In NYC, they are put up in hotels and given $350 a week. Numerous big cities have been utterly wrecked by this influx of third world illegal aliens. These usurpers are being paid, fed and sheltered at taxpayer expense while the homeless problem continues to worsen. American veterans are booted from their living quarters to make room for migrants who being carefully distributed throughout the country to be counted for re-apportionment.
Ted Cruz Deems Border Crisis an ‘Invasion’ – and Two-Thirds of Voters Agree
The flood of illegal immigrants into the U.S. constitutes an “invasion,” Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Wednesday – the same day Rasmussen Reports released survey results showing that a strong majority of voters agree with him about what’s taking place at the nation’s southern border.
“We are witnessing a profound threat to our nation at the southern border,” Sen. Cruz told reporters, describing the rampant illegal immigration as an “invasion” being facilitated by the Biden Administration:
“Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and this entire administration has deliberately and willfully facilitated the criminal invasion of this country. It is a humanitarian crisis, it is a public safety crisis, it is a national security crisis.”

“That is why the House of Representatives impeached (DHS Sec.) Alejandro Mayorkas – because he has aided and abetted the criminal invasion of this United States.”
Democrats in Congress have been loath to characterize the border situation as an invasion. But, results of a national Rasmussen survey, conducted March 31-April 2, reveal that 64% of U.S. likely voters say “invasion” is at least a “somewhat” accurate description – including 42% who call it “very accurate.”
Minorities are more prone that Whites to call the situation an invasion. While 61% of Whites say it’s at least somewhat accurate, 66% of Blacks and 70% of other non-Whites approve of the characterization. Nearly half of other non-Whites (47%) consider it very accurate.
Democrat voters are the most opposed to the use of “invasion,” as less than half (46%) consider it acceptable, including just 23% who think it’s a very accurate descriptor. In contrast, 87% of Republicans and 60% of other voters call it an accurate term.
Likewise, only 29% of voters who “strongly approve” of Democrat Joe Biden’s job performance as president think “invasion” is an accurate description, Rasmussen reports.
A new Texas law authorizing the state’s law enforcement to arrest illegal immigrants, based on a provision in the U.S. Constitution empowering states to repel invasions, is being held up in the courts by a Biden Administration lawsuit. The White House is claiming that the surge of illegal immigrants is not an “invasion.”
But, as Heartland Institute’s Justin Haskins explains in a Newsweek commentary, the illegal immigration surge fits the Founders Fathers’ definition of “invasion.” The New York Times best-selling author notes they the Founders set a very low bar for states needing to respond to invasion:
“In Article One, Section 10, the Constitution declares, ‘No State shall, without the Consent of Congress...engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.’"

“Today's pundits, legislators, and voters might disagree about what constitutes an ‘invasion,’ but in the era of the Founding Fathers, when that clause of the Constitution was written, the word had a clearer meaning. To the Founders, an "invasion" referred to any unauthorized entry that includes even a slight degree of hostility.”
As a result, “invasion” has been cited in order to justify state actions against pirates, barbarians, and now, drug cartels and illegal migrants.
On Wednesday, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed into law a bill mirroring Texas' new measure. And, again, the Biden Administration is suing.
Report: Renters Worry They Won’t Be Able to Afford Homes in Biden’s America
Many renters in the United States worry that they will never be able to buy a home, citing a lack of affordability, according to a recent survey.
A survey commissioned by Redfin and conducted by Qualtrics surveyed 3,000 residents. Out of this number 1,000 participants indicated they were renting.
The survey found that 38 percent of renters had doubts that they would ever be able to own a home, an increase from 27 percent in 2023.
Among the list of reasons were “rising home prices and mortgage rates” that are making it difficult for renters to “believe in the American dream of homeownership.”
“Lack of affordability is the most commonly cited reason renters don’t believe they’ll ever own a home,” the report said.
“Housing costs are high across the board, but renting is a more affordable and realistic option for many Americans right now-especially those who have never owned a home and aren’t able to tap into equity from a previous sale,” Redfin Chief Economist Daryl Fairweather said in a statement.

When asked about the reasons why renters were not likely to purchase a home anytime soon, 44 percent said it was because homes were too expensive, 35 percent cited the inability to save for a down payment, 33 percent said it was not being able to afford mortgage payments, and 32 percent said it was because of high mortgage rates.
Other reasons for renters not being like to purchase a home included regular maintenance and upkeep being too expensive, lack of homes available to purchase, and needing to pay off student loans first.
This survey comes after a recent study conducted by the St. Louis Federal Reserve’s Institute for Economic Equity found that one in three people from Generation Z had a lack of income and a negative outlook on the economy.
Younger people were also more likely to be unable to afford a home or even save for retirement.
Another survey from the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University found that in 2022, as renters dealt with increasing rent during the COVID-19 pandemic, “a record half of U.S. renters paid more than 30% of their income for rent and utilities,” with “nearly half” of renters ending up having to pay “more than 50% of their income.”
President Joe Biden’s open border policy and the flood of legal and illegal immigrants into the United States were found to be among the factors driving up the cost of rent.
Since Biden was inaugurated in January 2021, he has allowed almost eight million migrants into the United States.
A report from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that under the Biden administration, roughly 6.2 million illegal migrants have entered the United States.
This is on top of 1.5 million “gotaways” that have crossed the southern border on Biden’s watch, roughly 800,000 overstay illegal migrants in 2022, and roughly two million legal immigrants in the United States.
The migration flood created by Biden’s open border policies has caused the population in the United States to grow, which has impacted housing prices.
Due to rising housing costs that have led to a shortage of affordable housing, homelessness has risen in many cities. Between 2022 and 2023, homelessness in the United States rose roughly 11 percent, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Sanctuary Cities, NGOs Resettling Migrants for Biden Administration Secure $300M in Taxpayer Dollars
Several sanctuary cities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are expected to secure $300 million in American taxpayer dollars for resettling migrants across the United States on behalf of President Joe Biden’s administration.
On Friday, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that certain cities and NGOs will soon receive $300 million worth of federal grants via the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Shelter and Services Program (SSP).
The Biden administration created SSP, funded by Congress, to dish out taxpayer money to cities and NGOs helping resettle migrants after they are released into the nation’s interior from the southern border.
In his announcement, Mayorkas said about $275 million will soon be distributed to cities and NGOs while the remaining $25 million will be given out toward the end of the year. Another nearly $341 million will be awarded through SSP’s competitive grants.
The taxpayer funds are only the latest to be allocated to cities and NGOs resettling migrants for the Biden administration.
Last year, alone, DHS provided such cities and NGOs with more than $780 million in funds via SSP and the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), a program started in the late 1980s meant to help homeless Americans.
According to the latest Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimate, published in January, the Biden administration has released 6.2 million migrants into the U.S. interior since early 2021.

Marsha Blackburn Calls for Senate Trial Against Mayorkas
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is calling for a full Senate trial against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, which she emphasized during an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday.
Blackburn said she is “very hopeful” that Republicans are going to emerge as the victors in the 2024 presidential election because Americans “know that many of the problems in this country are caused by that wide open border.”
“I am very hopeful that we are going to win this thing because I think the American people love their freedom. They love their country. And they are not going to sit idly by and let the Democrats take their freedom,” she said, pointing directly to Mayorkas’s impeachment trial.
“Look at what we’re facing right now with Mayorkas. Chuck Schumer is saying he’s going to table the Articles of Impeachment and not move forward with a trial. And of course, what you’ve got is back when it was Donald Trump, Chuck Schumer was saying we have to do our constitutional duty. We have to have this trial and, man, it is the constitutional duty. It is laid out. … Go pull up the Constitution. Look at Article One, Section Two, that lays out what the House has to do in impeachment. And Section Three lays out what the Senate has to do. So that’s Article One, Section Two, and Section Three. And the American people know that many of the problems in this country are caused by that wide-open border,” Blackburn said, explaining that lawmakers should be “impeaching Mayorkas.”

“You’ve got hundreds of thousands of Americans that have been adversely impacted by this open border — the drugs and the fentanyl, fentanyl deaths, families that have been broken apart, human trafficking, sex trafficking, crime in communities that is adversely impacting individuals. All of that is happening,” the Tennessee senator said.
“And then you’ve got one of the things we’ve heard a good bit about recently, is the way those that have been paroled into the country and have gotten a work permit, they’re out taking the jobs of hard working Americans and then making it more difficult for those individuals to find employment,” she continued, laying out the issues.
When asked if she believes there needs to be U.S. Senate trial just like they did with President Trump, Blackburn said, “Yes, absolutely.”
“We are constitutionally bound and mandated to do [that], and Matt, the American people need to know what has transpired,” she said, explaining that Americans need to know how Biden made the decision to “take 94 executive orders in the first 100 days of Joe Biden’s administration” to open up the border and make it easier for migrants to enter the country illegally.

“They weakened immigration law — 94 different actions. They also need to know where the money is coming from to pay for all of these individuals. How is it that they are financing all of this? People want to know, my goodness, you hear about the amount of money that is being spent to fly individuals around the country once they cross the border,” she said, pointing to the parole program, which also flies parolees from countries to the United States.
“And we get asked these questions every day. So let’s expose every bit of that. Let’s put every bit of that information out so that the American people can see and find out exactly how this was done and then be able to hold people responsible for what has transpired with this open border,” Blackburn added.

NYC Migrant Accused of Boat Joyriding Freed Without Bail, Then Tries Again
The homeless migrant recently accused of taking an FDNY fireboat and another vessel for joyrides is apparently up to his old tricks again in New York City.
The suspect, who is originally from Ecuador, got into trouble for allegedly swiping the historic FDNY boat, then later hopping onto a sailboat. Not long after officials released him without bail on Friday, he reportedly tried to board a much bigger ship in Manhattan, the New York Post reported on Friday, citing multiple sources:

Juan Hernandez, 22, of Ecuador was set free by Judge Marva Brown on Friday morning after allegedly taking the former FDNY-owned vessel John J. Harvey on a wild journey down the Hudson River early Thursday before swiping a sailboat in Chelsea for another jaunt.
By noon Friday, the alleged boat bandit was back on the street and trying to get onboard the Frying Pan — a 133-foot lightship that boasts a popular floating restaurant at Pier 66, according to workers and owners.
Co-owner of the Pier 66 Maritime, Angela Krevey, said the man claimed he left his passport aboard the vessel. However, some people said he may have thought the Frying Pan was the fire boat because of its location and color scheme.
The man reportedly demanded to be let onto the barge, but when the police were called to handle the situation, they said they were unable to do anything about him because he is a free man, Krevey explained, adding there was no passport onboard the vessel.
When speaking of the incidents that happened on Thursday, Krevey said, “If he was charged with two counts of grand larceny, why was he released from jail? I don’t get this city. I really don’t.”

Social media users were quick to share their thoughts on the case, one person writing, “NYC has fallen. The Mayor calls it the ‘perception’ of crime. Stay away from NYC.”
“This is the NY you wanted, now, you got it. Keep voting for liberal policies and politicians and they will give you what you deserve,” another user commented.
It is important to note that sanctuary cities and their surrounding suburbs are suffering a crime wave because of migrants released by President Joe Biden’s (D) administration after they illegally crossed the border, Breitbart News reported on January 31.
“Police, particularly in the Chicago area and New York City, reported significant increases in crime related to migrants relocated to their cities,” the outlet said.
