Via John Hinderaker of Power Line, Andy McCarthy at National Review has a stunning piece outlining the depths of Joe Biden's involvement as China's little agent, tying together details which will make you wanting to take a shower afterward.
But it is different, with millions of dollars changing hands and U.S. influence waning significantly. If this isn't dealt with in Congress, the stage will be set for any elected leader to do the same. Now that the facts are known, Andy McCarthy argues, that Joe cannot escape his China scandal paper trail at the very least. One hopes that he is right because the bribery and treason here couldn't be more real.

My colleague Peter Schweizer’s runaway bestseller, Red Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win, first revealed that the Biden family received some $31 million from the highest levels of Chinese intelligence at the same time Hunter was paying the vice president’s bills. Schweizer believes that there is a slam dunk case to indict Hunter Biden.

THE BIDEN KLEPTOCRACY
American people deserve to know what China was up to with Joe Biden, especially when Beijing had already shelled out millions of dollars to Biden family members — including millions in set-asides for “the big guy.” What else is on that infamous Hunter Biden laptop? The conflicted Biden Justice Department cannot be trusted to engage in any meaningful oversight on this issue. We need a special counsel now.

Biden Trade Nominee Faces Headwinds Over Consulting for China and 'Putin's Pipeline'
President Joe Biden's pick for a top international trade post is the cofounder of a Beltway consulting firm that took millions from the companies behind "Putin's pipeline" and helped find investment opportunities for Chinese tycoons.
Biden last week nominated his former Senate aide, Nelson Cunningham, to serve as deputy trade representative, a post that handles international trade policy and foreign disputes. Cunningham is the cofounder of McLarty Associates, a "private sector diplomacy" firm that counsels international companies on trade issues.
Some of McLarty's clients put Cunningham at odds with the Biden administration.
In 2018, Cunningham advised Chinese executives on how to take advantage of U.S. tax incentives to invest in the United States. According to federal lobbying disclosures, a group of European companies behind the Nord Stream 2 pipeline paid more than $4 million to McLarty's lobbying arm, McLarty Inbound. Glencore International, a scandal-plagued commodities firm, paid $1 million to McLarty Inbound to lobby the Office of the United States Trade Representative, where Cunningham may ultimately work, amid allegations of corruption.
Biden, along with many Republicans, opposed Nord Stream 2 on the grounds that it gave Russian dictator Vladimir Putin control of Europe's energy sources. And the Biden Justice Department last year charged Glencore in a "long-running bribery and price manipulation" scheme in Africa and South America, a case that the company settled for $1.1 billion.
Cunningham, who retired from McLarty Associates in August, was not registered as a lobbyist for those companies, though McLarty Associates' website says that senior members of the firm "are deeply involved in all our clients' strategies on a daily basis."
Cunningham's dovish position on China—and his firm's controversial client roster—have turned off a Republican who could block his confirmation.
"Cunningham has repeatedly cozied up to Communist China and has close connections with the Russia-backed Nord Stream 2 pipeline," Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R., Tenn.) told the Washington Free Beacon. "This raises the question of how many New Axis of Evil countries he has worked with and if he meets the requirements laid out for the position."
Blackburn—a member of the Senate Finance Committee, which will hold Cunningham's confirmation hearing—says Cunningham "is extremely unqualified to serve in the position."
It's not the first time a Biden appointee's consulting work has posed conflict of interest concerns. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki faced scrutiny over their work at WestExec Advisers, a consulting firm that, like McLarty Associates, represents multinational companies.
Biden's relationship with Cunningham stretches back 30 years, beginning when Cunningham served as Biden's general counsel at the Senate Judiciary Committee. Cunningham, who has donated more than $125,000 to the DNC, hosted a campaign event for Biden in 2019. He was on Biden's short list to lead the Office of the United States Trade Representative, a job that ultimately went to Katherine Tai.
Even Democratic senator Sherrod Brown (Ohio) says he is "deeply skeptical" of Cunningham's work for multinational corporations and support for trade policies that have "failed American workers and devastated communities across my state." That's an apparent reference to Cunningham's Clinton administration role in developing the North American Free Trade Agreement. McLarty Associates' website referred to Cunningham as one of the "key architects" of the agreement. Biden, who voted for NAFTA, has since expressed regret over the deal.
In 2012, as a "trade policy surrogate" for the Obama-Biden campaign, Cunningham said it was "irresponsible" for then-Republican candidate Mitt Romney to call on China to "play by the rules" of international trade. Cunningham pitched the Chinese executives on "significant areas of opportunity" for investment in U.S. companies, according to a slide of his presentation posted on a McLarty Associates social media page.
Cunningham has maintained access to Chinese government officials. He discussed foreign investment with Chinese leaders in 2019, writing that "at a time of heightened trade tensions, [it is] important to keep dialog alive."
While McLarty Associates does not list any of its Chinese clients on its website, McLarty Inbound has lobbied for Fuyao Glass, a Chinese auto glass maker. The company hired McLarty Inbound shortly after the release of the documentary American Factory, which revealed the company's allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party and its aggressive union-busting tactics. Fuyao paid $385,000 to McLarty to lobby on "regulatory issues" and U.S.-China trade relations, according to lobbying disclosures.
Cunningham and McLarty Associates did not respond to requests for comment and additional information about the firm's clients.
The paid agent behind the Oval Office desk
Via John Hinderaker of Power Line, Andy McCarthy at National Review has a stunning piece outlining the depths of Joe Biden's involvement as China's little agent, tying together details which will make you wanting to take a shower afterward.
He writes:
Thanks to the extensive excavation of Biden financial records by Senators Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) and Ron Johnson (R., Wis.), followed by the dogged reporting of the New York Post once Hunter’s abandoned laptop was exposed, the outlines of the story were publicly available before Election Day 2020. The Biden/China scheme may not have been sufficiently known, but it was eminently knowable — so much so that I presented it in detail in “A Collusion Tale: China and the Bidens,” which we published on October 31, 2020 — the weekend before the election.
The story has gotten more damning with the additional evidence unearthed by the Oversight Committee under the direction of Chairman James Comer (R., Ky.). But it hasn’t changed.
CEFC, the Shanghai-based energy conglomerate with which Joe Biden and his family joined forces, was China. To describe it as a “thinly veiled” arm of Xi Jinping’s monstrous regime would exaggerate the camouflage. It was run by Ye Jianming, whom the Bidens deemed a protégé of Xi — as the president’s brother, Jim Biden, conceded to federal investigators.
How could it be otherwise? As I recounted in October 2020, CEFC’s position as a privileged “private” company was established by the regime in 2006 (when Xi was the rising star of the CCP).
The fake Chinese front company disappeared from view along with its agents, as soon as its activities got brazen enough for lawmen to start examining them -- in an instant. But the Bidens had already gotten their money, and performed their services, and it was a lot of money -- big $10,000,000 amounts. The Chinese not only used the Bidens to find out little things like what the FBI had on their agents, they also used it to muscle other countries to jump onboard with their One Belt, One Road initiative and other projects, letting them know that they already had the Bidens in their pocket so there was no protection out there for them:
This, of course, is why the Biden connection was so valuable — why CEFC was willing to pay millions of dollars for it. Doors were opened by the association with Joe Biden, one of America’s most prominent, influential politicians. If CEFC could brandish cordial relations and a business partnership with the Biden family, then other targets of China’s OBOR blandishments would be more willing to transact.
China is famous for getting the hooks in in a string of third world nations, all of which have become remarkably uncooperative with the U.S., and not even interested in making alliances with it any more. We've lost influence as joining in the China-led BRICS bloc has become the hot new thing.
Does it sound like Joe Biden has undermined our international interests with his takings from the Chinese regime, all to buy those mansions and fancy cars? Somehow, the U.S. doesn't have the influence it used to have internationally, and it's not just because of President Obama's constant apology tours. It was having Joe on their string that pretty well negated the U.S. as a global player. It also doesn't help that with Joe around, we also lose wars and sport wokester troops on hormone treatments, wearing makeup and dresses.
I'd still like to know what Hunter Biden did with that diamond the Chinese agents presented him with, likely to avoid bank monitoring laws.
Acting as an agent of a foreign regime while in public office is treason by anyone's definition. It's also an impeachable offense, as is bribery, according to the Constitution's Article II, Section 4:
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
Where's the impeachment of this one, given the clarity of the charges?
Previous House Speaker Kevin McCarthy hemmed and hawed on it, believing perhaps that because past presidential impeachments have been on trivial matters and have always failed, this one wouldn't be any different.

Zelensky Headlines at Davos, Campaigning to Keep Ukraine War on Front Pages
DAVOS, Switzerland (AP) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is headlining a frenzied first full day of the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in the Swiss ski resort of Davos, where top officials from the United States, the European Union, China, the Middle East and beyond also will be prominent Tuesday.
Zelenskyy will endeavor to keep his country’s long and largely stalemated defense against Russia on the minds of political leaders, just as Israel’s war with Hamas, which passed the 100-day mark this week, has siphoned off much of the world’s attention and sparked concerns about a wider conflict in the Middle East.
Tuesday’s activities got rolling with a dizzying array of subjects in rooms at the Davos conference center, where discussions tackled issues as diverse as innovation in Europe, the economic impact of generative AI, corporate support for clean technologies and high interest rates.
Conversations with the prime ministers of Qatar and Jordan will bookend the day’s most visible events, with speeches by Chinese Premier Li Qiang, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan in between. Sullivan, asked by The Associated Press whether he would meet with China’s delegation at Davos as he headed into talks with Zelenskyy and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, said he wasn’t.
Qatar’s prime minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, said the world concentrating on the attacks on ships in the Red Sea by Yemen´s Houthi rebels – which have spurred retaliatory strikes by the U.S. and Britain – was “focusing on the symptoms and not treating the real issue” of Israel´s war on Hamas.
“We should focus on the main conflict in Gaza. And as soon as it´s defused, I believe everything else will be defused,” he said, adding that a two-state solution was required to end the conflict.
Sheikh Mohammed also warned a military confrontation “will not contain” the Houthi attacks.
“I think that what we have right now in the region is a recipe of escalation everywhere,” he added.
Zelenskyy, once reticent about leaving his war-torn country, has recently gone on a whirlwind tour to try to rally support for Ukraine’s cause against Russia amid donor fatigue in the West and concerns that former U.S. President Donald Trump – who touted having good relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin – might return to the White House next year following his commanding win Monday in the Iowa caucuses.
It is Zelenskyy’s first trip to Davos as president after speaking by video in previous years, and he’s drawn the attention of media and others trying to grab a word from him – while he’s surrounded by a large contingent of security.
He hopes to parlay the high visibility of the event into a bully pulpit to showcase Ukraine´s pressing needs, and allies will be lining up: Corporate chiefs and officials like von der Leyen learned what support was needed to help Ukraine rebuild at an invitation-only “CEOs for Ukraine” session.
“It´s time for us, for Ukrainian companies, for international companies to rebuild (the) Ukrainian economy,” Maxim Timchenko, CEO of Ukrainian energy company DTEK said after the session. “To rely on ourselves. To build a future for Ukraine.”
He said it was “very important” for both Ukrainian companies and international businesses to hear Zelenskyy say that the government would “do everything possible with reforms, change in our country, creating conditions so that businesses will come and invest.”
A day earlier, Zelenskyy made a stop in Switzerland´s capital, Bern, where President Viola Amherd pledged her country would start working with Ukraine to help organize a “peace summit” for Ukraine.
The theme of the meeting in Davos is “rebuilding trust,” and it comes as that sentiment has been fraying globally: Wars in the Middle East and Europe have increasingly split the world into different camps.
While the geopolitical situation has oozed gloom, businesses appear more hopeful – in part from prospects that artificial intelligence can help boost productivity. Leading Western stock indexes shot up in 2023, and falling inflation raised hopes of a decline in interest rates.
AI is a major topic over the week in Davos, with a key talk by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella – whose company has invested billions in ChatGPT maker OpenAI – among the sessions planned Tuesday.
Farage: Ukraine War Never Would Have Happened Under Trump, Dangerous World Needs Him Back
Brexit leader Nigel Farage claimed that Vladimir Putin’s Russia never would have invaded Ukraine under the watch of Donald Trump and that the increasingly dangerous world needs him back at the helm in the White House.
Speaking ahead of the Iowa caucus, which saw Donald Trump trounce the competition in a landslide victory in which he secured votes than all other candidates combined, Nigel Farage said that the American people are not alone in wanting the former president back, but that the world would benefit from his return.
“I think the issue of the border, the result of crime problems that you’re seeing in American cities – Chicago is in a terrible, terrible state – I think people look at Trump and say, ‘you know what? This is a tough guy who will actually stand up and fight against that stuff’,” Mr Farage told Sky News.
“Since he’s gone, the world is now a much more dangerous place than it was before. So I think all these factors are playing for him,” Farage continued, adding that Trump “had a very successful foreign policy when he was president.”
“There is this sort of argument in Europe that he will blow up NATO… I don’t believe any of that for a moment,” he said.
“What he wanted was for NATO members to pay their fair share. I don’t believe that Putin would have invaded Ukraine had Trump been in the White House.”
Mr Farage is not alone in his assessment that Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if Donald Trump were in the White House, with a poll conducted shortly after the invasion finding that 62 per cent of Americans believe that the war never would have happened under Trump, with a further 59 per cent citing President Joe Biden’s weakness as a top factor for the war beginning.
During his victory speech in Iowa on Monday evening, Mr Trump also claimed that the invasion would not have happened under his leadership, telling a crowd of supporters in Des Moines: “We want peace through strength. Russia would have never attacked Ukraine, would have never done it.”
“Now you have all that death, far greater than people understand, the numbers are far far greater than anybody would even think possible. You’re going to find that
out in the years to come… when they knock down these massive buildings in Ukraine and then you see uh they announced two people were slightly wounded no no many
people were killed many people were killed.
“We’re going to get it stopped but it’s so sad because it should have never started, people killed and a culture destroyed. You can never replace thousand-year-old buildings with the most beautiful golden domes and churches and everything just all rubble now. It’s so sad.”
Mr Trump went on to reiterate his promise to swiftly negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine, saying; “I know President Putin very well, I know Zelensky very well. I’m going to get him in we’re going to get it solved very quickly.”
In contrast, President Biden has made little effort to demand peace talks and has instead continued to lobby for another $64 billion in American taxpayer dollars to be sent to Kyiv to support Ukraine’s war effort, on top of the $113 billion already committed.
