WATCH: Biden Lashes Out at Reporter for Question About Hunter’s Business

August 10, 2023

President Joe Biden lashed out at a reporter when asked about the growing evidence linking him to his son's foreign business dealings.

"I never talked business with anybody, I knew you'd have a lousy question," Biden on Wednesday told Fox News reporter Peter Doocy. The reporter asked about testimony from Hunter Biden's former business associate Devon Archer last week that Biden was on speakerphone during business meetings with his son's foreign business partners.

Biden told Doocy "it's not true."

Archer, who also sat on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings with Hunter Biden, told the House Oversight Committee last week that Hunter Biden called his father more than 20 times during business meetings to sell the Biden "brand."

It's not the first time Biden got into it with Doocy about his role in his family's foreign business.

"I have never spoken to my son about his overseas dealings," Biden told Doocy in 2019, before yelling at him to "ask the right questions."

Archer also testified that Biden attended a dinner as vice president with several business associates of his son, including "Vadym P. from Burisma."

"Vadym P." refers to Vadym Pozharskyi, a Burisma executive who thanked Hunter Biden for bringing his father to the dinner, which took place at Café Milano in Washington, D.C.

"Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spend some time together," Pozharskyi wrote in an April 2015 email that the New York Post first reported in 2020.

Archer also revealed last week in an interview that Biden sent him a letter in 2011, contradicting the president's claims that he never discussed his son's business dealings.

"I apologize for not getting a chance to talk to you at the luncheon yesterday. … I hope I get a chance to see you again soon with Hunter. I hope you enjoyed lunch. Thanks for coming," then-vice president Biden wrote to Archer. A handwritten portion reads, "P.S. Happy you guys are together."

Biden Bristles at ‘Lousy’ Question on Archer Testimony, Says ‘I Never Talked Business with Anybody’

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden shot back at Fox News Channel White House Correspondent Peter Doocy for his “lousy question” about the testimony of Hunter Biden’s former business associate Devon Archer about the President’s phone calls to Hunter that were put on speakerphone for Hunter’s business associates and maintained that he “never talked business” with anyone.

Doocy asked, “There’s this testimony now, where one of your son’s former business associates is claiming that you were on speakerphone a lot with them, talking business, is that –?”

Biden cut in to answer, “I never talked business with anybody, and I knew you’d have a lousy question.”

Doocy then asked, “Well, what do you — it’s — why is that a lousy question?”

Biden responded, “Because it’s not true.”

In Defense of Hunter Biden

By Alexander G. Markovsky

Notwithstanding Hunter Biden's moral deficiencies in other matters, based on what has been publicized so far, legally, he may have done nothing wrong being part of his father's Ukrainian enterprise. Joe Biden’s shenanigans and his son’s role in it need to be understood in the context of Ukraine's corrupt political culture.

Corruption is deeply embedded into the Ukrainian DNA. It is the blood of the Ukrainian economy - the stimulus for government officials and employees to perform their duties. Corruption is a fundamental necessity, a precondition for functioning governance.

Never-ending redistribution and re-division of assets is a defining characteristic of the Ukrainian business environment. People in business are constantly threatened by corporate raiders that attack businesses with guns, forged ownership documents, or new laws and regulations. To protect themselves from these realities, businesses hire “roof.” In criminal jargon, it means protection. Various entities offer protection: organized crime, police, high-ranking government officials, etc. The necessity for a “roof” is built into the cost of doing business.

In 2002, during President Viktor Yanukovych's tenure, his ecology minister Mykola Zlochevsky registered Burisma Holding Limited in Cypress. Burisma secured lucrative government licenses for gas field exploration and production to become Ukraine's second-largest private gas company. And not by accident. De jure, the licenses for the exploration of natural resources are drafted as bilateral agreements between the government entities and private enterprises, but de facto, they are unilateral and revocable grants of privileges by a president and high-ranking government officials to their cronies and supporters. As long as President Yanukovych was in power, Mr. Zlochevsky’s assets were secured from a hostile takeover. President Yanukovych was his “roof” and benefactor.

But nothing is permanent in the wicked Ukrainian world.

In February 2014, Yanukovych was overthrown in an America-sponsored coup and fled the country. Zlochevsky followed him shortly after. In a dramatic reversal of fortunes, Burisma overnight changed from one of the strongest to one of the weakest. The recourse of the weakest was to find a new “roof” before the newly-elected Petro Poroshenko’s government was sworn in during June 2014.

It is unknown when and who approached Joe Biden or John Kerry, Secretary of State at the time, and what was offered in exchange for lobbying and political support. But on April 22, 2014, Devon Archer, a managing partner of Rosemont Seneca Partners, a $2.4 billion private equity firm co-owned by the stepson of John Kerry, Christopher Heinz, was put on Burisma’s board.

On May 13, 2014, Hunter Biden himself joined the board.

On the same day, Christopher Heinz rushed to distance himself and the firm from what looked like an unscrupulous endeavor. He sent emails to Matt Summers and David Wade, two of his stepfather’s top aides at the State Department, “I can’t speak why they decided to, but there was no investment by our firm in their company,” wrote Heinz. Whether Christopher Heinz intended to dissociate his firm from the activity or to create plausible deniability, the passage revealed that the State Department was aware of the arrangement and exposed Christopher Heinz’s concern regarding, if not the legality, the ethics of the undertaking.

For Burisma, the impact of having Hunter Biden and Devon Archer on its board could not be overstated. It had acquired an ultimate “roof” — the Vice President of the United States of America. We must not be naïve; Burisma did not hire good-for-nothing drug addict Hunter Biden for his expertizes or business acumen. It did not hire obscure Devon Archer for his administrative genius either — they were simply messengers. There was no other way to interpret the assignments of Hunter Biden and Devon Archer to the board of Burisma.

By their presence on the board the “roof” sent a subliminal message to Poroshenko, who made no secret of his desire to add Burisma to his basket of assets, that the United States government protects. Although Poroshenko got the message, he could not resist the temptation. As soon as he was sworn in, he directed his prosecutor-general, Vitally Yarema, to open a corruption investigation into Burisma.

Corruption investigations have been an effective instrument of force reallocating assets in Ukraine. It is important to point out that Yarema did not investigate Hunter Biden. There was simply nothing to investigate, Burisma was a private company and could appoint to its board anybody. Yarema was tasked to uncover or manufacture some dirt on Burisma and its owner Mykola Zlochevsky.

In January 2015, Yarema was replaced with Poroshenko’s close associate Viktor Shokin, who continued the investigation. Just like his predecessor, Viktor Shokin did not investigate Hunter Biden. Prosecutor Shokin was directed by President Poroshenko to build a corruption case to forfeit the profitable gas licenses awarded to Burisma.

By 2016, the investigation was at its pinnacle, and Burisma’s management panicked. They had been contacting the State Department requesting it to help end the investigation. In the spring of 2016, Joe Biden was forced to act. He stepped in to protect his son’s employer, Burisma Holdings, and demanded Poroshenko dismiss Shokin.

Poroshenko tried to stall it, but Biden issued an ultimatum, “You have six hours to solve the problem, or Ukraine would lose a billion dollars in US aid.” Poroshenko capitulated — Shokin was fired.

Biden bragged about his accomplishment: ‘You have no authority. You’re not the President —Poroshenko said’ … I said, 'Call him.' I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a b----. He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.

In the process, Biden inadvertently admitted that President Obama, if not involved, at least was aware of the shady business of his Vice President.

At this juncture, Poroshenko realized the futility of his efforts and decided that having a percentage of something is better than a hundred percent of nothing. He made a deal with Zlochevsky. Poroshenko’s trusted man Igor Kononenko joined Burisma’s board. The vanquished enemies became allies. Miraculously, there was no longer a need for investigation, and a new prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko, “who was solid at the time,” closed the probe. There was no longer a need for Joe Biden’s services either. Hunter Biden and Devon Archer eventually resigned from Burisma's board. Zlochevsky returned to the country. The “roof” had earned its pay.

The payment must be worth millions of dollars. The sixty thousand dollars a month paid to Hunter Biden and Devon Archer was a drop in the bucket. The big money has gone to someone else. Lacking an understanding of the Ukrainian business environment, the Republicans have been targeting Hunter Biden, a tiny fish in multimillion dollar international protection rocket who may not even be fit for prosecution. Thus far, he has served as a distraction from investigating the senior-level perpetrator(s).

Foreigners Paid More Than $20 Million to Biden Family, Associates: Bank Records

Zachary Stieber
August 9, 2023Updated: August 10, 2023

President Joe Biden’s son, other family members, and their associates were paid more than $20 million by Russians and other foreigners while President Biden was vice president, according to bank records released on Aug. 9.

Russian, Ukrainian, and Kazakhstan nationals were among those paying the Biden family and their associates, according to the records. Russian billionaire Yelena Baturina, for instance, paid $3.5 million to a company called Rosemont Seneca Thornton, with about a third going to Hunter Biden associate Devon Archer. Another $2.75 million went to an account started just one day earlier for Rosemont Seneca Bohai on Feb. 13, 2014.

Mr. Archer testified recently that he and Mr. Hunter Biden co-owned the account.

Ms. Baturina, the widow of former Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, was among those present at dinners in Washington that President Biden attended, Mr. Archer recently told members of Congress. That included a dinner held within months of the payment.

The White House hasn’t denied the allegations.

Also at the dinner, according to Mr. Archer, was ex-Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov. Mr. Massimov was sentenced to prison time this year for allegedly participating in an attempted coup in his home country. An associate of Mr. Massimov’s, who met with Mr. Hunter Biden, paid Mr. Hunter Biden the exact amount that was sent to a car dealership in New Jersey for a sportscar for Mr. Hunter Biden, according to the records and Mr. Archer.

Mr. Archer also testified that Mr. Hunter Biden placed President Biden on the phone about 20 times and that Mr. Hunter Biden, in exchange for payments, delivered the Biden family “brand.”

“During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden sold him as ‘the brand’ to reap millions from oligarchs in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine. It appears no real services were provided other than access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself. And Hunter Biden seems to have delivered,” Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) said in a statement.

The White House, a lawyer who has represented President Biden, and an attorney representing Mr. Hunter Biden in his criminal case didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Mr. Comer, who chairs the U.S. House of Representatives Oversight Committee, has previously released records detailing payments to the Biden family, including President Biden’s brother, from Chinese and Romanian nationals.

The committee has so far subpoenaed six different banks, receiving thousands of records, including the new ones, as they probe the Biden family. They haven’t yet subpoenaed records of members of the family. None of the payments so far uncovered have been directly tied to President Biden, though at least one account that received money was held by an unidentified Biden.

The records show that the family and their associates created more than 20 companies, many while President Biden was vice president, from 2009 to 2017, and that the way the payments were distributed to various accounts appeared aimed at concealing large payments from foreigners, Mr. Comer has said.

President Biden falsely said on the campaign trail in 2020 that Mr. Hunter Biden hadn’t made money from China. He also said, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in July after some of the records were released that the president was “never in business with his son.” She later denied that the statement was a shift from President Biden’s previous claims.

Democrats have largely defended the president. Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) noted that, according to Mr. Archer, no business was discussed when President Biden was placed on the phone. Mr. Archer also said that he didn’t witness President Biden talk business during the 2014 and 2015 dinners.

“This investigation has uncovered ZERO evidence connected to President Biden. In fact, the evidence is clear that President Biden had nothing to do with Hunter’s businesses,” Mr. Goldman said in a recent statement.

The committee said the records have shown “deficiencies … in the current legal framework regarding ethics laws and disclosure of financial interests related to the immediate family members of vice presidents and presidents—deficiencies that may place American national security and interests at risk.”

Members are looking to craft legislation that would address the issue.

“It’s clear Joe Biden knew about his son’s business dealings and allowed himself to be ‘the brand’ sold to enrich the Biden family while he was Vice President of the United States,” Mr. Comer said on Aug. 9. “The House Oversight Committee will continue to follow the money trail and obtain witness testimony to determine whether foreign actors targeted the Bidens, President Biden is compromised or corrupt, and our national security is threatened.”

What has taken so long? We’ve all heard about the younger Biden

making millions from shady business associations in Ukraine, China and

other countries. He didn’t pay taxes on much of it, and only paid his tax

bill when a new friend in Hollywood, Kevin Morris, who also just

happens to be a big donor to Joe Biden’s campaign, stepped in to pay the

back taxes — about $2 million — as well as Hunter’s sky-high living

expenses. The idea was that Morris’ largesse would allow Hunter to say

to the Justice Department: “Look, I paid my taxes. I’m clean. Let’s move

on.”

Hunter Biden’s Best Friend Testified Before Grand Jury About the Biden Family, Lawyer Says

July 24, 2023

Hunter Biden associate Devon Archer has testified before a federal grand jury regarding the Biden family and plans to be interviewed by the House Oversight Committee next week, his attorney said Monday.

Matthew Schwartz, who represents Archer, told the Washington Free Beacon that Archer has met with numerous investigators regarding the Biden family.

"Devon Archer believes strongly in the rule of law and the democratic system, and is prepared to answer the Committee’s questions just as he has already answered similar questions from a federal grand jury, the Department of Justice, and several other government agencies in their investigations concerning the Biden family," Schwartz said.

According to the New York Post, Archer plans to tell the Oversight panel that he was with Hunter Biden on more than two dozen occasions when the embattled first son called his father during meetings with foreign business partners. The Post reported Archer will testify that Hunter Biden called his father on speakerphone during one meeting they had in December 2015 with the owner of Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian energy company that paid Hunter Biden and Archer more than $80,000 a month.

The report marks a major development in the Biden family saga. The president has repeatedly denied ever speaking with his son about his foreign business ventures. The report also comes after Republicans released an FBI report that shows a confidential source told the FBI in 2020 that Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky claims he paid $10 million in bribes to Hunter and Joe Biden for political favors.

Schwartz did not comment on the Post report, but said Archer will testify before the Oversight panel next week.

"There have been many leaks and much speculation about Mr. Archer’s potential statement to the Oversight Committee, but next week, Mr. Archer will get to speak for himself."

Hunter Biden and Archer were partners at the investment firm Rosemont Seneca until Archer’s indictment on federal fraud charges in 2016.

It is unclear whether Archer spoke to the federal grand jury or prosecutors about Hunter Biden’s phone calls to Joe Biden. The U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware reached a plea agreement with Hunter Biden last month on misdemeanor tax charges. He also pleaded guilty to a felony gun charge, but will enter a diversionary program to wipe that charge from his record.

Two IRS whistleblowers have accused the Justice Department of pulling punches in the Hunter Biden investigation. IRS agents Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler testified last week that federal prosecutors who handled the investigation initially sought felony taxes charges against Hunter Biden, including for Hunter Biden’s failure to report income from Burisma. But the IRS investigators said the Justice Department ultimately settled for misdemeanor counts.

Shapley and Ziegler said prosecutors prohibited investigators from asking questions about Joe Biden and other members of his family.

The Biden family business received over $20 million from Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan while President Joe Biden was vice president in the Obama administration, the House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) revealed.

The committee previously unveiled two tranches of Biden business bank records. Those showed the Biden business received at least $10 million from business schemes in Romania and China. In total, nine Biden family members received payments from the family foreign business ventures, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren.

Comer predicted in June that the committee’s work would ultimately show the Biden family accepted up to $30 million from its foreign business dealings.

The committee revealed the third tranche Wednesday after subpoenaing six different banks and receiving thousands of records in response. The committee said its subpoenas were tailored to individuals and companies that engaged in business activities with Biden family members and their business associates.

The committee has not yet subpoenaed Biden family members.

“During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden sold him as ‘the brand’ to reap millions from oligarchs in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine,” Comer said in a press release. “It appears no real services were provided other than access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself.”

Comer said Joe Biden is implicated in the payments due to his personal relationship with the family’s business associates.

“This is made clear by meals at Café Milano where then-Vice President Joe Biden dined with oligarchs from around the world who had sent money to his son,” Comer said. “It’s clear Joe Biden knew about his son’s business dealings and allowed himself to be ‘the brand’ sold to enrich the Biden family while he was Vice President of the United States.”

The committee provided specifics about the bank records:

  • Hunter Biden and Devon Archer Used Rosemont Seneca Entities to Bring in Millions from Oligarchs in Europe and Asia: Using accounts nominally tied to Devon Archer (but using the familiar “Rosemont Seneca” branding), Hunter Biden received incremental payments originating from foreign sources, attempting to hide the source and size of the payments.
  • In February 2014, a Russian Oligarch Sent $3.5 Million to a Shell Company Associated with Hunter Biden and Devon Archer: Russian billionaire Yelena Baturina transferred $3.5 million to Rosemont Seneca Thornton, a shell company. Approximately $1 million was transferred to Devon Archer, and the remainder was used to initially fund a new company account, Rosemont Seneca Bohai, which Devon Archer and Hunter Biden used to receive other foreign wires.
  • In the Spring of 2014, a Ukrainian Oligarch Placed Archer and Biden on the Burisma Board of Directors and Agreed to Pay them $1 Million Each per Year: Burisma Holdings’ (Burisma) corporate secretary, Vadym Pozharsky, worked on behalf of the Ukrainian oligarch and owner of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky. Hunter Biden was initially hired by Burisma to work as counsel for the company, and Pozharsky and Zlochevsky met with Hunter Biden at a conference in Lake Como in Italy where they decided Hunter Biden would work on the board of directors with Devon Archer. Then-Vice President Joe Biden visited Ukraine soon after their first payments. Payments from Burisma for both Devon Archer and Hunter Biden were wired to Rosemont Seneca Bohai. Payments were transmitted in incremental amounts to Hunter Biden’s different bank accounts.
  • In April of 2014, a Kazakhstani Oligarch Wired the Exact Price of Biden’s Sportscar to a Bank Account Used by Archer and Biden: In February 2014, Hunter Biden met with Kenes Rakishev at a Washington, DC, hotel. Rakishev worked closely with the prime minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Massimov. In April, Rakishev, a Kazakhstani oligarch, wired $142,300 to Rosemont Seneca Bohai. The next day, a payment was made from Rosemont Seneca Bohai for a sportscar for Hunter Biden in the amount of $142,300. Archer and Biden then arranged for Burisma executives to visit Kazakhstan in June 2014 to evaluate a three-way deal among Burisma, a Chinese state-owned company, and the government of Kazakhstan.
  • Hunter Biden received millions of dollars in payments from Yelena Baturina, Burisma, and Kenes Rakishev. Vice President Biden had dinner with them in the spring of 2014 and 2015 in Washington, DC.

President Joe Biden attends his granddaughter Maisy Biden’s commencement ceremony with first lady Jill Biden and children Hunter Biden and Ashley Biden at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Monday, May 15, 2023. (AP Photo/Patrick Semansky, File)

Comer said in July the Biden family business caused six banks to flag more than 170 “large” amounts of money in Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the treasury for review, 20 more than previously known. SARs “often contain evidence of potential criminal activities, such as money laundering and fraud,” according to a 2020 Senate report.

Comer believes the Biden family opened more than 20 shell companies to hide payments and launder money. “When you set up a bunch of shell companies for the sole purpose to launder money, that is called racketeering,” he said.

America Last: Biden’s Billions for Ukraine Could Have Built a Wall Two Times Across U.S.-Mexico Border

President Joe Biden, with help from Congress, has sent more than $66 billion in American taxpayer money to Ukraine since the start of its war with Russia—an allocation of money that could have built a border wall nearly two times across the United States-Mexico border.

Since the start of the war in 2022, Congress has approved more than $113 billion in aid for Ukraine, and Biden is expected to ask for another $10 billion aid package when Congress returns from recess. Since 2022, the United States has given more foreign aid to Ukraine than to any other country in the world, according to a Washington Post analysis. The bulk of the allotted aid has gone to military contractors making weapons and equipment for Ukraine while the rest has been used to supplement Ukraine’s national budget and provide humanitarian relief.

A conservative estimate by the Washington Post puts the amount of U.S. military, financial, and humanitarian aid sent to Ukraine since 2022 at $66.2 billion. Based on the Post’s estimate, the Biden administration could have completed nearly two brand new walls across the United States’ roughly 1,900-mile-long border with Mexico.

That calculation is based on the amount of money, about $20 million per mile, that former President Donald Trump spent on border wall construction — building nearly 460 miles of wall from January 2017 to January 2021.

The Trump administration had secured about $15 billion, mostly by bypassing Congress, to construct a total of about 740 miles of border wall. The remaining roughly 280 miles of wall that had not yet been constructed by the time Trump left office has largely been canceled by the Biden administration.

Angel Mom Sabine Durden Coulter told Breitbart News she is appalled by Biden’s prioritizing foreign borders over U.S. borders. Durden Coulter’s son, Dominic, was killed in 2012 by illegal alien Juan Zacarias Tzun — a twice-convicted drunk driver whom sanctuary state California officials failed to deport.

jbinder

“Thousands of Americans die at the hands of illegal aliens, like my son Dominic 11 years ago,” Durden Coulter said. “Add the thousands of deaths because of fentanyl that comes through our open border — all those deaths are 100 percent preventable and didn’t have to happen.”

“If only we had an administration that would make it a priority to close and secure our border, finish the wall, and hire more personnel to help protect our country,” she continued. “But the Biden administration clearly isn’t concerned about our safety. They have sent billions of dollars to the Ukraine while we are hurting and more and more cities are overrun and resources that should go to American citizens, are used for illegal aliens.”

The nation’s unfinished border wall, where the majority of the border remains without any physical barrier, has caused states to take on the burden of border security. In Texas, for example, Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has placed a floating barrier in the Rio Grande to prevent illegal immigration.

In Arizona, former Gov. Doug Ducey (R) had filled in gaps in the border wall with storage containers. Current Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) has since removed those containers.

Texas Department of Public Safety
0 seconds of 2 minutes, 4 secondsVolume 90%

Since Biden began sending tens of billions in aid to Ukraine, millions of illegal aliens have been encountered at the southern border. In Fiscal Year 2022, alone, more than two million illegal aliens were encountered — a record in the nation’s history. Likewise, by February, already over a million illegal aliens had been encountered this fiscal year.

Last year, as Biden began sending U.S. taxpayer funds to Ukraine, the United States saw more than 109,000 drug overdose and poisoning deaths. Many of those deaths were a result of fentanyl which comes through the border from Mexico after being largely manufactured in China.

At the same rate as last year, the data indicates that already 63,000 Americans have died from drug overdoses and poisonings.

Though the federal government refuses to track crimes committed by illegal aliens, Breitbart News has chronicled, for more than a decade, the Americans and legal immigrants victimized by those who are not legally in the country.

Most recently, an illegal alien is accused of murder in Portland, Oregon. Another illegal alien, in Nebraska, is accused of starving his daughter, forcing her into domestic servitude, and repeatedly sexually assaulting her. In Bay County, Florida, seven illegal aliens were among the 19 men arrested for child sex crimes.

“This should be a wake-up call for every American, regardless of their political affiliation,” Durden Coulter said. “Ask yourself ‘Why a President [and his] administration would not take care of its own citizens first?’ We, our families, and the next generations deserve better.”

Exclusive — Heritage Action Outlines Principles for Potential Ukraine Aid Package

PATRICK T. FALLON/NICHOLAS KAMM/AFP via Getty Images
PATRICK T. FALLON/NICHOLAS KAMM/AFP via Getty Images

Heritage Action for America Acting Executive Director Ryan Walker outlined the principles by which a future Ukraine aid package should be accepted.

Punchbowl News reported that President Joe Biden will ask for another Ukraine aid package, which could exceed $10 billion.

Walker outlined some of the principles by which Congress should consider this new aid package:

  • There must be a public accounting of the $113 billion in military and economic aid to Ukraine. Walker said that there has not been much accounting of the economic aid despite the accounting for military aid.
  • The aid must be considered on its own, not attached to must-pass legislation.
  • The administration has to lay out a strategy for Ukraine and how long the American people will be on the “hook” to aid Ukraine.

Walked cautioned that congressional leaders may try to attach the aid to a must-pass spending bill, such as an appropriations bill or the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

“There are proponents of this [Ukraine aid] in powerful positions within the Congress, and they will find avenues to be able to have this considered and knowing that there are a couple of must-pass pieces for the rest of the year,” Walker warned.

Walker also said that Americans are questioning the country’s seemingly endless support for Ukraine, noting that the United States has continually been engaged in conflict since the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Walker said:

I think the American people are rightfully questioning how long we are supposed to be committed to this. After just going through a period of 20 years of conflict, ever since September 11. We have essentially been in some sort of global conflict somewhere. And I think people are tired of it.

A poll released last week found that a majority of Americans oppose sending more aid to Ukraine. Walker continued:

I think it’s finally seeping into the American conscience that this is yet another or could quickly become yet another quagmire that we are stuck in for years, not months or weeks, and the cost is unending. There is truly no limit to what the proponents of this aid want to spend. So, I think the American people are right, the question and we’ll look forward to weighing in as Congress considers some of this stuff.

Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH), who led a push to have the Biden administration adopt a strategy on Ukraine, wrote, “Biden must define our end goal before another dime of aid is given. Without a defined mission, how can we ever say “mission accomplished”? How will we ever know if we’re funding a just war? The Biden admin owes Congress a defined mission. It’s long overdue.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met management representatives from the globalist investment firm BlackRock in Kyiv this week to discuss the formation of a massive fund for the reconstruction of the war-torn country.

In a meeting with Philipp Hildebrand, Vice Chairman of BlackRock, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that the sit down will send a “strong signal of strengthening the investment climate.”

“The details of the creation of an investment fund to restore Ukraine’s economy were discussed at a meeting with the management of the largest asset management company in the world, BlackRock. The main goal of the fund’s creation is to attract private and public capital for implementing large-scale business projects in Ukraine,” the president wrote on Telegram.

“It is important not only for our people, our society, but also for business, entrepreneurs abroad. Today is a historic moment because, since the very first days of independence, we have not had such huge investment cases in Ukraine. We are proud that we can initiate such a process,” Zelensky added.

BlackRock, the infamous investment firm backing the controversial ESG (Environmental Social Governance) scheme often likened to the Chinese Communist Party’s social credit score, said that the company has agreed to provide support for Ukraine’s Development Fund.

“It is a historic moment if not the greatest opportunity to unite the private and public sectors at a time when technological innovation can become a catalyst for further development,” Philipp Hildebrand said.

Globalist onlookers have for some time been champing at the bit to take advantage of the potentially lucrative opportunities to rebuild Ukraine following over a year of Russian assaults on the country, with European leaders, in particular, seeing a possible solution to the economic woes of their own countries by scooping up reconstruction contracts from Kyiv.

Speaking from Davos at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in January, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stressed the looming business boon of reconstructing the country, saying that German businesses should expect the benefits of a “Ukrainian economic miracle”.

The left-wing Chancellor said that he envisioned German firms being at the forefront of a “Marshall Plan for the long-term reconstruction of Ukraine”.

“Private-sector capital will play a key role here. I know that many companies in Germany and beyond are very aware of the opportunities that a Ukrainian economic miracle could offer to them,” Scholz added.

More recently, last month, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who has come under criticism from her populist base for her strident support of the Zelensky government, held a bilateral conference in Rome attended by scores of Italian and Ukrainian businesses. At the meeting, Meloni went on to call for the European Union to fast-track the admission of Ukraine.

For his part, Zelesnky has long stressed the business opportunities awaiting allies at the conclusion of the war, with the president claiming back in September that the estimated cost of rebuilding the country had already climbed above one trillion dollars.

Zelensky, who has long been in contact with BlackRock and other potential investors, said at the time that: “the general project of Ukrainian reconstruction will be the largest economic project in Europe of our time. The largest for several generations.”

In 2018 and 2020, Breitbart Senior Contributor and Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer published Secret Empires and Profiles in Corruption. Each book hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and exposed how Hunter Biden and Joe Biden flew aboard Air Force Two in 2013 to China before Hunter’s firm inked a $1.5 billion deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China less than two weeks after the trip. Schweizer’s work also uncovered the Biden family’s other vast and lucrative foreign deals and cronyism.

It's currently unknown whether he met with foul play or voluntarily dropped out of sight. However, what is well established is that since that fateful interview with the FBI in March 2019, Luft has made powerful enemies in both Chinese and American intelligence and, of course, in the Biden syndicate.

Where Is the Missing Biden Witness, Gal Luft?

By Mark Adams

Last February, Dr. Gal Luft, a retired Israel Defense Forces lieutenant colonel with deep intelligence ties in Washington and Beijing, was arrested as an alleged gun runner. At the time, he claimed the arrest was to stop him from revealing what he knows about the Biden crime family and FBI corruption. Now, Dr. Luft has disappeared entirely.

In the early 2000s, Luft formed a think tank called the Institute for Analysis of Global Security (IAGS) that focused on energy innovations and policy. Accordingly, from 2015 to 2018, Luft organized international energy conferences. He did this in partnership, with the China Energy Fund Committee (CEFC-USA), the non-profit arm of CEFC, China’s huge energy conglomerate that was headed by one Ye Jianming. Ye reportedly has ties to Chinese military intelligence. CEFC-USA, in turn, was headed by Patrick Ho.

In September 2020, the story broke about Hunter Biden’s laptop, which first revealed that the CEFC began to court the Bidens in 2015:

According to documents in the laptop, the Biden family began their ties with CEFC in 2015. In May 2017 … the Bidens formed Sinohawk Holdings to carry out their partnership with CEFC. CEFC agreed to pay Sinohawk $5 million and transfer another $5 million to the Biden family as a gift. (Emphasis added.)

As the New York Post summarized,

Hunter met with Ye, over a private dinner in early February 2017, at which the CEFC chairman made him a generous offer of $10 million a year, for a minimum of three years.

The funds, suspiciously, were earmarked for “introductions alone.”

Later in the summer of 2017, Ye was concerned that Patrick Ho might be under investigation and asked Hunter Biden for help. Hunter told the New Yorker that he agreed to represent Ho and to “try to figure out” if he was under scrutiny by law enforcement.

So where does Gal Luft fit into this? In February 2023, Gal Luft found himself detained in Cyprus on arms trafficking charges as he was about to head for Israel. He claimed that this was politically motivated because had dirt on both the FBI and the Biden family. He’d tried to inform the DOJ in 2019, during Trump’s presidency, but was ignored. Now, though, with things heating up around Biden, says Luft, he’s being silenced.

He contends that Hunter Biden had an FBI mole named “One-Eye.” That mole told Ye and Ho that the DOJ was investigating them. Further, said Luft,

Soon after that tipoff, Ye offered Hunter $1 million to be his “private counsel” and flew to China, leaving his wife, daughter, son, mother, and nanny in his $50 million penthouse at 15 Central Park West.

He was detained in Shanghai three months later and disappeared.

Before he left New York, Ye told Ho that the coast was clear for him to come back to the US.

On Nov. 18, 2017, Ho flew into JFK Airport, where he was arrested by FBI agents on bribery and money laundering charges.

Ho’s arrest provided another shady business opportunity for Hunter. From the same article:

Hunter was paid $1 million by CEFC to represent Ho, which entailed contacting his FBI sources on Ho’s behalf and engaging another attorney to do the legal work, according to emails on his laptop.”

Luft claims he contacted the DOJ after Ho was jailed and federal investigators flew to Brussels to interview him in the presence of his attorney Robert Henoch for more than 18 hours on March 28 and 29, 2019. (Emphasis added.)

While the Hunter info is interesting, what’s really significant is that Luft told the DOJ that an FBI insider was “selling sealed U.S. law enforcement information to Chinese individuals”—and the DOJ didn’t care.

Now, though, Congressman Comer’s House Oversight Committee has been investigating Luft’s claims:

In a March 2 interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox, Comer referred to Luft as “the straw that broke the camel’s back.” He said that after word got out of Luft’s arrest, “we’ve had three people that were involved in the Hunter Biden shady business schemes that have communicated with my committee staff.”

The reason Luft’s information mattered so much is that it helped explain the money Hunter Biden was bringing in, As Robert Henoch, Luft’s lawyer said,

Congress has the Biden bank records but it doesn’t know the reason for the payments. Now it does. The information that the whistleblower Dr. Luft gave the DOJ four years ago is the missing link for the reason behind the China-Biden money transfers. Clearly, this is explosive stuff.” (Emphasis added.)

It was this information, which lay dormant in the DOJ for so many years that was the predicate to Luft’s arrest on what he claims are trumped-up charges of arms trafficking to China and Libya and violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. One must ask why, if Luft was such a notorious gun runner, he wasn’t arrested over four years ago in March 2019 when he spent 18 hours telling FBI agents everything he knew about the Bidens and Hunter.

Moreover, while the warrant was issued in November 2022, and it spells out heinous crimes, Luft wasn’t arrested for another three months:

The government issued its arrest warrant in November. It has a cooperative agreement and relationship with the Israeli Ministry of Justice and state prosecution. And yet, it didn’t communicate the arrest warrant to Israel. Israeli officials could have arrested and investigated Luft at any time. (Emphasis added.)

That long delay, standing alone, is suspicious. Immediately after his arrest, Luft went public about his claims regarding the FBI, the Bidens, and China:

Luft’s arrest prompted concern for his safety. On March 23, former congressman Steve King shared his worries on Twitter:

King may have been right to worry. Things took a sinister turn at the end of March. Luft, who was being held in a Cyprus jail awaiting a hearing to determine if he should be extradited to the United States, was released on bail after finally securing the necessary funds. And then he disappeared:

In March, a Cypriot court deliberating a US extradition request had instructed him to surrender his passport to authorities and post 400,000 euros as bail before being released from custody. He was also required to register at the Paphos police station weekly but failed for the past month and did not appear for three trial dates. Luft’s car was found abandoned on the island a day after his disappearance was reported.

It's currently unknown whether he met with foul play or voluntarily dropped out of sight. However, what is well established is that since that fateful interview with the FBI in March 2019, Luft has made powerful enemies in both Chinese and American intelligence and, of course, in the Biden syndicate.

The Hunter Biden Whistleblower

This one might just be a game changer.

The Justice Department has been investigating President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden for a long time. The probe began in 2018, before the elder Biden even decided to run for president. It is now in its fifth year. Hunter Biden has not been charged with any wrongdoing. The investigation continues.

What has taken so long? We’ve all heard about the younger Biden making millions from shady business associations in Ukraine, China and other countries. He didn’t pay taxes on much of it, and only paid his tax bill when a new friend in Hollywood, Kevin Morris, who also just happens to be a big donor to Joe Biden’s campaign, stepped in to pay the back taxes — about $2 million — as well as Hunter’s sky-high living expenses. The idea was that Morris’ largesse would allow Hunter to say to the Justice Department: “Look, I paid my taxes. I’m clean. Let’s move on.”

Hunter Biden also retained a new, high-powered legal team, plus an aggressive public relations team, and in January, the New York Times reported that the Justice Department, in the person of the U.S. attorney in Delaware, David Weiss, was moving toward letting Hunter off easy. From the Times, on Jan. 11: “Mr. Weiss, people familiar with the investigation say, appears to be focused on a less politically explosive set of possible charges stemming from [Biden’s] failure to meet filing deadlines for his 2016 and 2017 tax returns, and questions about whether he falsely claimed at least $30,000 in deductions for business expenses.”

That’s a slap on the wrist! What a deal! If the leak was true — and who knows exactly what path it took into the New York Times — then Hunter Biden was heading toward a very happy ending to his corruption investigation. The probe would take years and years and then … fizzle out.

How exactly might that happen? Now there is a new story that could help explain what has been going on. A whistleblower has emerged from inside the Internal Revenue Service, which has been working with the Justice Department on the Hunter Biden investigation. The whistleblower is a career IRS criminal supervisory special agent who has retained a lawyer and written a letter to Congress claiming the Biden administration is interfering with the investigation into the president’s son.

The anonymous special agent retained a lawyer, Mark Lytle, who took the matter to the inspectors general of both the IRS and the Justice Department. Now, Lytle has written to the Republican and Democratic leaders of the House and Senate tax and judiciary committees. According to the letter, the special agent can detail “examples of preferential treatment and politics improperly infecting decisions and protocols that would normally be followed by career law enforcement professionals in similar circumstances if the subject were not politically connected.” The special agent can also tell about “clear conflicts of interest” as well as possible false testimony to Congress about the case.

Now the whistleblower wants to tell the story to Congress — but only if he can secure the “appropriate legal protections.” “Despite serious risks of retaliation,” Lytle wrote, “my client is offering to provide you with information necessary to exercise your constitutional oversight function.” In addition, Lytle said, the special agent wants to give information to Congress “in a non-partisan manner,” which is why the letter was sent to both Republican and Democratic lawmakers.

It would be an understatement to say that Republicans on the Hill gave the whistleblower letter a positive reception. It’s a “game changer,” Senate Judiciary Committee member Lindsey Graham told Fox News recently. “This is somebody in the IRS at a high level who apparently is willing to come forward to tell Congress that during the investigation of Hunter Biden, there was obstruction, there was a thumb on the scale to the point that they feel they need to let the Congress know if this is true. And I don’t know yet, but if this is true, if the Department of Justice yet again puts their thumb on the scale politically, then all hell is going to break out and there will be hell to pay.”

It should be said that Graham can be a big talker, but there is no doubt that if the whistleblower’s allegations — whatever they are — are both true and significant, they could make big waves in the Hunter Biden investigation, which House Republicans frequently point out is really a Joe Biden investigation. Realizing the risk, some Democrats are cautiously saying they want to know more about the whistleblower’s story.

What else could they say? Three years ago, Democrats went to the barricades to defend an anonymous CIA employee who filed a legally baseless whistleblower complaint against then-President Donald Trump in the Ukraine matter. It was legally baseless because there is no legal process for filing a whistleblower complaint against the president of the United States. There is no inspector general, no supervisor, who has the authority to investigate the president.

Nevertheless, House Democrats embraced the whistleblower and his complaint all the way to Trump’s first impeachment. They did that because they could; in the House of Representatives, the majority can do what it wants. Now Republicans have the majority in the House, and another whistleblower escapade could be coming into view.
