BILL MAHER ON BIDEN'S DREAM LAND OR TWIIGHT SLEEP AT THE WHEEL - ‘I Don’t See Good Things Economically on the Horizon’ – We Have a Massive Deficit

Maher: ‘I Don’t See Good Things Economically on the Horizon’ – We Have a Massive Deficit

0:54

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said he doesn’t “see good things economically on the horizon” and this is partially due to the large budget deficit the United States has.

Maher said that he does think people will return to work, adding, “I don’t think we can continue on the path we’re on where the stock market keeps going up, do you? Do you see good things in our economic future with what’s going on with our politics and with our deficit? I read today, just — it was like something like 2.7 trillion, we never had one this high, except for last year. I don’t see good things economically on the horizon. Maybe that’s my pessimism.”

On Wednesday, President Biden traveled to Scranton, Pennsylvania, to sell his doomed “human infrastructure” bill, which smells more like an un-showered Green New Deal and quacks like another welfare boondoggle.

“The cost of the Build Back Better bill in terms of adding to the deficit is zero, zero, zero,” he lied, lied, lied. “Because we’re going to pay for it all.”

Well, yes, you better believe we are going to pay for it. Just not in the way Mr. Biden claims. This bill is “paid for” — just like every other dime of the $28 trillion in debt these dirty louts have racked up in your name over the past several decades.

While in Scranton, Mr. Biden ambled down memory lane. And ambled and ambled and ambled.

Old stuttering nicknames. Family lore. Uncles in the kitchen. Grandmas and laced doilies at the dining room table. All fairly incomprehensible. He did manage to invoke just about every person in his family whoever died — just because that is what Joe Biden does when his chips are down.

And he talked about how much he loves the federal government’s disastrous and irrelevant Amtrak rail system. Again, not exactly what you would call “confidence-inspiring” if you are trying to sell a federal “infrastructure” bill.

“I commuted every single day for 36 years as vice president of the United States after my wife and daughter were killed. I went home to see my family. Never stopped.”

Hoo boy.

To be fair, it was one of Joe Biden’s best speeches of his presidency. Certainly among his least dishonest. And definitely not plagiarized.

Thirty-six years as vice president. That is the same kind of enthusiastic math that gets you to “zero, zero, zero.”

As we have noted before, the Biden administration is an aging, faded rock band that lost its lead singer.

White House spokesgal Jen Psaki, and all the rest of them are lobotomized zombies left over from the Obama administration. They are lost, out of tune, popped guitar strings, searching for their swamp god.

This reminds me of a joke. What is worse than waking up in bed next to Willie Nelson?

Realizing it’s not Willie Nelson.

How exactly does this apply to the current political situation? Well, for all these wandering Obama zombies, they all went to bed with Barack Obama — only to wake up and realize they had actually spent the night with Joe Biden. And his diaper came loose in the bed.

So now they are fumbling around, desperate to reignite the old magic of Hope and Change.

Ms. Psaki steps to the White House press lectern — a gentle crowd if there ever was one — and tries out a few lines of comedy. Anything to get that old spark back.

She tries cracking funny about the tens of thousands of children who have been illegally smuggled across the Southern border under the Biden administration because, for some reason, she did not want to admit that the administration is flying the children all over the country “in the middle of the night.”

But don’t make a joke about Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg taking two months’ paternity leave during the worst transportation crisis since Jimmy Carter’s gas lines!

Of the supply chain crisis, Ms. Psaki found more comedy material. In apparent mirth, she dismissed it as the “tragedy of the treadmill” — which is both unfunny and incomprehensible. At least she does an accurate job of capturing Joe Biden’s “thinking.”

Anyway, Ms. Psaki also dismissed the notion that the federal government is responsible for the collapsed supply chain.

“We are not the Postal Service,” she sniffed. Except, you are! Dimwit. And you run the post office about as brilliantly as you run Amtrak.

Sean Spicer Launches Book to Warn Nation How Biden Is ‘Most Progressive’ President

Sean Spicer, a former press secretary in the Trump administration, said Friday that his new book would serve as a “warning” about how President Joe Biden touts himself as the most “progressive” president.

Spicer, a Newsmax TV host, spoke with Heritage Action executive director Jessica Anderson about his third bookRadical Nation: Joe Biden & Kamala Harris’s Dangerous Plan for America.

The former Trump White House press secretary said he meant the book to serve as a “warning” about Biden and Vice President Harris’s radical agenda for the nation.

Spicer noted that Biden “told us he was going to be the most progressive president ever.”

Biden hopes to pressure congressional Democrat leaders into passing two infrastructure bills, the so-called bipartisan infrastructure bill, or the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, as well as the infrastructure reconciliation bill, or the Build Back Better Act. These bills represent trillions of dollars in social welfare spending, climate change programs, and other leftist carveouts that would radically increase the scope of the federal government in Americans’ lives.

Spicer said Biden’s policies would “transform the structure and nature of the economy.”

“Once government has its tentacles in things, it never lets go,” he added.

Anderson said Spicer’s book details a pivotal March White House meeting in which Biden revealed that he wants to be one of the most consequential presidents in modern history.

Spicer commented that Biden wants to “cement” himself as the “most progressive president.”

Spicer said Democrats hope to further cement “permanent political power” and continue to pass policies “ad infinitum,” Spicer said, observing that Democrats hope to pack the Supreme Court with additional justices, add Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico as states, and allow noncitizens to vote.

He also said this would “ensure that you always have the vote and have the institutions in control.”

Kamala makes pro-McAuliffe video to be illegally played in over 300 Black churches in Virginia

CNN reports:

More than 300 Black churches across Virginia will hear from Vice President Kamala Harris between Sunday and election day in a video message that will air during morning services as part of an outreach effort aimed to boost McAuliffe.

In the video, first obtained by CNN, Harris said her time growing up in Oakland's 23rd Avenue Church of God taught her it was a "sacred responsibility" to "lift up the voices of our community."

"I believe that my friend Terry McAuliffe is the leader Virginia needs at this moment," says Harris, before praising McAuliffe's "long-track record of getting things done for the people of Virginia."

Harris implores congregants to vote following church service. The McAuliffe campaign has embraced "Souls to the Polls," block-party style events featuring top campaign surrogates after church near polling locations, to drive voter turnout.

This election is the first year Virginians will be able to vote on Sunday.

You can watch the video here:

This is blatantly illegal, crossing the line into outright advocacy of voting a certain way right after church, now that Sunday voting is legal in Virginia for the first time (emphases added):

So Virginians, you have the opportunity now to raise your voice through our vote, because it's election time. As you know, this is an important election coming up on Tuesday, November 2. And early voting is already underway.

I believe that my friend Terry McAuliffe is the leader Virginia needs at this moment. Terry McAuliffe has a long track record of getting things done for the people of Virginia. When he was governor, in the wake of the Recession, you'll remember, he brought 200,000 jobs to Virginians. Incomes went up, and unemployment went down in every city and county of the state.

And now Terry McAuliffe is stepping up again, with a clear vision about how to rebuild Virginia's economy for the future: to raise the minimum wage, to make healthcare more affordable, to give every child a world-class education. Virginians, you deserve a leader who has a vision of what is possible, and the experience to realize that vision. Terry McAuliffe is that leader.

In 2020. more Virginians voted than ever before. And because you did, you helped send President Joe Biden and me to the White House. This year, I know that you will send Terry McAuliffe back to Richmond

So, early voting has already started. And this is the first year that you can vote on Sunday. So please, vote after today's service. And if you cannot vote today, make a plan to go vote.

Byron York tweets to IRS particulars:

As Mary Walter notes in a tweet, the Dems know and don't care because they'll get away with it.

This will stop only when some Black churches lose their tax-exempt status for partisan campiagn activities.  How likely is Lois Lerner's successor to care about enforcing this law?

In today's racial climate, enforcing the law that would be called racist and denounced as "violence" — to be countered by real violence, most likely.

Update: As Rebecca Downs points out at Townhall:

The IRS might want to check in on the churches where Stacey Abrams is campaigning on behalf of Democratic gubernatorial candidate McAuliffe as well. As Will Weissert reported for AP, former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams made appearances at three churches in Norfolk, Virginia, including Second Calvary Baptist Church and Faith Deliverance Christian Center.

When asked, “Is Joe Biden really doing the job of president, or are others making decisions for him behind the scenes?” Only 39 percent said “Joe Biden is really doing the job of president,” while a majority of 51 percent said, “others are making decisions for him.”

So Joe Biden is increasingly seen as a president not up to the job and a president who is not really making the decisions he was elected to make.

In his forthcoming book Battle for the Soul: Inside the Democrats' Campaign to Defeat Trump, Dovere writes that the remark came after the Obama Foundation's 2017 holiday party in Chicago, when his staff asked how it felt "to be made out as an anticapitalist by the Republicans," despite the fact that he had previously worked with big banks and corporate leaders.

Philadelphia, the Trayvon Martin incident in Florida, the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri or the Freddie Gray episode in Baltimore, among others.  Thus, Obama gave his tacit imprimatur to the formation of the Marxist Black Lives Matter Organization and wordlessly sanctioned violence and looting in any racially charged incident in the future.

Obama Said Tea Party Movement Was Composed of 'Racist Motherf---ers,' According to New Book

Virginia Chamlee

Thu, May 20, 2021, 11:50 AM

· Donald Trump or of the Tea Party movement that preceded his rise — and according to a new book, he used choice words to describe both. The book, by Atlantic journalist Edward-Isaac Dovere, quotes Obama referring to Trump as a "f---ing lunatic" and saying the right-wing Tea Party movement was comprised of "racist motherf---ers."

"Obama gave a long, reasoned answer," Dovere writes in the book, as reported by Business Insider. "As for the Tea Party, Obama said, well, they were 'racist motherf---ers.' "

The right-wing Tea Party movement sprouted up in 2009, and was at the time focused on undoing Obama's landmark health care law and enacting conservative fiscal policies.

RELATED: What Does Barack Obama Really Think of Donald Trump? 'He's Nothing But a Bullsh--ter'

According to Business Insider, Dovere writes that Obama, 59, referred to Trump, 74, as "a madman," and once said of his presidency: "I didn't think it would be this bad."

Obama also reportedly said of Trump: "I didn't think we'd have a racist, sexist pig," and referred to the former reality star as a "f---ing lunatic" and a "corrupt motherf---er" when it was reported that Trump had phone calls with foreign leaders without any American aides listening in.

As PEOPLE earlier reported for its 2017 cover story on the 44th president, Obama on election night 2016 privately called Trump "nothing but a bullshitter," according to sources close to the then-president.

Sources told PEOPLE the comment came while Obama was describing an election night phone call with Trump, in which the businessman suddenly professed his "respect" and "admiration" for his predecessor, following years of hectoring and promulgating the racist "birther" conspiracy theory.

Obama's opinion didn't seem to change much over the next four years, with the former president often criticizing Trump's tenure in office while campaigning for Joe Biden, his former vice president.

At an October 2020 drive-in rally for the then-Democratic nominee, Obama slammed Trump, saying he wasn't focusing on the well-being of the country and was instead only working to promote himself using a "reality show" style of politics.

New book claims Obama was a 'parasite' who sucked the Democratic Party dry to get reelected

Morgan Phillips

A "parasite" on the Democratic Party is how journalist Edward Isaac Dovere describes former President Obama in his forthcoming tell-all book "Battle for the Soul: Inside the Democrats' Campaign to Defeat Trump."

In a chapter entitled "Benign Neglect," Dovere writes that the section’s namesake is how Obama aides privately described his abandonment of the Democratic Party once in the White House. "‘Negligence’ might be more accurate," Dovere, writer for The Atlantic and former chief Washington correspondent for Politico, writes.

"The numbers are hard to ignore: during his eight years in office, Obama oversaw a net loss of 947 state legislative seats, 63 House seats, 11 senators, and 13 governors," he continues.

In 2008, Democrats increased their majorities in the House and Senate, delivering Obama the legislature for his first two years in office. In 2010, Republicans took the majority in the House with the Tea Party wave and Democrats maintained but shrunk their majority in the Senate. In 2014, Republicans gained control of both the House and Senate.

Dovere writes that the 44th president carried himself with a "self-assured self-regard."

OBAMA CALLED TRUMP A ‘F---ING LUNATIC,' BOOK SAYS

"Obama never built a Democratic bench and never cared to, aside from a few scattered candidates who interested him," according to the book.

Dovere writes that "defenders" of Obama have argued he didn’t want to "taint" his presidency by " mucking about in fundraising," or that he didn’t want to spoil the image voters had of him as an independent politician, or that faced with the choice to campaign or govern, he would always choose govern.

Dovere writes that during his first term, Obama used the party structure as a "host" for his next campaign.

In 2009, Obama hired his friend Tim Kaine to head the DNC, even though Kaine was also serving as governor for the first year on the job.

In a scathing passage Dovere claims Kaine was at the time "commuting two days a week to oversee the pilfering of talent, money, resources, and purpose for the Obama reelection effort that was already under way."

"In his second term, he cared about what happened to the husk as much as any parasite does," Dovere says.

Dovere pointed to the Obama team’s decision to strike a deal with the Democratic National Committee (DNC) that saddled the committee with $2.4 million in leftover debt from Obama’s 2012 election. In return, "Obama for America" gave the DNC its email list, and Obama was supposed to headline additional fundraisers.

The Obama Years Sowed the Seeds for the Current Societal Chaos

By Steve McCann

The election of Barack Obama in 2008 and the unfathomable defeat of his hand-picked successor Hillary Clinton in 2016 rendered inevitable the societal chaos and attempted cultural revolution presently roiling the country.  This entire wretched spectacle comes with a label of origin: Manufactured by Obama and Associates.

After nearly 40 years of gradual infiltration and eventual domination of the Democrat party, as well as the media, entertainment and education establishments, the radicalized American left in 2008 achieved a major objective.

BLOG EDITOR: NO ONE CAN REMEMBER A SINGLE THING BARACK OBAMA DID FOR BLACK AMERICA AS HE AND HOLDER SABOTAGED AMERICAN LAWS, VOTING AND BORDERS TO FLOOD AMERICA WITH DEM VOTING MEXICANS.

They found their ideal stealth candidate, Barack Obama.  Not only was he, beneath the façade of glibness and conviviality, a fellow Marxist/socialist, but more importantly, he was able to take advantage of decades of inculcated racial guilt among the populace.

Thus began the final stages of the grand strategy to fundamentally transform the nation, following the installation of the most radical administration in the history of the country.  Revealingly, the victors were unabashedly shameless in their triumph.  In their myopic belief that they and their fellow travelers were permanently ensconced in government, the Obama administration and their sycophants in the media did not hesitate to openly advocate and implement policies not wanted by the electorate.  Whether health care reform, amnesty for illegal aliens, unfettered and unrestrained voting and attendant fraud, gun control or packing the judiciary with likeminded leftists, their primary purpose was not, as they proclaimed, to improve the lives of the citizenry but to make certain the radical left would be permanent occupants in the corridors of power.

Additionally, and for the same overall objective, Barack Obama and his henchmen deliberately fanned the flames of race and identity politics to further divide the populace and foment riots that would dramatically enhance the power of the central government.  Obama never missed an opportunity to pour gasoline on the flames of violence and racial animosity, whether it was justifying voter intimidation by the Black Panthers in Philadelphia, the Trayvon Martin incident in Florida, the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri or the Freddie Gray episode in Baltimore, among others.  Thus, Obama gave his tacit imprimatur to the formation of the Marxist Black Lives Matter Organization and wordlessly sanctioned violence and looting in any racially charged incident in the future.

Therefore, every action, policy and pronouncement made during the eight years of the Obama Administration must be viewed through the prism of Marxist/socialist megalomania and self-aggrandizement.

The destructive political/economic philosophies of Marxism and socialism are embraced by modern day self-absorbed supremacists not to improve the lot of the proletariat but to achieve permanent political power.  The governing end-product of Marxist thought is the same as monarchies and oligarchies -- the domination of a state by a select class or individual.  Today’s progressives or Marxists/socialists are no different than those other rulers throughout the history of mankind who fervently believed they were pre-ordained as a class to rule the masses.

As modern democratic societies will not accept the concept of an authoritarian dictator or monarch, a powerful central government dominated by true believers, with its trappings of legitimacy, serves as a substitute.  For this strategy to succeed, the public must, over time, be manipulated and intimidated by the unrelenting provocation of class animosity, and unique to America, insoluble racial conflict.

In due course, a progressively larger swath of an intentionally ill-educated populace is gulled into accepting the premise that only government -- and not the individual -- can provide societal peace and the guarantee of economic security for everyone.  This cannot be accomplished in a country such as the United States in an era of adversity but rather one of overwhelming peace and prosperity when the public is quiescent and content.

The last period of true national hardship was the 1930s and the Great Depression.  In the intervening eighty years, as the United States evolved into the most powerful economic and military force the world has ever seen and its citizens the most prosperous, there has been an inexorable and near irreversible march to government domination of the citizenry.  Parallel to this track has been the rise of an ever-increasingly radicalized American Left.

Over this same period, the bulk of the electorate, reveling in their prosperity and international status, assumed the nation was in reasonably good hands with the two political parties whose motives and agenda were rarely, if ever, questioned.  Most did not realize that by the mid 2000’s the increasingly radicalized left had a stranglehold on the Democratic Party.

Equally culpable for this nation being in its current predicament is the feckless Republican Party. It was, and remains, the only viable opposition, due to fact that the governmental structure of the United States can only function with just two major political parties.  Over the recent decades the Republican party establishment was more concerned about civility and status and were unwilling to fully warn the populace of the consequences of an all-powerful central government and the pitfalls inherent in the takeover of the education and entertainment establishment by the left.

The majority of elected and establishment Republicans were content to merely slow down the march to socialism, which eventuated in Barack Obama and his fellow travelers assuming the reins of power -- a man who will be remembered in the annals of American history as the most destabilizing and least patriotic president ever elected.

The unfathomable loss to Donald Trump in 2016 was the first major setback to the American left since the election of Ronald Reagan.  Their giddiness during the Obama years over implementing their plans for permanent hegemony in American politics was replaced with uncontrolled anger, pettiness and an insatiable determination to exact revenge on those who dared deny them their birthright.

The left would have reluctantly accepted a loss to a Mitt Romney clone, viewing it a setback, albeit a minor one, that would simply delay the inevitable.  But Donald Trump together with all the factions that voted for him, as well as the conservative media, represented an existential threat to their grandiose plans for themselves.  Their mortal enemies must not only be annihilated by any means possible but their ashes strewn across the desert regardless of the consequences to the nation as a whole.

Thus, the Russian collusion hoax, the unremitting vilification of Donald Trump and anyone connected to him, incessant and adolescent name calling, the Ukraine impeachment debacle, never-ending lies and wholesale fabrications in the media, the deliberate and ongoing attempt to prolong the unnecessary anxiety over the Wuhan Virus pandemic, and now utilizing their militant army of mind-numbed and oblivious automatons to promulgate violence and destruction throughout the nation.

The actual target of this treasonous and juvenile temper tantrum, aided and abetted by the credulous buffoons in the media, is not Donald Trump.  It is the citizenry and everything this nation stands for and has accomplished in 244 years, so that never again will the people insolently reject the Marxist/socialists as they did after Obama, when the left stood on the brink of permanent domination.

To that end, instead of nominating a stealth candidate, as in 2008, the nominee will be a ventriloquist’s dummy in Joe Biden who will do and say whatever he is told.  All the while they are counting on the voting public to blame Trump for the four years of carnage inflicted by the radical left.  Accordingly, the citizenry having learned their lesson about electing an irredeemable and loutish outsider will overwhelmingly vote for Biden and the Democrats.  Or so these narcissistic cretins have convinced themselves.

Pollak: Barack Obama Wrote the Playbook on Political Division

JOEL B. POLLAK

Left-wing pundits have accused President Donald Trump of using his tweets last weekend to launch a divisive re-election campaign.

David Axelrod, former adviser to President Barack Obama, tweeted: “With his deliberate, racist outburst, @realDonaldTrump wants to raise the profile of his targets, drive Dems to defend them and make them emblematic of the entire party. It’s a cold, hard strategy.”

That is debatable — but if so, Axelrod should know; Obama did it first.

By 2011, Obama knew that re-election would be difficult. The Tea Party had just led the Republicans to a historic victory in the 2010 midterm elections, winning the House and nearly taking the Senate. The economy was only growing sluggishly, and Obama’s stimulus had failed to keep unemployment below eight percent, as projected. Moreover, the passage of Obamacare had provoked a backlash against Obama’s state-centered model of American society.

Facing a similar situation in the mid-1990s, President Bill Clinton had “triangulated,” moving back toward the middle, frustrating the GOP by taking up their issues, such as welfare reform.

But Obama rejected that approach. Having watched his icon, Chicago mayor Harold Washington, settle for an incremental approach when faced with opposition in the 1980s, only to die of a sudden heart attack before fulfilling his potential, Obama chose the path of hard-left policy — and divide-and-rule politics.

The first hint of his strategy emerged during the debt ceiling negotiations in the summer of August 2011. As Bob Woodward recounted in his book about the crisis, The Price of Politics, then-Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) had wanted to reach a “grand bargain” with the president on long-term spending cuts. But Obama blew up that agreement by demanding $400 billion in new taxes, to his aides’ surprise. Obama wanted an opponent, not a deal. (Last week, Boehner told Breitbart News Tonight that Obama’s decision was his worst disappointment in 35 years of politics.)

In the fall of 2011, a new left-wing movement, Occupy Wall Street, was launched. A mix of communists, anarchists, and digital pranksters, the Occupy movement cast American society as a struggle between the “99 percent” and the “one percent.”

Obama and then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) embraced the movement — and failed to distance themselves from it even as it collapsed into violence, sexual assault, and confrontations with police.

Instead, Obama picked up on Occupy’s themes and used them to shape his campaign.

In December 2011, Obama gave a speech at Osawatomie, Kansas — a place steeped in radical symbolism — at which he doubled down on his left-wing policies. He focused on the issue of economic inequality, and attacked the idea that the free market could lift the middle class to prosperity. “This isn’t about class warfare. This is about the nation’s welfare,” he insisted.

Then, in the spring of 2012, Obama made a controversial play on race. When a black teen, Trayvon Martin, was killed in Florida during a scuffle with neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, Al Sharprton — who was serving as an informal adviser to Obama at the time — made the local crime story into a national racial controversy. Obama, following Sharpton’s lead, weighed in: “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” Obama said at the time.

Poll numbers suggest that race relations, which had been improving, dropped precipitously after that. But to Obama, it was worth it: the campaign needed to find a way to motivate minority voters. (Vice President Joe Biden did his part, telling black voters that GOP nominee Mitt Romney was “gonna put y’all in chains.”)

Trump is pushing a non-racial, nationalist message. But if he actually wanted to divide America for political gain, he could learn from the master.
