President Joe Biden is not planning to prioritize thousands of American citizens stranded in evacuations from Afghanistan, as the country falls similar to that of the Fall of Saigon in 1975, over Afghan nationals applying for visas to the United States.

Pentagon press secretary John Kirby confirmed to Fox News on Sunday evening that the administration will not give priority evacuation to Americans in Afghanistan over Afghans applying for visas.

As Breitbart News reported, the State Department and Defense Department have said there are “thousands” of Americans left in Afghanistan.

“Once we get more airlift out of Kabul, we’re going to put as many people on those planes as we can,” Kirby told Fox News:

There will be a mix, not just American citizens, but perhaps some Afghan [Special Immigrant Visa] applicants as well. We’re going to focus on getting people out of the country, then sorting it out at the next stop. It’s not going to be just Americans first, then [Special Immigrant Visa] applicants.

According to an anonymous source at the Defense Department who spoke to Fox News, the administration is considering fast-tracking some 30,000 Afghan nationals into the U.S., sending them to Fort McCoy in Monroe County, Wisconsin, and Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, using the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program.

The Biden administration, though, is seemingly expanding its intake of Afghans beyond those who would qualify for SIV status — typically interpreters and their family members — to include thousands who worked for military contractors, U.S.-based media outlets, or a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Afghanistan.

In July, the Biden administration resettled about 200 Afghan interpreters and their family members at Fort Lee in Prince George County, Virginia, before they are resettled across the U.S. An additional 2,500 Afghans and their families had been set to arrive in the U.S. while 4,000 were expected to be sent to third countries while awaiting their visa processing.

House Democrats and Republicans passed legislation that allows Afghans seeking SIVs to bypass standard medical exam requirements before they arrive in the U.S. Only 46 House Republicans opposed the plan.

Instead, Afghans can get medical exams after they land in the U.S.

Many Afghan soldiers have complained that they not only have not been paid in months, in many instances their units were no longer receiving food or supplies -- not even ammunition.

This all reflects badly on our military, intelligence community and the administration.  Perhaps Secretary Blinken is getting his advice from Grover on Sesame Street.  If he is not, perhaps he should.

Dear Media: You got what you wanted and what you worked for. Happy now?

Our despicable mainstream media did everything in its vast and coercive power to see Joe Biden elected president.

President Trump was a madman, they said, a Hitler, and a host of other ridiculous charges that were patently untrue.  He was, and history will show, that he was the best president since Ronald Reagan.

But the media hated him because he wasn’t one of their imagined exalted elite.

So they lied, cheated, and stole an election in order to put the dementia-ridden Biden in the oval office.

In seven months, Biden has pretty much destroyed America!  The open border has welcomed what will be a million migrants from around the world by the end of the year, many of them sick with a panoply of diseases long ago eradicated in America, and bringing in new variants of COVID. While Americans are ordered to mask up and be vaxxed, these people arriving at our southern border, welcomed by the Biden regime that has tied the hands of ICE and the Border Patrol, are mask- and vax-free.  Eleven Democrat senators just voted against mandating that they be screened, tested, masked and vaxxed before being allowed in to roam about the country. How’s that for hypocrisy?  Biden is purposefully altering the demographics of the U.S. with the single-minded goal of making the Democrat party the ruling party in perpetuity. He and his partners in crime care not a bit about the American people.  They care only about cementing their control over the 330 million citizens who call his nation our home.

As if the breach of our southern border by hundreds of thousands of people seeking what Biden promised – shelter, health care, the vote – was not enough of a treasonous act, he has caused massive inflation; by killing the Keystone pipeline and letting Russia have theirs. The Nord Stream2, which Trump had sanctioned, will enrich Putin’s Russia for decades to come. It will also drive Germany toward Russia as, having nuked their own perfectly logical nuclear power industry, they need the oil and natural gas, which we could have sold to them. Shamefully, Biden is now begging OPEC to pump more oil.  Just eight months ago, the U.S. was energy independent.

Biden’s border policy and his anti-energy policy is going to destroy the middle class. Clearly that is the grand plan. The more people dependent on government largesse, the more votes for Democrats.

But of course, the worst failure of all so far is Biden’s wholesale betrayal of every family who sent one of their own to fight in Afghanistan.

The Biden administration just said you-know-what to the thousands of those killed and/or maimed over that conflict over the past twenty years.  He has sacrificed Afghanistan to the Taliban, he’s sacrificed to them the women and girls who will find themselves back in the seventh century.  Biden did this with the malfeasance millions of us knew him as the man Robert Gates said has "been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades."

Biden and his team of incompetents did this, they re-enacted the U.S.’s retreat from Saigon in 1975, with Americans having to be rescued from the roof of the American embassy.  That is happening now in Kabul.  Shockingly, pigs flew and Jake Tapper at CNN actually uttered some true words on Sunday when speaking to the disreputable Anthony Blinken who foolishly tried to defend the regime’s total capitulation to the Taliban.  But Tapper, too, is culpable. How could this happen? Thank the disgraceful media that so hated President Trump that they actually promoted and defended the man who will go down in history as the most incompetent, the most destructive president in U.S. history.

Did our left-media vet Biden?  No. They covered up for him. They covered up his lifetime of sexual harassment of women and young girls.  They covered up for his racism, his plagiarism, his lies about his own background. They covered up for his criminally corrupt son Hunter.  They covered up his obvious dementia.  They covered up for his lifetime of corruption.  As numerous memes have effectively put out:  “When a billionaire becomes president, the last thing on your mind should be seeing his tax returns.  When a career politician with a salary of $174k  has a net worth of $50m and owns multiple mansions, people should be asking how.”   Biden has long been one of the most corrupt pols in D.C. All you have to do is read Peter Schweizer's investigative reporting to see the clarity of that.  So who ordered Biden to turn Afghanistan over to China and/or Russia?  Hmmm.

This president should be impeached now, as quickly as possible.  He is using his office to destroy the United States and he’s doing it for personal gain, personal gain he has long enjoyed for selling out his country.  And because he is a Democrat, he accomplished all this with the unquestioning help of our anti-American media.   They may soon find themselves on the funeral pyre of totalitarianism.   Can’t we just see Joy Reid and Jim Acosta screaming as they are hauled off to the camps:  “But we loved you, we supported you, we protected you.”  Tell it to the Nazi collaborators.

Our once blindly trusted media has been betraying the American people since Walter Cronkite declared the Vietnam War lost.  It wasn’t  - but the people believed him and we accepted defeat, condemning millions of Vietnamese, Laotian, and Cambodian people to death.  There are millions today who believe what they hear on CNN and MSNBC no matter how egregious or guilty of omission their reporting is.

Those who pontificate on those outlets, as well as the three networks, are propagandists of the worst kind; they consider themselves worthy of deciding what news to which we can and cannot be exposed.  They may well be the death of us all.  They deserve only contempt, no respect.  There are exceptions, of course, but they are too few and too often suppressed. But as for the catastrophic failure of the Biden administration so far, our mainstream media bears much of the responsibility.  So benighted are they by Trump’s wisdom and expertise, they have rendered themselves  enemies of “we the people.”

THE CRONY CLASS:

Income inequality grows FOUR TIMES FASTER under Obama-Biden and their bankster regime than Bush.

“By the time of Bill Clinton’s election in 1992, the Democratic Party had completely repudiated its association with the reforms of the New Deal and Great Society periods. Clinton gutted welfare programs to provide an ample supply of cheap labor for the rich (WHICH NOW MEANS OPEN BORDERS AND NO E-VERIFY!), including a growing layer of black capitalists, and passed the 1994 Federal Crime Bill, with its notorious “three strikes” provision that has helped create the largest prison population in the world.”

“Our entire crony capitalist system, Democrat and Republican alike, has become a kleptocracy approaching par with third-world hell-holes.  This is the way a great country is raided by its elite.” ----Karen McQuillan AMERICAN THINKER

Biden defended the wealthy in his speech to the donors but begged them to be aware of wealth inequality.

Wealth concentration increases in US.

https://mexicanoccupation.blogspot.com/2019/02/staggering-concentration-of-wealth-in.html

The latest research on wealth inequality by University of California economics professor Gabriel Zucman underscores one of the key social and economic trends since the global financial crisis of 2008. Those at the very top of society, who benefited directly from the orgy of speculation that led to the crash, have seen their wealth accumulate at an even faster rate, while the mass of the population has suffered a major decline.

The past 40 years have seen the consolidation of a plutocratic elite, which has subordinated every aspect of American society to a single goal: amassing ever more colossal amounts of personal wealth. The top one percent have captured all of the increase in national income over the past two decades, and all of the increase in national wealth since the 2008 crash.

“This was not because of difficulties in securing indictments or convictions. On the contrary, Attorney General Eric Holder told a Senate committee in March of 2013 that the Obama administration chose not to prosecute the big banks or their CEOs because to do so might “have a negative impact on the national economy.”

"This is how they will destroy America from within.  The leftist billionaires who orchestrate these plans are wealthy. Those tasked with representing us in Congress will never be exposed to the cost of the invasion of millions of migrants.  They have nothing but contempt for those of us who must endure the consequences of our communities being intruded upon by gang members, drug dealers and human traffickers.  These people have no intention of becoming Americans; like the Democrats who welcome them, they have contempt for us." PATRICIA McCARTHY

A key factor in Obama’s newfound and growing wealth are those who profited from his presidency. A number of his public speeches have been given to big Wall Street firms and investors. Obama has given at least nine speeches to Cantor Fitzgerald, a large investment and commercial real estate firm, and other high-end corporations. According to records, each speech has been at least $400,000 a clip.

During his presidency, Obama bragged that his administration was “the only thing between [Wall Street] and the pitchforks.”

In fact, Obama handed the robber barons and outright criminals responsible for the 2008–09 financial crisis a multi-trillion-dollar bailout. His administration oversaw the largest redistribution of wealth in history from the bottom to the top one percent, spearheading the attack on the living standards of teachers and autoworkers.

Videos: Yes, Joe, it's like Saigon

Joe Biden made a big deal about his rigid, hasty, ill-planned, badly executed Afghan pullout not being another Saigon, a reference to the disgraceful final pullout of the U.S. presence in Vietnam in 1975.

“The Taliban is not the North Vietnamese army,” Biden assured. “They’re not remotely comparable in terms of capability.”

“There’s going to be no circumstance where you are going to see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy of the United States from Afghanistan,” he added. “It is not at all comparable.”

The more he says it, the less true it gets. His dishonesty is palpable. He seems to think that by making this claim, the press will repeat it ad nauseum and it will become standard wisdom.

But images don't lie, and here are the pictures and videos of horror rolling out this morning:

Those are people so terrified of what will happen to them under the Taliban they can't think straight. They're desperate to get out. They have no place to go. They know the Taliban will rule forever and they will be as powerless as Cubans to stop it. There's no safe haven even in Kabul anymore, they know that the Taliban is going rule with an iron hand erasing all freedoms, all means of getting them out of power, and will torture, rob, maim, and kill them. The Taliban never keep their word on anything, ever, and these people know it.

There's also this: Fear. In the city, outside the airport, no one wants to come out. They are terrified. The State department urged Americans who were still in the city to "shelter in place" and not come to the airport. The Afghanis who live in Kabul didn't need to be told.

The scum the U.S. is leaving the country in the hands of are not only some of the world's foulest terrorists, they're actual criminals, emptied out from the country's prisons. Their leaders are Gitmo's finest, actual former Gitmo inmates who somehow got let out during Joe Biden's vice presidency and went on to march into Kabul and take over the presidential palace and $700 million American embassy. For Afghans themselves, they're reportedly already starting the stadium executions.

It's very much the same terrifying thing we saw in South Vietnam with terrified, powerless Vietnamese flooding the airports and attempting to escape by any military aircraft they could, in utter chaos, and then taking to the open seas in rickety boats in shark- and pirate-infested waters, sailing miles and miles to any refuge they could find. The horror is known yet unimaginable. That's what we're seeing right now, and it's very much another Saigon.

It follows from this deja vu scene yesterday:

Joe Biden's Afghan fiasco

Secretary of State Antony Blinken has insisted that the Afghan situation is “manifestly not Saigon.”  This has been suggested because helicopters are being used to evacuate embassy personnel.  Perhaps it is more like Benghazi.  In both cases, the commander-in-chief left the scene: Obama to bed and Biden to Camp David.  Americans have been advised to "shelter in place” and fill out a Repatriation Assistance Request.  Civilians are advised not to come to the embassy or airport.  There has been no mention of the archaic notion of "women and children first."

The president was confident that Afghanistan would not fall to the Taliban.  He claimed this because the Afghan government has "300,000 well-equipped" troops. He said they were "as well-equipped as any army in the world." The United States spared no expense in equipping the Afghan army:  Airplanes, helicopters, drones, armored vehicles, night-vision goggles, a flight simulator, and even the latest Black Hawk attack helicopters.  The president claimed, "I trust the capacity of the Afghan military, who is better trained, better equipped, and more—more competent in terms of conducting war."  With the rapid surrender of government forces it now seems that the Taliban is "as well-equipped as any army in the world."

The first explanation for this fiasco is that it was a total surprise.  The AP reported Biden was "stunned." "This Week" co-anchor and chief global affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz said Sunday that the U.S. was "caught unaware and completely off guard" by the Taliban's rapid advance in Afghanistan. She said that there was a "massive intelligence failure."  A earlier U.S. intelligence assessment said Kabul could be encircled in 30 days and could fall to the Taliban within 90 days, but the insurgents captured most of Afghanistan’s major cities in less than a week and entered the capital on Sunday.  NBC News' chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel disagreed.  Engel was asked whether it is surprising "not that it is happening, as much as how fast it is happening,"  "No. everyone keeps saying that. I've been listening all day: 'oh my God, we're shocked at how fast' -- I'm not shocked at all! I thought Kabul was going to fall about now. And lots of people I spoke to believed that . . . It was well known that the security forces were collapsing, a month, two months, three months ago."

The administration is attempting to spin that as a victory.  The president stated, "We went to war with clear goals. We achieved those objectives. [Osama] Bin Laden is dead, and al-Qaida is degraded in Iraq — in Afghanistan. And it's time to end the forever war." Secretary of State Blinken claimed, the United States’ original mission in Afghanistan, launched to oust al Qaida chief Osama bin Laden after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, had been fulfilled.  Washington had prevented further attacks by militants harbored by the Taliban.  Richard Engel viewed the situation differently.  Engel reported that "many will see this as a humiliating exit" for the United States. My only quibble would be to ask, "many"? Who doesn't see this as a humiliating exit?"

What has been the cost of this fiasco?  6,294 U.S. military and civilian contractor deaths.  Our NATO allies sustained 1,144 deaths.  The United States spent $2.26 trillion on the war in Afghanistan.  The Defense Department funded such things as a $43 million compressed natural gas station in Afghanistan.  Still after 20 years of investments, the Afghan state could not defend itself.  Much of this disaster could have been foreseen.  The Afghans were never enthusiastic about America's mission in their country.  Pentagon press secretary John Kirby described Afghan leaders: "What has been disconcerting to see is that there hasn't been that will, that political leadership, that military leadership and the ability to push back." In 2020, the Afghan army had to replace 25 percent of its force each year -- largely because of desertions.  Since 2007, insider attacks have resulted in the death of at least 157 NATO personnel and 557 members of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.  Most Afghans do not look favorably on the U.S. embassy flying the rainbow flag and its attempts to promote women's liberation.

Former U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan, Ronald Neumann, said the current crisis was avoidable.  It is almost as if the U.S. intentionally subverted the Afghan government.  Neumann asserts that, "We built an air force that depended on contractors for maintenance and then pulled the contractors."  The salaries of the Afghan army had been paid for by the Pentagon. But from the moment the American army announced its planned withdrawal in April, responsibility for those payments fell on the Kabul government.
