WILL JOE MANCHIN DEPART FROM THE GLOBALIST DEMOCRAT PARTY FOR BANKSTER BAILOUTS AND BILLIONAIRES FOR OPEN BORDERS AND BRIBES SUCKING POLITICIANS???

Manchin Saves Country From Nightmare 'Build Back Better' Act

Petulant White House and progressives in Congress lash out in rage.

Democrat Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia declared emphatically that he cannot back President Joe Biden’s signature Build Back Better legislation in its present form. The White House and progressive Democrats are fuming. Instead, they should take Senator Manchin’s words to heart and rethink their priorities in this age of inflation, soaring national debt, an unrelenting pandemic, and grave national security threats.

“I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation,” said Manchin in an interview during the "Fox News Sunday”  December 19th broadcast. “I just can’t. I’ve tried everything humanly possible. I can’t get there.” When Manchin was asked directly by the show’s anchor Bret Baier whether that meant the moderate Democrat would vote “no” if the legislation were brought to a Senate vote, Manchin replied, “This is a no.”

Manchin cited several reasons for his opposition to the $2.2 trillion social welfare and green climate bill. He said that he is concerned about rising inflation that shows no sign of letting up soon, the exploding national debt, and the continuing problems caused by the spread of the coronavirus.

Manchin sharply criticized the budget gimmicks using so-called "sunset" clauses for certain programs that make the price tag appear much smaller than it will actually be.

“The thing that never changed, Bret,"Manchin said, "was basically the same amount of things that they're trying to accomplish by just changing, if you will, the amount of time that we can depend on it. So if you're going to do something and do it, pick what are prized priorities are like most people do and their families other businesses, and you fund them for ten years and you make sure they deliver the services for ten years.”

Shortly after his interview, Manchin warned that “my Democratic colleagues in Washington are determined to dramatically reshape our society in a way that leaves our country even more vulnerable to the threats we face. I cannot take that risk with a staggering debt of more than $29 trillion” and inflation that is harming many Americans “with no end in sight.”

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki did not waste any time in lashing out at Senator Manchin for supposedly going back on his word. Psaki characterized Manchin’s announcement of his decision to oppose the Build Back Better bill in its present form as “a breach of his commitments to the President and the Senator’s colleagues in the House and Senate.”

Evidently, Biden, his press secretary, and Manchin’s Democrat colleagues in Congress have not been listening hard enough to Manchin’s objections to their radical spendthrift bill. Manchin has raised red flags for weeks.

In early November, for example, Manchin criticized his Democrat colleagues for using "gimmicks" to obfuscate the true cost of the Build Back Better plan. Without the artificial “sunset” gimmicks, the real cost over a ten-year period would be close to $5 trillion, not the $1.75 trillion that the bill’s supporters claim it would cost. "I'm open to supporting a final bill that helps move our country forward, but I am equally open to voting against a bill that hurts our country," he said back then. "I for one won't support a multi-trillion dollar bill without greater clarity about why Congress chooses to ignore the serious effects of inflation and debt that have on our economy and existing government programs.”

Manchin could not be any clearer about his major concerns. Since November 1st, when Manchin issued this warning, nothing has been done to materially trim down the number and scope of the many bloated social welfare and green climate initiatives in the bill. Meanwhile, the inflation numbers are getting progressively worse. The Federal Reserve no longer calls the inflation problem “transitory” and has decided to prioritize tightening of the money supply to fight it. Reckless fiscal spending works at cross purposes with what the Federal Reserve is now belatedly trying to do to tame the inflation beast.

Nearly two months later, Manchin decided that he had waited long enough without any constructive results and finally pulled the plug on the Build Back Better monstrosity.

In Psaki’s December 10th statement falsely accusing Senator Manchin of  “a sudden and inexplicable reversal in his position,” Psaki repeated the White House lie that “the plan is fully paid for.” In fact, Psaki took her fabrications to a new level when she claimed that the Build Back Better plan “is the most fiscally responsible major bill that Congress has considered in years, and reduces the deficit in the long run.”

Not so. At minimum, the Congressional Budget Office found that the Build Back Better plan as it currently stands, with its “sunset” clauses, would add $367 billion in unfunded spending. If the programs were to be extended for a full ten years, a much more likely scenario if the Democrats maintain power and have their way, more than $3 trillion would be added to the deficit.

Psaki also claimed that the Build Back Better plan would have virtually no impact on inflation in the short run and would help ease inflationary pressures in the long run. She mentioned a report from the Penn Wharton Budget Institute supposedly supporting this claim, taking a jab at Manchin who has relied on the Penn Wharton Budget Institute in analyzing the Build Back Better plan.

Psaki provided no quotes from the Penn Wharton Budget Institute report she alluded to, nor did she provide any citation to the report itself. What Psaki left out of her statement is a December 14th tweet from Penn Wharton Budget Model concluding that the Build Back Better Act would have negative effects on both the GDP and government debt.

Progressive Democrats went after Senator Manchin with a vengeance. A leading progressive in the House of Representatives, Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington State, said that “Senator Manchin has betrayed his commitment not only to the President and Democrats in Congress but most importantly, to the American people. He routinely touts that he is a man of his word, but he can no longer say that. West Virginians, and the country, see clearly who he is.”

To the contrary, West Virginians and people across the country have seen a rarity in Washington D.C. – a senator with common sense who says what he means and means what he says.

Rep. Ilhan Omar complained that “[W]e all knew that Senator Manchin couldn’t be trusted.” She added crudely, “[T]he excuses that he just made, I think, are complete bulls–t.”

The radical Squad member even had the nerve to pretend to speak for the people of West Virginia. “It is really disheartening to hear him say that he has been trying to get there for the people of West Virginia because that’s a complete lie,” Omar said. “There are just so many things that the people of West Virginia desperately need. And we know that he is not working on behalf of their interests.”

Democrat-Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders from ultraliberal Vermont also presumed to speak for the people of West Virginia. Sanders listed all kinds of enticing government handouts included in the Build Back Better bill that he said the people of West Virginia would want and suggested a statewide poll.  "I told Manchin, by the way, I'll pay for the damn poll in West Virginia on those issues, see how the people of West Virginia feel," Sanders said.

If you ask someone whether he or she supports getting something for free or at a reduced subsidized price from the government, of course most people will say yes. However, when people realize all the true costs entailed with these giveaways that they will have to bear, including higher taxes and runaway inflation, many of these same people will have very serious second thoughts. Besides, the most important poll of West Virginian voters on whether they support the Biden agenda occurred during the last presidential election. Donald Trump beat Joe Biden 68.6% to 29.7%.

Senator Manchin obviously knows West Virginians far better than Biden or Bernie Sanders. Indeed, Biden is still disliked by many West Virginians. In a November 2021 MBE Research survey, 65% of West Virginia voters disapproved of the job Biden has been doing as President of the United States while only 32% approved. Manchin had an overall job approval rating of 60% in the survey compared to 37% disapproval.

As to the opinions of West Virginian voters regarding the Build Back Better plan, the MBE Research survey found that 74% of them agreed that “Senator Joe Manchin should oppose President Biden’s multi-trillion-dollar reconciliation spending bill in favor of legislation that would control spending more while 24% disagree with Senator Manchin’s opposition.”

Senator Manchin need not worry about a progressive-sponsored poll in his state. Manchin has his finger on the pulse of the people of West Virginia and, for that matter, the pulse of many Americans across the country.

In an interview with a local West Virginia radio station on Monday, Manchin hit back at White House staff, some of whom he blamed for the breakdown in his negotiations with the Biden administration.

"They figured surely to God we can move one person,” Manchin said. “We surely can badger and beat one person up. Surely we can get enough protesters to make that person uncomfortable enough that they'll just say, 'OK I'll vote for anything.'  Well, guess what? I'm from West Virginia. I'm not from where they're from and they can just beat the living crap out of people and think they'll be submissive, period."

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is still not listening to Manchin. Instead, he is following the lead of Sanders and other progressives demanding a Senate vote on the Build Back Better bill early next year.

“Senators should be aware that the Senate will, in fact, consider the Build Back Better Act, very early in the new year so that every Member of this body has the opportunity to make their position known on the Senate floor, not just on television,” Schumer wrote to Democrats on December 20th.  “We are going to vote on a revised version of the House-passed Build Back Better Act – and we will keep voting on it until we get something done,” Schumer added.

Instead of trying to work constructively to reach a consensus on a select few high priority items to include in a fiscally responsible bill without threatening to fuel inflation or bust the budget, Schumer appears to be heading down a dead end. It is long past time to bury this horrible piece of legislation for good.

Report: Joe Manchin May Become an Independent After White House Accuses Him of Disloyalty

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., a centrist Democrat vital to the fate of President Joe Biden's $3.5 government overhaul, updates reporters about his position on the bill, at the Capitol in Washington, Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) may reportedly become an independent after the Biden administration on Sunday accused the senator of disloyalty.

Following Manchin’s vocal opposition to Biden’s $1.9 trillion Build Back Better bill, the White House accused Manchin of breaching “his commitments to the President.”

The accusation may result in Manchin becoming an independent, though he would still caucus with Democrats, Axios reported.

Manchin is from West Virginia, a red state that Biden lost in 2020 by nearly 40 points.

“I’m from West Virginia,” he said Monday. “I’m not from where they’re [Democrats] from, and they can just beat the living crap out of people and think they’ll be submissive, period.”

For months Joe Biden tried to work out a deal with Manchin to enact the spending package in the 50/50 split Senate. Manchin maintained throughout the negotiations he opposed major provisions in the package.

In October, leaks indicated Manchin wanted to leave the Democrat party over fears his opposition to provisions in the radical package would embarrass the party.

But Manchin, who some say planted the leaks, immediately condemned the rumor. “I can’t control rumors, and it’s bullshit,” Manchin told reporters.

Over the weekend, Manchin announced on Fox News Sunday he would oppose the reconciliation package.

“This is a no on this legislation. I have tried everything I know to do. And the president has worked diligently,” Manchin said. “He’s been wonderful to work with.”

Manchin’s announcement drew immediate backlash from the White House, which accused the senator of disloyalty.

“If his comments on FOX and written statement indicate an end to that effort, they represent a sudden and inexplicable reversal in his position, and a breach of his commitments to the President and the Senator’s colleagues in the House and Senate,” the White House said.

This is not the first time that Hunter Biden’s ties to China have caused grief for his father’s political career. As Peter Schweizer, a senior contributor at Breitbart News, revealed in his bestselling book Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends, Hunter Biden signed the $1.5 billion deal creating BHR in 2013 only ten days after visiting China aboard Air Force Two with his father.

Peter Schweizer: Joe Manchin ‘Resisted’ Many Offers for ‘Cronyism,’ ‘Corruption,’ ‘Self-Enrichment’ to Be Bought or Rented

Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute (GAI), praised Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) as a “profile in courage” who rejected offers for self-enrichment while guest-hosting for Monday’s edition of Sean Hannity’s eponymous radio show alongside GAI colleague Eric Eggers.

Schweizer and Eggers reflected on their research of political corruption in Washington, DC, while examining Manchin’s recent refusal to join other Democrats in passing the $4.91 trillion spending proposal in the “Build Back Better” legislation pushed by the Biden administration and left-wing news media.

Manchin rebuffed attempts to be purchased or rented by political supporters of the Build Back Better bill, Schweizer stated.

“Eric, you and I, a lot of times, call people out — Republicans or Democrats — for cronyism, for corruption, for self-enrichment,” Schweizer remarked. “Joe Manchin resisted those temptations in voting ‘no,’ because believe me, he was offered a lot of things, and it’s a time-honored tradition in Washington, DC, to, basically, if you can’t buy a politician, to at least rent them.”

Schweizer, who has documented corrupt monetization of political influence in a series of books, including Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite, said Manchin must have rejected bids to procure his support for Build Back Better, including offers to financially benefit him and his family.

“There is a time-honored tradition of buying off politicians,” Schweizer concluded. “This is no doubt the sort of thing that was thrown at Joe Manchin, that was offered to him, that was offered to West Virginia, that was offered to his family.”

Eggers noted that the Biden administration previously nominated Gayle Manchin, Joe Manchin’s wife, to a government position relating to the distribution of taxpayer funding ostensibly designated for infrastructure. The position includes a $163,000 salary and authority over funding appropriated in the Build Back Better legislation. He explained:

In previous iterations of the Build Back Better bill, Gayle Manchin, who’s married to Joe Manchin, was nominated to serve as the co-chair of something called the Appalachian Regional Commission. It’s just this regional entity that distributes funds to help improve infrastructure networks. That job, which she was nominated to by the Biden administration, comes with a salary of $163,000 dollars.

In subsequent iterations of this [Build Back Better] legislation, that Appalachian regional commissioner — the ARC — would have received upwards of $300 million dollars, right?

So some people have pointed this out that, “Hey, Joe Biden appoints Joe Manchin’s wife, everybody knows Joe Manchin is going to be a key vote on this, appoints his wife to this commission and is poised to receive a big time payout from this bill.” This is just how Washington works, right?

Schweizer and Eggers are hosts of the Drill Down, a weekly podcast describing itself as committed to exposing “crony capitalism, misuse of taxpayer monies, and other government corruption or malfeasance.”

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and make a forecast. With Ukraine, China and Romania being brought up, it's likely these aren't the only countries we are going to be hearing Joe and Hunter Biden's name attached to. They had a heckuva Pop-and-Junior tag-team racket. MONICA SHOWALTER

Schweizer: ‘It’s Going to Be Business as Usual’ for Hunter’s Dealings

https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2021/01/20/schweizer-its-going-to-be-business-as-usual-for-hunters-dealings/

Joe Biden, the corrupt, unaccomplished 47-year career politician, with a reputation of having been a proud segregationist, an unabashed plagiarist and liar, a resolute tale-teller, and a serial flip-flopper, is pretending to head up a radical social-democratic ticket for President of the United States that includes as his running mate the ambitious, disagreeable junior senator from California: Kamala Harris.

Biden Whistleblower Emails: Chinese Energy Company Gave $5 Million Non-Secured, Forgivable Loan to Biden Family

I’d be inclined to disagree with Don except for one thing: Biden has proven to be a very adept criminal mastermind. For decades, he has funneled millions of dollars to his children and siblings and, especially, to his debauched, deviant son, Hunter. ANDREA WIDBURG

There it is.  That's the issue.  To begin, you have the corrupt family Biden.  They've been scamming us and our system well for almost fifty years.  The man is supposedly worth over 250 million dollars.  How is this possible on his salary?  It's not.  So where did his wealth come from?  Not from being a brilliant businessman. DAVID PRENTICE

The book is a devastating chronicle of political corruption. From Ukraine to Mexico to China, Hunter Biden's private correspondence shows how he and his family leveraged his father's position to win high-paying, low-work gigs with shady foreign actors—and how Joe's official actions at times directly benefited his family's financial backers.

ALANA GOODMAN

The fact that Hunter's market value was derived from his father's position seemed to be a source of resentment for the younger Biden, even as he continued to cash in on the name. Hunter complained in texts to his daughter that he had financially supported the Biden clan for three decades and that "pop" takes a cut of "half [my] salary." Financia records and correspondence reported on by Devine indicate that money from Hunter's business accounts was used to cover Joe's AT&T bill and home maintenance expenses and that a portion of at least one major China deal was earmarked for the elder Biden. ALANA GOODMAN

Joe Biden didn’t do anything wrong? A time-honored method of taking bribes is having them paid to a family member, usually in exchange for nominal or nonexistent services. It is comical to watch “reporters” pretend not to understand this.

 MONICA SHOWALTER

There’s also the little problem of Hillary’s incredible corruption (making her and Biden birds of a feather). And of course, the fact that Hillary’s unsecure server damaged national security in a way that would have seen an ordinary, politically unconnected person spend the rest of her life in prison—which, not coincidentally, is where Papa Joe belongs for using his debauched son Hunter as the bagman for decades of anti-American corruption

                                                                       ANDREA WIDBURG

The Clinton and Biden families were allowed to use their powerful government positions to solicit massive kickbacks for themselves and their families from foreign sources, and they were and are above the law.

Democrats not only didn’t care about the kickbacks, they impeached Trump for wanting an investigation into the Biden corruption.

While members of the Obama/Biden crime syndicate could violate as many laws as they liked, they were also targeting innocent people like Gen. Michael Flynn and energy expert Carter Page for destruction.

It is no wonder there is so much corruption and criminal activity among politicians and bureaucrats thrives throughout the United States when the press is coopted, asleep, or just don’t care. They frequently bury the stories and actively campaign for the corrupt criminals. It is sad that they support putting corrupt criminals in the White House. They support anyone who seeks to make the government run by leftists more powerful.

Meanwhile, they will seek to destroy anyone who wants to give the power, purse, and freedom back to the people as fast as possible. They don’t care about how many fake stories, such as  Russian collusion, they have to peddle in their efforts to defeat political opponents. Evidence and the truth are not important. Anonymous sources are treated as evidence. Only victory for leftists matters and that truly makes the media an existential threat to our survival as a great country.

Judicial Watch’s records request is designed to expose how California state legislators are wasting tax dollars to take care of another corrupt politician – Eric Holder – under the guise of resisting the rule of law on immigration and other matters,” stated Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton.  “His record at the Clinton and Obama Justice Departments demonstrates a willingness to bend the law in order to protect his political patrons.

Less than one year since he assumed office, Joe Biden has managed to turn his presidency into a deeply unpopular monarchy.  No longer is he the genial but generally harmless buffoon who entertained most of us while he was in Congress with his mispronunciations, misquotes, and embellished tales of dubious authenticity.  As a result of the 2020 presidential election that was, at best, questionable, Biden was elevated well past his ability, and he proceeded to wreck virtually everything he touched as leader of the free world.

I’d be inclined to disagree with Don except for one thing: Biden has proven to be a very adept criminal mastermind. For decades, he has funneled millions of dollars to his children and siblings and, especially, to his debauched, deviant son, Hunter.

“Protect and enrich.” This is a perfect encapsulation of the Clinton Foundation and the Obama book and television deals. Then there is the Biden family corruption, followed closely behind by similar abuses of power and office by the Warren and Sanders families, as Peter Schweizer described in his recent book “Profiles in Corruption.” These names just scratch the surface of government corruption.

Joe Biden: demented idiot or crazy like a fox?

The accepted wisdom amongst conservatives is that Joe Biden is a demented buffoon who is under the control of a leftist cabal in the White House, the individual members of which are unknown. However, Don Surber, who is one of the conservative blogosphere’s most astute political writers, has a different theory. He thinks that Biden is a savvy political operative as evidenced by a successful political career that has spanned almost 50 years.

When most conservatives look at Biden’s malapropisms, Grandpa Simpson-esque stories that seamlessly intermingle lies and delusions, and disastrous policies, we assume that he’s a congenitally stupid man who, thanks to the Peter Principle, has risen to the top of the heap. (For those who weren’t around during the 1970s, Laurence J. Peter's principle is a management concept holding that people in a hierarchical organization rise until they’ve essentially reached peak incompetence.)

Don Surber, though, has a different theory:

Voters and pundits misread Biden. They thought they were getting a harmless and befuddled old man who would keep the seat warm while the two parties sorted things out Après Trump.

Basement Biden has played that role well. He hints at handlers running the show and the gullible fall for it. He is no moderate. He is no fool. He knows how to stage and frame his presidency.

Being seen as a puppet gives him a great advantage because he is never held accountable. Someone else is pulling the strings. In fact, being manipulated by unseen hands makes him the victim. Poor Joe.

In the same post, Don points out that Sen. Joe Manchin, having stomped on the Build Back Better bill, claims that, for several months, it was the White House—not Biden, but the White House—that led him on, causing him to believe that a real negotiation was taking place regarding his concerns about the federal debt.

Thus, when speaking on West Virginia’s Hoppy Kercheval’s show on Monday, Machine said, “This is not the president—this is staff. They drove some things, and they put some things out that were absolutely inexcusable.” In Manchin’s telling, Biden had nothing to do with the negotiation.

Image: Joe Biden—criminal mastermind? YouTube screen grab (edited in befunky).

Don Surber thanks that Manchin is misreading the situation:

Biden is the president, and he calls the shots. He -- not his staff -- gave Kamala the cold shoulder at Bob Dole's funeral. He -- not the generals -- surrendered Afghanistan. He -- not liberals in Congress -- demanded socialism and green energy nonsense stay in the BBB bill.

Biden is no centrist, but he plays one on TV.

Don notes that Blinken exemplifies the “amateurs” with whom Biden surrounds himself. “Do you think for a moment that Blinken calls the shots as secretary of state?”

I’d be inclined to disagree with Don except for one thing: Biden has proven to be a very adept criminal mastermind. For decades, he has funneled millions of dollars to his children and siblings and, especially, to his debauched, deviant son, Hunter.

Biden got away with it because he very cleverly left himself out of the direct line of the bribes from foreign governments. Moreover, he sold himself as “good ole’ Joe from Scranton,” even as the Big Guy was taking cuts from Hunter’s “salary” (i.e., the bribes Hunter worked for). I would assume he got the same cuts from his other family members.

Despite constantly boasting about his relative poverty compared to other congress members and his poor roots, Joe Biden has done very well for himself considering that he’s worked for the government for almost 50 years. He owns two very nice homes, the second of which is a beach house he purchased for $2.7 million dollars. He also managed to earn $17.3 million in just the four years between leaving the White House in 2017 and returning in 2021—although interestingly, he claimed to be worth only $8 million. I’m thinking Swiss or Caribbean bank accounts that he set up years or decades ago, although that’s pure surmise on my part without any facts interfering.

The other reason Don Surber’s theory appeals to me is that it reminds me of a classic Saturday Night Life sketch, back in the day when the show could be funny. The sketch posits that Reagan’s public persona, which the media perceived as bumbling and stupid, was in fact cover for his being a brilliant political mastermind covering up the entire Iran-Contra affair:

If SNL were still capable of actual comedy and political honesty, can’t you just see the same sketch made in 2021, except that, when the press is gone, the bumbling, confused Biden turns into a fiendish criminal mastermind, collecting bribes from the most corrupt regimes around the world?

BUT DIDN'T BIDEN PROMISE NEO-FASCIST ZUCKERBERG HE WOULD NEVER HAVE TO HIRE ANYONE NOT FROM INDIAN, NO ANTI-TRUST EVER, AND TAX PAYERS TO PAY FOR WIFI BORDER TO OPEN BORDER SO ZUCK COULD SPREAD HIS FACEBOOK PROPAGANDA MACHINE FOR OPEN BORDERS????

MARK ZUCKERBERG AT WORK:

Unlike Fredo, Hunter would be shielded from the consequences of his destructive acts. So would the Biden family. After the computer repairman turned over the abandoned hard drive to the FBI (and then to Rudy Giuliani, who passed it to the New York Post), the legacy press and social media companies mounted an all-out suppression campaign against the Post‘s reporting, ensuring that the story was snuffed out before the election.

From April 2020 to April 2021, more than 100,000 Americans died from drug overdoses, according to data from the National Center for Health Statistics. An overwhelming majority of those deaths came from opioids, and fentanyl smuggling has surged at the southern border since the start of Joe Biden's presidency.     Joseph Simonson and Collin Anderson

“Joe Biden is great on immigration. I guess depends on your perspective. If you’re a human trafficker, or drug dealer, you’d give him an A-plus, but theAmerican people would give him an F. The crisis at our border was not only entirely predictable, it was predicted. I predicted that if you campaign all year long on open borders, amnesty, and health care for illegals, you’re going to get more migrants at the border. That’s what’s happened since the election.” SEN. TOM COTTON

Many Democrats understand that the welfare checks for foreign children will encourage more illegal immigration, he said:

They know what’s going on. But they know that they can’t say what their true goal is, which is actual open borders with open, uncontrolled migration both ways. And this is a step toward getting rid of borders.

“It’s a globalist mindset and it welcomes anything that moves toward open borders,” he concluded. NEIL MUNRO

What’s really baffling is Hunter’s success with women. Despite being a total loser with a terrible drug habit and some weird sexual perversions, Hunter managed to seduce his brother’s widow, her sister, a stripper, and the woman he married, all over the course of four years. It’s enough to make one think that Hunter’s charm had less to do with the man himself and more with the benefits flowing from the Biden family cartel.   ANDREA WIDBERG

As a senator, Biden vigorously voted for several similar bills. In short, based on his voting record, Joe Biden is not (and never was) a champion of disadvantaged Americans, unless you consider multi-billion-dollar credit card corporations and millionaires “disadvantaged.” Chris Talgo

Nancy Pelosi, a horrid woman equally as without heart and soul, on Tuesday refused to have the names of the thirteen soldiers killed in Kabul read out on the floor of the House.  That should permanently indict her for being the wicked witch she is.  She is more devious, more calculating than the irresponsible Biden but every bit as beyond redemption as he is.  She will do anything to try to convince the American people, for whom she has only contempt, that whatever she and her party do is righteous no matter how loathsome and totalitarian. PATRICIA McCARTHY

Biden lied about his undergraduate degree and his majors, lied about his rank in law school, lied aboutscholarships and educational aid he had  received, lied about his stance toward the Vietnam  war while in college, lied about his plagiarism of  other politician's writings and speeches, lied about  the circumstances around his first wife's fatal  accident, lied about how he met his second and  current wife, and lied about the affair they were having when they were both married.         MARK CHRISTIAN

Most recently and dramatically, Biden lied about his knowledge of his son's shady dealings,  lied about his own involvement in corruption and ribery, and lied about his current presidential agenda and what he wants to implement in regards to energy, fracking, court-packing, health care, education, and COVID among other issues.

REVIEW: ‘Laptop from Hell: Hunter Biden, Big Tech, and the Dirty Secrets the President Tried to Hide’

In the spring of 2019, in between bouts of crack smoking and trysts with prostitutes, living out of hotels and stinking of smoke and booze, Hunter Biden made a strangely lucid decision. He got in a car, drove to a computer service shop, and dropped off his laptop for repair. The next day, he returned to give the clerk an external hard drive so that the contents could be extracted. Then he never came back.

Why Hunter decided to take his computer to a repairman (and ultimately abandon it) two weeks before his father's presidential announcement, rather than just buy a new one, could be an interesting puzzle for Freudian theorists. But out of that fateful decision comes Miranda Devine's fascinating book Laptop from Hell: Hunter Biden, Big Tech, and the Dirty Secrets the President Tried to Hide.

Devine's gripping account of the Biden family's sleazy

business dealings, gleaned from the contents of Hunter's

hard drive, picks up where the New York Post‘s stellar pre-

election reporting left off.

Many of the details have been reported before in bits and pieces. Devine weaves them together with new direct reporting on correspondence and documents pulled from the laptop and puts them in context with what was happening at the time with Joe Biden's vice presidency and presidential run.

The book is a devastating chronicle of

political corruption. From Ukraine to

Mexico to China, Hunter Biden's private

correspondence shows how he and his

family leveraged his father's position to win

high-paying, low-work gigs with shady

foreign actors—and how Joe's official

actions at times directly benefited his

family's financial backers.

At best, Joe Biden comes off as a hapless father who facilitates his son's clearly unethical moneymaking schemes. At worst, and as some of Hunter's texts and emails suggest, Joe was a knowing participant and beneficiary of the family business.

The fact that Hunter's market value was derived from his

father's position seemed to be a source of resentment for

the younger Biden, even as he continued to cash in on the

name. Hunter complained in texts to his daughter that he

had financially supported the Biden clan for three decades

and that "pop" takes a cut of "half [my] salary." Financia

records and correspondence reported on by Devine

indicate that money from Hunter's business accounts was

used to cover Joe's AT&T bill and home maintenance

expenses and that a portion of at least one major China

deal was earmarked for the elder Biden.

As the 2020 presidential election approached, Hunter's correspondence sounded more and more like the impotent protests of middle Corleone brother Fredo in The Godfather Part II: "I can handle things! I'm smart! Not like everybody says, like dumb. I'm smart and I want respect!"

He sent long, passive-aggressive missives to his father.

"Your vision of me being a hapless degenerate drunken crackhead is so unbelievably hurtful," Hunter lashed out at Joe in a series of texts in July 2019. "For twenty years [it] has felt like you just needed me to go to my bedroom and be quiet while the grownups talk."

"I love you all. But I don't receive any respect," Hunter complained in an email to his daughter.

The lack of consequences was interestingly predicted by Hunter's lawyer, George Mesires, in a 2018 text message found on the laptop. Mesires sought to reassure the younger Biden that news of his Chinese deals would be brushed away by most of the press.

"At the end of the day," Mesires told Hunter, "I think people will jadedly say ‘this is how the world works.'"

Eight Things to Know About the Biden Family’s Culture of Corruption

Stephen Maturen/Getty Images

HARIS ALIC

The family of former Vice President Joe Biden has earned millions of dollars since the start of his political career, often from dealings with heavy political overtones.

Biden, the frontrunner among 2020 Democrats, often touts his middle-class bonafides on the campaign trail. Although Biden did not become a multi-millionaire until he left the White House in 2017, the same cannot be said of his family. In fact, several members of the Biden clan became immensely wealthy over the span of the former vice president’s 40-year political career.

Breitbart News is providing an in-depth breakdown of a few instances in which Joe Biden’s political career and his family’s financial interests seemed to intersect.

1. Joe Biden’s younger brother, James Biden, secured generous bank loans.

In the wake of Joe Biden’s upset election to the U.S. Senate in 1972, his younger brother James was able to secure a series of generous bank loans to start a Delaware night club.

Although James Biden had no business experience and a net worth of less than $10,000 at the time, he was able to arrange more than $160,000 in start-up capital for the venture. When the nightclub proved to be unsuccessful, generating more than $500,000 of debt by 1975, James Biden and his business partners were thrown a life-line by a Pennsylvania bank that loaned him a further $300,000.

During the same time period James Biden was receiving the extensive lines of credit, Joe Biden was sitting on the Senate Banking Committee, which had purview over the financial sector. A specific jurisdiction of the committee was the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which provides bailouts to banks if they should become over-leveraged.

2. Joe Biden’s top campaign contributor hired his youngest son Hunter right out of law school.

Shortly after Joe Biden was reelected to the U.S. Senate in 1996, his largest campaign contributor, the credit card issuer MBNA Corp., hired his son for an undisclosed role. The job raised eyebrows from good government groups because MBNA employees had just donated $63,000 to Joe Biden’s reelection campaign in what appeared to be a coordinatedmanner to sidestep federal campaign finance regulations.

Clouding the picture even further was that, at the time, Hunter Biden was a 26-year-old recent graduate of Yale Law School with no prior banking or business experience. Both father and son defended the job offer, claiming nothing improper had or would result because of the arrangement.

“Unfortunately, no matter where I went to work, some people would make an issue of it,” the younger Biden told the Delaware News Journal in November 1996 when the job was announced.

Despite his role being unknown at the time of his hiring, when Hunter Biden left the company in 1998 to join the Clinton-era Commerce Department it was as a senior vice president.

Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Joe Biden was championing bankruptcy reform legislation endorsed by financial interests and credit card companies like MBNA.

3. An MBNA executive purchased Biden’s house for the full asking price in a deal that appeared facilitated by the company.

A senior MBNA executive purchased Biden’s 10,000 square foot colonial mansion in the Wilmington, Delaware, suburbs for the asking price of $1.2 million in February 1996. The sale garnered notice because larger and newer homes in the vicinity sold for less. The issue became a minor campaign problem for Biden’s reelection but was quickly dismissed when the senator provided local media appraisal forms showing his home was worth the value for what it was sold.

Byron York, however, investigated the matter in an exposé for the American Spectator and found that properties appraised around the same value in the vicinity had “sold for a good deal less” than at what they were valued on paper.

“In comparison, it appears [the MBNA executive] simply paid Biden’s full asking price,” York wrote. “And, according to people familiar with the situation, the house needed quite a bit of work; contractors and their trucks descended on the house for months after the purchase.”

As York also noted, it appeared that MBNA may have played a role in facilitating the purchase. Documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission show that “in 1996 MBNA reimbursed [the executive] $330,115 for expenses arising from the move.” Of that total, $210,000 “was to make up for a loss [the executive] suffered on the sale of his Maryland home.”

4. Hunter Biden remained on MBNA’s payroll while Joe Biden was writing bankruptcy reform legislation.

Throughout the early 2000s, Hunter Biden remained on MBNA’s payroll as a consultant while his father was writing and pushing the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005. The arrangement, which did not become public until after the law was passed, started in 2001 after Hunter Biden had left his position in the Commerce Dept. MBNA was paid monthly consulting fees, with some claiming they ranged upwards of $100,000, to advise the company on online banking issues.

The 2005 bankruptcy tightened regulations to make it extremely more difficult to declare bankruptcy. It was heavily favored by MBNA and other giants in the banking and finance sectors. Many consumer protection advocates, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), have claimed the bill benefited special interests at the expense of consumers. Some have even suggested the law only served to hasten and aggravate the recession of the late 2000s.

As previously reported by the New York Times, Biden worked against many of his own fellow Democrats in Congress to ensure the final version of the bill was free of provisions opposed by companies like MBNA.

Biden “was one of five Democrats in March 2005 who voted against a proposal to require credit card companies to provide more effective warnings to consumers about the consequences of paying only the minimum amount due each month,” the Times noted.

5. Joe Biden paid his family members with campaign cash.

During his failed 2008 presidential campaign, Joe Biden paid more than $2 million to his family members and their business. According to the Washington Times, the money went to a company that was a long-time employer of Biden’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens. Biden also directed funds to a law firm started by his old campaign treasurer, which at the time also employed his youngest son Hunter.

6. James and Hunter Biden sought to monetize off Joe Biden’s political standing.

In 2006, close to when Joe Biden assumed the chairmanship of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and launched his second presidential campaign, James and Hunter Biden purchased a hedge fund called Paradigm Global Advisors. Although neither man had a strong background in finance, James and Hunter Biden reportedly believed they could leverage Joe Biden’s political connections to their benefits.

“Don’t worry about investors,” James Biden purportedly told Paradigm’s senior leadership upon taking over the fund, as reported by Politico. “We’ve got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.”

Paradigm’s executives claim that James and Hunter Biden saw the hedge fund as a way to “take money from rich foreigners who could not legally give money” to Joe Biden’s campaign account.

“We’ve got investors lined up in a line of 747s filled with cash ready to invest in this company,” James Biden allegedly told Paradigm’s staff.

Hunter and James also tried to solicit labor unions to invest their pension funds in Paradigm by relying on Joe Biden’s long record of advocating in favor of collective bargaining.

The efforts proved to unsuccessful, though, with James and Hunter Biden choosing to strip and sell the company off by 2010 after a number of bad decisions, including partnering with a Ponzi scheme.

7. James Biden’s received a $1.5 billion contract to build houses in Iraq while Joe Biden was overseeing the region.

After his foray into the world of high finance ended disastrously, James Biden joinedHillstone International LLC as a vice president in 2010. The company, a subsidiary of Hill International, at the time, was pursuing technology and construction projects around the globe.

Although the company had been losing money for some time, James Biden’s arrival resulted in something of a reversal in fortune. Within six months of James Biden joining the firm, Hillstone was the recipient of $1.5 billion dollar contract to build 100,000 houses in war-torn Iraq. The deal, which was never finalized because outside funding failed to materialize, quickly caught attention as Joe Biden was overseeing the Obama administration’s policy in the region.

Both the Obama White House and Hillstone denied Joe Biden had anything to do with the deal, pointing to the fact the contract was awarded through a South Korean group working to build homes in Iraq. Despite the denials, Irvin Richter, the founder of Hill International, did admit James Biden may have had something to do with the deal.

“Listen, his name helps him get in the door, but it doesn’t help him get business,” Richter told Fox Business in 2012 when discussing James Biden. “People who have important names tend to get in the door easier but it doesn’t mean success. If he had the name Obama he would get in the door easier.”

Complicating matters was the fact James Biden was likely to get rich if the deal went through. Fox Business reported that a group of minority partners, which included James Biden, owned 49 percent of Hillstone. The other 51 percent was owned by the company’s parent group, Hill International. Given Hillstone’s profit breakdown structure, James Biden and the other minority partners would have been eligible to split more than $735 million after the deal was completed

8. Hunter Biden’s firm scored a $1.5 billion deal with the Bank of China only days after Joe Biden and his youngest son visited the country.

Peter Schweizer, a senior contributor at Breitbart News, revealed in his bestselling book Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends that Hunter Biden’s firm signed a multi-billion dollar with a subsidiary of the state-owned Bank of China only ten days after he visited the country with his father aboard Air Force Two.

In a SiriusXM Breitbart News Tonight radio interview from last year, Schweizer explained how the Biden-China deal unfolded:

“In December of 2013, Vice President Joe Biden flies to Asia for a trip, and the centerpiece for that trip is a visit to Beijing, China,” said Schweizer. “To put this into context, in 2013, the Chinese have just exerted air rights over the South Pacific, the South China Sea. They basically have said, ‘If you want to fly in this area, you have to get Chinese approval. We are claiming sovereignty over this territory.’ Highly controversial in Japan, in the Philippines, and in other countries. Joe Biden is supposed to be going there to confront the Chinese. Well, he gets widely criticized on that trip for going soft on China. So basically, no challenging them, and Japan and other countries are quite upset about this.”

This Is How the Left's Power Structure Collapses

By David Prentice

Weeks ago, Rush Limbaugh mentioned that the issues defining the election had not come forward yet.  He was correct.  Not entirely, because all the issues coming out right now have existed.  In plain sight.

They just weren't distilled yet.

It's now here, served up on a silver platter.  No, not Hunter Biden.  This Hunter Biden laptop story simply leads us to the issue.  The word.  One word that rules them all, and in the darkness binds them.

Corruption.

Enter Hunter's laptop.  We now know that this is a family steeped in crime and corruption.  Ole Corn Pop appears to be awash in money kicked back to him by his family members who have grifted off his reputation for years.  Hunter's laptop has betrayed all this and more.  Much like Al Capone's bookkeeper.  Who would have thought Capone would have been destroyed so completely by a set of crooked books?  Such delicious irony.  And who would have known that this would become the October surprise of all October surprises?

Corruption.  Full grown.  Oozing its way into America.  It's everywhere on the left.  The Biden family.  Clintons.  The Democratic Party.  The FBI.  The CIA.  The mainstream media.  The tech giants.  It's a full-out plague, aided and abetted by their demonic philosophy, all of them gone astray.

All of them corrupt.

The New York Post story has been there for about a week now.  The Democrat-media complex has ignored it entirely; the tech giants went into overdrive removing all evidence from their platforms.  Google.  Facebook.  Twitter.  Instagram.  The whole lot of them.  Covering up a story that deserved universal distribution and condemnation.  Instead, they covered up the most damning story to their side, their chosen side.  All of them colluded to bury this mounting evidence of wrongdoing.

How far the mighty have fallen.  And are falling.

What's the word for a media establishment that won't report this story?

What's the word for the FBI having this laptop for almost a year, watching dispassionately as the Democrats impeached Trump with hard evidence in their hands of his innocence and the Bidens' guilt?

What's the word for the above group of bad actors colluding to forward the Russia lies for almost three years?

What's the word for Director Wray's involvement?

What's the word for CIA director not releasing documents of the Russia hoax, documents that have been available for a long time?

What's the all-encompassing word that has been revealed at the heart of all these colluding to hide the truth from an America that deserves to know?

Corruption.

This is an issue that won't go away.  All the attempts to deep-six the truth here are failing, and miserably at that.  It's causing a slow-walk of information to drip out to the American public.  First the stories of Ukraine.  Drip-drip-drip.  Then the stories of drugs.  Then the sex problems.  Then the Chinese stories.  The story of kickbacks to Pop.

It's as if all the smartest people in the world colluded to destroy themselves.  By purposefully and unanimously excluding all information concerning this story from the American public.  The smartest people in the world actually believe they can be successful in spiking one of the biggest stories to pop up in any American election cycle.  Their hubris is so advanced, so viral, so awful, that they can't see what they've done to themselves.  They really believe they are going to keep a cork on this.

The derogatory phrase for the establishment has been "the swamp."  How bad is this, how deep is this, how criminal is this, how horrifying is it to find out the vast amount of corruption and collusion in so many of our institutions and corporations?

It's staggering.  It's infuriating.

These are the most powerful among us.  All rich.  All corrupt.  All once respected by Americans of all stripes.  And here, in one fell swoop, they reveal themselves to the average American.  As arrogant bullies, as deceitful liars, as evil as anything we've seen in our generation.  They have revealed themselves as the cabal of darkness.  Terrible motives, terrible actions, virtually unforgiveable in what they have done, and yet failed to finish.  And due to the hubris of the cabal, the exposé will be slow-walked until the election.

Today, Trump had an exchange with reporters, where he said, "Biden was a criminal."

This shocked the corrupt media.  Reverberations rocked the corrupto-sphere.  The lion had roared.  There is no way the corrupto-sphere keeps this lid on.  There is also no way all these corrupt actors go back on their solemn pledge to one another.  They are bound together.  They're stuck with each other.  And it will overwhelm them.

As this careens into the debate, as this careens into voting, as this careens into Election Day, the ultimate narrative will be set.  The doomsday clock will start.  All the corrupt actors will be pointed out.  All of them will rue the day they couldn't get rid of Donald Trump.  He, above most anyone, knows just how corrupt these people are.  He above anyone knows how to handle them.  He, above all, knows what's all coming out in the next weeks.

It's going to be an avalanche of material.  It's going to be a number of fires even Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, the DNC, the Bidens, the media, the corrupt government officials, the whole shooting match, will not be able to handle.  If they all overtly held emergency meetings with each other, they'd never stop the flood.  When Trump roared, you know he had one of his famous moments, that moment when he knows how and when to bring this to a head.  Trump the narrative-builder, Trump the destroyer will be unleashing hell on these people.

Anyone who has seen him operate knows.  This is his time.  This is how the beginning of the end of the swamp, or should I say the sewer, begins.  This is the kind of chaos these smartest people in the world, ever, haven't seen before.  Algorithms will not help them.  Censorship will not help them.  It will be a rushing mighty wind, coming to destroy all those who didn't understand that their corruption could be turned on them.

This is going to be epic.  Corruption will be their end; it's just a matter of time.  And Trump will have four years to finish their corruption.

So Hunter Biden followed his dad around to Romania, too?

By Monica Showalter

Hunter Biden was quite the devoted little sproutling, following his dad around wherever he went.

According to this NBC News report:

In the final year of the Obama administration, an American lawyer traveled to Romania to meet with a businessman accused of orchestrating a corrupt land deal.

The businessman was Gabriel “Puiu” Popoviciu, a wealthy Romanian real estate tycoon. The lawyer brought in to advise him was Hunter Biden, the son of then-Vice President Joe Biden, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Hunter Biden’s work for Popoviciu in 2016 went unreported at the time, but Joe Biden’s involvement in Romania was very much public. The vice president was among the leading voices pushing the government to crack down on corruption.

At Fox News, Sean Hannity called it a "pattern." Hunter Biden following his dad around -- to China, Ukraine, and now Romania -- and somehow always came away with big-dollar business deals. Kind of the way then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used Bill Clinton as her bagman to scarf up donations to the Clinton Foundation after Hillary made some foreign policy decision. That's certainly the way it happened with the 2011 passage of the U.S.-Colombia free trade pact, according to Peter Schweizer in his book, "Clinton Cash."

Hillary had her Bill. Joe had his Hunter. It's worth it to take this pattern where it goes, which is an emerging picture of modern bribery.

Imagine what it must have been like in the not-so-long-ago years when Joe Biden was vice president of the U.S. -- big, powerful, full of demands to advance the Obama political agenda.

You're a scruffy post-Soviet regime or third-world country.  You need some kind of help from nearby predators, you want to avoid sanctions, or your country's just generally a hellhole.

In comes Biden, who just happens to be the guy assigned as 'point man' to handle your case, with his cocaine-using son in tow.

In order to get what you want from Joe, you need to set up some kind of meeting with sonny boy - who's traveling with Joe, supposedly there to do "business deals." Sonny boy doesn't know anything about business, or the industries he could be dropped into, or for that matter, following the rules on cocaine use in the Navy. He's unemployable. But he's there with dad, waiting for his post-dad meetings, too.

And he walks off with big-dollar business deals, often from no-show jobs, nice big money streams, the flying dollar-bill wake of Joe Biden's tour. After about the first or second one, you'd start to notice a pattern.. Joe blows in, a payoff will be required.

The strange passage of Colombia's free trade pact in 2011, based on a sudden change in Democrat sentiment of being utterly against it to being at least grudingly for it, was also reportedly enacted through a payoff. The Clinton Foundation got a big $800,000 payment with Hillary Clinton as sitting Secretary of State and voila, Clinton was in favor of passage. In a way, the House Biden setup paralled the Clintons-Clinton Foundation setup. It's now worth it to check now if that, or any trade pact passed during the Obama years -- and there were several -- also could have involved Joe.

Because obviously, word would have gotten around. You're a scruffy third world country, your job is to watch the gringos closely, see how you can get them to help you, see what it takes. You'd watch one, two, many international transactions with comparable countries. You'd watch closely to see what it takes.

I know this, because I've spent a lot of time in such countries, speaking with their officials. "What do we have to do?" is the most commonly asked question I've heard the world over.

As John Hinderaker at Power Line notes - the answer was bribery, an updated modern-day version of bribery that can't be pinned as bribery by the long arm of the law the way walking into a smoke-filled room with a black bag full of cash can. He writes:

Joe Biden didn’t do anything wrong? A time-honored method of taking bribes is having them paid to a family member, usually in exchange for nominal or nonexistent services. It is comical to watch “reporters” pretend not to understand this.

They all know this, which is why this sort of thing happens. For Biden, the first shakedown of the scruffy foreigners is the hardest. But by the third or fourth, Biden doesn't have to say a thing. He just jets in with his son in tow and the everyone knows what to do.

This is how hideous the House Biden operation got to be. As Hannity noted, the cash that followed the visits was quite a pattern.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and make a forecast. With Ukraine, China and Romania being brought up, it's likely these aren't the only countries we are going to be hearing Joe and Hunter Biden's name attached to. They had a heckuva Pop-and-Junior tag-team racket.

Mo Brooks: Hunter Biden Trading off His Father’s Name, Marketing Access to the Biden Family Must Be Investigated by Congress

JEFF POOR

Earlier this week, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), a candidate for Alabama’s U.S. Senate seat up for grabs in 2022, called for a full select committee investigation into Hunter Biden’s art dealings.

However, during an appearance on Mobile, AL radio’s FM Talk 106.5, Brooks admitted it was unlikely such a congressional investigation could occur as long as the Democrats were in charge of both chambers of Congress.

Brooks pledged to call for an investigation into Hunter Biden should he be elected to the U.S. Senate next year.

“[H]unter Biden is selling that so-called art for tens of thousands of dollars,” Brooks said. “And keep in mind, he’s already been plagued with past ethical lapses where he traded off his father’s name when he was vice president of the United States, perhaps even when he was Senator in the United States Senate. And those kinds of ethical lapses where he puts his own personal pocketbook ahead of the United States of America — those things need to be examined. Now, unfortunately, we can’t do it right now because the House is controlled by Nancy Pelosi. She is not going to allow a committee to have an investigative hearing on that. Neither are they going to allow that in the Senate where Chuck Schumer is in control.”

“But I can promise you this: If we take control of the United States Senate, and I’m cautiously optimistic we’re going to, and I can get on the committee or perhaps chairman of the subcommittee that would handle this type of investigation, I’m going to call for an investigation of Hunter Biden, and there needs to be some light shed on the nepotism on the one hand, or the unethical conduct or the unjust enrichment on the other hand, where he seems to be marketing access to the Biden family via the sale of art that is not worth very much that he is getting paid tens of thousands of dollars for it,” he added.

Biden Whistleblower Emails: Chinese Energy Company Gave $5 Million Non-Secured, Forgivable Loan to Biden ‘Family’

THE BIDEN KLEPTOCRACY

American people deserve to know what China was up to with Joe Biden, especially when Beijing had already shelled out millions of dollars to Biden family members — including millions in set-asides for “the big guy.” What else is on that infamous Hunter Biden laptop? The conflicted Biden Justice Department cannot be trusted to engage in any meaningful oversight on this issue. We need a special counsel now.

                                     TOM FITTON - JUDICIAL WATCH

In his nearly 700-word statement, Bobulinski confirmed the authenticity of that email and further explained its meeting including that “the big guy” was a reference to former Vice President Joe Biden, the 2020 Democrat presidential nominee, himself.

Hunter Biden’s Firms Scored Reportedly Hundreds of Millions from Russians, Chinese, and Kazakhs

KRISTINA WONG

Hunter Biden, son of 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden, has come under scrutiny for his business links to Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma while his father was vice president.

Now, a new book by author Peter Schweizer reveals Hunter Biden forged other business deals with individuals and entities tied with the governments of Russia, China, and Kazakhstan, that reportedly scored him hundreds of millions of dollars.

The book, titled Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite., lays out how Hunter Biden and his business partners, in addition to his numerous Rosemont-branded entities and ventures, was deeply involved with an entity called the Burnham Financial Group.

Hunter and his business partner, Devon Archer, used Burnham to make foreign deals with governments and oligarchs, according to a copy of the book viewed by Breitbart News.

One of those oligarchs included Nurlan Abduov, the associate of another Kazakh oligarch, Kenges Rakishev. Rakishev is the son-in-law of the former vice prime minister of Kazakhstan, Imangali Tasmagambetov. Tasmagamvetov was also formerly the defense minister, and is now the Kazakh ambassador to Russia.

According to the book, an account Hunter regularly received funds from showed money arriving from a firm run by Rakishev in 2014:

A Morgan Stanley investment account from which Hunter regularly received funds shows money arriving from mysterious
sources around the world. There is a $142,300 deposit in April 2014 from Kazakh oligarch–controlled Novatus Holdings. Kenges
Rakishev, whose father-in-law is the former vice prime minister of Kazakhstan and a close ally of Kazakh dictator Nursultan
Nazarbayev, runs the offshore firm.

While Burnham received funds from Kazakh oligarchs, Archer acted as a backchannel between Kazakhstan to then-Secretary of State John Kerry, according to the book. (Kerry’s stepson Chris Heinz was a business partner with Biden and Archer in some of their ventures).

In a July 11, 2013, email, Kerry’s chief of staff David Wade wrote to Archer:

Devon: understand you spoke to the Secretary re having him call [Kazakh] Foreign Minister Idrisov today, can you let me know topics Idrisov wants to talk about/any requests he’ll have of the boss, so we can get paper prepared for a call. Hopefully, the situation on the home front will leave him time to do it.

Burnham also had business deals with two mysterious Chinese companies — Kirin Global Enterprses Limited and Harvest Global Investors, according to the book.

Kirin Global Enterprise Limited was an investment vehicle run by Xiangyao (or Yaojun) “Larry” Liu and Guo Jianfeng, according to Schweizer. “Very little is known about Kirin or its two principals, other than the fact that they invest heavily in mainland Chinese real estate,” he writes. Harvest Global Investors was a Chinese investment firm linked to the government in Beijing.

Burnham also had a financial relationship with Russian Oligarch Yelena Baturina, a billionaire with extensive political connections in Moscow and links to Russian organized crime, according to Schweizer. Archer said Baturina invested $200 million into “various investment funds” with which he was involved.

Burnham also got wrapped up in a $60 million fraudulent bond scheme to rip off union pension funds and the poorest Indian tribe in America, the Oglala Sioux, Schweizer writes.

In May 2016, Archer was arrested in New York and charged with “orchestrating a scheme to defraud investors and a Native American tribal entity of tens of millions of dollars.”

Some of the targeted were government employee or labor union organizations that had supported Joe Biden in the past. Biden has long described himself as a “union man.”

Although Hunter Biden was not charged, Schweizer writes, “his fingerprints were all over Burnham.” The legitimacy that his name and political status as the vice president’s son lent to Burnham was brought up repeatedly during the trial, he writes.

That status was used as a means of both recruiting pension money into the scheme and alleviating investors’ concerns, he writes. In an August 2014 email, Jason Galanis, who was convicted in the bond scheme, agreed that Burnham had “value beyond capital” because of their political connections.

Hunter Biden had an office at Burnham’s New York City offices on Fifty-Seventh Street, and during the trial, numerous witnesses came forward describing Hunter’s involvement with the firm, according to the book.

Schweizer writes these deals have long been a pattern with the Biden family, to include Hunter Biden:

With the election of his father as vice president, Hunter Biden launched businesses fused to his father’s power that led him to lucrative deals with a rogue’s gallery of governments and oligarchs around the world. Sometimes he would hitch a prominent ride with his father aboard Air Force Two to visit a country where he was courting business. Other times, the deals would be done more discreetly. Always they involved foreign entities that appeared to be seeking something from his father. Often, the countries in question, including Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan, had highly corrupt political cultures.

In short, Hunter Biden was not cutting

business deals in Japan or Great Britain,

where disclosure rules and corporate

governance might require greater scrutiny.

These were deals in the truly dark corners of

the world.

Senate Finance Committee Probes Biden-Linked, Chinese Military-Boosting Tech Sale

The Senate Finance Committee is probing the Obama administration’s 2015 decision to approve the sale of a U.S. company with insight into “military applications” to the Chinese government and an investment firm run by former Vice President Joe Biden’s youngest son, Hunter Biden.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the committee’s chairman, sent a letter to the Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin on Thursday requesting documents relating to the sale of Henniges, a Michigan-based automotive company, to Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) and Bohai Harvest RST (BHR). The latter was formed in 2013 by a merger between a subsidiary of the Bank of China and Rosemont Seneca, a firm started by Hunter Biden and Chris Heinz, the stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry.

Since AVIC was a subsidiary of the Chinese government and Henniges, the producer of “dual-use” anti-vibration technology with military application, the deal required approval from the Obama administration’s Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). The panel — made up of representatives from 16 different federal bodies, including the departments of State, Treasury, and Defense — is required to review any transaction that could lead to a foreign person gaining control of an American business.

In question is whether CIFUS was influenced by Obama administration officials, most notedly Joe Biden and John Kerry, who had an interest in seeing the deal move forward.

“The direct involvement of Mr. Hunter Biden and Mr. Heinz in the acquisition of Henniges by the Chinese government creates a potential conflict of interest,” Grassley wrote.

The senator noted in his letter that AVIC’s bid for Henniges should have immediately set off alarm bells in the Obama White House. In 2007, AVIC “reportedly involved in stealing sensitive data regarding the Joint Strike Fighter program,” which it later “reportedly incorporated … into China’s J-20 and J31 aircraft.”

Even more troubling, however, is that bid was facilitated at the same time China was staking out a more adversarial role in global affairs. At the time, Beijing was suspected of undermining U.S. cybersecurity by underwriting hackers stealing governmental data. There was also simmering tension over disputes in the South China Sea.

Despite the threat to national security, the $600 million deal was approved by CIFUS, with AVIC purchasing 51 percent of the company and BHR taking ownership of the other 49 percent. Upon purchase, an industry newsletter stated the deal was the “biggest Chinese investment into US automotive manufacturing assets to date.”

In his letter to Mnuchin, Grassley compared the deal to the Uranium One scandal, which arose when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton approved the sale of a Canadian mining company to Rosatom, the state-owned Russian nuclear energy conglomerate. It later emerged that both investors in the company and Russian energy officials had donated heavily to the Clinton Foundation.

“As with the Uranium One transaction, there is cause for concern that potential conflicts of interest could have influenced CFIUS’ approval of the Henniges transaction,” Grassley wrote. “Accordingly, Congress and the public must fully understand the decision-making process that led to the Henniges approval and the extent to which CFIUS fully considered the transaction’s national security risks.”
