We have seen the changes in the FBI from an informational resource for the Justice Department to an agency that has usurped the constitutional freedoms afforded us, in the name of political protection of a narrative that supports hubris and power.
Trump Lawyer: ‘Extremely Improper’ that Judge in Trump Criminal Case Is a Biden Donor
The judge overseeing former President Donald Trump’s New York criminal case, New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, is a Biden donor, Trump lawyer Jesse Binnall said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily.
Discussing the case involving Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who charged Trump with 34 felonies, accusing him of falsifying business records in relation to a “hush money” payment made to Stormy Daniels, Binnall reminded listeners that the entire case “is based on the word of Michael Cohen,” an “admitted perjurer.”

“That’s the kind of the best they have. That’s what they’re building their case around is someone who … has lied to courts and factually, this case is just absolutely baseless,” he said, reminding listeners that Judge Merchan is a Biden donor.
“Let’s remember that Judge Merchan is a Biden donor. Let’s remember that his family has a vested financial interest in this case, or … the fact that the case is ongoing. They’re going to try to drag this case out I think as long as possible in order to affect the presidential election,” Binnall said.

Indeed, Judge Merchan made three donations to Democrats in 2020, opening the door for an ethics investigation.
When asked how a judge can be a donor and how that can even be allowed, Binnall said it is not.
“There are very specific instances when judges are supposed to take themselves off cases,” he explained, noting that this is “most important” when there was either bias by the judge or the appearance of bias against a criminal defendant.

“And that person is entitled to a blank slate before the trial starts. And judge who can’t do that, the judge who comes into it with a preconceived notion about a defendant should recuse himself from the case,” he said, noting that this is a “remarkable” instance “where a judge donated to the candidate’s political opponent.”

“I’ve never known a judge before who’s made a political donation while he’s been on the bench. It is highly unusual for judges even to make political donations. But the fact that he did make a political donation, showing where his political allegiances lie, and then staying on a case that is having a huge impact on a presidential election is extremely improper,” he said.
“Not just because it shows that he’s biased, it shows his appearance of partiality, and we in this country have lived for about 250 years under the rule of law. These decisions are made based on law, not men, not based on individual people’s political beliefs as far as in our legal system, and that’s something that is going to be thrown completely into doubt now, because you have a judge who has decided that he wants to be on this case so badly … that he refused to recuse himself,” he continued, noting that it is good for the judge that the case is “ongoing” due to his daughter, as “the company that she worked for has raised millions and millions of dollars on” it.
“And so it’s something that his family member as a direct … moneyed interest in, and again, something that is, at the very least shows the appearance of impropriety here,” Binnall added.
“He’s putting our entire judicial system really into jeopardy by his failure to simply obey the canons of judicial conduct,” Binnall concluded.

Trump Lawyer: Prosecution Seeks to ‘Stack the Deck Against’ Trump in Jury Selection
The prosecution in former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial — at the hands of Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg — is attempting to “stack the deck” against Trump in the jury selection, “trying to find out if you have ever been involved in supporting President Trump at all over the years” but failing to ask the same questions about supporting President Joe Biden, Trump lawyer Jesse Binnall said during an interview on Breitbart News Daily.
Binnall, a Trump lawyer involved in the former president’s civil case and January 6 case, discussed the current criminal trial, as Bragg has charged Trump with 34 felonies, accusing him of falsifying business records.
Jury selection is different in every jurisdiction and in every case, Binnall said, explaining that in this case, they are “basing much of jury selection on these questionnaires that they’ve sent,” which “are very much in favor of the prosecution.”
“So for instance, these questionnaires ask a whole bunch of questions that are meant to weed out Trump supporters, but apparently they don’t have many questions that actually focus on who might be biased against President Trump,” he explained.
He provided examples, noting that the questionnaire asked if the respondents have ever attended a Trump rally or volunteered for Trump’s campaign. It does not end there, either.
“What media organizations do you get your news from, and, you know, looking for people who might be listening to talk radio, you know, watching cable news shows that might be seen as favoring President Trump, etc., etc. And they focused a lot of questions trying to find out if you have ever been involved in supporting President Trump at all over the years,” he said. “They don’t ask any questions if you’ve been involved in supporting President Biden, if you might have political bias and biases that show that you might want to convict President Trump in order to affect the presidential election as a juror.”

“As you’ve said, when you’re in a jurisdiction that was 85-15 Biden in 2020, that would be something that would be extremely important, and they just kind of whistle past the graveyard on that. So these jury questionnaires are — are very, very one-sided,” the Trump lawyer added, describing this as a “very large concern here.”
Further, he said Bragg’s office and Judge Merchan are “not likely to step them back on this.” But Binnall stressed that if there are just one or two jurors who actually give President Trump a fair trial, “then he’s going to be acquitted. .. And so they’re terrified of that.”
“And so they want to do everything they can at this point to stack the deck against President Trump,” he added.

‘Democrats and Intelligence Community Colluding with Media’ to Lie About Biden Probe: Comer Responds to AOC-Colbert Slur
“We’ve proven the government was involved in a massive cover-up” involving the Justice Department (DOJ), its Intelligence operatives, partisan mainstream media and Democrats, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) said Tuesday.
In an interview with “Fox & Friends First,” Rep. Comer responded to false smears made Monday night by Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and liberal activist CBS ‘Late Night’ Host Stephen Colbert regarding the committee’s Republican-led probe of the Biden family’s multi-million-dollar windfall obtained through dubious, unexplained dealings with foreign nationals in hostile countries.
In her appearance on “Late Night,” Ocasio-Cortez smeared Comer’s probe by attempting to tie it to Democrats’ discredited Russian Collusion claims:
“You have the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Representative Comer, take – take, quote-unquote ‘evidence’ – an account from someone who was working with the Russian intelligence and try to impeach and remove the president of the United States over it. This is serious.”
“How did they not know, or did they know, that this is connected to the Russians?” Colbert agreed, claiming that Republicans were using Russian disinformation.
After explaining that FBI Director Christopher Wray testified that the informant was one of the FBI’s most trusted and highest paid informants who served the Bureau for over ten years, Chairman Comer called out the coordinated efforts of “the corrupt mainstream media,” the Intelligence Community and Democrats to dishonestly attempt to discredit the influence-peddling allegations against the Bidens:
“It was one part that we investigated – but, the Democrats and the Intelligence Community are colluding with the media to try to say that that was a key part of the investigation and, therefore, the investigation needs to end.”

“Every fact that we have presented to the American people in a transparent manner the DOJ has colluded with the corrupt mainstream media to try to create a false narrative that there’s disinformation, that there’s no evidence, and it’s Russian collusion when, in fact, none of those things are true.”
Comer described how the media have crafted a false narrative to protect the Bidens from allegations of a multi-million-dollar influence-peddling scheme:
“At the beginning of this investigation, the media narrative was the Bidens had a legitimate business, they never took any money while Joe Biden was vice president, they never took any money from China, and Joe Biden never met with any of these crooks that were sending the Bidens millions and millions of dollars.”
“We’ve proven all of that to be false,” Comer said, presenting a point-by-point repudiation of the media’s false narrative:
“We’ve done it with subpoenaed bank records, where they can’t say there’s no evidence when we have their bank statements:
“The bank statements show the Bidens took the money.
“The emails show the involvement of Joe Biden in the family schemes.
“Three Biden associates have testified, under oath, that Joe Biden was the closer of these influence-peddling schemes.”
“So, I think this has been a very successful investigation. And, we’re trying now to do what I consider the accountability phase of this,” Comer concluded:
“We’ve proven the crimes.
“We’ve proven the government was involved in a massive cover-up.
“Now it’s time to hold them accountable.”
FBI: Decline and Fall
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has reached a stage in its development where it stands as an open threat to the constitutional protections of American citizens. What began as a little-known bureau of the U.S. Department of Justice in 1908 functioned as the department’s detective wing, investigating violations of federal law. Its primary focus was to compile, record, file, and obtain information that could be used in the prosecution of crimes against the government. It has now evolved into an agency that functions as a political tool for the power elites to threaten and intimidate any person, group, or domestic entity that could be perceived as an enemy or opponent to the elite political agenda.
J. Edgar Hoover became the head of the “Radical Division,” which directed its attention to aliens on American soil who could be classified as promoting anarchy or revolution. Records kept of German aliens in the U.S. leading up to and during WW I were extensive. The bureau was considered to be more of a compiler of information rather than an investigative law-enforcement entity. It did not have any legal prosecutorial powers or surveillance abilities against American citizens who had not committed a federal crime. The information gathered by the FBI was to be used by the Justice Department against alien-born anarchists.
As the years passed, the role of the FBI increased significantly. By the late 1930s, with WW II underway in Europe, President Roosevelt expanded the powers of the FBI. In 1939 Roosevelt issued a secret directive authorizing the FBI to take charge of all home-front investigations involving espionage and sabotage in anticipation of the coming war. Once the Japanese attacked the U.S. in 1941, Hoover already had files on thousands of Japanese and Germans in the country as possible antagonists. Roosevelt’s decision to inter all Japanese people regardless of citizenship was opposed by Hoover, who was against interring American citizens. The FBI had been given the power to arrest and to control the interment camps as well.
At the end of WW II, the FBI’s focus was on the communist “Red Scare,” which equated to espionage being conducted by the Soviet Union in America. Hoover began an “under-the-radar” program code-named Venona. Working with the Army Security Agency (now the NSA), they were able to decrypt encoded Soviet messages being sent to Americans. The consensus was that these were either Soviet plants or Communist sympathizers. The information or its source could not be used in any legal proceedings because it was unconstitutional. Yet the information was gathered and filed away to be used at some point as an effective intimidation tool. Although Venona was effective in leading to the eventual prosecution of the Rosenbergs, Hiss, and other Soviet agents, its existence was never revealed until the 1990s, after Hoover’s passing.
With the fear of communist infiltration still going strong well into the 1950s, President Eisenhower gave Hoover a blank check to do whatever was necessary to combat the Red menace. Hoover began COINTELPRO, or the Counterintelligence program. The strategy was to no longer just to prosecute communist party members or haul them up in front of congressional committees, but to manipulate, misinform 
and disrupt the party in secret. They would attack party members with misinformation and create distrust among members in an attempt to discredit the organization as a whole. They would print false propaganda and create false headlines all with the purpose of disrupting the structure of the communist party in America. Part of COINTELPRO was known as Operation Solo. This was a successful coup for Hoover. Two Communist Party officials, Jack and Morris Childs, had become disaffected with the party. The FBI persuaded them to remain party members while acting as agents. They rose through party ranks, with Morris eventually becoming the main liaison between the CPUSA and the Kremlin. Information on party objectives, the spy network, and even Soviet policy was obtained by the FBI.
As successful as the results were in this case, COINTELPRO was eventually used as an effective yet illegal tool against other groups and individuals. In the 1960s there was considerable concern about the civil rights movement. With unsubstantiated intel that Dr. Martin Luther King was employing at a high level in his organization two communist party members, the FBI decided to not only wiretap the suspected communists, but to wiretap Dr. King as well, even though they had no evidence that Dr. King was a communist. One can only guess as to how many were surveilled since then.
The FBI of today has taken an unprecedented leap towards an autocratic police force. Its reputation as a nonpartisan, ethical protector of the Constitution has been reduced to that of partisan, unethical detractor of the Constitution. We can no longer expect that all federal crimes will be investigated and prosecuted. We no longer expect that justice is blind but that the FBI uses blinders when investigating certain people. The FBI of today is investigating and intimidating parents of schoolchildren and knocking on the doors of those who post opinions on social media. The FBI of today is stonewalling and obfuscating congressional requests and hearings. The FBI is compiling information on anyone who objects to the Democratic Party’s narrative and manipulating through intimidation organizations that don’t support it. Forcing tech providers to remove posts that are pro-Trump or anti-vaccine or anything that offends the current administration is not, and never should be, a function of our federal law enforcement agency.
We have seen the changes in the FBI from an informational resource for the Justice Department to an agency that has usurped the constitutional freedoms afforded us, in the name of political protection of a narrative that supports hubris and power. One can only wonder what other schemes, plans, and subversive actions are now occurring that we do not know about. The bureaucracy will continue to prevail until the people take charge of the government.
