JOE BIDEN'S ILLEGALS - ANOTHER MURDER

Hernandez is facing murder charges along with charges for aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He is expected to appear in court on Sept. 13.

An illegal alien has been accused of murdering an 18-year-old high school soccer player in June by shooting him in the midst of an alleged altercation.

In early June, according to prosecutors, 20-year-old illegal alien Yohan Hernandez was in an altercation with a group of boys at Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey, when he allegedly opened fire and shot 18-year-old Moussa Fofana, killing him, and wounding another 17-year-old in the leg.

In court this week, Hernandez’s attorney confirmed that he was in custody at an Essex County, New Jersey, jail and is being held on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer so that if he is released at any time, he could be turned over to ICE agents for arrest and deportation.

On June 6, prosecutors say Fofana was murdered by Hernandez who pulled out a revolver to shoot him and another teenage boy. Hernandez claims Fofana and the boys were following his younger 16-year-old brother on his bike near the Underhill Sports Complex.

NJ.com reports:

Hernandez allegedly told investigators that his brother said two males were following him. The brother ran behind Hernandez and two males approached him, he told police. One of them took a swing at him, Hernandez said.

Hernandez told detectives he grabbed a revolver from “Aleman” and fired two shots, hitting one of the males, according to the criminal complaint in the case. The complaint does not indicate who is “Aleman.”

“The defendant claimed that after he shot, he put a gun on a table and another individual who he could not recall, picked up the gun and continued shooting,” said Essex County Assistant Prosecutor Austin Edwards.

Hawa Fofana, Moussa’s mother, previously told the media that on the night of her son’s murder, he hugged and kissed her before leaving their home.

“He gave me a hug and I’m like, ‘You’re choking me,'” Hawa Fofana said Monday evening. “He said, ‘Mommy, I’m just going to give you a kiss.’ He gave me a hug and a kiss, and then he left the house.”

Moussa was an avid soccer player. His murder made national headlines, including coverage from the New York Times, and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphey (D) even making a statement on the case.

“He was always so sweet,” a classmate of Moussa’s told the Times. “He never gave problems to anybody.”

Hernandez is facing murder charges along with charges for aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He is expected to appear in court on Sept. 13.

Arizona Gov. Ducey Calls for the Resignation of DHS Chief Mayorkas

Arizona’s Governor Doug Ducey is calling for the resignation of President Joe Biden’s border chief, one day after border officials admitted they allowed a record 117,000 migrants to enter the United States in August.

Ducey said in a Friday statement:

It is time for Secretary Mayorkas to resign, and for him to be replaced with someone who will tell the American people the truth publicly, stand up to the radical activists inside the Biden-Harris administration and once and for all end the crisis at the southern border. The safety of Arizona and our entire nation depends on it.

Ducey’s press statement referred to leaked August 12 comments from Alejandro Mayorkas, Biden’s pro-migration secretary at the Department of Homeland Security. Ducey’s press statement began:

Governor Doug Ducey today called for the resignation of Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas following explosive leaked comments in which Mayorkas called the border crisis “unsustainable,” said “these numbers cannot continue” and said “if our borders are the first line of defense, we’re going to lose.”

….

Mayorkas also said he was “very well” aware that portions of the border came close to “breaking” recently, according to news reports. “We can’t continue like this, our people in the field can’t continue and our system isn’t built for it,” Mayorkas reportedly said.

The Fox News report only provided fragments of Mayorkas’s August 12 comments to border officers.

However, Mayorkas has repeatedly argued in public that he is trying to control the border crush by legalizing even more migration — even though that policy will allow U.S. employers to hire more low-wage migrants instead of Americans, and will allow landlords to rent more housing to groups of migrants at inflated prices.

At his August 12 press conference, for example, Mayorkas said:

In the coming days, our department will announce that we are making changes and improvements to how we process asylum claims. We continue to rebuild our immigration system to ensure fairness and promote equity.

The reference by the Cuban-born Mayorkas to “fairness and … equity” refers to his pr0gressive policy of putting migrants’ interests ahead of Americans’ concerns. So far, Mayorkas has shown no concern for the many millions of Americans who are worried about their jobs and wages, their rents and schools, their children’s future, and their increasingly threatened political status in their own country.

Ducey’s statement continued:

Today we are seeing the truth of what’s playing out behind closed doors — what the federal government isn’t telling the American people. Chaos, dysfunction and a defeatist attitude has infiltrated the highest level of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. This administration has completely lost control of the border. And with his comments, Secretary Mayorkas demonstrated that he fully understands the catastrophe playing out at the border, and yet he lacks the skill, ability and will to address it adequately.

“The buck must stop somewhere. A defeatist is not what we need when it comes to fighting for border security. It is time for Secretary Mayorkas to resign, and for him to be replaced with someone who will tell the American people the truth publicly, stand up to the radical activists inside the Biden-Harris administration and once and for all end the crisis at the southern border. The safety of Arizona and our entire nation depends on it.

Ducey’s statement also included a record of his efforts to curb migration into his state:

Governor Ducey in April declared a state of emergency and deployed the Arizona National Guard to the state’s southern border. The Governor also convened the State Emergency Council to immediately fund the mission with $2.5 million as well as $200,000 for county sheriffs.

In June, Governor Ducey and Texas Governor Abbott requested all U.S. governors send available law enforcement resources to the border. Governor Ducey joined 19 fellow governors in May calling on President Biden and Vice President Harris to reverse their destructive border policies.

Overall, investors and business coalitions want to import more migrants — even impoverished, ill, aging, or criminal migrants — because the migrants spike consumer sales, boost rental rates, cut wages, minimize management hassles, and so raise profits and stock values. The migrants also serve as clients for Democrat-run welfare agencies, and eventually, as voters for Democratic candidates.

But migration damages ordinary Americans’ career opportunities, cuts their wages, raises their rents, curbs their productivitycontradicts their political preferences, and fractures their open-minded, equality-promoting civic culture. Migration also widens the growing economic gap between interior states and coastal states.

For many years, a wide variety of pollsters have shown deep and broad opposition to labor migration and the inflow of temporary contract workers into jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.

This opposition is multiracialcross-sexnon-racistclass-basedbipartisanrationalpersistent, and recognizes the solidarity Americans owe to each other.

The voter opposition to elite-backed economic migration coexists with support for legal immigrants and some sympathy for illegal migrants. But only a minority of Americans — mostly leftists — embrace the many skewed polls and articles pushing the 1950’s corporate “Nation of Immigrants” claim.

Biden’s Border Disaster Got Even Worse in July
Growing number of non-Mexican, non-Central American immigrant arrests

Washington, D.C. (August 13, 2021) – Two new articles from the Center for Immigration Studies describes worsening numbers at the border for July, with no signs of slowing down, and an increasing globalization of the illegal surge. The number of U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP) migrant encounters at the Southwest border exceeded 212,000 last month, including almost 200,000 Border Patrol migrant apprehensions.
For the previous three months, Border Patrol’s monthly apprehensions at the Southwest border were higher than at any point since April 2000. The administration has now broken that record set 21 years ago, when more than 180,050 aliens were apprehended.
Of the 199,777 migrants who were apprehended by the Border Patrol after entering illegally in July, fewer than 94,000 were expelled under CDC orders issued under Title 42 of the U.S. Code in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, which date back to the Trump administration. That is a 9 percent decline from June.
Worse, it is the first time this fiscal year that more aliens who entered illegally were processed under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), and therefore largely allowed to remain in the United States, than were expelled under Title 42.
This illegal surge continues to globalize. In an article published in the National Review, executive director Mark Krikorian states that the share of Border Patrol arrests of illegals not from Mexico or the Northern Triangle countries of Central America has doubled over the past six months, from about 15 percent in March to 29 percent in July. Migrants from Mauritania, Cuba, Haiti, Senegal, Eritrea, and elsewhere have arrived at the Southern border. Many of these economic migrants are Haitians who were firmly settled in Chile and Brazil, but who are taking Biden up on his invitation to fraudulently apply for asylum.
Andrew Arthur, the Center’s resident fellow in law and policy, said, “Every indicator in CBP’s July numbers is bad for the president and his policies. Apprehension records dating back more than two decades are being shattered while the one successful border policy Biden held over from the Trump administration — Title 42 — is in decline.”
Without a serious shift in immigration policy on the part of the Biden administration, the crisis at the Southern border will continue to worsen.

DHS Mayorkas Allows 55 Percent of Migrants to Cross Border in July

President Joe Biden’s deputies excluded only 45 percent of migrants who were recorded at the border in July, and just 12 percent of migrants who bring children, border chief Alejandro Mayorkas admitted August 11.

The resulting July inflow is 29 times July 2020 inflow, even though the Title 42 anti-epidemic barrier rules allow border officers to exclude all migrants during the coronavirus threat.

The Biden welcome for migrants delivered 116,884 economic migrants into Americans’ workplaces, housing, and schools — even though the new inflow will further cut Americans’ wages and raise their rents.

Breitbart News reported August 10: “Adjusted for [rising] inflation, hourly compensation fell 2.7 percent in the second quarter, data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on the nonfarm business sector showed Tuesday.

But border chief Alejandro Mayorkas used his ready-for-TV speech in Brownsville, Texas, to deny responsibility for the mass migration and to instead blame the record-breaking inflow of migrants on President Donald Trump and on the long-standing corruption and crime in Central America.

Yet Mayokos indirectly admitted that Biden’s pro-migration policies are inviting more migrants than Trump’s pro-American policies, saying:

Another reason [for the migration surge] is the end of the cruel policies of the past administration and the restoration of the rule of laws of this country that Congress has passed, including our asylum laws that provide humanitarian relief.

And Mayorkas threatened to deliver more migrants to Americans’ jobs and neighborhoods, saying:

In the coming days, our department will announce that we are making changes and improvements to how we process asylum claims. We continue to rebuild our immigration system to ensure fairness and promote equity.

The reference by the Cuban-born Mayorkas to “fairness and … equity” refers to his support for migrants. So far, Mayorkas has shown no concern for the many millions of Americans who are worried about their jobs and wages, their rents and kids’ schools, their children’s future, and their increasingly threatened political status in their own country.

In his ready-for-TV speech, Mayorkas wrapped his admissions and threats in confident claims that the border is just way too complicated for the U.S. superpower  to manage:

The situation at the border is one of the toughest challenges we face. It is complicated, changing, and involves vulnerable people at a time of a global pandemic …  We have seen my surges in migration before. We’ve seen them in the past, and migrations surges are not new.

Mayorkas also perfumed the asylum loophole that invites many rational migrants– including women who claim they were beaten by their husbands or threatened by local crooks — to claim they deserve American citizenship because of victimization at home. Migrants, he said, are:

…very quickly turned around and sent back. If they are not expelled, they are placed into removal proceedings, which are immigration enforcement proceedings. They are prosecuted for removal and are removed unless they make a successful claim for [asylum] relief and establish that they are entitled to remain in the United States [emphasis added].

Since roughly 2010, more than three million migrants have surged into the United States, usually claiming they need asylum. The migration-by-asylum is being cheered by progressives, Democrats, and the business executives who know that migrants will be used in the U.S. economy as workers, consumers, and renters.

The asylum migration is underway even as the U.S. government allows one million legal immigrants into the country each year. The two floods of migrants are adding one new migrant to the United States for every two children born in 2021.

Mayorkas’ staff invited selected reporters to ask a few questions after the speech. However, the reporters’ questions were about migrants’ concerns and disease — not about Mayorkas’s policy of putting migrants’ interests ahead of Americans’ concerns.

Mayorkas also suggested that his deputies are cracking down on his own policy of not punishing the many migrants who make repeated efforts to cross the border until they succeed.  But Mayorkas refused to provide any numbers, even though he has complete access to the data as DHS chief:

Our expulsion flights are now increasingly moving [detained migrants] into the interior of Mexico. So return [and] recidivism is not as easy [as it was before] … We are prosecuting individuals who have been previously removed from the United States.

Tom Cotton Calls on DHS Secretary Mayorkas to Resign over Record Illegal Immigration to U.S.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is calling on Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to resign over record illegal immigration to the United States on his watch.

On Friday, after illegal immigration totals were released for the month of July, Cotton said in a post online that “Mayorkas has failed and he should resign” while Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) suggested Mayorkas should consider stepping down as DHS chief.

In July, nearly 200,000 border crossers were apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border — a more than 418 percent increase compared to the same time last year. This total does not include the roughly 750 to 1,000 illegal aliens who DHS officials say are successfully crossing the border every day.

Not since Fiscal Year 2000, when former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush were in office, has illegal immigration to the U.S. been this high. For example, January 2000 was the last month in the prior two decades that reached nearly 190,000 apprehensions at the southern border.

Then, in February and March 2000, border apprehensions exceeded 200,000 for each month. The totals indicate that under President Joe Biden’s administration, illegal immigration has hit a 21-year high.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized a large quantity of undeclared pharmaceutical medications and arrested the alleged smuggler. The search of a woman attempting to enter the United States from Mexico yielded more than 8,500 undeclared pills.

CBP officers assigned to the Gateway to the Americas Bridge in Laredo, Texas, on August 7 observed a woman approaching in the pedestrian lane for entry into the United States. After an initial interview, the CBP officer referred the woman, a 43-year-old U.S. citizen, to a secondary inspection area, according to information obtained from CBP officials in Laredo.

During a secondary investigation, an officer searched the woman’s belongings and found 16 packages filled with pills, officials stated. The packages contained 1,508 Carisoprodol tablets, 2,679 Valium tablets, 600 Ritalin tablets, and 3,771 Xanax tablets. The woman did not declare any of the pills.

The CBP officers seized more than 8,500 pills and arrested the woman. Officers turned the woman and the undeclared pills over to ICE Homeland Security Investigations for further investigation and preparation of federal charges.

“This seizure of undeclared prescription medication was composed of muscle relaxants, sedatives and stimulants that are classified as controlled substances by the Drug Enforcement Administration,” Port Director Alberto Flores, Laredo Port of Entry said in a written statement. “Fortunately, our frontline officers remain vigilant in the interdiction of these dangerous drugs, which aids in the prosecution of alleged drug traffickers.”

Officials said federal law allows a person to carry personal use quantities of medication across the border. This is generally considered to be a supply of 90 days. To be legal, the medications must be labeled with a doctor’s prescription or the person must be carrying a prescription from the doctor if the containers are unlabeled.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 2.8 tons of methamphetamine and fentanyl at a commercial border crossing in California. Officers found the deadly drugs in a shipment of plastic household items.

CBP officers assigned to the Otay Mesa Commercial Facility on August 5 observed a tractor-trailer hauling a load of plastic household items approaching from Mexico. Following an initial interview, a CBP officer referred the driver, a Mexican national, to a secondary inspection station, according to information obtained from CBP officials this week.

Additional officers carried out non-intrusive inspections utilizing an x-ray scan and found several anomalies inside the trailer, officials stated. An exterior search by a K-9 team also confirmed suspicions of the presence of drugs in the trailer.

The officers conducted a physical inspection of the trailer and found 414 packages of narcotics hidden within the cargo area. The drugs tested positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl, officials stated.

Officers weighed the drugs and cataloged 5,528 pounds of methamphetamine and 127 pounds of fentanyl powder. Officials estimate the value of the drugs at $12,990,749.

The officers arrested the 53-year-old Mexican national and seized the drugs and tractor-trailer.

Special agents with ICE Homeland Security Investigations took custody of the driver for further investigation and processing of federal drug smuggling charges. The driver is being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in San Diego, California.

“This amount of fentanyl and methamphetamine is enough to ruin countless lives and fund transnational criminal organizations,” Pete Flores, CBP Director of Field Operations in San Diego said in a written statement. “I’m proud of our officers’ efforts at all Ports of Entry within the San Diego Field Office to intercept this and all smuggling attempts.”

Mexico Blocks Mothers from Searching Border City Cartel Killing Field for Their Kids

Mexican federal investigators began a new search in a cartel killing field near the Texas border. The move came after pressure from a group of mothers looking for their loved ones. However, officials are prohibiting the group from directly participating despite their training to search for human remains.

The search took place in “La Bartolina,” a vast rural area east of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, used for years by the Gulf Cartel to kill and dispose of victims. Members of Mexico’s Federal Search Commission, Attorney General’s Office, and others released photographs of them searching in the killing field without the help of the mothers.

In 2016, Mexican officials tried to cover up the discovery of a clandestine incineration site in La Bartolina, claiming they were unable to determine if the remains were animal or human. For several years now, the Gulf Cartel has terrorized Matamoros with deadly ransom kidnappings. It remains unclear how many were taken to La Bartolina.

Since then, Mexico’s federal government has confirmed the discovery of human remains at La Bartolina but stopped searching earlier this year. Since then, the Union of Collectives of Searching Mothers of Tamaulipas has pressured officials at the federal and state levels to continue looking in La Bartolina–revealing that most of the property in question is still untouched.

In their desperation, the activists published an open letter to Mexico’s Gulf Cartel begging for permission to search La Bartolina, claiming they just wanted closure in the face of government inaction.

Human smugglers moved an unaccompanied six-year-old across the Arizona border from Mexico and then abandoned the boy.

Yuma Sector Chief Patrol agent Chris Clem tweeted images captured by border surveillance camera operators monitoring traffic along the Arizona border with Mexico. The images reveal smugglers moving a little boy across an irrigation canal into the United States.

The smugglers then directed the boy through a gap in the incomplete border wall system and parted ways.

Additional images show the boy with Border Patrol agents and medical staff.

Chief Clem reports that his agents have apprehended more than 4,700 unaccompanied minors during Fiscal Year 2021, which began on October 1, 2020. He stated that 500 of these were age 12 and under.

Elsewhere in the Yuma Sector, Border Patrol agents rescued two migrants who became lost in the desert after illegally crossing the border from Mexico into Arizona. Agents determined both suffered from severe dehydration.

A Border Patrol agent trained as an EMT began intravenous fluid to stabilize the migrants before moving them to the Yuma Regional Medical Center for additional treatment and evaluation.

As of June 30, Yuma Sector agents apprehended nearly 60,000 migrants who illegally crossed the border — an increase of more than 800 percent over the same period last year. Agents identified 27,779 of those as single adult migrants (up 702 percent), 28,349 as family unit aliens (up 999 percent), and 3,757 as unaccompanied minors (up 579 percent). July numbers are expected to be released by CBP officials later this week.

DEA Memo to Agents: Stop Saying 'Mexican Cartels'

DEA Memo to Agents: Stop Saying 'Mexican Cartels'

Source: Katie Pavlich/Townhall Media

So, what explains this Beijing move to censor speech when talking about the war on drugs. I don’t even like the war on drugs. It’s a total failure, a war we should have called quits on decades ago—but we still wage it. Yet, as it stands now, drugs are still pouring across the border. It’s part of the immigration and securing our borders crisis, so it’s somewhat different than jailing people for recreational use, but the Drug Enforcement Administration has sent out what looks like a ‘woke’ memo instructing agents to stop referring to the Mexican drug cartels as…Mexican drug cartels. The Daily Caller obtained a copy of the memo:

Officials at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) have been directed by their headquarters to stop using the term “Mexican cartel” when speaking with the media, according to an email exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation from a government official.

A portion of the email sent mid-July stated: “Also, we need to now avoid saying ‘Mexican cartel’ or discussing the Mexican government or LE cooperation with Mexico. Please continue using ‘drug cartel,’ TCO, DTO, etc.”

[…]

The guidance came as the Mexican cartels continue surging drugs across the southern border and into the U.S. Between October and June, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized 358,302 pounds of drugs at the southwest border, including 8,093 pounds of lethal fentanyl.

Over the same time period in 2020, CBP seized 541,126 pounds of drugs at the U.S.-Mexico border. And over the 9-month period in 2019, CBP seized 498,281 pounds of drugs, and, during those months in 2018, they seized 677,179 pounds of drugs. The amount of fentanyl seized at the border has steadily increased throughout the last few years and the amount seized so far in 2021 has already exceeded what was captured in 2019 and 2020 combined.

This isn’t rocket science. A ton of drugs made by the cartels are pouring into the US from Mexico, but we just can’t say that they’re…Mexican drug cartels. They’re not Amish. They’re not Asian. This is an Obama holdover protocol. Just call it by something else and then it’s not a crisis anymore. Call it by something else to avoid dealing with this issue. It doesn’t make the problem go away, nor does it erase the ethnic or racial elements these woke liberals are so sensitive about. The Mexican drug cartels are a problem. There’s nothing wrong in saying that.

Inland Texas County Sees 900% Spike in Migrants Hiding on Freight Trains

On Tuesday, Uvalde County Sheriff Ruben Nolasco and his deputies helped Border Patrol agents search freight trains entering the rural Texas town. In what has become a local trend, more than 50 migrants were pulled from a train.

The Border Patrol faces staffing challenges due to the humanitarian care demands from the migrant influx. Manpower shortages make checking trains more challenging, considering the spike in migrants using rail to sidestep the asylum process.

Border Patrol reports more than 5,200 migrants have been found riding on the trains in Uvalde since October 2020, an increase of 900 percent compared to the previous year. Nearly 1,000 were discovered in July 2021 alone.

The staffing challenges could prove deadly for the migrants. Freight is notoriously unfriendly to stowaways. Accidents and fatalities can occur when migrants are struck, crushed by shifting cargo, suffocated, or overexposed.

Earlier this month, Sheriff Nolasco’s deputies responded to an incident at the rail siding involving an injured Honduran migrant. The man’s foot was caught and severed under the wheels as he attempted to jump from the moving train. The migrant was treated by EMS at the scene and later flown to a hospital in San Antonio for additional care.

Most of the migrants discovered on the Tuesday train boarded in nearby Eagle Pass. The Texas Department of Transportation notes that nearly 400,000 rail cars enter the United States each year from Mexico at Eagle Pass. Most cars will travel through Uvalde and absent a significant change in the flow of migrants crossing the border illegally, the situation along the rail line is unlikely to improve.
