Pelosi: ‘Our Democracy, Our Flag, Our Constitution’ Is At Stake if Trump Wins
Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” that if former President Donald Trump wins the election in 2024, “our democracy, our flag, our Constitution, the future of our children” is at stake.
Anchor Lawrence O’Donnell said, “What are the stakes for the world when they hear Donald Trump say he would be a dictator on day one, if he is elected president again, and what do dictators like Vladimir Putin here in that statement?”
Pelosi said, “They hear a comrade in arms, but the fact is, he is not going to win. Nothing less is at stake in this election then our democracy, and that democracy means your freedom to have access to health insurance, your own decision-making about your family’s size and timing and the rest, your freedom to have education, read of books that aren’t banned, your ability to be who you want to be in this country. So democracy is a value, a principle, but it is also translating into your kitchen table about the freedom that you have to make your choices about how your family goes forward.”
She continued, “As far as dictators and other countries, they recognize what they see in the former president. They see somebody who shares their concern, their distain for the press. The press is the guardian of our democracy, on the First Amendment, freedom of the press tells the story of what is going on, accountability, transparency, and governance in our society. They want to suppress the press, want to characterize it in a negative way.”
Pelosi added, “He is trying to crawl back into the White House, but we cannot let that happen. I say that with all due respect in the world for the people who may have voted for the former president but they have to make a decision, think about our democracy, our flag, our Constitution, the future of our children in a democratic state that is a model to the world.”

Arizona Border Surge Results in Mass Migrant Releases into United States by Biden Admin
TUCSON, Arizona — Breitbart Texas observed a constant stream of fully loaded buses carrying migrants from a Border Patrol processing facility to the Casa Alitas Migrant Welcome Center in Tucson. As each bus carrying migrants released by the Border Patrol arrived at the center on Wednesday, a simultaneous flow of buses, taxis, and travel vans shuttled newly released migrants to other destinations farther inland — some destined for the Tucson International Airport to begin their journey to cities across the nation.
According to a source within CBP, not authorized to speak to the media, the latest border surge places the Tucson Border Patrol Sector atop the list of those along the southwest border for migrant apprehensions. On Tuesday, 10,400 migrants were arrested by the Border Patrol along the southwest border. On Wednesday, the total number arrested dropped to slightly more than 8,000 bringing the two-day total to 19,000 migrant arrests nationwide.
The source says the current migrant surge resulted in nearly 70 percent of all migrants taken into custody by the Border Patrol being released to pursue asylum claims in the United States. Once released from federal custody, the migrants are free to travel anywhere in the country.
Breitbart Texas posted at the border within the Tucson Border Patrol Sector and observed the dilemma faced by the agency as they cope with thousands of migrant crossings daily. Processing facilities operated by the Border Patrol have exceeded their capacity to detain and process migrants in recent days. According to the source, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Air Operations branch resources have been redirected to fly migrants to areas experiencing fewer migrant crossings, such as El Paso and McAllen, Texas, to alleviate the strain on Tucson Border Patrol facilities.
The source says most migrant removals currently involve Mexican citizens opting to return to their country voluntarily and those nationals from the Central American Northern Triangle countries of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. Flight tracking software indicates two outbound removal flights conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) contract air carrier Swift Airlines to Guatemala and one to Honduras on Thursday. None were recorded to countries outside the hemisphere.
The source says removing migrants from countries outside the hemisphere is nearly impossible due to the lack of diplomatic issues in some cases and the limited availability of ICE-contracted aircraft to adequately address the increase in migrant crossings along the southwest border.
In Lukeville, Arizona, the flow of migrants has resulted in hundreds of migrants being detained outdoors in the Organ Pipe National Monument reserve at the base of the border wall. As reported by Breitbart Texas, a similar practice has been observed in the Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector, where one busy crossing point along the Rio Grande in Eagle Pass, Texas, is also inundated with migrant crossings. There, migrants are left to wait for hours outdoors to be transported to Border Patrol facilities facing issues of overcrowding.
The increase in migrant releases into the United States likely spells continued woes for New York City and other metropolitan areas far from the border. Nearly 4,000 migrants released at the southern border arrived in New York City last week, according to city officials. The city has estimated the cost to care for the more than 100,000 migrants that arrived since 2022 to be more than $12 billion through 2025.
The expense incurred by non-government shelters in border cities, such as Tucson’s Casa Alitas shelter run by the Catholic Community Services of Arizona, is proving costly as well. Non-government migrant welcome centers within the Tucson Border Patrol sector received more than $7 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Shelter and Services program in 2023 to shelter and coordinate travel for migrants released into the United States.
According to a recent report by the GOP majority on the Committee on Homeland Security, officials estimate the cost to taxpayers to provide services to migrants across the country could reach $451 billion per year to provide education, law enforcement, healthcare, and other services.

Threat of Terror Attack Increases ‘Almost Exponentially’ with Each Passing Day of Biden’s Border Policy, AZ Rep. Warns
The Biden Administration’s open-border policy is putting the U.S. at an ever-increasing risk of being hit with a terrorist attack, Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ) warned Thursday.
In an interview with Fox & Friends First, the Arizona congressman responded to Pres. Joe Biden’s claim that Republicans are to blame for the number of immigrants flooding into the U.S. Instead of taking responsibility for the single-day record of more than twelve thousand migrant encounters on Tuesday, Biden accused Republicans of having an “extreme partisan border policy.”
Biden also blamed what he vaguely called a broken immigration “system” – apparently voicing frustration that his administration hasn’t been able to process, legalize, and grant citizenship to aliens as fast as he’d like to do so.
“It’s not the Republicans who have opened the border,” Rep. Biggs said in response, explaining how one town in his state was overwhelmed by dangerous border-crossers earlier this week:
“Look, there was not, in that group of a thousand in Lukeville, Arizona two days ago, there was not a single female, there was not a single child. Every one of that thousand-plus persons was 18-35 year-old men – we call that ‘military age’ – they have made this country very dangerous.
“We know there was probably another five thousand people who came that day, that didn’t turn themselves in.”
Asked how much the threat of a terror attack increases each day the Biden Administration continues to allow a record a record number of border encounters, Rep. Biggs issued a dire warning, explaining that many migrants are coming from countries with ties to terrorist organizations:
“It increases almost exponentially.
“In the briefings that I’ve had recently, they’ve acknowledged that Venezuela, for instance, has ties with Hezbollah and Hamas. And we have people coming up from Venezuela daily that are actually submitting themselves.”
The threat is even worse than the administration’s counts suggest, Biggs explained:
“But, we don’t know how many people are getting away every day. We do know that, in the Biden Administration, there’s over two million unknowns that have come into the country.
“That means we don’t know their country of origin, we don’t know where they’re going into this country. And, we don’t know what their intentions are in this country.”
It’s also concerning that the migrants entering the U.S. are already dressed for battle, Biggs said:
“But you can be assured that, since they’re through dressing in camo and wearing carpet shoes and have backpacks, they’re either bringing drugs, they’re with the cartels – and some of them are actually probably related to terrorist activity and are hoping to create a terrorist event within this country.”

Mexican Government Twisting Facts to Downplay Cartel Violence, Explosives
Mexican government officials are twisting facts in an attempt to downplay the raging cartel violence spreading throughout the border state of Tamaulipas. In the most recent incident, public officials are hiding a large-scale attack on law enforcement by cartel gunmen and the use of explosives by passing it off as a scuffle between drug gangs.
The incident took place early on Monday morning in the downtown area of Llera, Tamaulipas, where a group of Gulf Cartel gunmen clashed with state police forces. The large-scale shootout spread terror throughout the rural city, prompting school officials to cancel classes. During the clash, authorities killed one gunman, seized two cartel vehicles, and had several police cars damaged. Exclusive information obtained by Breitbart Texas points to military forces having to be sent out due to the presence of explosives in the area.
Through their official accounts, Tamaulipas state officials claimed that authorities were responding to a scuffle between armed civilians. A second post pointed to the seizure of a vehicle. In the aftermath, officials refused to release any additional information.
Breitbart Texas obtained exclusive access to communication between Mexican military forces, revealing an attack on police in Llera. One of the guards of the police building was the one who called for help. Military forces noted the presence of something listed only as “explosive material.”
Near the scene of the shootout, authorities found the body of 21-year-old Juan Diego Bocanegra Gonzalez — a cartel gunman who was wearing body armor and carrying a rifle. It remains unclear how many gunmen took part in the shootout.
The case points to an ongoing strategy by the Tamaulipas government to minimize the raging violence spreading through most of the state. As Breitbart Texas reported, top officials with the Tamaulipas government have favored particular drug cartels in exchange for campaign funds and political support.

Fact Check: Vivek Ramaswamy Is Right, Wuhan Is Shipping Fentanyl Materials to Mexico
CLAIM: Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy claimed that precursor drugs used to make fentanyl “are coming from labs in Wuhan, China” and going to Mexican drug cartels.
VERDICT: TRUE. Wuhan is one of China’s top chemical-producing cities and for years dominated fentanyl manufacturing; it has since evolved into the home of top suppliers of fentanyl precursor ingredients.
Ramaswamy noted Wuhan’s status as the home of several chemical corporations linked to the production of fentanyl – and, in particular, accused of selling precursor drugs to Mexican cartels that then produce the fentanyl and ship it to the United States. Ramaswamy was responding to a question on Wednesday night during a Republican presidential primary debate, hosted by the network NewsNation.
Asked if his promise to use the military to eliminate drug labs in Mexico was “giving false hope” to Americans plagued by an increasingly severe fentanyl overdose crisis, Ramaswamy described the decision to combat the cartels as “the easy part.”
“The easy part is talking about how we are going to use our military to secure the border. I will, and I believe that everybody else [on stage] wants to do the same thing,” he responded. “But the harder part is dealing with the crisis of purpose and meaning, the mental health epidemic raging across this country like wildfire.”
Ramaswamy returned to the origin of fentanyl later in his answer, asserting, “A lot of these [precursor materials] are coming from labs in Wuhan, China, of all places, drug materials that are going to the Mexican drug cartels that they are pumping across that southern border like a modern opium war.”
The candidate added that, if elected, “I will tell [Chinese dictator] Xi Jinping: you will not only not buy land in this country or donate to universities in this country, U.S. businesses won’t expand into the Chinese market until they’re playing by the same set of rules.”
“The same country that’s putting fentanyl into illegal pharmaceuticals in Mexico – it’s no coincidence – is the exact same country that unleashed hell on the world with the COVID-19 pandemic,” he concluded. “We also have to hold them accountable with every financial lever we have available.”
Wuhan, China, is most known internationally as the first city to document cases of the novel coronavirus that fueled a pandemic beginning in early 2019. Prior to the pandemic, however, Wuhan had already developed a reputation as a hub for fentanyl production.
“For drug traffickers interested in getting in on the fentanyl business, all roads once led to Wuhan,” the Los Angeles Times observed in 2020. “The sprawling industrial city built along the Yangtze River in east-central China is known for its production of chemicals, including the ingredients needed to cook fentanyl and other powerful synthetic opioids.”
The Los Angeles Times report identified Mexican drug cartels as “the biggest customers” for Wuhan’s fentanyl industry.
China’s brutal lockdowns following the pandemic, which began in Wuhan itself, affected the global supply chain of fentanyl significantly, raising prices and resulting in drug cartels shifting strategies. The ties between Wuhan pharmaceutical companies and Mexican drug cartels persisted, however, leading to the U.S. government sanctioning and indicting some of those companies.
In April, the Treasury Department announced sanctions on Wuhan Shuokang Biological Technology Co., Ltd, a pharmaceutical company, and its own Yao Huatao for being a key supplier of fentanyl precursor drugs. In June, the Justice Department announced criminal charges against several Chinese pharmaceutical executives and companies for allegedly providing fentanyl precursors. The Wuhan-based Hubei Amarvel Biotech Co. Ltd. was accused of having “exported vast quantities of the precursor chemicals used to manufacture fentanyl and its analogues.”
Amarvel Biotech, the Justice Department noted, openly advertised “stealth shipping” of their products to Mexico and appeared to have ties to the Sinaloa Cartel.
Another series of eight Justice Department indictments announced in October targeted several more Chinese companies, including at least one headquartered in Wuhan, accused of “fentanyl trafficking conspiracy and international money laundering.”

I’m supposed to lose a minute’s sleep when I live in a great country where everyone gets what they vote for.
