Joe Biden's nightmare coming to life: RFK, Jr. all but announces third-party run for the presidency

Well it happened.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is all but certain to dump the Democrats and run for president as an independent.

According to the New York Times:

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hinted strongly on Friday that he would run for president on a third-party ticket instead of continuing his long-shot Democratic primary challenge to President Biden, a move that would set off alarms among Democrats worried about its potential to cause chaos in November 2024.

Mr. Kennedy, in a video released by his campaign, teased a “major announcement” in Philadelphia on Oct. 9, promising to speak about “a sea change in American politics” and dropping clues that he would be continuing his presidential campaign outside the Democratic Party.

“How are we going to win against the established Washington interests?” Mr. Kennedy says in the video. “It’s not through playing the game by the corrupt rules that the corrupt powers and the vested interests have rigged to keep us all in their thrall. Instead, we’re going to have to rewrite the assumptions and change the habits of American politics.”

“What I’ve come to understand after six months of campaigning: There is a path to victory,” he declares at another point, saying that the more he sees the inherent goodness of the American people, “the more the path to victory becomes visible.”

Which is Joe Biden's worst nightmare come true

Democrats worry that a third-party candidate in a general election will pull votes away from Biden, who is facing low approval ratings, and help elect the eventual Republican nominee in 2024. The same concerns were expressed after Cornel West announced he would run as a Green Party candidate. And now the fears are growing as Biden remains neck-and-neck with the leading GOP contender, former President Donald Trump, in hypothetical matchups.

Kennedy is an appealing candidate for Democrats because of his refusal to go along with their suffocating narrative. Yes, he has some very leftist positions on things such as abortion, which makes him impossible for a conservative to vote for. But he's the man who has questioned the establishment's vaccine narrative regarding the COVID vaccine, and despite efforts to silence and ridicule him, was right all along -- and courageous to boot. He believes in climate change, which is a negative, but also recognizes cost-benefit analyses regarding policy around it, something entirely absent elsewhere on the left with a sense of reasonable compromise. He favors ending the open border which all by itself is a recognition of reality. He escapes the "dynasty" charge for being a scion of a famous political family, by having been publicly derided by some of them. One can see why he's attractive, not just for those reasons but also because he comes off as very nice, refusing to get into ad hominem personal attacks on even Republicans as well as Democrats, and is a fitness buff to boot, always an extra plus.

Polls show he has the support of as much as 30% of Democrats, and that isn't all that surprising. Having gone to the Democrat Convention of 2008 in Denver, I got to meet a lot of Democrats, nice Democrats, from places like Colorado and Illinois, and Vermont and upstate New York and yeah, they were genuinely moderate. (Some, with a little tweaking, would make pretty good Republicans, actually). Someone like Kennedy could easily peel away a lot of these voters, and if not a lot of them, a few of them, which from Joe Biden's point of view, would be just as bad. That's because he can't afford to lose any of them. He's five to ten points down in the polls with President Trump with Democrats in turmoil and Election Day is coming fast.

I think it could be a lot of them though -- and as Kennedy notes in his statement, he seeks a new way of running, because the obvious problem for him is that Democrats rig elections, pulling dirty tricks not just on Republicans but on their fellow Democrats who get in their way. Their rigging and cheating of Bernie Sanders of the nomination in the last two elections is Exhibit A. In 2020, Bernie had all kinds of support and appeared to headed to the nomination, but was suddenly rigged out of it when all significant Democrats dropped out of their race at once and suddenly united behind Joe Biden as of Super Tuesday. They also conducted under-the-table rigging that has since been exposed to deny him the nomination and this can't have been lost on Kennedy.

That's what a party gets -- and deserves, when it blandly and nakedly engages in cheating.

The Bidenites are gaslighting to the public that Kennedy is an insignificant candidate and nothing to be concerned about, but that's belied by Joe Biden's spiteful and dangerous reponse to Kennedy's candidacy: By refusing to extend to him Secret Service protection, despite his heightened risk profile, with both a father and an uncle gunned down by assassins in the 1960s, and a long list of documented weirdos extending threat to Kennedy that the Secret Service already knows about -- the New York Post has a list of the known threats here. And, there has already been at least one incident from these would-be assassins, who was intercepted by Kennedy's private security guards.

Big support. Family history. Weirdos on the march. Known attempts. And Joe Biden, who's never met a dollar he didn't want to spend, won't extend Secret Service protection to a man who's uniquely vulnerable to assassins? That's evil.

If it's such a non-threat, why the spiteful response from Biden? It all goes to confirm that Joe Biden has a nightmare on his hands and is lashing out in the vicious way that comes natural to him. With Trump, coordinated kitchen-sink prosecutions. With RFK, a mysterious unwillingness to extend to him basic routine safety. His vicious dog is an indicator of his vicious master.

But Kennedy has support and enough people who agree with him to make a difference. It's good he's doing this and he should be treated with respect. Let's hope that with President Trump's strength in the polls, that's enough to take Biden down and propel Trump to victory.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) subpoenaed Hunter and James Biden on Thursday, as Congress looks to discern to what extent President Joe Biden is tied up in his family’s overseas business deals.

Throughout their investigation into the Bidens, House Republicans have revealed significant evidence showing Joe Biden’s involvement in the family business, including, but not limited to: photostextsvideobank records, an audio recording, alleged bribes, along with IRS and former business partner whistleblower testimonies.

It took Congress 315 days into its investigation to subpoena the two central characters in the Biden business; these are some of the questions they should have to answer:

1. The Bidens were paid tens of millions of dollars from various foreign entities — what services were you paid for?

2.

3. Have you ever paid for anything for Joe Biden? Have you ever given money to Joe Biden? If so, for what/how much?

4.

5. Have you ever shared a bank account with Joe Biden? Did Joe Biden ever have access to your bank account?

6.

7. How many trips have you taken on Air Force One? What were the destinations of those trips and who did you meet while on those trips?

8.

9. Do you currently have any business deals with foreign nationals or foreign entities? Are you currently being paid by any foreign nationals or foreign entities?

10.

11. Have you ever advised Joe Biden on policy while he is president?

12.

13. Why were you not paid directly, as opposed to an LLC under another name?

14.

15. Why was money from foreign business deals dispersed to various family members, including children?

16.

17. Are there any instances where U.S. government officials were involved in your services? Who are they?

18.

19. On how many occasions has Joe Biden met with individuals you were engaged in business with? How many of those instances were with foreign nationals?

In the process of the investigation, the House Oversight Committee unveiled several tranches of Biden business bank records. Those showed the Biden business received at least $20 million from business schemes in Romania, China, Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. In total, nine Biden family members received payments from the family foreign business ventures, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren. Hunter is reported to have paid for home repairs on President Joe Biden’s Delaware residence and other bills. Hunter Biden is also seen lamenting about having to pay half his salary to his father, in a text message conversation with his daughter.

Joe Biden has been photographed multiple times with his family’s business associates.

Hunter Biden now has an art business, fetching six-figure sums for his amateur work to allegedly anonymous buyers. One of his buyers is reported to have visited the White House 13 times.

Hunter maintains a close relationship with his father, with whom he frequently travels and, according to a report in the New York Times, to whom he is an “informal advisor.”

House Oversight Committee chair James Comer (R-KY) subpoenaed James Biden’s Lion Hall Group and JBBSR, Inc., entities on Thursday because the committee could not identify “legitimate services provided by James Biden’s companies.”

Comer’s subpoena appears to be directed at obtaining records linked to President Joe Biden’s corporation, “CelticCapri Corp,” which received nearly $10 million in 2017 without specifying revenue line items. “So that’s an LLC account. It wasn’t a shell company — that was a real LLC account with more earnings in there than what we can find. So that is an account we plan to subpoena as we follow the money,” Comer said last week.

James Biden, an often overlooked member of the Biden family, is President Joe Biden’s younger brother and Hunter Biden’s uncle. James and Hunter were business partners with CEFC China Energy Co., an organization closely aligned and linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP.)

While Hunter’s complex web of wire transfers from CEFC received much attention in recent years, Comer expanded his focus to James Biden’s entities. Those entities received at least 20 wires totaling $1,398,999 through Hunter’s entities, according to the 2020 Senate Report by Sens. Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson:

[T]here is also evidence that Hunter Biden moved large sums of money from his firm, Owasco, to James Biden’s consulting firm, the Lion Hall Group. Between Aug. 14, 2017 and Aug. 3, 2018, Owasco sent 20 wires totaling $1,398,999 to the Lion Hall Group, a consulting firm that lists James Biden and his wife, Sara Biden, on the bank account. This transaction was identified for potential criminal financial activity. These transfers began less than one week after CEFC Infrastructure Investment wired $5 million to Hudson West III and Hudson West III sent its first payment of $400,000 to Owasco. Most of the payments from Owasco to the Lion Hall Group had vague notes in the memo lines, 15 of which simply indicated that they were for further credit to James Biden; however, the memo line for one of the payments read “HW3,” which indicates some of the transferred money could be from Hudson West III. When the bank contacted Sara Biden regarding the overall wire activity, she stated that the Lion Hall Group and Owasco provide international and business consulting and that the Lion Hall Group was assisting Owasco with an international client through a contract that had since terminated. Sara Biden told the bank that she would not provide any supporting documentation, and she also refused to provide additional information to more clearly explain the activity. Consequently, the bank submitted the account for closure.

Hudson West III also sent funds directly to the Lion Hall Group. According to records on file with the Committees, James B. Biden is the principal contact for the Lion Hall Group, and between January 2018 and October 2018, Hudson West III sent the Lion Hall Group outgoing wires totaling $76,746.15 with the memo, “office expense and reimbursement.”These transactions illustrate a direct financial link between Hudson West III (which was connected to CEFC, the Chinese government, and Gongwen Dong) and James Biden.

On Aug. 17, 2017, three days after the first transfer from Owasco to The Lion Hall Group, it was publicly announced that Ye’s CEFC Energy was in talks to purchase a stake in the Russian state-owned energy company Rosneft, which, as noted, later fell through.

Through the Biden family’s suspicious activity reports (SARs), the committee discovered in March that Biden associate Rob Walker received a $3 million wire transfer from CEFC. In turn, four Biden family members — Hunter, James, Hallie, and an unidentified “Biden” — received a collective $1.3 million cut from the $3 million wire transfer.

“The Bidens are the best I know at doing exactly what the chairman wants from this partnership,” Hunter told a CEFC associate in 2017.

CEFC, closely linked to the CCP and Chinese President Xi Jinping, was chaired by Ye Jianming, a Hunter associate. Ye is a key individual in the Biden family’s Chinese business. Ye paid Hunter a $1 million retainer fee for legal services in 2017. Hunter also received a large diamond from Ye in February 2017 worth an estimated $80,000. Ye “had direct abiding and deep ties to Chinese intelligence when they were arranging these ideals for the Bidens,” according to Breitbart News senior contributor and Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer.

Breitbart News reported in June the Biden family business received a total of $5.1 million through multiple accounts within days of Hunter Biden’s 2017 WhatsApp messages to a CEFC associate. In the first text, Hunter demanded to be paid with Joe Biden “sitting” next to him. “I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled,” the screen capture shows. “Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight.”

A few days later, Hunter asked a second CEFC business associate for $10 million, noting the Biden family is best at “doing exactly what the chairman wants.”

That same year, in 2017, Hunter told whistleblower Tony Bobulinski in a text exchange that he did not want to register as a foreign agent on behalf of CEFC. Now-special counsel David Weiss told a Delaware judge in July that FARA charges against Hunter were on the table. Weiss charged Hunter in August with three gun violations.

Biden Selling out the U.S.

By Clarice Feldman

The Biden impeachment investigation began this week. If your source of news is CNN,MSNBC, and the Big Four TV networks, you didn’t know about this, the fourth such inquiry in U.S. history, because they blacked it out. Here’s a handy source to the workings of the House Oversight Committee which you might want to keep for reference.

It apparently wasn’t very significant to the press. Not like the round-the-clock coverage of the lie that Trump was colluding with Russia, a lie generated by Hillary Clinton and megaphoned by them. Have they noted that the FBI agent who helped launch the probe into this alleged collusion was ironically on the payroll of a Russian and an Albanian? He has admitted he was on the payroll of a rich Russian and is set to admit being the recipient of an Albanian payoff.

Former high-ranking FBI agent Charles McGonigal, who last month copped to New York charges of conspiring to violate US sanctions while working with a Russian oligarch [Oleg Deripaska] is set to plead guilty Friday for accepting secret payments from an ex-foreign intelligence agent.

McGonigal, 55, will appear before US District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly in Washington, DC, to enter his plea on nine counts of falsifying records, concealing material facts and making false statements, court filings show.

The former FBI special agent in charge served as counterintelligence chief in New York from 2016 to 2018 — and helped launch a probe into the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia to get “dirt” on Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton before the 2016 election.

McGonigal allegedly took $225,000 from an ex-Albanian intelligence operative, identified in European media as Agron Neza, and met with the nation’s prime minister, Edi Rama, while working for the bureau.

He initiated the lucrative arrangement in August 2017 — and it continued beyond his retirement from the FBI in September 2018, according to his January indictment.

He was not the only one in D.C. on the payroll of foreign governments.

Professor Jonathan Turley has set out ten reasons why the impeachment inquiry is justified and in this list, you can see the multiple ways President Biden sold out our interests to Ukrainians and Chinese.

· Hunter Biden and his associates were running a classic influence peddling operation using Joe Biden as what Devon Archer called “the Brand.”…millions were generated for the Bidens from some of the most corrupt figures in the world.

· Some of the Biden clients pushed for changes impacting United States foreign policy and relations, including help in dealing with Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin investigating corruption.

· President Biden has made false claims about his knowledge of these dealings repeatedly in the past, including insisting that he had no knowledge of Hunter’s foreign dealings which Archer has declared “patently false…”

· The President had been aware for years that Hunter Biden and his uncle James were accused of influence peddling…

· President Biden was repeatedly called into meetings with these foreign clients and was put on speakerphone. He also met these clients and foreign figures at dinners and meetings.

· Emails and other communications show Hunter repeatedly invoking his father to secure payments from foreign sources…

· A trusted FBI source recounted a direct claim of a corrupt Ukrainian businessman that he paid a “bribe” to Joe Biden through intermediaries.

· Hunter Biden reportedly claimed that he had to give half of his earnings to his father and other emails state that intermingled accounts were used to pay bills for both men…

· At least two transfers of funds to Hunter Biden in 2019 from a Chinese source listed the President’s home in Delaware…

· Some of the deals negotiated by Hunter involved potential benefits for his father, including office space in Washington. At least nine Biden family members reportedly received money from these foreign transfers…

I don’t imagine for a minute that these payments are unrelated to Biden’s secreting of classified documents in unsecured locations at his home and in the Penn Biden Center. Paul Sperry reports this week that these documents “include national defense information related to China.”

And then there’s evidence that the government of Iran, the most serious threat to our interests in the Middle East, has placed those promoting its interests in key places in the Biden Administration. Earlier we learned that Biden’s Iran envoy Robert Malley is under investigation, his security clearance revoked, and he has been suspended from the State Department for mishandling classified information, the suggestion being that he shared this information with the Iranian Government. This week, Semafor and Iran National report that some of Malley’s acolytes are “linked to a pro-Iranian echo chamber” and have actively been promoting Iranian interests since at least 2015.

Emails that the outlets obtained show that Iranian government officials internally claimed credit for cultivating a network of Western scholars whom the country’s foreign ministry leaned on to promote its message internationally during its nuclear negotiations with the Obama administration. The program was called the Iran Experts Initiative.

The IEI members allegedly laundered the regime’s talking points, publishing op-eds, giving interviews with news outlets, and seeking the input of regime officials on their public engagements.

Two of the scholars involved in the program, Ali Vaez and Ariane Tabatabai, have close ties to Malley. He hired Tabatabai to join his office at the start of the Biden administration; she subsequently moved to a role within the Pentagon.

Vaez, meanwhile, is a longtime expert on Iran policy at the International Crisis Group think tank. Malley, who worked with him at ICG, tried to bring him on board at State -- but was blocked from doing so when Vaez failed to obtain a security clearance for the role, according to Iran International. Yet even after he was denied clearance, Vaez continued to write Malley’s tweets from his perch outside of government.

Why that’s a problem should be self-evident… Throughout the talks surrounding the 2015 accord, Tabatabai and Vaez were in constant contact with officials on the Iranian foreign ministry’s payroll, not only asking them their views on potential speaking opportunities, but also giving them the chance to review and suggest changes to their writing on the Iran negotiations…

Even if, for the sake of argument, there is some innocent interpretation of these interactions, the views expressed in the messages were disqualifying on their own merits.

The Iran International report described one email exchange between Vaez and Zarif in 2014, after the foreign minister had expressed disapproval of a report that Vaez’s organization had published regarding Iran. Vaez responded to Zarif, saying that he was eager to assist Iran…

Washington’s pro-Iran engagement machinery has already cranked into overdrive, calling the reports wrong or, as one of its members put it, a “depressing, McCarthyistic campaign.” But none of the reporting has been refuted, even by its targets….

The State Department and the Pentagon, meanwhile, defended Tabatabai and said the clearance process had been properly conducted….

During a press briefing yesterday, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller went on the offensive, implying that the reporting was irrelevant because the events described took place nearly a decade ago. He also declined to give an update on Malley’s status….

The State Department needs to give Congress a full accounting of Malley’s rocky tenure in the administration.

Hussein-Abdul Hussein explains how serious this is.

My take on this Semafor and IranIntl stories is that either Malley, ICG, and his coterie of assistants are too naive, or they think that Americans are too dumb and will buy their cover story. In dictatorships like Iran, there are no think tanks, scholars, journalists or independent opinion or thinkers. Every word that is said or printed is approved by the intelligence agencies, and often "leaked" by them. You know how Fareed Zakaria and/or Christian Amanpour interview Iran's president every year? That'd never happen if the Iranian intel agencies thought, for a second, that these CNN anchors would ask hard questions that might make the Iranian president look bad. Writers in dictatorships (and fans of dictatorships in the West) are often given leeway, and they internalize censorship and start self-censoring, becoming aware of what the rulers like and what they dislike. When I was a journalist in Lebanon, every time I interacted with the Iraqi Embassy staff (I was a dual national back then) I assumed each one of them was an intel operative, and that every word I said was being recorded and documented, and whatever they shared with me was instructions, not suggestions. The day after Saddam fell on April 9, 2003, I published an op-ed in NYT (when it was still pro-democracy and liberty) called it My First Day of Freedom. I said it was the first article with my name on it and without fear that whatever I say would be, one day, held against me. That a bunch of Americans thought that they were freely exchanging ideas with Islamist #Iran regime apparatchiks is a horrible cover story. If it is not a cover story, then those who've been running our U.S. policy on Iran are clueless about how autocracies work.
