Manchin on Border: ‘Democrats Let This Happen’ and Biden Can Declare Emergency
On Friday’s “CNN News Central,” Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) stated that “the Democrats let” the crisis at the border happen and urged President Joe Biden to declare a national emergency on the border if Congress can’t pass legislation to fix the problem.
Manchin said, “It’s the most dangerous thing we have, is the border security right now and a lapse of border security. So, we can fix that. But when you have former President Trump saying, oh, no, we can’t do that, because let’s just go ahead and blame the Democrats. Well, the Democrats let this happen. But it’s time to fix it. So, we can fix this working together. But not to fix it because of politics, it’s not who we are as a country. It’s not what our purpose in Washington is all about.”
He concluded, “The crisis at the border is an absolute, total crisis, and it’s dangerous. And we can fix it. And if not, I would ask the President, please, Mr. President declare a national emergency. Don’t let the politics destroy, basically, the border situation and security that we need at that border, and I would hope he would do that.”

But by later that year and in subsequent years, Soros was fully engaged through multiple entities in funding Indivisible. Soros’s own Open Society Foundations website shows that in 2017 the Tides Advocacy provided $350,000 to Indivisible. In subsequent years, the money came directly from Open Society to Indivisible and increased in dollar amount. In 2018, Soros’s group gave half a million dollars to Indivisible, which increased to $1.75 million in 2019. In 2021, Open Society gave Indivisible two grants totaling $875,000, and in 2022 Soros’s group gave Indivisible another $1.135 million.
Biden hates working people
As our sanctuary-country sinks even further under the weight of millions of illegal immigrants, the President and his fellow Democrats believe the solution is to give them work permits so they can “support themselves.”
Where is their concern for the citizens whose jobs these illegal immigrants will take? Have they never heard of the concept of opportunity cost? Every job they take is a job that won’t be available to legal citizens. That’s not a political philosophy but a cold hard fact.
And this is in an environment where Artificial Intelligence and robots/automation are forecast to slash the number of jobs for average working folks.
What is even worse is the fact that this army of illegal immigrants is certain to depress working folk’s hourly wages for generations to come.
You will often hear it said they are only taking jobs Americans won’t do. That is a lie. The truth is Americans won’t do some of those jobs for the wages being offered. So, rather than allowing the marketplace to raise the wages being offered, their revolting solution is to import millions of low-skilled illegals in a planned strategy to keep working people’s wages low, forever.
And opposition to this obscene strategy has nothing to do with race or ethnicity. Famous civil rights leader Cesar Chavez –- a proud Hispanic -- knew this reality and was thus a strong opponent of illegal immigration. He worked the fields and saw the direct impact illegals had on working wages.
You will often hear how businesses supposedly need these low-wage workers to prosper. Few realize this is one of the arguments the plantation owners of the old South used in their defense of slavery. You might be on the wrong side of an issue when your arguments are in agreement with an economic justification for slavery.
And it’s not just working wages being purposely depressed. This process keeps wages depressed all the way up to at least mid-level white-collar positions.
Open your eyes. The wages of almost every federal and state worker are significantly depressed by these actions. Way to go, Democrats!
Think that isn’t the plan? I have a bridge to sell you.
And what of these working folks’ kids? Their children will be forced to attend K-12 public schools that are inundated with children of these illegal immigrants. I doubt if the privileged children of these politicians will face a similar situation.
So not only does working mom and dad get screwed, this ensures their children are similarly damaged. But it does ensure a large, poorly educated, ready, desperate low-wage workforce for decades to come.
And what about crime? Health and hospital services? Housing? VA services for those who gave their blood for this country? Future Social Security checks? The list of areas negatively impacted is very long indeed.
And poorer citizens will bear the brunt of it all. All while the President and his ilk can pat themselves on the back for their enlightenment and benevolence.
If the citizens truly understood the profound impact this invasion will have on all of us, President Biden and his Democrat cohorts -- and more than a few Republicans -- would be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.
Any poor or working-class person -- and I don’t give a damn about the color of his skin -- is a fool for giving Biden or any Democrat another vote ever again.
Sure, let’s give them all work permits and let the citizens eat cake. Disgusting.

New Migrant Caravan Leaves Southern Mexico Headed North
A new migrant caravan began walking through southern Mexico to make their way north toward the U.S. border, where some have expressed the expectation of crossing illegally and then requesting asylum or protection. Prior caravans disbanded once they reached Mexico City or along the way when government officials gave them certain travel documents and allowed them to get on buses or airplanes.
The new caravan, which is still in its early stages, is made up of approximately 1,800 migrants. The group began moving through the southern state of Chiapas, near the Mexican-Guatemalan border. The group is expected to journey northwest through Chiapas toward the state of Oaxaca. The group began organizing earlier this week and posted signs around the city parks and migrant shelters in Tapachula, Chiapas, announcing a start date of January 25. However, more migrants are expected to join the group in the coming days.
As in prior caravans, migrants have been carrying white wooden crosses and banners with messages claiming that immigration is not illegal and condemning governments that are not open to migrants.
Local government officials set up shelters and rest stops along the way to provide the migrants with food and water, while Mexican authorities have been escorting the migrants to keep them safe.
The new caravan comes at a time when U.S. border cities have been seeing record-setting numbers of migrants arriving and requesting asylum. The record-setting numbers have led to much controversy between the Biden administration and the Texas government.

2024 Campaign: Biden Blames Republicans for His Migration Record
President Joe Biden and his deputies are using the unfinished and unreleased draft border deal as political cover for their continued refusal to guard the nation’s border during the 2024 election campaign.
“What’s been negotiated would – if passed into law – be the toughest and fairest set of reforms to secure the border we’ve ever had in our country,” Biden said in a statement Friday night. “It would give me, as President, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed. And if given that authority, I would use it the day I sign the bill into law.”
Pro-American groups say Biden already has the legal authority to stop migraiton, and that the Senate’s unreleased — and unpopular — deal is a giveaway to business interests.
For example, the “emergency authority” cited by Biden is triggered only when the inflow climbs above 1.8 million per year — or roughly twice Congress’s cap on legal immigration. The deal also sets no significant limits to Biden’s inflow of job-seeking migrants via the “parole” doorway.
GOP leaders scoffed at Biden’s claim that he cannot fix the border without the draft deal — even though President Donald Trump minimized the inflow with his use of the White House’s authorities in 2019:
Trump is expected to oppose the deal once the details are released. “A BAD BORDER DEAL IS FAR WORSE THAN NO BORDER DEAL!” he said Saturday in a post on TruthSocial.
Biden’s release was posted as his border deputies allowed the inflow of 371,000 migrants in December. Their easy-migration policy is hugely damaging to ordinary Americans and hugely unpopular, and Democrats recognize that it is powering public support for Donald Trump’s re-election campaign.
Biden — and his media allies — are pushing the GOP to endorse the deal, partly because it would allow Biden to claim on the campaign trail that he has solved the migration problem.
The deal would also provide Biden’s deputies with at least $10 billion to move, house, feed, and hide migrants during the 2024 campaign. If Biden’s deputies cannot get the cash, the migrants’ plight and poverty will likely be spotlighted by local TV news shows.
Biden knows he does not need the law to block the migration. For example, he has crafted quiet deals with Mexico to streamline, manage, and cap the daily arrivals after the record inflow in December. The deal has sharply reduced migrant arrivals at the border in January compared to December.
The deals with Mexico will help Biden block migrant surges that would break into national TV coverage. Biden is buying Mexican cooperation by allowing more Mexicans to enter and settle in the United States via the legally contested “parole” side door in the border. In December, for example, Biden’s deputies allowed 44,000 Mexican migrants to enter the United States via the border gates.
The deal came after Mexico allowed the December inflow to hit another record of 371,000 migrants, following inflows of roughly 308,000 in October and November.
The three-month inflow of 989,000 migrants is in addition to Biden’s welcome for roughly 6.2 million migrants from January 2021 to October 2023. The 6.2 million population does not include the huge oumber of migrants who entered but were sent home.

The flood has also washed into many small cities, such as Whitewater, Wisconsin, and counties such as Rockland County, New York.
Extraction Migration
Since at least 1990, the federal government has relied on Extraction Migration to grow the economy after allowing investors to move the high-wage manufacturing sector to lower-wage countries.
The migration policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries. The additional workers, consumers, and renters push up stock values by shrinking Americans’ wages, subsidizing low-productivity companies, boosting rents, and spiking real estate prices.
The economic policy has pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors, reduced native-born Americans’ productivity and political clout, reduced high-tech innovation, crippled civic solidarity, and allowed government officials to ignore the rising death rate of poor Americans.
The policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors and government agencies with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.
The colonialism-like policy has also killed many thousands of migrants, including many on the taxpayer-funded jungle trail through the Darien Gap in Panama.

Joe Biden Endorses Senate Deal to Expand Immigration: ‘I Will Sign It’
President Joe Biden has endorsed a Senate deal to massively expand overall immigration to the United States negotiated by Sens. James Lankford (R-OK) and Chris Murphy (D-CT) among others, saying he “will sign it” if it is passed through Congress.
Lankford and Murphy have negotiated a deal to expand legal immigration levels by an additional 50,000 green cards annually, expedite work permits for illegal aliens released into the nation’s interior, provide taxpayer-funded lawyers to Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs), and allow up to 35,000 illegal aliens to arrive at the border every week before imposing border controls, among other things.
Biden announced his endorsement of the deal late Friday evening.
“Securing the border through these negotiations is a win for America. For everyone who is demanding tougher border control, this is the way to do it. If you’re serious about the border crisis, pass a bipartisan bill and I will sign it,” Biden said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has backed away from the deal, and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has told colleagues that the deal is “dead on arrival” in the House.
Former President Donald Trump, the likely Republican presidential nominee, has helped expose the deal’s details to hugely expand overall immigration to the United States — publicly and privately urging Senate Republicans to oppose the effort.
Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC), Mitt Romney (R-UT), John Thune (R-SD), and Todd Young (R-IN) have complained that Trump’s influence has made the deal toxic for other Republicans to sign on to.
Already, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is estimated to have welcomed 6.2 million illegal aliens to the U.S. since late January 2021 thanks to the agency’s expansive Catch and Release network.

Joe Biden’s Parole Pipeline Freed 745K Foreign Nationals into U.S. in 2023 — Exceeding 2 Months of American Births
President Joe Biden’s parole pipeline at the United States–Mexico border released a foreign population into American towns in 2023 that outpaces two months of American births.
This week, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released illegal immigration figures for December 2023. The data shows that more than 745,000 foreign nationals were released into the United States interior through Biden’s parole pipeline in 2023.
This is a foreign population larger than the populations of Nashville, Tennessee; Denver, Colorado; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Washington, DC; or Boston, Massachusetts.
Biden’s parole pipeline, which makes up just a portion of his Catch and Release network at the southern border, includes the migrant mobile app known as “CBP One” and so-called “humanitarian parole.”
From January through December 2023, nearly 420,000 foreign nationals were released into the United States interior through the migrant mobile app. The app allows users in Mexico to schedule appointments at the border to be released into the country.
During the same period, close to 330,000 foreign nationals were released into the United States interior with humanitarian parole.
The release of the figures comes as the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates the volume of foreign nationals arriving through the border under Biden’s Catch and Release network. Since January 2021, the CBO suggests that about 6.2 million foreign nationals have been welcomed to the United States.
Prior estimates stated that Biden’s DHS was releasing about 5,000 foreign nationals into the United States interior every day.
Biden has endorsed a Senate deal to expand overall immigration that would allow the DHS to continue its parole pipeline at the border while expediting work permits to those foreign nationals released into the United States interior.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has reportedly said the deal is “dead on arrival” in the House.

Jim Jordan Subpoenas Xavier Becerra for Details on Criminals, Gang Members Posing as Migrant Children
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has subpoenaed Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra for information on the agency’s handling of criminals and gang members posing as Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) in the hopes of being released into the United States.
On Tuesday, Jordan announced that he subpoenaed Becerra, suggesting that HHS has been less than forthcoming regarding how the agency handles UACs who are discovered to be criminals and gang members.
HHS oversees the UAC program, in which children arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border are briefly taken into Department of Homeland Security (DHS) custody before being transferred to HHS custody, where they are eventually placed with an adult sponsor — the majority of whom are not their biological parents.

House Judiciary GOP/ YouTubeAccording to Jordan, the Judiciary Committee has asked repeatedly since June of last year for all information from HHS regarding where UACs are placed, the vetting process for adult sponsors, and what the agency does when a UAC is found to be a criminal or gang member.
HHS, Jordan alleges, has been unable to disclose the total number of UACs that the agency has placed in the custody of a known sex offender or the number of adult sponsors who have been rejected for being a convicted criminal, including a convicted murderer.
From Fiscal Year 2021 through Fiscal Year 2023, more than 370,000 UACs have been released into the U.S. interior by Biden’s DHS. The majority of UACs, 61 to 66 percent, are males, while 69 percent to 72 percent are 15 to 18-years-old.
As Breitbart News has chronicled, Becerra has been unable to guarantee that 100 percent of adult sponsors’ homes are inspected before a UAC is placed in their care — a requirement for many pet adoption programs, Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) previously noted.

HHS losing contact with these UACs coincides with a boom in labor trafficking among migrant children. The labor trafficking pipeline has gotten so out of hand that the Department of Labor Inspector General has opened an investigation into the Biden administration’s handling of the issue.

The annual death toll from fentanyl poisoning among Americans now equals the annual death toll of American soldiers in World War II. But Biden has made no effort to deter the Chinese from poisoning Americans citizens by, for example, ending the subsidies we provide to their economy or revoking China’s Most Favored Nation trade status, or closing all the Confucius Institutes in our universities set up to steal our technologies. In another era, Joe Biden would have been run out of his country much the same way Benedict Arnold was two and a half centuries ago; in an era when integrity, honor, fortitude, fidelity, and grit have been jettisoned for immorality, unscrupulousness, weakness, betrayal, and craven pliability, however, he is elevated to king sleazeball in a city drowning in sleaze. A word about the elections down Mexico way
Mexicans elect a new president every six years. So it occasionally happens that the U.S. and Mexico have elections on the same year. Such is 2024, when voters in both countries will get to choose a new president and Congress.
Former U.S. ambassador to Mexico Earl Anthony Wayne has expressed some concerns about democracy south of the border. This is what he wrote:
AMLO has been very critical of the Supreme Court and other autonomous institutions that were created over the years as Mexico was building its democracy. However, AMLO has not had the two-thirds majority in both houses of Congress needed to approve the constitutional reforms he would like to see. His attempted reforms have sparked very large counter demonstrations and been rebuffed by Mexico’s courts, but he has persisted in his calls for constitutional change.
During AMLO’s six-year tenure, the independent global indexes on democracy and related issues, including corruption and rule of law, have reported deterioration and backsliding in the quality of Mexico’s democracy. The 2023 World Justice Project’s Rule of Law Index, for example, tracks a decline in Mexico’s rule of law score during AMLO’s term and currently ranks Mexico at 116 out of the 142 countries measured. Thus, the outcome of the Mexico’s elections could be very important for the strength of Mexico’s democratic institutions.
Not surprisingly, many in Mexico see the 2024 elections as a test for maintaining the strength of its democracy – echoing themes being heard in the U.S. election campaign.
Interesting. I learned this week that Mexicans are planning a huge march nationwide to protect their democracy from what they see as AMLO's overreach.
At the moment, AMLO’s candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, looks like an easy winner in the upcoming election. She is leading against opposition candidate, Senator Xóchitl Gálvez, by a strong margin. One of these two ladies will be the next president of Mexico and it looks like it will be Claudia.
The real threat to democracy is that AMLO doesn't go away. I am not saying that he stays as president but rather does not leave the stage. His candidate Sheinbaum looks more and more like a puppet of AMLO. She is a well-educated woman but does not have the personality to match AMLO's political skills.
At some point, likely President Sheinbaum may have to lock AMLO in the closet and prove to Mexicans that she is in charge. It will be tough.

Jim Jordan Subpoenas Xavier Becerra for Details on Criminals, Gang Members Posing as Migrant Children
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has subpoenaed Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra for information on the agency’s handling of criminals and gang members posing as Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) in the hopes of being released into the United States.
On Tuesday, Jordan announced that he subpoenaed Becerra, suggesting that HHS has been less than forthcoming regarding how the agency handles UACs who are discovered to be criminals and gang members.
HHS oversees the UAC program, in which children arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border are briefly taken into Department of Homeland Security (DHS) custody before being transferred to HHS custody, where they are eventually placed with an adult sponsor — the majority of whom are not their biological parents.

House Judiciary GOP/ YouTubeAccording to Jordan, the Judiciary Committee has asked repeatedly since June of last year for all information from HHS regarding where UACs are placed, the vetting process for adult sponsors, and what the agency does when a UAC is found to be a criminal or gang member.
HHS, Jordan alleges, has been unable to disclose the total number of UACs that the agency has placed in the custody of a known sex offender or the number of adult sponsors who have been rejected for being a convicted criminal, including a convicted murderer.
From Fiscal Year 2021 through Fiscal Year 2023, more than 370,000 UACs have been released into the U.S. interior by Biden’s DHS. The majority of UACs, 61 to 66 percent, are males, while 69 percent to 72 percent are 15 to 18-years-old.
As Breitbart News has chronicled, Becerra has been unable to guarantee that 100 percent of adult sponsors’ homes are inspected before a UAC is placed in their care — a requirement for many pet adoption programs, Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) previously noted.

@energyandcommerce / YouTubeLast year, the New York Times released a bombshell report suggesting that more than 85,000 UACs released into the U.S. interior had been lost in the system after being sent to live with adult sponsors — most of whom were not their biological parents — by HHS.
HHS losing contact with these UACs coincides with a boom in labor trafficking among migrant children. The labor trafficking pipeline has gotten so out of hand that the Department of Labor Inspector General has opened an investigation into the Biden administration’s handling of the issue.

Liberal California Emigrants are Toxic
When Arizona, a state that has historically leaned conservative, was won by Joe Biden and now-senator Mark Kelly this week, very few were taken by surprise. Extensive polling indicated Arizona was ripe for swinging liberal and in this instance, at least, the polling was correct.
The question is why? Why has a state that held two elected Republican senators as recently as 2018 and which held a dependable stable of electoral votes for GOP presidential candidates become a purple state on its way to becoming solidly blue? Have Arizona residents suddenly awaked to the idea that liberal policies and doctrines are more sensible than conservative ones? Hardly.
The answer regarding Arizona’s swing lies in its neighbor to the west, California. Since 2012, California has overwhelmingly sent more transplants to Arizona than any other state. When surveyed, escaping Californians cite high taxes, high crime rates, unaffordable housing, out-of-control homelessness, and high unemployment rates as their top reasons for fleeing.
Who is responsible for creating such an alarming living environment within the state? California liberals. A November, 2020 report produced by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University stated that California has 395,608 regulatory restrictions. The sheer volume and scope of California regulations creates such a compliance nightmare that they kill entire industries, send housing prices to unattainable heights, and restrict even commonplace liberties for which conservative leaning states are known.
Piled onto California’s endless river of regulations are its nonsensical laws and policies. Twenty major metropolitan cities or counties in California have established laws, ordinances, regulations, or other practices that shield illegal immigrants from prosecution after committing a crime. These counties brazenly safeguard illegal immigrant criminals against deportation either through noncompliance or by refusing to hand them over to federal agencies such as ICE. With over $1.5 trillion in state and local government debt, California effectively has little money to spare for conveniences such as criminal incarceration. What do sanctuary cities and counties see as the alternative to handing illegal immigrant criminals over for deportation? Release them back into the general population, of course.
Consider this: Between 2014 and 2017, the FBI reported that 49 states saw an average increase in crime annually of around 3%. After implementing “humane” alternatives to criminal prosecution, California crime increased more than 12% per year over the same time period. With irrational sanctuary policies that send a clear message of little to no consequence for offenses, is it any wonder California’s crime rate is now spiraling out of control?
Arizona is not the only beneficiary of the California exodus. The Colorado State Demography Office has published an active flow map of people moving into the state from 2010 on. Disturbingly, the state sending the most movers to Colorado since then has consistently been California. As recently as 2004, Colorado had the political trifecta of a Republican governor and a Republican-controlled House and Senate. A short ten years later, all three had turned irrevocably Democrat. The subsequent consequence? A drastic increase in state and local regulations, a dramatic increase in violent crimes, a severe shortage of home 
inventory and affordable housing, and a staggering increase in homelessness. Do these newfound troubles sound familiar to any other state mentioned here? The only safeguard against out-of-control tax hikes in Colorado is the TABOR Amendment passed by voters 1992, prior to the influx of California residents, that requires taxpayer approval for any new tax. Not surprisingly, emboldened liberals in Colorado are vigorously resolute in repealing this tax hike protection. As of the most recent election they are unsuccessful, yet remain undeterred.
What has coincided with Colorado’s decline? The mass inflow of Californians to the state. Californians have brought with them all the very same liberal doctrines and ideologies that forced their flight from California in the first place. Does this dissuade liberal Californians from shaping Colorado into the very image of California? Not in the least.
If there is any hope for Arizona, it is that they might learn from the resulting ruin of Colorado, however unlikely.
In the 2020 election, Texas was startlingly considered in play for liberals. Since 2015, which state has contributed the most emigrants into Texas? Not surprisingly, the state of California. The hope for liberals is that they can turn Texas into the next purple soon-to-be blue state. The coveted prize is Texas’ electoral votes. Even more insidious, if liberals are able to capture Texas as they have done in Colorado and Arizona, they will force the state to join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. They will then achieve their ultimate goal of a Democrat president reigning over the United States for endless generations until the point our country experiences the same collapse as other great civilizations throughout world history.
The obvious question is this: How can Texas avoid the same fate as states such as Colorado and Arizona? Simple. By being proactive.
It is much easier for liberals to enact new legislation than to argue for the removal of existing laws. With this in mind, Texas should take advantage of their current Republican-controlled Senate, House, and governor’s office by making haste and passing laws that would limit the future incursion of liberal meddling. Texas can presently enact laws that prohibit sanctuary cities, require voter approval to remove the state’s mandated balanced budget, require that any new regulation must necessitate the removal of an existing one, and compel voter approval of each new local or state tax including non-user fees. While such laws may only serve to stem the liberal takeover of the state, they would be roadblocks making it much more difficult for ideological infiltration in areas that affect inhabitant’s liberties and quality of life.
It would be absurd to suppose Californians have malintent. Rather, they are simply following the course with which they are most familiar while being blissfully ignorant of the negative unintended consequences their political ideology brings. To suggest that any act of suppression, aggression, or intimidation towards Californians moving into red states is acceptable would simply be un-American and subject to the same type of hypocrisy liberals practice. If conservatives stoop to their level, we have lost the battle and, perhaps, the war.
However, by taking aggressive legislative action in states that have not yet succumbed to liberal infiltration, Conservatives will effectively be planting our flag in a defiant refusal to hand over our institutions and our liberty.
