Plenty of people think Joe Biden's open borders is mainly about millions of illegals rolling into the U.S., while the billions rolling into Mexico's notorious crime cartels as a result is Mexico's problem, not ours.
But that's not quite what's going on.
Mexico's cartels have grown so big and so powerful from migrant and drug smuggling that they not only threaten Mexico, they are now taking their internecine warfare on the road into the U.S., which now faces a Tijuana-like future. If you recall the sight of all those Tijuana cars burning as that city shut down from cartel warfare, obviously it can happen here, too.
In a little-noted San Diego Union-Tribune frontpager from Sunday , headlined "Tijuana drug violence bleeds into San Diego County with recent cartel shootings":
Three shootings that left two people dead and three wounded over the past couple of months in San Diego County were linked to Mexican drug cartels and involved a drug cell embroiled in a vicious dispute with its rivals in Baja California, according to sources with knowledge of cartel activity and the ongoing investigations.
One of the shootings wounded James Bryant Corona, an alleged drug cell leader with dual U.S.-Mexican citizenship, according to sources on both sides of the border with knowledge of the investigation. Baja California Deputy Attorney General Rafael Orozco Vargas described Corona as “one of the main generators of violence” in Tijuana and greater Baja California.
Another attack killed 35-year-old Christian Espinoza Silver, a reputed member of the same drug cell, after a gunman opened fire on him inside a BMW near the parking garage of a pricey high-rise apartment complex in University City.
University City is the wealthy area just east of ultra-wealthy La Jolla, and nowhere near the border badlands where such activity wouldn't be that surprising. These kinds of rubouts have been unheard of up until now, although there was a good report from investigative reporter Ioan Grillo at Crashout Media about cartel kidnapping and 'stewmaker' activity going on in Chula Vista just south of San Diego and closer to the Mexican border in the past couple years, writing at the time.
After strangling the two victims, the gangsters threw their bodies head-first into barrels of acid, using the techniques of an infamous Tijuana killer known as “El Pozolero” or “The Stewmaker.” They buried the remaining bones and flesh in arid ground under a horse ranch. The macabre burial site was not in Mexico however but north of the border in San Ysidro on the outskirts of San Diego.

The story explains why the matter is important:
While Tijuana and Baja California have for decades been plagued by such violence related to organized crime, rarely in recent years has it bled over so publicly and brazenly into San Diego County, sparking concern among some U.S. authorities and those familiar with Mexican drug trafficking organizations.
To summarize, the cartel thugs who've terrorized Mexico are now openly operating here in San Diego, too, and that includes their gun battles and rubouts. Cartels have been known to recruit their worst triggermen from the San Diego side of the border. Some have dual citizenship or serve as anchor babies for their illegally present parents, which makes catching them harder. Worse still, the Mexican cops may be looking for them as the ringleaders for various murders, but as cartel kingpins, they aren't wanted for any trigger-pulling murders over here, so they skate easily.
Obviously, there are some legal things that need to be ironed out, based on that report, but anyone asking for it is probably going to be as lucky as the residents of Imperial Beach have been in trying to get the Biden administration to halt Tijuana sewage from fouling their U.S. beach. The Biden swamp doesn't pay much attention to what is going on so far away over here, we are just another Lahaina.
One official quoted, a former lawman named Steve Duncan, said that only the integrity of the U.S. courts kept this region from becoming a third-world hellhole.
“The only thing that’s keeping (the violence) from getting out of control here is we have integrity in our system,” Duncan said, adding that it’s important that investigators share information and solve the shootings. “It has to be investigated and prosecuted ... We have to set an example.”
Which is good food for thought. Anyone want to say the judicial system is as pristine as it used to be back when it was a two-party city?
Justice in fact is collapsing here, as it is in all blue cities, meaning, the cartels are going to feel increasingly comfortable operating here and taking their violence here, too as the quest for dominance over profits from the illegal drug trade and the illegal alien trade continue to drive cartel warfare.
Which means the cartel violence will get bolder and more brazen and more over here than ever. There could be headless bodies hanging from bridges and narco banners hung from overpasses as somehow nothing gets done about it, and there could be burning cars and gunfire raging through the city with very little done about it as this city gets bluer.
And there is no doubt that these kinds of crimes are happening that hadn't happened before:
According to the Union-Tribune :
Erubiel Tirado, a security expert and professor at Mexico’s Universidad Iberoamericana, said cartel violence in a U.S. border city would be a “huge change” in the pattern of how criminal trafficking organizations operate.
“Traditionally American cities ... were ... kind of sanctuaries (for) the kingpins and some important members of each dominant Mexican organization,” Tirado wrote in an email. “In that sense, the non written rule was do not ‘heat’ (those) territories with violence and criminal activities.”
All of that is a direct result of Joe Biden's open border and the spillover effects that follow just as surely as those busloads of illegals from China and 100 other countries.
It's not just illegals who are coming. It's what they are bringing with them as they come that stands to turn San Diego and every other blue city into cities with Tijuana-like violence driven by the quest for drug and illegals profits.

Mexican authorities ha ve found several large groups of migrants at hotels or being moved in tractor-trailers in recent weeks. Officials are also seeing a spike in ransom kidnappings where cartel-connected human smugglers hold migrants to further extort their families .

Californians are arming up for self-defense as the U.S. Border Patrol carries out street drop-offs of illegal immigrants in and around cities like San Diego.
The New York Post reported that “roughly 125,000 migrants have been released onto the streets in the San Diego area since September,” and many area residents are reacting by purchasing firearms and ammunition for themselves and their families.
Cory Gautereaux owns a gun store, Firearms Unlimited California, in northeast San Diego and he has seen business increase as more and more illegals are let loose on the streets.
Gautereaux said, “The problem for people that live around the gun store is the street dropoffs.”
He added, “That’s driven business to us.”
On October 11, 2023, the Daily Mail noted that the Border Patrol “[released] 13,000 migrants onto San Diego streets in a month due to overflowing shelters.”
The Post pointed out that gun shop customer Keith Carnevale echoed Gautereaux’s observations, “My wife and I have had home defense guns for many years. Recently, though, with all the stuff that’s happening south of the border and all the people coming over, my concerns have broadened.”
Carnevale indicated his whole family is now armed.
California has more gun controls than any state in the Union. Those controls include a ten-day waiting period for gun purchases; this means Californians who fear for their lives and go to a gun store to acquire a firearm for self-defense have to wait ten business days before taking possession of the gun.

President Joe Biden’s parole pipeline has released more than 950,000 foreign nationals into the United States since its inception in January 2023 — exceeding the entire population of South Dakota.
Late last week, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released figures for March, showing Biden’s parole pipeline is continuing to release tens of thousands of foreign nationals into the United States interior via the southern border and commercial flights.
From January 2023 through March 2024, more than 950,000 foreign nationals have been released into American communities thanks to Biden’s parole pipeline. The pipeline brings foreign nationals to the U.S. through the administration’s “CBP One” mobile app and “humanitarian parole.”
For perspective, more foreign nationals have arrived in the United States on parole under Biden than there are people living in the state of South Dakota.
The CBP One app, whereby those in northern Mexico schedule appointments at the border for release into the United States interior, has brought more than 547,000 foreign nationals into the country. Those arriving via CBP One are primarily from Venezuela, Haiti, and Mexico.
Likewise, about 404,000 nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela have arrived in the United States on humanitarian parole during the same 15-month period. Those securing humanitarian parole fly into the United States via commercial flights after getting approval from DHS to enter the country.
Specifically, DHS has allowed about 84,000 Cubans, 154,000 Haitians, 69,000 Nicaraguans, and 95,000 Venezuelans to fly to the United States and secure humanitarian parole.
Those getting parole under Biden have a massively high success rate if they apply for the immigration benefit. Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL), during a hearing last week, said DHS is approving parole for more than 97 percent of applicants.
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas argued that despite the high approval rate, “those [parole] cases are received on an individualized basis.”

As Tax Day passes on Monday, the cost of illegal immigration to American taxpayers has hit an unprecedented level on President Joe Biden’s watch.
The latest estimates, published by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) last March, show that millions of illegal aliens residing across the United States cost taxpayers more than $150 billion annually.
The FAIR report stated :
At the federal, state, and local levels, taxpayers shell out approximately $182 billion to cover the costs incurred from the presence of more than 15.5 million illegal aliens, and about 5.4 million citizen children of illegal aliens. That amounts to a cost burden of approximately $8,776 per illegal alien/citizen child. The burden of illegal immigration on U.S. taxpayers is both staggering and crippling, with the gross cost per taxpayer at $1,156 every year. [Emphasis added]
Illegal aliens only contribute roughly $32 billion in taxes at the state, local, and federal levels. This means that the net fiscal cost of illegal immigration to taxpayers totals approximately $150.7 billion. [Emphasis added]
In state and federal welfare costs, alone, illegal aliens cost taxpayers nearly $14 billion every year. Meanwhile, annual state and federal medical costs for illegal aliens total a whopping $42 billion.
Despite the cost burn of illegal immigration on taxpayers, special interest groups are currently lobbying Washington, DC, lawmakers to expand the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) with a loophole for illegal aliens to secure the tax credit.
“Currently, the law does not require either the parents or dependent children to be citizens or otherwise have lawful status (such as legal permanent residence) in order to claim the ACTC,” FAIR reported :
It only requires that the dependent children have social security numbers. That means illegal alien parents can file tax returns using an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number and claim the credit for qualifying children. [Emphasis added]
Researchers with the Center for Immigration Studies said that under Biden, the nation’s illegal alien population has grown by nearly four million from late January 2021 through February of this year — making up about half of the nation’s foreign-born population growth.
Today, the foreign-born population has reached an unprecedented 51.4 million. For comparison, the foreign-born population in the U.S. just 34 years ago stood at fewer than 20 million.

Jim Banks Introduces ‘American Students First Act’ to Stop Joe Biden from Expanding College Prep Programs to Illegal Aliens

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) is introducing legislation to stop President Joe Biden from offering taxpayer-funded college preparatory programs to illegal aliens. The programs are intended for low-income young Americans.
In an exclusive statement to Breitbart News, Banks, who is running for the United States Senate, said he is introducing the “American Students First Act.”
The legislation would prevent Biden’s Department of Education from expanding federal TRIO programs to illegal aliens.
“It’s disgusting and un-American that the Biden administration wants to use tax dollars from truckers and farmers to fund college prep classes for illegal immigrants,” Banks told Breitbart News. “All the while, our test scores are at a record low.”
In March, the Department of Education proposed expanding TRIO programs — which include the Talent Search program, the Educational Opportunity Centers program, and the Upward Bound program — to illegal aliens.
The proposal states:
The Department proposes to expand participation in several TRIO programs to more students from disadvantaged backgrounds to align with the goals of the statute … limitations in the current regulation do not allow for TRIO programs to reach all students in the geographic areas for whom the programs were meant to serve. [Emphasis added]
The TRIO college prep programs are meant for low-income young Americans and students on green cards, much like the Federal Pell Grant program.
“Rather than prepping illegals for college, the Biden administration should focus on undoing the unprecedented learning loss that happened during their school lockdowns,” Banks said.
Mass immigration to the U.S. is a billion-dollar profit pipeline for American colleges and universities. In the 2023 school year, for example, more than one million foreign students — from visa-holders to illegal aliens — were enrolled in colleges and universities in the U.S.
These colleges and universities rake in an estimated $9 billion annually from foreign students, including illegal aliens, via tuition and fees.

Joe Biden Moves to Slash Medicare Advantage

The Biden administration has finalized its move to slash Medicare Advantage as the 46th president has claimed former President Donald Trump seeks to slash entitlement programs.
The Biden administration on Monday will cut base payments for Medicare Advantage plans by an average of .16 percent despite pressure from Republicans and healthcare experts. This follows Biden making controversial moves in the risk adjusting coding system to allegedly make Medicare Advantage payments more accurate.
Biden’s move would impact more than half of Medicare enrollees, as many American seniors now look to Medicare Advantage for their healthcare needs. American seniors enrolled in Medicare Advantage could see their supplemental benefits reduced or cost-sharing increased by $33 a month in 2025, according to experts.
Chris Meekins, an analyst, said, “President Biden’s team is gambling that MA beneficiaries won’t realize before the election the benefits Biden’s team is causing them to lose come January 2025.”
Biden’s move to slash Medicare Advantage comes as Trump told Breitbart News he will never touch Social Security or Medicare. This runs contrary to claims from Biden and Democrats that he would cut entitlement programs.
“I will never do anything that will jeopardize or hurt Social Security or Medicare,” Trump explained. “We’ll have to do it elsewhere. But we’re not going to do anything to hurt them.”
A 2021 Commonwealth Fund study found that 90 percent of Medicare Advantage enrollees were satisfied with their care, which is about the same as traditional Medicare. Research has even shown Medicare Advantage outperforms Medicare on 16 different clinical quality measures. As Breitbart News reported, Biden once sponsored a bill that would sunset and subsequently review and reauthorize programs such as Social Security and Medicare:
Further, Biden may have forgotten that he sponsored a bill in 1975, when he was a senator from Delaware, that would have sunset and subsequently required review and reauthorization — or not — of federal programs, which reportedly included Social Security and Medicare. This proposal is remarkably similar to Sen. Rick Scott’s (R-FL) original proposal, which Biden has frequently attacked.
“We must… begin reviewing existing programs to determine whether they are still effective, and whether they are worth the money that we are putting in them. We must eliminate the wasteful ones,” Biden said when introducing the 1975 legislation.
Republicans and conservatives are crying foul about Biden’s axing of Medicare Advantage.
Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) said, “BREAKING: Biden just cut Medicare benefits AGAIN. 2.8 MILLION Florida seniors use Medicare Advantage & Biden’s cuts will cost them an extra $400 per year. Biden’s war on seniors is devastating & I’m fighting like hell to reverse this terrible decision.”
Rep. Kevin Hern (R-OK), the chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC), said, “The Biden White House attacks me for wanting to fix and save Medicare, meanwhile @JoeBiden
FreedomWorks President Adam Brandon said in a statement:
Yesterday, the Biden administration continued their attacks on the private sector option for seniors on Medicare, Medicare Advantage. This is the second cut in two years. This latest round of cuts will cost seniors an extra $33 per month . That’s a $396 per year rate increase for a cohort largely on fixed incomes and still reeling from terrible inflation. Medicare Advantage is so well-liked and so popular, over 50% of seniors – about 33 million – choose it over traditional Medicare. It’s incredible to me the administration is choosing to assault one of the most popular programs for our seniors.
Cutting a program as popular as Medicare Advantage seems out of character for most Democrats, unless these cuts are a necessary stepping stone towards one of their ultimate goals – Medicare for all. Democrats have been upfront about wanting a single-payer, Medicare for all type system. Perhaps Medicare Advantage and its 33 million customers are simply collateral damage in getting there.
Heritage Action wrote, “Biden is cutting Medicare Advantage benefits for 33 million Americans—and hoping they don’t notice until after the November election. Here’s how benefits for seniors are being cut. ”
Guys like Joe Biden may say they care about America's disabled veterans, but the checks cut to illegals tells a different story. Where your treasure is, so your heart will be.

Many of those Americans are already recognizing their gradual displacement by hard-working Latino migrants in local jobs, homes, communities, and elections. In March, for example, the black unemployment rate nudged up again to 6.4 percent as employers hired more of the southern migrants who are being bussed northwards by Biden’s deputies and allies.

Democrat President Joe Biden’s border crisis is so “out of control” that his administration is “willing to steal from our nation’s heroes and divert resources away from their care,” charged Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), who reiterated her dedication to fighting the current administration’s outrageous redirection of resources from veterans to illegal immigrants.
As the border crisis under Biden worsens, Ernst, who is the Senate Republican Policy Committee Chair, is standing up for border security and veterans’ rights.
Demanding a halt to the diversion of veterans’ resources to illegal immigrants, Ernst is supporting legislation to prevent the current administration from “stealing” veterans’ funds and misusing them.

In an exclusive statement to Breitbart News on Friday, Ernst, a combat veteran, called out the president for prioritizing immigrants and redirecting resources from veterans amid the deteriorating border crisis.
“President Biden’s border crisis is so out of control that his administration is willing to steal from our nation’s heroes and divert resources away from their care,” she said.
“This shouldn’t be up for debate: immigrants who have broken our laws should not receive priority over American veterans, period,” she added, vowing to “continue demanding border security and standing up for those who defended our freedoms and way of life.”
The matter comes amid reports the Biden administration is leveraging resources and personnel at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide healthcare to illegal immigrants in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention.

Ernst has long criticized the Biden administration’s focus on illegal immigrants over veterans, notably opposing the use of VA staff for border issues tied to the end of the Title 42 Order in a 2022 letter to the president.
She is also spearheading Sarah’s Law, which reinforces accountability for crimes by illegal immigrants, while urging Biden to use taxpayer-funded border wall materials. She initiated the BUILD IT Act and cosponsored the FINISH IT Act , incorporated into the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act , aiming to mitigate Biden’s border issues.

Recently, she backed a bill to stop the VA from offering healthcare or handling claims for individuals in the U.S. illegally.
From February 2021 through February 2024, Biden has overseen nine million encounters at the nation’s borders — more than 7.4 million of which occurred at the southern border. Those figures do not include the nearly two million “known got-aways” who successfully crossed U.S. borders or the millions more who are estimated to have successfully crossed the border but who remain unknown by Border Patrol.
According to an unofficial report reviewed by Breitbart Texas, U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the southwest border apprehended nearly 140,000 migrants in March — virtually unchanged from February.

Illegals now collecting more in welfare payments than disabled U.S. veterans -report
Should illegals fresh in through that hole in the border fence be getting more money than disabled U.S. veterans, some of whom are sleeping on the streets?
Only in Joe Biden's world of wide open borders.
According to Newsweek:
A family of four migrants in New York City receives more monthly funding than a family of four that includes a military veteran who receives disability compensation.
...and...
Migrants coming to New York City are being given prepaid debit cards that in certain cases, like food assistance, dwarf the amounts provided to families of legal status. For example, the average family of four's monthly Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) payment is $713, but migrant families of four receive $1,400 a month .
That total is also higher than military veterans' disability compensation. A veteran who has a 50 percent disability rating and a spouse and one child receives $1,255.16 once every four weeks, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
When a child under age 18 is added to that family, the payment rises $51 to $1,306.16 a month—still nearly $100 less than what a migrant family of four receives from the prepaid card assistance.
Which is complete insanity. Illegal aliens, who are not means-tested, and in some cases are rather well-heeled, judging by their designer duds and cash paid to human-smuggling rackets to get across, shouldn't be getting a single penny from American taxpayers. It's not just that they didn't earn it. It's that immigrants have never gotten the lavish benefit packages we have seen now, making a mockery of the immigrant tradition of arriving penniless and working hard to better one's lot. We don't see that. We see the importation of a vast, unassimilated foreign underclass that will be taking U.S.welfare for generations given the lack of incentive to work and in some cases, lack of experience living any other way. The illegals coming here now are looking for an easier life and with the package now so lavish, migrants consider themselves fools for staying back home instead of coming here and taking it.
Veterans, on the other hand, those men and women who served in uniform during our endless wars in the Middle East, some of whom were discarded by the service after injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder (yes, it happens) are getting pauper's rations. Some are some addicted to drugs and in need of treatment, and some are not addicted to drugs, but nevertheless living on the streets as if they were. After being injured in the service to our country, how bitter it must be to be discarded in this manner, only to find themselves "replaced" as the new favorite of Democrats' ministrations.
The veterans who gave their all to this country should be first in line for any extra help from the government or its private sector partners in their situation. That they are thrown to the wolves and left to fend for themselves after the price they paid is outrageous. They should be given every assistance they need, plus compensation for their truncated capacity to provide for themselves. The government should be giving these people houses and everything else they need because they earned it.
Of course, that's not how the exploiters in government see it. Once used up, the service members are discarded.
As one of our American Thinker contributors, Robert J. Hain, memorably asked last year:
Why do private charities such as Tunnels to Towers and Wounded Warriors even need to exist?
Why indeed.
And if the U.S. has this much money to hand out to illegals, why was it not given to the veterans in the first place? Clearly the priorities are screwed up, but more likely, Democrats are angling for illegals' votes and warm seats in their depopulated districts in order to preserve their congressional representation.
It's outrageous what is going on. And it's clearly the result of special interests gone out of control, in the quest for federal cash for their ministrations, and ultimately happening because of the leadership at the top.
Guys like Joe Biden may say they care about America's disabled veterans, but the checks cut to illegals tells a different story. Where your treasure is, so your heart will be.

During a portion of an interview with CNBC that was recorded in February and aired on Thursday’s “Cities of Success,” Denver Mayor Mike Johnston responded to a question on if the city was too open to migrants and too generous by stating that “it’s a balance. We want to be a welcoming city” but doing that without federal help “requires shared sacrifice, it requires compromise. So, we are both making cuts to city budgets to meet this financial need, and we are making cuts to the amount of services we can provide to the migrants that arrive and to the number of folks that we can serve.”
Johnston said that the number of migrants that came to the city was “much higher than what we thought. I will say, what we’re very proud of is, like other problems, we’ve taken this on, we’ve figured out an entrepreneurial approach, and we’ve figured out a path to solve it. Of the 40,000 migrants who have arrived in this city, as of tonight, I have a regular count, we have about 40 to 45 migrants total that are unsheltered tonight. That means 99.9% of those 40,000 have come through, gotten connected to services, housing, work, and made it successfully. So, we figured out how to run this machine, how to welcome people, get them connected to legal clinics, provide them wrap-around resources. To do that well just requires resources, and so, our challenge is, we can do it well with federal help, we can do it well with more work authorization, we can do it well with a coordinated plan for entry. Without any of those three, the work becomes tougher. But we’ve now doubled down, assuming there’s no federal help coming, and we’re going to figure it out on our own.”
CNBC host Carl Quintanilla then asked, “What do you say to Denverites who say, we were too generous, we gave away — we opened the door too wide?”
Johnston responded, “We think it’s a balance. We want to be a welcoming city where you don’t have a woman with a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old sleeping outside in a tent in ten-degree weather in a snowstorm. That’s one of our values. And we also want to be able to provide high-quality public services to all the taxpayers. That’s also one of our values. And in this context, without any federal support, to do both of those things requires shared sacrifice, it requires compromise. So, we are both making cuts to city budgets to meet this financial need, and we are making cuts to the amount of services we can provide to the migrants that arrive and to the number of folks that we can serve.”

A recent poll finds that the issue of illegal immigration has become a top election issue in Colorado as the state drowns in tens of millions spent on freebies for Joe Biden’s illegal border crossers.
A statewide poll of Colorado voters shows that Joe Biden’s border crisis is weighing heavily on the minds of Coloradans.
The poll, conducted by the Colorado Polling Institute, quizzed 632 likely voters in the Centennial State on what they feel are the most important issues of the 2024 election, the Denver Gazette reported .
Illegal immigration topped the list in the poll, with 14 percent of those surveyed saying it was the most important issue. Homelessness came in at number two, with 12 percent. In many cases, though, homelessness is a kindred issue to that of the influx of illegal immigrants.

Republican pollster Lori Weigel, of New Bridge Strategy, said, “Immigration emerging as a top issue among voters in Colorado follows trends we are seeing in research nationally.”
“Given the number of new arrivals in Denver, it’s not surprising to see in our survey that 66% of respondents in the Denver-metro area viewed the issue as a crisis or major problem, but even 57% elsewhere in the state said the same,” Weigel added.
Indeed, Weigel is correct. A recent national Harvard/Harris poll found that immigration was the number-one issue going into the 2024 election.
Further, 51 percent in the Colorado poll said that state resources are being “overwhelmed” by the influx of illegal aliens.
Denver has been engulfed in a sea of Joe Biden’s illegal immigrants with more than 40,000 arriving in the city since last year at a cost of some $63 million in tax dollars spent on giving the migrants fee housing, food, clothing, medical care, legal care, education, and more.
The Gazette further notes that city taxpayers are on the hook for the lion’s share of those expenditures after federal sources have only reimbursed Denver to the tune of $14 million.
Denver officials are so put upon that some have been caught on video pleading with migrants to turn around and abandon plans to stay in Denver.
On Wednesday, Denver’s recently appointed “Newcomer Communications Liaison,” Andres Carrera, was seen on a video recorded on one of the city’s main shelters pleading with migrants to take city-paid trips to Chicago or New York City.
VIDEO Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has also been trying to prevent illegal aliens from coming to Denver in the first place.
Last October, Johnston sent city officials to several Texas border towns to distribute flyers telling migrants to skip Denver because the city was full and had no more room for illegals.
But Colorado’s laws act as a draw, despite the pleading of officials for migrants to forego the trip to the Centennial State.
The Colorado Polling Institute poll has a plus or minus margin of error at four percent.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn Issues Bill to Withhold Federal Funds from Universities Hiring Illegal Aliens Tom Williams/CQ Roll Call 1:56
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is introducing legislation that would withhold federal funding from any college or university that hires illegal aliens, Breitbart News has exclusively learned.
“If colleges and universities want access to federal funding, they need to abide by federal immigration law,” Blackburn told Breitbart News.
Specifically, Blackburn’s “Enforcing Rule of Law on Campus Act” invokes the Immigration and Nationality Act, which makes clear that it is illegal for an employer to hire an illegal alien while knowing their illegal status.
“Hardworking American citizens do not deserve to be cast aside in order to prioritize illegal immigrants,” Blackburn said. “Amid President Biden’s open border agenda and willful disregard for the rule of law, it is crucial that our educational institutions play by the rules.”
Sens. Tom Cotton (R-AR), Mike Braun (R-IN), and Josh Hawley (R-MO) are co-sponsoring Blackburn’s legislation.
The legislation comes as the University of California floated the idea of hiring illegal aliens to work on its campus — a move that several left-wing student groups and law professors supported. The plan, though, was halted in January.
The plan was considered so controversial that President Joe Biden’s administration reportedly warned against it behind closed doors, fearing a legal challenge during a tough election year for the president.
Colleges and universities rely heavily on federal funds from American taxpayers, receiving nearly $175 billion in 2021, alone.

Chicago’s self-professed progressive Mayor Brandon Johnson is pushing the Biden administration to cut loose with more work permits for the tens of thousands of illegals sheltering in the city even as local black unemployment soars to many times the national average.
As Chicago has been beset by nearly 40,000 illegals in the city’s 20 shelters, without work permits, illegals have a more have a difficult time getting work in Chicago, and Johnson has been pushing for more of these permits — which must come from the federal government.
But Johnson has been piqued by the slow-moving wheels of the feds. According to Axios , 5,329 applications for work permits have been filed in the Windy City, but only 2,258 have been granted.
Meanwhile, black unemployment has exploded in Chicago even as the mayor they voted for is working overtime to give more jobs to illegals against a backdrop of rising crime levels.

As Crain’s Chicago Business reported, black unemployment in Illinois is 10.9 percent . But in Chicago, it stands at a shocking 57.4 percent. Black unemployment nationally is only 5.5 percent , according to Statista.

TB is not the only disease breaking out in the city’s migrant shelters.
Health officials have also reported an outbreak of measles , which grew so bad that the Centers for Disease Control sent a team to help the city deal with the outbreak.
Chicago is not the only deep blue city demanding that Biden open up the spigot of work permits for illegals.
Denver mayor Mike Johnston is also pining for more work permits. In Jan, Johnston insisted that he needs to work permits, but the greater problem of more work permits being a draw for even more illegals is “above his pay grade.”
