Border agents seize 44 Central American aliens from stash house in Texas

Border agents seize 44 Central American aliens from stash house in Texas: Federal law enforcement agents seized 44 illegal immigrants hiding out in a stash house in Donna, Texas, this week, Customs and Border Protection said Friday. Border Patrol agents from the Laredo Sector and Rio Grande Valley Sector received a tip that the house was being used to hold illegal aliens. After obtaining a search warrant, law enforcement and agents found dozens of people originally from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. The callous disregard for human life in which these persons were subjected to and the inhumane conditions that they were placed in demonstrates how heartless these smugglers can be, Laredo Sector Chief Patrol Agent Mario Martinez said in a statement. In this case, 44 illegal immigrants were spared from being held in a crammed stash house and a smuggler was apprehended, said Rio Grande Valley Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Raul Ortiz.

ICE continues to drop off illegal aliens at Texas bus stops

Illegal aliens captured at the border continue to be released at bus stops in Texas with orders to appear before an immigration judge at a future date.  The flood of illegals has reached levels not seen since the record year of 2014, with tens of thousands of women and unaccompanied children flowing across the border.
The government refuses to inform local authorities of this catch and release program.

Bus station employees are reporting that illegal immigrants continue pour into the Texas border town of Laredo. They have seen a holding center for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) carrying between 20 and 40 undocumented women during at least five bus trips.

The local NBC affiliate, 8KGNS-TV first heard that 400 migrants were headed to the border city but it has been difficult to get a concrete number of released individuals from the agency. Officials report that these women meet certain release eligibility requirements set by the federal government.
Local officials say that federal representatives did not notify anyone in the City of Laredo, and that a similar problem was created in 2014 when there was a surge of Central Americans in the Texas border town.
What is adding to the flood of migrants crossing the border from Central America is the fact that some countries are refusing to repatriate their own.
Breitbart Texas reported in late October that illegal immigrants, mostly from Central America, were flooding across the southern border in advance of the 2016 presidential election. The numbers reported by patrol agents were at, or above, historic 2014 levels. On October 18, Breitbart Texas reported that a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report showed that the number of illegal border crossing apprehensions of Family Unit Aliens (FMUA) from Central America and Mexico hit the highest level on record–an all-time high with 77,674 crossings in FY 2016. Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) apprehensions were at 59,692, second to the 2014 historic mark of 69,970.
This is a clear case of U.S. domestic politics driving the wave of illegals crossing the border:
“Cartel connected human smugglers are telling people they need to get across the border now,” U.S. Border Patrol Agent Chris Cabrera told Breitbart Texas in his capacity as president of National Border Patrol Council Local 3307 in October. “When our agents ask the illegal immigrants who have surrendered at the border, they tell us they have been told they have to be here by a certain deadline to qualify for amnesty from Hillary Clinton, or they must come now because Donald Trump will build a wall and they won’t be able to cross.”
The cartels aren't stupid.  They know just where our vulnerable points are along the border and take full advantage of that knowledge.
Trump can change this policy his first day in office.  It's a question of how the chief executive and the departments under his control choose to interpret immigration law.  The Obama administration chose an extraordinarily broad interpretation of the law while exercising maximum prosecutorial discretion, allowing hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens what amounts to a free ride by releasing them after giving them a date to appear before a judge.
The courts have ruled we can't detain families with children for very long, which hugely complicates enforcement.  President Obama continued to promise throughout his tenure that the flood of illegals from Central America would not be allowed to stay, that they would be sent home.  The reality is, with the courts preventing detention, Central American nations refusing to take their people back, and ICE policies allowing illegals to go free, border towns are at the government's mercy when it comes to dealing with the problem.

America, the Dumping Ground

By Mark Krikorian

The Corner at National Review Online, December 8, 2016

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/442912/dumping-other-countries-refugee-problems-america

Our refugee system contains a million kinds of stupid. Admitting Somalis who’d been settled for years in Pakistan – like the Ohio State jihadi and his family – is only one of them.

Another “refugee” absurdity was revealed recently – the Obama administration has agreed to admit illegal aliens intercepted at sea by Australia and held in camps outside that country, on two Pacific islands. The number of people said to be affected is reported to range from 1,600 to nearly 2,500; my colleague Nayla Rush has an overview here.

These are people Australia has decided do not warrant refugee status (or what our law would consider asylum). Therefore they have no right to move to Australia. But for a variety of reasons, Australia cannot, or does not want to, send them back, and the “refugees” won’t accept offers of resettlement in New Guinea or Cambodia because they’re holding out for a First World country. What’s more, their presence in those Australian-run camps on the islands of Nauru and Manus (the latter owned by Papua New Guinea) has become a political headache. Most are from Iran, with smaller numbers from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, and elsewhere.

I can see why Australia would want this deal; it costs Oz taxpayers $2 billion to run the two island detention facilities and closing them down would rid the government of the headache. But if Australia doesn’t consider them refugees, why should we take them? It appears we’re doing this as a favor to Australia; some speculate it’s a quid pro quo for Australia’s taking some U.S.-bound illegals in camps in Costa Rica, though how that’s comparable isn’t clear, and Australia has denied any such bargain.

The chairman of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, Bob Goodlatte and Chuck Grassley, also want to know why we’re doing this, and they wrote to the secretaries of State and Homeland Security asking for details on the secret agreement to bring the illegal aliens here. When Capitol Hill staffers asked the State Department how many such “refugees” would be resettled here under the secret deal, they were told the number was “classified.”

DHS officers have already been dispatched to the islands to start processing the illegals for placement in a town near you, and it’s not clear if the Obama administration will be able to rush them to the U.S. before President-elect Trump’s inauguration. If they don’t get them here in time, they might not be relocated here at all, given Trump’s pledge to suspend immigration from terrorist-ridden countries where adequate screening cannot be done – countries like Iran, Somalia, Afghanistan…

Whether or not the Australia scheme reaches fruition, it’s important to realize that it’s not unusual. For years now, the State Department has been using resettlement back in America-land as a way of making other countries’ diplomatic problems go away. They’ve done this with the Somali Bantu, Bhutanese in Nepal, Meskhetian Turks from Russia, Bangladeshi Rohingya from Burma, and others. What they have in common is that they are groups the State Department has decided to collectively move to the United States for foreign policy purposes. In other words, the refugee program is being used as a way of smoothing over diplomatic disputes in the interest of maintaining global stability, with the “irritant” populations being dumped in American communities for the hicks in flyoverland to cope with as best they can. This is yet another area of immigration policy that urgently needs change.

OBAMA CONTINUES HIS ASSAULT ON LEGALS - DHS: Obama created 750,000 'Dreamers,' bigger than Boston, DC populations

DHS: Obama created 750,000 'Dreamers,' bigger than Boston, DC populations: In his drive to let younger illegal immigrants live and work in the United States, President Obama created 750,000 so-called Dreamers, a population bigger than the cities of Boston, Las Vegas or even Washington, D.C., according to the latest Department of Homeland Security data. What's more, he has allowed nearly 600,000 to renew their rights under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program he created through executive action in 2012. In a new Pew Research Center analysis of the statistics, the future of those Dreamers is in question as Obama leaves office and turns the keys over to President-elect Trump who has promised strong actions against illegal immigrants, starting with those with criminal records.

Macy’s, Sears announce mass layoffs, hundreds of store closings across the US

By Niles Niemuth
6 January 2017
US department stores Macy’s and Sears announced thousands of layoffs and hundreds of store closures on Wednesday following dismal holiday sales and declining yearly revenues.
Macy’s said that it will eliminate more than 10,000 jobs and will move forward with the planned closure of 68 stores by the middle of this year. The closures are part of 100 announced in August, representing a loss of nearly 14 percent of the 730 stores operated by Macy’s in the US and its territories.
The company reported that it will seek to maintain profits by eliminating a number of management positions across the company, cutting 6,200 people from the workforce. On top of this, 3,900 Macy’s store employees will lose their jobs. though the company indicated that some could be reassigned to other stores.
Macy’s reported that its sales during the holiday months of November and December had fallen 2.1 percent from the previous year. Retailers rely on sales at the end of the year to pad out revenue and profits.
Sears Holdings also announced on Wednesday that it was planning to shutter 150 stores by April; 108 of its Kmart locations and 42 Sears stores. The closures represent 13.5 percent of the 801 Kmart locations remaining at the end of 2016 and 6 percent of the 676 remaining Sears locations.
Holiday sales at Kmart and Sears stores in November and December were down by between 12 and 13 percent from 2015.
On top of the layoffs and closings, Sears announced that it was raising funds to prop up its operations by selling its Craftsman tool brand to Stanley Black and Decker for $900 million. Even before the onset of the 2008 economic crisis Kmart and Sears had begun to hemorrhage thousands of jobs and close hundreds of locations.
Sears Holdings was created in 2005 after Kmart emerged from bankruptcy and merged with the floundering Sears, Roebuck & Co. for $11 billion. Despite the efforts to salvage both companies, Sears has seen its total sales cut in half since 2007.
Other major US retailers, including Kohls, L Brands and American Eagle, also announced declining holiday sales but have yet to announce any layoffs or store closures. Kohls closed 18 stores and laid off more than 1,500 employees in 2016.
The closings and layoffs are an indication of the actual state of the economy, more than seven years after the beginning of the supposed economic “recovery.” The large traditional retailers have also come under immense pressure the growth in sales through online retailers such as Amazon over the last decade.
BLOG: IN AMERICA, ONLY ILLEGALS GET THE JOBS!
As American workers have seen their wages either stagnate or decline, they have increasingly turned to online retailers that offer goods at lower prices than the department stores and also offer the convenience of home shipping.
Amazon dominated the online holiday sales in November and December, accounting for 38 percent of all transactions. Meanwhile, the company reported that it shipped a total of 1 billion items worldwide in 2016.
Amazon has been able to capture an increasing share of the retail market by exploiting its workforce through low wages, imposing high productivity demands and implementing robotic automation.
A worker classified as an order picker at one of its massive fulfillment center warehouses earns less than $12.00 an hour. Amazon warehouse employees walk between 7 and 15 miles every work day and must pass through an airport style security inspection when leaving to go home.
As part of efforts to shorten delivery times and keep up with growing demand, the company will open a number of new warehouses throughout the country. It was announced in December that Amazon would construct a 1 million square foot fulfillment center in Livonia, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, on the site of a former General Motors plant, reportedly providing 1,000 full-time positions.
It is impossible to review the economic conditions in all of hundreds of areas which will be impacted by the latest store closures, but a small sampling gives a sense of the social conditions that prevail across the US.
The original Kmart store opened in 1962 in Garden City, Michigan, just south of where Amazon will open its new Livonia warehouse, and is one of those slated to be closed by April. Approximately 11 percent of the city’s population lived in poverty in 2015.
Jasper, Alabama, a city of approximately 14,000, will also lose its Kmart. The city, located in the northwestern Appalachian region of the state, formerly one of the leading coal producers in the United States, has been hit hard by the collapse in the global demand for coal. North American Coal Corporation closed its Jasper operations in 2015, leading to the elimination of 118 jobs.
Rochester, New York will lose the Macy’s department store, which serves as an anchor for its Marketplace Mall. In 2013, a third of the city’s residents lived below the poverty line, more than half of children lived in poverty, and an astounding 16 percent of the population lived at less than half of the federal standard for poverty.
The latest round of retail store closings and layoffs are only an indication of what is to come in the next four years under the Trump administration, which is being staffed by billionaire oligarchs, Wall Street bankers and generals. As corporate taxes and regulations are cut, even more jobs will be sacrificed and wages will be slashed in order to further boost profits.

Amazon Increases Robotic Workforce by 50%

In the last year, Amazon has dramatically increased employment of robots, going from 30,000 robots in 2015 to 45,000 in 2016.

When Amazon acquired Kiva Systems for $775 million in 2012, they immediately began implementing the squat automatons into their network of massive warehouses. The 16 inch, 320 lb. machines can carry more than twice their own weight and have taken over a sizable chunk of transport and packing tasks.
For now, the increase in robotic employment at Amazon is only outpacing actual people by a narrow margin — 50%, as opposed to 46% more humans, according to The Seattle Times. Human awareness and dexterity still prevent us from becoming a redundant part of these processes… for now, as white collar insurance claims agents are being replaced with AI and the development of self-healing synthetic muscle that could make robots as graceful as any person.
Amazon is perhaps the biggest company leading the charge toward an automated workforce, in the process of hashing out ideas that range from drone delivery services to the flying motherships that could someday house them.
According to Amazon Chief Financial Officer Brian Olsavsky, “[Amazon has] changed, again, the automation, the size, the scale many times, and we continue to learn and grow there.” They’re already running an Amazon storefront without a single cashier, and their latest corporate campus in Seattle is being built inside of biospheres.
We’re constantly seeing news about Amazon’s relentless march into new territory, and the pace continues to increase. I’m not sure whether to buy stock, or build a fallout shelter. Just to be sure, maybe I’ll ask Watson.

AMERICAN BLACKS: THEIR VIOLENT NATIONWIDE MURDER AND MAYHEM CONTINUES

Ten Minnesota football players who were accused of gang rape of student and suspended will NOT face criminal charges due to 'lack of evidence'

  • Ten football players were suspended by the school in connection with an alleged sexual assault near campus in the early morning hours of September 2
  • In the alleged incident, one woman was said to have been the victim of a sexual assault by 10 to 20 members of the football team
  • Minnesota prosecutor said there wasn't enough evidence to pursue a criminal case, although he called the players' behavior 'deplorable'
  • The school conducted its own investigation and saw fit to indefinitely suspend 10 players involved, prompting the team to threaten a boycott of a bowl game
  • Report revealed that the woman recalled a group of members of the team 'lining up like they were waiting for a turn on her'
  • One team member also told investigators he heard the woman saying 'I don't want to' and 'this is too many people' and that she was in pain

The woman claimed she had been assaulted by 10 to 20 men on the team who 'lined up like they were waiting for a turn on her' after their season-opening victory against Oregon State on September 2.
But Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman has declined for the second time to charge any of the players, despite calling their behavior 'deplorable'.
Freeman previously decided not to prosecute the players in November, until the school's own investigation revealed troubling details about the alleged assault.
After reviewing that report, Freeman stood by his November decision, saying the school's investigation didn't add sufficient evidence to warrant criminal charges.

'That report shined a light on what can only be described as deplorable behavior,' Freeman said in a statement.
'Reviewing the full report and comparing it to the criminal investigation file shows no new significant evidence that would enable prosecutors to bring charges against any individuals that could be sustained under our much higher standard of proof beyond a reasonable doubt,' he added.
The university said in a statement that it respects Freeman's decision, but noted their own suspensions of the players stem from different standards and policies than the criminal process Freeman worked through.
UM indefinitely suspended the 10 players after completing its own investigation.
Kiante Hardin, Ray Buford, Dior Johnson and Tamarion Johnson were suspended in September.
Carlton Djam, Seth Green, Kobe McCrary, Antonio Shenault, Mark Williams and Antoine Winfield Jr were suspended in December after the school's Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action issued its report on the assault.
A redacted copy of the 82-page report was published by local TV station KSTP and revealed the woman's horrifying recollection of the night.
The victim, who reported the alleged attack the morning after it happened, told police she was at the game that night before attending multiple parties.
At the last party she attended, the woman recalled meeting two members of the team, one of whom was a recruit.
One of the men lived in the same complex the party was being held and invited her back to the apartment with the recruit.
The woman recalled feeling 'uncomfortable' after with the situation after she entered the apartment and went to the bathroom.
One of the men told her she was taking too long and when she came outside he stood between her and the apartment's front door in a manner that made her feel 'unable to leave', according to the Pioneer Press
The two men then began to take off their clothes and the woman felt 'overpowered', 'confused' and 'trapped'.
She told the school she felt she had no way out of the situation, which she said quickly escalated.
Prosecutor Mike Freeman declined to charge any of the players, despite calling their behavior 'deplorable' (pictured is the team celebrating after winning the Holiday Bowl Tuesday)

At one point the victim recalled seeing a 'line of people, like they were waiting for their turn' on her.
One of the players revealed he had received a FaceTime call from one of the men involved in the threesome who claimed the woman in his room was 'down with it', meaning she was 'willing to have sex with others', the report reads.
While most of the players involved claimed their sexual interactions with the woman had been consensual, one teammate told investigators that 'she didn't seem to like it'.
He recalled players gathering outside the bedroom door and that men were talking about who would go 'next'.
The player revealed someone said the group was 'training her', meaning multiple men were lining up to have sex with her.
He told investigators that at one point he peeked into the bedroom and heard the woman say 'I don't want to' and 'this is too many people' and that she was in pain.
The player said he had told the teammate who first initiated the threesome that things seemed to be getting out of hand, but they only replied: 'No man, she straight'.
But the player's recollection matches that of the woman, who said she remembered 'yelling for them to stop sending people in the room because she couldn't handle it', the report reads.
The victim also told investigators that sh wrapped herself in a blanket that was on the bed at one point to try and 'shield herself from people in the room'.
She also recalled two of the men 'trying to force their penises into her mouth' while another 'had vaginal sex with her', it continues.
The victim said she believed she was 'being held down' during some moments and that she remembered 'trying to push people off her by pushing on their stomachs and being unsuccessful'.
Their boycott, which the team announced two weeks ago (pictured), was supported by Head Coach Tracy Claeys

The woman told investigators she 'focused on the ceiling' to try and get through the ordeal, telling them she often felt 'confused' and 'dazed'.
An hour to an hour and a half passed by before the last man finished.
The victim said the man looked down at the ground, which was littered with condoms, and said 'Oh my god'.
She said the man asked her in the hallway of the apartment if she was okay and she replied, 'I don't know'.
He then asked her if she planned to tell anyone what happened.
The woman said she immediately began to cry when she left the apartment.
'She realized she had no idea what had happened to her, expect that men had had sex with her, she had been violated and she felt physical pain,' the report reads.
The report concluded that the victim’s account of that night was more credible than the players it interviewed, and said some players tried to impede the university’s investigation into the incident by deleting text messages and video footage.
Several players face permanent expulsion from the university, while others could be suspended for a year.
Two days after the suspension was announced, the football team revealed they planned to boycott all remaining events including the Holiday Bowl.
Their boycott, which lasted just two days after it faced immense backlash, was supported by Head Coach Tracy Claeys.
More than 3,000 people have signed a petition calling for Claeys, who has two years remaining on his contract, to be fired.
Athletic director Mark Coyle, who made the decision regarding the suspensions, has said he plans to meet with the football coach in the near future.

Violence in the Halls, Disorder in the Malls

The holiday hooliganism traces back to the Obama administration’s destructive efforts to undermine school discipline.
December 29, 2016
Public safety

Judging by video evidence, the participants in the violent mall brawls over the Christmas weekend were overwhelmingly black teens, though white teens were also involved. The media have assiduously ignored this fact, of course, as they have for previous violent flash mob episodes. That disproportion has significance for the next administration’s school-discipline policies, however. If Donald Trump wants to make schools safe again, he must rescind the Obama administration’s diktats regarding classroom discipline, which are based on a fantasy version of reality that is having serious real-world consequences.
The Obama Justice and Education Departments have strong-armed schools across the country to all but eliminate the suspension and expulsion of insubordinate students. The reason? Because black students are disciplined at higher rates than whites. According to Washington bureaucrats, such disproportionate suspensions can mean only one thing: teachers and administrators are racist. The Obama administration rejects the proposition that black students are more likely to assault teachers or fight with other students in class. The so-called “school to prison” pipeline is a function of bias, not of behavior, they say.
This week’s mall violence, which injured several police and security officers, is just the latest piece of evidence for how counterfactual that credo is.  A routine complaint in police-community meetings in minority areas is that large groups of teens are fighting on corners. Residents of the South Bronx’s 41st Precinct complained repeatedly to the precinct commander in a June 2015 meeting about such street disorder. “There’s too much fighting,” one woman said. “There was more than 100 kids the other day; they beat on a girl about 14 years old.” In April 2016, a 17-year-old girl in Coney Island, Brooklyn, Ta’Jae Warner, tried to protect her brother from a group of girls gathered outside her apartment building who were threatening to kill him; one of the group knocked her unconscious. She died four days later. At a meeting in the 23rd Precinct in East Harlem in 2015, residents asked why the police hadn’t stopped a recent stampede of youth down Third Avenue. In April 2012, a group of teens stomped a gang rival to death in a Bronx housing project.
The idea that such street behavior does not have a classroom counterpart is ludicrous. Black males between the ages of 14 and 17 commit homicide at ten times the rate of white and Hispanic males of the same age. The lack of socialization that produces such a vast disparity in murder rates, as well as less lethal street violence, inevitably will show up in classroom behavior. Teens who react to a perceived insult on social media by trying to shoot the offender are not likely to restrain themselves in the classroom if they feel “disrespected” by a teacher or fellow students. Interviews with teachers confirm the proposition that children from communities with high rates of family breakdown bring vast amounts of disruptive anger to school, especially girls.  It is no surprise that several of the Christmas riots began with fights between girls.  School officials in urban areas across the country set up security corridors manned by police officers at school dismissal times to avoid gang shootings. And yet, the Obama administration would have us believe that in the classroom, black students are no more likely to disrupt order than white students. Equally preposterous is the claim that teachers and administrators are bigots. There is no more liberal a profession than teaching; education schools are one long indoctrination in white-privilege theory. And yet when these social-justice warriors get in the classroom, according to the Obama civil rights lawyers, they start wielding invidious double standards in discipline.
The best solution to such alleged teacher racism, according to the Obama Justice and Education Departments, is to pressure teachers to keep unruly students in the classroom rather than removing them. This movement goes by the name of “restorative justice;” its result has been anarchy, adding a school-to-hospital pipeline to the school-to-prison pipeline. The St. Paul school district has been in the restorative-justice vanguard. Assaults on teachers tripled in 2015, reports Katherine Kersten of the Center for the American Experiment; one teacher sustained a traumatic brain injury, while another required staples in her head. Melees of 40 to 50 people (resembling the mall violence) are common, according to Kersten; roving packs of students attack isolated individuals. One high school issued emergency whistles to teachers. (Kersten has a full-length feature story on the St. Paul schools in City Journal’s upcoming issue.)
Over the last year, a Seattle school district in the throes of “restorative justice” experienced an alleged gang rape and several student deaths.  Criminal charges, including murder, were filed against a group of students not yet out of middle school, reports the Seattle Times. Teachers’ unions in Fresno, Des Moines, New York City, and Indianapolis have all lodged complaints about the anti-discipline philosophy, according to Education Week. The Fresno teachers signed a petition pointing out that students are returned to class after cursing at teachers and physically assaulting them, without suffering any consequences. Fresno’s teachers have been injured trying to stop fights; some are retiring because teaching where severely disruptive students cannot be dislodged has become impossible. In Des Moines, students now hit and scream at each other and their teachers, reports the Des Moines Register.
Undeterred by such news, the Obama administration has rolled out reams of material for combatting supposed teacher racism. Since 2014 alone, it has produced a School Climate and Discipline Guidance Package, a Rethink Discipline Public Awareness Campaign, a Resource Guide for Superintendent Action, a National Resource Center for School Justice Partnerships, a template for “School Climate Surveys,” and a “Quick Guide on Making School Climate Improvements.” The DOJ is “investing” $1 million (read: showering money on left-wing consultants) for the Pyramid Equity Project, which is supposed to establish national models for addressing issues of implicit bias in early learning programs.
Naturally, federal litigation has followed. Just this month, the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division imposed a consent decree on the Watson Chapel, Arkansas, School District, after suing it for racially discriminatory school-discipline practices. Those practices “prevent students of color from reaching their full potential,” according to Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Vanita Gupta. A federal court will continue to have jurisdiction over the school until the DOJ declares it in absolute compliance with the decree, a process anticipated to take three years.
Given this threat of lawsuits, it’s no wonder that district superintendents dismiss the rising violence and announce that restorative justice is “working.” It’s certainly “worked” to reduce expulsions and suspensions—in Seattle, by a whopping 77 percent from 2013 to 2016. Never mind that students aren’t learning and teachers are at risk.
The Trump administration must tear up every guidance and mandate in the Justice and Education Departments that penalize school districts for disproportionate rates of school discipline. Absent clear proof of teacher or administrator racism, Washington should let schools correct student behavioral problems as they see fit. Students in classrooms where disruption is common are far less likely to learn; that is the civil rights problem that should get activists’ attention. Taxpayer dollars should not be funding specious federal crusades against phantom discrimination; school districts might have more resources if their local taxpayers were not also being hit by federal levies, which are redistributed around the country in the delusional pursuit of “social justice.” Until the two-parent family is reconstructed, classrooms remain the only hope for socializing children and for preventing the teen violence that broke out across the country this Christmas. Schools can only accomplish that civilizing mission, however, if they are allowed to insist on strict rules, respect for authority, and consequences for misconduct.
