Chuck Schumer Shuns Another Black Candidate in Democratic Senate Primary
What's happening: Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) has once again made a mockery of his party's so-called commitment to racial diversity by supporting a white candidate over a black rival in a Democratic primary.
• The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), which Schumer oversees, and other Democratic-aligned groups are lining up behind Gloria Johnson, the state representative who recently announced her candidacy for U.S. Senate in Tennessee. Johnson, who is white, recently used the DSCC email list to raise money for her campaign.
• Marquita Bradshaw, a black climate activist, is also running. She has a track record of overcoming the Democratic Party's toxic white supremacy. In 2020, Bradshaw won the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Tennessee by defeating James Mackler, a white man backed by Schumer and the party establishment.
• Johnson was nearly expelled from the Tennessee House of Representatives earlier this year for participating in an insurrection attempt at the state capitol building.
Why it's racist: Schumer's clear preference for white candidates in Democratic primaries suggests a deeply troubling animosity toward black people and a total lack of confidence in the ability of black candidates to win statewide elections.
White power party: The Tennessee primary is the third U.S. Senate contest of the 2024 election in which Schumer and the Democratic Party are supporting white candidates at the expense of their black challengers.
• The Democratic establishment is backing two white candidates—Reps. Katie Porter and Adam Schiff—in the 2024 U.S. Senate primary in California. Rep. Barbara Lee, a black woman who is also running, has complained about her party's racist approach to the contest.
• Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D., Mich.), a white woman with ties to the CIA, is the "consensus candidate" among national Democrats in the race for U.S. Senate in Michigan, despite the fact that two black women, a black man (actor Hill Harper), and an Arab-American businessman are also seeking the nomination.
Legacy of shame: Schumer and the Democratic Party did the same thing in 2020, spending more than $50 million in support of white candidates running against black challengers in key U.S. Senate primaries.
• "Sen. Schumer, for whatever reason, did not want an African American running for Senate in North Carolina," said Erica Smith, a black woman who lost the Democratic primary to establishment choice Cal Cunningham, a white man.
• In Texas, national Democrats backed M.J. Hegar in the primary over Royce West, a black state senator who accused party leaders of "trying to lock African Americans out of the process."
• President Joe Biden's approval rating among black voters has declined significantly since he took office in 2021.
Crucial context: The Democratic Party is best known for supporting slavery and racial segregation.

Pay Their Fair Share’: Socialist Lawmakers Push for ‘Migrant Taxes’ on New Yorkers During Immigration Crisis
Socialist state lawmakers in New York want tax increases to pay for migrants flooding into New York City as the area struggles to accommodate them.
The New York Post reported the news Saturday and quoted state Sen. Julia Salazar (D-Brooklyn), who said:
We should increase taxes because it’s economically just policy to offset all costs for our state to function. I’d say that even if our city and state hadn’t seen an increase in migrants seeking asylum, this moment makes it all the more important for the wealthy to pay their fair share of taxes.
Meanwhile, state Sen. Jabari Brisport (D-Brooklyn) said, “We’re still organizing to tax the rich through the same revenue-raising bills we’ve been fighting for for years.”
Social media users were quick to comment on the Post’s story. One person wrote, “Spoiler, we are already paying for all these migrants with our taxes.”
The sanctuary city of New York City is gearing up to slash overtime for its police officers and city services to foot the bill for tens of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens living off citizens in the area, Breitbart News reported Tuesday.
In August, Mayor Eric Adams (D) opened a migrant camp on Randall’s Island that is expected to cost taxpayers $20 million monthly.
We’re taking away from people who are real New Yorkers,” a Queens woman said when she learned about the move.
“I was born here, on the Lower East Side, and you’re telling me they come first? How is that? I pay my tax money, federal, local, all that beautifulness, and my children don’t get to enjoy New York,” she added.
Adams later offered a dark outlook when it came to illegal immigration, Breitbart News reported September 7.
“Let me tell you something New Yorkers: Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City, destroy New York City. We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month,” he said.

According to the recent Post article, Adams has explained that caring for the migrants flooding the area will add up to $12 billion in the coming three years.
Sanctuary City NYC to Cut Services, Police Overtime to Pay for Migrants
The sanctuary city of New York City is set to cut overtime for New York Police Department (NYPD) officers, as well as city services across the board, to pay for tens of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens living off New Yorkers.
According to the New York Post, Mayor Eric Adams’s (D) office is asking the NYPD, as well as other public agencies like the New York City Fire Department (FDNY), to make plans to dramatically cut their overtime costs.
“The mayor will … issue a directive to implement an overtime reduction initiative for our city’s four uniformed agencies (NYPD, FDNY, DOC/DSNY),” Adams’ office wrote in a memo obtained by the Post. “These agencies must submit a plan to reduce year-to-year [overtime] spending.”
The two other agencies mentioned are the Department of Corrections (DOC) and the Department of Sanitation (DSNY).
Likewise, Adams is directing every city agency to make five percent budget cuts so New Yorkers can afford the $12 billion price tag that comes with the arrival of the more than 110,000 border crossers and illegal aliens that have arrived in the city since the spring of last year.

“While our compassion is limitless, our resources are not,” Adams said:
This is a sobering fact, and that’s why today’s decision was not made lightly. At this time, we are asking all of our agencies to submit a plan to reduce their city-funded spending in each year of our financial plan… [Emphasis added]
Even with the five percent budget cuts and slashing of overtime for NYPD officers and FDNY firefighters, Adams’ office suggests such plans will pay for just two-thirds of the costs associated with illegal immigration to the city.
Adams made national waves last week when he delivered an honest speech to New Yorkers, warning them that illegal immigration “will destroy New York City.”
“It’s going to come to your neighborhoods. All of us are going to be impacted by this,” Adams continued. “I said it last year when we had 15,000. I’m telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew, we’re about to lose.”

New Hampshire’s Kelly Ayotte Sounds Alarm as More Illegal Aliens Caught at Northeast Border Than Prior 10 Years Combined
Former Senator Kelly Ayotte (R), now running for governor in New Hampshire, is sounding the alarm over record-setting illegal immigration at the nation’s northeast border which she says has gone entirely ignored by President Joe Biden’s administration.
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle on SiriusXM Patriot Channel 125’s Breitbart News Saturday, Ayotte said illegal immigration and drug trafficking are so out of control at the United States-Canada border that residents are dealing first-hand with the issue.

“I was up in Pittsburg, New Hampshire, which is the northernmost part of New Hampshire. I met this farm owner up there, she’s got a great family farm, raising her children, it’s a beautiful place, it should be idyllic,” Ayotte said.
“[The farm] borders Canada. They intercepted drugs, her and her husband. There was a drug drop on her property and bear in mind, they’ve owned this property for decades and this is now becoming a huge problem under the Biden administration,” Ayotte continued. “… she’s worried about her kids. She knows that there are illegal immigrants, they’ve come on her property, and you know, they’re armed — they have to be.”

Ayotte noted that in the Swanton Sector of the northeast border, which includes New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire, there have been more than 6,100 illegal aliens captured crossing the border from 76 different countries.
The figure indicates that there have been more illegal aliens caught at the northeast border in the last 11 months than there have been in the prior 10 years combined.
“They’ve literally arrested more in the last 11 months than they had in the last 10 years prior. And the people they’ve arrested … are from 76 different countries,” Ayotte said. “These aren’t Canadians coming over because they want to get New Hampshire maple syrup.”
“This issue is critical,” Ayotte continued. “Gov. [Chris] Sununu asked for more help from the Biden administration and the answer he got was a flat ‘no’ because they obviously don’t care about the border issue. We’ve got rampant drugs coming in and this is a huge issue for any state not only that is on the border but every state in this country.”
To fix the issue, Ayotte said New Hampshire must be a state that disincentivizes illegal immigration by outlawing sanctuary policies and not extending benefits, such as driver’s licenses, to illegal aliens as Massachusetts now does.
“I love our ‘live free or die’ values and what we stand for but that means on immigration, no sanctuary policies, no driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants,” Ayotte said. “These are all things happening in Massachusetts and guess what, Gov. Healey just had to declare a state of emergency because so many illegal immigrants are there because they have sanctuary policies.”
Meanwhile, fentanyl is increasingly wreaking havoc on New Hampshire’s small towns and cities.
In 2022, alone, New Hampshire saw nearly 440 residents die from accidental drug overdoses — almost triple the roughly 160 who died a decade ago.
The main culprit is fentanyl which is smuggled through the southern border by the Mexican drug cartels before being routed to every state in the nation. Last year, fentanyl was responsible for 90 percent of accidental drug overdoses in New Hampshire.

Ayotte said combating fentanyl begins with locking up dealers, for good.
“I want to make sure that the fentanyl dealers understand that if they cross over the border from Massachusetts, they’re going to do real, significant time,” Ayotte said. “We catch you, we arrest you, we’re putting you in prison and that’s something I’m running on — tougher penalties for these drug dealers who are killing people in our state and killing people across this country.”
“In New Hampshire, there was a misguided bail reform … it’s causing a revolving door right now,” Ayotte continued. “It’s causing dangerous criminals to not be held on bail or they get back out on the streets and there have literally been three people who have died as a result of this … I’m pushing for tougher bail laws and tougher penalties for fentanyl dealers.”
The Republican primary for New Hampshire governor takes place September 10, 2024, while the gubernatorial election is set for November 5, 2024.
