JOE BIDEN - FOLKS, I'M RAKING IT IN - WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM??? - Bidenomics Broke America: Real Household Income Suffers Biggest Drop In 12 Years

I’d be inclined to disagree with Don except for one thing: Biden has proven to be a very adept criminal mastermind. For decades, he has funneled millions of dollars to his children and siblings and, especially, to his debauched, deviant son, Hunter. ANDREA WIDBURG

There it is.  That's the issue.  To begin, you have the corrupt family Biden.  They've been scamming us and our system well for almost fifty years.  The man is supposedly worth over 250 million dollars.  How is this possible on his salary?  It's not.  So where did his wealth come from?  Not from being a brilliant businessman. DAVID PRENTICE

Things Have Not Been This Bad Since Biden Was Obama’s Vice President

The last time Americans saw a drop in household income as large as we did last year, Barack Obama was president.

The Census Bureau on Tuesday released its calculations for the change in real median household income for last year. By its calculations, the median income of U.S. households fell in 2022 by 2.3 percent, the worst decline since 2010.

History may not necessarily repeat or even rhyme, but it certainly rings a bell on occasion. The last time household income suffered a decline as large as it did in the second year of Biden’s presidency was in the second year of Biden’s vice presidency.

That’s before taxes. Once you calculate in changes to the taxes paid and subsidies handed out, household income fell 8.8 percent. A lot of the post-tax decline had to do with the lapsing of the Biden administration’s pandemic “rescue” policies—like child tax credits and the super-sized earned income tax credit—that pumped up incomes and contributed to the worst inflation in decades.

The real median earnings of all workers—which includes part-time and full-time workers—declined 2.2 percent. Median earnings of those who worked full-time, year-round fell 1.3 percent.

The Biden White House and its establishment media allies keep acting like the Big Guy’s low approval rating on the economy—and low approval rating overall—is some big, unfathomable mystery. The same with depressed consumer sentiment and surveys showing that large numbers of Americans believe we were in a recession this year.

Some have even speculated that this was the result of a mass delusion or Republican propaganda. The answer, of course, is much simpler. People got poorer because inflation ate away the value of their incomes. That’s left a lot of people with a bad taste in their mouths when they are forced to speak the name Joe Biden.

The “Family” Secrets: Income Details Are Even Uglier

Digging down into the details of the Census report on income for 2022 only makes things look worse.

Family household income actually fell by even more than the median, dropping 2.9 percent. Non-family households saw a climb of 0.8 percent. Older Americans saw an income decline of 2.1 percent, worse than the 1.4 percent decline for people under 65. So, families and the elderly have suffered the most.

That chaos at the southern border? It is not helping Americans earn better incomes. Native-born incomes fell 2.5 percent while foreign-born incomes actually edged up 0.2 percent.

Incomes were down across the country. The region that got hit the hardest was the Midwest, where income fell by a stunning 4.7 percent. In the Northeast, where Biden dominated electoral results in 2020, median household income fell 3.8 percent. In the West, income fell 3.2 percent. In the South, income ticked down just 0.1 percent.

The damage to incomes in the Midwest and the Northeast may be a factor for voters in swing states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan next year.

While Joe Biden claims his programs will rebuild the economy from “the bottom up,” the numbers do not support that contention. The official poverty rate was 11.5 percent, with 37.9 million people in poverty. “Neither the rate nor the number in poverty was significantly different from 2021,” the Census Bureau said.

There was a big jump in a confusing gauge called the “supplementary poverty measure.” Remember when Biden claimed that child poverty had been cut nearly in half? (A claim he repeated on Tuesday, by the way.) This was not as measured by the official poverty rate but the supplemental measure, which includes government handouts. Biden could not muster enough support to continue some of his pandemic handouts now that the crisis has passed, so this measure of child poverty went up by 4.6 percent, the biggest single-year drop ever.

The Biden administration wants you to think this is evidence of the cruelty of Republicans who refused to vote to continue the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) welfare measures. A better interpretation is that ARPA never did much to reduce child poverty in the first place. It just papered it over by sending checks to extremely low-income households. Remove the handouts and suddenly the impoverished kids are seen to be impoverished again.

Bidenflation Resurgent?

Joe Biden memorably said 15 months ago that bringing down inflation was his “top domestic priority.”

“Look, the bottom line is this: Americans have a choice right now between two paths, reflecting two very different sets of values,” Biden said in a speech at the White House in May of 2022. “My plan attacks inflation and grows the economy by lowering costs for working families, giving workers well-deserved raises, reducing the deficit by historic levels and making big corporations and the very wealthiest Americans pay their fair share.”

We now know how that worked out. The culprit in the decline in real income last year was inflation. The measure the Census Bureau uses to adjust for inflation rose to 7.8 percent last year, the biggest jump since 1981. No wonder 63 percent of the public say they disapprove of Biden’s handling of inflation.

On Wednesday, the Labor Department will release the August consumer price index (CPI). The consensus estimate has moved from an expectation for inflation to be basically flat with July’s monthly rise of 0.2 percent to an increase of 0.6 percent, largely because energy prices have risen sharply. The year-over-year headline figure is seen as coming in at 3.6 percent, up from July’s 3.2 percent.

Core CPI is expected to fall by more even though the annual numbers will still be higher. The forecast is for 0.2 percent month-over-month, matching July, and 4.4 percent year-over-year, down from July’s 4.7 percent.

The Cleveland Fed’s nowcast is less hopeful on inflation. It sees headline rising by around 0.8 percent for the month and 3.8 percent for the year. Core inflation is nowcasted at nearly 0.4 percent for the month and 4.5 percent for the year.

The official tally is in and it is brutal: Americans suffered the biggest drop in household income in 2022 in a dozen years.

Real median household income was $74,580 in 2022, a drop of 2.3 percent from the prior year, the Census Bureau said Tuesday.

This is the biggest drop in household income since 2010, when it household income fell 2.6 percent. That means it is worse than the pandemic decline of 2.2 percent. It is the fourth worst year in records going back to 1985.

The declines were driven by high inflation. The measure of inflation that is used to calculate real income rose 7.8 percent, the worst inflation since 1981.

The real median earnings of all workers—including part-time and full-time workers—declined 2.2 percent between 2021 and 2022. Median earnings of those who worked full-time, year-round fell 1.3 percent in 2022.

The figures are even worse once taxes are figured into the equation.  Real median post-tax household income in 2022 fell 8.8 percent in 2022.

Income inequality also got worse in 2022 once taxes are calculated. Pre-tax, income inequality—as measured by an gauge of income distribution called the Gini index—declined for the first time since 2007. After taxes, however, the index increased 3.2 percent. An increase in the Gini index signals increasing income inequality.

The official poverty rate in 2022 was 11.5 percent, with 37.9 million people in poverty. This was unchanged from the prior year.

Getting Biden Wrong

By Paul Gottfried

Okay, I get it! From listening to Republican TV and reading Republican publications, I have learned that Joe Biden is a sleazy, mendacious, and demented chief executive. He has weaponized the entire Justice Department and the IRS against his real and suspected political opponents, thrown open our southern border to drug cartels, and reduced our armed forces and international posture to shambles. Moreover, Joe has a gangster son with whom he has engaged in illegal business ventures; and it’s entirely possible that the cocaine recently found in the West Wing of the White House came from son Hunter, who is a drug addict as well as many other bad things.

Darrell Issa: ‘Culture of Corruption’ Is ‘Crippling’ the Biden Presidency

A “culture of corruption” is “crippling” the Biden presidency, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) said in a statement on Tuesday following the launch of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) formal impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.

Issa remarked:

I fully support the decision today by Speaker McCarthy. The initial evidence uncovered by this Congress is overwhelming, and the time has come. As a Senior Member of the Judiciary Committee, I look forward to contributing to this inquiry and revealing the full facts regarding the president’s actions.

Issa added that the evidence against Biden is both “troubling and incontrovertible.”

“From his earliest days in office, President Biden has misstated key facts about his knowledge, participation, and profiteering from the selling of access and the peddling of influence undertaken by his family and friends,” he continued, adding that Biden has “inappropriately delayed, denied, and stonewalled congressional inquiry and oversight into one scandal of his term after another.”

Further, Issa said Biden has “relentlessly misled the American people.”

“Enough is enough. With this formal inquiry, Congress will utilize its full capabilities to conduct its constitutional duty and complete a full unearthing of the culture of corruption that is crippling this presidency and staining the highest office in the land,” he added.

Other members of Congress expressed strong support for the impeachment inquiry as well.

“Our work on the House Oversight Committee produced evidence that President Biden continually lied to the American people about his involvement in his family’s shady business dealings,” Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-NY) said.

He continued:

We’ve uncovered millions in foreign money to various Biden family members, and we know President Biden was involved in meetings with Hunter’s foreign business ties. I applaud Speaker McCarthy for initiating this logical next step to use the full power of the House to bring answers to the American people, and I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Oversight Committee, under the exceptional leadership of Chairman Comer, to bring transparency and accountability to this Administration.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), the GOP House Conference Chair, said she is “committed to ensuring that we uncover the truth about what I believe will prove to be the biggest political corruption and criminal scandal in our nation’s history.”

“An impeachment inquiry will allow the American people to finally see the proof of Biden’s corruption. If the House sends an impeachment to the Senate, I will vote for the accountability Tennesseans want to see,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) remarked.

The statements followed McCarthy’s historic announcement, in which he detailed why he decided to move forward with a full impeachment inquiry, citing mounds of evidence of malfeasance.

“Through our investigations, we have found that President Biden did lie to American people about his own knowledge of his family’s foreign business dealings,” McCarthy said, noting that witnesses testified that Biden “joined on multiple phone calls and had multiple interactions.”

“Dinners resulted in cars and millions of dollars into his sons and his son’s business partners,” McCarthy continued, noting that bank records show that “nearly $20 million in payments were directed to the Biden family members and associates through various shell companies.”

“Finally, despite these serious allegations, it appears that the president’s family has been offered special treatment by Biden’s own administration — treatment they not otherwise would have received if they were not related to the president. These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction, and corruption,” McCarthy said, noting that he did not make this decision lightly.

“Regardless of your party or who you voted for, these facts should concern all Americans. The American people deserve to know that the public offices are not for sale,” he continued, urging Biden to “fully cooperate with this investigation in the interest of transparency.”

Exclusive — Whip Tom Emmer on Biden Impeachment Inquiry: ‘Not Even President Biden Is Above the Law’

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) told Breitbart News in an exclusive statement on Tuesday he backs Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) impeachment inquiry, saying “not even President Biden is above the law.”

“The American people gave our House Republican majority a mandate to provide transparency and accountability, and that’s exactly what we’ve done over the last eight months,” Emmer said in a written statement. “Chairman Comer has proved the Biden family engaged in a disturbing pattern of corruption that included selling government access to foreign adversaries like China. I fully support Speaker McCarthy’s commitment to follow the facts wherever they lead and ensure no one, not even President Biden, is above the law.”

Emmer’s statement follows after McCarthy launched an impeachment inquiry into Biden for “abuse of power, obstruction, and corruption.” The speaker said House Republicans have uncovered “serious and credible allegations” against Biden.

“Taken together, these allegations paint a picture of a culture of corruption,” McCarthy explained. “These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction and corruption. They warrant further investigation by the House of Representatives.”

“That’s why today, I am directing our house committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden,” he continued. “This logical next step will give our committees the full power to gather all the facts and answers for the American public. It’s exactly what we want to know: the answers.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), and House Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) will lead the inquiry.

Emmer told Breitbart News in January that he would consider impeachments of Biden, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and other officials if the House investigations found evidence of “impeachable malfeasance.”

“The best disinfectant for corruption is sunlight, transparency, and there has been none, and there’s a lot of corruption in this administration, and outside of it by the way, relating to it,” Emmer said.

He also argued that there had been a “double standard” for accountability between Biden and former President Donald Trump over “breaches of public trust, and maybe more.”

For the sake of this discussion, we’ll leave aside the numerous, undeniable matters of outright financial corruption, influence pedaling, and bribe taking, since it would appear that most of those incidents occurred when Biden was still actually in control of his faculties.

Biden is a Gold Mine

Joe Biden is the proverbial gold mine. Someone is going to give into the all-too-obvious temptation and make a veritable fortune very soon. Doing so will pretty much permanently ruin that individual’s prospects as a major operative in future Democrat doings, but someone, somewhere, is going to grab that overly tempting low-hanging fruit. There is a “tell-all” book coming soon, without question, an “Emperor Has No Clothes” moment, a “Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the Curtain” reveal, one that will cause the objective world to say, “Aha! Knew it all along!” while making the hyperpartisan Democrat apologists in the government and the liberal media cringe with inescapable, crushing humiliation.

It probably isn’t necessary to list every example of verbal incoherence, physical fragility, cognitive decline, or policy illogic and inconsistency. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll leave aside the numerous, undeniable matters of outright financial corruption, influence pedaling, and bribe taking, since it would appear that most of those incidents occurred when Biden was still actually in control of his faculties.

What we’re looking at here is the outright inability of Joe Biden to function as a lucid, balanced individual with a clear-minded grasp of the issues and nuances of presidential policy, ever since just before the 2020 election.

During the 2020 campaign, Biden veered off in so many strange directions it was difficult to keep up with them: From his jumbled, confused rambling of “We hold these truths…. that all men…. you know, the THING!” to his inexplicable fabrication of the irrelevant Corn Pop episode to his flat-outright creepy story about how he has hairy legs that turn blond in the sun and kids would like to stroke his legs in the pool, his 2020 campaign was one bizarre interlude after another.

Then came the debates with President Trump. To the total shock of any sane person paying even a modicum of attention, Biden somehow made it through the debates without freezing up and hitting a mental wall. Sure, the debate moderators did all they could to lay up softball after softball for him and tried to interrupt and trip up President Trump in every way they could, but the energy and ability to focus displayed by Biden defied anything he’d shown on the campaign trail and his mental aura during those debates stands in marked, obvious contradiction to anything he’s displayed while in office. Unlike championship sports competitions, there are no “pre-debate” drug tests for presidential candidates. But there should be. Someone knows.

While he’s been in office, the examples of cognitive incoherence and physical fragility have only gotten worse and more numerous. He wanders off stage before interviews are over. He turns and shakes hands with invisible people. He transparently cuts reporters’ questions short to avoid having to think on his feet or demonstrate a mastery of the issues, saying he’ll “Be in trouble” if he talks too much. He falls off his bicycle. He stumbles up and down stairs. He trips and falls when no normal person would.

As stated above, someone knows. Actually, many people know. The question is who will give into the irresistible financial allure of such a project and do the deed, knowing that such a spilling of the beans will unquestionably mark the end of their Democratic career?

It will take a combination of guts, disloyalty, and abject greed. Writing a turncoat confessional, divulging all the dirty inner secrets that so many have long suspected will be a major occurrence, without question. The liberal media will absolutely excoriate the person who does this and the media will do everything they can to discredit the effort as nothing more than a personal act of vengeance by an aggrieved party, someone with a personal ax to grind with Biden.

However, so many people have undoubtedly witnessed enough firsthand day-in/day-out evidence that any number of people would be more than qualified and credible to write it. If people are honest with themselves, anyone in his entire inner circle could do it. If it comes from a high-profile advisor, cabinet member, or medical professional, it will ring true to the public -- regardless of party -- and be almost impossible to slough off.

Trying to guess “who will do it” is not a particularly productive endeavor at this point, and in any event, it’s not necessary to do so. Certainly, some individuals currently or formerly from the Biden administration have a bit more personal gravitas and credibility than others, while many others on Team Biden come across as intellectually compromised, down-the-line Kool-Aid drinkers, demographic box-checkers who couldn’t put forth a believable, sequential narrative if they tried.

If Biden and the Democrats somehow don’t manage to steal the 2024 election and a Republican wins the White House, someone will absolutely write this book and the feeling here is that it will be the big seller of 2025.

Actually, my guess is that it’s already written, just waiting to go.
