‘Hazardous Air’ Threat Remains as Canadian Wildfire Smoke Cloaks U.S. Cities
There will be no respite from the thick, hazardous wildfire smoke that’s disrupting daily life for millions of people across the U.S. East Coast and Midwest anytime soon, a specialist meteorologist forecast Thursday.
AP reports the weather system that’s driving what’s now known colloquially as the great Canadian-American smoke out — a low-pressure system over Maine and Nova Scotia — “will probably be hanging around at least for the next few days,” U.S. National Weather Service meteorologist Bryan Ramsey said.
“Conditions are likely to remain unhealthy, at least until the wind direction changes or the fires get put out,” Ramsey said. “Since the fires are raging — they’re really large — they’re probably going to continue for weeks. But it’s really just going be all about the wind shift.”
As Breitbart News reported, smoke from the Canadian wildfires poured south on Wednesday, cloaking the capitals of both nations in an unhealthy haze, sending school recesses indoors and prompting people to fish out pandemic-era face masks.

Across the eastern U.S., officials warned residents to stay inside and limit or avoid outdoor activities again Thursday, extending “Code Red” air quality alerts in some places for a third-straight day as forecasts showed winds continuing to push smoke-filled air south, the AP report sets out. “New York City’s air pollution ranked the worst of any city in the world on Wednesday,” CNBC notes.
In Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser ordered schools to cancel outdoor recess, sports and field trips Thursday. In suburban Philadelphia, officials set up an emergency shelter so people living outside can take refuge from the haze.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said the state was making a million N95 masks — the kind prevalent at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic — available at state facilities, including 400,000 in NYC itself. She also urged residents to stay put.
“You don’t need to go out and take a walk. You don’t need to push the baby in the stroller,” Hochul said Wednesday night. “This is not a safe time to do that.”
The number of Americans breathing unhealthy air has hit 135 million, according to the American Lung Association.

Over 115 million across US and Canada choked by smoke as massive wildfires burn out of control
More than 115 million people across the eastern United States and Canada were under extreme air quality warnings Wednesday as choking smoke from massive wildfires burning in northern Quebec made its way as far south as Texas and Florida.
Extremely dry conditions and record-breaking heat driven by capitalist-induced climate change have resulted in the eruption of massive wildfires across Canada since early May. This has now developed into a public health crisis on an enormous scale.
The fires in Quebec have forced more than 11,400 people to flee their homes, with entire communities evacuated, including all 7,500 residents of Chibougamau. Over 460,000 hectares have already burned, breaking a more than 30-year-old fire season record, with many weeks yet to go.
The areas most impacted by the smoke include Canada’s main population centers of Montreal in Quebec and Ottawa and Toronto in southern Ontario, upstate New York and New York City, as well as Philadelphia in eastern Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh in the west.
In New York City, the center of Wall Street and world finance capital, the Air Quality Index (AQI) soared well above 400, giving it the worst air quality of any major city in the world and the highest level since 1999, when the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) began recording measurements.
A hazardous air quality warning, the highest possible warning, was issued for Central New York and Eastern Pennsylvania from Syracuse to Allentown, with the AQI exceeding 400 Wednesday afternoon. All the major urban centers of Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut reported extreme AQIs above 150, which the federal government deems unhealthy.
Photos and videos showed the skyline of Manhattan obscured by heavy smoke and the sky tinted deep orange. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a ground stop for flights into LaGuardia International Airport and slowed flights into Newark Liberty International Airport due to significantly reduced visibility. A Code Red Air Quality Action was issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for the entire state Wednesday.
The inhalation of fine particulate smoke from wildfires can trigger asthma attacks and heart attacks and contributes to longer-term health issues, including lung cancer. It can also exacerbate conditions for those who recently suffered pneumonia or myocarditis, common conditions for those infected by COVID-19. Poor air quality is responsible for over six million fatalities per year globally, making it among the leading causes of death.
Health experts have made urgent warnings about avoiding any work and exercise outside, and that those who have to go out should, at a minimum, wear N95 respirators.
Despite the nature of the threat, however, no recommendations have come from the federal, state or provincial governments that people wear N95 masks when outside in the smoke-affected regions. In New York City and across the affected region, children were still sent to school, even as buildings filled up with smoke. And even though the immediate impact of toxic smoke on those who work in agriculture, landscaping, construction and in factories is well known, there were no stay-at-home orders issued.
The WSWS received reports from workers Tuesday night and Wednesday at the Mack Trucks plant in Macungie, Pennsylvania, just outside Allentown, that workers were passing out on the line and suffering from nausea and headaches due to the smoke, but production continued. Under conditions of terrible air quality and heat, no efforts were made to ventilate the plant or provide workers with high quality masks. The second shift was finally canceled Wednesday as conditions continued to deteriorate and workers called out sick.
In New York City, workers at a Trader Joe’s walked out over unsafe conditions, declaring that the air was so bad that they had trouble breathing.
These horrors were repeated in countless workplaces across the affected regions of the US and Canada, with tens of millions forced to labor in unsafe and potentially deadly conditions.
As with every weather disaster or public health crisis, the capitalist ruling elites and their political representatives are totally indifferent to the suffering of the population. Their only concern is to keep production going and maintain profits in the face of mass suffering and death.
The apparatus of the trade unions, predictably, have done nothing to safeguard workers’ lives. The union bureaucracy has kept workers on the job throughout the affected region, with production halted only when workers took action themselves.
The experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has killed more than 20 million people globally and more than one million in the United States alone, has further inured the bourgeoisie to the misery they inflict on the working class. The dropping of all pretense to even mitigate the spread of COVID-19, allowing the virus to evolve into new and potentially more dangerous variants, signals the abandonment of the most basic principles of public health. Whether in response to the emergence of a new pandemic, or to what is in effect the mass poisoning of millions of people from smoke inhalation, the ruling class is determined that nothing will be done.
The widespread air pollution across Canada and the US is a graphic demonstration of the impacts of the deepening climate crisis, which scientists have repeatedly warned is fueling worse droughts, floods, wildfires, hurricanes and other devastating weather events. The consequences of unchecked global warming are not in the future, they are already happening and being borne by workers around the world.
Last year saw the worst flooding in Pakistan’s history, inundating one third of the country in water, killing more than 1,700 people and leaving over 2 million homeless. Australia witnessed one of its worst ever bushfire seasons in 2019-20, in which thousands of homes were destroyed and 34 people directly killed. An estimated 445 people died as the result of smoke inhalation. Meanwhile, extreme heat records have been repeatedly broken around the world, from China and India to the Arctic, which is one of the fastest warming regions of the planet. Last year was the fifth warmest on record globally and the last nine years were all in the top ten.

Immediate global action is required to combat climate change and its most devastating effects, which have no national solution. Only an international movement of the working class, without regard for national boundaries or linguistic or ethnic divisions, and guided by the latest scientific knowledge, will be able to stop and ultimately reverse global warming. This will require the socialist transformation of society to sweep away the capitalist financial oligarchy who are destroying the planet for their own private interests and to place power in the hands of the international working class.

They don't yet understand that the Democrat party they knew doesn't exist anymore. When did the Left go from Standing up to ‘The Man’ to becoming ‘The Man’?
“The Man” was the left’s bogeyman in the 1960s and 70s, representing establishment authority and oppression, from the Viet Nam war to the civil rights movement.
As the Urban Dictionary defines the term,
“The Man is the head of ‘the establishment’ put in place to ‘bring us down’. Though nobody has physically seen ‘the man’, he is assumed to be a male Caucasian between the ages of 25-40 and is rumored to have a substantial amount of acquired wealth, presumably acquired by exploiting those whom his ‘establishment’ is keeping down."

Decades ago, The Man represented authority figures like Nixon, Kissinger, Hoover, and McNamara. In those days, Democrats and the left railed against The Man in music, protests, and activism.
But a funny thing happened in the 1990s as those Baby Boomers once protesting against The Man came of age, assuming prominent positions in society and government, in essence becoming The Man, the monster they once despised and railed against.
Looking back through history, the Nixon administration and its footnote the Ford administration was considered The Man, especially after the Viet Nam War and Watergate. The left tasted power during the Carter years, but also got a mouthful of fecklessness and misery. The country said “enough” and elected Ronald Reagan to two terms, and George HW Bush to a single term although his “kinder and gentler” approach to governance was more Carter than Reagan.
Then came Bill Clinton, the first Baby Boomer president. Clinton was against the Viet Nam war, dodging the draft, writing a letter in 1969 to an ROTC leader discussing “loathing the military”. From fighting The Man to becoming The Man as president, this was the turning point.
Hard core leftist activist actor Ron Silver inadvertently exemplified, revealed, and explained this transition during Clinton’s first inauguration,
At Clinton’s first inauguration, he saw military jets flying over the Lincoln Memorial, and was disgusted. Then he thought, “Those are our planes now.”
Instead of fighting the establishment and authority, the left became that which they were fighting. They now controlled the levers of power, including the evil CIA, FBI, DOJ, military, and other oppressive government agencies.
Democrats and the left had transitioned from standing up to The Man to becoming The Man.
One could argue that the George W Bush presidency put the brakes on this transition, but only superficially. His reaction to the left’s now complete transformation into The Man shows that he was a mere place holder between the Clinton and Obama administrations.

Sundance of Conservative Treehouse described this transition as occurring in 2008 when Obama came to power, but I believe it was actually 16 years earlier when Clinton was elected. Obama simply floored the accelerator. As Sundance explained,

In January of 2009, the leftists, community organizers and activists took control of the systems they had opposed for the preceding 50+ years.
In January of 2009, and inflection point took place; an inflection point that no one realized in forethought, scale or consequence.
Starting in 2009, all of the systems of federal government were now under the control of the people who previously fought against the systems of federal government. Everything since is an outcome of that inflection point; that’s why everything flipped.
All true, but the first “activists” to control government were Bill and Hillary Clinton. Hillary was no less a radical than her husband. Her undergraduate thesis was entitled, “There is only the fight…An analysis of the Alinsky Model.”
George W Bush gave us the Patriot Act, where federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies were now weaponized against the American people.
Obama took Bush’s gift and pushed the limits, allowing the IRS to target Obama’s political opposition. This culminated in RussiaGate where his administration and agencies, using fabricated evidence, spied on a presidential candidate, transition, and administration by using the full weight of the FBI, DOJ, and CIA illegally as in a banana republic dictatorship.
Former watchdogs against government overreach by The Man, namely the media, happily went along. Many corporate media anchors and executives are the same Boomers who, like the politicians, transitioned from standing up to The Man to becoming The Man, now controlling the levers of power through traditional and social media.
Trump was aware, but powerless to stop it, as the cancer had metastasized far and wide into virtually all government agencies, media, tech, finance, sports, and most of the corporate world.
Biden let the process continue to gain steam, to the point that the current generation of The Man is brazen in their tyranny, weaponizing their government against all political opposition, from January 6 protesters and parents challenging local school boards, to even the former president and his associates.
There is no pushback against a weaponized government as evidenced by the Durham report describing “missteps” with no punishment for those who blatantly broke the law and abused the Constitution in pursuit of power and control.
One of the ringleaders, James Comey, in a treasonous conspiracy against the duly elected president, has “no regret” for his actions swaying public opinion before an election. So much for FBI Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity. The FBI is now a Democrat superPAC.
Remember when the left fought against J Edgar Hoover’s FBI? Now the left is that FBI, but far more tyrannical than Hoover ever dreamt of.
Where is the opposition, namely elected Republicans? Many are Boomers themselves, now, The Man, too, happy to enjoy the money, perks, and power that their new titles offer. Their silence is acquiescence.
The Man of the 1960s only dreamt of such power over their subjects, but the new 2020s Man has consolidated power and authority so firmly and broadly that even Trump and his MAGA movement are being squashed like insignificant bugs on America’s road to tyranny.
Will another generation stand up to The Man or will they be cowed into submission and subservience?

Biden Administration Blocks Disclosure of 2020 Election Censorship Docs
The Biden Administration is intervening to prevent the release of documents revealing the extent to which deep state actors and their third party allies interfered in the 2020 presidential election by pushing social media censorship.
The government seems particularly eager to stop the release of documents pertaining to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and the closely-linked Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), both of which are under intense scrutiny for their 2020 interference efforts.
Journalist Lee Fang has obtained emails showing lawyers from the Justice Department corresponding with Kate Starbird, who led the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public, one of the four organizations that made up the EIP.
In the emails, the Justice Department asks which CISA documents have been subject to public records requests, so they can determine whether to block their release.
Via Lee Fang:
“We’ve heard from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) within the Department of Homeland Security that the Daily Caller News Foundation has requested documents from the university, which may include documents that belong to CISA,” wrote Assistant U.S. Attorney Annalisa Cravens of the Western District of Washington in an email to Kate Starbird, a computer science professor at the University of Washington (UW).
“Could we please see a copy of any relevant CISA documents that you may plan to produce?” Cravens, the assistant U.S. attorney, wrote in her email to Starbird. “[W]e would also ask to have an extension of time before the records are produced so that we can have time to review them and assess whether we’ll have to file suit to protect them from disclosure.”
Faced with multiple lawsuits, as well as the Twitter Files, the full picture of the federal government’s obsession with censoring social media platforms after the election of Donald Trump in 2016 has emerged. All that remains is for the lawsuits to run their course

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard just broke the mold.
Tulsi, we all love and appreciate you. You are our hero. You may have changed the midterms. You may have just saved America!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your courage, strength and raw honesty. You have done something that no one could even imagine before this week. You just broke with not only the entire Democrat Party, but also the D.C. swamp, the deep state and the evil cabal of Marxist Democrat donors like George Soros and Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum.
You just exposed the purposeful Democrat plan to destroy this country. Remarkably, you said it louder and with more truth than 99% of Republican officeholders and 99% of Republican candidates in this election.
Gabbard’s exit statement in leaving the Democrat Party sounded like I wrote it. It was word for word everything I’ve said on my national radio show, two national television shows and podcast for years. Word for word.
We finally have a true Democrat insider who has witnessed and exposed the evil of the Democrat Party.
Gabbard didn’t just say something short, sweet and meaningless, like “I’m not leaving the Democrat Party; the party left me.” She stuck a sword through their heart like a hero killing a monster. She destroyed the Democrat Party like no former Democrat officeholder has in history. She explained in detail their radical agenda.
Gabbard’s exit speech read like a Donald Trump or Wayne Allyn Root stump speech. She called Democrats an elitist cabal.
She admitted they have weaponized the government against conservatives.
She blames Democrats for wanting to kill free speech and send their political opponents to prison.
She reported Democrats are anti-white — in other words, she admitted Democrats are racists who hate white people.
She said Democrats are hostile to people of faith — and want to take away our God-given freedoms.
She admitted Democrats have purposely opened the borders to destroy America.
She reported Democrats hate and demonize the police and openly protect and support criminals.
She said Democrats are a cabal of warmongers intent on starting World War III and bringing us purposely to the brink of nuclear war.
She said Democrats don’t believe in government of, by and for the people, but rather a government of, by and for the powerful elite.
She warned of the woke direction these radical, extreme idealogues are taking our country.
And then she added in a media interview that Democrats are ushering in the “normalization of pedophilia.”
All true. But… WOW. My jaw is on the floor. No former high-level Democrat official has ever said these words in history.
I’ve reported and warned about every one of these threats to our country for many years. So, what’s the significance of Gabbard saying these same things?
No. 1: She is the first Democrat congresswoman and former Democrat presidential candidate to ever admit any of this. That’s credibility.
No. 2: She is giving an “insider” account of what is happening in the Democrat Party at the highest levels. She is a witness. She proves what I’ve always warned: These are not mistakes, ignorance or incompetence. This is all a purposeful, planned, coordinated, radical, extreme, communist, globalist, fascist attack on America.
No. 3: Her words should embolden moderate and RINO Republicans to tell the truth about how bad this attack on America really is — 99% of Republican candidates have never gone this far, never used words like this. They are cowards, scared of their own shadows. They’re worried about what the media would say about them. Hopefully Gabbard’s words will embolden (or shame) them to start telling the raw truth about what what’s really happening to America. Gabbard gives them cover.
No. 4: Gabbard’s brave words and action could inspire moderate, non-insane Democrats like Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona to leave the Democrat Party to become either Republicans or independents.
My hope is that Tulsi Gabbard is the canary in the coal mine. She is the model. She has started a trend. She has started a tsunami away from the radical, insane, extreme, America-hating Democrat Party.
Gabbard then backed up her words by immediately endorsing two MAGA, America-First Republican candidates: Joe Kent for Congress in Washington and GOP Senate candidate Dan Bolduc in New Hampshire. I don’t know if Gabbard is officially joining the GOP, but it’s a darn good start!
Tulsi, it’s great to have you on my team. Welcome to “Wayne’s World.” You may have just changed the direction of America. You may have just saved the GOP with your raw truth. God bless you.

Christopher Wray and the Politicization of the FBI
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has shocked many Americans by becoming a politicized law enforcement arm of the Democrat party. As the target of one of the FBI and Department of Justice political attacks -- solely because I had been talking to Ukrainian whistleblowers about Biden family corruption in that country -- I want to discuss the problem. It starts with the most political Director of the FBI, Christopher Wray.

CORRUPTION IN THE FBI: The malicious and ethics-free raid on Mar-a-Lago is viewed even by many Democrats and all Republicans as vicious political intimidation, with the goal of destroying any followers of Donald Trump. This began in earnest during the "Russia collusion" case and saw its culmination in midnight raids of innocent conservatives revealing a hateful, vengeful vigilantism on the part of the radical left. In the hope that supporters of Trump and other conservative candidates would drop out of politics in fear of similar reprisals, these Gestapo tactics have not only solidified Trump's support and the support of even moderately conservative candidates, but have shown the Left to be petty children in a deranged, red-haze temper tantrum.
