Dear Hispandering President Obama WHY DO JOBS GO TO ILLEGALS FIRST?

Dear President Obama

Dear President Obama:

I'm planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me.

We're planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements.

We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas, and laws.

I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Calderon, that I'm on my way over?

Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. Please print all Mexican government forms in English.

4. I want my grandkids to be taught Spanish by English-speaking
(bi-lingual) teachers.

5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one of the flag poles at their school.

7. Please plan to feed my grandkids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but I don't plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won't make any special effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put U.S. flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.

13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice and never say critical things about me or my family, or about the strain we might place on their economy.

14. I want to receive free food stamps.

15. Naturally, I'll expect free rent subsidies.

16. I'll need Income Tax credits so although I don't pay Mexican taxes, I'll receive money from the government.

17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican Government pays $4,500 to help me buy a new car.

18. Oh yes, I almost forgot; please enroll me free into the Mexican Social Security program so that I'll get a monthly income in retirement.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all his people who walk over to the U.S.from Mexico. I am sure that President Calderon won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

Thank you so much for your kind help. You're the man!!!

All the Mexicans line up on Wednesday to fill their new cars and trucks with free food. It isn't rotting crap either. However as a disabled American I cannot partake since I own a house. Cool huh! All these government aid programs benefit illegals. The new numbers of hungry Americans released today show the highest numbers EVER.

Illegal Aliens Moving to Texas in Wake of Tough Oklahoma Law
A Texas-based television station reported last week that experts believe that as many as one million illegal aliens have moved to Texas from neighboring states as those states “toughen up on immigration.” (NBCDFW, November 17, 2009).

The report highlighted the neighboring state of Oklahoma, which in 2007 began implementing enforcement-oriented legislation. This legislation:

Made it a felony for any person to transport, harbor, or shelter an alien in reckless disregard for their illegal immigration status;
Required the state to deny any public benefits to illegal aliens in the country – including driver’s licenses – that the state is not required by federal law to provide;
Gave state police the power to check the immigration status of anyone arrested for driving under the influence or for commission of a felony;
Required state police to detain illegal aliens and transfer them to the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); and
Required public employers in Oklahoma to use the E-Verify system to electronically determine the work authorization status of their employees. (HB 1804 Summary; CNN, November 5, 2007; See also FAIR’s Legislative Update, November 5, 2007).
The fact that illegal aliens are leaving Oklahoma for states with more lax approaches to immigration enforcement reaffirms the enforcement strategy that FAIR has advocated on the national level for years: attrition through enforcement. (See FAIR’s Attrition through Enforcement page for more analysis).

Massachusetts Governor NEW AMERICANS AGENDA - or really expanding the MEXICAN WELFARE STATE?

Massachusetts Governor Pushes for Driver’s Licenses and Tuition Breaks for Illegal Aliens
Last week Governor Deval Patrick unveiled a state-commissioned report that recommends driver’s licenses and in-state tuition for illegal aliens in Massachusetts. (The Boston Globe, November 17, 2009). The 56-page report, known as the New Americans Agenda, includes 131 recommendations for integrating immigrants into economic and civic life in Massachusetts. (See New Americans Agenda). However, the Agenda is not limited to helping immigrants who cross our borders legally, but specifically advocates for measures that will benefit illegal aliens and undermine our immigration laws.

The Agenda was created by the Governor’s Advisory Council for Refugees and Immigrants, and makes no effort to distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants, who are seemingly all “New Americans.” (See New Americans Agenda). The 131 recommendations include providing more English classes for immigrants and training public school teachers to teach immigration lessons. Daily News Tribune, November 19, 2009). The Agenda also suggests expanding financial aid and in-state tuition at state colleges and universities to all immigrants, regardless of legal status. (See New Americans Agenda). As to the recommendation that illegal aliens should be allowed to obtain driver’s licenses, the authors acknowledge that the federal REAL ID Act is a barrier and advocate for efforts to repeal the statute. (The Boston Globe, November 17, 2009; New Americans Agenda). Despite the hurdle of repealing a federal law, the Agenda adamantly argues that licenses should be given to illegal aliens. There is no suggestion that existing immigration laws be enforced.

The Advisory Council’s proposals have already faced criticism from lawmakers and activists in Massachusetts. Senate Minority Leader Richard Tisei called the report outrageous, and Senator Scott Brown, who is running for U.S. Senate, responded that “Government should strictly enforce the law, not ignore it with a wink and a nod, or even worse, pass laws that condone illegal behavior.” (Boston Herald, November 18, 2009; Daily News Tribune, November 19, 2009). Other opponents to the proposals argue that illegal aliens should not receive the same benefits as legal residents, and many Massachusetts residents remain resistant to granting in-state tuition or driver’s licenses to undocumented residents. (The Boston Globe, November 15, 2009). Although a bill to provide lower tuition rates to illegal aliens failed in 2006, last week Governor Patrick publicly renewed his support for legislation extending in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens. This prompted the state Republican Party to issue a statement criticizing the administration’s position. (Boston Herald, November 17, 2009).

Clearly an advocacy document, the New Americans Agenda urges the state to push for comprehensive immigration reform at the federal level with suggestions more akin to finger-pointing than legislative proposals. The authors allege, “These anti-immigrant voices have created a poisonous atmosphere around the immigration debate and unfortunately have often overwhelmed legitimate public discussion on flow, status and the best way to incorporate newcomers.” (See New Americans Agenda).

Patrick called the report a “values statement” and has not specifically endorsed any of the recommendations. (O Journal, November 20, 2009). Instead, he has given his cabinet 90 days to draft a plan to improve the lives of all immigrants in Massachusetts, who will benefit whether they are lawfully present in this country or not. (The Boston Globe, November 17, 2009).

House Judiciary Republicans Hold Immigration Forum on Capitol Hill
On Thursday, November 19, Republican Members of the House Judiciary Committee held a forum entitled “American Jobs in Peril: The Impact of Uncontrolled Immigration.” The forum allowed several experts to offer testimony regarding the negative consequences that unrestricted mass immigration – both legal and illegal – has had on American workers.
House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Lamar Smith (R-TX) opened the hearing by discussing data that the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had released earlier in the week. Smith pointed out that, while the nationwide unemployment rate has increased more than 60 percent from Fiscal Year (FY) 2008 to FY 2009, the number of criminal arrests, criminal indictments, criminal convictions, and administrative arrests of illegal alien workers as a result of ICE worksite enforcement operations had all decreased by at least 58% during that same time period. (House Judiciary Committee – Minority Press Release, November 18, 2009). Smith argued that with 16 million Americans out of work, the Obama administration should be increasing worksite enforcement to free up jobs held by the estimated eight million illegal aliens currently working in the United States.
Four expert witnesses testified at the hearing. The first was Dr. Carol Swain, a professor of Political Science and Law at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Swain’s testimony focused on the unemployment rates of African Americans and native-born Hispanics – two groups she said were particularly hard-hit by the current recession. Dr. Swain noted that “[r]acial and ethnic minorities are overrepresented among Americans suffering from high levels of unemployment,” and added that “[i]t is this group of native-born workers who are most adversely impacted by competition from unauthorized workers.” Dr. Swain then called on “Democrats and Republicans, members of the Congressional Black and Congressional Hispanic Caucuses to join forces in pressing for the enforcement of existing immigration laws and regulations already on the books.” The professor recommended that E-Verify – the online, electronically operated system that allows employers to quickly and easily confirm the work authorization status of their new hires – “should be made mandatory and expanded across the nation.”
The professor recommended that E-Verify – the online, electronically operated system that allows employers to quickly and easily confirm the work authorization status of their new hires – “should be made mandatory and expanded across the nation.”
Camarota noted that, over the past four decades, the United States has “witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of immigrants (both legal and illegal) arriving.” Camarota pointed out that “almost all economists agree that less-educated workers have done very poorly in the labor market over the last four decades as immigration has increased.”

Steven A. Camarota, the Director of Research at the Center for Immigration Studies, was the next witness to testify. Camarota noted that, over the past four decades, the United States has “witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of immigrants (both legal and illegal) arriving.” Camarota pointed out that “almost all economists agree that less-educated workers have done very poorly in the labor market over the last four decades as immigration has increased.” Echoing Dr. Swain’s testimony, Camarota then highlighted “significant research showing that immigration has reduced employment and wages for less-educated natives.” Camarota also dismissed the claims of special interest groups that have advocated for amnesty and large-scale increases in legal immigration, pointing out that “[t]here is no evidence of a labor shortage at the bottom end of the labor market.”
Roy Beck, President of NumbersUSA, testified next and highlighted three “key numbers.” The first number was eight million, the Pew Hispanic Center’s estimate as to the number of illegal foreign workers holding American jobs. (Pew Hispanic Center, April 14, 2009). Beck’s second number was 75,000, the estimated number of permanent work permits issued to working-age immigrants in the month of October. (DHS – Office of Immigration Statistics, March 2009). The third number was 190,000, the number of American jobs eliminated in the month of October. (Bureau of Labor Statistics, November 6, 2009). Accordingly, Beck argued, the federal “government added 75,000 more permanent workers to compete with 16 million unemployed Americans for 190,000 FEWER U.S. jobs.” (Testimony, November 19, 2009).
The final witness to testify at the forum was Jerry Kammer, a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies. Kammer highlighted two separate reports discussing how local labor markets were affected by immigration enforcement. (See reports from July 2009 and March 2009). Kammer discussed how worksite enforcement operations conducted at seven meat packing plants in seven states had resulted in the arrests of thousands of illegal alien workers, providing “an opportunity to test the claim, often heard in the immigration debate, that many American businesses have to hire illegal immigrants because Americans are unwilling to do the work.” Kammer pointed out that the meat packing plants filled the jobs formerly held by illegal aliens with American citizens and legal immigrants, and that immigration enforcement had led to increased wages and improved working conditions at the plants in question. (Testimony, November 19, 2009

By Roy Beck, - posted on NumbersUSA

Examples of insanity from just last week that further prove U.S. leaders don't understand the pain of 10.2% unemployment:

INSANITY EXHIBIT A: Sec. of State Hillary Clinton went to the Philippines to promise to bring more of its workers to compete with Americans.

The ABC News report shows the story was even crazier than that. It began with Clinton lecturing the University of St. Tomas in Manila about the fact that the Philippines needs to stop exporting so many of its workers, especially the educated and trained ones. She was giving wise support to a movement within that country to persuade ambitious, energetic Filipinos to find ways to contribute and serve their own country and people.

The Philippines needs you.

-- Hillary Clinton

What a great thing to say. But then some other brain seemed to take over Clinton's mouth when she was asked when the U.S. is going to change its immigration policy.

We’re hoping that we can achieve comprehensive immigration reform, which is something that I feel strongly about. . . . We have so many priorities. I can’t even adequately describe what it was like coming into office eight years after the prior administration, when problems have been stacked up. It felt like there were thousands of planes circling in the air that we have to bring safely to a landing, and immigration reforms is one of those. . . . We hope to get to comprehensive immigration reform and this issue will be part of the legislation that we introduced.

-- Hillary Clinton

Got that? While explaining how she had worked so hard for "comprehensive immigration reform" as a Senator and a Presidential candidate, she promised to push through a law that will entice millions more of the most enthusiastic citizens of the Philippines to abandon their families, communities and country to take jobs from U.S. workers!

INSANITY EXHIBIT B: Top U.S. immigration official Napolitano claims her enforcement is working against illegal immigration and, thus, the nation needs to bring in more foreign workers BECAUSE THE U.S. ECONOMY IS SO BAD!

The logic is so convoluted that I'm sure many Americans just passed over some of the craziness in her highly reported speech this week pledging to push an amnesty and major increase in immigration as a top priority in 2010.

First, she ran down a list of what she said were huge advances in enforcing immigration laws.

The head of the Department of Homeland Security claimed that Senators who voted against the amnesty in 2007 had said they would vote for one later if the feds could prove they could enforce the law. So, she argued, based on her amazing record of stopping illegal immigration and driving illegal aliens out of their jobs this year, "comprehensive immigration reform" ought to pass in 2010.

Hmmm, haven't we spent most of the year counting the ways that Janet Napolitano and the Obama Administration have stopped worksite raids, watered down 287(g) agreements and tied the hands of local officials, halted the no-match letters that send illegal aliens scampering for the exits, and many more examples of deteriorated enforcement?

Moreover, the immigration debate in 2007 happened during a period of historically high levels of illegal entry into the United States. Two years later, because of better enforcement and the current economic circumstances, those numbers have fallen sharply. The flow has reduced significantly – by more than half from the busiest years, proving we are in a much different environment than we were before.

-- Janet Napolitano

Let's see if I've got this right: Because the economy is so bad and jobs are so scarce that fewer foreign workers are breaking the law to come here, Napolitano says we should give permanent work permits to 7 million current illegal foreign workers.

And it got worse.

Businesses must be able find the workers they need here in America, rather than having to move overseas.

-- Janet Napolitano

Let me get this straight: First she implies that any business in America right now can't find workers? And she also seems to suggest that if pay is so low, working conditions so rotten and benefits so scarce that no American will work for a business, that business has to be provided with a foreign semi-slave? That is the Obama Administration's idea of the U.S. competing in the global economy?

In the midst of the bad economy that is keeping illegal immigration lower, she pitched "comprehensive immigration reform" to dramatically increase the numbers of new legal foreign workers to be brought in permanently each year. Is she aware that the nation's high unemployment rate is probably Pres. Obama's biggest domestic problem right now?

INSANITY EXHIBIT C: Former Bush Administration and Mexico officials and a panel of elites agrees that Mexico should stop the mass illegal migration into our country -- AFTER we give an amnesty to the millions of illegals already here.

The bi-national task force was co-chaired by Robert C. Bonner, a top customs official for both Bush Administrations.

The Washington Post reported this conclusion of the task force:

If the United States legalizes most of its illegal immigrants and allows for a flexible flow of legal workers, Mexico should stop illegal immigration from its side of the border, the panel said.

OK, if this panel of experts from big-name universities, think tanks and government agencies believes that Mexico will be able to stop the illegal flow AFTER an amnesty, why not just do it now!!!!

But like most of our nation's elites, these experts can't imagine that it would be a good thing for 7 million unemployed Americans to have the jobs that 7 million illegal aliens currently hold.

And notice that the amnesty isn't enough. Mexico shouldn't be expected to stop encouraging and helping its citizens to break our immigration laws to take jobs from U.S. citizens until we dramatically increase the number of Mexicans legally allowed to take jobs from U.S. citizens.

INSANITY EXHIBIT D: The Census Bureau is enlisting foreign consulates to help count illegal aliens next year.

The Los Angeles Times reported:

In an effort to allay any fears between the immigrant community and federal authorities, officials with the 2010 Census met with consuls of several Latin American countries to ask for support in their communities to spread the word about the importance of being counted.

Does anybody worry a little about the signal that is being sent to illegal aliens. How are they supposed to know that the American people -- and U.S. laws -- want them to go home, when federal officials ask their home country governments to lobby them to step forward to cooperate with federal officials BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR -- THE GOVERNMENT WILL DO NOTHING TO INTERFERE WITH YOUR ABILITY TO ILLEGALLY TAKE JOBS FROM U.S. CITIZENS.

The immigration status of the individual is an issue that has generated some fear among immigrants', said Eddie Bedon, Ecuador’s Consul General. 'The Office of the Census has assured us that the confidentiality of the information will be safeguarded.' . . . 'For Ecuador, the information gleaned from the census will be very important. The statistics regarding the number of Ecuadoreans who live and work here will help us meet their needs, and defend their rights and interests'.

Mighty glad that Census is using taxpayer money to work with foreign governments to defend the full rights and interests of their citizens who are breaking our laws and illegally driving up the American unemployment rate.

William Jarquin, Consul of El Salvador, also affirmed that his government is committed to working with the census. 'For Salvadorans it is extremely important because we need to know just how many of us are out there'.

Well, folks there are a million stories of insanity in The Naked City in which the emperor and most federal politicians and officials wear garments spun with invisible logic and see-through compassion -- these were just four of them.

127 Minutes With Lou Dobbs
Suddenly more famous than ever for leaving CNN, the longtime anchor is free at last to crusade for his country (President Dobbs?!?!) and peddle his made-in-the-USA vanity merch.

(Photo: Patrick McMullan )
It’s almost 2 p.m. on the seventh day of the rest of Lou Dobbs’s life, and the 64-year-old newsman wanders into his midtown radio studio looking rheumy-eyed and disheveled. His pin-striped shirt is creeping out of his pants, and his loosened silk tie slowly swings back and forth like an old dog’s tail. “I just got back from a two-hour session with the New York Times editorial board,” says Dobbs wearily, a thin strand of straw-colored hair falling over his forehead. He lets out a little chuckle. “There were a couple people there who didn’t really know the issues and didn’t add anything, but that’s okay.”
Dobbs resigned from CNN a week before. He was the last remaining original anchor on the network, but its executives wanted him to tamp down his on-air crusading. Dobbs thinks the country is on an express train to hell because of illegal immigration, Washington’s abandonment of the political middle (as he sees it), and most urgently, Obama’s incompetence. Dobbs also helped legitimize the birther movement, which somehow combined all three of these themes. “CNN and I were just heading in different directions,” says Dobbs diplomatically, perhaps influenced by his reported $8 million severance.
After over 30 years in the business, Dobbs is a relatively recent convert to the Glenn Beck School of Broadcasting. His political views are not as easy to peg as, say, an Olbermann or an O’Reilly—he has written that banning gay marriage is a waste of time, for example—so his anger is of an odd middle-of-the-road-rage variety. He considers himself “Mr. Independent.” Just before the broadcast begins, I ask him if it might be just a wee bit manufactured. But Dobbs claims nothing but sincerity. “These are the most perilous times of my lifetime, and that includes the Cold War,” he says. “With my listeners, I sense outright fear; people are scared, and I can’t tell them that their fear is wrong.”
As his radio show begins, his voice immediately swells about 50 decibels. “Oh, yeah, not just fighting, folks, not just fighting but winning … It may not always feel like it … we may be engaged in a strategy of incrementalism, but by God we’re winning!” Later he adds, “If you’ve missed my interviews with Bill O’Reilly and Matt Lauer, those videos are also up on Lou for you to see and to relive … Check out the LouDobbs .com store. By the way, it is one of the few places … where you can see only merchandise produced in the United States of America.”
Dobbs gives a sermon ticking off his major talking points: a Washington that doesn’t work for the little people, the disconnect between the elite and the real economy, and the perils of Obama in general. He derides the administration’s concept of “creating and saving jobs.” “My God! Who came up with that,” he says mournfully. He mockingly plays a pro-health-care-reform ad where kids are talking about not having insurance, commenting, “God help us.”
Calls trickle in, and in standard talk-show-radio format, they are all pro-Dobbs; many urge him to run for office. (“I’m considering a lot of things,” he tells me later.) Shortly after he resigned, the New York Post plugged a rumor that he might run for Senate in New Jersey, where he lives on a 300-acre horse farm in Sussex County. “I got a good title for you: President Lou Dobbs,” says a woman caller. In the control room, an engineer adjusts a knob and “Hail to the Chief” begins to play in the background. “You tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth,” she adds.
Dobbs tells a caller that we have to believe again in American exceptionalism. But isn’t he against our Middle Eastern military adventures, which are predicated on the idea that we can fix the world’s problems because, well, we’re special? Isn’t that a contradiction? “We’re doing it all wrong,” he says. “It’s like I have an alcohol problem and I announce, ‘First, I’m going to solve your drug problem.’ We have to rebuild a ‘we can’ spirit, but it has to be done at home.” Dobbs thinks we have to fix ourselves first. “When did America become afraid of rolling up its sleeves and getting to work? I’m an impatient man when it comes to these things.”
During a break in the show, I point out that surely his horses require patience. He smiles. “But there’s one key difference. You have one expectation of a horse’s intelligence and another expectation of a man’s intelligence.” Dobbs lets out a laugh. “Maybe that’s my mistake.”
Afterward, he continues his farewell-to-CNN media tour with an appearance on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart. I ask him if he was nervous. “He’s vicious, an ugly, mean-spirited man,” says Dobbs, half-joking. “And I happen to be one of his biggest fans. I know I’m going to be the victim, but it gives me the best seat in the house.”

All That "CHEAP" Mexican Labor is BANKRUPTING US!

TRUE COSTS: Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc. Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or 6.00/hour (in reality I've witnessed many working under the table for $12-15/hour). At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an "earned income credit" of up to $3,200 free. He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent. He qualifies for food stamps. He qualifies for free (no deductible, no CO-pay) health care.
