Mark Levin’s latest book, The Democrat Party Hates America, rose to the number one spot on Amazon’s list of best sellers just days from its release next week.

The book surpassed high-profile writers for the number one spot, including Oprah’s latest self-help book, a new novel from Stephen King, and Walter Isaacson’s buzzy biography of Elon Musk.

Levin told Breitbart News in an exclusive comment, “This book is like none I’ve written and none anyone has read. The Democrat Party is an autocratic party that has never embraced Americanism. And today it’s destroying our culture, Constitution, voting system, educational system, citizenship, law and order, and more. It is an evil and poisonous party and always has been. I unravel all the lies and propaganda Americans have been fed by the party’s press and surrogates for more than a century. And it’s leading a revolution to fundamentally transform our country into a one-party tyranny.”

In The Democrat Party Hates America, Levin reveals “the radically dangerous Democrat agenda that is upending American life,” according to the book’s description.

“Insightful and hard-hitting as ever, Levin proves that since its establishment, the Democrat Party has set out to rewrite history and destroy the foundation of freedom in America,” the description continues. “More than a political party, it is the entity through which Marxism has installed its philosophy and its new revolution.”

“Every legal, legitimate, and appropriate tool and method must be employed in the short-and long-run to defeat the Democrat Party,” Levin writes, according to an excerpt from the book. “The Democrat Party must be resoundingly conquered in the next election and several elections thereafter, or it will become extremely difficult to undo the damage it is unleashing at breakneck pace.”

The book will be released on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

In July of this year, Target informed the book’s publisher it would not carry the title in its stores. Levin then urged his supporters to preorder the book to defy the “corporatist leftwing censorship.”

“Target has informed my publisher, Simon & Schuster, that it will not carry my new book when it is released on September 19. It claims that certain customers might be offended by the title. Imagine that! So, the corporatist leftwing censorship begins,” Levin wrote.

“Let’s send a big message and drive pre-order sales way up on Amazon’s list,” Levin added.

One of life’s pleasures is watching liberalism destroy itself. Maybe that’s mean, but honestly, after all the damage the left has done to the country, I find it increasingly difficult to give a damn when one of the monsters they’ve unleashed on the country returns to destroy their castle. I rather enjoy it, actually. 

 In this case, I’m talking about the illegal alien invasion happening at our southern border. Far too many “conservative news” outlets refuse to call it that, opting instead to roll with the words the left have bastardized – calling illegals “migrants.” They aren’t migrants – migrants migrate, meaning they come and go, for whatever reason (food, seasons, work, etc.). These illegal aliens aren’t going anywhere, at least voluntarily, ever. They need to be forcibly removed – deported – and Joe Biden is not the man who’s going to do that. He’s the one who started this idiotic, destructive game of red rover with the world through Mexico, he simply does not care about the devastation in his wake – he’ll be long-dead by the time the real price is known, unless he’s replaced by someone who actually cares about Americans.

There isn’t a Democrat in the country who can be described as someone who cares about Americans more than illegal aliens. Not one.

That’s what makes it all the more sweeter now that we’re seeing liberal cities and states suffer the economic pain they happily supported being forced on conservative areas along the border. 

Remember when these people insisted illegals were the economic engine driving the country? That’s been the standard left-wing lie, er, line for a decade. They were better than horrible Americans, worked harder, contributed more to society (even though, thanks to language barriers and illiteracy even in their native tongues, they weren’t able to participate in it), and committed fewer crimes than we awful Americans.

That’s now been exposed for the lie it is, as Democrat after Democrat whine and complain about the costs associated with a relatively small number of illegals compared to what their “progressive” open borders policies force border towns to endure on a weekly basis.

If illegals were so wonderful, New York City, Chicago, etc., wouldn’t be whining about the strain on their social services, they’d be counting the increased tax revenue and begging for more to be sent to their areas. 

But everything Democrats have said about illegal aliens has been a lie. They aren’t an economic plus, they’re a disaster. To the extent they pay taxes (and don’t work under the table), it amounts to a drop in the bucket compared to cost of social programs they Hoover up like Hunter Biden in a room full of cocaine-covered hookers. Their kids cost a fortune to educate because they know no English and can’t even read in their own language. American children suffer, but no Democrat gives a damn.

Now New York is pleading for mercy. After a year of illegals flooding the city, still amounting to a fraction of their population and about half of what Texas experiences monthly, they’re going broke. That boost the economy hasn’t materialized, just a bunch of working age men not working, but drinking themselves into a stupor in the city’s expensive hotels while wasting food the city buys for them. The only growth industries surrounding these illegals are prostitution and drugs. 

Crimes skyrocketed and Americans suffered. Democrats said nothing because they don’t care, they want the potential future voters. 

But the money, oh the money. New York City Mayor Eric Adams now says these illegals “will destroy New York City.” Good, and good riddance. 

That the financial hub of the world, with a population of more than 8 million, can be crippled to the point of bankruptcy by just over 100,000 illegals over a year is a testament to the lies liberals tell. 

So, let New York die. Let Chicago die. New Jersey, Massachusetts, everywhere these sanctuary leftists rule and are currently choking on what they’ve supported imposing on others, let them collapse. And enjoy the view as it happens. 

This is what these Democrats voted for, at least when it was impacting only red areas along the border. Well, to quote the great John McClane from when he saved Nakatomi Tower from a different terrorist invasion, “Welcome to the party, pal.” They loved to virtue signal to their friends about how enlightened they were compared to those racist rednecks complaining of invasion. Now that they have to step over sleeping junkies and bodily waste to just go to the grocery store or take their kid to school, it’s different. It impacts them now. And they want it to stop.

They don’t want the invasion to be stopped and the border secured, they want it to stop impacting them, that’s all. They’re better than everyone else, they’re progressive! Send these troubles back to the great unwashed, suckers who live in buildings without a doorman where zero members of the chardonnay club have any kids currently transitioning, or even a chardonnay club to begin with. 

No thank you. Let these cities choke to death on their compassion by proxy attitude, and just sit back and enjoy the view. I will. 

Try the reality that illegal immigrants are routinely given free public housing by the U.S., based on the fact that they are uneducated, unskilled, and largely unemployable. Those are the criteria, and now importing poverty has never been easier. Shockingly, this comes as millions of poor Americans are out in the cold awaiting that housing that the original law was intended to help.

Thus, the tent cities, and by coincidence, the worst of these emerging shantytowns are in blue sanctuary cities loaded with illegal immigrants - Orange County, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, New York...Is there a connection? At a minimum, it's worth looking at.   MONICA SHOWALTER

Whether it’s New York City or Martha’s Vineyard, no place actually wants to be a sanctuary city.

New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams warns that the tidal flood of illegal alien migrant invaders could destroy the city.

Chicago’s woke pro-crime Mayor Brandon Johnson warned, “Let me state this clearly: The city of Chicago cannot go on welcoming new arrivals safely and capably without significant support and immigration policy changes.”

And Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass lives in fear that the invaders will show up.

“What they’re trying to do is destabilize cities … it’s the narrative that these are Democratic-run cities and that we don’t know how to govern and that everything is chaotic here,” Bass told Axios’ Russell Contreras during Axios Visionarios in Los Angeles.

“We live in a city that welcomes immigrants, and so I think we have been able to handle it, but I am fearful that any day planes could start coming.”

The idea that LA or NYC is a mess because of some Republican conspiracy to destabilize cities is an interesting narrative.

Is this what they’re going with as their excuse?

We have homeless everywhere, out of control crime, and medieval diseases… because Republicans are trying to make us look bad?

Busing in illegal aliens is at least one thing that Bass and her ilk can somewhat blame Republicans for, but Bass is actually worried about ‘planes’. And the vast majority of illegals showing up are not being sent by Republicans. The Biden administration chose to keep the border open and to then transport illegals around the country. That’s not on Republicans, it’s on her party.

Racist Mayor: Los Angeles’ Karen Bass

The racist radical's career was built on two race riots.

Several months before Karen Bass left Congress to run for mayor, she blamed black disinterest in getting vaccinated on white people stealing all their vaccines. ”Individuals from other parts of the community who are white are coming into inner city areas they probably have never been in before seeking vaccines,” the racist politician claimed.

In Mayor Karen Bass’ world, when white people get shots they’re stealing them from black people. Every black problem can ultimately be blamed on white people. Even when black officers beat a black man, it’s because they’re a bunch of racists.

When Tyre Nichols was fatally beaten by five black officers during a traffic stop gone wrong, Bass could only focus on the white people who weren’t there. “Even with the black officers, I wonder how they would have reacted if it was a young white person?” she mused.

When Bass isn’t attacking white people based on race, she’s also attacking black people by denying their race. On Al Sharpton’s MSNBC show, Bass claimed that Justice Clarence Thomas was not an “African-American voice”, and argued that Larry Elder also wasn’t really black.

“We can’t get confused by Larry Elder,” Bass claimed. “I don’t care what Larry Elder looks like.”

When Biden considered Bass as his veep and then before her mayoral run, the media launched an effort to obscure her extremism and make her seem like just another urban politician.

But Bass allegedly began her career with ties to the Black Panthers and Maoists before becoming a community organizer. “If she’s an L.A. Black Panther – that was Geronimo Pratt territory,” David Horowitz had observed. “They were a street gang – the L.A. Panthers. And they were led by a lunatic named Geronimo Pratt.”

The Los Angeles mayor has since claimed that she began her activism in 1973 as part of the Campaign Against Police Abuse. “If you were going to be an activist in Los Angeles in 1973, you had to be involved in police abuse because the police were always abusing us,” she claimed, alleging that the police had broken into her house and vandalized her car.

That was also the year she visited Castro’s Cuba as part of the Venceremos Brigade: a Cuban Communist front group. The leftist political elite that would rule Los Angeles was coming into being around alliances between white Communists, the Black Panthers and the Young Lords. The smarter black and Latino nationalists like Bass became community organizers. It was then that Bass met close ally, future Los Angeles mayor and fellow ‘Brigadist’ Antonio Villaraigosa. It was Villaraigosa whose backing first got Bass into the State Assembly and to whom she owes much of her subsequent political career including taking over his old job.

That two out of three members of a Cuban Communist front group have been running Los Angeles since 2005 testifies to how successful the seventies radical coalition has been.

As a community organizer, Rep. Bass described the burning of Korean stores during the L.A. race riots as a happy event. “Like a miracle, a large chunk of the stores we wanted to close were burned to the ground,” the city’s future mayor had gushed.

“If people burned down those stores, they must have been unhappy with them,” she suggested.

The L.A. race riots provided Bass with a national platform. The media was eager to interview local activists and politicians were seeking answers about how to stop the violence. While Rodney King and countless Asian store owners suffered, Bass benefited enormously.

“This is a terrible thing to say. We all felt bad for his beating. But we cheered the fact that it was finally documented,” Bass mused in  ‘Burn, Motherf****r, Burn!’, a recent documentary, while watching footage of the beating.

“We need to figure out how to rebuild this city with quality and turn tragedy into opportunity,” she suggested at the time.

Historical revisionism is second nature to Bass and a decade ago she had taken to describing the race riots as a “rainbow uprising” and “a multiracial affair that involved whites, African Americans, Latinos and Koreans in the violence.”

The BLM riots in 2020 provided Bass with another opportunity.  “If I didn’t do this now, if I didn’t push as hard as I possibly could, I would live to regret it, because you never know when these moments are going to come,” she suggested while pushing her anti-police bill.

Much as the L.A. riots helped move Bass into political office, the BLM riots let her make the leap from congress to running the city. Like most mayors, Bass has promised to fix public safety, but her idea has been to replace police officers with social workers when responding to some calls.

In 2020, her office co-sponsored a briefing on “Black Lives Matter: Social Work and the Future of Policing” at which a brief claimed that “policing is a core institution of white supremacy.”

Bass’ career began with claims of racism and has reached its peak with more of the same.

And despite more recent claims to be a uniter and a peacemaker, she has never left her radical causes behind that allegedly go back to ties with the racist Black Panther hate group.

In 2016, Micah X. Johnson, a Black Lives Matter supporter, set out to murder white police officers. He succeeded in killing 5 of them. This racist attack was one of a series of violent assaults on law enforcement officers by black nationalists. Next year the FBI issued a report warning about what it called “Black Identity Extremists” targeting police officers. It listed Johnson alongside a number of other black nationalists, separatists and supremacist attackers.

Bass took the lead in demanding that the report be suppressed. “If we don’t get them to publicly retract it, denounce it and send out clarification, we can still de-legitimize it,” she urged.

“Could you name an African-American organization that has committed violence against police officers? Can you name one today that has targeted police officers in a violent manner?” she demanded to know despite a long history of such behavior from black nationalist groups.

Bass appeared to have forgotten not only about the Black Panthers, including branches such as the Black Liberation Army, responsible for the murder of at least 5 police officers, not to mention contemporary supremacist groups like those in the Black Lives Matter movement.

The racist violence that Bass had denied existed would arrive 2 years later: destroying neighborhoods and wrecking lives. LAPD officers were among the more than 2,000 officers assaulted nationwide by the black nationalists whose hatred Bass had tried to cover up. In the year of BLM, LAPD officers were assaulted 1,172 times: nearly double that of 2019. Over a hundred of those officially occurred during the violent riots she had described as “peaceful”.

Bass labeled the existence of the racist violence as “misinformation on particular networks that have basically lied about what happened over the protests–you know the majority of the protests were peaceful. They’ve only focused in on the ones where there was looting and rioting, and so that–and then they have demonized the Black Lives Matter movement.”

Race riots once again created an opportunity for Bass to rise while a city mourned.

The Los Angeles that Mayor Karen Bass rules over is a shadow of its former self. Overrun by legalized crime, people are fleeing in droves even as she promises to have the answer.

And her answer is a familiar one that dates back to her early anti-police activism.

A year after the riots, Bass told the Washington Post that she was worried about crime and violence, not about the victims, but that their existence would sideline her pro-crime agenda.

“I’m worried about the spoke in crime and violence that we’re seeing becoming an excuse to say, ‘No, we don’t need reforms. We need more police,’” she complained. “I have my fingers crossed that this time, we will not make that mistake: “Let’s pass more laws. Let’s incarcerate more people. Let’s have more police.’”

That does not bode well for public safety in Los Angeles. When Bass talks about public safety, she does it in terms of accusing the country she lives in of being a racist oppressive system.

Bass said that she was very happy to see “so much discussion has happened around systemic racism” and the “openness to examining our history, to examining the institutions of society, and for looking at where policing fits in there.” While Mayor Karen Bass wants to “examine” America’s history, it’s important to examine her history and understand how a racist came to take power in one of the greatest cities in the world.

Karen Bass’ career was bookended by two race riots. How long until there will be a third?

In a filthy alley behind a Los Angeles doughnut shop, Ryan Smith convulsed in the grips of a fentanyl high — lurching from moments of slumber to bouts of violent shivering on a warm summer day.

When Brandice Josey, another homeless addict, bent down and blew a puff of fentanyl smoke his way in an act of charity, Smith sat up and slowly opened his lip to inhale the vapor as if it was the cure to his problems.

Smith, wearing a grimy yellow T-shirt that said "Good Vibes Only," reclined on his backpack and dozed the rest of the afternoon on the asphalt, unperturbed by the stench of rotting food and human waste that permeated the air.

For too many people strung out on the drug, the sleep that follows a fentanyl hit is permanent. The highly addictive and potentially lethal drug has become a scourge across America and is taking a toll on the growing number of people living on the streets of Los Angeles.

Nearly 2,000 homeless people died in the city from April 2020 to March 2021, a 56% increase from the previous year, according to a report released by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Overdose was the leading cause of death, killing more than 700.

Fentanyl was developed to treat intense pain from ailments like cancer. Use of fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid that is cheap to produce and is often sold as is or laced in other drugs, has exploded. Because it's 50 times more potent than heroin, even a small dose can be fatal.

It has quickly become the deadliest drug in the nation, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration. Two-thirds of the 107,000 overdose deaths in 2021 were attributed to synthetic opioids like fentanyl, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

The drug's toll spreads far beyond the streets.

Jennifer Catano, 27, has the names of two children tattooed on her wrists, but she hasn't seen them for several years. They live with her mother.

"My mom doesn't think it's a good idea because she thinks it's gonna hurt the kids because I'm not ready to get rehabilitated," Catano said.

She has overdosed three times and been through rehab seven or eight times.

"It's scary to get off of it," she said. "The withdrawals are really bad."

Catano wandered around a subway station near MacArthur Park desperate to sell a bottle of Downy fabric softener and a Coleman camping chair she stole from a nearby store.

Drug abuse can be a cause or symptom of homelessness. Both can also intersect with mental illness.

A 2019 report by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority found about a quarter of all homeless adults in Los Angeles County had mental illnesses and 14% had a substance use disorder. That analysis only counted people who had a permanent or long-term severe condition. Taking a broader interpretation of the same data, the Los Angeles Times found about 51% had mental illnesses and 46% had substance use disorders.

Billions of dollars are being spent to alleviate homelessness in California but treatment is not always funded.

A controversial bill signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom could improve that by forcing people suffering from severe mental illness into treatment. But they need to be diagnosed with a certain disorder such as schizophrenia and addiction alone doesn't qualify.

Help is available but it is outpaced by the magnitude of misery on the streets.

Rita Richardson, a field supervisor with LA Door, a city addiction-prevention program that works with people convicted of misdemeanors, hands out socks, water, condoms, snacks, clean needles and flyers at the same hotspots Monday through Friday. She hopes the consistency of her visits will encourage people to get help.

"Then hopefully the light bulb comes on. It might not happen this year. It might not happen next year. It might take several years," said Richardson, a former homeless addict. "My goal is to take them from the dark to the light."

Parts of Los Angeles have become scenes of desperation with men and women sprawled on sidewalks, curled up on benches and collapsed in squalid alleys. Some huddle up smoking the drug, others inject it.

Armando Rivera, 33, blew out white puffs to attract addicts in the alley where Smith was sleeping. He needed to sell some dope to buy more. Those without enough money to support their habit, hovered around him, hoping for a free hit. Rivera showed no mercy.

Catano couldn't sell the chair, but eventually she sold the fabric softener to a street vendor for $5.

It was enough money for another high.

 

Gavin Newsom, Local Lawmakers Argue over Responsibility of Homelessness in California

California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom and local lawmakers argue over who should be responsible for the homelessness plaguing the state, as the governor threatened to withhold funds from those who dispute liability, according to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

The Democrat governor and local government officials, including many from his own political party, are arguing over the responsibility for the lack of progress in battling the ongoing homelessness problem across America’s most populated state.

The report explained that Newsom recently placed a temporary hold on $1 billion of state grants that were meant for city and county homelessness programs as he rejected the proposals from the officials that outlined how they would spend the money. He said the proposal was inadequate, even though it would have reportedly reduced homelessness statewide by two percent from 2020 to 2024.

WSJ added:

People who work in state politics say Mr. Newsom’s policy moves and comments echo many Californians’ rising frustration over housing costs and homelessness, and indicate a willingness by the governor, who recently won re-election, to pick fights with local leaders to try to get results in his second term.

Mayors and county officials, meanwhile, have said they need the Newsom administration to provide reliable, recurring revenue streams and a cohesive statewide framework to address the issue. Instead, they said, most state money comes in one-time allocations with little guidance.

Many mayors were also rankled when Mr. Newsom told the Los Angeles Times he froze the homelessness funds because local leaders needed to “deliver damn results,” adding that he would be willing to play “mayor of California” if they didn’t.

However, WSJ explained that local officials had said that withholding the money they were already expecting is making the problem worse. On the matter, Los Angeles Democrat Mayor Eric Garcetti said, “Lives are on the line, and we can’t afford for this work to get mired in more politics.”

The WSJ said that according to advocates, “Problems including bureaucratic slowdowns and community resistance have made it difficult to deliver services.” At the same time, researchers also said that “even as some people are successfully sheltered, others will keep falling into homelessness until housing becomes more affordable.”

Newsom recently met with over 100 local leaders and agreed at the time to release the funds he put a hold on if each jurisdiction agreed to submit a better proposal by the end of November. According to a spokesman for the governor, 21 jurisdictions had agreed and were expected to receive the frozen funds sometime this week.

For years in California, there have been disagreements over who should be in charge of the homelessness problem, as the state reportedly has over 116,000 residents sleeping on the streets — the most in the United States — in addition to being one of the most expensive housing markets across the county.

The WSJ also noted that under Newsom, the state saw a roughly 15 percent increase in the homeless population since 2019, despite having the most significant funding increase to fight the problem. In fact, since the start of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, the state has committed around $15 billion towards homelessness, according to reports. Additionally, some majority cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco also raised taxes to help combat the problem as well.

The state’s homelessness problem also comes as Newson again reaffirmed his promise to Politico that he will not try to challenge President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election, despite his efforts of building a massive digital operation before the 2022 midterms.

Additionally, while the Democrat governor has been facing problems in his own state, he spent time during his reelection bid, which he largely ignored, attacking Republican governors who were running for reelection and are potential 2024 presidential candidates, such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. He even spent money running negative ads in Florida.

Over the last five years, Newsom has won three elections in America’s most populated state. He won his gubernatorial race in 2018 and 2022 and had to go through a recall election in 2021.

Senate Majority Chuck Schumer (D-NY) suggests an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens eligible and enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is necessary to spike the United States population even as a record 331.9 million people reside in the U.S.

During a press conference this month, Schumer and other Senate Democrats urged ten Senate Republicans to back an amnesty for 3.3 million illegal aliens enrolled and eligible for Obama’s DACA program — providing them with green cards to remain permanently in the U.S. and, eventually, gain naturalized American citizenship.

As part of that plea, Schumer said an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens is necessary to drive up the U.S. population and low birth rates among Americans.

“… we have a population that is not reproducing on its own at the same level that it used to,” Schumer said. “The only way we’re going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants, the DREAMers, and all of them.”

Schumer also said the Democrats’ “ultimate goal” is to provide amnesty to all 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living across the U.S.

The suggestion comes as the U.S. population has increased to the highest total in history, hitting 331,893,745 residents in 2021, driven mostly by legal immigration. For comparison, the population in 1970 stood at 203 million residents.

At current legal immigration levels, whereby more than a million foreign nationals are given green cards annually, the nation’s foreign-born population is expected to hit 70 million by 2060. In 1970, the foreign-born population was fewer than ten million.

Likewise, Schumer’s claim that an amnesty for illegal aliens would boost low birth rates among Americans is unlikely as fertility rates among foreign-born Americans have dropped more rapidly than fertility rates among native-born Americans.

“The total fertility rate for all women (immigrant and native-born) in America in 2019 was 1.76. Excluding immigrants, it would be 1.69 — the rate for natives. The difference is .06 children, or a 4 percent increase in overall total fertility rate in the United States,” Center for Immigration Studies research shows, suggesting more immigration would have a minimal impact on the nation’s low birth rate.

Unmentioned by Democrats, as well as many Republican lawmakers, is crafting a national family agenda that would help boost American birth rates. Hungary’s government has implemented such an agenda, focusing on economic initiatives to make it less expensive for parents to raise children while working.

Since 2010, Hungary’s fertility rate has increased from 1.25 to 1.59 births per woman.

Hundreds of illegal immigrants were released into San Diego, California, recently as Border Patrol agents waved them on to go wherever they wished.

Similar releases have also taken place in Arizona recently, Fox News reported on Friday.

The hundreds of migrants hopping off the buses in San Diego included those from China and Pakistan, the outlet said.

Video footage taken at the scene shows the long white buses parked on the side of a road as the migrants, who appear to be mostly adult men, shoulder their backpacks and move down the street:

Fox News National Correspondent Bill Melugin explained in his post that U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) facilities are overcrowded. He also noted, “These are Biden’s buses, not Texas.”

During a conversation between a migrant and one of the Border Patrol agents, the agent said, “You’re free. You’re free to go on and do whatever you want. You’re free.”

When the migrant asked if it was permissible for him to travel to Chicago, Illinois, the agent replied, “You can do whatever you want.”

Social media users who watched the clip had much to say about the scene. One person said it was “the democratic plan to never lose power again.”

“Treason,” someone else commented, while another replied, “This is EXACTLY what the Biden/Harris administration wanted. Now they are getting their wish. And we are all paying for it.”

In August, Breitbart News reported President Joe Biden’s (D) lax border policies saw nearly 250,000 more illegal migrants in July:

The record-breaking influx included 132,000 people who crossed the border to be registered and released, plus 51,000 migrants who were invited into border stations by the CBP One cellphone app, plus roughly 30,000 who were allowed to fly in from their home countries via the “parole pathway.”

The 250,000 estimate also includes roughly 50,000 so-called “gotaways” who sneak across the border while the border officers are processing the other migrants. These migrants are not deported unless they commit an obvious felony.

Meanwhile, the Democrat president’s administration is overseeing a surge in illegal crossings at the United States-Mexico border. The names of those individuals are on the government’s “Terrorist Watch List,” the outlet reported Monday.

Coast Guard called in to battle woke Oakland's sea pirate problem

Amid the sea of blue city chaos in Oakland, it's come to this:

What began as another enclave of folks seeking a low-cost alternative to high San Francisco Bay area housing prices, has turned the Oakland estuary into a pirate's nest. Rogue live-aboards have been stealing from infrequently visited boats docked in the marina, surrounding businesses, homes, and each other. The situation has become such that the United States Coast Guard has been called in to police the matter.

The Coast Guard will bring sea and air power to the table. The pirates stand little chance. Oakland Mayor Thao says, "There has to be justice." Get ready for something comical or tragic.

It's not like the movies. Basically, it's an extension of the organized theft gangs that have plagued the Bay Area, forcing private businesses to take billions in theft losses which is driving many of them from the cities. Two weeks ago, I wrote about that here.

Oakland's wokesterly mayor, Sheng Thao, is utterly useless, given that she has turned her city over to thieves of all sorts in the name of social justice, meaning, homes, cars, businesses and retail malls are all targets of mass looting that rarely ever gets punished now. It's gotten so bad the local NAACP has protested. Much of it is Mexican and Central American cartel-fueled, and with laws largely unenforced in that region, the cartels have had a field day, branching out into actual sea piracy. Thao remains feckless, though, and can't attract cops to her police department, given the left's demonization of police which pretty well tells police officers that one thing goes wrong and the politicians do not have their back. Who'd want to work for an organization like that, particularly since there are many nice cities out there that do support law and order and have their officers' backs? Of course they stay away, no need to "defund the police" because there aren't any police. The article linked above, from BoingBoing, reports that the city of some 423,000 has just one officer whose job is to police estatuary matters, including piracy. The department itself is at least 45 officers short. Good luck to the just-robbed boat owners trying to get him on the phone.

Still, the outcry has been significant enough that she's done what Democrats do, which is call for a federal bailout, in this case in the form of the Coast Guard. She suggests that now things will be done differently:

Citing ABC7, BoingBoing continues:

"There has to be justice," Thao said. "That means policing has to be done differently, investigations must be done differently, along with how resources are deployed."

…

This is where the U.S. Coast Guard comes in. Cpt. Lam says there are multiple types of vessels that would be used in situations like this – including a 45-foot response boat the Coast Guard would deploy to help local agencies.

"Additionally, we will be looking to use some of our aviation resources to provide, overt presence from the air," said Cpt. Lam. "So we see what is happening along the estuary."

It would have been a lot better if she had plainly stated that the Coast Guard shoots pirates and there won't be any woke DAs involved to mess things up, but that's probably too much to ask.

The bottom line here is that this is the future of deep blue cities that have turned themselves over to the forces of lawlessness -- sanctuary cities, zero bail, zero crime enforcement, absent police, and rampant criminality, which, they gaslight to voters is all in their heads.

Now it's the Coast Guard called in to clean up the mess that she and her wokestery coevals in power have made. All she had to do was do her job and enforce crime. She didn't so now she has a military intervention. One hopes that nothing local is going to stand in their way and they will bill Oakland for their trouble. It's probably a harbinger of more to come as Mexico militarizes its society in the wake of the cartel rise, and now Oakland has militarized its estatuary. What other cities will follow? Who will call the Army or Navy or Air Force for the next outrage of wokester neglect when things get intolerable?

It's come to this.

Median monthly overdose deaths among persons aged 10–19 years (adolescents) increased 109% from July–December 2019 to July–December 2021; deaths involving illicitly manufactured fentanyls (IMFs) increased 182%. Approximately 90% of deaths involved opioids and 84% involved IMFs. Counterfeit pills were present in nearly 25% of deaths. Two thirds of decedents had one or more potential bystanders present, but most provided no overdose response. Approximately 41% of decedents had evidence of mental health conditions or treatment.

The issue comes as Mexican authorities see a dramatic rise in human smuggling activities as thousands of Central American migrants continue to make their way north. Mexican officials predicted a dramatic rise in migratory flows at the start of 2021 due to work shortages from the pandemic and recent natural disasters that shook Central America. Officials in Mexico did not publicly discuss the political effect that a Biden Administration would have on the matter.

Mexican authorities have found several large groups of migrants at hotels or being moved in tractor-trailers in recent weeks. Officials are also seeing a spike in ransom kidnappings where cartel-connected human smugglers hold migrants to further extort their families

Newsom says California will intervene in court case blocking San Francisco from clearing encampments

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Tuesday the state will intervene in an ongoing federal court case that's barred San Francisco from cleaning up homeless encampments until more shelter beds are available, saying the judge has gone too far and is preventing the state from solving a critical problem.

“I hope this goes to the Supreme Court,” Newsom said. “And that’s a hell of a statement coming from a progressive Democrat.”

Newsom made his remarks during an interview with news outlet Politico in Sacramento. He previously blasted U.S. Magistrate Judge Donna Ryu in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle but had not disclosed his administration's plan to file an amicus brief supporting the city's efforts to overturn the ruling.

Ryu granted the injunction in December after homeless advocates argued the city had been violating the law by clearing homeless encampments without offering shelter and improperly throwing out peoples' belongings such as cellphones and medication.

Her decision has drawn rebuke from Democratic leaders in San Francisco, who argued in appellate court last month for a reversal of the decision. They say the ruling has made it nearly impossible to clean up the city’s streets and that more people are refusing shelter even when it is available.

Newsom, the former San Francisco mayor, said he’s personally worked on cleaning up three encampments near San Francisco but that his staff stopped him from cleaning up a fourth due to a court ruling. More broadly, Newsom said federal judges are ruling with a “perverse interpretation” of a court ruling stemming from a case in Boise, Idaho, that said cities can't prosecute people for sleeping on the streets if they have nowhere else to go.

“I think they’ve gone too far,” he said.

California is home to roughly one-third of the nation's population of homeless people, a problem that has dogged Newsom since he took office. Newsom touted that his administration has spent billions aimed at cleaning up streets and housing people but acknowledged the stubbornness of the issue.

“People’s lives are at risk; it’s unacceptable what’s happening on the streets and sidewalks,” he said. He added, “We’re now complicit, all of us, at all levels of government and all branches of government.”

In the wide-ranging interview, Newsom reiterated his support for Democratic President Joe Biden to run for reelection. He has repeatedly said he has no plans to challenge Biden or run for president, instead traveling the country as a surrogate for Biden. He's also been raising money and campaigning alongside Democrats in Republican-led states, a move that also serves to build his national network of political support.

Newsom also said he plans to travel to China in the coming weeks to discuss joint efforts to tackle climate change. He provided no additional details about the trip.

Newsom was asked about the newly disclosed effort by Silicon Valley billionaires to build a new city between San Francisco and Sacramento. He said the project's leaders need to win back trust from officials if they hope to move forward after keeping the project secret for years as they bought up massive amounts of land in Solano County.

“They start a little behind in my book" because of all the intrigue and questions created by their secrecy, Newsom said. “So there’s a lot more doubt now and a lot less trust.”

He added people were asking him, “What the hell is going on?" and that he learned who was behind the project just minutes before it was reported in the New York Times.

He declined to offer comments on the substance of the proposal and said he will meet with one of the project’s representatives next week, though he didn’t say whom.

Feds Seize 5,000 Pounds of Meth Setting Record for California Border County

Federal and local law enforcement officials seized a record-setting load of cartel-connected methamphetamine in San Diego County, California. The drugs, loaded 20-foot box truck, weighed in excess of 5,000 pounds and are reported to be the largest seizure in San Diego County.

During the afternoon of July 7, federal officials observed a box truck enter the U.S. through the Otay Mesa Commercial Port of Entry, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California. Law enforcement agencies surveilled the truck to its destination in National City, California. The agents watched as the alleged drug smugglers unloaded the truck into a Dodge van.

At that point, law enforcement officers moved in and arrested Rafael Alzua, 37; Mario Contreras, 41; Ethgar Velazquez, 44; and Galdrino Contreras, 41, prosecutors stated. Officials listed all four suspects as residents of Tijuana, Mexico.

An inspection of the boxes revealed more than 5,000 pounds of drugs that later tested positive for methamphetamine.

“This is a significant accomplishment by our law enforcement partners,” U.S. Attorney Randy Grossman said in a written statement. “Due to stellar work by law enforcement agents, the government stopped more than 5,000 pounds of methamphetamine from being distributed on our streets.”

The case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Border Crime Suppression Team, Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Border Patrol.

DEA Special Agent in Charge Shelly S. Howe stated, “This monumental seizure represents another win against drug cartels that fuel addiction in the United States. Because of our great partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, we will continue to disrupt the cartels’ flow of drugs into our cities.”

San Diego County Sheriff Anthony C. Ray added, “I am grateful for the hard work, vigilance, and steadfast dedication of our Sheriff’s Detectives, as well as our local, state, and federal partners. Our partnership and collaboration allow us to share information that is absolutely critical in keeping drugs from entering our streets and holding drug traffickers accountable.”

The four men from Mexico now face charges of Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine. If convicted, each could face a prison term of ten years to life and a fine of up to $10 million.

Court records were not yet available in the document tracking system.

Mexican Governor is the Nephew of a Cartel Boss in U.S. Custody

The governor of a Mexican state plagued with cartel violence for years is the nephew of a cartel boss and a cousin to another. Both face drug charges in a U.S court. Breitbart Texas obtained birth certificates confirming the familial relationships between the governor and the crime bosses. The politician has denied such familial connections in the past.

This week, Adalberto Fructoso “Fruto” Comparan Rodriguez, the former mayor of Aguililla, Michoacan, and son Adalberto Fructoso Comparan Bedolla, along with four other cartel members, went before a federal judge in Florida this week. They were notified of the drug charges against them and were ordered to be held without bond.
Breitbart Texas obtained Mexican birth certificates showing the relationships between current Michoacan Governor Alfredo Ramirez Bedolla and the accused through marriage. La Silla Rota had published information about Ramirez’s relatives during his gubernatorial race in 2021, but only now do documents publicly confirm the connections.

 

The wife of Comparan Rodriguez is Anabel Bedolla Marin from Aguililla, Michoacan — a region under the control of Carteles Unidos.

 

Anabel Bedolla is the sister of Maria de Jesus Bedolla Marin, who is the mother of the politician.

 

Ramirez Bedolla, born in Morelia, Michoacan, had previously tried to minimize his relationship by claiming his aunt and uncle were separated for more than 10 years and had no contact with them.

Comparan Rodriguez is accused of being one of the leaders of Carteles Unidos in Michoacan and responsible for large-scale shipments of meth into the U.S. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Comparan Rodriguez would hide the drugs inside concrete tiles and dilute meth in paint. Authorities in Guatemala arrested Comparan Rodriguez in March 2021 and helped get him extradited to the U.S. in January 2022. Authorities arrested his son, Comparan Bedolla, in March 2021 in Miami while they reportedly tried to remove liquid meth from paint.

Michoacan is one of the most violent states in Mexico due to a violent turf war between Carteles Unidos (a collection of smaller organizations and “self-defense” groups) against Cartel Jalisco New Generation for control of vast drug production areas and smuggling corridors. Mexico’s federal government has been unable to reduce violence in the region.

Biden's Deathly Presidency

For four years under President Trump, America enjoyed peace, security, and unparalleled prosperity.  Trump's presidency was a historic era of good times in which we began to regain faith in the American Dream.  Now we have the nightmare, and the death and destruction that go with it.

Yes, the Trump Era was prosperous, with historically low unemployment rates, low inflation, energy independence, and rising wages.  But aside from that, the most important thing about Trump's presidency was the fact that Americans were secure, as they had not been under Obama and certainly are not under Biden.  Under Trump, America was in so many senses vibrant and "alive" with pride in our country and hope for its future.

Now we have regular mass shootings in which citizens disarmed by the State have no way to defend themselves.  Overseas, we have a war in Ukraine, the threat of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, and Iran developing nuclear weapons with the encouragement of the Biden administration.  The common thread is death and the fear that goes with it.  And this does not even include Biden's aggressive defense of abortion on demand. 

Under President Trump, I lived without fear.  I knew that Trump supported my right to defend my home and that he supported the police who defended me as well.  Just having the president and his administration on my side made me breathe easier.  America was moving in the right direction, as was confirmed by every opinion poll during Trump's time in office before COVID was unleashed.

Long-term death rates are more a matter of demographics than policy, and they have been rising ever since Obama took office in 2008.  But murder rates, deaths in war and civil unrest, drug overdose deaths, and accidental deaths are attributable to policy, and they have been rising under Biden, even during his short time in office.  Under Biden, the U.S. murder rate, which had been declining under President Trump, is the highest in 25 years.  According to former N.Y. police commissioner Howard Safir, the spike in violence is partly attributable to lack of support for police and soft-on-crime prosecutors.  And it is Biden, with his anti-police rhetoric and refusal to prosecute (as in the case of those picketing Justice Kavanaugh's home), who is responsible for this climate of anarchy.

 

Now I plan my trips carefully, avoid eye contact with strangers, and carry only a driver's license and credit card.  I drive inconspicuously as well, given the explosion of road rage incidents.

The most galling thing is that Biden never says a word about the victims of crime unless he can twist the incident into an anti-gun lecture, and he takes no action to protect anyone, especially law-abiding citizens in middle-class neighborhoods like my own.  In this and so many other ways, he seems on the side of those who wish to destroy us.  It's no accident that murder rates are spiraling at home and war is breaking out overseas.  Both are a response to Biden's weakness, and death is the consequence.

I fear there will be more death ahead.  I expect an invasion in Taiwan, Moldova, or Finland, and new outbreaks of violence in the Middle East involving either Iran or its surrogates.  The incomprehensible Iran deal, which Biden is pushing, would "make Biden 'the biggest funder of terrorism in the world,'" according to Rep. Jim Banks.  "Terrorism" is not just a derogatory word; it is the act of murdering innocent human beings, including women and children.  Hasn't that fact entered into Biden's Iran deal calculations?

Biden's weakness has emboldened our enemies, and their actions pose a threat to our security.  This is the way major wars begin.  They can be prevented only by the projection of force of the kind we saw under President Trump, and Biden projects about as much force as a lady's fan.  His weakness will get us into another war, and our young men and women will die in that war.  There is death hanging over us, and Biden seems oblivious, fumbling with his note cards to find some kind of answer.  

There is a new national mood in America unlike anything I've seen since the 1960s: a sense of foreboding and caution based on the very real threat of violence and collapse.  There are more threats to our country, including the wealth destruction of inflation, to which Biden simply rolls his eyes, chuckles, and whispers some idiotic riposte.  There are more criminal gangs, and Biden just welcomes more in.  There is more road rage, more random shooting, more felons out on no bond/low bond.  And there is a callous and brutal disregard for the lives of the unborn.

 

In response to the mounting violence, Biden seems remote, fuddling with his microphone like a man slipping into dementia, and those around him seem inept, if not callous, including his new press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, who is said to have "frequently stumbled" during her first weeks.  A president who is weak and advisers who are incompetent and anti-American to boot — that is a recipe for disaster, and disaster will end, as it always does, in poverty, destruction, and death.

There are bullies in the world who watched as Biden stumbled out of Afghanistan, and bullies don't have much respect for doddering fools who just want to survive a four-year term and leave a mess for someone else to clean up.

As a citizen, it is difficult to watch my country besieged by violence.  Biden's presidency has been deadly in every respect: turning off economic growth and imposing environmental restrictions, proposing inflation-adjusted cuts in national defense while paying off student loans, and putting citizens at risk with his anti-police rhetoric.

There is little chance of a second Biden term, but just another two and a half years is painful to imagine.  How many thousands will lose their lives because of one incompetent and wrong-headed leader?  How far will America go into danger and destruction?  And how much more difficult will it be for our next president, Trump or a Trump lookalike, to repair the damage and Make America Safe Again?

Video obtained by Breitbart News of John Rourke’s “Great American Cleanup” on the southern border shows some of the trash left behind by migrants, including baby clothes and opened condom packs.

This year’s cleanup took place in Brownsville, Texas, and Breitbart News obtained footage from the cleanup, which showcases some of the disturbing findings as Americans clean up trash in the border town.

“Children’s clothing little babies, this is a onesie. … These poor freaking children,” Rourke, owner of Blue Line Moving, said before finding an open condom wrapper next to the children’s clothes.

“An open condom wrapper with children’s clothes there,” he said, finding a newborn diaper as well.

“Guys. What the f*ck is a condom wrapper and little children’s clothes doing next to each other? Like how does that even — how do those two things come together? Unfortunately, I think that I have the answer to that question,” Rourke said, adding that it makes him sick to his stomach.

“This shit has got to end at this border. We cannot have this. Look at this. An open condom wrapper and little children’s onesie,” he said, emphasizing that there are a lot of “sick, sick people coming into this country.”

“Sure, there are people that are here to work hard and do the right thing, but unfortunately, there’s a lot of people, a lot of people, they’re doing this disgusting shit. Ok, it has to end,” Rourke said.

“See all these people across? All these people?” he asked, referencing the migrant encampment across the river.

“These are not our friends. These people do not have the best interests of the United States in their hearts,” he said, adding that the migrants were deliberately throwing their trash into the water telling them to clean it up.

“Coming to a neighborhood near you,” he said, “Makes me sick.”

According to Rourke, he and his team picked up 10.6 tons of trash, or 21,240 lbs.

After a federal judge again ruled unconstitutional former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says Congress must pass amnesty.

This week, United States District Judge Andrew Hanen ruled DACA to be unconstitutional after first having found in 2021 that the program was illegally created by the Obama administration. The case is likely to be appealed to the Supreme Court for the third time.

Today, more than half a million illegal aliens remain in the U.S. thanks to securing DACA protections from deportation. Mayorkas said now is the time for Congress to pass an amnesty for those enrolled in DACA, as well as those eligible for the program.

“Congress has failed to act, and now DREAMers face an uncertain future, waiting to receive the permanent protection they deserve,” Mayorkas said in a statement:

… DHS will continue to advocate on behalf of DACA recipients every day, in the courts and through our actions. We stand ready to work with Congress on an enduring solution for our DREAMers. [Emphasis added]

In February, Sens. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) proposed their “DREAM Act” amnesty that would provide green cards and, eventually, naturalized American citizenship to nearly two million illegal aliens enrolled and eligible for DACA.

The amnesty has failed to gain traction in Congress.

As Breitbart News reported in 2017, a DACA amnesty would open a surge of chain migration — where newly naturalized citizens can bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S. — ranging from 10 million to 19 million foreign nationals.

A prior Breitbart News analysis found that a DACA amnesty would cost American taxpayers some $115 billion by opening Obamacare rolls to newly legalized illegal aliens. Meanwhile, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated that such an amnesty would cost taxpayers $26 billion.

That same CBO report suggests that about one in five DACA illegal aliens, after an amnesty, would end up on food stamps, while at least one in seven would go on Medicaid.

In 2013, CBO analysis stated that the “Gang of Eight” amnesty plan would “slightly” push down wages for American workers. A 2020 CBO analysis stated that “immigration has exerted downward pressure on the wages of relatively low-skilled workers who are already in the country, regardless of their birthplace.”

San Francisco Liberals Rush to Defense of Fentanyl-Dealing Illegal Immigrants

Legislation would deport drug peddlers from city, and liberals aren't having it

Liberals are attacking a San Francisco lawmaker’s plan to deport fentanyl-dealing illegal aliens, arguing it would make immigrant communities distrust the city.

Supervisor Matt Dorsey on Tuesday introduced legislation that would amend San Francisco’s "sanctuary city" laws to make illegal immigrants caught dealing fentanyl eligible for deportation, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Experts say most of the fentanyl in San Francisco, which has killed more than 1,400 residents since 2020, is dealt by illegal immigrants from Honduras.

The bill’s rationale seems lost on progressives, who rushed to condemn Dorsey for his proposal. University of San Francisco migration law professor Bill Hing told the Chronicle the proposal would have a "chilling effect" on all immigrants and that the city "should not be in the business of facilitating the deportation of its residents."

At the moment, city authorities are only permitted

to flag for deportation illegal immigrants convicted

of certain violent crimes, including rape, murder,

and arson.

Del Seymour, an advocate from the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood, argued that the illegal immigrants are selling the drug because they have no other options. Fentanyl dealers have largely taken over the streets in the Tenderloin, which is the epicenter of fentanyl dealing in San Francisco.

Activists aren’t the only ones blocking attempts at reform. San Francisco courts have repeatedly blocked District Attorney Brooke Jenkins’s efforts to secure pretrial detentions for some of the city’s most dangerous fentanyl dealers, letting the offenders walk free instead.

The debate around San Francisco’s sanctuary city laws came to a head in 2015 after an illegal immigrant who had been deported five times shot and killed a 32-year-old woman. The man, Jose Inez Garcia-Zarate, was sentenced in June 2022 to time served on gun charges stemming from the murder.

Two Tons of Meth Seized in Radish Shipment at California Border Crossing

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than two tons of methamphetamine hidden in pallets of radishes at a California border crossing. It is the second time in two days that such a discovery was made at California border crossings from Mexico.

CBP officers assigned to the Calexico Port of Entry on January 31 encountered a tractor-trailer approaching for entry inspection from Mexico into California. The driver presented a manifest indicating a shipment of radishes, according to a statement released by CBP late last week.

The officer referred the driver of the tractor-trailer, a 24-year-old male from Mexico, to the secondary inspection station. Officers carried out a non-intrusive inspection after which a K-9 inspection was requested.

The K-9 alerted CBP officers to the possible presence of narcotics hidden in the pallets of radishes, the statement reports.

During a physical search of the trailer, CBP officers found 1,590 packages that tested positive for methamphetamine.  The load of meth weighed 4,563 pounds, officers reported.

CBP officials seized the drugs worth an estimated $5,475,000 and turned the driver over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) for further disposition, the statement reports.

“Outstanding work by our CBP officers,” said Roque Caza, Port Director for Calexico Port of Entry. “These smuggling attempts are efforts to deceive and misguide us; however, our officers and law enforcement partners are always working together to improve the safety of our communities.”
This is the second such discovery in two days. On January 29, CBP officers assigned to the Otay Mesa Port of Entry encountered another tractor-trailer with a manifest for a shipment of radishes. Again, a non-intrusive inspection and K-9 search led to the discovery of what was described as a “large amount of narcotics hidden in the pallets of radishes.”

Officials did not disclose the type of narcotics or the actual weight of the drug seizure.

Again, the officers seized the drugs and the tractor-trailer. They turned the 24-year-old Mexican national to HSI for further investigation.

“Perseverance- that is the key principle for success,” said Rosa Hernandez, Otay Mesa Port Director. “Our CBP officers are the prime example of applying this practice because, as we all know, things are not always what they seem.”

Officials called the two drug shipments in a few days, “Strike one, strike two!”

During the first four months of Fiscal Year 23, CBP officers assigned to the San Digo Field Office seized more than 26,000 pounds of methamphetamine,3,900 pounds of cocaine, and 2,800 pounds of fentanyl.

485K Migrants Apprehended this Year in Texas-Based Border Sectors

Border Patrol agents assigned to the five Texas-based border sectors apprehended nearly 485,000 migrants who crossed the border from Mexico into this border region since October 1, 2022. This represents nearly 64 percent of all migrant crossings along the southwest border with Mexico.

Agents assigned to the El Paso, Big Bend, Del Rio, Laredo, and Rio Grande Valley sectors apprehended 484,527 migrants who crossed from Mexico during the first four months of Fiscal Year 23. This is up from the same period in FY22 when agents encountered 400,219 migrants — an increase of 21 percent.

While the Texas-based border sectors experienced this significant increase in apprehensions, three of the five sectors actually reported significant decreases in apprehensions. The two remaining sectors made up from these decreases however and reported very consequential increases.

The El Paso Sector reported the largest increase, both in the number of apprehensions and the percentage of increases. El Paso agents apprehended 192,329 migrants in four months. This is up by a massive 187 percent from the same period last year when agents apprehended only 67,048 — an increase of 125,281 migrant apprehensions.

The Del Rio Sector also reported a significant increase in apprehensions as agents took 171,017 migrants into custody after they crossed from Mexico during the four-month period. This is up from the 122,853 migrants apprehended during the same period last year — an increase of 39.2 percent.

The Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, and Big Bend Sector all reported decreases in apprehensions ranging from 41 to 60 percent. The most significant decrease in terms of the number of apprehensions came in the Rio Grande Valley Sector where agents apprehended 167,461 last year but only 99,172 this year — a 40.8 percent decrease.

Single adults made up the largest demographic component of the migrants apprehended in the Texas-based border sectors. Officials reported this component accounted for 337,032 of the 484,5527 migrant apprehensions. This represents an increase of 29.4 percent, the report states.

Family unit apprehensions also increased slightly as agents apprehended 112,480 migrants in this demographic category. This represents an increase of nine percent.

The unaccompanied migrant children category is the only demographic that fell in the number of apprehensions. Agents apprehended 35,015 migrant children traveling without a parent or guardian — down by 4.2 percent.

Nolte: Democrat War on Children Explodes Overdose Deaths, Suicide Attempts

Overdose deaths more than doubled between 2019 and 2021 for those aged 10 to 19. Suicide attempts by the young jumped by 40 percent between 2019 and 2021.

The Democrats are winning their war on children.

Here are the numbers on drug overdoses:

Median monthly overdose deaths among persons aged 10–19 years (adolescents) increased 109% from July–December 2019 to July–December 2021; deaths involving illicitly manufactured fentanyls (IMFs) increased 182%. Approximately 90% of deaths involved opioids and 84% involved IMFs. Counterfeit pills were present in nearly 25% of deaths. Two thirds of decedents had one or more potential bystanders present, but most provided no overdose response. Approximately 41% of decedents had evidence of mental health conditions or treatment.

Here are the numbers on suicide attempts:

Compared to other age groups, children and adolescents had seven times the rate of increase in suicide ideation (21% vs. 3%) and six times the rate of increase in suicide attempts (26% vs. an average of 4%) from 2020 to 2021. In addition, they were the only age group that showed a rise in suicide attempts from 2019 to 2020, with a cumulative jump of 39% from 2019 to 2021, compared to a 2% increase among those aged 18-25 and 3% increase among those aged 26 and older.

PowerLine first brought these two statistic together and asked, “Why Do Liberals Hate Children?”

The last few years have been brutal for young people. Schools closed and activities shut down because of covid, widely available fentanyl due largely to our open southern border, constant racial attacks, especially on white kids, bizarre gender confusion, and hysteria over global warming have had devastating effects. No wonder suicide, depression and overdose deaths are spiking.

No reasonable person can look at these numbers and come to any conclusion other than the left’s war on children is succeeding. His Frauduculency Joe Biden has opened the border to the poison of fentanyl. The demonic and scientifically unnecessary school closures ripped from children the two most important things to their development: structure and socialization. We’re teaching white kids that the color of their skin makes them guilty and evil. Educators, the corporate media, and pop culture are lying to them about the imminent death of the planet. On top of all that, they are being bullied and propagandized with lies about gender roles.

The only thing I would add to PowerLine’s summary is that instead of telling the truth to children about them being a blessing, they are being portrayed as an inconvenience and obstruction to happiness with garbage like this.

 

Finally, there’s the godlessness of our culture. When you remove God from the equation, you remove HOPE. Believing in God is not just about believing in an afterlife; it’s having faith that someday there will be true justice. I cannot imagine the despair of living without that belief. When you look at the world, and its injustice, all the liars who succeed, all the evil portrayed as good… Don’t get me wrong, believing in an ultimate justice is a double-edged sword. I will also be judged, which can be a terrifying thought.

And so, in place of God, we give the kids social media. In the place of poetry, we give them talking points. In the place of the boredom that facilitates inspiration, ideas, and circumspection, we give them 24/7 stimulation.

Also worth expounding on is how the left deliberately confuses gender roles. This removes a key ingredient to happiness, and that’s finding your place in the world. Again, I don’t want to generalize, but most of us find being handed a role in life rather comforting. Oh, here’s what I’m supposed to do. These are my goals. This is how I’m supposed to behave and who I’m supposed to be. The woman’s role is to nurture, make a home, support her husband, and love her children unconditionally. The man’s job is to provide, protect, and guide his children, sometimes with discipline.

Again, I don’t want to be attacked as some sort of chauvinist. I believe people — men and women — should be allowed to live whatever lives they want to live. If I were King, that would be the law. But, and this is important because human nature is human nature, those roles are a crucial starting point, a fallback position available to everyone, a safe zone that is always there. Well, look around… We’re telling women to act like men and men to act like women. We’re calling women who wish to be homemakers sellouts and men who wish to protect and provide toxic.

If nothing else, through gender roles that have been around for millions of years, a boy and girl could always say, This is what I’m supposed to be. This is where I belong. Unfortunately, that safety net is gone now, and the children are lost in a world telling them their human nature is “problematic,” there is no God, the planet is doomed, and they are a burden, not only to their parents but to the planet.

We’re basically telling kids they’re a virus.

Major Sheriff’s Associations Call for ‘Eradication’ of Mexican Drug Cartels

The largest sheriff’s associations in the country called for the eradication of Mexican drug cartels and for the public to pressure their elected officials to do something about it. The groups called for action to start against the two most powerful criminal organizations in Mexico. The call for action by the sheriffs comes follows 21 state attorneys general called for cartels to be designated as terrorist organizations.

In a joint statement from the National Sheriff’s Association, Major County Sheriffs of America, Western States Sheriffs’ Association, Southwestern Border Sheriffs’ Coalition, and Texas Border Sheriff’s Coalition, the groups claimed that the two main drivers of illicit drugs leading to overdoses and violence into the U.S. are Sinaloa Cartel and Cartel Jalisco New Generation.

Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra shared the letter on social media while asking for support in forcing Mexico to dismantle cartels.

 

In their statement, the sheriff’s organizations pointed to the casualty count from September 11, 2001, where “terrorists killed 2,977 innocent people.” As a result of that attack, the response from the U.S. “included declaring war on terrorism and bringing justice to the victims of this unthinkable tragedy by holding terrorists and terrorist countries accountable.”

However, noting that in a 12-month period, there were 107,000 overdose deaths — most tied to fentanyl brought by those two cartels —  and the U.S. had done little in response.

“This crisis has caused 35 more times the amount of death to American citizens in a one-year period than was inflicted upon the U.S. on September 11th by Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden,” the sheriffs stated.

The harsh words from the top law local law enforcement officials in the country come just days after 21 state attorneys general filed a letter asking for U.S. President Joseph Biden to designate drug cartels as terrorist organizations.

(CNSNews.com) – Republicans heckled President Biden when he raised the fentanyl crisis during his State of the Union on Tuesday night, drawing attention to the flow of the deadly synthetic opioid over the insecure southwest border and to China’s role in its production.

After introducing and paying tribute to a guest whose daughter died of a fentanyl overdose aged 20, Biden said, “Fentanyl is killing more than 70,000 Americans a year.”

Heckling erupted, with lawmakers shouting “close the border” and what sounded like “it’s coming from China,” before a male voice was heard yelling at the president, “it’s your fault!”

Biden grinned, and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, seated behind him, pursed his lips in a bid to shush the hecklers in his party – not for the first time during the speech. Vice President Kamala Harris appeared bemused.

 

The president then went on, “Let’s launch a major surge to stop fentanyl production and the sale and trafficking, with more drug detection machines to inspect cargo and stop pills and powder at the border.”

“Working with couriers like Fed Ex to inspect more packages for drugs,” he added. “Strong penalties to crack down on fentanyl trafficking.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), identified in some reports as one of the hecklers, tweeted afterwards, “Biden is the Mexican cartel’s best business partner. And their business is murdering Americans with Chinese-made fentanyl.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 71,238 Americans died in fentanyl overdoses in 2021, up from 57,834 in 2020 and from 28,466 in 2017.

The quantity of fentanyl seized by Customs and Border Protection agents at the southwest border has been climbing steadily in recent years, from 2,633 pounds in fiscal year 2019 to 10,586 pounds two years later, and to 14,104 pounds in FY 2022.

Just three months into FY 2023, fentanyl seizures along the U.S.-Mexico border reported by CBP have already reached 7,226 pounds – more than the entire hauls reported in FY 2019 and FY 2020 put together.

How much fentanyl is smuggled across the border and not detected and seized is not known.

“There are no comprehensive data on the total quantity of foreign-produced illicit drugs smuggled into the United States at or between official ports of entry (POEs) because these are drugs that have generally evaded seizure by border officials,” according to a 2020 Congressional Research Service report.

(CNSNews.com) – During a House Oversight Committee hearing on border security, Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Tex.) explained how Mexican drug cartels are waging what he describes as “asymmetrical warfare” on the United States.

On Feb. 7 at the Capitol, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability held a hearing entitled “On the Front Lines of the Border Crisis: A Hearing with Chief Patrol Agents.”

The two expert witnesses invited to testify at the hearing were Gloria Chavez, Chief Patrol Agent of the Rio Grande Valley Sector, and John Modlin, Chief Patrol Agent of the Tucson Sector.

 

During his remarks, Rep. Fallon used his time to shine a light on the size and nature of the cartels.

“Chief Modlin, do you believe the Mexican drug cartels present a clear and present danger to the safety and security of the United States?” asked Fallon.                        

“I would say that the drug cartels and their control of the border […] is a very significant problem,” replied Chief Modlin.                                                                   

Fallon went on to reveal that the estimated total revenue for the cartels is $38 billion a year, made from illegal narcotics and human trafficking.

“That’s the size of some nation states’ entire GDP in a given year,” explained Fallon. 

In his response, Modlin said, “I think it’s very important that you’ve brought up the amount of money the cartels have.”                                                                             

“So these organizations,” Modlin continued, “the funds they have, it’s almost limitless. They don’t have to follow policy, they don’t have to follow law, they don’t recognize the international border, they don’t recognize state borders. So, where we are, of course, confined by all those things, or restricted by those things, they have absolute freedom.”                

“Absolute freedom to smuggle in fentanyl,” Fallon interrupted, “which I think we’d all agree is the most dangerous drug they’re currently trafficking in. Where something smaller than a tip of a pencil, two milligrams, can kill a human being. They’ve smuggled in 24,000 pounds in the last two fiscal years, and they have killed 80,000 Americans in just one year.”

“That is asymmetrical warfare being waged on the United States, and what we don’t lack is your will to secure the border, the border patrol agents’ will,” said Fallon. “We have the resources, we have the manpower, we have the technology. What we lack, Mr. Chairman, is Alejandro Mayorkas’ will, and Joe Biden’s will to do so.”                   

 

On the morning of the hearing, the Twitter account for the Oversight Committee Democrats tweeted the following:

“Good morning and good luck to everyone except @GOPoversight members who are using today’s hearing to amplify white nationalist conspiracy theories instead of a comprehensive solution to protect our borders and strengthen our immigration system.”

This tweet prompted a response from Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) who said the following at the start of the hearing:

“I’m just going to cut to the chase for my colleagues on the other side of the aisle who want to state that we’re using this hearing for white nationalism. I’m not doing that, so if you feel that strongly come walk to this side of the room and let’s talk about it face to face. But leave that kind of silly stuff for somebody else. Don’t bring that here today, this stuff is serious.”        

 

From April 2020 to April 2021, more than 100,000 Americans died from drug overdoses, according to data from the National Center for Health Statistics. An overwhelming majority of those deaths came from opioids, and fentanyl smuggling has surged at the southern border since the start of Joe Biden's presidency.

Admiral: ‘We Should Never Give China a Pass’ Over Its Responsibility for the Fentanyl Crisis

(CNSNews.com) – Ahead of a State of the Union address in which President Biden called for a “major surge” to tackle the deadly opioid epidemic, a U.S. Navy admiral and former U.S. Pacific Command commander said Tuesday the U.S. “should never give China a pass” over its responsibility for the fentanyl crisis.

When Biden addressed the fentanyl issue during his speech, he was heckled by some House Republicans, with one of them yelling what sounded like “it’s coming from China.”

Fentanyl has been identified as the leading killer of Americans between the ages of 18 and 49. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that more than 100,000 Americans died of a drug overdose in 2021, with synthetic opioids like fentanyl accounting for two-thirds of the deaths.

The majority of the precursor chemicals for producing the deadly drug are reported to come from China.

 

Hours before Biden’s speech, retired Adm. Harry Harris Jr. told the House Armed Services Committee that the U.S. needs to “pressurize China more, and ensure that the world understands that China is behind the fentanyl crisis – not only in America, but elsewhere.”

Another part of addressing the crisis, he said, was “the enforcement piece, at the point of entry into the United States, which is Mexico and the cartels.”

“But we should never give China a pass on the fact that they’re behind the manufacture of this scourge across America,” said Harris, who served as U.S. Pacific Command commander until retiring from naval service in 2018, when he became ambassador to South Korea until 2021.

In response to a question, Harris said he did not hold the view that the situation was the result of a concerted Chinese Communist Party strategy to kill Americans.

“It doesn’t strike you though as curious that our biggest adversary is responsible for almost all the fentanyl that comes in, flows into this country – ?” asked Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.).

“I think it’s concerning,” said Harris. He agreed with Banks that “it is a national security issue.”

‘Diplomatic push’

A White House State of the Union fact sheet listed “key actions” the administration plans to take to tackle the issue, including leading “a sustained diplomatic push that will address fentanyl and its supply chain abroad.”

“The administration will work with international partners to disrupt the global fentanyl production and supply chain, and call on others to join our efforts. We will focus on seizing chemical ingredients and fentanyl before it can reach our communities, and hold accountable the producers, traffickers, and facilitators of these deadly drugs,” it said.

“Many of these ingredients and materials originate outside our borders, and we will call on global partners to work with us and do more to disrupt the criminal elements within their countries who sell chemicals and tools for the production of counterfeit pills around the world.”

At a White House briefing ahead of Biden’s speech, Office of National Drug Control Policy Director Dr. Rahul Gupta was asked about this planned “diplomatic push.”

“One of the things that we know is important is to make sure that we’re addressing the entire global supply chain of fentanyl and precursor compounds,” he said. “This is why the President has been so forward leaning when it’s talking with President López Obrador in Mexico or President Xi in China.”

Gupta said the administration has “specific asks” of China, to take steps that would “significantly reduce, if not eliminate, that shipping of precursor chemicals – but also at the same time to ensure that where the production happens of fentanyl, which is mostly in Mexico, that we’re working with the Mexican authorities and the leadership there.”

He said Biden’s diplomatic push would aim to “ensure that we’re working with these countries to hold illicit actors accountable in their countries. And we want to work with the leaders of these countries to make sure that they do just that.”

State Department spokesman Ned Price said last month that China-origin precursor chemicals “still make their way to third countries and ultimately form the basis of so much of the fentanyl that arrives in the United States and kills our citizens.”

Border Advocates Blast Biden’s Call for Amnesty in State of the Union

President Biden ignored his border crisis while also calling for amnesty in his State of the Union address, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) charged. 

FAIR, which advocates for border security and the reduction of legal immigration, responded to President Biden’s statements about the border in a press release. 

“President Biden, who came to office two years ago with some of the lowest levels of illegal immigration in modern history, largely ignored the historic border crisis he created by devoting only a few lines to it in his State of the Union address,” the press release begins.

FAIR noted that “Other than a call for additional manpower (to process migrants) and equipment to ‘secure’ our borders, Biden said nothing about his failed policies that have resulted in more than a quarter of a million illegal aliens breaching our borders in a single month.”

But even more concerning, Biden “reiterated his call for a mass amnesty that will serve as yet another magnet for even greater illegal immigration in the future,” FAIR points out.

During his speech, Biden said, “If you won’t pass my comprehensive immigration reform, at least pass … a pathway to citizenship for DREAMers, those on temporary status, farm workers, and essential workers.”

The organization also explained the scope of the crisis, charging that only two years into the Biden presidency, “We are approaching 6 million illegal entrants, the vast majority of whom have been released under the pretense that they will be removed sometime in the future. We all know they won’t.”

Should the number of illegal entrants reach six million, it would be roughly numerically equivalent to the state of Maryland.

The organization alleges that 

President Biden sought to portray his flagrantly illegal abuse of parole as an effective border enforcement strategy. With no statutory authority, he has created a parallel immigration system that allows 360,000 otherwise inadmissible aliens from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter each year, all while boasting that he has cut illegal entry by citizens of those countries by 97 percent.

FAIR also went on to compare the approach to “raising the speed limit to 150 mph and bragging that you have dramatically reduced the number of drivers cited with speeding tickets.”

The organization went on to condemn the administration’s approach to the border, claiming that Biden isn’t even trying to enforce the law. “Subtly, but unmistakably, President Biden’s agenda has effectively abolished statutorily mandated border and immigration enforcement and replaced it with border and immigration management,” the release read.

FAIR also stated that “The goal of U.S. immigration policymaking under the Biden Administration is clear: Open borders for all who want to settle here, and amnesty for everyone who is already here illegally.”

“All manner of enforcement is out and endless accommodation is in,” FAIR concluded.

Mexican Cartel-Style Violence Spreading in California over Marijuana Grow Fields

Contrary to political rhetoric, Mexican cartel-style killings and gun battles appear to have already reached the U.S. and are spreading — particularly in California. The region experienced an explosive growth of cartel marijuana grow operations that are taking advantage of legalization and lax laws.

This week, federal authorities clashed with one of two gunmen who are accused of killing a family of six — including a 16-year-old female and her baby. The murders took place last month in Tulare County, California, in what some authorities have dubbed a cartel killing.

On early Friday morning, federal agents arrested Noah David Beard, 25, and Angel “Nanu” Uriarte, 35, the Los Angeles Times reported. The article identified both men as Sureno Gang members. Uriarte clashed with federal agents in a gun battle. He sustained multipole injuries and had to undergo surgery. He is expected to survive. Authorities arrested Beard without a shootout.

The two men are facing six murder charges and several enhancements filed by the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office over the January 16 mass killing. Authorities also carried out several raids at homes and prison cells targeting the Nuestra Familia gang. Both the Nuestra Familia and the Surenos have a history of working with Mexican drug cartels.

According to the Los Angeles Times, authorities found the 16-year-old mother in a ditch cradling her baby in her arms. Both victims were shot in the head.  Initially, Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux called the murder the work of a cartel, however, he later tried to walk back the claim, the Times reported.

Tulare County and other counties in Northern California have seen a dramatic rise in cartel presence due to the legal marijuana trade and lax laws around it. Additionally, various cartel figures who have become famous in Mexico are actually U.S. citizens. Among these is Jose Maria “Z-43” Guizar Valencia a top leader with the Los Zetas cartel who was born in Tulare California and is currently awaiting sentencing on various federal drug trafficking charges in Texas.

According to a report from USA Today, since California legalized marijuana for recreational use, Mexican cartels have moved their grow operations to the U.S. where they can hide among legal farms. The publication reported that in 2021, there were 10,000 illegal grow operations in Mendocino County alone. The issue has already led to various high-profile cases similar to the one in Tulare County last month.

One of the main draws for cartels is that operating an illegal grow is only a misdemeanor offense in California and that business is cash only. Additionally, the region does not have enough law enforcement officers to patrol those grow sites and enforce laws against illegal growing operations, USA Today reported.

California Detectives Seize 90 Pounds of Fentanyl: Enough to Kill Millions of Americans

The Alameda County Narcotics Task Force conducted the biggest drug bust in the county’s history, seizing 90 pounds of fentanyl Friday that authorities said have a street value of $4.2 million, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.

Lt. Ray Kelly, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, said detectives found a fentanyl manufacturing lab last week after serving two search warrants in Oakland and Hayward in the California Bay Area.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported on the operation, which involved enough fentanyl to kill millions of Americans:

Detectives at the manufacturing lab found 92.58 pounds of fentanyl and two illegal firearms. One suspect involved in the manufacturing of fentanyl was taken into custody, and authorities are searching for a second suspect “on the run,” Kelly said. Neither suspects’ identities nor the exact location of the fentanyl lab were disclosed.

Bay Area public health officials say fentanyl, a synthetic opioid far more potent than heroin, has been the driver of the region’s opioid epidemic in recent years. About seven in 10 drug-related deaths in San Francisco involve fentanyl, according to figures from the city’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the illicit drug can be lethal even in small amounts.

 

The sheriff’s office noted on their Facebook account that “per the dea.gov one kilogram of fentanyl can kill 500,000 people.”

“This shows you just how prolific our fentanyl problem is,” Kelly said in the article. “Every day, people in the Bay Area continue to overdose, young people suffering from addiction, and they’re dying at unacceptable rates. So this is just one dent that we feel we took.”

Pelosi on Legalizing Marijuana: 'I'm All for It'

(CNSNews.com) - At many of her news conferences, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) talks about her concern for children -- "my reason to be here" (in the Congress), she said again on Thursday.

Also at Thursday's news conference, Pelosi expressed her support for the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act, which decriminalizes marijuana and eliminates criminal penalties for an individual who manufactures, distributes, or possesses marijuana. "I'm all for it," she said.

The bill also makes other changes (see below) --  including a name change -- "cannabis" instead of "marijuana" in federal legislation:

"The MORE Act that is on the floor today," Pelosi said in her opening remarks. "It's a major criminal reform bill that helps end the racial and economic injustice of marijuana decriminalization. It, ah, it's -- we're very proud of the work that has gone into it, and we would hope that it has support in the Senate."

Pelosi said the bill "is about justice."

Later, a reporter asked Pelosi what concerns Americans may have about the bill.

She noted that many states already have decriminalized marijuana, "and so this is consistent with what is happening in many states across the country. And it also addresses the injustices of it, because of what penalties had been (imposed) before the decriminalization took place. So I'm all for it," she said.

Pelosi then mentioned the "fact" that marijuana exists, is being used, and "we've got to address how it is treated legally and not in a way that mistreats people on the lower income scale -- not says, if you're wealthy, you can be engaged in all of this, but if you’re not, there are barriers to your even getting banking services in order to do it. So it's a fact of life that needed appropriate public policy to address it."

The MORE Act also:

--replaces statutory references to marijuana and marihuana with cannabis,

--requires the Bureau of Labor Statistics to regularly publish demographic data on cannabis business owners and employees,

--establishes a trust fund to support various programs and services for individuals and businesses in communities impacted by the war on drugs,

--imposes an excise tax on cannabis products produced in or imported into the United States and an occupational tax on cannabis production facilities and export warehouses,

--makes Small Business Administration loans and services available to entities that are cannabis-related legitimate businesses or service providers,

--prohibits the denial of federal public benefits to a person on the basis of certain cannabis-related conduct or convictions,

--prohibits the denial of benefits and protections under immigration laws on the basis of a cannabis-related event (e.g., conduct or a conviction),

--establishes a process to expunge convictions and conduct sentencing review hearings related to federal cannabis offenses, and

--directs the Government Accountability Office to study the societal impact of cannabis legalization.

Tom Cotton: Joe Biden Will Keep Foreign Drug Dealers in U.S.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) slammed President Joe Biden’s administration amid evidence that his deputies want to minimize the deportation of illegal migrants who are caught dealing deadly drugs.

“It’s the Biden administration policy to allow illegal aliens to stay in America even after they: -Deal fentanyl and heroin -Commit fraud -Commit assault -Drive drunk -Launder money,” Cotton tweeted February 8.

“More than 80,000 Americans died from drug overdoses last year. And the Biden administration just announced that deporting illegal alien cartel members who deal with fentanyl and heroin is no longer a priority for his administration,” he added.

The Washington Post reported February 7 how Biden’s deputies are changing deportation priorities for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency:

While ICE’s new operational plans are not yet final, interim instructions sent to senior officials point to a major shift in enforcement. Agents will no longer seek to deport immigrants for crimes such as driving under the influence and assault, and will focus instead on national security threats, recent border crossers and people completing prison and jail terms for aggravated felony convictions.

“Generally, these convictions would not include drug based crimes (less serious offenses), simple assault, DUI, money laundering, property crimes, fraud, tax crimes, solicitation, or charges without convictions,” acting director Tae Johnson told senior officials in a Thursday email advising them on how to operate while new guidelines are finalized.

“The priority for the enforcement of immigration laws will be on those who are imposing a national security threat, of course, a public safety threat, and on recent arrivals,” Biden spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in the February 8 White House press briefing:

Nobody is saying that DUIs or assaults are acceptable behavior, and those arrested for such activities should be tried and sentenced as appropriate by local law enforcement. But we’re talking about the prioritization of who is going to be deported from the country.

The priority list for deportations also excludes migrants who take American’ jobs and wages. This policy will largely abandon the task of protecting Americans’ right to a national labor market.

Biden has repeatedly declared he wants to make the nation’s immigration system more “fair” to migrants. Since January 20, he has minimized deportations, stopped construction of the border wall, offered an amnesty to migrants, broken anti-migration deals with three counties, and has lowered legal barriers to migration.

However, he has said little or nothing about how he will protect Americans’ rights, wages, safe streets, and reasonable housing from foreign criminals or job seekers. A February 2 statement said:

President Biden’s strategy is centered on the basic premise that our country is safer, stronger, and more prosperous with a fair, safe and orderly immigration system that welcomes immigrants, keeps families together, and allows people—both newly arrived immigrants and people who have lived here for generations—to more fully contribute to our country.

Amid Biden’s inrush of migrants and shutdown of deportations, more than 20 million Americans are unemployed or are stuck in part-time jobs.

Biden is also rolling back protections for American graduates, who have lost at least one million jobs because Fortune 500 CEOs and their subcontractors have hired more than 1 million foreign graduates for jobs sought by Americans.

In a separate tweet, Cotton lambasted Biden’s team for dropping a rule that would protect American graduate from losing jobs to H-1B graduate visa-workers who are willing to work for low wages in the hope of getting green cards:

For years, a wide variety of pollsters have shown deep and broad opposition to labor migration — or the hiring of temporary contract workers into the jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.

Migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.

Migration also allows investors and CEOs to skimp on labor-saving technology, sideline U.S. minorities, ignore disabled people, exploit stoop labor in the fields, shortchange labor in the cities, impose tight control and pay cuts on American professionals, corral technological innovation by minimizing the employment of American graduates, undermine labor rights, and redirect progressive journalists to cheerlead for Wall Street’s priorities and claims.

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) praised President Joe Biden’s soft approach to immigration Tuesday, adding that his government plans to press American voters to not support candidates promising increased border security investments.

During his Tuesday morning news conference, AMLO congratulated Biden for not “mistreating” migrants and claimed the Hispanic population would remember at the polls the way that politicians treated migrants.

“We have a lot of respect for President Biden, among other things because he is the only one of the United States presidents of recent years who did not propose building walls,” Lopez Obrador said. “We give him credit for that, and we give credit to President Biden for no [immigration] raids.”

Lopez Obrador also criticized U.S. Congressmen for blocking Biden’s efforts to “regularize migrants” as had been promised during his campaign. The president also criticized the approach of Republicans calling for stronger border security.

“Because it is very easy to say, ‘We are going to militarize the border, we are going to put up walls,’ seeking easy applause,” AMLO said. “This policy will no longer work.”

Despite previously claiming that he follows a non-intervention approach, AMLO said his government would pressure U.S. voters to fight in favor of migrants.

“Because if there is the mistreatment of migrants and especially Mexicans, we are going to call not to vote for those parties and for those candidates — in the exercise of our freedoms,” Mexico’s president said.

Lindsey Graham proposes a ‘DREAM Act’ amnesty for nearly 2 million illegal aliens

It's been almost three months since the midterms and campaign promises are fading away from the minds.

It's the perfect time for some GOP members to stab their voters in the back.

Graham probably found some free time after striving for the well-being of his main constituents - President Zelensky, the Ukrainian government, the Ukrainian army, and the mercenaries.

Breitbart reported that Graham had joined Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) to propose their “DREAM Act” amnesty.

Graham and Durbin, who hold powerful positions on the Senate Judiciary Committee, reintroduced the amnesty after repeatedly proposing the plan since 2017.

Estimates suggest that almost two million illegal aliens eligible for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program can become citizens.

Graham said DACA illegal aliens  “represent a class of illegal immigrants that have much public support because they were minors brought here by their parents and America has become their home.”

In order to not sound like a complete sell-out, Graham added.

“While I continue to support relief for Dreamers, I hope my Democratic colleagues understand we must repair a broken border and address a tsunami of illegal immigration before that is remotely possible.”

Durban thanked Graham “for his continued partnership in this important bipartisan effort.”

Graham has been attempting this since 2013, when he was part of the notorious ‘Gang of Eight,’ along with GOP Sens. John McCain, Marco Rubio, and Jeff Flake.

The attempt failed.

It led the late great Rush Limbaugh to refer to him as Lindsey Grahamnesty.

So what is DACA about?

DACA is an Obama administration policy implemented on June 15, 2012. DACA prevents the deportation of immigrants who entered the U.S. illegally as minors and offers them work permits. 

Those eligible for this program are referred to as Dreamers, a reference to the DREAM Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act).

Most of these Dreamers were born in Mexico (80.2%), followed by El Salvador (3.8%), and some were born in Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, and Africa.

So can an argument be made that minors who accompanied adult aliens to trespass the border into the U.S. deserve "fairness," i.e., citizenship, because they were victims of unavoidable circumstances?

Before we answer that, let's look at the bigger picture.

If the Dreamers are guaranteed a pathway to citizenship, it sends an open invitation to aspiring violators across the globe to enter the U.S. illegally, too, because of the implicit promise that someday their offspring will be citizens, and by extension, they will, too, based on chain-migration privileges.

Entering the U.S. illegally is a crime.

It may not seem that obvious since the matter has been spun relentlessly by the Democrats into a matter of empathy.

They claim that the illegal aliens are escaping persecution and poverty and hence deserve compassion.

But similar excuses can be made for other varieties of crimes.

How often have we heard the following when any crime is committed:

“Life has been unfair to them.”

“They were born in poverty.“

“The rich need to pay their fair share or this will keep happening.”

“There is the consequence of income inequality.”

The fact remains that life is never ever fair to anyone. Everyone has a reason and a right to complain. Illegals brought into the U.S. as children by their parents have every right to take the matter up with their parents, instead of demand redress from the government. Unfair circumstances in life aren't an excuse to commit crimes, be it trespassing into a country or pilfering from a supermarket. If it were, there would be a societal breakdown.

Breitbart reported other issues ahead if this iteration of DACA amnesty became a reality.

Newly naturalized citizens will have the facility to bring in an unlimited number of non-citizen relatives to the U.S. including those parents who initially broke the law. Estimates say that number could be from 10 million to 19 million foreign nationals.

A DACA amnesty also could cost American taxpayers some $115 billion because it will lead to new enrollments for Obamacare.

Meanwhile, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated that such an amnesty would cost taxpayers $26 billion. That CBO states that about one in five DACA illegal aliens, after an amnesty, would end up on food stamps, while at least one in seven would go on Medicaid.

Biden's open borders are already a grave problem.

Illegal aliens are already a burden on the taxpayers, and the facilities and infrastructure meant for citizens.

Illegal aliens agreeing to work for less than minimum wage will result in the citizen seeing a depression in wages, if not being rendered unemployed.

If the illegal aliens are of the criminal variety, the victims will be citizens.

In the end, every country has laws that have to be followed.

The only way to enter or temporarily work in the U.S. is to apply for a visa, undergo a background check, and sit for a consular interview. The duration of stay and work depends on the visa. 

The only path to citizenship is by naturalization, through marriage, through one's parents, and through military service. Each route has its own set of mandatory requirements.

In a civilized society, lawbreakers must be punished, not incentivized.

This should not be a debate between right and left.

Yet somehow the left, which has become pro-crime, is advocating and incentivizing violations.

It is noteworthy how the left has changed its position on the matter.

Back in 2015, when socialist Bernie Sanders was running for the presidential nomination of the Democrat party, he was asked about open borders.

"No, that's a Koch brothers proposal,” said Sanders curtly during an interview.

Sanders further added: “The idea is a right-wing scheme meant to flood the U.S. with cheap labor and depress wages for native-born workers. I think from a moral responsibility, we've got to work with the rest of the industrialized world to address the problems of international poverty," he conceded, "but you don't do that by making people in this country even poorer."

This was always the Marxist position.

Sanders and the Democrats are singing a drastically different tune now.

They no longer care for the working class who will suffer due to the influx. Their long-term goal is to seal their permanence in power by giving voting rights to illegal aliens, who drown the impact of legacy GOP voters, and who will be a permanent underclass voter base for the Democrats.

The Democrats' plan has successfully been implemented in states such as New York and California, so all they need now is to capture a few more states in order to have total control.

This insanity must to stop.

Lindsey Graham needs to be primaried in 2027 and dumped by President Trump immediately.

Mexican Ambassador: Let’s Restart Mass Migration into U.S.

The United States should reopen itself to migration, amnesties, refugee inflows, asylum seekers, and more temporary contract workers, Mexico’s ambassador to the United States said Tuesday.

The U.S. immigration system “has to be based on facts and realities,” Ambassador Martha Bárcena Coqui told a forum arranged by the National Immigration Forum (NIF). She continued: ‘The facts and realities is the need to protect the most vulnerable, the need to keep open the generosity towards refugees, the need to recognize the complementarity of labor markets and demographic profiles, the need for temporary workers in the United States.”

The United States should not view migration as a security threat, she said, adding, “If you conceptualize migration as a national security issue, if you [push for] securitization of migration, and what is even worse, if you criminalize migration, then your approach always be policing, contentious [and] reduction of migration. So what we need is really to conceptualize migration …  as an economic and social and political phenomena.”

“With all due respect to Madam Ambassador, she should mind her own country’s business, not ours,” responded Mark Krikorian, the director of the Center for Immigration Studies.

“The Mexican ambassador is going to tell us what is in the best interest of Mexico,” responded Rosemary Jenks, policy director at NumbersUSA. “But that doesn’t mean we have to do it — we have to do what’s in the best interest of the United States. of American, of Americans and legal immigrants,” she told Breitbart News, adding:

You know we have the pandemic still raging, we have economic lockdowns still going on, we have unemployment way too high. We have underemployment way too high. We have American citizens hurting. We absolutely do not need to reopen mass immigration — and certainly don’t need to give amnesty and taxpayer benefits to people who came here illegally. If Mexico thinks its plan is to just open up its own southern borders in the hopes that America will open our southern borders, that’s just going to reignite the caravans. I hope that the Biden administration is planning for that because that’s not going to go well, and 2022 is not going to go well for Democrats.

More migrants are coming, the ambassador said, even though the coronavirus crash has blocked the northward flow for the moment:

The root causes of these migrations have [not] disappeared. On the contrary, we are seeing pent up, building pressure. People cannot move now because of the restrictions on movement because of the pandemic. But the root causes are still there, [for example], the drought in Central America  … a hurricane in Nicaragua and Honduras that have totally flooded Honduras.

The United States should amnesty many illegal migrants from all over the world, she said, and also import more migrants by accepting asylum applications at U.S. embassies, so the world’s migrants will not have to travel through Mexico. “What we would like to see, of course, is that the U.S. embassies in Central America could process even more of these requests for asylum, instead of having people crossing through Mexico and asking for asylum at the border.”

The ambassador was invited to speak by the NIF, which is a business-funded activist group that promotes cheap labor migration into jobs needed by lower-skilled Americans and by legal immigrants, and also into jobs that can be automated.

Roughly three million migrants have flooded over the southern border since the rules were loosened by Congress in 2008 and by President Barack Obama’s deputies in 2011. Trump stopped the flow in 2020, but few of the migrants — or of roughly 300,000 younger “Unaccompanied Alien Children” — have been sent home because they are being protected by pro-migrant immigration lawyers, by pro-diversity progressives, and cheap labor employers in sanctuary cities.

The large U.S. population of illegal immigrants helps to push down wages for Americans, push disadvantaged workers out of the labor force, reduce corporate investment in technology and training, and spike corporate sales and profits. The large population also shifts the U.S. politics from a focus on Americans’ jobs and wages, and then towards a politics focused on business demands and the 1950’s claim by elites that the United States is a diverse “nation of immigrants,” not a cooperative nation for all Americans.

The flood of cheap labor that is being promoted by the ambassador would be a disaster for Americans, Jenks said. “They would absolutely destroy the employment opportunities for lower-skilled Americans, particularly for minorities and legal immigrants. It would reduce wages among the people who can least afford reduced wages and put downward pressure on everyone else’s wages. The people who would benefit from it, of course, would be the elites who can hire nannies, maids, and housekeepers, and who go stay at resorts and so on, while the rest of us suffer.”

The ambassador’s statement, Krikorian told Breitbart News, “suggests that the [President Donald] Trump really was getting Mexico to change its behavior [after 2018] and that once Trump is gone, the Mexican approach these issues will revert to form, and they will again usher large numbers of third-country illegal aliens into our country.”

But if Mexico is concerned about the migrants coming up from the South, it can take its own defense measures, said Krikorian.

“As far as refugees and asylees go, Mexico is a signatory to the U.N. Convention on these issues. Mexico is about half the population, maybe a little less, of the United States. It doesn’t take a nearly proportionate number of asylum seekers or refugees [as the United States. So, “Physician, heal thyself,” would be my first response.”

Also, Krikorian added, the ambassador may be overstating the view of the Mexican government. “Whatever the ambassador said, it is an open question whether Mexico will truly open the floodgates again. The country has its own interest in limiting this transit migration because Mexican citizens are getting sick of the migrations. And many of these people end up staying anyway, applying for asylum in Mexico, or just hanging around illegally, and that undermines the job prospects of Mexicans in the same way that it can undermine Americans’ job prospects.”

“The United States is a sovereign nation that should and can have complete control over its borders,” said Jenks. “Regardless of what our neighbors may think, our government owes it to the American people to have an immigration system that benefits America. Period. Full stop.”

Overall, open-ended migration is praised by business and progressives partly because migrants help transfer massive wealth from American wage-earners to stockholders.

Migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.

Migration also allows investors and CEOs to skimp on labor-saving technology, sideline U.S. minorities, ignore disabled people, exploit stoop labor in the fields, shortchange labor in the cities, impose tight control and pay cuts on American professionals, corral technological innovation by minimizing the employment of American graduates, undermine labor rights, and redirect progressive journalists to cheerlead for Wall Street’s priorities and claims.

Kamala Harris Urges Illegal Migrants to Help Elect Joe Biden

Sen. Kamala Harris promised Sunday to reduce detention space for migrants as she asked an illegal immigrant activist to help Joe Biden win the election.

“I’m undocumented … I can’t vote …What can we do during this election to help make sure that we get you elected?” asked Astrid Silva, who was brought into the United States as a child by her illegal migrant parents.

“You can tell people who can vote what life is like for you now, and what life can be like,” Vice President nominee Harris told the Nevada-based political organizer who runs the pro-amnesty Dream Big Nevada group, adding that:

We are committed to shutting down private detention centers and ending policies that have been about separating children from their parents at the border.

Harris’s comments may be a coded message to would-be illegal migrants and their supportive legal-immigrant relatives.

For example, if implemented, Harris’s promise to start “shutting down private detention centers” could cripple border enforcement. If the enforcement agency does not have commercial prisons to hold detainees prior to their asylum hearings, the agency would be forced to release waves of job-seeking migrants into the U.S. labor market.

Similarly, Harris’s promise to end “policies … about separating children” echoes the media-magnified demand by pro-migration activists that officials release migrant mothers and children when they cross the border. That demand would let migrant families freely travel to relatives — including their illegal migrant husbands and fathers — who are working illegally in the United States.

Like Biden, Harris pushed the Cold War “Nation of Immigrants” claim, even though only about 10 percent of people in the United States are legal immigrants:

We want to have a president who understands we are a nation of immigrants. This is a country that was built and that has derived its strength from immigrants coming here over the generations.

Harris also tried to blur the legal and civic differences between illegal migrants, legal immigrants, and American citizens. For example, she told Silva:

Define who you are, and you tell the world who you are. Don’t let anybody ever put you in a box because they have a limited perspective on who can do what and who can be one.

[…]

We are all in this together. And so, chin up, shoulders back, right? We speak our truth and know that there will always be people applauding and supporting that even if you can’t see them at that one moment, know that there are so many of us who are supporting your leadership and the power of your voice. It’s really important.

Harris also claimed President Donald Trump vilified immigrants: “We’ve seen under the current president the kind of vitriol, the kind of hate, the vilification of immigrants in such a horrible way.”

But a Washington Post poll showed in April that Latinos are the strongest advocates for a near-total halt to legal immigration during the coronavirus epidemic and economic crash.

Biden’s 2020 plan promises to “reassert America’s commitment to asylum-seekers and refugees,” wipe out Trump’s asylum reforms, bar any deportations for 100 days, and end migration enforcement against illegal aliens unless they commit a felony.

Biden also wants to let companies import more visa workers, let mayors import temporary workers, and allow an unlimited flow of foreign graduates through U.S. universities into white-collar jobs. Biden would “exempt from any cap [the] recent graduates of Ph.D. programs in STEM fields.”

Biden also wants to accelerate the inflow of chain migration migrants and dramatically accelerate the inflow of poor refugees to at least 125,000 per year.

“The influx of low wage workers from all across the world will drive down incomes, drive down wages, deplete the middle class, bankrupt Social Security, bankrupt Medicare, bankrupt Medicaid, bankrupt federal entitlements, overcrowd schools, and overcrowd every hospital in the middle of a pandemic,” White House aide Stephen Miller told reporters on October 28.

“It is an assault on reason, it is an assault on law enforcement, and it’s an assault on the very idea of having a country, having a Republic,” Miller added. “This is not about left or right or Center. This is about between having a country, or not even having a country.”

  

 What we are seeing here is plain old garden variety Mexican meddling in our internal affairs, this time rooted in some icky festering wounded national pride, some bid from Mexico to assert itself over U.S. laws in the wake of Trump's muscle on Mexico over the illegal migrant surge, using the U.S. courts with their continuous anti-Trump rulings to make itself the sovereign here. Mexico has already sent their illegals and now they want to take over gubernatorially through the courts, which puts this act on a continuum.

Mexico: Where Is Your Shame?

Immigration: Mexico's government gloated triumphantly after a federal judge's injunction blocked Arizona's immigration law. But it's no victory for Mexico. In fact, Mexico's leaders ought to be mortified.

As radical immigration activists crowed with glee and the Obama administration claimed victory, Mexico's government joined the applause. 

Calling Judge Susan Bolton's injunction Wednesday "a step in the right direction," Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa declared: "The government of Mexico would like to express its recognition for the determination demonstrated by the federal government of the United States and the actions of the civil organizations that organized lawsuits against the SB 1070 law."

In reality, it ought to be ashamed. Supposedly framed as an issue of federal power pre-empting state power, it's hardly Mexico's business. But Mexico made a big show of saying its interest was in protecting its nationals from the dreadful racism of Arizona that its own citizens, curiously enough, keep fleeing to.

Espinosa said her government was busy collecting data on civil rights violations and her department had issued an all-out travel warning to Mexican nationals about Arizona. 

That's where Mexico's hypocrisy is just too much.

First, Mexico encourages illegal immigration to the U.S. Oh, it says it doesn't, but it prints comic book guides for would-be illegal immigrants and provides ID cards for illegals once they get here. In Arizona alone, Mexico keeps five consulates busy.

That's not out of love for its own citizens, but because Mexicans send cash back to Mexico that helps finance the government.

Instead of selling its wasteful state-owned oil company or getting rid of red tape to create jobs in Mexico, Mexico spends the hard currency from remittances. It fails to look at why its citizens leave.

According to the Heritage Foundation-Wall Street Journal 2010 Index of Economic Freedom, Mexico's big problem is — no shock — government corruption, where it ranks below the world average.

That's where Mexico's cartels come in.

Mexico's encouragement of illegal immigration undercuts its valiant war against its smuggling cartels. The cartels' prowess and firepower have made them the only ones who can smuggle effectively across the border. U.S. law enforcers say they now control human-smuggling on our southern border.

Feed them immigrants and they grow more cash-rich — and right now, immigrant smuggling is about a third of the cartels' income.

Mass graves and car bombings are signs of criminal organizations getting bigger, and more powerful. Juarez, which has lost 5,000 people this year, bleeds because cartels fight over not just who gets the drug routes, but who gets the illegal-immigrant smuggling routes, too.

Aside from the cartel mayhem in Mexico, the bodies are piling up in the Arizona desert and U.S. Border Patrol rescues of abandoned illegals left to die have risen. 

 It's not the desert's fault, and it's certainly not Uncle Sam's fault, as activists claim. No, it's the fact that Mexicans are encouraged to emigrate. Criminal cartels don't fear abandoning their human cargo in the desert, as long as Mexico does nothing and blames Uncle Sam.

Hearing Mexico's government now cheer the Arizona ruling, which will only encourage more illegal immigration, gives the country's regime a pretty inhuman face. 

If Mexico had any decency, it would do all it could to discourage illegal immigration and keep a respectful silence about Arizona.

It needs U.S. support for its war on cartels. Instead of insulting American citizens, Mexico should confront directly the reasons why its people are so desperate to leave, and do all in its power to destroy the cartels that are slowly killing the nation. That includes defunding the murderous gangs by halting illegal immigration.

Mexico’s President Says Biden Responsible for Migrant Surge at Border

Expectations created by President Joe Biden about better treatment for migrants led to the current border surge, said Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO).

During his daily news conference, AMLO spoke about the ongoing border crisis and said the increase in migrants entering Mexico and heading to the U.S. is partly due to the expectations created by President Biden.

“Expectations were created that with the Government of President Biden there would be a better treatment of migrants. And this has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, wanting to cross the border thinking that it is easier to do so,” AMLO said.

The statements come one day after Mexico’s military confirmed the deployment of 8,700 soldiers to curb the growing number of migrants traveling through the country.

Mexico’s president says he will share with President Joe Biden his willingness to find a way to legalize the flow of migrants from Central America and Mexico as a way to meet American labor needs.

“I have a teleconference with Biden on Monday and we are going to talk about that topic,” President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) said this weekend during one of his news conferences. “Let’s fix the migratory flow, legalizing it, to give guarantees to the workers so they don’t risk their lives, and that their human rights are protected.”

During the conference, AMLO said the U.S. would need about 600,000 to 800,000 laborers per year for economic growth. The Mexican politician brought up the Bracero program when the U.S. provided migrant farmworkers with permits during World War II.

The topic of the migrant workflow had not been previously discussed publicly by the Foreign Relations Ministry or the Interior Secretariat ahead of the virtual meeting between Lopez Obrador and Biden.

The issue comes as Mexican authorities see a dramatic rise in human smuggling activities as thousands of Central American migrants continue to make their way north. Mexican officials predicted a dramatic rise in migratory flows at the start of 2021 due to work shortages from the pandemic and recent natural disasters that shook Central America. Officials in Mexico did not publicly discuss the political effect that a Biden Administration would have on the matter.

Mexican authorities have found several large groups of migrants at hotels or being moved in tractor-trailers in recent weeks. Officials are also seeing a spike in ransom kidnappings where cartel-connected human smugglers hold migrants to further extort their families.
