Ramifications loom for supply chains as more than 60 container ships were backlogged this week as they waited to dock and unload goods off of the coast of California.

Ports in California are heavily backlogged as record-breaking numbers of ships have waited to dock and unload cargo this week. As of September 22, 62 cargo ships were waiting to dock in both Los Angeles and Long Beach. Ships are waiting an average of ten days to dock and unload goods.

On September 22, ports in both Los Angeles and Long Beach reported more than 150 ships docked in port which included 95 container ships. The number of ships docked Wednesday was more than double that of pre-pandemic averages when the ports typically dealt with 60-70 ships at once.

The backlog of ships further stresses supply chains as the 10-day wait periods create a shortage of cargo ships for new shipments. Before the pandemic, the typical number of ships waiting to dock was “between zero and one,” Executive Director of the Marine Exchange of Southern California Kip Louttit told Business Insider in July.

The backlog of ships poses to further cripple supply chains ahead of the holiday season as inflated prices and a shortage of goods loom. The demand for shipping has caused prices to go up. “Some suppliers are… paying two to six times for containers and shipping,” Costco Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President Richard A. Galanti explained in a conference call with analysts September 23.

Galanti added that the company has been experiencing significant delays on shipments including furniture, children’s toys, seasonal items, and chips that are critical to electronic devices like “computers, tablets, video games,” and other “major appliances.” Shipments that normally took 8 to 12 weeks now take 16 to 18 weeks Galanti noted. 

The effects of the backlog are far-reaching and have impacted other facets of supply chains Galanti noted:

From a supply chain perspective, the factors pressuring supply chains and inflation include port delays, container shortages, COVID disruptions, shortages on various components, raw materials and ingredients, labor cost pressures and trucker and driver shortages — trucks and driver shortages. Domestically, anecdotally rather from a — even on a domestic side, various major brands are requesting longer lead times. Some cases difficulty in finding drivers and trucks on short notice. Lead times on ingredients and packaging have been extended in some cases. 

The Costco CFO said the company is selling out of merchandise within two weeks after it is received and that the company has been ordering “more and earlier,” to combat lengthy shipping times. 

Galanti announced Costco is imposing consumer limitations on purchases of household items such as toilet paper, paper towels, and Kirkland brand bottled water amid supply chain complications.

LA JOYA, Texas — Just days after Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced, “our borders are not open,” more than 200 Central American migrants crossed the Rio Grande unimpeded and walked into La Joya, Texas. The steady stream of migrants crossing into the border city continues day and night, according to Border Patrol agents on the ground.

In La Joya Breitbart Texas watched as migrants emerged from the brush along the Rio Grande Friday evening. The migrants quickly surrendered to awaiting Border Patrol agents. A transportation bus arrived to remove migrants but was insufficient to prevent the build-up of migrants being detained outdoors by the Border Patrol.

The migrants, mostly family units, emerge from the darkness of the Rio Grande riverbank and walk into the city’s baseball park almost like clockwork according to a Border Patrol agent. On this night, Border Patrol agents provided water and took basic biographical information from the migrants while they waited for transportation resources to arrive. The sound of children and infants crying could be heard as they waited for buses to move them to a processing facility in Donna, Texas.

The migrants sat patiently as some of the children played in the park under the glow of nearby streetlights. An overflowing garbage dumpster and stacks of bottled water evidenced the volume of migrant traffic crossing the Rio Grande in an area where a gap in the border wall affords the migrants easy access to the city.

As reported by Breitbart Texas, gaps in the existing border wall provide quick access into several cities in the Rio Grande Valley. Construction on the wall was completely halted in January due to an Executive Order signed by President Joe Biden shortly after his inauguration.

The migrants must wait in the park until Border Patrol buses become available to move them. According to a source within CBP, those resources have been strained by responding to the 2,000 or more migrant apprehensions made daily across the Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector. The source says there has been no seasonal slowdown in the volume of migrant traffic.

“We are averaging 7,000 to 8,000 apprehensions daily nationwide as we close out the fiscal year this month,” the source says. The source added, “that’s a phenomenon we haven’t seen in decades.”

Most of the migrants will be provided a notice to report (NTR) and will quickly be released into the United States according to the source. The source says the NTR is a process developed under the Biden administration to speed the releases and avoid overcrowding. The simple one-page form asks the migrant to self-report within 60 days to the nearest immigration court office to begin formal removal proceedings.

The source says most of those issued the NTR will not comply.

Mayorkas Tells Migrants How to Get Through Title 42 Border Barrier

Alejandro Mayorkas, the nation’s border security chief, used his White House press conference on Friday to tell migrants how to get through the Title 42 coronavirus emergency rules.

Federal law allows border officers to exclude migrants because of the Title 42 emergency rules for the coronavirus epidemic.

But Mayorkas spotlighted some of the Title 42 exceptions that he grants — including the little-known exception for people who claim to be afraid of torture in their home country.

Number one [exception] is if an individual has an acute vulnerability, such as an urgent medical care. And [number] two, if, in fact, our operational capacity is such that we are not able to execute the Title 42 authority … I should also say that there is a [third] Convention Against Torture exception if someone claims torture.

In case any cellphone-linked migrants do not hear the torture exception, Mayorkas repeated it:

If someone is not subject to Title 42 expulsion for the three reasons that I explained — acute vulnerability, operational capacity limitations, or a Convention Against Torture exception — then the individual is placed in immigration proceedings. That means they [can stay and work in the United States] until [they] go before an immigration judge in an immigration court.

Mayorkas’ advice will be a useful guide to the many economic migrants from Chile, Brazil, and other stable countries who are trying to get Americans’ jobs and housing.

Under Mayorkas, migrants do not need to persuade a judge that their fear of torture is true. Merely making the claim to Mayorkas’s officers gives them the opportunity to walk through the Title 42 barrier, get jobs, and stay in the United States.

Once in the United States, migrants also do not need to persuade the judge that their claim is valid because Mayorkas has barred enforcement officers from deporting migrants who do not commit violent crimes.

The key issue is the level of credibility that Mayorkas sets for the torture claim to be accepted by the border officers, said Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge who now works with the Center for Immigration Studies.

If the burden of proof is too low, many migrants will claim torture to get through the Title 42 rule, he said. “Depending on how little has to be done to trigger the [torture] exception [at the border], the exception will swallow the [Title 42] rule,” he told Breitbart News.

Few migrants actually win their torture claims. In 2000, judges granted just 529 requests from 12,452 people who applied for Convention Against Torture protections. In 2019, judges approved just 1,157 requests after 66,000 people applied.

“Everyone’s dream is to know the United States,” a migrant from the Dominican Republic, Salvador Pena, told the Houston Chronicle, which added “He said the tough, life-threatening and expensive journey is worth it.”

Mayorkas, a child refugee from Cuba, has already helped at least 12,400 of the 30,000 migrants who crossed the border at Del Rio stay in the United States.

Mayorkas told the reporters on Friday that he had admitted 12,400 migrants, nearly all of whom have already been released to get jobs and housing in the United States.

He released the economic migrants despite the widespread homelessness, drug addiction, and joblessness among the Americans who are not needed anymore by cost-cutting employers — or diversity-seeking journalists — amid the large flow of Mayorkas’s desperate, hard-working, cheap migrants.

Another 5,000 migrants are waiting to hear if they will be released or sent out of the United States, Mayorkas said  on Friday.

Only about 2,000 of the economic migrants have been sent home to the terrible conditions in the Haitians’ own country.

Roughly 8,000 migrants retreated from the Del Rio landing back into Mexico because they were afraid they could not get through the loopholes that Mayorkas has cut in the Title 42 barrier. Roughly two-thirds of the deported migrants are single adults.

Mayorkas has also cut a major loophole in the Title 42 barrier for people with an “acute vulnerability.”

This term applies to most migrants who bring children or claim to be pregnant. For example, most of the Del Rio migrants released into the United States arrived with children. Officials have not said if they investigated whether the adult migrants are the parents of the children they bring to the border.

However, many of the people with “acute vulnerability” come from safe countries, but choose to travel through the Darien Gap in Panama’s southern jungle. That Hunger Games trek kills many migrants who start on their journey after recognizing Mayorkas’s dangled offers of work in the United States.

For example, the BBC reported the case of Haitian Fiterson Janvier who migrated from his safe home in Chile with the three-year-old child who may take him through Mayorkas’s loopholes:

As he took his young family across the Darien Gap, seven days through the dense jungle between Colombia and Panama, Mr Janvier says he saw the dead bodies of other Haitian and Cuban migrants.

He describes being robbed of what little he had by “bandits” … He said some of the women were raped, although his wife managed to hide with the child when the gang appeared.

Nicolas, a Haitian migrant, told Al Jazeera TV network: “It was really difficult — I saw a lot of us who died.”

Despite the Title 42 barrier, Mayorkas also releases the youths and adults who say they are aged 17 or younger.

Mayorkas also does not test and exclude the migrants for coronavirus.

Mayorkas also told the press conference that he plans to create more openings for migrants to enter America, alongside the annual inflow of roughly one million legal immigrants. He indicated he uses his regulatory power to expand the variety of people who can get asylum by being members of a “particular social group” that faces “credible fear” of being sent home.

Under current rules, he said:

The definition of a “particular social group” was significantly constrained — that’s an understatement — in the Trump administration. And there is a body of law that speaks to that definition, and that definition is currently under review.

Mayorkas is also rewriting regulations to give low-level officials the power to grant the huge prize of U.S. citizenship to migrants, without any intervention by judges who are responsible for enforcing Congress’s law.

Mayorkas did not mention that federal law requires that all migrants who ask for asylum be detained pending their court appearance.

The federal government stopped enforcing that law during President Barack Obama’s term under the claim that it could not house tens of thousands of migrants.  That decision triggered a huge flood of at least three million migrants who knew they could work to repay their smuggling debts — and give birth to U.S. citizen children — while they wait several years for a judge to rule on their asylum request.

Mayorkas is the nation’s border security chief and is an immigration zealot.

In May, for example, he said the “highest priority” at his Department of Homeland Security is to reunite foreign families with the children they left behind in the United States when the adults were processed and deported during President Donald Trump’s term in office. “It’s not about righting the wrong of the past; it’s about restoring the conscience of our government,” Mayorkas said.

In June, he said his department will put the dignity of foreign migrants “foremost in our efforts.” Mayorkas described his “identity” as a champion for migrants in his speech to the 2021 American Constitutional Society (ACS) national convention:

The element of dignity [and] the rule of law. Those are two foundational guideposts as I seek to lead an agency, as we, as servants of the law, seek to bring justice in whatever we do. And here in the Department of Homeland Security, I think that must guide everything that we do.

Mayorkas also suggested his taxpayer-funded department exists to aid foreign nationals:

In the government, we have the privilege of seeking to make systemic change, to bring dignity, or I should say, to reflect in what we do, reflect the dignity of the people we serve on a very impactful and systemic basis. But we cannot forget that the rule of law, that the law as an instrument of delivering dignity, can bring that to the single individual. And we cannot understate the importance of doing so. And I think that sometimes the impact on one individual can reverberate throughout an entire institution and bring systemic change.

The emphasis on “people we serve” was added by the DHS transcript of the speech.

Mayorkas’ s2,100-word speech did not mention the lost dignity of the many millions of Americans who have lost income and wealth amid the inrush of poor migrants waived in by lax enforcement.

He did not mention the Americans victimized by un-deported migrant criminals or by the addictive drugs being loosed in communities by Mayorkas’s lax rules.

He did not mention the Americans cast aside by companies eager to exploit the cheap visa workers delivered by Mayorkas’s agency.

And Mayorkas did not suggest that he owes any debt of gratitude towards the children of the Americans who accepted him as a child migrant in 1960.

In contrast, Joe Biden, age 78, sometimes recognizes the dignity gained by Americans in a tight labor market. In a May 28 speech, Biden said:

Rising wages aren’t a bug; they’re a feature.  We want to get — we want to get something economists call “full employment.”  Instead of workers competing with each other for jobs that are scarce, we want employees to compete with each other to attract wrk.  We want the — the companies to compete to attract workers.

[…]

Well, wait until you see what happens when employers have to compete for workers.  Companies like McDonald’s, Home Depot, Bank of America, and others — what do they have to do?  They have to raise wages to attract workers.  That’s the way it’s supposed to be.

 

Illegal Alien Charged with Murdering Woman Who Reported Him for Abuse

An illegal alien has been charged with murdering a 23-year-old woman who was currently pressing charges against him for domestic abuse, Breitbart News has learned.

Freddy Remigio Mendieta Pando, a 23-year-old illegal alien from Ecuador, was arrested and charged in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, with first-degree murder in the September 11 death of 23-year-old Karina Torres, as well as third-degree murder.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency confirmed to Breitbart News that they had lodged a detainer on Pando so that if he is released from local custody, he will be turned over to them for arrest and deportation.

According to the Upper Darby Police Department, Pando turned himself in to police and confessed to murdering Torres along the nearby Schuylkill River Trail.

Police said Pando met up with Torres, his ex-girlfriend, at the location to discuss an ongoing domestic abuse case where Pando was being charged with strangling Torres sometime in July before they broke up. Torres had secured a protection from abuse order against Pando.

Pando, facing five to 10 years in prison for domestic abuse, told police that he was talking with Torres about the case when things got heated between them and she pulled out a knife. Pando allegedly confessed to taking the knife from Torres and stabbing her with it until she was dead.

From there, police said Pando threw the knife he used to stab Torres into the nearby river, along with her cellphone. Pando then hid Torres’s body under a pile of trees and drove back to his residence after throwing out his clothes in a garbage can.

When Pando turned himself in to police, he allegedly led investigators to Torres’ body. Pando is now facing life in prison and remains at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility where he is being held without bail.

(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) gave a speech on the House floor today talking about her status as a “Catholic mother” before the chamber voted to approve the Women’s Health Protection Act—which guarantees a nation-wide right to abortion on demand.

“I come to this as a Catholic mother of five in six years and one week and with the joy that all that meant to us,” said Pelosi.

“But with the recognition that it was my husband and I –our decision.  It was our decision,” Pelosi said. “And we should not, in this body or in that Court, be making decisions for the women in America.”

“We are standing on the side of women to defend their freedoms and to uphold this truth: every woman, everywhere has the constitutional right to basic reproductive health care–no matter what state you live in,” Pelosi said. 

“Constitutional rights are not meted out geographically,” she said. “They are for the country.”

The bill passed the House by a vote of 218 to 2011. Only one Democrat—Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas—voted against it.

Two Republicans—Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Rep. Debbie Lesko of Arizona—did not vote.

Here is the full transcript of Pelosi’s floor speech on the Women’s Reproductive Health Act: 

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi delivered remarks on the Floor of the House of Representatives in support of H.R. 3755, the Women’s Health Protection Act.  Below are the Speaker’s remarks:

"Speaker Pelosi.  Thank you very much, Madam Speaker.  I thank the gentleman for yielding and thank him for this leadership on this very important issue and to all of our colleagues in this pro-choice House Democratic Caucus.  This is the first time, Madam Speaker, that we have a pro-choice Democratic [Majority] with a Democratic president.  And the timing could not be better, because of the assault that has been made on the constitutional rights of women in our country. 

"Madam Speaker, coming to the Floor today, I recall an experience when I was in high school.  Now, that was a long time ago.  We were in a debate – extemporaneous debate situation.  And you had to pick something out of a hat and then speak to it.  Well, a person, a friend of mine, drew the question, and it said – now again, ancient history, a long time ago – it said, ‘Do women think?’  That was the question she had to speak to: ‘Do women think?’  It seemed horrible at the time.  It seems out of the question, beyond horrible now.

"Today, years later, it seems that there are some who want to debate that question, because the disrespect for women and their ability to determine the size and timing of their family and so many other things is disrespected in the action taken by the state of Texas.  But even worse than that – because what do you expect? – worse than that was the decision of this Court, the Supreme Court of the United States, to embrace the horror of it all, in terms of the legislation and what it did to remove the sanctity of private decision-making from women.  But also, that it gave an imprimatur to vigilantism.  Something so outrageous, so unpatriotic, so un-American – madly embraced by this shameful Court with total disregard for the precedent that the Court has already established: that Roe v. Wade was constitutional. 

"So today, I want to thank Judy Chu for her leadership.  Congress in, Congress out, but now a Majority and a President and a Democratic Senate by passing the – her leadership in introducing again and again and advocating the Women's Health Protection Act.  And we are standing on the side of women to defend their freedoms and to uphold this truth:  every woman, everywhere has the constitutional right to basic reproductive health care – no matter what state you live in.  Constitutional rights are not meted out geographically.  They are for the country.  Again, I salute Congresswoman Chu, Chair of the Contraception and Family Planning Task Force and the Pro-Choice Caucus, that's been introducing this bill over and over again.  Again, we have produced legislation that can become law.

"For years, radical restrictions on women's reproductive health freedoms have been pushed across the nation, with 2021 on track to be the worst legislative year for women's health rights.  I come to this as a Catholic mother of five in six years and one week and with the joy that all that meant to us.  But with the recognition that it was my husband and I – our decision.  It was our decision.  And we should not, in this body or in that Court, be making decisions for the women in America.  As of July, 90 reproductive health restrictions have been enacted, more than in any year since Roe v. Wade was enacted in 1973.

"But here's the thing: it's important for the women of America to know that, as this impedes their right to make decisions, the same forces at work don't want in vitro fertilization – actually, even the state of Mississippi rejected that, their prohibition on that – stand in the way of reproductive health and guidance in terms of family planning, birth control and the rest.  It's important for American women to know what we are up against when it comes to intrusion into the privacy of a family's life.  You would think with how they are so averse to governance in any way they wouldn't be so bullish about going into people's private lives in the way that they do.

"What the Supreme Court did was cowardly – a cowardly, dark-of-night decision and to allow that bill to go into effect.  How could it be?  Because it was a decision.  The Court made a decision, but the Republicans in Congress and the then-President made a decision to, in a way that was almost shameful, make sure that so many Justices on the Court – I say shameful because the last one, which they railroaded through – while opposing the review of a Democratic president's suggestion a few years earlier, saying they didn't have enough time.  A year.  They had enough time – a month. 

"We know that – I just want to say this about Roe.  In Roe, the Supreme Court held that the personal liberty is protected by the Constitution, which the Court had recognized as extending to decisions relating to marriage, procreation, contraception, family relations, child rearing.  And it's broad enough to encompass a woman's decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy.  SB 8 is extreme: banning abortion for most women before they even know.  Sometimes I wonder if they don't need a lesson in the birds and the bees.  But again, I just want to go to this point.  SB 8 unleashes one of the most disturbing, unprecedented, far-reaching assaults on health care providers and on anyone who helps a woman in any way access an abortion, by creating a vigilante bounty system that will have a chilling effect on the provisions of any health care services.  And what's next?  What's next with these vigilantes and their bounty system?

"Okay, so, my colleagues – I associate myself with their remarks on all of this, because they bring so much knowledge of the Constitution, knowledge of the history of – since 1973 and even studying it before.  Diana DeGette, one of the Co-Chairs of the Caucus, fought this issue in the courts and won, fought it in the court of public opinion, fought it in the Congress of the United States.  She and Barbara Lee and so many – of course,  Judy Chu – so many of our women have taken the lead on this.  But again, although about a third of our Caucus – more than a third – are women, our male colleagues have been very strong on this.  Therefore, we will have today a vote for women, a vote for respect for women, a vote for decency, a vote for pride in our Constitution and in our women. 

"With that, I yield back the balance of my time."

Abortion giant has received $100 million in small business loans

The Biden administration used the COVID relief package to give tens of millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood even after the federal government determined the billion-dollar abortion provider was ineligible for the program.

The Small Business Administration has given $23 million to 10 Planned Parenthood affiliates in 2021 through the Paycheck Protection Program. The agency sent those payments even though it ruled Planned Parenthood did not qualify for the funding, which was designed to aid small businesses dealing with government shutdowns and the coronavirus pandemic.

SBA, which did not respond to requests for comment, had previously ordered the nation's top abortion provider to return $80 million in taxpayer-backed PPP funds. The agency has not provided evidence that those funds were returned by any of the 37 Planned Parenthood affiliates that cashed the checks in 2020.

Sen. Rand Paul (R., Ky.) said the agency is ignoring its own ruling—which held that affiliates of organizations with more than 500 employees are ineligible for PPP—to reward a political ally.

"I think Democrats know it is illegal to give small business loans to the big business, that is Planned Parenthood, but they are completely in the tank for taxpayer-funded abortions," Paul told the Washington Free Beacon.

Planned Parenthood did not respond to a request for comment.

Planned Parenthood has more than $2 billion in net assets, according to its 2019-2020 annual report. The organization pledged more than $45 million to support Biden and other Democrats in the 2020 campaign. It has already spent nearly $700,000 on lobbying in 2021, an effort that is already bearing fruit after congressional Democrats and the Biden administration put forward budget proposals to overturn longstanding bipartisan bans on taxpayer-funded abortion.

Republican members of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship announced Monday that they will refuse to vote on the SBA's nominee for deputy administrator until the agency takes action to ensure Planned Parenthood returns the tens of millions in funds. The nominee for the position, Dilawar Syed, served on the board of directors of an organization tied to the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, which targets Israel with economic pressure.

Mallory Quigley, vice president of communications for the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List, said it is "unconscionable" that the federal government wasted $100 million in relief funds on a billion-dollar business like Planned Parenthood.

"This money was intended to help small businesses survive during the deadly pandemic, not subsidize our nation's largest abortion business which daily harms women and takes innocent lives," Quigley told the Free Beacon. "It's time to hold those who let this happen accountable."

It is the handmaidens working for Planned Parenthood who have joked about selling aborted baby body parts.  And it was Kamala Harris, when she was A.G. of California, who viciously prosecuted the young man who exposed that scandal, after she had received a hefty donation from Planned Parenthood.

 

Kamala Harris -- Planned Parenthood's Choice

Kamala Harris has been nominated by the Democratic Party to be a heartbeat away from the presidency, and judging from presidential nominee Joe Biden’s physical and mental condition these days, that might not amount to a whole lot of heartbeats. Her ascension would bring to power someone who has made war on the unborn, someone who has already used that power to shred the Constitution’s guarantee of the freedom of the press and persecute an investigative reporter who exposed Planned Parenthood’s efforts to harvest and sell aborted fetal body parts.  

David Daleiden heads the Center for Medical Progress, the group that unveiled what really goes on behind the curtain at Planned Parenthood, exposing the ghoulishness of the organization that profits off the destruction of human life and detailing past and future atrocities perpetrated by that organization in a series of revealing and damning videos.

Daleiden’s pro-life investigative reporting did not sit well with then California Attorney General Kamala Harris, who made it her mission to cancel Daleiden and his group, raiding his house, seizing his videos, video equipment, and notes, all with the purpose of ending his livelihood, his career, and his freedom. She prosecuted Daleiden under an obscure, rarely used, and arguably unconstitutional state law. As LiveAction.org reports:

Planned Parenthood relied heavily on its political allies to suppress the First Amendment rights of pro-life investigators David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt after the pair uncovered the corporation’s illegal trafficking of aborted body parts. Former California General Kamala Harris and current California Attorney General Xavier Becerra both pursued charges against the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) journalists instead of prosecuting Planned Parenthood for its criminal activities.

The federal civil rights lawsuit Daleiden filed in response has exposed how far Planned Parenthood’s political contacts will go to defend the organization’s reputation.

A recent update from Daleiden revealed that Planned Parenthood, Harris, and Becerra have all responded to the lawsuit filed against them, adding that all parties named in the suit have admitted the only reason Daleiden is being prosecuted is because the content of what he has said is something Planned Parenthood considers objectionable. The footage from Daleiden’s undercover investigation showed Planned Parenthood staff members coldly discussing the harvesting of fetal organs and negotiating the price of these “specimens.”

The Harris-managed vendetta against Daleiden, including a raid reminiscent of the deep-state raids on the homes of Roger Stone and Paul Manafort, is detailed by Madeline Osburn over at the Federalist:

Kamala Harris accepted the Democratic nomination for vice president Wednesday night, exactly three weeks after journalist and pro-life activist David Daleiden appeared in a San Francisco Superior Court, once again fighting the criminal charges Harris brought against him at the behest of her political donors four years prior. As Harris joins a campaign fighting for the “soul of our nation,” Daleiden continues a years-long battle for countless unborn souls and the First Amendment, both of which Harris has a record of fighting against.

In March 2016, as the California attorney general, Harris met with six Planned Parenthood officials in her Los Angeles office. Email records between Harris’s office and Planned Parenthood officials show the two were corresponding on orchestrating public responses, filing police reports, and even drafting legislation targeting Daleiden for his undercover videos exposing the abortion giant’s illegal practices…

Two weeks following that Los Angeles meeting, on April 5, 2016, Harris ordered state law enforcement agents to raid Daleiden’s home, tasking them with seizing his camera equipment, documents, and unreleased video footage. Daleiden’s attorneys argued Harris’s search warrant should have never been issued according to California’s shield law, which explicitly protects citizen journalists’ unpublished materials…

How blatant was Harris’s targeting of Daleiden and her disregard for a journalist’s First Amendment rights? For starters, Daleiden is the first person to ever be prosecuted for undercover video reporting in California. Her own deputy prosecutor later admitted in court that Daleiden was targeted solely because of the content his videos...

The appalling transcript of one disturbing video provided by the Center for Medical Progress has made clear that the alleged noble crusade against unwanted children is a fraud, and that Planned Parenthood’s interest in abortion is a financial one -- that human life is just a commodity to be bought and sold on the open market.

The video shows Planned Parenthood director of medical services Deborah Nucatola negotiating with two actors posing as agents of a fetal tissue procurement company discussing the body parts of aborted babies as if she was a butcher at the local meat market, as Breitbart.com reports:

“We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part,” Nucatola coldly explains. “I’m gonna basically crush [the unborn child] below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact… And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps.”

Nucatola also goes into great detail to explain how Planned Parenthood is able to use its loose affiliates as a way to protect the parent company from potential legal fallout…

Nucatola explains to the undercover reporters that the butchered body parts (hearts, livers, “lower extremities -- probably for the muscle”) sell for $30 to $100  apiece.

Indeed, immature or improperly dismembered baby parts could dramatically impact Planned Parenthood’s and the abortion industry’s bottom line. The use of aborted fetuses and their tissue is justified by abortionists as the key to medical research, as was using embryos for stem cell research. Planned Parenthood’s operation strays perilously close to the territory of Dr. Joseph Mengele, the Nazi “doctor” who justified his ghastly practices in the name of research.

Planned Parenthood and its supporters got caught with their forceps down, so anything they can do to cloud the issue and cast doubt on the integrity of their accusers is in their interest. Planned Parenthood has already tried to discredit the videos, saying they were carefully edited and that the admissions of Planned Parenthood officials of conducting a for-profit baby body part flea market was taken out of context. It is hard to imagine in what “context” the discussion of the price of a fetal head versus the price of a new Lamborghini is okay. As LifeNews.com comments:

The video of the Houston Planned Parenthood makes it appear the Planned Parenthood abortion business may be selling the “fully intact” bodies of unborn babies purposefully born alive and left to die. The video shows the Director of Research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Melissa Farrell, advertising the Texas Planned Parenthood branch’s track record of fetal tissue sales, including its ability to deliver fully intact aborted babies…

Planned Parenthood could be breaking the federal law known as the Born Alive Infants Protection Act that requires abortion clinics, hospitals and other places that do abortions to provide appropriate medical care for a baby born alive after a failed abortion or purposefully birthed to “let die.” That would be one of the potential ways Planned Parenthood could produce a “fully intact” baby to sell to StemExpress for research. Most “crunchy” abortion methods would do damage to the baby’s body.

Kamala Harris decided that Daleiden must be punished for exposing the ghastly activities of her patron Planned Parenthood. A similar fate awaits the rest of us should she grab the reins of power. Tucker Carlson of Fox News has rightly called Kamala Harris a corrupt and dangerous fraud who sees laws and powers only as means to punish her enemies, pursue her agenda, and get elected:

Carlson, who called Biden's vice presidential pick the "most consequential" choice in U.S. history, disputed Sen. Kamala Harris's authenticity on her progressive positions, saying the "front-runner" only stands by issues she knows will get her ahead in the polls. He cited the California Democrat's low polling numbers at the time that she ended her own bid for the presidency and dropped out of the Democratic primary race.

"The wrap on Harris in exit polls is that she’s a fraud," Carlson said. "She doesn’t really believe in anything, she'll say whatever it takes. Of course, that is also Harris’s primary strength."

Carlson also brought up an incident in which anti-abortion activist David Daleiden filed a lawsuit against Harris, alleging she and California Attorney General Xavier Becerra conspired with Planned Parenthood to terminate an investigation he was conducting into the fetal-tissue business. Daleiden accused Harris and Becerra of violating his First Amendment rights and abusing the state's two-party recording law to silence "disfavored speech."

Kamala Harris, like Biden, supports Planned Parenthood’s crimes against the unborn and takes money and endorsements from the abortion industry. One remembers her bitter and vitriolic participation in the Supreme Court confirmation hearing for Justice Brett Kavanaugh, her resorting to lies, falsehoods, and innuendo in an attempt to get what she wants and to keep this pro-life Catholic off the Supreme Court.

Kamala Harris, who slept her way into political power riding former California General Assembly leader Willie Brown’s, er, coattails, is a political dominatrix willing to inflict supreme pain and damage to our Constitution, our civil liberties, and the unborn

David Daleiden: Kamala Harris Prostituted Her Law Enforcement Powers to Planned Parenthood

David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), said Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) prostituted her powers in her former role as California’s attorney general for the benefit of Planned Parenthood in an interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday with host Joel Pollak.

Daleiden noted the partisan and political dimensions of California’s prosecution of him and his CMP colleague Sandra Merritt. Both he and Merritt were charged with 14 cases of illegal recording of confidential conversations and one count of conspiracy.

“Kamala Harris is the biggest threat to First Amendment civil liberties and First Amendment civil rights that our country has ever seen, in my opinion,” said Daleiden. “While she was the attorney General of the State of California, Kamala Harris, at the behest of her political patron — Planned Parenthood — targeted me for criminal punishment solely because of the content of the message that I was publishing and speaking at the time as you mentioned the undercover video series showing top-level Planned Parenthood officials callously negotiating the harvesting and sale of tiny aborted baby hearts and lungs and livers and brains.”

Daleiden continued, “In the State of California, when Kamala Harris was the attorney general, you could do undercover investigations of factory farming, corrupt chiropractors, [and] fraudulent air conditioning repairmen. Local TV news journalists in California [were] filming and publishing undercover video with conversations — sometimes even in private office spaces — and publishing these videos in on a daily weekly basis. Not a single one of those journalists ever had their home raided or were prosecuted by Kamala Harris’s attorney general’s office.”

LISTEN:

“But if you did the exact same kind of undercover filming and publishing, and your message was something that questioned Planned Parenthood or questioned the abortion industry — the sacred cows of Kamala Harris and the San Francisco political establishment in California — then in that case, I became the first and only person involved in news gathering, the first and only citizen journalist in the state of California to ever have the California video recording law enforced against me, criminally,” Daleiden added.

Daleiden went on, “It was launched under Kamala Harris. She targeted our message, specifically. She sent 11 California DOJ agents in April of 2016 to raid my one-bedroom apartment in Orange County with explicit instructions from Planned Parenthood to seize the means of publication, to seize the computers and the video equipment that I was using to publish the videos.”

“Kamala Harris’ deputy prosecutor, Johnette Jauron, who was in charge of the case, she admitted a few years later in 2018 in a filing in court that the reason that I alone have become the first citizen journalist in California to be prosecuted under the California video recording law — to have that law criminally enforced against me when it was enforced against against nobody else for news gathering in California — is because of the content of the videos themselves,” recalled Daleiden.

“It is blatant, unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination and invidious targeting of Americans whose message Kamala Harris disagrees with. So, she is a huge threat to our First Amendment civil liberties in this country.”

Pollak said, “It almost looks as if [Harris] initiated her prosecution of you at the instigation of Planned Parenthood to please Planned Parenthood, to help this politically-connected organization, which is so important for donations in the Democratic Party and for the future of anyone in Democratic politics. She basically acted at their behest. Is that true?”

Daleiden replied, “Yes, absolutely. Like I said, undercover video recording and reporting has never been criminally prosecuted in California in the history of the state until now, until this case, where the entity whose ox is being gored was Planned Parenthood, the political patrons of Kamala Harris and so many others in the California political establishment.”

He further noted how Harris coordinated her prosecution of him and his CMP colleague with Planned Parenthood.

“Just two weeks before she ordered the raid on my home, Kamala Harris had a secret in-person meeting in Los Angeles with several top-level Planned Parenthood of California officials,” stated Daleiden. “We have the action items from that meeting in an email that was produced to us in discovering the case, and those action items show that the meeting was primarily to discuss Planned Parenthood’s political agenda in the state of California, but included within their political agenda were the issues involved in Kamala Harris’s investigation of me.”

Daleiden concluded, “[Harris] was blatantly mixing her political constituent services functions with her law enforcement powers and basically prostituting her law enforcement powers to the service of her political campaign donors. She was running for United States Senate at that exact same time in March and April in 2016. She had petitions urging political support for Planned Parenthood on her campaign website.

He recalled that Harris’s executive office assistant while she was attorney general of California — who was ‘liaising with Planned Parenthood” while “working on this investigation” — later became Harris’s campaign manager during her first run for the U.S. Senate.

“It is a blatant use and abuse of law enforcement power solely to serve private partisan political interests, and that is why she is such a dangerous candidate,” concluded Daleiden.

The Fascist America That Kamala Promises

I do not use the term “fascist” lightly, but when even the liberal Los Angeles Times opens an article with a paragraph like the one that follows, I think fascist is apt:

“California Atty. Gen. Kamala Harris is drawing fire from supporters of an anti-abortion activist whose undercover videos and identity cards were seized by the state Department of Justice this week after Harris’ political campaign sought to drum up support for Planned Parenthood.”

The activist is David Daleiden, 27 at the time of the April 2016 raid on his Huntington Beach apartment. In 2016, Harris was running for California’s open U.S. Senate seat. At the time of the raid, Harris’s campaign website was asking supporters “to take a stand and join Kamala in defending Planned Parenthood.”

In the course of Planned Parenthood’s history, no one had presented a greater threat to the organization’s federal funding than the young journalist whose apartment Harris’s agents had just raided.

In the way of background, Daleiden and his partner Sandra Merritt had gone undercover for two years posing as the brokers in the fetal tissue market.

In July 2015 Daleiden started dropping the undercover videos the pair had shot at Planned Parenthood clinics in several states, including California.

The combination of callow words and cruel images, repeated in one video after another, rocked Washington. The timing was good. The 2016 presidential campaigns were revving up, and many Republicans spoke out about what they saw.

“The out-of-sight, out-of-mind mantra that propelled the pro-choice movement for decades is forever gone,” Kellyanne Conway, then a Republican pollster, told the New York Times. Reeling from the blow, even the Times had to wonder whether “the new offensive will succeed in crippling Planned Parenthood.”

Obama, the first president to speak at Planned Parenthood’s national convention, kept his distance from the hubbub. An indifferent media got no closer to the president than his press secretary, Josh Earnest.

On July 30, 2015, a young reporter asked Earnest if Obama had seen the video that was released on that day. The video in question begins with interview footage of harried Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards insisting, “It’s not a fee. It’s not a fee. It’s just the cost of trans- mitting this material.” The undercover footage that follows undercuts everything Richards said.

A doctor at a Planned Parenthood megaclinic in Colorado is seen explaining the clinic’s traffic in body parts. Aware that it is illegal to transfer “human fetal tissue” for “valuable consideration,” the doctor plays semantic games with the would-be purchasers.

“We don’t want to get called on, you know, selling fetal parts across states,” she jokes, unaware she is being recorded. This interview is followed by an on-site review of actual body parts with the doctor and a clinician.

What is impressive is how well Daleiden and Merritt play their roles as buyers. What is unnerving is how casually the doctor and clinician pick through trays of baby parts -- a heart, a brain, a lung -- while talking about the commercial viability of the “fetal cadaver.”

Running for president at the time, Hillary Clinton could not afford to be so dismissive. Although her first instinct was to attack the video producers, Clinton herself began to waver as each new video dropped.

“I have seen pictures from [the videos] and obviously find them dis- turbing,” Clinton told the New Hampshire Union Leader late that July. No one knew better than Clinton, however, what overwhelming force Planned Parenthood and its allies in the Democratic-media complex could bring to bear against a pair of citizen journalists.

For immediate assistance, Planned Parenthood turned to the well-connected fixers at -- where else? -- Fusion GPS. The beleaguered organization contracted with Fusion to review the unedited footage Daleiden had posted online.

Armed with a ten-page report from Fusion, Richards went on the offensive. Convincing people they did not see what they saw would not be easy, but the networks made the task possible by refusing to show the actual videos.

As to the newspapers and online journals, they did their bit by leaving the assessment of the videos to Fusion GPS. Faced with real journalists doing real work, the Obama courtiers reflexively turned stenographer. They welcomed this “forensic study” as heartily as they would Fusion GPS’s notorious “Steele dossier” a year later.

To complete the rout, the ambitious Harris had her agents seize Daleiden’s multiple computers and hard drives as well as the materials he had gathered from Planned Parenthood conferences.

Alexandra Snyder, the director of the Life Legal Defense Foundation, told the Los Angeles Times that Harris’s “loyalty to Planned Parenthood” required “her to turn a blind eye to the organization’s criminal activities.” Harris did more than turn a blind eye. “Instead,” said Snyder, “she has launched an inquisition into David Daleiden.”

In 2017, Harris’s successor as attorney general, Xavier Becerra, filed 15 felony charges against Daleiden and Merritt and has tied them up in court ever since.

In May 2020, Daleiden filed suit against Becerra and Harris, claiming Harris violated his civil rights by conspiring with Planned Parenthood to silence him.

In Kamala’s America, killing and dismembering unborn babies and marketing their body parts is perfectly acceptable. Reporting on the practice is criminal. If that is not fascistic, I am not sure I know what is.

Handmaid's Tale? Leftist handmaidens destroyed the USA

Many rational people who attempted to read Margaret Atwood's dystopian The Handmaid's Tale (1985) found it a big yawn.  But the left loved it.  So Hulu (a Disney company partly owned by Comcast), naturally made a mini-series of it.

Now we have the left opining, on September 21, that people like Amy Barrett were the inspiration for that totalitarian nightmare.  "Amy Coney Barrett, a favorite to be President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, is affiliated with a type of Christian religious group that served as inspiration for Margaret Atwood's dystopian novel, The Handmaid's Tale."

I suggest that the boot is on the other foot!  It has been the women of the left who are first and foremost the handmaidens responsible for the appalling state of the nation and its totalitarian, "woke" culture — and their narcissist soy boys like former President Obama, Trudeau of Canada, Newsom of California, et al.  Looked at in this light, Joe Biden is the perfect Democrat candidate!  As a white, ineffectual, imbecilic male, ready to drop off the perch, he is exactly what Democrat women love — and why they detest his opposite, Donald Trump.

Women now have enormous political power through sheer numbers.  Although there has been no female president as yet, women are heavily represented at all levels of the political, legal, bureaucratic, educational, health, H.R., and local county sectors.  Women are a determinative voting segment, and younger women have been educated to identify with the left.  Therefore, it is their policies, and their values alone, that have been enacted, including claiming the murder of their unborn children as their natural right.

It is the handmaiden founders of Black Lives Matter who have denigrated women's traditional role (part of the "oppressive patriarchy") and who have encouraged street violence.

It is the handmaidens working for Planned Parenthood who have joked about selling aborted baby body parts.  And it was Kamala Harris, when she was A.G. of California, who viciously prosecuted the young man who exposed that scandal, after she had received a hefty donation from Planned Parenthood.

So what area of the dystopian, censored "woke" society we now find ourselves in are women not responsible for?  The Deep State?  Oh, no!  We have the corruption of HRC — and scandal after scandal involving female politicians and officeholders, day after day.  The latest is handmaid Ilhan Omar's treacherous ballot-harvesting in Minneapolis.

One can only ask what else remains for these handmaidens to destroy.  Virtually nothing.  Traditional hearth and home demolished.  Constitutional law shredded.  Civil war lit.  Gender confusion.  A.I.-human interface planned.  They have, with the help of their male enablers and those who do not see themselves as the beneficiaries of dead, white males, chopped out, erased, expunged, and revoked the Western heritage, root and branch.  Yet, having accomplished all of this, they are unhappy.  It's not enough.  There are still those who dare to protest against them, like the illustrious signatories of the recent Philadelphia Statement, courteously requesting a return to freedom of speech in the cause of liberal democracy.  They will be canceled out because the Amazon handmaids have debauched the language as well, using the terminology of liberal democracy to mean its opposite (exactly as their buddies, the Chinese, do).

But there is hope.  We know from history that moral decay eventually leads to societal collapse — and the opportunity to rebuild anew.  I believe we may be witnessing not the beginning of a new nightmare, but the final death agonies of the feminist dystopia, paralleled in the fate of Joe Biden.

Intrinsic to the human psyche is a foundational desire to adore the Eternal Good — which many call "God."  When that is replaced by the lust for power, as Faust testified, hell enters.  In making that Faustian bargain, by exchanging womanly graces for vengeful power, the handmaids sowed the seeds of their own destruction.  That is the chaos we now behold.

It is the handmaidens working for Planned Parenthood who have joked about selling aborted baby body parts.  And it was Kamala Harris, when she was A.G. of California, who viciously prosecuted the young man who exposed that scandal, after she had received a hefty donation from Planned Parenthood.

The arrival of Joe Biden’s decision on a running mate is a true turning point in the history of American politics.

There has never before been a presidential candidate who, prior to entering the White House, has shown such undeniable signs of age-related neurological decay. All political disagreements disregarded, the sight of an elderly person succumbing to the demons of those dreaded cognitive ailments -- which all too often rob us of the older people we love -- is truly excruciating to behold.

The political outcome of Biden's mental state is, if possible, even more unsettling. The role of the president is meant to be powerful. All constitutional checks and balances considered, the sheer power of the chief executive, in that one single person invested with authority to counter-balance the power of the legislative and judicial branches, is truly awesome.

In our situation today, we see a man who is clearly not in full command of his mental faculties, who is allowing himself to be considered for that office of chief executive; an office which, unlike a prime minister in a parliamentary system, is intended to be stable and not prone to regular changes in leadership.

The expectation of a normal four-year presidential tenure on Biden’s part if he is elected must, at the very least, be subjected to serious doubt. If pronouncing basic words -- let alone quoting the most famous phrase of our Declaration of Independence -- is such a confusing  ordeal for him, then it is our urgent duty to question whether this individual is fit to be the man who must accept the ultimate responsibility for this country’s national security and well-being.

These facts squarely cast the Democrat side of the current election as not a presidential election at all, but a vice-presidential election.

Should Biden win, the chances are very probable that his vice president will become the 47th president to finish out his first four-year term. As the vice president automatically succeeds to the Oval Office if the president dies or is rendered permanently incapacitated, the profoundly anti-democratic repercussions of this situation is worsened by whom Biden has actually chosen.

The traditional custom for presidential hopefuls is to either choose the second-highest-polling candidate in a primary race, as Ronald Reagan did with George H. W. Bush in 1980, or to choose a highly capable politician who is well-respected by most of the party, as Donald Trump did with Governor Mike Pence in 2016. In both of those cases, the aforementioned running mates reflected the Republican Party and its voters quite respectably while promoting unity.

It is highly questionable, meanwhile, whether Kamala Harris -- aside from all of the establishment media’s expected giddy cheerleading -- really represents her party all that well. She was polling at 2% nationally by the time she ended her own presidential bid on December 3, 2019. Her more radical positions, such as support for the Obama administration’s Iran deal, prosecuting a journalist who exposed Planned Parenthood’s collection and sale of aborted babies’ body parts (while receiving campaign donations from them), and defending Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitism, may indeed sit well with a great many leftists, but her actions as Attorney General of California may not. While in that position, Harris jailed hundreds on marijuana charges and authorized anti-prostitution sting operations which, according to SF Weekly, disproportionately targeted Latino men (a crucial Democrat demographic). In addition to this -- though she later admitted it was a mistake -- she prosecuted and jailed the parents of truant teens. She even refused to release the names of Catholic priests accused of sexually molesting children, abnegating law enforcement’s most basic and humane duty -- regardless of anyone’s opinion of the Catholic Church.

it is highly debatable if these are positions that a high number of progressives who voted for the Democrat primary runner-up, Bernie Sanders, would approve of. Especially today, being tough on minority and drug crime -- to the exclusion of “white patriarchal” clergy sex abuse -- is not en vogue among the Democratic Party’s truly energized base, which is largely college-educated millennials taught to have contempt for not only aggressive inner city policing, but inner city policing overall.

It also remains a question as to how many black American voters Kamala really represents. Without doubt, she completely failed to gain these voters' support during the primary. Many black Americans responded to Barack and Michelle Obama due to their image as people who empathized authentically with the black experience of living in inner city America. Harris’s flip-flopping on criminal justice issues has clearly deprived her of the Obama touch.

What should highly concern all Americans of whatever political persuasion is the fact that, given Joe Biden’s medical condition, a Democrat victory in 2020 could very likely result in a person for whom only 2% of Democrats and Democrat-leaning Independents supported to become president.

The reasons for Biden’s choice of Kamala Harris as his running mate are as yet not entirely clear. What is very clear, however, is that a new president of the United States in the near future could be a person whom a weak and faltering man chose by fiat, and not someone whom the majority of the country elected by the ballot.

That's a problem.

It's a problem for America -- and it's a serious and profound problem for American democracy.

All of this is, if we can be permitted to use Biden’s catchphrase, “malarkey.” Harris has already proven herself as a trusted servant of the interests of the rich and powerful at the expense of the working class. The Wall Street Journal wrote last week that Wall Street financers had breathed a “sigh of relief” at Biden’s pick of Harris. Industry publication American Banker noted that her steadiest stream of campaign funding has come from financial industry professionals and their most trusted law firms.

There is something fitting in the selection of Harris to co-lead the Democrats’ ticket. The response of the Democrats to the mass multi-racial and multi-ethnic protests against police violence that erupted earlier this year was to divert them into the politics of racial division, using the reactionary and false claim that what was involved was a conflict between “white America” and “black America,” rather than a conflict between the working class and capitalism.
