Border Patrol agents and other law enforcement partners continue to make apprehensions of migrants reaching the Florida coastline. Agents took 31 migrants from four countries into custody in two incidents on Tuesday.

During the overnight hours Tuesday, Miami Sector Border Patrol agents working with other law enforcement partners responded to a maritime smuggling incident near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, according to a tweet from Miami Sector Chief Patrol Agent Walter N. Slosar.

The law enforcement team took 12 migrants from Haiti, Brazil, and the Bahamas into custody. Slosar said the incident remains under investigation.

Earlier in the day, Miami Sector agents and other law enforcement partners responded to a migrant landing in what appears to be a homemade boat. The agents arrived at the Key Colony Beach location and apprehended 19 migrants from Cuba, Slosar tweeted.

Oddly, the boat contained a large beach blanket or towel with the image of a U.S. $100 bill.

The chief thanked the Florida Highway Patrol, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and CBP Air and Marine Operations for their support in the incident.

During the first two months of the new Fiscal Year 23, Miami Sector agents apprehended 2,048 migrants. This is more than half of the total apprehensions for all of FY22 when agents took 4,009 migrants into custody, according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Nationwide Encounters report.

JOE BIDEN = PERPETRATED OF THE GREATEST INVASION IN WORLD HISTORY!

President Biden's mass migration crisis has bestowed such fabulous riches upon these criminal organizations that traditional drug trafficking is no longer the only prize worth dying for. Nowadays, Mex cartels are battling one another for control of an illegal immigrant smuggling boom. And the bonanza of illicit gains from it are being spent on growing and arming the ranks of the cartels' paramilitary armies - creating a economic and national security threat to the U.S. Todd Bensman

The large U.S. population of illegal immigrants helps to push down wages for Americans, push disadvantaged workers out of the labor force, reduce corporate investment in technology and training, and spike corporate sales and profits. The large population also shifts the U.S. politics from a focus on Americans’ jobs and wages, and then towards a politics focused on business demands and the 1950’s claim by elites that the United States is a diverse “nation of immigrants,” not a cooperative nation for all Americans.

Border Security Advocates Blast Joe Biden for Border Photo-Op

Border security advocates with the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) criticized President Biden for his photo-op on the border, which they say was “designed to quell criticism.”

President of FAIR Dan Stein blasted Biden in a press release, contending that his photo-op on the border was intended to “quell criticism” rather than assist any “serious effort to end a crisis he created.”

Stein noted that “this crisis is all by design,” citing then-presidential candidate Biden who signaled his opposition to border security during a 2019 primary debate when he said “I would, in fact, make sure that there is—we immediately surge to the border. All those people seeking asylum, they deserve to be heard.”

Stein also noted that “In their first 100 days, the Biden administration took over 90 executive actions on immigration, many of which dismantled an effective system, making it easier for migrants to illegally enter and stay for good.”

He went on to point out that follow-up executive actions and policy decisions have worsened the crisis on the border. But perhaps worst of all, “The administration also immediately sent a 353-page mass amnesty bill to Congress,” Stein notes.

Meanwhile, “the core component of President Biden’s trip was a brief dog and pony show on port of entry inspections,” Stein argues.

Mark Morgan, a senior fellow at FAIR and a former Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, also criticized Biden for the stunt, noting that he used his trip to the border “for a photo-op in front of the highly effective border wall he unilaterally scrapped on his first day in office.”

Morgan also highlighted that the president stated he would meet with Border Patrol Agents and “make public” their requests. Morgan added that “If he did, he would have heard exactly what he was told two years ago,” that “walls work” and that “We are being overrun.”

“We are unable to do our job to protect our nation against a vast and complex set of threats; we have been pulled off the front lines and relegated to performing the duties of a federal travel agency,” he continued.

“They likely told him how drugs, criminal aliens, and potential national security threats are pouring across the wide-open southern border,” Morgan added.

As of October 2022, it is estimated that roughly 2.4 million illegal immigrants have entered our country since President Biden took office.

Meanwhile, an exclusive report from Breitbart News revealed that an estimated 72,000 illegal migrants got away from Border Patrol without being apprehended in the month of December. In this fiscal year alone, which started on October 1st, an estimated 212,000 illegal migrants have gotten away from Border Patrol.

Mexican President AMLO Praises Biden for Halting Border Wall: ‘Thank You’

Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) thanked President Joe Biden for halting the construction of border wall along the United States-Mexico border at a North American summit on Tuesday.

Alongside Biden and Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, AMLO praised Biden’s immediate halt to border wall construction along the southern border. The day after taking office, Biden signed an executive order that stopped all wall construction that had been underway by former President Trump.

“You, President Biden, you are the first president of the United States in a very long time that has not built, not even one meter, of wall,” AMLO said during remarks at the summit. “In that, we thank you for that sir. Although some might not like it, although the conservatives don’t like it.”

Indeed, as Breitbart News has chronicled, the Biden administration has chosen to leave wide holes in the border wall, rendering the barrier useless in many circumstances for Border Patrol agents trying to reduce illegal immigration from Mexico.

Instead, the Biden administration has spent previously-allocated border wall funds on “environmental remediation” projects, even as some 2.6 million border crossers and illegal aliens are projected to be apprehended this year.

While rejecting the benefits of a border wall to stop illegal immigration into the U.S., Biden is spending nearly half a million dollars in taxpayer money to build a security fence around his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

In Mexico, Joe Biden Promotes Plan to Make it ‘Easier’ for Migrants Trying to Enter the United States as Part of ‘Greatest Migration in Human History’

President Joe Biden promoted his plan Tuesday to make it easier for migrants to come to the United States after meeting with the leaders of Mexico and Canada.

“This has been the greatest migration in human history around the world as well as in this hemisphere,” Biden said, speaking about the ongoing migration crisis after meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador during a summit in Mexico City.
But the president did not appear troubled by the volume of border crossings and migrants flooding into local communities in the United States, placing a burden on U.S. citizens and legal residents.

He spoke about his administration’s plan for new ways to allow migrants claiming asylum to sign up, get background checks, get a sponsor, and get them examined, allowing them to go directly to a port of entry to make their case.

“We’re trying to make it easier for people to get here, opening up the capacity to get here,” Biden said.

He said that the majority of migrants were fleeing the countries of Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti, and Nicaragua and that his administration would reach out to them directly to get them to sign up for admission to the United States.

He suggested his new plan would cut down the number of immigrants crossing at the Southern border using cartels and coyotes and getting victimized to make the “god-awful” trip to the United States.

“Look, right now the cartels make a lot of money, which they use for drug trafficking as well,” he said.

He complained that Republicans and even some Democrats were reluctant to work with him on immigration reform, despite a long tradition of immigration to the United States.

“All of you know, all of us in the United States are immigrants,” he said, speaking of his own Irish ancestors who came to the U.S. during the potato famine in Ireland.

The topic of the migrant workflow had not been previously discussed publicly by the Foreign Relations Ministry or the Interior Secretariat ahead of the virtual meeting between Lopez Obrador and Biden.

The issue comes as Mexican authorities see a dramatic rise in human smuggling activities as thousands of Central American migrants continue to make their way north. Mexican officials predicted a dramatic rise in migratory flows at the start of 2021 due to work shortages from the pandemic and recent natural disasters that shook Central America. Officials in Mexico did not publicly discuss the political effect that a Biden Administration would have on the matter.

Mexican authorities have found several large groups of migrants at hotels or being moved in tractor-trailers in recent weeks. Officials are also seeing a spike in ransom kidnappings where cartel-connected human smugglers hold migrants to further extort their families.

(CNSNews.com) – Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Texas) filed articles of impeachment against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday, fulfilling a promise he made last week before being sworn in.

"Since day one, Secretary Mayorkas’ policies have undermined law enforcement activities at our southern border," Fallon said in a statement last week, Fox News reports

"From perjuring himself before Congress about maintaining operational control of the border to the infamous ‘whip-gate’ slander against our border patrol agents, Secretary Mayorkas has proven time and time again that he is unfit to lead the Department of Homeland Security," he said.

"His willful actions have eroded our immigration system, undermined border patrol morale, and jeopardized American national security. He has violated the law and it is time for him to go," the congressman added.

Though no text is available for H.Res.8, Fox News reported last week that the first article of impeachment against Mayorkas says that the secretary failed to faithfully execute the “Secure the Fence Act of 2006,” which requires him to “maintain operational control over the entire international land and maritime borders of the United States.”

The second article claims that Mayorkas is “in violation of his constitutional oath, willfully provided perjurious, false, and misleading testimony to Congress." The article points to the secretary’s testimony in April 26 and Nov. 15 congressional hearings, during which he said that the border was secure.

Rep. Cuellar: Highest Percentage of Successful Asylum Cases Comes from China

(CNSNews.com) –  Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) said Tuesday that what qualifies as a legitimate asylum claim is persecution by the state based on religion or sex, not fleeing poverty and looking for a job.

In fact, he said the country with the most successful asylum cases adjudicated in the United States is China, not one of the Latin American countries.

“In fact, most of the people that are coming in for asylum, you know, they need to understand that the law under asylum means there has to be a persecution by the state based on religion, sex or one of those reasons,” the congressman told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.”

“Coming from poverty, looking for a job, that doesn't allow it, and what’s interesting, when you look at the number of successful asylum cases, you know which is the number one country that gets the highest percentage? It’s China. It’s not one of the Latin American countries, so we have to look at the asylum and make sure that we vet people before they come in and they’re asking for asylum,” he said.

Cuellar accompanied President Biden during his trip to Mexico this week, and the congressman said the Border Patrol agents he talked to felt that the president’s plan to extend the CBP One asylum app to Nicaraguan, Cuban, and Haitian migrants will work.

“Well, he did show up, which I'm glad, and on Thursday, he came out with a plan that I have talked to some of the Border Patrol agents, and they feel the plan will work. That is you provide an incentive for people that want to ask for asylum to do it the right way, and if they don't, there should be a disincentive if they come in between ports of entry, but we gotta have to have the resources to implement this correctly,” he said.

When asked whether Biden has the ear of open border activists, Cuellar said, “I think in the past they have only listened to immigration activists. You have to listen to the men and women in green and blue, and this is something the president did go down there and talk to the men and women in green and blue, but more importantly, you gotta to listen to border communities, because look, what New York is getting or Chicago, Washington is getting is only a drop -- only a drop of what we get down there to the border.

“So listening to landowners, mayors, county judges and all that, folks down there, it is important, because we don't have a single sanctuary city or county along the border, none. I've talked to so many border officials, and none of them has said just letting people in is the right way,” the congressman said.

As CNSNews.com previously reported, Rep. Tony Gonzales said he was told by the White House that he would not be invited to accompany Biden on his trip to the border, despite the fact that Gonzales represents El Paso, Texas, which is where the president visited.

Cuellar said that he doesn’t know why Gonzales was not allowed to go.

“I don't know how that decision was made to who was going. I didn't know about it til-- even myself until the very end. I can tell you about Tony. Tony Gonzalez is a friend of mine. Senator John Cornyn is a friend of mine. Those two individuals, we’ve talked many a times to try to find bipartisan ways to address this issue,” he said.

“So I will continue working with Tony in appropriations, and I certainly want to work with Senator John Cornyn and other folks, Democrats and Republicans - the ones that want to find practical solutions and not just do political messaging, and I’m talking about both the left and the right,” the congressman added.

Biden Chooses ‘Wall’ for Photo of First Border Visit — After Ending Trump’s Project

President Joe Biden tweeted an image of his first-ever border visit Sunday that featured part of the “wall,” or border fence, in El Paso, Texas — after he and his party shut down President Donald Trump’s border wall.

Biden ran in 2020 on a promise to build “not another foot” of Trump’s border project after Democrats refused to fund it in 2019 and claimed that it was motivated by racism and the desire to keep brown or black people out.

As soon as he took office, Biden halted construction of the high bollard fencing that Trump had been building along the wall — though the Biden administration later quietly filled in some gaps that had been left behind.

Yet with thousands of migrants pouring across the border daily, and millions entering the U.S., often illegally, since he took office, Biden was under pressure to visit the border for the first time in a half century of politics.

He chose to tweet an image of himself doing so — from the official presidential account — flanked by Border Patrol officers and walking along the fence that exists in El Paso, one of the most secure points on the border.

There was also an irony in Biden using Border Patrol agents as props in a photo: he has refused to apologize for claiming falsely in 2021 that agents were using whips to beat Haitian migrants. They were later exonerated.

Biden had never previously visited the border, despite false White House claims to the contrary. He was once in a motorcade that drove near the border, also in El Paso, during the 2008 presidential campaign, for a few miles.

Southern Border Visit ‘Two Years Too Late,’ Texas’s Abbott Tells Biden

Texas governor Greg Abbott (R.) told President Joe Biden that his visit Sunday to the southern border in El Paso was "$20 billion too little and two years too late."

In a letter Abbott handed to the president on the city airport's tarmac, the governor blamed Biden for the "worst illegal immigration in the history of our country," adding that Texans are paying a "high price," sometimes with their lives.

Biden received the letter after he stepped off Air Force One in El Paso, where he spent roughly three hours touring sites before heading to Mexico City for meetings.

Republicans have criticized Biden for months for failing to visit the border as it faces record levels of illegal immigration. Agents tallied 313,681 migrant encounters in December, which broke November's record-setting level. The last fiscal year saw a total of 2.4 million encounters. Four million immigrants have attempted to illegally cross into the United States since the beginning of 2021, federal data show.

Ahead of Biden's visit, El Paso police cleared out migrant camps throughout the city, where the Democratic mayor declared a state of emergency in December over homeless migrants.

"Your open-border policies have emboldened the cartels, who grow wealthy by trafficking deadly fentanyl and even human beings," Abbott said.

The governor listed several actions the Biden administration should take, including enforcing Title 42, a Trump-era policy allowing agents to turn away migrants due to the pandemic. Biden has sought to reverse the rule and the Supreme Court is set to rule on it next month.

"You must immediately resume construction of the border wall in the State of Texas, using the billions of dollars Congress has appropriated for that purpose," Abbott said.

Abbott also called for the designation of drug cartels as "foreign terrorist organizations." Former president Donald Trump said last week that if reelected he would deploy military assets to "wage war on cartels."

TX Gov. Abbott: Biden’s Immigration Policy a ‘Dog and Pony Show’ — ‘Not Enforcing Current Laws’

1:42

Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) said Monday on FNC’s “The Faulkner Focus” that President Joe Biden’s immigration policy was a “dog and pony show.”

Discussing his meeting with Biden during the president’s visit to the U.S.-Mexico border, Abbott said, “These points that I laid out about ending catch and release, about detaining people who were coming across the border illegally and turning back across the border people who are coming across illegally, all of those are things the President and the United States already have the legal authority to do, and they are not doing. Until they step up and start doing this, all these other things they are doing is nothing more than a dog and pony show, and it’s not going to stop anybody from coming across the border illegally.”

Faulkner said, “When you hear talk like this and knowing you took the facts to the president, it is doubly, doubly confounding, and just really hurtful for the nation to know that things could have been taking place that wouldn’t have even required new legislation. So the big question becomes, why didn’t they do it?”

He added, “The only reason why we have these people coming across the border like we do is because both the Homeland Security secretary and the president are not enforcing current laws. They claim that Republicans need to work with them. I have outlined what they need to do as a starting point to begin to secure the border. Any suggestion by either Secretary Mayorkas or the president that Republicans are not working with them is just flat-out false. I have given them tangible ideas where they can secure the border.”

Texas Governor Greg Abbott met President Joe Biden at the El Paso Airport and handed him a scathing letter regarding the growing border crisis. Biden landed in El Paso for a brief visit before heading to Mexico City.

Abbott wrote, “Your visit to our southern border with

Mexico today is $20 billion too little and two years too

late. Moreover, your visit avoids the sites where mass

illegal immigration occurs and sidesteps the

thousands of angry Texas property owners whose

lives have been destroyed by your border policies.”

“This chaos is the direct result of your failure to enforce the immigration laws that Congress enacted,” the Texas governor continued. “Your open-border policies have emboldened the cartels, who grow wealthy by trafficking deadly fentanyl and even human beings.”

Biden arrived in El Paso on Sunday for his first-ever visit to the Texas-Mexico border. While the El Paso Sector is currently the busiest of the nine southwest border sectors, the president was not able to see much of the chaos and inhumanity created by his border security and immigration policies. In the days leading up to the presidential border visit, Border Patrol agents and El Paso police created a Potemkin village of sorts by rounding up migrants who camped on the streets in freezing conditions after Biden administration policies prohibited them from entering federally funded shelters.

In the letter to the president, Abbott accused Biden of violating his “constitutional obligation to defend the States against invasion through faithful execution of federal laws.”

Abbott’s scathing comments to the president continued:

Halfway through your presidency, though, I can finally welcome you to the border. When you finish the photo-ops in a carefully stage-managed version of El Paso, you have a job to do:

  • You must comply with the many statutes mandating that various categories of aliens “shall” be detained, and end the practice of unlawfully paroling aliens en masse.
  • You must stop sandbagging the implementation of the Remain-in-Mexico policy and Title 42 expulsions, and fully enforce those measures as the federal courts have ordered you to do.
  • You must aggressively prosecute illegal entry between ports of entry, and allow ICE to remove illegal immigrants in accordance with existing federal laws.
  • You must immediately resume construction of the border wall in the State of Texas, using the billions of dollars Congress has appropriated for that purpose.
  • You must designate the Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

When asked by reporters in El Paso about President Biden’s reaction to their conversation on the tarmac, the governor responded, “He said he wanted to work with us on it.”

Cornyn: Mexico Becoming a ‘Failed State’ on Our Southern Border

1:21

Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) said Tuesday on FNC’s “America’s Newsroom” that Mexico is becoming a “failed state” on our southern border.

Anchor Dana Perino asked, “What can our president do to put pressure on the Mexican president to do his job?”

Cornyn said, “We’ve talked a lot about failed states like Afghanistan overseas. We have a failed state, I believe, on our southern border. President López Obrador, there has waved a white flag when it comes to the cartels. As you pointed out, they continue to get rich, smuggling people and drugs into the United States, drugs that took the lives of 108,000 Americans last year alone. I don’t think they’ve been a responsible partner. Basically, President López Obrador said our American agents who were there to try to help them control the flow of people and drugs are no longer welcome in that country. So I’m increasingly concerned is becoming essentially a failed state on our southern border.”

He added, “We need to stop with the current crisis at the border, and then maybe we can have a more rational conversation what comes next. This has been the stumbling point with our Democratic colleagues and White House.”

 GAMER LAWYER JOE BIDEN

Biden Creates a “Shadow” Immigration System
Washington, D.C. (January 5, 2023) - After ignoring the border crisis for two years, today the Biden administration announced new border policies which includes minor changes to tactics, but no change to long-term strategy.

The administration is expanding its unlawful use of immigration “parole” to admit and give work permits to 30,000 people a month (360,000 a year) from Venezuela, Haiti, Cuba, and Nicaragua. At the same time, people from these countries who enter between ports of entry will be returned to Mexico, which has agreed to take back up to 30,000 illegal border-crossers a month from those countries. There is no mention of what will happen if the number exceeds 30,000. The Center exposed the development of this program back in November.

CIS Executive Director Mark Krikorian said, “This is merely political damage control. The Biden administration continues to push ‘safe, orderly, and humane processing’ of migrants with no right to enter the U.S., instead of deterring them from trying to come in the first place.”

George Fishman, a Senior Legal Fellow at the Center, said, “President Biden is taking his perversion of the immigration ‘parole’ power to a new low. He is literally pushing the Constitution's separation of powers into the gutter by creating a shadow immigration system totally divorced from the will of Congress and the American people. He plans to proudly parole into the U.S. up to 360,000 otherwise illegal aliens a year with no basis in law, and we know that they will never leave.”

Elizabeth Jacobs, the Center’s director of regulatory affairs and policy, comments, “The Biden administration must close loopholes in the asylum system in order to properly address the border crisis. As long as the administration continues to skirt mandatory detention laws and abuse its parole authority, not much will change.”

"The newly elected president, Andrés López-Obrador, was gleeful during the election when he told his compadres they should all move to America, illegally.  His encouragement along with his pro-poverty policies will set the stage for another tsunami of illegal immigration." COLIN FLAHERTY

"They will destroy America from within.  The leftist billionaires who orchestrate these plans are wealthy. Those tasked with representing us in Congress will never be exposed to the cost of the invasion. They have nothing but contempt for us who must endure the consequences of our communities being intruded upon by gangs, drug dealers and human traffickers.  These people have no intention of becoming Americans; like the Democrats who welcome them, they have contempt for us."                                                                                    PATRICIA McCARTHY

The immigration debate has been raging for years.  Advocates for open borders can be found on both sides of the political aisle and in a wide variety of special interest groups who have come to see the immigration system that delivers an unlimited supply of cheap and exploitable labor, an unlimited supply of foreign tourists, and unlimited supply of foreign students and, for the lawyers, an unlimited supply of clients. THE NEXT MEXICAN INVASION IS AT HAND:

"Mexican president candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador called for mass immigration to the United States, declaring it a "human right". We will defend all the (Mexican) invaders in the American," Obrador said, adding that immigrants "must leave their towns and find a life, job, welfare, and free medical in the United States."

"Fox’s Tucker Carlson noted Thursday that Obrador has previously proposed granting AMNESTY TO MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS. “America is now Mexico’s social safety net, and that’s a very good deal for the Mexican ruling class,” Carlson added."

"Many Americans forget is that our country is located against a socialist failed state that is promising to descend even further into chaos – not California, the other one. And the Mexicans, having reached the bottom of the hole they have dug for themselves, just chose to keep digging by electing a new leftist presidente who wants to surrender to the cartels and who thinks that Mexicans have some sort of “human right” to sneak into the U.S. and demographically reconquer it."

Mexico: Where Is Your Shame?

At a demonstration Wednesday in Mexico City against Arizona's law.

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Immigration: Mexico's government gloated triumphantly after a federal judge's injunction blocked Arizona's immigration law. But it's no victory for Mexico. In fact, Mexico's leaders ought to be mortified.

As radical immigration activists crowed with glee and the Obama administration claimed victory, Mexico's government joined the applause.

Calling Judge Susan Bolton's injunction Wednesday "a step in the right direction," Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa declared: "The government of Mexico would like to express its recognition for the determination demonstrated by the federal government of the United States and the actions of the civil organizations that organized lawsuits against the SB 1070 law."

In reality, it ought to be ashamed. Supposedly framed as an issue of federal power pre-empting state power, it's hardly Mexico's business. But Mexico made a big show of saying its interest was in protecting its nationals from the dreadful racism of Arizona that its own citizens, curiously enough, keep fleeing to.

Espinosa said her government was busy collecting data on civil rights violations and her department had issued an all-out travel warning to Mexican nationals about Arizona.

That's where Mexico's hypocrisy is just too much.

First, Mexico encourages illegal immigration to the U.S. Oh, it says it doesn't, but it prints comic book guides for would-be illegal immigrants and provides ID cards for illegals once they get here. In Arizona alone, Mexico keeps five consulates busy.

That's not out of love for its own citizens, but because Mexicans send cash back to Mexico that helps finance the government.

Instead of selling its wasteful state-owned oil company or getting rid of red tape to create jobs in Mexico, Mexico spends the hard currency from remittances. It fails to look at why its citizens leave.

According to the Heritage Foundation-Wall Street Journal 2010 Index of Economic Freedom, Mexico's big problem is — no shock — government corruption, where it ranks below the world average.

That's where Mexico's cartels come in.

Mexico's encouragement of illegal immigration undercuts its valiant war against its smuggling cartels. The cartels' prowess and firepower have made them the only ones who can smuggle effectively across the border. U.S. law enforcers say they now control human-smuggling on our southern border.

Feed them immigrants and they grow more cash-rich — and right now, immigrant smuggling is about a third of the cartels' income.

Mass graves and car bombings are signs of criminal organizations getting bigger, and more powerful. Juarez, which has lost 5,000 people this year, bleeds because cartels fight over not just who gets the drug routes, but who gets the illegal-immigrant smuggling routes, too.

Aside from the cartel mayhem in Mexico, the bodies are piling up in the Arizona desert and U.S. Border Patrol rescues of abandoned illegals left to die have risen.

It's not the desert's fault, and it's certainly not Uncle Sam's fault, as activists claim. No, it's the fact that Mexicans are encouraged to emigrate. Criminal cartels don't fear abandoning their human cargo in the desert, as long as Mexico does nothing and blames Uncle Sam.

Hearing Mexico's government now cheer the Arizona ruling, which will only encourage more illegal immigration, gives the country's regime a pretty inhuman face.

If Mexico had any decency, it would do all it could to discourage illegal immigration and keep a respectful silence about Arizona.

It needs U.S. support for its war on cartels. Instead of insulting American citizens, Mexico should confront directly the reasons why its people are so desperate to leave, and do all in its power to destroy the cartels that are slowly killing the nation. That includes defunding the murderous gangs by halting illegal immigration.

WHAT DOES MEXICO DO WITH THEIR OWN ILLEGALS???

THEY DEPORT THEM ON THE SPOT!!!

The kind of Mexico I remember

 https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/07/the_kind_of_mexico_i_remember.html

By Silvio Canto, Jr.

Over the last year, I've posted here that many of my friends in Mexico were shocked with their country's tolerance of illegal immigration.

In other words, the Mexico that I remember was brutal, and I mean brutal, with anyone crossing its southern border.

Often, Central Americans have pointed out that they were scared to death crossing Mexico.  I recall a young woman who said she and her friends were sure that they'd be raped crossing Mexico.  Thankfully, this group of young women were not, but their fears were legitimate.

Here comes a poll from south of the border, a joint venture between the Washington Post and Reforma from Mexico City:

More than 6 in 10 Mexicans say migrants are a burden on their country because they take jobs and benefits that should belong to Mexicans.

A 55 percent majority supports deporting migrants who travel through Mexico to reach the United States.

Those findings defy the perception that Mexico — a country that has sent millions of its own migrants to the United States, sending billions of dollars in remittances — is sympathetic to the surge of Central Americans.

Instead, the data suggests Mexicans have turned against the migrants transiting through their own country, expressing antipathy that would be familiar to many supporters of President Trump north of the border.

Who knew that MAGA is now MMGA, or Make Mexico Great Again?

The results of this poll are not surprising to any of us who know the country.  In my case, I worked with a U.S. company in Mexico City years ago.

Mexicans have often told me they need to send their people north, and Central Americans would only compete with them up there.  It's sort of as if it's okay for us and not for them!

So here we are.  After a few caravans, Central Americans are seeing the Mexico that we've known all these years.

A DACA amnesty would put more citizen children of illegal aliens — known as “anchor babies” — on federal welfare, as Breitbart News reported, while American taxpayers would be left potentially with a $26 billion bill.

Additionally, about one-in-five DACA illegal aliens, after an amnesty, would end up on food stamps, while at least one-in-seven would go on Medicaid. JOHN BINDER

Mexican Ambassador: Let’s Restart Mass Migration into U.S.  Images

NEIL MUNRO

The United States should reopen itself to migration, amnesties, refugee inflows, asylum seekers, and more temporary contract workers, Mexico’s ambassador to the United States said Tuesday.

BLOG EDITOR: IS IT TIME FOR MEXICO TO DO MORE FOR THEIR PEOPLE THAN EXPORT THEM TO LOOT AMERICA AND THEN VOTE DEM FOR MORE?

The U.S. immigration system “has to be based on facts and realities,” Ambassador Martha Bárcena Coqui told a forum arranged by the National Immigration Forum (NIF). She continued: ‘The facts and realities is the need to protect the most vulnerable, the need to keep open the generosity towards refugees, the need to recognize the complementarity of labor markets and demographic profiles, the need for temporary workers in the United States.”

The United States should not view migration as a security threat, she said, adding, “If you conceptualize migration as a national security issue, if you [push for] securitization of migration, and what is even worse, if you criminalize migration, then your approach always be policing, contentious [and] reduction of migration. So what we need is really to conceptualize migration …  as an economic and social and political phenomena.”

“With all due respect to Madam Ambassador, she should mind her own country’s business, not ours,” responded Mark Krikorian, the director of the Center for Immigration Studies.

“The Mexican ambassador is going to tell us what is in the best interest of Mexico,” responded Rosemary Jenks, policy director at NumbersUSA. “But that doesn’t mean we have to do it — we have to do what’s in the best interest of the United States. of American, of Americans and legal immigrants,” she told Breitbart News, adding:

You know we have the pandemic still raging, we have economic lockdowns still going on, we have unemployment way too high. We have underemployment way too high. We have American citizens hurting. We absolutely do not need to reopen mass immigration — and certainly don’t need to give amnesty and taxpayer benefits to people who came here illegally. If Mexico thinks its plan is to just open up its own southern borders in the hopes that America will open our southern borders, that’s just going to reignite the caravans. I hope that the Biden administration is planning for that because that’s not going to go well, and 2022 is not going to go well for Democrats.

More migrants are coming, the ambassador said, even though the coronavirus crash has blocked the northward flow for the moment:

The root causes of these migrations have [not] disappeared. On the contrary, we are seeing pent up, building pressure. People cannot move now because of the restrictions on movement because of the pandemic. But the root causes are still there, [for example], the drought in Central America  … a hurricane in Nicaragua and Honduras that have totally flooded Honduras.

The United States should amnesty many illegal migrants from all over the world, she said, and also import more migrants by accepting asylum applications at U.S. embassies, so the world’s migrants will not have to travel through Mexico. “What we would like to see, of course, is that the U.S. embassies in Central America could process even more of these requests for asylum, instead of having people crossing through Mexico and asking for asylum at the border.”

The ambassador was invited to speak by the NIF, which is a business-funded activist group that promotes cheap labor migration into jobs needed by lower-skilled Americans and by legal immigrants, and also into jobs that can be automated.

Roughly three million migrants have flooded over the southern border since the rules were loosened by Congress in 2008 and by President Barack Obama’s deputies in 2011. Trump stopped the flow in 2020, but few of the migrants — or of roughly 300,000 younger “Unaccompanied Alien Children” — have been sent home because they are being protected by pro-migrant immigration lawyers, by pro-diversity progressives, and cheap labor employers in sanctuary cities.

The Mexican government must help poor migrants travel to the U.S. border, says Mexican immigrant and Univision anchor Jorge Ramos. https://t.co/kHHU9ckxPG

The flood of cheap labor that is being promoted by the ambassador would be a disaster for Americans, Jenks said. “They would absolutely destroy the employment opportunities for lower-skilled Americans, particularly for minorities and legal immigrants. It would reduce wages among the people who can least afford reduced wages and put downward pressure on everyone else’s wages. The people who would benefit from it, of course, would be the elites who can hire nannies, maids, and housekeepers, and who go stay at resorts and so on, while the rest of us suffer.”

The ambassador’s statement, Krikorian told Breitbart News, “suggests that the [President Donald] Trump really was getting Mexico to change its behavior [after 2018] and that once Trump is gone, the Mexican approach these issues will revert to form, and they will again usher large numbers of third-country illegal aliens into our country.”

But if Mexico is concerned about the migrants coming up from the South, it can take its own defense measures, said Krikorian.

“As far as refugees and asylees go, Mexico is a signatory to the U.N. Convention on these issues. Mexico is about half the population, maybe a little less, of the United States. It doesn’t take a nearly proportionate number of asylum seekers or refugees [as the United States. So, “Physician, heal thyself,” would be my first response.”

Also, Krikorian added, the ambassador may be overstating the view of the Mexican government. “Whatever the ambassador said, it is an open question whether Mexico will truly open the floodgates again. The country has its own interest in limiting this transit migration because Mexican citizens are getting sick of the migrations. And many of these people end up staying anyway, applying for asylum in Mexico, or just hanging around illegally, and that undermines the job prospects of Mexicans in the same way that it can undermine Americans’ job prospects.”

“The United States is a sovereign nation that should and can have complete control over its borders,” said Jenks. “Regardless of what our neighbors may think, our government owes it to the American people to have an immigration system that benefits America. Period. Full stop.”

It was a very good dialogue on the current situation and a way forward. Thanks to @mcbelz @DMiliband and you @anoorani for the invitation. #LTW2020 https://t.co/rm6jNBryZj

Overall, open-ended migration is praised by business and progressives partly because migrants help transfer massive wealth from American wage-earners to stockholders.

Migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.

Migration also allows investors and CEOs to skimp on labor-saving technology, sideline U.S. minorities, ignore disabled peopleexploit stoop labor in the fields, shortchange labor in the cities, impose tight control and pay cuts on American professionals, corral technological innovation by minimizing the employment of American graduates, undermine labor rights, and redirect progressive journalists to cheerlead for Wall Street’s priorities and claims.

Mexico’s President Says Biden Responsible for Migrant Surge at Border

Expectations created by President Joe Biden about better treatment for migrants led to the current border surge, said Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO).

During his daily news conference, AMLO spoke about the ongoing border crisis and said the increase in migrants entering Mexico and heading to the U.S. is partly due to the expectations created by President Biden.

AMLO: “Expectations were created that with the Government of President Biden there would be a better treatment of migrants. And this has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, wanting to cross the border thinking that it is easier to do so” pic.twitter.com/TNrZQamuWK

“Expectations were created that with the Government of President Biden there would be a better treatment of migrants. And this has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, wanting to cross the border thinking that it is easier to do so,” AMLO said.

The statements come one day after Mexico’s military confirmed the deployment of 8,700 soldiers to curb the growing number of migrants traveling through the country.

Mexico’s president says he will share with President Joe Biden his willingness to find a way to legalize the flow of migrants from Central America and Mexico as a way to meet American labor needs.

“I have a teleconference with Biden on Monday and we are going to talk about that topic,” President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) said this weekend during one of his news conferences. “Let’s fix the migratory flow, legalizing it, to give guarantees to the workers so they don’t risk their lives, and that their human rights are protected.”

During the conference, AMLO said the U.S. would need about 600,000 to 800,000 laborers per year for economic growth. The Mexican politician brought up the Bracero program when the U.S. provided migrant farmworkers with permits during World War II.
