Hunter Biden’s finalized paternity agreement with Lunden Roberts specifies the use of the first son’s paintings as a means to pay at least some of his child support.

Hunter Biden’s paternity agreement states:

Defendant additionally agrees that he shall assign to the child [redacted] of his paintings over the next [redacted] which shall vary in size with a minimum size of 24×24. The child shall select the painting which shall either be sent to the child or sent to a gallery designated by Lunden Roberts. The net proceeds of any sales of paintings shall be wired to an account designated by Lunden Roberts.

The art industry is known for shady business transactions. A Senate subcommittee report detailed in 2020 how the art market serves as a vehicle for money laundering:

The art industry is considered the largest, legal unregulated industry in the United States. Unlike financial institutions, the art industry is not subject to Bank Secrecy Act’s (“BSA”) requirements, which mandate detailed procedures to prevent money laundering and to verify a customer’s identity. While the BSA does not apply to art transactions by art dealers and auction houses, sanctions do. No U.S. person or entity is allowed to do business with a sanctioned individual or entity.

While the art market is not regulated by the BSA, it is governed by unwritten rules. A large number of art sales happen through intermediaries referred to as “art advisors” who can represent both purchasers and sellers. In a typical transaction, a purchaser may not ask who owns the piece of art they are purchasing; the seller may not ask for whom it is being purchased or the origin of the money. And in general an art advisor would be reluctant to reveal the identity of their client for fear of being cut out of the deal and losing the business.

Because the art industry is not subject to BSA requirements, when a piece of art is sold, there is no legal requirement for the selling party to confirm the identity of the buyer or that the buyer is not laundering money through the purchase. While the four biggest auction houses have voluntary anti-money laundering (“AML”) programs, the employees who facilitated art purchases in the Subcommittee’s case study said they never asked the art advisor the identity of his client. Instead, the auction houses considered the art advisor the principal purchaser and performed any due diligence on the art advisor, even when it was well-known that the ultimate owner was someone else. With regard to the funds used to purchase art, the auction houses told the Subcommittee they rely on financial institutions to ensure the integrity of the funds, even though the auction houses interact directly with the buyer. But these voluntary AML policies are just for sales through the auction houses. As stated above, the majority of art sales are private transactions. A private dealer interviewed by the Subcommittee stated she had no written AML policies, tries to work with people she knows and trusts, looks for red flags, and relies on her gut. She also explained that her practices have significantly changed over the years and that she also relies on advice from AML lawyers.

Secrecy, anonymity, and a lack of regulation create an environment ripe for laundering money and evading sanctions.

Adam Thompson, a prominent artist from Miami, told Breitbart News that Hunter Biden is trying to cash in on his infamous, scandal-ridden history by using an unregulated market. Without such notoriety in a shady industry, Hunter Biden’s art would be worth nearly nothing and his daughter would receive a raw deal.

“Scandal on this level is great for the value of an artist’s work,” he said. “But if a regular person were to sell Hunter Biden’s form of art, they would never be able to command the outrageous dollar amounts the pieces generated without the Biden last name.”

In total, Hunter Biden anonymously sold about 12 paintings for less than $500,000, the Washington Post reported. It is unclear how much money the art generated at the sale, but estimates suggest he earned at least five times more than the average American artist — all while being a novice painter.

Hunter Biden announced the addition of a data forensics adviser, who is also a former January 6 committee adviser, to his defense team on Wednesday after House Republican investigators revealed IRS and FBI whistleblower allegations that further expose the Biden family.

Former Republican Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-VA), who also advised the partisan January 6 Committee House on technical matters, will work with Hunter Biden’s legal team on reducing technical digital exposure facing the Biden family.

Kevin Morris, Hunter Biden’s lead attorney, told CBS News that Riggleman consulted with his team in the past months but will now be a staple on the team.

“He is an invaluable resource and we have made tremendous strides in untangling the massive amount of corruption and disinformation involved in this story,” Morris said.

Riggleman also told the network that his “forensics, data, and telephony team are conducting data investigations and analysis for Hunter Biden’s legal team.”

The GOP House investigation, which brought forward damning whistleblower allegations against the president’s son to the public’s attention, apparently caused Hunter Biden to hire Riggleman. CBS News reported Riggleman provides “insights into House Republicans and their methods” on exposing the Biden family business.

Last week, Hunter Biden’s lawyers did not deny the content of WhatsApp texts given to House investigators from IRS whistleblowers. One text shows Hunter Biden demanded payment in 2017 from a CCP-linked businessman and CEFC business associate while “sitting” next to his dad.

A second text revealed Hunter Biden asking a second CEFC business associate, Gongwen “Kevin” Dong, for $10 million, noting the Biden family is best at “doing exactly what the chairman wants.”

Breitbart News reported the Biden family business received $5.1 million within ten days of Hunter Biden’s first message to a CCP-linked businessman who worked with Chinese energy conglomerate CEFC Energy.

House investigators also revealed an FBI informant claims to possess two pieces of evidence that show President Joe Biden received a $5 million bribe from Ukrainian associates of his son.

According to Rep. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the FBI informant document said the founder of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky, who allegedly paid Joe Biden, kept 17 audio recordings of his conversations with them as an “insurance policy.”

On the evening of September 24, 2019, Democratic Speaker of the House from California, Nancy Pelosi announced that six committees of the House of Representatives would undertake a formal impeachment inquiry against President Trump. The impeachment inquiry has been initiated following a whistleblower complaint over allegedly dealings of US President Donald J. Trump with Ukraine. The whistleblower report claimed that President Trump had "pressured" Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky during a July 2019 phone call to launch investigations into the actions of former vice president and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and involvement of his son Hunter Biden in the Burisma Holdings Company. LOS ANGELES (AP) — A bus carrying migrants from a Texas border city arrived in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday for the second time in less than three weeks.

The office of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was not formally notified but became aware on Friday of the bus dispatched from Brownsville, Texas, to L.A. Union Station, Bass spokesperson Zach Seidl said in a statement.

“The City of Los Angeles believes in treating everyone with respect and dignity and will do so,” he said.

The bus arrived around 12:40 p.m., and the 41 asylum-seekers on board were welcomed by a collective of faith and immigrant rights groups. Eleven children were on the bus, according to a statement by the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights.

The asylum seekers came from Cuba, Belize, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. They received water, food, clothing, and initial legal immigration assistance at St. Anthony’s Croatian Parish Center and church.

Jorge-Mario Cabrera, a spokesperson for the coalition, said the group “was less stressed and less chaotic than the previous time.” He said most were picked up by family in the area and appeared to have had sandwiches and water, unlike the first time.

Los Angeles was not the final destination for six people who needed to fly to Las Vegas, Seattle, San Francisco, and Oakland, he said.

The city received a bus carrying 42 migrants from Texas on June 14. Many were from Latin American countries, including Honduras and Venezuela, and they were not provided with water or food.

Bass said at the time that the city would not be swayed by “petty politicians playing with human lives.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he sent the bus to Los Angeles because California had declared itself a “sanctuary” for immigrants, extending protections to people living in the country illegally.

It was unclear if Abbott sent the latest bus. A phone message to his office was not immediately returned.

Earlier in June, the state of Florida picked up three dozen migrants in Texas and sent them by private jet to California’s capital, catching shelters and aid workers in Sacramento by surprise.

Business Lobby Ask Biden for More Foreign Workers Rather than Enticing Americans Back into Workforce

While Americans have struggled to remain in the workforce, the powerful business lobby is urging President Joe Biden to increase the share of foreign visa workers whom they can hire to what would be the highest level on record.

Nearly 130 special interest business groups — including many Chamber of Commerce chapters, construction companies, farms, landscaping businesses, restaurants, and retail stores — wrote to Biden asking him to expand the inflow of foreign visa workers to fill millions of American jobs.

“We respectfully request that you expand a special category of immigration permits for individuals who can fill positions where labor shortages exist, for people migrating to the United States, and long-term immigrant contributors like DREAMers, farm workers, and essential workers,” the business groups write.

Already, the U.S. imports more than a million legal immigrants on green cards annually in addition to more than a million foreign visa workers who arrive specifically to take American jobs. Likewise, under Biden, tens of thousands are securing work permits after crossing the southern border.

In particular, the business groups pointed to a plan touted by Republican Govs. Eric Holcomb of Indiana and Spencer Cox of Utah that gives states the ability to import foreign visa workers whenever business interests in such states decided that there are labor shortages that cannot be filled with Americans.

“One plan advanced by Republican governors, Eric Holcomb of Indiana and Spencer Cox of Utah, would allow states to ‘sponsor’ immigrant workers,” the business groups wrote:

With that authority, states could decide how many visas are needed each year for specific jobs. U.S Senators Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Dick Durbin (D-IL) support the idea, as does New York Governor Kathy Hochul. [Emphasis added]

With congressional action on permanent immigration reform gridlocked, we look to your administration to expand the use of visas under current regulations and give states the authority to act on their workforce needs, so that migrants are treated humanely and businesses can rev up the engines that drive state and national economies. [Emphasis added]

The latest push by special interest business groups to open a constant flow of foreign visa workers to hire comes as Biden has ballooned the nation’s labor market through mass immigration while remaining largely unconcerned with the issue of Americans dropping out of the workforce.

For instance, last year, foreign-born workers saw their share of the U.S. labor market hit the highest level in almost 30 years at more than 18 percent, with close to 30 million now holding American jobs.

At the same time, the number of native-born Americans in the workforce has declined by 0.5 percent. Likewise, unemployment for foreign-born workers was lower last year, at 3.4 percent, than the unemployment rate for native-born Americans, at 3.7 percent.

The boon of foreign visa workers in the U.S. labor market, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) recently detailed, means lower wages for working class native-born Americans in addition to more foreign workforce competition.

“Between the fourth quarters of 2016 and 2019, real (inflation-adjusted) weekly earnings for full-time, U.S.-born workers without a bachelor’s grew 3.2 percent,” CIS researchers write. “During this time, growth in the total immigrant population (legal and illegal) averaged about 400,000 a year, compared to about 730,000 a year from 2012 to 2016, when earnings actually fell slightly for the less-educated U.S.-born.”

Americans, by a majority, say businesses should work harder to recruit those on the labor market sidelines rather than the federal government importing foreign workers for them.

In the most recent Rasmussen Reports survey, nearly 6-in-10 Americans said it is “better for businesses to raise the pay and try harder to recruit non-working Americans even if it causes prices to rise” when faced with labor shortages. A minority of only 26 percent said it is better for the government to provide such businesses with foreign workers to hire.
