Joe Biden: ‘Just a Bunch of Lies’ I Interacted with Hunter’s Foreign Business Associates - GOP: 327 Emails, 22 Phone Calls
On Tuesday, Pres. Joe Biden called it “just a bunch of lies” that he interacted with his son Hunter’s foreign business associates – prompting Republicans to release hundreds of emails and report 22 conversations in which Joe Biden did just that.
Responding to a reporter’s question, Pres. Biden repeatedly called it “lies” that he had ever interacted with foreign business associates of his son:
Reporter: “Can you explain to the Americans — to Americans, amid this impeachment inquiry, why you interacted with so many of your son and brother’s foreign business associates?”
Biden: “I’m not going to comment on that. I did not. And it’s just a bunch of lies.”
Reporter: “You didn’t interact with”…
Biden: “They’re lies.”
Reporter: “…any of their business associates?”
Biden: “I did not. They’re lies.”
Republicans were quick to respond, pointing to a plethora of instances contradicting Joe Biden’s claim.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) cited then-Vice President Biden’s speakerphone and email interactions:
“Joe Biden: Dined at Cafe Milano with oligarchs from around the world that sent his son money. Joined by speakerphone with Biden family associates over 20 times. Used aliases as Vice President to email with his son’s business associate.
“@POTUS just continues to lie.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) was even more forceful and specific in providing a “FACT” about Biden’s interactions:
“The President just lied again to the American people.
“FACT: There are at least 22 examples of Joe Biden speaking with or meeting with Hunter Biden’s foreign business associates.”
On Tuesday, House Ways and Means Chair Jason Smith (R-MO) announced the release of “Never before seen evidence from IRS whistleblowers confirm that Joe Biden lied when he claimed he knew nothing of his son's business dealings”:
“E-mail data released by IRS whistleblowers reveal Vice President Joe Biden sent and received at least 327 emails from Hunter Biden, James Biden, and Hunter Biden’s business partner Eric Schwerin– all from hidden alias emails.”
In a press release, the committee details the preponderance of its evidence that Joe Biden lied:
“The House Ways and Means Committee voted to release 56 new pages of evidence showing that then-Vice President Joe Biden used multiple email aliases and private email addresses to communicate with his son’s business associate and main financial architect, directly refuting previous public statements the President has made that he had no knowledge of his son’s business dealings.
“Among the pages of new evidence, provided to the Committee and released by a vote of the Committee during today’s markup, was a document with data on 327 emails showing Joe Biden’s correspondence – via email aliases – with a key Hunter Biden business associate.
“54 of the emails were exclusively between Joe Biden and one of Hunter Biden’s business partners, Eric Schwerin, who was in charge of structuring the family’s various shell companies that launder money around the world.”

Weiss’ Top Deputy Subpoenaed Regarding Hunter Biden Investigation, Potential Obstruction by Pres. Biden
House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) has subpoenaed Special Counsel David Weiss’s top deputy in the Justice Department’s criminal probe of Hunter Biden, seeking answers regarding irregularities in the way the investigation was handled and potential obstruction by Biden’s father, President Joe Biden.
On Tuesday, Chairman Jordan subpoenaed Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf to appear before the committee on Dec. 7, explaining his reasons in an accompanying letter:
“The Committee on the Judiciary (the Committee) is conducting oversight of the Executive Branch’s commitment to impartial justice, as well as investigating the veracity of statements made in response to congressional inquiries related to the Department of Justice’s investigation of Hunter Biden.
“The Committee is also investigating whether sufficient grounds exist to draft articles of impeachment against President Biden for consideration by the full House.”
Jordan issued the subpoena because Biden’s Justice Department has repeatedly denied the committee’s request that Wolf voluntarily answer questions, the letter notes.
The letter cites witness testimony and public reporting indicating that, as an assistant U.S. attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware, Wolf was “responsible for many of the decisions to deviate from standard investigative protocol during the Department’s investigation of Hunter Biden,” such as:
- Tipping off Hunter Biden’s defense counsel about a potential search warrant,
- Prohibiting investigators from asking witnesses questions about Hunter Biden’s “dad,” aka “the big guy,”
- Ordering investigators to remove from a search warrant any potential reference to Pres. Joe Biden,
- Prohibiting investigators from following up on evidence of criminal campaign finance violations, and
- Forbidding investigators from interviewing Hunter Biden’s adult children.
The letter also cites allegations that Wolf directly obstructed the investigation of Hunter Biden:
“According to witness testimony, you obstructed the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania from briefing the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware about information from a highly credible confidential human source regarding bribes allegedly paid to President Biden and Hunter Biden.”
Wolf will also be asked questions relating to a potential impeachment of Pres. Biden for abusing his presidential power to protect his son from being prosecuted, the letter says:
“Finally, as part of the impeachment inquiry, the Committee is investigating whether President Biden ‘abuse[d] his power as President to impede, obstruct, or otherwise hinder investigations (including Congressional investigations) or the prosecution of Hunter Biden.’”
The Judiciary Committee’s current investigation is the result of what began as an investigation into a foreign pornography ring, as The Federalist recalls:
“Whistleblowers claimed the Biden Justice Department substantially interfered with the IRS investigation into Hunter, which began as a probe into a foreign pornography ring and quickly morphed into a broader criminal investigation implicating other members of the first family.
“According to two veteran IRS agents, DOJ officials buried allegations of Biden family bribery that had been sent to the Delaware office for investigation, knew Hunter Biden’s laptop was legitimate before helping tech giants suppress the computer’s contents anyway, and slow-walked cooperation with federal tax investigators to protect the president.”
Hunter Biden Used Business Account That Received Chinese Money to Pay Joe Biden, Subpoenaed Bank Records Show
House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) has released subpoenaed bank records showing that President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, used a business entity that received money from Chinese-state linked companies and other foreign nationals and companies to make “monthly payments” to his father.
“Hunter Biden’s business entity, Owasco PC, made direct monthly payments to Joe Biden,” Rep. Comer wrote Monday in a social media post of video, in which he explains the damning nature of the bank records:
“The bank records don't lie. Owasco PC received payments from Chinese-state linked companies & other shady entities. Joe Biden knew & benefitted from his family's business schemes.”
"This wasn’t a payment from Hunter Biden’s personal account but an account for his corporation that received payments from China and other shady corners of the world," Comer says.
"The more we learn, it appears the Justice Department was trying to cover up for the Bidens — until brave IRS whistleblowers came forward and a federal judge rejected the sweetheart plea deal," Comer says, suggesting there’s more news to come implicating the Bidens in wrongdoing:
"Payments from Hunter’s business entity to Joe Biden are now part of a pattern revealing Joe Biden knew about, participated in, and benefited from his family’s influence-peddling schemes."
"Hunter Biden’s legal team and the White House’s media allies claim Hunter’s corporate entities never made payments directly to Joe Biden. We can officially add this latest talking point to the list of lies," Comer says.
Indeed, Pres. Biden has repeatedly insisted that he never spoke to Hunter about his son’s foreign business dealings.
House Republicans used Comer’s announcement as an opportunity to post flashback videos documenting Democrats’ apparently false denials, including:
- Joe Biden claiming in 2020 that "I have not taken a penny from any foreign source ever in my life."
- White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in July claiming "The President was never in business with his son."
- Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) claiming in September that "There is no direct evidence that President Biden was involved in any way, shape, or form in Hunter Biden's business dealings."
“Here is some direct evidence showing that Joe Biden was involved in Hunter Biden's business dealings,” one Republican post says. “Sure seems like Joe Biden and Hunter Biden were in business together,” another adds, posing the question:
“What were they being paid for?”
Report: Archives to Divulge 62K Biden Records to Investigators, Including Alias Emails
The National Archives will reportedly divulge 62,000 requested records to the House impeachment inquiry, including documents pertaining to President Joe Biden’s alias emails.
The trove of records could provide House investigators with additional evidence of Joe Biden’s involvement in the family business. The evidence of Joe Biden’s involvement includes but is not limited to:
- Photos of Joe with Hunter’s business partners
- Joe Biden’s voicemail to Hunter
- Five individuals referencing Joe Biden as the “big guy”
- Two whistleblower testimonies
- FBI FD-1023 form alleging recorded phone calls and texts between Biden and a Burisma executive
- Video of Joe Biden bragging about firing the Ukrainian prosecutor
- Hunter’s statements about giving half his income to his dad
- Joe Biden receiving money from James Biden and Hunter Biden
- Email aliases
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) expects to receive the archived records in the coming days, a source told Fox News on Wednesday.
“The Biden White House still has an ‘F’ in document production to the Oversight Committee,” Comer told Fox.
“Just today, President Biden lied again when confronted with information that he interacted with his family’s business associates,” Comer added. “The White House must comply with all of our requests for records from Joe Biden’s time as vice president and all other committee requests related to the impeachment inquiry.”

White HouseEarlier this year, Comer requested the Archives provide any document or communication regarding Joe Biden’s four aliases: Robert Peters, Robin Ware, JRB Ware, and Auks. He also requested information on communications between Hunter Biden and business associates Eric Schwerin or Devon Archer.
House investigators opened a probe into the Biden family in November 2022. They revealed Joe Biden received money from James Biden and Hunter Biden. They also showed that nine additional Biden family members received payments from the family’s foreign business ventures, including two of the president’s grandchildren.
