Kamala Harris: Homeland Security Secretary Nielsen Should Resign

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), a leading contender for the Democratic Party nomination for president in 2020, said Monday that Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen should resign over the enforcement of immigration law at the border, which has resulted in some children being separated from their parents after crossing illegally.

In a statement, Harris said:
The government should be in the business of keeping families together, not tearing them apart. And the government should have a commitment to transparency and accountability. Under Secretary Nielsen’s tenure, the Department of Homeland Security has a track record of neither. As a result, she must resign.
During her time as the manager of the government’s third largest agency, the Department has implemented a policy that has separated thousands of children from their families, issued a directive to make it easier to detain pregnant women, tried to use DACA recipients as leverage to achieve the President’s anti-immigrant agenda, failed to address some of the agency’s most pressing management challenges and overseen the continued failed response to tragedy in Puerto Rico.
As a member of the Homeland Security Committee of the United States Senate for the last 18 months, which has oversight of the Department of Homeland Security, I have asked Secretary Nielsen and other DHS officials to clarify each of these policies, because the American people deserve to know the truth. I have, since March of 2017, repeatedly asked for complete data on the number of children separated and what training and protocol exists for carrying out such separations. In response, the leadership of this department has routinely failed to provide complete answers to questions from me and my colleagues.
The Department’s lack of transparency under Secretary Nielsen’s leadership combined with her record of misleading statements including yesterday’s denial that the Administration even had a policy of separating children at the border, are disqualifying. We must speak the truth. There is no law that says the Administration has to rip children from their families. This Administration can and must reverse course now and it can and must find new leadership for the Department of Homeland Security.
Nielsen — who, ironically, is often mocked as “Lady DACA” by conservatives for being too lenient on illegal aliens — was unapologetic Monday for her department’s enforcement of the law:

Congress please act so that we can secure our borders and uphold our humanitarian ideals. The two missions should not be pitted against each other. If we close the loopholes we can accomplish both.
We will not apologize for enforcing the laws passed by Congress. We are a nation of laws. We are asking Congress to change the laws.

Nielsen also declared over the weekend: “We do not have a policy of separating families at the border. Period.”

But “choice” polls reveal most voters’ often-ignored preference that CEOs should hire Americans at decent wages before hiring migrants. Those Americans include many blue-collar Blacks, Latinos, and people who hide their opinions from pollsters. Similarly, the 2018 polls show that GOP voters are far more concerned about migration — more properly, the economics of migration — than they are concerned about illegal migration and MS-13, taxes, or the return of Rep. Nancy Pelosi.

This point is underscored by data cited by the DOJ for Texas’s criminal justice system. According to the DHS and the Texas Department of Public Safety, over 251,000 criminal aliens have been booked into local Texas jails between June 1, 2011, and April 30, 2018. They have been charged for a total of 663,000 offenses including: (THIS IS TX ALONE, NOT THE WHOLE COUNTRY!)

  • 1,351 homicides;
  • 7,156 sexual assaults;
  • 9,938 weapons charges;
  • 79,049 assaults;
  • 18,685 burglaries;
  • 79,900 drug charges;
  • 815 kidnappings;
  • 44,882 thefts;
  • 4,292 robberies.

Immigration didn’t save these women. It killed them

Daniel Greenfield

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical left and Islamic terrorism.
Sanctuary state and city activists have been demanding that ICE agents should be barred from courthouses because fear of deportation deters illegal aliens from making court appearances. At the top of their list of sympathetic complainants are victims of domestic violence. A recent New York Times story even claimed that fewer immigrants are reporting domestic violence out of fear of deportation.
Why is domestic violence such a common theme in the media’s pro-illegal spin machine? It could just be another case of the pro-illegal lobby picking the most sympathetic groups, small children, abused women, to undermine immigration law and protect a Democrat voting bloc by any means necessary.
But there actually is an alien domestic violence problem. And it’s a serious one.
Illegal alien populations are largely drawn from countries with much higher rates of violence against women than the United States. El Salvador, in particular, has been described as ‘femicidal’. Some of that violence is perpetrated by the MS-13 gang which is notorious for its abuse of women. But not all of it.
What is even more disturbing is that immigrant violence against women actually rises after migration.
In a 2000 study published in the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy, 48% of immigrant women from Latin America claimed that they had suffered more domestic violence since moving to the United States. This troubling statistic suggests that the United States is no panacea against cultural domestic violence, but that the resulting dislocation may actually instead exacerbate the abuse.
Another survey of immigrant women from El Salvador, Mexico and several other countries found that 62% experienced physical or emotional abuse. 31% found that the abuse increased with immigration.
And 9% reported that the abuse began only when they came to this country.
Immigration didn’t fix their problem. Instead it created it or made it worse.
That 48% of women who suffered more domestic violence after moving to the United States is a statistic that should make any honest migration advocate question whether immigration is an unalloyed good.
In New York City, domestic violence rates for foreign-born women were much higher than for those born in this country. 51% of the women murdered in domestic violence crimes were foreign-born while only 49% had been born in this country. Immigration didn’t save these women. It killed them.
Statistics show that there is a link between domestic violence and immigration, especially the lack of legal status. Proponents of immigration treat it as an undiluted good. But it isn’t an undiluted good. Not for Americans or for the migrants and immigrants who come to this country. Everyone comes here searching for a better life, as the immigration cliché goes, but while for some the good life involves hard work while for others it means human trafficking, drug smuggling and international gangs like MS-13.
The refusal of immigration hardliners to look at the dark side of immigration leaves them unable to address the causes of the domestic violence statistics that they tout to undermine law enforcement.
Immigration transplants native dishes and customs that Americans enjoy, but it also brings along violence and abuse. The transfusion process can also create cultural problems that are worse than those of either country. MS-13 and second-generation Islamic terrorism in America and Europe are examples.
Migration from countries where violence against women is endemic packs that culture of abuse into a suitcase and takes it along. And its victims won’t only be the women emigrating from El Salvador. They may be the American women whom such men marry or they may be the random women and girls assaulted by illegal aliens. Immigrant domestic violence is also a serious threat to American women.
The pro-illegal lobby wants us to stop enforcing immigration laws and to only enforce domestic violence laws. But that’s like trying to drill a bigger hole in a boat while bailing out water with a bigger bucket.
Illegal alien domestic violence is not the problem; it’s only a symptom of the problem. Immigration doesn’t provide a safe harbor. In a significant number of cases, it seems to worsen the abuse.
The pro-illegal lobby has made domestic violence into a centerpiece of its advocacy. But asylum clearly doesn’t address the problem because the issue isn’t territorial, it’s cultural. Domestic violence crosses borders the same way that terrorism, gang violence, drug dealing and honor killings immigrate here.
And if we are going to provide asylum from cultural problems, there has to be a plan for keeping those problems on the other side of the border. Otherwise the very idea of asylum becomes a farce.
The first condition of asylum is that it be able to protect a refugee from the very thing he is fleeing.
Europe and America tried providing asylum to Syrian and Iraqi migrants. But the violence that they were supposedly fleeing didn’t stay in Syria and Iraq. It came along with them. Providing sanctuary for people fleeing gang violence is equally ineffective when their children set up their ownMS-13 franchises in Virginia middle schools. We can’t provide asylum from MS-13, if we can’t keep MS-13 out. And we can’t offer sanctuary from Islamic violence if the refugees bring it with them. That’s true of domestic violence.
Attorney General Sessions did the right thing by questioning asylum for domestic and gang violence. Aside from the other valid objections, these are extensible problems that asylum spreads around.
Immigration advocates have made asylum into a meaningless word that covers Hondurans living in the United States since a 1998 hurricane, Sunnis on the losing side of the Syrian civil war and gang members fleeing their own violence. But beyond showering them with freebies, they have no explanation of how this asylum will be sustained by seeing to it that they don’t reproduce the conditions that they fled.
And that includes domestic violence.
The left welcomes refugees, but can’t explain how they became refugees. It denies that they played a part in the conditions they’re fleeing. And so it’s incapable of explaining why the conditions recur.
It’s not the fault of President Trump, Attorney General Sessions, Secretary of Homeland Security Nielsen or any other administration officials that immigrants have higher domestic violence rates. It's their fault.
We can’t stop domestic violence in America by bringing more of it into this country.
The left must choose whether it really wants to stop domestic violence or change national demographics. Its advocacy for victims of domestic violence is as hypocritical as the rest of its feminism when its immigration policies continue to make this country less safe for women every single year.
If we’re going to protect domestic violence victims, let’s start by protecting American women

The Illegal-Alien Crime Wave

Heather Mac Donald

Some of the most violent criminals at large today are illegal aliens. Yet

in cities where the crime these aliens commit is highest, the police

cannot use the most obvious tool to apprehend them: their

immigration status. In Los Angeles, for example, dozens of members

of a ruthless Salvadoran prison gang have sneaked back into town

after having been deported for such crimes as murder, assault with a

deadly weapon, and drug trafficking. Police officers know who they

are and know that their mere presence in the country is a felony. Yet

should a cop arrest an illegal gangbanger for felonious reentry, it is he

who will be treated as a criminal, for violating the LAPD’s rule against

enforcing immigration law.

Illegal Alien from Mexico Charged with Killing 14-Year-Old Boy Riding His Bike

Wixom Police Dept

An illegal alien working in Wixom County, Michigan, as a waiter has been charged with killing a 14-year-old boy in a hit and run crash.

Miguel A. Ibarra Cerda, an illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested and charged by the Wixom Police Department with reckless driving that resulted in a death and leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly hit 14-year-old Justin Lee, according to Detroit News.
Police say Cerda—who only speaks Spanish—was driving a blue Honda Odyssey minivan when he hit Justin, who was riding his bike to a friend’s house. Cerda was driving on the wrong side of the road at the time and immediately drove off from the scene of the crash, according to police and eyewitnesses.
Justin was left in a ditch and later died in a nearby hospital.
According to police, Cerda was attempting to flee back to Mexico after being arrested, prompting District Judge Travis Reeds to set a bond of $350,000.
Now, Justin’s mother, Pattie Warner-Lee, remembers her son as a “very kind” boy who, as she described, would stick up for his classmates if they were being bullied.
Warner-Lee told Detroit News:
“We are so grateful to police for their quick work on this and making an arrest,” the victim’s mother, Pattie Warner-Lee, said outside the courtroom. “I had just made him something to eat after school and he was returning a friend’s bike to him when this happened a couple block from our house.
“I remember him kissing me on the head before leaving the house and telling me he loved me,” she said, her lips quivering. “He was a very kind person. The kind who is so funny he could pick you up when you were at your lowest.
“One younger boy came by the house crying after hearing of Justin’s death,” she said. “He told me how Justin had stood up for him when he was bullied on the school bus. He called my son his hero.”
Warner-Lee said her son also loved football and dreamed of attending the University of Michigan to play college ball. His teammates attended the vigil for Justin at Walled Lake Western High School where he was a freshman.
“His dreams were to go on to University of Michigan after high school to play football and study forensic science,” Warner-Lee told Detroit News. “I believe he would have done both.”
A GoFundMe account has been created for Justin’s family in his honor. Supporters can donate here.

Previously Deported Salvadoran Runs Over Ex-Girlfriend 3 Times, Say Officials

Police in Houston, Texas, released video that shows the lead-up to a man allegedly running over his ex-girlfriend three times, leaving her dead in the street. Officers say the man, a previously deported Salvadoran illegal immigrant, also ran over three men who were standing near her at the time.

Houston police officers responded to a call on Telephone Road in the southeast part of the city Sunday morning at 2:10 a.m. A man driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck reportedly ran over a woman who was his ex-girlfriend three times. He also allegedly struck three other men who were standing nearby, according to information provided to Breitbart Texas by HPD Media Relations. The video below shows the moments leading up to the alleged assaults and murder.
Police officers initially identified the driver as Rigoberto Alexander Escobar and said he is about 35-years-old. Investigators said they believe Escobar may have seen his ex-girlfriend, 36-year-old Dixie Rios, crossing the street toward JoJo’s Club. Witnesses said the driver ran over the woman and the men.
The driver then “goes into reverse and runs over them again,” a police department spokesman told KTRK ABC-13 Sunday morning. The driver then “drove off to the other side of the roadway and drives northbound. And then, for whatever reason, makes a U-turn and strikes our victim again as he is driving up the roadway.” Witnesses say the truck dragged the woman’s body down the road after the third impact. Officials pronounced her dead at the scene.
The other men were transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The driver fled the scene after the assaults, police told Breitbart Texas.
Police eventually found the man and placed him in the Harris County Jail on June 5, according to Harris County jail records obtained by Breitbart Texas.
DMV records obtained by Breitbart Texas show the truck is registered in both the suspected driver’s and his victim’s names.
Officials with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed to Breitbart Texas that the Salvadoran national now identified by ICE as Roberto Caballero Escobar is a previously deported illegal immigrant.
“On June 5, deportation officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an immigration detainer with the Harris County (Texas) Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) on Roberto Caballero Escobar, 35, from El Salvador,” ICE spokesman Tim Oberle said in response to a Breitbart Texas inquiry. “HCSO arrested Caballero on multiple criminal charges, including murder.”
“ICE previously removed Caballero on June 10, 2005, after he illegally entered the U.S. near Tucson, Arizona,” Oberle said. “He was removed to Guatemala as an expedited removal after he lied to immigration officials regarding his country of origin. He illegally reentered the U.S. after his removal, which is a felony.”
Court records obtained from Harris County District Clerk’s website show that Caballero — identified in Harris County records as Riboberto A. Caballero Escobar — remains in the Harris County Jail on five criminal charges. Those charges include murder, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (automobile), and driving while intoxicated.
In addition to the state charges, Caballero could also face a federal felony charge illegal re-entry after removal. If convicted, he could face an additional 20 years in prison.
Family members told the local ABC affiliate that the suspect was dating the woman for about five years. They said there was a history of domestic violence in the relationship. Dixie Rios leaves behind four children.

The cost of the Dream Act is far bigger than the Democrats or their media allies admit. Progressives Enraged by AG Sessions’ Reform of Asylum Law

Win McNamee/Getty Images

Pro-migration advocates turned their outrage meter up to max after Attorney General Jeff Sessions reversed rules allowing Central Americans to get asylum if they say they are threatened by domestic violence or by gang violence.

“America is better than this, but apparently Attorney General Jeff Sessions is not,” said a statement from Connecticut Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal. “Today’s decision will send untold numbers of refugees to their deaths. Attorney General Sessions: their blood is on your hands.”
“This could be a death sentence for many,” said Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Ed Markey.
“We should all be ashamed,” said Sen. California Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris.
Democrats’ angry response suggests that they are unwilling to accept the public’s 2016 demand for a compromise of their open-borders ideology, no matter the economic and civic damage being done to Americans and their communities. Without any compromise by progressives and their business allies, polls suggest that the public will to support their communities in the voting booth.
Sessions used his authority as Attorney General to reverse rules written by lawyers under President Barack Obama which effectively allowed a huge number of migrants to get into the United States and get work permits by insisting they had been beaten by their husbands or threatened by gang members. The “catch and release” loopholes were created by Obama’s staffers who declared that such victims were part of a “particular social group.”
The “social group” phrase is in the law which offers asylum to people who are persecuted for their “race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.” But the decision by Obama’s lawyers to invent the two new social groups — people who suffered domestic violence, and people who were threatened by gangs — created a rush for the border.
So many migrants and lawyers used this legal loopholes that the courts have now become backlogged, delaying asylum hearings for several years, and allowing at least 400,000 migrants to work in the United States. That huge population of workers holds down wages for millions of blue-collar Americans, including recent immigrants — although it does create an economic windfall for Democratic-aligned immigration lawyers and urban cheap-labor employers.
In fact, Obama’s migrant-friendly rules helped trigger the 2014 border rush which suddenly flipped public opinion against migrati0n and the migrants. That public reaction helped prepare the way for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016.
Sessions’ decision returns one section of asylum rules to the pre-Obama practices and helps implement one of the “four pillars” in President Donald Trump’s immigration reform. Sessions wrote:
I reiterate that an applicant for asylum on account of her membership in a purported particular social group must demonstrate: (1) membership in a particular group, which is composed of members who share a common immutable characteristic, is defined with particularity, and is socially distinct within the society in question; (2) that her membership in that group is a central reason for her persecution; and (3) that the alleged harm is inflicted by the government of her home country or by persons that the government is unwilling or unable to control[.]
Sessions is using his legal authority to take many other measures to curb migration across the southern border. These measures do not reverse the pro-migration laws set in place by Congress, but he is speeding up immigration courts, hiring more judges, prosecuting all illegal migrants — including those who bring children to exploit the 1997 Flores loophole — and is reversing several other pro-migration decisions.
Unsurprisingly, Sessions’ reset has enraged progressives in Congress.

Aminta had, in fact, called the police on her husband several times, but the officers told her they wouldn’t interfere in a marital relationship. So, she fled to the United States to save her life.

Pro-migration activists were also angry at Sessions’ reversal of their Obama-era gains.
The ACLU described Sessions’ legal directions as “a virtual death sentence.”
“People fleeing terrorist groups are being told to go to hell, and to die there,” said Frank Sharry, director of America’s Voice.

Sessions’ decision is a virtual death sentence for individuals fleeing domestic violence and pervasive gang violence.

It's not driven by legal merits but by the administration's determination to reduce immigration by any means, no matter the human consequences.

1/ The impact of Sessions’ unilateral decision regarding who is a refugee will be huge. Women fleeing violent abuse, young people fleeing murderous gangs and cartels, and people fleeing terrorist groups are being told to go to hell, and to die there.

Immigration lawyers were furious and upset for their clients as they recognized the importance of Sessions’ decision, both for their clients and their political goal of easy migration.

My office has a hearing Thursday for "Luisa," who endured years of physical violence from the father of her children. Her son still carries the scars. She's only just learned how to talk about it.

This case would have been a winner two hours ago.

We don't know what to tell her.
It took Jeff Sessions *40 pages* to tell people who have suffered as much as anyone you'll ever meet, in your name and with your tax dollars:

Go home and die.

Well same to you, buddy.

View image on Twitter

This is a sad day. The use of "particular social group" helped align asylum law with our collective moral conscious. Of course individuals subject to brutal domestic or gang violence without recourse in their home countries should be able to see asylum. This change will end that.

Sessions is using his control over the immigration courts to impose his radical, anti-immigrant ideology & agenda.

Today's decision, revoking protections for victims of domestic violence, will leave the Attorney General with blood on his hands.

Your periodic reminder of what can happen to children & their parents when a racist demagogue, supported by ruthless aides & spineless enablers, turns his hate into public policy.

A lot of scholars and expert practitioners a lot smarter than me are busy parsing the language of today’s decision, analyzing as though it’s a good-faith legal document. That strikes me as a little like parsing Plessy v Ferguson as though it wasn’t really about white supremacy.

If you’re a lawyer representing asylum seekers, you probably know a bunch of women and children who’d be dead today if what Jeff Sessions says about asylum law is correct. I know I do. Make no mistake: women and children are going to die because of what this white man did today.

AG Sessions shatters US asylum law.

Overrules decision allowing victims of extreme DV to win asylum; makes it easier to turn back children fleeing gangs at the border. And there's more.

Amnesty advocates use business-funded pollsters to conduct “Nation of Immigrants” push-polls which show apparent voter-support for DACA amnesty, for immigration, and immigrants. Those pollsters also push their clients’ preferences when they advise their political clients.
But “Choice” polls reveal most voters’ often-ignored strong preference that CEOs should hire Americans at decent wages before hiring migrants. Those pro-American preferences are held by many blue-collar Blacks, Latinos, and by people who hide their opinions from pollsters.
Similarly, the 2018 polls show that GOP voters are far more concerned about migration — more properly, the economics of migration — than they are concerned about illegal migration and MS-13, taxes, or the return of Rep. Nancy Pelosi.

Trump Can’t Disown His Immigration Policies Now
By David A. Graham

The Atlantic, June 5, 2018
One could make an argument for such a separation—for example, one could say that it serves as a deterrent, discouraging parents from bringing their children if they don’t want to be separated. The retiring head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, however, says deterrence is not the goal of the policy. Sessions has presented this as simply an unfortunate byproduct of enforcing the law. “If you don’t want your child separated, then don’t bring them across the border illegally,” he said.
Trump has not mounted any such defense, though. Instead, he has attacked the policy as the fault of his political opponents. He refers to “bad legislation passed by Democrats,” but although the Flores agreement came into effect in 1997, during the presidency of Democrat Bill Clinton, it’s not a law. Another law, the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act, was signed by President George W. Bush and exempts unaccompanied children from speedy deportation to their home country.

MEXIFORNIA under LA RAZA SUPREMACY RULE: CA has the largest and most expensive prison system in the nation. Half the inmates are Mexicans.  Half the murders in CA are by Mexican gangs.

In Mexico’s second largest city of Los Angeles, 93% of the murders are by Mexicans.

"The state of California and the sanctuary city laws that make it a safe-haven for criminal illegal aliens is likely responsible for at least 5,000 crimes that were committed by criminal illegal aliens released by local authorities rather than being handed over to federal immigration officials."

Ann Coulter: Jeff Sessions ‘Only One Doing Anything’ on Immigration in Trump’s Cabinet

Conservative author Ann Coulter (Associated Press)
Associated Press
    Washington, D.C.803

New York Times best-selling author and populist conservative columnist Ann Coulter says Attorney General Jeff Sessions is the only member of President Trump’s cabinet “doing anything” on stopping illegal immigration and trying to get a handle on mass legal immigration.
In an interview with talk radio host Mark Simone, Coulter slammed Trump’s attacks on Sessions, noting that when it comes to immigration, Sessions has accomplished more than any other cabinet member.
Coulter said:
[Sessions recusing himself] has nothing to do with Sessions and has everything to do with Trump. And this infantile, trolling your own attorney general… Sessions is the only one doing anything on Trump’s central campaign promise, which Trump seems to have forgotten, immigration. And now all he does to Sessions is … send him nasty tweets across social media? Fire him if you don’t want him. [Emphasis added]
While Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen has struggled to decrease illegal immigration surges at the southern border, Sessions has introduced major reforms to courts and judicial process to ensure that border crossers are more effectively prosecuted.
Sessions, as Breitbart News has chronicled, has worked to end the “Catch and Release” program — where border crossers are released into the interior of the U.S. — by instructing judges to quickly assess immigration cases. Sessions has also dramatically increased deportation orders against illegal aliens.
Months ago, Sessions ended a taxpayer funded federal program that gave legal advice to illegal aliens, as Breitbart News reported.

Tijuana 2018: Six Murders per Day

Charles Ommanney/Reportage by Getty Images

In less than six months, Tijuana registered over 1,000 homicides for the year as of Friday.
Forty-nine homicides were recorded in the first seven days of June, according to local media and Breitbart Texas’ local law enforcement sources.
The record-breaking numbers in Tijuana are attributed to ongoing turf wars involving Cártel Tijuana Nueva Generación (CTNG), which has aligned itself with El Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación against the Sinaloa Cartel. In some areas, rival factions within the Sinaloa Cartel are fighting for control of the lucrative street-level markets and valuable routes leading into the United States. Those involved in the killings are primarily low-level street dealers, lookouts, customers, and enforcers for these individual criminal gangs. Many of the street-level dealers are targets of rip-crews looking for cash and drugs.
The number of those murdered from January to June 2018 exceeded 2017 during the same period by over 200. In 2017, there were 771 murders from January to June. The total number of killings registered in 2017 was 1,780, which places this year’s pace to be the most violent in Tijuana’s history.
With at least five murdered on June 6, the most recent occurred in the Chamizal neighborhood at 1:35 pm when an unidentified adult male was shot dead while standing outside a grocery store. It was reported that a three-year-old child was struck in the lower extremities and was transported to a local hospital. Investigators later recovered shell casings of an undetermined caliber at the scene.

Breitbart Texas reported extensively on the ongoing cartel-related violence in Tijuana, recently about the arrest of five kidnappers and seizure of a cloned police vehicle. Baja California is also experiencing a spike in cartel killings.

"A group of cartel gunmen fighting for control of a Mexican coastal state cut out the heart of one of their living victims while another was beheaded. The violence took place not far from the beach resort cities of Acapulco and Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Guerrero."

Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute has testified before a Congressional committee that in 2004, 95% of all outstanding warrants for murder in Los Angeles were for illegal aliens; in 2000, 23% of all Los Angeles County jail inmates were illegal aliens and that in 1995, 60% of Los Angeles’s largest street gang, the 18th Street gang, were illegal aliens. Granted, those statistics are old, but if you talk to any California law enforcement officer, they will tell you it’s much worse today.

Mexicans cheat, distribute drugs, lie, forge

documents, steal and kill as if it’s a normal

way of life. For them, it is. Mexico’s civilization stands diametrically opposed to America’s culture.

The legal age of sexual consent in Mexico is 12 years old. Sex with children at this age and younger is socially acceptable in Mexico. For example: A Mexican Lopez-Mendez pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a 10 year old girl in West Virginia.

“The molestation was reported after the child was taken to a hospital for an outbreak of genital herpes early this month. When asked how she might have contracted the disease, the child claimed that Morales had molested her “a lot of times.”

Liberals upset that illegals barred from stealing library books

Illegal aliens have stolen millions of dollars worth of books from the San Jose, California library system, among many others. The liberal response? To be angry at the library for imposing fines and preventing the illegals from stealing even more books.

When Damaris Triana, then 8, lost several “Little Critter” books that she had borrowed for her sister, the library here fined her $101 — including $40 in processing fees — a bill that was eventually turned over to an agency to collect from her parents.

The $101 is a small part of a whopping $6.8 million in unpaid fines at the San Jose Public Library, an amount that exceeds unpaid fees at some larger cities around the country. It also exceeds other Bay Area cities like Oakland, which has $3 million in outstanding fines, and San Francisco, which has $4.6 million. In San Jose, when the late fee hits $50, the library refers the debt to a collection agency.

In impoverished neighborhoods, where few residents have broadband connections or computers, nearly a third of cardholders are barred from borrowing or using library computers. Half of the children and teenagers with library cards in the city owe fines.

This does not upset liberals, that half of all children have stolen books.

Outsiders might think that “everyone in Silicon Valley is affluent and hyperconnected,” said Mayor Samuel T. Liccardo. He represents San Jose’s one million residents, 40 percent of whom are immigrants.

"Immigrants", ah ha! Can you guess what kind?

In some immigrant neighborhoods, Ms. Bourne said, “there is a fear of government interaction. As soon as people hear there is the potential for being penalized by the government, they want to stay away from that service.”

A "fear of government interaction" in "immigrant" neighborhoods. Look how carefully the Times dances around the fact that the book stealers are largely illegal aliens!

“The kids who are barred from the door of the library are the ones we most desperately want to reach,” he said.

The kids are not barred from the library. They simply cannot check more books out because they haven't returned many others. Illegals feel that since they broke the laws entering our country, they are free to break any of our other laws as well without consequence. And liberals agree.

Alexander is more careful than most. Half of the current cardholders at the Biblioteca branch owe money, and most — 65 percent — are barred from borrowing materials and using computers because they owe $10 or more.

“Fifty cents a day for middle-class families is a slap on the wrist,” said Maria Arias Evans, the principal of Washington Elementary School in San Jose, which is behind the Biblioteca Latinoamericana. Given the choice between paying fines “and putting food on the table and a roof over the children’s head, it’s a no-brainer: It is better not to check out library books.”

I love it when liberals says something stupid, and call it a "no-brainer". I think enablers of illegal aliens stealing books have "no brainers".

She added, “Accumulating fines for families whose income is, on average, $30,000 a year with monthly rents at $1,600 for a one-bedroom apartment is much more of a burden.

Then why not return the books on time?

No where does the article talk about the penalty suffered by law abiding citizens who don't have access to all the thousands of books stolen. That doesn't factor into liberal calculations of what is right or wrong.
