On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Breitbart News senior contributor Peter Schweizer said he reads President Biden’s statements about his son Hunter’s deals as a declaration that “it’s going to be business as usual in the Biden administration as far as these deals are concerned.”

Schweizer said, “Joe Biden has said there are going to be no sketchy overseas deals during his second term. Here’s the problem: He does not believe that the early deals that Hunter was involved in, the China deal, Burisma, he’s never described those as sketchy. So, I read that as saying, it’s going to be business as usual in the Biden administration as far as these deals are concerned.”

In one-party states such as the old PRI-ruled Mexico, the stealing tended to start late. Before a Mexican president was escorted out for the next, he and his would sweep the presidential palace for everything not nailed down -- the lightbulbs, the toilet seats, the doorknobs and more. There were exceptions, but it was generally the known narrative. In more than one Latin American country, the last-minute asset grab on the way out actually had a name -- "La Pinata." After all, as former PRI mayor of Mexico City, Carlos Hank Gonzalez, used to say: "A politician who's poor is a poor politician." 

Which brings us to Joe Biden, and his family's unusually fast scramble to profit from his public office right out the gate.

Son Hunter still has his 10% China equity fund stake, contrary to what had been reported, and a new art gig just perfect for bringing in money from non-transparent sources, as the New York Post, in this excellent report notes, all because his blow-pipe 'art' done as his personal art therapy is somehow so very valuable. 

Brother Frank, meanwhile, is advertising his connections to old Joe for Florida law firm he's connected with, using Joe's name in a bid to drum up business. As New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin reported:

The latest sordid example involves one of Joe’s younger brothers, Frank Biden, appearing in a Florida law firm’s ad — on Inauguration Day no less. The ad used the president’s name to draw attention to the Berman Law Group’s class-action suit against sugar cane growers.

“The two Biden brothers have long held a commitment to pushing environmental issues to the forefront,” says the ad. “The president-elect has vowed to rejoin the Paris Agreement and wants to set ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets.”

The ad, first reported by CNBC, appeared in the Daily Business Review and carried a picture of Frank Biden and quotes him saying, “My brother is a model for how to go about doing this work.”

How touching. And shameless.

And it seems to be having a knock-on effect as Vice President Kamala Harris's stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, an art student (which generally isn't the most employable of professions), has suddenly gotten a fancy modeling contract, to be a 'style icon,' which hadn't been her forte until the establishment noticed she was close to power. Now they're gushing about her, selling her as stylish as emperor's new clothes. Kamala Harris, meanwhile, might just owe someone a favor. 

It's happening, Goodwin observes, because the Bidens have been doing it for decades, and never with any consequences. Now that Joe's 'the big guy' and not a mere vice president, for them it's all the better.

Which is true enough as far as it goes, but still doesn't entirely explain the speed of the influence-peddling and pocket-lining -- why, contrary to the Mexican and Latin American model -- did the rush to grab money start on day one? 

With these questionable acts starting early -- despite Joe's call to brother Frank to 'watch yourself,' what seems a distinct possibility is that the family members think the gig is not going to last so the time to act is now.

Maybe they're betting Joe isn't going to last for one reason or another. That might explain why they are rushing to scarf up all they can without covering their tracks. They're like fund managers divesting a stock  --- quickly, and all at once. Fund managers buy stocks quietly and gradually on expectations the price will go up, but when they think it's heading down, they don't play around, they dump it all at once and don't care who's watching.

That kind of desperation seems to be evident in House Biden's quick bid to cash in all at once, too. Do they know something we don't? Do they expect their window of opportunity will be short? How is it they can jump up so fast to cash in, even against warnings from Joe, who after all, assured the voters last fall with this malarkey:  

“My son, my family will not be involved in any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict, with inappropriate distance from the presidency and government,” he said.

Even with the spotlight on, for them, it's as if the walls are closing in and Gotterdammerung is beckoning. If that's not a vote of low confidence in the durability of Joe and his presidency, what really is?

Democrats are openly arguing that more wage-cutting migrants should be imported to shrink the inflation that is threatening President Joe Biden’s political future.

The pro-migration LatinoRebels.com website reported the migrants-reduce-inflation claims on December 2:

Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) understands inflation at the immigrant community level. The three-term Congressman from Los Angeles has a diverse immigrant constituency from Koreatown to Eagle Rock, Boyle Heights to Downtown.

“If you have more people that are allowed to work in this country, then there’s gonna be less of a tight labor market,” said Gomez on Thursday, echoing Warren.

The Democrats’ top advocate for amnesty and migration, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), also backed the argument, according to Bloomberg: “Asked if immigration parole proposal in [the pending Build Back Better bill] would decrease inflation, Durbin says ‘Oh most certainly … If there are more workers filling those jobs, it’s deflationary.'”

“Not enough people are seeking jobs. … As a consequence, that drives up the cost of doing business and the cost to the consumers. If there are more workers doing their jobs, it’s deflationary,” Durbin said, according to Latinorebels.com.

The Democrats’ support for using migrants to cut Americans’ wages comes after a host of media and advocates argued that inflation should be curbed by immigration.

“A tight labor market is the way less-skilled workers increase their wages,” Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies, responded. He continued, “Why would a Democrat — of all people — favor lowering or holding down the wages of working people through immigration? The answer is immigration is more important [to them] than anything, including the wages of working people.”

The Democrats “are saying the quiet part out loud,” Krikorian said.

However, the LatinoRebels.com site noted that Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) dodged the question: “‘I reject the false notion that the only way to keep consumer prices low is to rely on low-wage, unregulated labor,’ said Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH). ‘More stable and reliable work is the key to future supply chain resiliency.’”

Most GOP legislators also dodge the link between wages and migration and are eager to blame inflation on government spending.

Most legislators “dance around the issue and refuse to address it — even refuse to think about it. … Some of these guys are just maintaining cognitive balance by duping themselves,” Krikorian said. For example, Sen. Brown, he said, has “been voting for lowering wages [via migration] for his entire tenure in Congress. The [pending] amnesty he could maybe justify because they’re already here, but only if you’re also calling for reductions in future immigration … [and he’s] not.”

Media reporters also ignore the harmful economic impact of cheap labor, Krikorian added:

They’re part of the the apparatus. …  Some don’t even think about it, so there’s no issue there. Or they figure they’ve got a mortgage and kids, and they’ve been doing this too long and they can’t risk the Red Guards coming in throwing them out of their job. So they do what the party tells them to do.

Migration hurts U.S. journalists — and their college-graduate peers — by flooding the nation’s labor market with roughly one million imported white-collar visa workers. That imported labor force lowers white-collar salaries across many careers and pushes U.S. technology grads out of tech careers and into journalism, further reducing market-rate salaries for journalists.

BuzzFeed [managers] told employees of BuzzFeed News who staged a walkout Thursday — protesting what their union claims is the media company’s refusal to negotiate on key contract terms — that their pay would be docked by one day, unless they retroactively applied for paid time off.

BuzzFeed’s coverage is very pro-migration.

In the United States, migration curbs Americans’ productivity, shrinks their political clout, and widens regional wealth gaps. It radicalizes their democratic, compromise-promoting civic culture and allows elites to ignore despairing Americans at the bottom of society.

Establishment Media Admit Terrible Jobs Report ‘a Worrisome Sign for Biden’

The establishment media admitted President Biden’s terrible Friday jobs report was a disaster, as the American economy only added 210,000 jobs in November.

The report was so poor, CNBC originally did not put the actual number in their headline. “Job growth disappoints in November despite high hopes,” the title originally read before it was updated to include “with a gain of just 210,000.”

CNN said the jobs report was a “disappointment,” with Americans “not going back to those customer-facing jobs.”

“It’s not a job problem. It’s a worker problem,” CNN noted. “You see 210,000 jobs add back—that’s less than half of what economists were expecting.”

The Republican National Committee’s war room clipped the segment from CNN:.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki was questioned on MSNBC about the number being “a little off.”

“Well, I know this sounds a little archaic, but I cannot comment on them until 9:30,” she said to avoid speaking about the terrible numbers.

CNBC’s Rick Santelli dubbed Biden’s job report “a huge miss.”

“210,000 on non-farm payrolls – a huge miss,” Santelli said. “And if we look at what is going on with the change in manufacturing, 31,000. That is also a bit of a miss.”

Fox Business also reported Biden’s jobs report as “a big miss.”

“The estimate was for a gain of 550,000 so this was a weaker than expected report,” the network said.

Chief White House Correspondent for the New York Times, Peter Baker, said the jobs report is “another worrisome sign for Biden” because the results were “well below the half-million gain that had been expected.”

“That’s been one of the biggest problems in this country, where real wages or inflation-adjusted wages are falling,” Fox Business analyzed. “So again, even with that slight miss, it does speak to many people’s wage gain are not keeping up with the inflation they are facing.”

 

“America’s employers slowed the pace of their hiring in November, adding 210,000 jobs, the fewest in nearly a year,” the Associated Press wrote.

Afghans Brought to U.S. by Biden Deliver 250 Children, Securing Birthright American Citizenship

Hundreds of children have been born to newly-arrived Afghans who were brought to the United States as part of President Joe Biden’s massive resettlement operation since mid-August, securing birthright citizenship in the process.

Biden started the operation in the midst of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan — bringing at least 70,000 Afghans to the country for resettlement with minimal standard vetting procedures.

Since then, Republicans and Democrats in Congress have bankrolled the operation to the sum of more than $13.3 billion in American taxpayer money.

According to data from the U.S. Army, more than 250 U.S.-born children have been delivered to newly-arrived Afghans since the end of August.

Most of the children have been born to Afghans temporarily living on various U.S. military bases which the Biden administration has converted into refugee camps until non-governmental organizations (NGOs) resettle the Afghans across 46 states.

Despite their parents having only arrived over the last few months, the U.S.-born children of Afghans are able to secure birthright American citizenship thanks to the nation’s so-called anchor baby policy.

The policy allows any foreign national, regardless of whether they have ties to the U.S. or not, to secure birthright American citizenship for their child so long as they are born within the physical perimeters of the country.

The U.S. is among one of only two nations in the developed world to have such a policy.

For Afghans, the policy is significant as many new arrivals have yet to secure visas or refugee status and thus will rely heavily on their U.S.-born child’s birthright American citizenship to obtain green cards years from now.

Former President Trump had said he was readying a plan to end birthright citizenship with an executive order that likely would have been challenged by open borders organizations, forcing the issue potentially up to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Trump, though, did not sign any such order while in office.

To date, the U.S. Supreme Court has never explicitly ruled that the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens must be granted automatic American citizenship, and a number of legal scholars dispute the idea.

Many leading conservative scholars argue the Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment does not provide mandatory birthright citizenship to the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens or noncitizens, as these children were not subject to U.S. jurisdiction as that language was understood when the 14th Amendment was ratified.

President Joe Biden’s massive Afghan resettlement operation, with no end date, has been funded by Congress to the sum of more than $13 billion thanks to 19 Senate Republicans who helped advance the plan.

Late Thursday evening, House Democrats and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) passed a government funding bill that will keep the federal government operating through mid-February. In the bill is more than $7 billion in funding for the Biden administration to resettle an unlimited number of Afghans across the United States.

In the Senate, 19 Senate Republicans joined Senate Democrats to send the bill to Biden’s desk — now authorizing, in total, $13.3 billion for the administration to resettle Afghans after 49 House and Senate Republicans voted in September to fund the resettlement operation $6.4 billion.

These 19 Senate Republicans who backed the bill are:

In the bill, Afghans and other foreign nationals are identified as “individuals at risk” who can take part in “relocations” to the U.S. “as a result of the situation in Afghanistan.”

Senate Republican support for Biden’s Afghan resettlement operation comes even as Republican voters are deeply opposed to the plan, multiple polls have shown. The latest Pew Research Center survey shows that 63 percent of GOP voters oppose the plan.

In addition, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has admitted that “not all” Afghans are being vetted through standard in-person interview procedures.

“We are not conducting in-person, refugee interviews of 100 percent individuals,” Mayorkas told lawmakers last month during a hearing.

Afghans are being temporarily housed across various U.S. military bases in Texas, New Jersey, Virginia, Wisconsin, Indiana, and New Mexico. From there, they are resettled across 46 states, at a rate of about 4,000 resettled every day, as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) help to secure them jobs.

The nation’s Afghan population has exploded since former President George W. Bush started the Afghanistan War in 2001. The number of Afghans living in the U.S., for instance, has shot up to 133,000 in 2019 — more than three times the 44,000 Afghans who lived in the U.S. before the start of the war.

The data revealed also that most Afghan arrivals in the U.S. live on welfare.

San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) officers shot dead an Afghan national in a hotel after he charged them while wielding a knife, shouting “Allahu Akbar,” surveillance footage reveals.

Ajmal Amani, a 41-year-old Afghan national, was shot dead by officers in a hotel in San Francisco, California, on November 19 as surveillance footage shows him attempting to stab two officers by running towards them with a knife. In the process, Amani shouted, “Allahu Akbar.”

Amani had arrived in the United States in 2014 after working for five years as an interpreter for Navy SEALS in the Afghanistan War, the San Francisco Standard reports. Amani likely arrived on a Special Immigrant Visa (SIV), a quasi-refugee category created in 2009 specifically for Afghans who contracted and worked for U.S. Armed Forces in the Afghanistan War.

Amani had been living in the San Francisco hotel, paid for by taxpayers.

According to surveillance and audio footage of the incident, a hotel employee called police, stating that Amani had been wielding a knife in one of the hallways of the hotel. Amani can be seen in verbal altercations in the hallway with others.

When officers arrived on the scene, they tried to get Amani to walk towards them with his hands over his head. Amani can be heard responding to officers: “Don’t talk to me. Shut the fuck up” and “Leave me the fuck alone.”

When Amani did appear in the hallway, he rushed toward officers with the knife he had been holding. That’s when officers shot Amani, causing him to fall to the ground. Officers eventually handcuffed Amani as paramedics arrived and he was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.

Amani had prior run-ins with police.

Two years ago, Amani was arrested for trying to stab a San Francisco park ranger with a box cutter. According to Amani’s public defender, he suffered from mental illness. Amani was initially charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

The attempted murder charges, though, were thrown out by a judge and Amani was released into mental health treatment last year, where he was required to complete the treatment. Amani completed his treatment in August.
