BIDEN CAN'T MAKE ELECTRIC CARS VIABLE SO HE'S RAISING GAS PRICES - AFTER ALL, NANCY PELOSI IS HEAVILY INVESTED IN TESLA

GOP Sen. Marshall: Biden Can’t Make Electric Cars Viable, So He’s Raising Gas Prices

0:57

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) argued that President Joe Biden realizes he can’t make electric vehicles economically viable and so “they’re going to raise the price of gasoline.”

Marshall said, “The president realizes that they can never bring the cost of running an electric car down to what it is — the cost for an internal combustion engine. So, they’re going to raise the price of gasoline. So, just think about what he’s done since he’s taken over. I said back in February, gas would be $5 a gallon by Christmas and we’re on our way there. One of the things happening here in Kansas is, we can’t get financing anymore for drilling.”

MEXICO = DRUGS!

Desert towns in California have seen a dramatic increase of illegal marijuana plantations, operating through means of water theft, human trafficking, and violence.

How Foreign Drug Operations Are Taking Over California’s Desert Towns: Jorge Ventura

THIS IS WHAT THE DEMOCRAT PARTY'S OPEN BORDERS
HAS DONE TO CALIFORNIA!

This really is happening here in the Mojave Desert. There are huge pot Farms out here where water is very scarce. But the local residents unwittingly do contract work for them just to make money. Greed is everywhere. If you go to buy PVC pipe fittings at Home Depot or any other hardware store the non-english-speaking Chinese are in there grabbing it all up so they can water their pot in cheap "greenhouses". It's unbelievable what's happening in this country.

White House: Rising Gas Prices Prove Government Should Spend More on Green Energy

The White House on Friday said that rising gas prices proved that the federal government should spend more on green energy.

“The rise in gas prices over the long term makes an even stronger case for doubling down our investment and our focus on clean energy options,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during the daily briefing.

Psaki acknowledged that the White House had suspended oil and gas leases on federal lands, but clarified that existing leases were still able to produce.

She blamed market fluctuations driven by OPEC for rising gas prices and repeated that the Biden administration would continue monitoring any cases of possible price gouging by energy companies.

When asked if the current prices were acceptable, Psaki replied, “We certainly don’t think that.”

Psaki did not have any response to questions about whether the Biden administration would act immediately to alleviate high gas prices.

Some of the proposals for the administration include banning exports of fossil fuels, easing bio-fuel blending requirements, or releasing fuel from the strategic oil reserves, some of them even endorsed by Senate Democrats.

Psaki did not respond to any of the proposals, but said that the White House was “monitoring” the situation but had no specific actions to preview.

Biden's cobra presidency

Have you noticed how Joe Biden says he wants to lower gas prices, so he cancels the Keystone pipeline?

He wants to lower unemployment, so he pays people not to work?

He wants to beat inflation, so the Fed prints more money?

Biden is President Perverse.

The Cobra Effect is economics slang for "perverse incentives."  If you give your kid money every time the kid misbehaves, that's a perverse incentive.  Every parent knows that mandates are perverse.  You don't give your teenager money to buy cocaine.  (Or maybe Joe does.)

Conservatives wonder if Joe's brain is beyond its sell-by date, but that isn't quite right.

The resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave isn't just failing; he does the opposite of a competent president.  He's perverse.

Most of us are beginning to get that.

The Afghan withdrawal was a classic lesson in how not to conduct a competent military withdrawal.  This is perverse.  You tell Americans you support the military, and you make the military look like bumbling fools.

It's like the fat hippie admiral the left just created.  Look at the photo, and you see perversity, the opposite of honor.

This is like Obama's apology tour.  Do you want the world to respect the United States?  Go around the world bowing down to the president of China and the Saudi king and pretend you don't hear the laughter.

The left of the left seems to like these perverse jokes.

The only trouble is that the U.S. president is supposed to be on our side.

You have to give them credit for a sense of humor, I suppose.

Jimmy Carter handed Iran to the mass-murdering mullahs, but I don't think he was laughing out loud.

The Cobra Effect is a sort of an economics joke based on the story that New Delhi had too many cobras at one time, so the city paid a bounty for dead cobras.  Then smart Indian people started to raise more cobras to get the bounty, the opposite of the intended outcome.

Economists use that story to explain economic stupidity.

But Joe Biden has topped stupid and is now the most deliberately perverse POTUS in history.

It's the only explanation I can think of.

You want to stop racism?  Teach people how to hate white folks.  Are you laughing yet, America?

These are angry, bitter, hateful people with more than a little sadistic glee in their makeup.

You say you love America, and you do your worst?

This is the twisted face of hatred.

It's Joe Biden's Cobra presidency.

Energy Secretary Granholm Violates Ethics Pledge To Boost Proterra, Watchdog Claims

Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm committed a "flagrant" violation of ethics rules by using her official position to promote products of her former employer, electric bus manufacturer Proterra, according to a watchdog complaint obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Government watchdog Protect the Public's Trust notified the Department of Energy's inspector general on Friday of its concerns regarding a Nov. 1 event in which Granholm appeared at an official administration event with Proterra buses prominently displayed behind her. Granholm's participation in the event, where more than $100 million worth of government grants were announced to support electric vehicle manufacturers, was a "conscious, flagrant affront to her ethics obligations," the watchdog wrote.

"A full investigation is warranted to understand whether and to what extent Secretary Granholm has violated her legal and ethics obligations as a Cabinet official," Protect the Public's Trust director Michael Chamberlain wrote in the group's letter to agency ethics officials.

The letter argues that it was unethical for Granholm to participate in an event in which grants that "directly and predictably benefit Proterra" were announced. During the event, where Granholm was flanked by Proterra buses and joined by Vice President Kamala Harris and several senators, she praised Proterra's battery technology.

"We are doing it, going 400, 500, 600 miles on a charge," Granholm said, referencing the technology in the Proterra-powered vehicles behind her. Granholm announced $127 million in government grants to fund electric vehicles, gesturing to her former company's vehicles.

As energy secretary, Granholm is bound by the Biden administration’s ethics pledge, which prevents officials from "participating in particular matters … directly and substantially related to their former employer or former clients, including regulations and contracts."

The Nov. 1 event followed several months of public scrutiny into the administration's promotion of Proterra, which has come from President Joe Biden himself. Granholm had distanced herself from public events directly involving Proterra due to her large financial stake in the company, which she sold for a $1.6 million profit in May.

Proterra has made clear to investors that it is counting on significant government investment as part of its business plan. It told shareholders in August that it planned to "ride the wave" of the Biden administration's proposed infrastructure plan, which was approved by Congress last week. The plan includes billions of dollars' worth of investment in electric batteries, and Proterra boasts in company reports that it positioned itself to profit from the taxpayer funds.

Protect the Public's Trust argues that any reasonable person with knowledge of Granholm's history with Proterra would question whether the company received "preferential treatment" from the secretary. The government watchdog says Granholm should have felt obligated to consult with government ethics officials before participating in the event involving Proterra.

The watchdog also says Granholm should recuse herself from all government business involving grants that would be made available to Proterra.

The Department of Energy did not respond to a request for comment.
