Nancy Pelosi and the Final Days of the Democrat Party

"The Wealth-X report shows that the world’s billionaire population has grown by 15 percent, to 2,754 people, since 2016, and that the wealth of these billionaires “surged by 24 percent to a record level of $9.2 trillion,” equivalent to 12 percent of the gross domestic product of the entire planet."

Uh Oh: Dems' Midterm Polling Edge Drops Below Five Points
My usual caveats still apply, and the political winds seem to shift awfully quickly these days, but there's clearly a reason why Democratic pollsters and politicians are starting to feel antsy about the midterm elections.  Even a few short months ago, a sizable blue wave looked virtually assured; the historical trends, Trump's toxic approval ratings, Democrats' double-digit Congressional ballot lead, and an array of special election outcomes all cut heavily against the GOP's fortunes.  Flash forward to this week, and the picture is looking murkier.  The in-party's historical midterm disadvantage still applies, and the off-year and special election results we've seen remain pretty ugly for Republicans.  But the president's numbers have rebounded into quasi-viable territory -- and this week, the GOP's standing on the generic 2018 ballot hit a new Trump-era high water mark.  According to the RCP average, Democrats' national lead has been whittled down to less than five percentage points:

I mentioned Sean Trende's intriguing shift in 2018 outlook earlier in the week, and he's not the only political pro who's noticing a meaningful shift in the national mood:

Meanwhile, this is a slightly different metric than the number CNN's polling recently produced, but it's similar in that it shows the national electorate's satisfaction with the direction of the country at its best level in over a decade:

And then there are stray data points like this:

My money is still on substantial Democratic gains this fall, but the party may be hampering its chances by nominating some far-left candidates (yikes) who offer fertile ground for GOP oppo research attacks.   Bear in mind that Republicans ended up nominating some "unelectable" candidates in 2010 who ended up winning anyway because of the intense anti-Democratic national environment, but if this cycle ends up being more of a coin flip, the Democrats may end up kicking themselves in a host of districts.  Going hard left is not the model Democrats successfully employed in PA-18 earlier this year.  I'll add that as the generic ballot climate improves, Republicans' chances to hold the Senate shoot up substantially.  The map is already brutal for Democrats, and stronger numbers for Trump and the party across the country writ large mean the GOP is in even stronger position in the red-tinted states where key Senate races are being decided.
On that front, a new poll shows Indiana's Joe Donnelley already in the danger zone(down by a point, job approval hovering around 40 percent) against the newly-minted Republican Senate nominee, while West Virginia's Joe Manchin (who struggled withmy questions about Hillary Clinton recently and can't decide whether he wants Trump to visit his state) seems to recognize that he's in for a very difficult fight.  And here are some of the latest ads out of Florida's contested Senate race, which is looking like a real battle so far:

I'll leave you with this:

Mexico says we will simply tunnel under it and our LA RAZA DEMOCRAT PARTY will buy the shovels for us to do it!

Bristol County, Massachusetts, Sheriff Thomas Hodgson state in an open letter, issued on March 21, makes clear that the responsibility for the continued carnage of innocent Americans caused by those who shouldn’t be present in the country in the first place lies firmly in the lap of Congress.  “Because Congress has failed to enact the necessary reforms, our citizens and legal residents face even greater dangers, our national security is more vulnerable, and our enforcement efforts have been seriously compromised”

Rep Speier: Dems Willing to Trade DACA for Trump Wall — We Can Tear It Down in a ‘Couple of Years’

Thursday on CNN’s “Wolf,” Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) said Democrats would trade funding for President Donald Trump’s wall on the U.S.-Mexico border for passing a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) bill because the “useless wall” can be torn down.
Partial transcript as follows:
BLITZER: Let me get to another issue, a sensitive issue, that you guys in the House of Representatives are dealing with right now involving the DREAMers, the young people brought here to the United States by their parents, undocumented immigrants. Two more Republican members of the House, they’ve now signed on to a petition to try to bring several of these so-called DACA bills to the House floor for formal votes against the express wishes of the House Speaker Paul Ryan. That would make about 20 Republicans right now total. If five more sign on, along with all of the Democrats in the House, it will actually force the speaker’s hand. Will you get those five more Republicans and force a vote on this sensitive issue?
SPEIER: I think it really depends on the polling that they’re seeing in their districts. I really do think it’s self-preservation at this point from any of the Republicans, and that’s why you see them willing to join on. It’s a fairness issue as well. These DACA kids, everyone agrees, a vast majority of Americans agree that they have a right to stay in this country and enjoy a pathway to citizenship as long as they haven’t committed any crimes and were brought here before the age of 16. So it’s something the president himself has said he was supportive of. So it’s time for us to act. That’s the biggest problem in Congress right now, is the inability to act on very important issues.
BLITZER: The president said he would support allowing those DREAMers to stay in the United States and eventually even have a pathway to citizenship, but only if you and the House and the Senate approve billions of dollars to build a new wall along the U.S.-Mexico border and took other steps curtailing immigration into the United States. You’re not ready to do that, right?
SPEIER: No. But I have said publically before that if what we’re doing is build a useless wall for a couple of years that we can then tear down, I’m willing to pay that price to make sure these DACA kids can stay in the country. I’m not willing to put new immigration restrictions that will split up families and the like. But if it’s just the wall, I would certainly entertain that.
BLITZER: Yes, I’ve heard that from several of your other Democratic colleagues as well.

Sen. Cassidy's Doable Idea for Paying for the Wall

By John Dempsey, May 17, 2018

Sen. Cassidy suggested that money seized from drug cartels should be used to fund the wall. It is a simple idea that could work.

Asset seizures have been a method law enforcement has used for a while. If an item is determined to be used in criminal enterprise whether that is a stash house, money, vehicles, firearms, home security systems, televisions, or anything else, officers will seize the items. After the case is decided, the pieces are sold at auction, and the agency keeps the money.

Law enforcement agencies will also use seized drug money for buying new equipment or assets for their departments. They will purchase new vehicles, bullet-resistant vests, firearms, and other unique items that are needed.

Trump would be a fool if he didn’t push this idea. He needs to quickly get behind this and make it a piece of the midterm election strategy when he campaigns. Immigration is the number one issue right now. Trump-aligned candidates should promptly make the Cassidy idea a crucial part of their campaign.

Adios, Sanctuary La Raza Welfare State of California

A fifth-generation Californian laments his state’s ongoing economic collapse.

American Spectator, October 19, 2017

What’s clear is that the producers are leaving the state and the takers are coming in. Many of the takers are illegal aliens, now estimated to number over 2.6 million.
The Federation for American Immigration Reform estimates that California spends $22 billion on government services for illegal aliens, including welfare, education, Medicaid, and criminal justice system costs.

Charlie Daniels: We Need a Wall – But That’s Just the Beginning

“I believe that if Hillary had been elected she would have found a way to give amnesty and eventually citizenship to all the millions of Hispanics who are now here illegally and would have, in theory, have opened the border so that more and more could cross and be eligible to vote, until an undefeatable voting block would have been created, putting a more and more progressive electorate into power.” CHARLIE DANIELS

NC Police Find $90 Million in Meth Hidden in Truck Driven by Alleged Illegal Alien

Officials in Linden, North Carolina, discovered 120 gallons of liquid methamphetamine hidden inside the fuel tank of a semi truck being driven by an alleged illegal alien, reports say.

Harnett County Sheriff’s officers pulled the truck over on May 19 and discovered the large amount of the liquefied drug. According to WRAL, the liquid was destined to be turned into 454 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and would have had a street value of $90.8 million.
The seizure was part of a wider investigation into the trafficking of meth in the area.
The truck was crewed by Raul Topete Arreola, 49, and Aquileo Perez Pineda, 48. Pineda was quickly put on an immigration hold while immigration officials looked into Arreola’s immigration status.
The pair were charged with three counts each of trafficking methamphetamine and placed under a three million dollar bond.

FBI ‘Most Wanted’ Cartel Leader Arrested in Mexican Border State

Carlos Arturo Quintana el 80

The National Security Commissioner for Mexico, Renato Sales, confirmed the capture of Carlos Arturo Quintana, “El 80,” the leader of “La Línea”–the armed wing of the Juárez Cartel (Nuevo Cartel de Juárez) and one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives.

The National Security Commissioner announced the apprehension occurred on the morning of May 18, by the Mexican Army in coordination with the National Security Commission and Federal Police in Namiquipa, Chihuahua.
Quintana, currently listed under the FBI’s Criminal Enterprise Investigations, is wanted for drug trafficking charges in New Mexico. La Línea is considered one of the most violent in Chihuahua.
According to law enforcement sources from the Security Cabinet, they confirmed to La Jornada  the participation of “an elite group” involved in the capture of Quintana.
Quintana was singled out by authorities for making threats against journalist Miroslava Breach Velducea, a correspondent for La Jornada in Chihuahua, murdered in March 2017.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), La Línea is currently involved in a bitter dispute for valuable territory in Chihuahua against the Sinaloa Cartel factions led by Rafael Caro-Quintero and Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada—both are wanted by the FBI.
Breitbart Texas reported extensively on the criminal activities of La Línea regarding the arrest of two former police officers from Ciudad Madera, Chihuahua, for weapons and drug violations. They later admitted to working for the faction. Breitbart Texas also reported on the arrest of the Deputy Police Director of Namiquipa for kidnapping—he was later found working for La Línea and is the cousin of Carlos Arturo Quintana, “El 80.”
Breitbart Texas reported on the ongoing cartel violence in Ciudad Juárez and the return of military assets to help quell the escalating bloodshed.

BEHEADINGS LONG U.S. OPEN BORDERS WITH NARCOMEX: The La Raza Heroin Cartels Take the Border and Leave Heads

“Heroin is not produced in the United States. Every gram of heroin present in the United States provides unequivocal evidence of a failure of border security because every gram of heroin was smuggled into the United States. Indeed, this is precisely a point that Attorney General Jeff Sessions made during his appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on October 18, 2017 when he again raised the need to secure the U.S./Mexican border to protect American lives.” Michael Cutler …

“The greatest criminal threat to the daily lives of American citizens are the Mexican drug cartels.”

“Mexican drug cartels are the “other” terrorist threat to America. Militant Islamists have the goal of destroying the United States. Mexican drug cartels are now accomplishing that mission – from within, every day, in virtually every community across this country.” JUDICIALWATCH
“Mexican authorities have arrested the former mayor of a rural community in the border state of Coahuila in connection with the kidnapping, murder and incineration of hundreds of victims through a network of ovens at the hands of the Los Zetas cartel. The arrest comes after Breitbart Texas exposed not only the horrors of the mass extermination, but also the cover-up and complicity of the Mexican government.”

Overall, in the 2017 Fiscal Year, officials revealed that a record-breaking 455,000 pounds plus of drugs had already been seized. In 2016, that number amounted to 443,000 pounds. The 2017 haul is worth an estimated $6.1 billion – BREITBART – JEFF SESSION’S DRUG BUST ON SAN DIEGO

Border Patrol agents found 38 illegal immigrants being warehoused in “deplorable conditions” in a small house in Laredo, Texas, an official stated.

Laredo Sector agents working with Webb County Sheriff’s Office deputies observed suspicious behavior in a home located on Laredo’s south side not far from the unprotected Rio Grande River border with Mexico. Agents and sheriff’s deputies entered the residence after obtaining permission and discovered 38 illegal immigrants packed into the small home, according to information obtained by Breitbart Texas from Border Patrol officials.

The neighborhood appears to be comprised of small homes and mobile homes.
“United States Border Patrol continues to work in coordination with our law enforcement partners at Webb County Sheriff’s Office and these collaborative efforts, as this enforcement action illustrates, continue to help disrupt illicit activity and deny criminal organizations the ability to operate,” Laredo Sector Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Gabriel Acosta stated. “We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to prosecute those responsible and prevent individuals from being subjected to deplorable conditions.”
Officials said the illegal immigrants pictured above came to the U.S. from El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico.
This part of Laredo is near the area where more than 230 Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested this fiscal year after they illegally crossed the border from Mexico. Officials arrested eight Bangladeshi nationals in Laredo earlier this week.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations agents worked with Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents earlier this month to disrupt another Laredo stash house, Breitbart Texas reported.  The agents found 36 illegal immigrants from Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador, and Honduras, officials stated.
The migrants are now subject to prosecution in criminal court for illegally entering the U.S. according to a “zero tolerance” policy put in place by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions this month.
The attorney general said his department will refer anyone who enters the United States illegally for prosecution, Breitbart News reported.
“And the Department of Justice will take up as many of those cases as humanly possible until we get to 100 percent,” Sessions said as part of a speech at a law enforcement conference in Arizona.

California’s La Raza Supremacist Attorney General Xavier Becerra mocks Trump’s wall in a state where half the murders are by fellow Mexicans and the La Raza Heroin cartels walk over and under the open border!

THEY INVADE OVER AND UNDER OUR BORDERS… and do so by invitation of the Democrat Party.

Lawmen are worried that the cartel tunnel builders on the Mexican border are now using their engineered concoctions to smuggle illegals, not merely drugs.

That's what the Daily Caller has found, describing the new anxiety as one was discovered over the weekend, catching about 30 illegals coming in from Mexico and China. MONICA SHOWALTER – AMERICAN
