Video Shows Michigan High School Student Allegedly Hitting Teacher in Head with Metal Chair

A 15-year-old Michigan high school student is facing felonious assault charges after being caught on video throwing a metal chair and hitting a teacher, ABC 12 reported Saturday. 

The incident happened at Southwestern Classical Academy in Flint on Thursday morning. A video shows two female students shouting at each other before one of them picked up a desk chair and hurled it at the teacher. 

The video shows the chair striking the teacher in the head and causing her to fall to the ground.

“Flint police Chief Terence Green said the school resource officer was called to break up a fight between two female high school juniors and found the teacher lying on the ground with head injuries,” according to the report. 

Both students involved in the altercation were arrested, and prosecutor David Leyton authorized two counts of felonious assault against the girl accused of the throwing the chair, the report stated. 

The teacher was released from the hospital and is recovering, Flint Community Schools said in a statement.

“Superintendent Kevelin Jones said the teacher plans to return to work and the students and staff consider her a hero,” according to the report. “Jones also said the student involved will be held accountable according to the law and the district’s code of conduct.”

At least 17 people were shot, one of them fatally, Friday into Saturday night in Mayor Brandon Johnson’s (D) Chicago.

The one shooting fatality occurred Friday around 11:40 p.m., when a man approached a 45-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman and opened fire, ABC 7/Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The man and woman were standing in “in the 3300 block of West 16th Street” when the gunman approached and the 45-year-old was shot multiple times. He was rushed to a hospital and pronounced dead upon arrival.

The woman was shot once and her wound was not life-threatening.

At least 30 people were shot last weekend in Mayor Johnson’s Chicago, and three of those shooting victims succumbed to their wounds, Breitbart News noted.

According to the Sun-Times, 441 people were killed in Chicago January 1 through September 30.

Republicans Draft Resolution to Expel Jamaal Bowman from Congress

Republicans have drafted a resolution to expel Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) after he allegedly pulled a fire alarm to delay a vote on a bill to avert a government shutdown.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) authored the resolution, which is expected to be formally filed Monday when the House is next in session. Expulsion is the most serious form of disciplinary action available to the House for its own members.

Only five members have been expelled from the House in history.

Bowman’s alleged actions are being investigated by the House Administration Committee and the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) and elicited widespread condemnation from his Republican colleagues.

Rep. Lisa McClain is drafting a motion to censure Bowman, a serious but less severe step than expulsion. She said Bowman’s alleged action “is a felony, plain and simple. USCP had to waste resources investigating rather than actually keeping the Capitol safe. The House must hold Rep. Bowman accountable.”

Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told reporters that the “Ethics (Committee) should look into this,” saying, he will “have a discussion with the Democratic Leader [Hakeem Jeffries] about it, but this should not go without punishment.

“This is an embarrassment. You’re elected to be a member of Congress.”

Bowman reportedly said he “thought the alarm would open the door” and that Jeffries understood it was a misunderstanding.

Tupac Shakur's murder case: Las Vegas police arrest man connected to 1996 shooting

Duane "Keffe D" Davis was taken into custody by Las Vegas police early Friday — 27 years after the crime was committed — and charged with murder with use of a deadly weapon with a gang enhancement.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Marc DiGiacomo said a grand jury had been seated in the case for "several months, and described Davis, 60, as the "on-ground, on-site commander" who "ordered the death" of Shakur. Davis was denied bail by Clark County, Nev., District Judge Jerry Wiese. It's unclear whether Davis, who was arrested while walking near his home in the nearby city of Henderson, has an attorney.

Davis — the uncle of an early suspect in Shakur's death, Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson — has said in past interviews — as well as his 2019 tell-all memoir, Compton Street Legend, that he was in the Cadillac that pulled up alongside the BMW the iconic rap star was in when the gunfire began in September 1996.

Shakur, who was 25, was hit with four rounds and died.

In a 2018 BET interview, Davis implicated his nephew, who had been in an earlier confrontation with the rapper at a casino, saying Anderson was one of two people in the back seat where the shots were fired. Ultimately, however, it is Davis being held accountable.

"For 27 years the family of Tupac Shakur has been waiting for justice," Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill said at a Friday news conference. "While I know there's been many people who did not believe that the murder of Tupac Shakur was important to this police department, I'm here to tell you that is simply not the case."

Lt. Jason Johansson, a homicide officer with the Las Vegas police, characterized Davis, one of the last surviving witnesses to the shooting, as the "leader and shot caller." Johansson said that following Davis's 2018 interview, investigators "knew this was likely our last time to take a run at this case to successfully solve this case and bring forth a criminal charge."

How we got here

On July 17, there was a stunning development in the long-dormant case when police raided the home of Davis's wife.

"LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada, on July 17, 2023 as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation," the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement obtained by Yahoo Entertainment. "We have no further comment at this time."

A warrant obtained by the Associated Press revealed that the home that was searched was connected to Davis, the uncle of early suspect Anderson. Anderson, one of Shakur's rivals, himself denied playing a role in the rap legend's murder after it happened. He died two years later in "an unrelated gang shooting in Compton, Calif."

According to the warrant, detectives searched for items "concerning the murder of Tupac Shakur," and they ended up seizing "multiple computers, a cellphone and hard drive, 'documentary documents,' a Vibe magazine that featured Shakur, 'purported marijuana,' several .40-caliber bullets, two 'tubs containing photographs' and a copy of Davis' 2019 tell-all memoir, Compton Street Legend."

Where the case stands

In July, the department’s Lt. Jason Johansson told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "It has been a while [since Shakur's 1996 murder]. It's a case that’s gone unsolved and hopefully one day we can change that."

Indeed, no arrests were ever made previously and publicly revealed updates in the case have been next to zilch in recent years.

There were few promising signs from the get-go. Just one year after the shooting, LVMPD Sgt. Kevin Manning, who headed the investigation, told the Las Vegas Sun there was so little evidence and so few witnesses willing to speak that the case "may never be solved." Various conspiracy theories have been spun over the years related to the rap icon's death.

A shooting that rocked the rap world

Shakur was shot on Sept. 7, 1996 while in Las Vegas where he attended a Mike Tyson boxing fight at the MGM Grand with Death Row Records founder Suge Knight. After being involved in a scuffle in the hotel casino’s lobby, Shakur was just blocks off the Las Vegas Strip in a convoy en route to Knight’s Death Row nightclub when the black BMW Knight was driving was fired on by someone in a white Cadillac. Shakur was struck four times, including twice in the chest. He died six days later on Sept. 13, 1996 at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, after his mother, Afeni Shakur, consented to have him taken off of life support.

The investigation

In 2002, a two-part investigative report from the Los Angeles Times's Chuck Philips alleged the killer was Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, a Compton Southside Crip gang member who had been attacked by Shakur a few hours earlier.

"When he ran across the lobby of that casino and slugged another gang member, he signed his own death warrant," said former Los Angeles Police Det. Greg Kading, who led a task force to investigate the murder of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. (aka Biggie, born Christopher Wallace). Las Vegas police, however, only interviewed Anderson once, and he was killed in an unrelated gang shooting two years later.

Biggie and Tupac were involved in an ugly public feud known as Hip Hop’s “East Coast-West Coast beef” at the time, and Wallace was gunned down in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997 in a killing that has long been linked to Shakur’s death. Philips’s year-long investigation also incriminated Biggie, alleging that Wallace promised the Southside Crips $1 million to murder Shakur and even supplied the gun used in the killing.

Shakur was 25. Wallace was 24.

Dealing with Consequences

T.S. Eliot wrote, "Half of the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important.  They don't mean to do harm.  But the harm does not interest them.  Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves."  Substitute the word 'consequences' for 'harm' and you have what the sorry excuse who currently occupies the Bully Pulpit is doing today.

Democrats argue for decisions that usually prove counterproductive.  But what is crucial is the people who advocate such policies often never bother to seek evidence of results.  What they advocate is favorable consequences for themselves to make themselves feel superior and/or assuage guilt.  They are not interested in the unintended consequences for others and/or society.  For example, I watched a YouTube video of a Wal-Mart shopper who actually thought she was entitled to steal.  My first reaction was, 'Why does this PoS have the same right I do with respect to voting? Shouldn't some individual or group develop some decision-making process that would exclude her from voting since she decided to act as she did?'

There is precedent -- sorta.  Convicted felons' right to vote are (despite Terry McAuliffe's and Hillary Clinton's efforts) suspended, sometimes permanently.  This suspension applies only to felons (I don't know if the Wal-Mart shopper was a felon or not, but she acted like one).

I realized that a decision process of this sort (one that could be applied to non-felons), regardless of who developed it and whether we voted on it or not, could have numerous consequences.

I then recalled decisions made by Biden that were unhindered by the voting public.  Biden issued seventeen executive orders on his first day in office.  His was a mission to advance his and the far Left's agendas.  (By the way, his sixteenth executive order is ironic.  It's an order to implement an ethics pledge for all executive branch officials.  The pledge included a ban on political interference with the Justice Department and on all officials using their office for personal gain.  Guess he chose to ignore that that one.)

Mark Levin said, "...this man is as close to a dictator as we have ever had."  According to Justin Haskins, "...[Biden] released an executive order covering digital assets, including cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.  Under the far-reaching executive order, a long list of government agencies would develop plans for regulating, studying, and/or monitoring cryptocurrencies and the various exchanges where consumers buy, sell, and trade them."  Result:  ''If a new digital dollar is rolled out, it could substantially reduce individual rights and give the Federal Reserve and the national government significantly more power over the U.S. economy."  Another executive order titled, 'Advancing Effective, Accountable Policing and Criminal Justice Practices to Enhance Public Trust and Public Safety,' "…does more to appease far-left priorities than it does to reduce crime, improve policing, or make our communities safer..."  Consider the crime wave that is currently ruining cities with Democrat mayors.  Far-left Soros funded district attorneys such as Alvin Bragg and Chelsa Boudin and George GascĂłn have made the decision to not prosecute criminals.  As a consequence, crime is rampant and 'Criminal Justice Practices to Enhance Public Trust and Public Safety' are nonexistent.

To say that Biden has removed our opportunity to vote on his decisions concerning his policies would be a major understatement.  But that's only half the story.  Biden is trying to create a consequence-free society.  Decisions have consequences in the real world, but not in Biden-world.  Making decisions without consequences is simply not possible.  Every decision has consequences, be they favorable or unfavorable, expected or not, intended or unintended, or some combination thereof.

For example, consider 'college loan debt forgiveness.'  No students were forced to sign an agreement to repay their loans.  They made decisions to get an education and pay back the debts.  Now many have decided they don't want to pay off the loans.  They want their decisions to have no consequences.

Biden has unilaterally decided to halt production of fossil fuels, enough oil, gas and other energy sources to make the U.S. energy independent.

On the U.S. southern border, seven million people have enter America illegally.  The law is unambiguous, but Biden has decided to ignore the situation and the law.

Concerning the student loans fiasco, the consequence for students who hadn't paid off their loans was unfavorable.  For taxpayers it was favorable, since we didn't have to assume the enormous debt.

Considering fossil-fuel production, the consequence was favorable for 'greenies,' but unfavorable for the U.S. economy as Biden's decision damaged the economy, increased prices for nearly everything, and left us begging for help.  As an example of an unexpected consequence, Biden, who had promised to make Saudi Crown Prince Al Saud a pariah, instead has had to beg for more oil from Saudi Arabia.  He was rebuffed.  Now he is trying to get oil from Venezuela.

Considering the border, an unintended consequence is that terrorists and gang members are entering this country.

Judging the consequences of a decision depends upon perspective.  Consequences may not be immediately apparent, but they're present (a fact Democrats and the far Left don't understand and/or won't acknowledge).  As Thomas Sowell wrote, "There is little hope of changing such people.  But what the rest of us can do is stop gullibly accepting their ego trips as idealistic efforts for others.  Above all, we need to stop letting them morally intimidate us into silence about the actual consequences of their crusades.  The time is long overdue for us to insist that they put up or shut up in terms of hard evidence about results, rather than the pious hopes that make them feel so good." 

Our founding fathers decided the PoS Wal-Mart shopper should have the right to vote regardless of consequences.  However, as John Adams said, "Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."  We are enduring the results of a society that is less moral and less religious.  Making decisions that produce favorable and/or expected and/or intended consequence decrease as levels of morals and religion decline.

So, to quote Thomas Sowell, "It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong."  That's exactly what Biden is doing today.  He continues to make unvoted-on decisions and paying no consequence for them.

Democrat-run Philadelphia endured a second night of mass looting on Wednesday, and video footage shows the chaos at local businesses.

Law enforcement said over 50 people were arrested after the apparently organized groups hit several areas, breaking into stores and stealing, Fox News reported Thursday.

Video footage shows some in the groups leaving stores while carrying black bags filled with items. At one point, several individuals step out of a broken window with bottles of what appears to be alcohol in their arms.

“Oh yeah, the cops coming,” one person is heard saying from behind the camera as the looting continues:

“Suspects also ransacked more than a dozen state-run liquor stores so thoroughly that the state announced it was closing its Philly locations until further notice,” Fox reported, adding that approximately 52 people were arrested as a result and face charges including burglary and theft among others.

On Tuesday night, several businesses in Philadelphia were looted by a group of over 100 juveniles, according to Breitbart News.


“The excuse for all this? A Philly judge dropped the manslaughter charges against a cop who shot a driver. Bodycam footage showed that the driver was hiding a knife,” Breitbart’s John Nolte wrote.

“The officer says he only saw the knife’s black handle and believed it was a gun. The defense said the charges never should’ve been filed, the judge agreed, and the mostly peaceful looting began,” he added.

The New York Post shared video footage of the chaos on Tuesday showing police officers trying to catch some of the individuals. One person off camera is heard cackling while watching the scene unfold:

The clip also shows looters entering an Apple Store while the individual recording shouts, “Free iPhones! Free iPhones!” Moments later, sirens are heard in the background.

Pharmacist and store manager of Patriot Pharmacy Benjamin Nochum said his business was targeted Wednesday, making it the third time in the past few years.

“When looters steal from us, what they don’t seem to understand is that they are also stealing from our neighbors. It makes you question how much longer you can hang on,” he stated.

Alleged Machete-Wielding NYC Professor Shellyne Rodriguez Lands New Job

Fired from Hunter College in May after allegedly harassing students manning a pro-life display and pulling a machete on a New York Post reporter who questioned her about the incident, professor Shellyne Rodriguez has found a new job at Cooper Union.

Rodriguez is listed as an adjunct professor on the school’s website and is on the fall semester’s list of professors at the “prestigious private art school in Manhattan,” the DailyMail reported.  

Rodriguez went viral in May for allegedly cursing at students and vandalizing their pro-life display, Breitbart News reported.

“You’re not educating shit. This is fucking propaganda. What are you going to do, like, anti-trans next? Is that what you’re going to do next?” Professor Rodriguez said to the students. 

She then began shoving the materials off the table. 

“Get this shit the fuck out of here. Fuck this shit,” Rodriguez said. 

Alana Mastrangelo with Breitbart News reported: 

The Hunter College Office of Communications told Breitbart News that “Hunter College takes this matter — and the right to free speech on campus — seriously.”

“Hunter does not tolerate such conduct by faculty. The Provost has completed an investigation and the faculty member has been appropriately disciplined,” the college added.

“In addition, the faculty member has been warned that if the behavior reoccurs, there will be further consequences,” Hunter College said.

Rodriguez was severely reprimanded after the incident, but she was let go after she allegedly pulled a machete on a New York Post reporter who appeared at her apartment to question her regarding it, Breitbart News reported

It is unclear whether or not Rodriguez faced any criminal charges.


Black Lives Matter Activist Pleads Guilty to Fraud for Missing Donations

A Black Lives Matter activist, who was instrumental in the infamous protest that toppled the statue of Sir Edward Colston, has pleaded guilty to fraud after money donated to a fundraising page she established went missing.

Xahra Saleem, 23, who is also known as Yvonne Maina, pled guilty this month to one count of fraud at the Bristol Crown Court after £30,000 in donations from the public disappeared.

Saleem, a founding member of the BLM-offshoot ‘All Black Lives Bristol’ group, had established an online fundraiser in the days prior to the toppling of the Colston statue, in order to allegedly raise funds for the George Floyd-inspired protest.

According to a report from The Times, the fundraiser promised to donate any additional funds to a local charity to subsidise the cost of a trip to Africa for deprived local children in Bristol. However, the youth group, Changing Your Mindset, claimed that it never received the money and raised the issue with local police. The youth group later shut down entirely after reportedly being disillusioned over the incident.

Saleem was charged with fraud “while occupying a position, namely organiser, in which you were expected to safeguard or not act against the financial interests of ABL Bristol”.

“You dishonestly abused that position intending to make a gain, namely used the funds raised for yourself,” the charge added.

While a trial was planned for December, Saleem appeared before the Bristol Crown Court on September 19th to plead guilty to the charge. She will be sentenced next month.

Big City Democrats have essentially decriminalized crime, and now the mass looting/shoplifting that helped destroy Democrat-run cities like San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Portland, Seattle, and Chicago has spread to Democrat-run Philadelphia.

Yep, now the City of Brotherly Love is getting what it voted for:

Several stores in Philadelphia were looted by more than 100 juveniles Tuesday night, according to police.

The Footlocker and Apple stores near 15th and Chestnut and the Lululemon store in Center City were all looted, according to NBC10.

Multiple videos of the looting were posted to social media and show police officers trying to arrest people while windows are smashed and items are stolen.

The excuse for all this? A Philly judge dropped the manslaughter charges against a cop who shot a driver. Bodycam footage showed that the driver was hiding a knife. Oh, and then there’s this from the New York Post:

A popular social media influencer known as “Meatball” livestreamed the rabid looting spree that engulfed Philadelphia’s city center overnight, before she was seemingly arrested while cheering on the marauders.

Meatball, whose real name is Dayjia Blackwell, shared video and photos on her Instagram Stories gleefully documenting the mass plunder of several businesses, including an Apple store, a Foot Locker, a Lululemon and a liquor store. […] “Free iPhones! Free iPhones,” Blackwell cried out, before filming people showing off their stolen electronics.

There’s a whole lot more video…

If there’s one thread that connects all of these videos, it’s that no one appears worried about getting caught or resisting arrest, and most aren’t even afraid to show their face. Why? Because they know they live in a city where Democrats only file charges against police officers, not actual criminals.

To stop Donald Trump’s re-election in 2020, Democrats unleashed this horror on themselves. To stop Donald Trump, arson and looting were decriminalized. To stop Donald Trump, wearing a mask in public became acceptable. To stop Donald Trump, the police were defunded and demoralized. To stop Donald Trump, everyone was locked down and told to work from home, which left downtowns vacant, except for the drug addicts and loonies.

Philadelphia police say 15 to 20 people were arrested, but that means nothing. If the past is prologue in these Democrat-run dystopias, no one will see any serious jail time. I wouldn’t be surprised if her Vice Fraudulency Kamala Harris set up another bail fund to keep the rioting going.

A Game Stop, a Walmart, Foot Locker, and a Family Dollar – also looted. Police believe some of it was organized, that a caravan of vehicles moved from store to store unloading looters and loading loot.

What happens next does not require a crystal ball. On Tuesday, the literal Satan lovers who run the Target Grooming Syndicate announced it was pulling nine stores out of four Democrat-run cities: East Harlem, San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland. Despite hiring security guards and locking up merchandise, the loss from theft was too high. Worse still, when thieves know they can steal with impunity, those thieves show up to steal, and those thieves can become violent. When a Democrat-run government looks the other way, the bad guys come out to hurt the good guys.

I’m telling you right now that if you can get out of these cities, you have to get out of these cities.

This chaos is not a bug; it’s a feature. Democrats are deliberately destroying their cities to consolidate their power. Once all the normal people flee, no one will be left to challenge their power (or dispute the vote counts).

The other thing to remember is that everything is as it was out here in MAGA Country. Normal people of all races and creeds are living normal lives. Don’t be fooled by social media and CNNLOL. This insanity is not everywhere. The real world is still the real world. All the drag queens, transsexuals, looters, Black Lives Matter and Antifa terrorists are in Democrat-run cities.

Democrat-run cities are doomed because Democrat voters are dummies. They are so ginned up by hate, elitism, and their sense of victimhood that nothing – not even the destruction of their home – will wake them up.

Come out to MAGA Land and watch Democrat-run cities get what they vote for.

People should get what they want, and Philly is currently getting it good and hard.

A Houston, Texas, Jack in the Box employee allegedly pulled a gun and shot at a drive-thru customer who complained about not getting curly fries with his combo meal.

A Houston, Texas, Jack in the Box employee allegedly pulled a gun and shot at a drive-thru customer who complained about not getting curly fries with his combo meal.

The Houston Chronicle noted the incident occurred in March 2021 but that surveillance video has been “newly released.”

ABC 13 reported that customer Anthony Ramos and his family pulled up and ordered a “Classic Buttery Jack” combo meal.

An argument ensued with Jack in the Box employee Alonniea Fantasia Ford after being handed the meal and noticing it was allegedly missing the curly fries.

Ford then allegedly “throws ice and condiments” at Ramos, after which she appears to stick a gun out of the drive-thru window and fire two shots.

Ford was charged with “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of deadly conduct.”

The Ramos family attorney, Randall Kallinen, commented on the incident, saying, “Jack-in-the-Box needs to do a background check on employees so as not to expose their customers to someone who would attempt to kill them.”

Black Teens Who Killed White Youth Outside Lebron James’ ‘I Promise School’ Found Not Guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter

Two teens who killed a boy during a fight outside LeBron James’ I Promise school in Akron, Ohio, ended up being acquitted of involuntary manslaughter and instead were convicted of felony and misdemeanor assault on Monday.

Deshawn and Tyler Stafford were acquitted of manslaughter in the death of 17-year-old Ethan Liming, with Deshawn being convicted of felony aggravated assault as well as a misdemeanor count of assault, and his brother, Tyler, only convicted on a single misdemeanor count of assault.

The manslaughter charges were dropped when a jury could not agree on a verdict, causing Summit County Common Pleas Judge Tammy O’Brien to declare a mistrial.

Deshawn could still face up to two-and-one-half years in prison for the felony charge.

The arrests came on the heels of a fight outside the school on June 2, 2022.

The deceased teen, Ethan Liming, and his friends had been driving around shooting a water gun at people, but when they came across the Staffords, a fight ensued. During the fight, Deshawn Stafford punched Liming, causing him to fall to the pavement and hit his head. Liming died from injuries suffered when his head hit the concrete.

The U.S. Marshals Service announced it had arrested Deshawn Stafford Jr., 20, Tyler Stafford, 19, and Donovan Jones, 21, in Akron after homicide warrants were issued for the three. Both Staffords were arrested at a residence in the 500 block of North Howard Street, while Jones was arrested at a home in the 200 block of Crosby Street. The three suspects “are currently being held on charges of murder and felonious assault, with Jones also accused of disrupting public service,” according to WKYC-TV.

According to Ethan’s father, Bill Liming, his son and three other friends, one white and two black, went to the parking lot near the I Promise School to plan the rest of their evening.

It was there that, according to Liming, his son, and his friends encountered four other individuals — three black males and one black female. The two groups engaged in what Liming described as “horseplay.”

“Teenagers were being teenagers,” Bill told the Akron Beacon Journal. “I don’t want to say too much about the investigation. But apparently, some of his friends who were with him were fooling around in the parking lot, and some other people didn’t like it.”

Liming’s body was retrieved from the school property, and it was determined that he died from blunt-force head trauma.

The lawyer for Deshawn Stafford celebrated the ruling that saw his client exonerated from manslaughter and downgraded to an assault charge.

“I hope this verdict allows all the folks who have suffered, all the folks who are hurting … I hope this verdict allows them to get some kind of closure, some kind of peace,” attorney Jon Sinn said, according to WJW-TV.

If I were writing about the following story and the races of the attackers and the victim was reversed, this story would be national news, ambulance chasing black supremacist lawyer Ben Crump would already be in Chicago and white suburban women would be in the streets chanting Black Lives Matter.

But that’s not the case.

The case is that two black men randomly attacked and robbed a lone white man in a Chicago alley in broad daylight as the man was walking and minding his own business.

Video shows the one of the two black men run up on the white guy and begin beating him mercilessly, and then robbed him with the aid of his masked accomplice. Of course, they attacked the man from behind. The two men appear to take the white man’s backpack, whose shoes came off in the struggle.

Surprised the two men didn’t take those as well.

The one man, as previously mentioned, was wearing a mask, but the other didn’t care in the least about possibly later being identified, as he wore no face covering at all. The whole incident was captured on video.

As the caption of the tweet says, “If The Races Were Reversed This Would Be A National News Story…”

And that’s absolutely correct. These two black men were so comfortable violently beating the white man in the video in the daytime, because they know there’s no accountability for many criminals in the city of Chicago. Thanks, Kim Foxx.

As of this writing, there’s no indication that there’s been any arrests in the case. But know that if the races were reversed, there’d be a citywide manhunt already underway (see Jussie Smollett).

 

Mayor Brandon Johnson’s Chicago: At Least 30 Shot During Weekend

At least 30 people were shot, three of them fatally, during the weekend in Mayor Brandon Johnson’s (D) Chicago.

Breitbart News reported that one of the three weekend shooting fatalities was an 86-year-old man, who was shot and fatally wounded Saturday morning around 10:00 a.m. after getting out to his truck to retrieve something.

The elderly man, Charles Hobson Sr., was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he died.

CBS News noted that the next fatal shooting of the weekend occurred at 12:40 a.m. Sunday. A 40-year-old man was shot in the chest by an unknown assailant “in the 9000 block of South Emerald Avenue.” He died at the hospital.

Hours later, at 10:45 a.m., a 24-year-old man was sitting inside his vehicle when another vehicle pulled up alongside him. Two people exited the second vehicle and opened fire. The victim was shot multiple times and died at the scene.

So, we have local black gang associates posting terror threats on social media -- threats of murder, by burning, directed at the women and children family members of white police employees -- immediately before the murder, by burning, of the white teenage daughter of a local police department employee. As for interracial violence generally, blacks disproportionately commit it. Between 2012 and 2015, there were 631,830 violent interracial victimizations, excluding homicide, between blacks

and whites, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Blacks, who make up 13 percent of the U.S. population, committed 85.5 percent of those victimizations, or 540,360 felonious assaults on 

whites, while whites, 61 percent of the population, committed 14.4 percent, or 91,470 felonious assaults on blacks. Regarding threats to blacks from the police, a police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer.

Anti-cop activist Shaun King says that his involvement in the campaign around the Jazmine Barnes murder was not driven by reports that a white man had killed the seven-year-old girl, who was gunned down in Houston on December 30. According to Barnes’s mother and 15-year-old sister, the white driver of a pickup truck had pulled up next to the family’s car before opening fire. The accusation set off a frenzy of hate-crime allegations and blanket coverage by the New York Times. King offered a $100,000 reward to anyone who located the suspect. 

As it turned out, Jazmine Barnes was killed by two black men, who opened fire on her mother’s car because they thought that they were targeting enemies of their gang. King passed along a tip about the real killers to the Houston police, and now says that he merely “internalized the pain of the family and tried to search as if it were my own child who was killed.” Race, in other words, had nothing to do with his activism. 

It’s worth remembering, though, the many other black children who have been victims of drive-by shootings without leading King to launch a national crusade.

A sampling: in March 2015, a six-year-old boy was killed in a drive-by shooting on West Florissant Avenue in St. Louis, as Black Lives Matter protesters were converging on the Ferguson, Missouri, Police Department to demand the resignation of the entire department. In August 2015, a nine-year-old girl was killed by a bullet from a drive-by shooting in Ferguson while doing her homework in her bedroom, blocks from the Black Lives Matter rioting thoroughfare. Five children were shot in Cleveland over the 2015 Fourth of July weekend. A seven-year-old boy was killed in Chicago that same weekend by a bullet intended for his father. In Cincinnati, in July 2015, a four-year-old girl was shot in the head and a six-year-old girl was left paralyzed and partially blind from two separate drive-by shootings. In Cleveland, three children five and younger were killed in September 2015, leading the black police chief to break down in tears and ask why the community only protests shootings of blacks when the perpetrator is a cop. In November 2015, a nine-year-old in Chicago was lured into an alley and killed by his father’s gang enemies; the father refused to cooperate with the police. All told, ten children under the age of ten were killed in Baltimore in 2015; twelve victims were between the age of ten and seventeen. 

In 2016, a three-year-old girl in Baltimore was partially paralyzed by a drive-by shooting. In Chicago in 2016, two dozen children under the age of 12 were shot in drive-bys, including a three-year-old boy mowed down on Father’s Day 2016 who is now paralyzed for life and a ten-year-old boy shot in August; his pancreas, intestines, kidney, and spleen were torn apart. A Jacksonville 22-month-old was shot to death by a passing car last June. In September, three men killed three-year-old Azalya Anderson in a drive-by in Sacramento, and a week before Christmas in Bridgeport, a 12-year-old boy was shot and killed on his way home from the candy store in a drive-by shooting.

Why did King let these shootings of black children go by without responding as he did to Jazmine Barnes’s murder? Could it be because the perpetrators were black? You could end all white shootings of black children tomorrow and it would have zero effect on the death rate of black children by homicide, because such white-on-black shootings are extremely rare. Moral abominations, like the 2015 Charleston church massacre by white supremacist Dylann Roof, are aberrations that belong to the outermost lunatic fringe of American society. The country’s revulsion at the Charleston carnage was immediate and universal, resulting in a movement to banish the Confederate flag, embraced by Roof as a white supremacist symbol, from official sites. 

If Shaun King and other Black Lives Matter activists really want to save black children from the trauma of urban violence, they should put their efforts into rebuilding inner-city culture—above all, by revalorizing a married father as the best gift a mother can give her child. Fantasies about white violence against “black bodies” are a distraction from what is actually happening on American streets.

Walter Williams tackles the elephant in the room on crime

Dr. Williams is a well known conservative economist and longtime John Olin Chair faculty at George Mason University in eastern Virginia, author of 12 books and syndicated columnist.  In the past, he has been substitute host on the Rush Limbaugh radio program.  He is almost like family to me, and I have benefited from his essays and books over the years.  This past week, I saw and read his essay on disparities in crime rates among races that was picked up by Military in its October 2019 issue.  What got Dr. Williams going was the article by  Matthew DeLisi of Iowa State U and John Paul Wright of the U of Cincinnati titled "What Criminologists Don't Say and Why."

Dr. Williams confirms that the writers are right about the liberal tilt of criminologists — "If criminologists have the guts to even talk about a race-crime connection, it's behind closed doors and in guarded language.  Any discussion about race and crime ... can mean the end of one's professional career."  

Dr. Williams points out teen black-on-white predatory behavior — chronicled in detail by many, particularly Colin Flaherty, whose investigative reports appear frequently (more than 100) at American Thinker — cannot be reported, mentioned, or considered by the media, politicians,  criminologists, commentators, politicians, even law enforcement people without risking being called racist, the easy epithet used to enforce a ban on talking about the realities of racial disparities in crime and the increasingly violent nature of black violence against whites — the knockout game, polar bear hunting, flash mob violence against people and property.

Referencing the Wright and DeLisi report, Dr. Williams comments on another reality: that the rate of black homicide and armed robbery as well as other violent crimes are as is as much as 15–30 times more than whites, for example, and he points out the silliness of criminologists' claims that mass incarceration rather than criminality has decimated the black community.  He favorably quotes Wright and DeLisi when they say, "What they [criminals] did, in reality was to prey on their neighbors."

Dr. Williams returns to a theme he has explored many times before in this essay and commentary when he points out that the black family of the past was two parents and stable, even back to days of slavery, and that the black community was moral and law-abiding.  "The strong character of black people is responsible for the great progress made from emancipation to today. ... [T]oday's conduct among black youth wouldn't have been tolerated yesteryear."

My regret is there aren't enough Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell types to engage the nutty attitudes of liberal chatterbox experts.

The FBI released its official crime tally for 2016 today, and the data flies in the face of the rhetoric that professional athletes rehearsed in revived Black Lives Matter protests over the weekend.  Nearly 900 additional blacks were killed in 2016 compared with 2015, bringing the black homicide-victim total to 7,881. Those 7,881 “black bodies,” in the parlance of Ta-Nehisi Coates, are 1,305 more than the number of white victims (which in this case includes most Hispanics) for the same period, though blacks are only 13 percent of the nation’s population. The increase in black homicide deaths last year comes on top of a previous 900-victim increase between 2014 and 2015.

Who is killing these black victims? Not whites, and not the police, but other blacks. In 2016, the police fatally shot 233 blacks, the vast majority armed and dangerous, according to the Washington Post. The Post categorized only 16 black male victims of police shootings as “unarmed.” That classification masks assaults against officers and violent resistance to arrest. Contrary to the Black Lives Matter narrative, the police have much more to fear from black males than black males have to fear from the police. In 2015, a police officer was 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male was to be killed by a police officer. Black males have made up 42 percent of all cop-killers over the last decade, though they are only 6 percent of the population. That 18.5 ratio undoubtedly worsened in 2016, in light of the 53 percent increase in gun murders of officers—committed vastly and disproportionately by black males. Among all homicide suspects whose race was known, white killers of blacks numbered only 243. 

Violent crime has now risen by a significant amount for two consecutive years. The total number of violent crimes rose 4.1 percent in 2016, and estimated homicides rose 8.6 percent. In 2015, violent crime rose by nearly 4 percent and estimated homicides by nearly 11 percent. The last time violence rose two years in a row was 2005–06.  The reason for the current increase is what I have called the Ferguson Effect. Cops are backing off of proactive policing in high-crime minority neighborhoods, and criminals are becoming emboldened. Having been told incessantly by politicians, the media, and Black Lives Matter activists that they are bigoted for getting out of their cars and questioning someone loitering on a known drug corner at 2 AM, many officers are instead just driving by. Such stops are discretionary; cops don’t have to make them. And when political elites demonize the police for just such proactive policing, we shouldn’t be surprised when cops get the message and do less of it. Seventy-two percent of the nation’s officers say that they and their colleagues are now less willing to stop and question suspicious persons, according to a Pew Research poll released in January 2016. The reason is the persistent anti-cop climate. 

Four studies came out in 2016 alone rebutting the charge that police shootings are racially biased. If there is a bias in police shootings, it works in favor of blacks and against whites. That truth has not stopped the ongoing demonization of the police—including, now, by many of the country’s ignorant professional athletes. The toll will be felt, as always, in the inner city, by the thousands of law-abiding people there who desperately want more police protection.

A new study affirms what many public policy analysts say is intuitive — that unstable family structure, including chaotic households and single-parent homes, is a primary factor in racial disparities in school behavior and suspensions.

The study, conducted by senior fellows Nicholas Zill and W. Bradford Wilcox at the Institute for Family Studies, asserts education policymakers “must recognize that social and psychological problems in youth may manifest themselves at school but have their origins in family situations over which the school has little or no control.”

The authors find in their new analysis of the National Household Education Survey (NHES) that, in 2016, about 24 percent of black elementary and high school students had been suspended at least once, while eight percent of white students and only four percent of Asian students had the same experience.

 

The researchers note the NHES shows “black students are far more likely to be living apart from their married birth parents in the home (72%) compared to white students (37%) or Asian students (26%).”

 

“These family structure differences, then, are likely to play a role in inter- and intra-racial disparities in student conduct and discipline,” the authors state, and add:

Indeed, among black students who do live with both married birth parents, suspension rates are less than half as large as those for black students living in other family types: 12% versus 28%. The suspension rate for black students living in intact families, 12%, is also less than the suspension rate for white students from non-intact families, 13%.

 

The study also found that family structure even accounts for more of the racial disparities in school suspensions than socioeconomic factors.

When the researchers controlled for family structure, they discovered the racial disparities in school suspensions reduced by 55 percent. Controlling for socioeconomic status reduced the racial differences by only 38 percent.

“These results, then, suggest that family structure is a signal factor in accounting for real differences in school conduct and school suspensions,” the authors state. “This is especially noteworthy because discussions related to racial disparities in school discipline often overlook the role of family structure and highlight socioeconomic explanations.”

Zill and Wilcox assert that, while examples of racism exist, “there are legitimate reasons for believing that some of the racial differences in school suspensions and discipline are based upon real, not just perceived, differences in students’ behavior”:

We focus here on the possibility that some of these differences are related to family factors, including notable differences in family structure by race. Students who come from chaotic homes, single-parent families, or non-intact families are less likely to get the consistent attention, affection, and discipline they need to flourish and develop self-control. Their families typically have less money, which affects the quality of their neighborhoods and their neighborhood peers, which is also an important influence on school conduct. And they are also more likely to be exposed to conflict, stress, frequent moves, and neglect—all risk factors for delinquent and disruptive behavior. Indeed, our data indicate that rates of school contact for student misbehavior are nearly twice as high among students living with separated or divorced parents as among those living with stably married parents. And they are higher still among students who live apart from both biological parents, being cared for instead by grandparents or foster parents.

The researchers say that, in order to see a drop in school suspensions among black children and adolescents, black family life must be stabilized and reinforced:

Such efforts should include criminal justice reform, ending marriage penalties in means-tested policies, subsidizing the wages of low-income workers, and launching local and national campaigns directed by black religious, civic, and cultural leaders to strengthen marriage in the black community. Efforts like these are needed because, our research suggests, increasing the number of African American children who are raised by stably married parents would dramatically increase the odds that black girls and boys steer clear of the principal’s office—and increase the odds they flourish in school, avoid contact with the criminal justice system, and, later in life, excel in the labor force further down the road.

“[S]tronger black families would go a long way towards reducing racial disparities in school discipline,” Zill and Wilcox assert.

The study comes as Obama-era holdovers and other progressives continue the narrative that racial disparities in school suspensions and discipline are due to systemic factors such as institutional racism.

The Obama Departments of Education and Justice, under Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Attorney General Eric Holder, issued public school guidelines that claimed students of color are “disproportionately impacted” by suspensions and expulsions, a situation they said led to a “school-to-prison pipeline” that discriminates against minority and low-income students.

The policy, however, essentially blamed systemic racism for the fact that black and other minority students have been punished and suspended more than white and Asian students. Recommended remedies for the problem included eliminating suspensions for unacceptable behavior by minority students and urging, instead, their participation in “restorative talking circles” and “positive behavior interventions.”

In December 2018, the Trump administration revoked the Obama-era policy that urged public schools to employ these more lenient forms of discipline for students of color and of other minority groups.

The U.S. Departments of Education and Justice rescinded the Obama administration’s 2014 “Dear Colleague Letter” that a federal school safety commission said “may have paradoxically contributed to making schools less safe.”

The outcry from parents, teachers, some media outlets, and many education analysts and stakeholders has been piercing, with most pointing to the rise in “dangerousness” in public schools.

Nevertheless, in July, Democrat members of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission urged the White House and Congress to continue the Obama-era race-based discipline policy.

The commission’s report, titled “Beyond Suspensions: Examining School Discipline Policies and Connections to the School-to-Prison Pipeline for Students of Color with Disabilities,” stated, “[D]ata have consistently shown that the overrepresentation of students of color in school discipline rates is not due to higher rates of misbehavior by these students, but instead is driven by structural and systemic factors.”

The commission’s report was released as the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) issued its analysis indicating a rise in serious incidents of violence in the nation’s public schools:

Even a Democrat state lawmaker — New York State Sen. Leroy Comrie — and Teamsters President Gregory Floyd, who represents school safety officers — referred to the Obama-era policy as one that has led to “chaos” and a lack of “accountability” for dangerous behavior.

Two members of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission — Peter Kirsanow and Gail Heriot — dissented from the commission’s majority report.

Kirsanow wrote at National Review the report is “essentially a defense of the Obama Department of Education’s 2014 ‘Dear Colleague’ letter that used disparate-impact theory to interpret racial disparities in school discipline as evidence of racial discrimination.”

To progressives, “any racial disparity necessarily means invidious racial discrimination,” Kirsanow asserted, adding:

It’s undisputed that black students, as a group, are disciplined more than white students. For the commission majority, this is evidence of racially disparate treatment, as it’s an article of faith that discipline disparities aren’t due to disparities in behavior.

Kirsanow observed the commission’s report ignored key statistics in order to craft its narrative of racial discrimination against students of color.

He pointed to his colleague Heriot’s statement in which she said, “In the report, the Commission finds ‘Students of color as a whole, as well as by individual racial group, do not commit more disciplinable offenses than their white peers.’”

“That would be a good thing if it were true, but there is no evidence to support it and abundant evidence to the contrary,” she asserted, adding that what accounts for differing rates of misbehavior among students of color “likely” includes “differing rates of poverty, differing rates of fatherless households, differing parental education, differing achievement in school, and histories of policy failures and injustices.”

Kirsanow called for those truly concerned about improving education in the United States to “disregard” the report released by the majority of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission.

“Claiming that racism or dislike of children with disabilities accounts for disparate rates of discipline only stokes resentment and erodes personal responsibility,” he asserted. “The supposed cures of ‘restorative practices’ and ‘positive behavioral interventions and supports’ only make it more likely that children in minority neighborhoods who want to learn will be less able to do so, and that teachers and children will be at the mercy of school bullies.”
