THE OBAMA AMNESTY - Facts He Does NOT Want You to Know!

THE REAL LATINO AMERICA:
“Analysts said the operation appeared designed to allay skepticism among Mexico's political leaders about the U.S. government's commitment to Mexico's crackdown on cartels. The drug-related violence has taken about 15,000 lives since President Felipe Calderón entered office in 2006. Mexican authorities have arrested 80,000 drug suspects, and Washington has responded with $1.4 billion in aid under the Merida initiative, but some in Mexico have grown frustrated with the U.S. market's continuing demand for illegal drugs. “

AUSTRALIA SAYS IMMIGRANTS MUST ADAPT - HERE ILLEGAL SAY GRINGOS MUST ADAPT!

IT’S A BIT DIFFERENT HERE! THE AMERICAN PEOPLE PAY OUT MILLIONS JUST TO MAKE THIS ENGLISH SPEAKING NATION BILINGUAL.
A DYNAMIC OF MEXICAN RACISM AND CONTEMPT FOR THIS NATION IS THEIR REFUSAL TO SPEAK ENGLISH!
IN LOS ANGELES, AT THE SANTEE EDUCATION CENTER, WHICH IS OVERWHELMINGLY ILLEGALS OR THE CHILDREN OF ILLEGALS, THE CLASSES ARE TAUGHT IN SPANISH! BOOKS ARE IN SPANISH! HANDOUTS ARE IN SPANISH! KIDS SIT ON THEIR ASSES WHEN THE NATIONAL ANTHEM IS PLAYED, AND SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES END IN “VIVA MEXICO! VIVA MEXICO!”
AT A CAMPAIGN RALLY WHERE HISPANDERING GOV ARNO, ALSO AN ILLEGAL, TOLD THE LARGELY ILLEGAL AUDIENCE WHOSE VOTES HE WANTED, THAT THEY SHOULD MOVE THEIR FAT ASSES AWAY FROM MEXICAN T.V., AND LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH, THEY BOOED HIM OFF THE STAGE!
MEANWHILE ALSO IN LOS ANGELES 47% OF THOSE WITH A JOB ARE ILLEGALS WITH STOLEN SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS, AND THE COUNTY OF L.A. PAYS OUT $50 MILLION PER MONTH IN WELFARE TO ILLEGALS!
IRELAND HAS PUT A STOP TO ILLEGALS HOPING THEIR BORDERS FOR “FREE” BIRTHING, i.e., “ANCHOR BABIES”. NO OFFSPRING OF AN ILLEGAL IN IRELAND WILL BE GRANTED CITIZENSHIP!
IN LOS ANGELES 1 IN 5 BIRTHS ARE BY ILLEGALS THAT CAME OVER THE BORDER PREGNANT AND WILL COLLECT WELFARE FOR THAT CHILD FOR 18 YEARS.
IT’S 1 IN 10 BIRTHS IN THE REST OF THE COUNTRY!!!

AUSTRALIA
IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT!
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd - Australia
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks..

Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.

Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.'

'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, Learn the Language!'

'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'

'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'

'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.'

'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'
Maybe if we circulate this , American citizens will find the backbone to start speaking and voicing the same truths.

Anyone Not Working Hard For Even More Illegals? REP. LAMAR SMITH IS NOT!

MEXICANOCCUPATION.blogspot.com

ATTRITION WORKS!

REVERSING THE MEXICAN OCCUPATION, MEXICAN WELFARE STATE, AND THE MEXICAN ASSAULT TO OUR CULTURE… IT’S CALLED ATTRITION.

IT STARTS BY PUTTING EMPLOYERS OF ILLEGALS IN PRISON!

Put an employer in jail and watch the problem get cleaned up quick! 40 million illegals will have to head home, taking their contempt for our country, language, flag and their notions of entitlement back with them to their own country where it’s about time they started marching and ranting on their own government to give them the AMERICAN MIDDLE-CLASS DREAM FOR FREE! Here that campaign is called DRIVER’S LICENSES FOR ILLEGALS!

WHO SHOULD WE PUT IN JAIL FIRST?

HOW ABOUT LA RAZA ENDORSED DIANNE FEINSTEIN! SHE HAS LONG ILLEGALLY HIRED ILLEGALS AT HER S.F. HOTEL. THINK THAT’S WHY SHE WORKS TIRELESSLY FOR MORE ILLEGALS AND TO SABOTAGE E-VERIFY?

HOW ABOUT LA RAZA ENDORSED NANCY PELOSI! SHE HAS LONG ILLEGALLY HIRED ILLEGALS AT HER ST. HELENA, NAPA WINERY AND HIS HEAVILY IN VESTED IN SUNKIST WHICH HIRES ILLEGALS. THINK THAT’S WHY SHE WORKS TIRELESSLY FOR MORE ILLEGALS AND TO SABOTAGE E-VERIFY?

We’re not only fighting the corporate politician whores, our own corporate government, the government of Mexico which preaches endlessly that the United States !IS! Mexico’s welfare system, but we’re also fighting the ACLU, which is not inclined to fight for the rights of Americans murdered by illegals, hundreds every year in California alone. We’re at war with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the front for the business interests that doles out massive amounts of money to promote open borders and pay off politicians that service them, as well as defeat politicians that may think our borders are sovereign and this formerly great nation is !NOT! merely pillage grounds and a dump-off for Mexico’s poor, pregnant, illiterate, and criminal classes.

With ATTRITON, the illegals have six months to pack up and go home!

That would put a stop to Mexican flag waving, the joke of Mexican assimilation, the scream of “racist gringo” every time a Mexican is expected to obey our laws. It would put a stop to the billions and billions all this “cheap” labor costs this nation, nearly 40 million per month in welfare for illegals in sanctuary county of Los Angeles alone!

We must fight on the local level. Rid ourselves of the local LA RAZA WHORES, like Los Angeles’s racist Mexican mayor Villaraigosa whom declared the day the hundreds of Mexican marched on us waving their Mexican flags as the “happiest day of my life!” Villaraigosa’s city is labeled by the Christian Science Monitor as the “Mexican gang capital of America”.

Truly there will be a period of economic transition once the Mexicans are sent packing. They’ve been letting them in by the milions every year since the 1986 amnesty to stop the invasion. The rich will have to clean up for themselves or pay living wages to servants. Employers like Wal-Mart, 99 Cent Only Stores, Walgreens, Ralphs, Pavilions, Von’s, McDonalds, Burger King, Carl’s, will have to stop hiring illegals that can’t speak ten words of English, but interestingly have a pocket full of social security cards, and then pay AMERICANS A LIVING WAGE!

The construction trades, once a ticket for hard working American men to the American middle class, would be open again for American labor to feed American families that live in this country!

The massive crime wave that comes wherever the Mexicans occupy would end. Murder, gang violence, car theft, graffiti, stolen ID’s,..... all a thing of the past. Google Mexican gangs and Los Angeles! 500 murders a year that cost nearly a billion to prosecute in Villaraigosa’s barrio!

Can you even visualize what it would be like to go to a hospital emergency room with an emergency and not find hundreds of Mexicans waiting for their “free” medical help? So “free” that it has bankrupted hospitals all over the country!

The day the Mexicans are sent packing would be the day 12 Americans would not be murdered as they are everyday, by a Mexicans driving illegally, unlicensed, uninsured, unregistered and DRUNK!

Can you even visualize a day where you didn’t seem to hear anything but Spanish?

The war to protect America is not over there in Muslim land. It’s right here along our own borders with NARCO-MEX.

And to date we are losing it!

In Mexican occupied California, all politicians are bought by employers and special interests that benefit from depress wages by not hiring AMERICANS. These sellout politicians are FEINSTEIN, PELOSI, BOXER, WAXMAN, ESHOO, LOFGREN, BACA, FARR, BECERRA, HARMAN, SANCHEZ, and of course, THE GREAT HISPANDERER, BARACK OBAMA!

Comprehensive Amnesty Threat
Often referred to as Comprehensive Immigration Reform, pro-amnesty groups seek to offer legal permanent residence to illegal aliens. Comprehensive Immigration Reform bills were introduced in Congress in both 2006 and 2007.
In 2006, separate versions were passed in the Senate and House, but an agreement was never reached in conference committee. In 2007, a version in the Senate proposed by Senators John McCain and Ted Kennedy with support from Pres. Bush failed to reach a cloture vote. The grassroots effort from NumbersUSA members was a major reason why the amnesty failed.
Rep. Lamar Smith Makes the Case for Unemployed Americans in Nation's Largest Paper

Monday, June 29, 2009, 2:24 PM

Representative Lamar Smith (R-Texas) had an op-ed published in Monday's edition of USA Today speaking up for the more than 14 million unemployed United States citizens. The letter was published in response to the USA Today editorial "Recession freezes immigration debate but points to answers" also published in Monday's paper.
Rep. Lamar Smith is a ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee and has a career grade of an A+ with a record of consistently standing up for American workers and reduced immigration levels.
"Congressman Lamar Smith has been fighting for sensible immigration since 1989, and with this op-ed he illustrates why I think he may now be at his greatest energy ever in fighting for the average American worker and community," said NumbersUSA President Roy Beck.
In Rep. Smith's op-ed, he wrote...
Unemployment hit 15.5% last month for American workers without high school diplomas. It makes no sense to give amnesty or a "path to citizenship" to millions of illegal immigrants who would compete with unemployed Americans for scarce jobs and drive down their wages.
... To achieve immigration reform, the choices are not just amnesty or mass deportation. A strategy of "attrition through enforcement" would dramatically reduce the number of illegal immigrants over time.
... Amnesty would cost Americans their jobs, depress wages, burden taxpayers and encourage even more illegal immigration. On the other hand, enforcing immigration laws would increase respect for the rule of law and reduce illegal immigration.

1 in 9 AMERICANS ON FOOD STAMPS - GOOD TIME FOR AMNESTY?

SPREAD THE WORD!

REPORT ILLEGALS TO: 1-866-DHS-2-ICE.

WHAT IS THE LEGACY OF FEINSTEIN, BOXER, AND PELOSI? THEY’RE ALL THREE ON JUDICIAL WATCH’S TEN MOST CORRUPT. THEY’VE GOTTEN FILTHY RICH LYING TO US, SELLING US OUT TO THEIR CORPORATE PAYMASTERS AND ILLEGALS FOR THEIR ILLEGAL VOTES.

YOU THOUGHT, HOPED OR JUST WISHED THAT CALIFORNIA’S MELTDOWN WAS AN ACT OF NATURE, AND NOT ORCHESTRATED AT GREAT PROFIT BY THESE WHORES AND THEIR CORPORATE PAYMASTERS?

At this very minute, our CA LA RAZA DEMPSTERS, FEINSTEIN, BOXER, and PELOSI are still trying to convince us their healthcare package DOES NOT INCLUDE ILLEGALS. In fact that’s true! However, as usual these whores lie through their teeth to us so often on behalf of their self-enrichment, corporate paymasters and LA RAZA, that they probably believe this to be the case. IN FACT, THE DEMPSTERS HAVE ADDED TO THE OBAMA HEALTHCARE PACKAGE PROVISIONS THAT NO ILLEGAL MAY BE ASKED THEIR LEGAL STATUS. TRANSLATE FROM ENGLISH TO MEXICAN: ILLEGALS GET FREE HEALTH CARE! In fact, under the LA RAZA DEMPSTERS’ plan, all Americas would be required to feed the BIG INSURANCE MONSTERS and have insurance, but ILLEGALS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO. THEREFORE, when the illegal shows up for “free” medical, and can’t be asked if they’re an American that simply can’t speak English, has no INSURANCE CARD, will he get insurance? Just go to Los Angeles which now pays out $50 million per month in welfare to illegals.
*
Meanwhile, our LA RAZA DEMPSTERS, FEINSTEIN, BOXER and PELOSI have all three used their elected offices to get filthy rich themselves.
*
AND CALIFORNIA INCREASING LOOKS LIKE A THIRD-WORLD COUNTRY WHERE YOU DON’T HEAR ENGLISH SPOKEN ANYWHERE, AND SIGNS ARE POSTED ON SOME OF THE BIGGEST RETAIL CHAINS LIKE:
TARGET
ROSS STORES

WE DON’T HIRE LEGALS HERE! WE PAY ONLY MISERABLE WAGES TO ILLEGALS ONLY! NO GRINGO NEED APPLY!
*
SO WHERE’S ICE? THE CA DEMPSTERS HAVE RENOUNCED ICE’S CRACKDOWN ON EMPLOYERS ILLEGALLY HIRING ILLEGALS.
DIANNE FEINSTEIN HAS LONG ILLEGALLY HIRED ILLEGALS AT HER S.F. HOTEL
NANCY PELOSI HAS LONG ILLEGALLY HIRED ILLEGALS AT HER ST. HELENA, NAPA WINERY. SHE IS ALSO A BIG INVESTOR IN SUNKIST WHICH HAS LONG HIRED ILLEGALS!

California, LA County jobless rates hit record 11.9%
By Daily News
Updated: 08/21/2009 09:44:10 AM PDT
Nearly 36,000 Californians lost their jobs in July, pushing the state's unemployment rate to 11.9 percent -- a rate matched in Los Angeles County, officials said today.
California is now tied with Oregon for the fourth-highest unemployment rate in the nation, behind Michigan, Rhode Island and Nevada.
The nation's jobless rate edged down last month, from 9.5 to 9.4 percent, the first decline since April 2008.

20 years of CORPORATE RAPE AND PILLAGE BY BUSH, HILLARY, BILLARY, BUSH and now WALL STREET’S OBAMA.
You thought the global meltdown was an act of nature? What the banksters have done to us only follows the same paradigms of all preceding corporate rapes.
CORPORATE BRIBES, BOUGHT WORTHLESS POLITICIANS, DEREGULATE, NO WHITE COLLAR CRIME ENFORCEMENT, OUT SOURCE OUR JOBS, IN-SOURCE CHINESE AND INDIANS TO TAKE OUR JOBS, AND KEEP THE FLOODS OF “CHEAP” LABOR MEXICANS POURING OVER OUR BORDERS AND BREEDING FAST FOR GENERATIONS OF “CHEAP” LABOR MEXICAN FLAG WAVERS.
On August 20, 2009, Obama had a large group of special interests in the “transparent” White House to hammer out the LA RAZA DEMS’ next bit by bit by bit amnesty for 38 million illegals. The press was NOT invited. La Raza, the virulently racist Mexican political party for Mexican supremacy WAS!
Anyone have the latest figures on foreclosures? Banksters are making big money on this like they did in their mortgage scams.
And then has anyone heard a word from the politicians, like Feinstein, Boxer and Pelosi that took big money to bailout big banksters, but not a word comes out of their big mouths about foreclosure or unemployment??? Actually these politicians do have a word on unemployment, that word is AMNESTY!

Rise of the Super-Rich Hits a Sobering Wall
By DAVID LEONHARDT and GERALDINE FABRIKANT
The rich have been getting richer for so long that the trend has come to seem almost permanent.
They began to pull away from everyone else in the 1970s. By 2006, income was more concentrated at the top than it had been since the late 1920s. The recent news about resurgent Wall Street pay has seemed to suggest that not even the Great Recession could reverse the rise in income inequality.
Other economists say the recent explosion of incomes at the top did hurt everyone else, by concentrating economic and political power among a relatively small group.
Since 1980, tax rates on the affluent have fallen more than rates on any other group; this year, the top marginal rate is 35 percent.
GOLDMAN SACHS IS A MAJOR DONOR TO BARACK OBAMA, AND HE HAS TAKEN GOOD CARE OF THEM SINCE. MASSIVE WELFARE, BIG BONUSES, NO REAL REGULATION, AND NO ONE AT GOLDMAN GOES TO PRISON. OWNING A PIECE OF THE WHITE HOUSE IS ALWAYS A GOOD INVESTMENT!
Some companies — like Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase, which face less competition now and have been helped by the government’s attempts to prop up credit markets — will still hand out enormous paychecks.
In 2007, the top one ten-thousandth of households took home 6 percent of the nation’s income, up from 0.9 percent in 1977. It was the highest such level since at least 1913, the first year for which the I.R.S. has data.
The top 1 percent of earners took home 23.5 percent of income, up from 9 percent three decades earlier.

One in nine Americans uses food stamps
By Tom Eley
20 August 2009
One in nine Americans relied on food stamps in May, the highest proportion ever, according to recently released data from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). In all, 34.4 million people used the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), a federal program that provides assistance to low-income people, an increase of more than 2 percent from the previous month, and a staggering increase of 6 million over the past year.
May’s increase was the sixth consecutive month that set a new record in food stamp use. Government food assistance increased in every state, with Florida registering the sharpest gain at 4.2 percent.
The year-over-year percentage increase in food stamp use is more striking, with 13 states, representing every region of the country, registering a spike of more than 25 percent. These were Utah (45.5 percent), Nevada (39 percent), Idaho (36.3 percent), Washington (34.5 percent), Florida (34.2 percent), Vermont (33.6 percent), Wisconsin (31.3 percent), Arizona (29.7 percent), Colorado (28.9 percent), Georgia (28.3 percent), Maryland (27.2 percent), Massachusetts (25.3 percent), and Oregon (25 percent).
“Food stamp enrollment is rising because the economy is having a devastating impact on low-income families and they need this program to eat,” said Stacy Dean of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities said. “Every single state has been affected.”
The food stamp program is largely funded by the federal government and administered by the states. Historically, recipients could redeem stamps or coupons for food assistance at grocery stores, but in recent years paper stamps have been phased out in favor of a debit card system called Electronic Benefit Transfer.
The program aims to assist the desperately poor. According to the USDA, the average gross monthly income of food stamp-receiving households was $640, with nearly 80 percent of all benefits going to households with children.
The program provides an average of $133 monthly per person requesting food assistance. By way of comparison, according to the USDA’s own estimates, a “low-cost” monthly nutritional scheme for a single teenage boy requires a minimum of $220 spending on food per month.
Federal food assistance for the poor was a Great Society measure created during the the Lyndon Johnson administration (1963-1969). Since the late 1970s, it has weathered round after round of cuts at the hands of both Democratic and Republican administrations and congresses, who claimed to be creating a “culture of responsibility” among the poor.
The most savage of these cuts came in 1996, through Bill Clinton’s “Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunities Reconciliation Act,” which eliminated eligibility for legal immigrants (these restrictions have since been only slightly relaxed), limited stamp use for “able bodied” adults without dependents to three months during a 36-month period, and substantially reduced maximum food benefits.
The result is a food stamp program that, even in more favorable economic conditions, fails to meet basic nutritional needs and shuts out the vast majority of the working class from any assistance whatsoever. The economic crisis has laid bare the woefully inadequate character of the program and the “social safety net” as a whole.
In Texas, demand is such that in July the state was delinquent in processing nearly 40 percent of new requests. Rachel Cavazos, who has four children, is jobless, and is in the midst of a divorce, applied for food stamps in April and has not yet heard back on her request. “It’s very hurtful, especially when somebody doesn’t give you the benefit of the doubt,” the 32-year-old Houston native recently told the Houston and Texas News. “The help is not for me. It’s for my babies. I don’t want my children to suffer.”
Recently at a Dallas, Texas, food stamp office, a line of the desperate and hungry formed before 5 a.m. “I got a four, a five and a 15-year-old. And right now I got $2.27. So we’re going to have some Ramen noodles tonight,” Kenyadda Momanyi told a local news station. A class action lawsuit has been filed against the state of Texas to force it to process applications more swiftly.
Mickey Warren, food directer of Christian Life Food Pantry in Knox County, Kentucky, recently went before the local Chamber of Commerce in a desperate bid for charitable contributions. “It’s toward the end of the month and people are starting to look for more and more food, because by now the ones that draw food stamps, they’re gone, the kids are hungry,” he said.
“Warren recalled [recently watching] a small girl rip open a whole pound cake package in the pantry parking lot, grasping it with both hands and eating it like a candy bar, because she had been hungry,” the local TimesTribune.com reported.
In Wichita, Kansas, a grandmother summed up her plight in a word. “The most simple word would be we’re hungry,” Kathi Boggs told a local news station, as she sat with her 6-year-old grandson, Alex, at a soup kitchen. “At the end of the day there’s not enough for food.”
“People are desperate,” said Gary Madden, a charity worker who assists people in gaining access to food stamps in San Bernardino County, California. “People calling now are saying things like ‘I’ve never asked for help in my life. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I’ve lost my job and I’m about to lose my home.’ More men are calling. Families are doubling up in homes.”
“Callers are saying, ‘bank bailouts, auto company bailouts, where’s my bailout?’,” Madden told BlackVoiceNews.com.

Mortgage defaults soar to record 13%
In the second quarter, the number of homeowners behind on payments or in foreclosure rose along with the jobless rate, with California among states leading the way.
By E. Scott Reckard and Ronald D. White
August 21, 2009
Widespread joblessness is causing more Americans to fall behind on their house payments, triggering a new round of foreclosures that some analysts fear could delay the nation's economic recovery.

A mortgage trade group reported Thursday that more than 13% of the nation's mortgage holders were delinquent on their mortgages or in the process of having their homes repossessed during the second quarter of this year. That's the highest figure since tracking began in 1972. California's rate, 15.2%, was among the highest of all states.

A rising tide of social misery
By David Walsh
16 July 2009
Contrary to Obama administration and media claims about the recession “easing,” millions of working people in America are losing their jobs, earnings and health care benefits at an accelerating pace.
While executives at Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and other financial giants prepare to pay themselves billions of dollars this year in salaries and bonuses, life has continued to become more and more difficult for a broad layer of the population.
The New York Times pointed out on Wednesday that in California and a number of other states, “one out of every five people who would like to be working full time is not now doing so.”
The official jobless rate of 9.5 percent excludes both those who have stopped looking for jobs because local conditions are so bleak and those obliged to accept part-time employment.
If these unemployed and underemployed were included, the real jobless rate in the country’s most populous state, California, for example, would be 20.3 percent, according to the Times. In Oregon it would be 23.5 percent, in Michigan and Rhode Island, 21.5 percent, and in South Carolina, 20.5 percent. The figure would be just below 20 percent in Tennessee, Nevada and a number of “states that have relied heavily on manufacturing and housing.”
Given that the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ national jobless rate is skewed, for political reasons, to minimize the actual conditions, various analysts step in and attempt to come up with a “real unemployment” number.
The Center for Labor Market Studies at Boston’s Northeastern University places the current jobless rate at 18.2 percent, higher than the official figure on the eve of World War II. John Williams of Shadow Government Statistics puts the “Alternative Unemployment” rate at 20.6 percent. Other analysts calculate an “Effective Unemployment” figure of 18.7 percent. Whatever the precise number, the army of unemployed is large and swelling. A great many lives have already been devastated.
The figures on job losses in the current slump are staggering. Since the start of the recession in December 2007 the US economy has lost a total of 6.5 million jobs. In fact, the economy presently has fewer jobs than it did in May 2000. The Economic Policy Institute points out that “the entire growth in jobs over the last nine years has been wiped out,” while the labor force has actually expanded by 12.5 million workers.
According to economist Rosenberg, “We have lost a record 9 million full-time jobs this [business] cycle, more than triple what is normal in the context of a post-WWII recession, with over 2 million pushed onto part-time work.” He notes that three-quarters of those laid off over the past year were let go on a permanent, not a temporary basis, and that a record 53 percent of those currently out of work were displaced for good.
Job openings in the US have dropped by 42 percent since the end of 2007, so that in June 2009 there were some six unemployed looking for every job. As a result, the percentage of the jobless out of work for more than six months increased by nearly 70 percent from June 2008 to June 2009 (17.1 to 29 percent).
Since employers, who can afford to pick and choose, are generally taking experience over youth, and workers over 55 are holding on to their jobs for dear life, the official unemployment rate for young people has jumped to 15.2 percent for 20-24 year olds (a 49 percent increase in 12 months!) and 24 percent for 16-19 year olds. For African-Americans 16 to 19, the jobless rate is currently 38 percent.
As serious as they are, the jobless figures are only part of the story. Public and private employers across the country are taking advantage of the recession to cut wages, hours (through “unpaid leave,” “furloughs” and other means) and benefits, impoverishing many of those still employed.
The average work week fell to 33 hours in June, the lowest since data was collected in 1964, and 48 minutes shorter than when the recession began. The combined decline in jobs and hours in June was the equivalent of a loss of some 800,000 jobs.
Business Week notes that “Cuts in pay and hours are rippling throughout the economy in businesses large and small and industries from mining to retail.” A survey commissioned by the Economist in June found 5 percent of respondents had already taken a furlough in 2009 and 13 percent had taken a pay cut.
Mortimer Zuckerman in the July 14 Wall Street Journal commented: “Full-time workers are being downgraded to part time as businesses slash labor costs to remain above water, and factories are operating at only 65% of capacity.” Average weekly earnings fell to $611.49 in June, from $613.34 in May.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday that real average weekly earnings fell by 1.2 percent from May to June after seasonal adjustment. The drop resulted from a 0.3 percent decrease in average weekly hours and a 0.9 percent increase in the Consumer Price Index, driven by a sharp jump in gasoline prices.
Also on Wednesday, reports showed that industrial production declined in the US, for the eighth straight month. The industrial sector operated at 68 percent of its capacity in June, down from 68.2 percent in May, a new low in the 42 years since the data have been collected.
Meanwhile, eleven of the 17 Federal Reserve governors and regional bank presidents are predicting that unemployment will be 10 percent or higher in the final three months of 2009, and they expect the downturn, according to the Washington Post, “to be long-lasting.”
American workers are not only losing jobs and homes, they are also losing health care “at an alarming rate,” says a new report from Families USA. While the latest data from the Census Bureau indicated that 45.7 million Americans lacked health coverage in 2007, “economists believe the situation has only worsened in the intervening months as the economic downturn has taken its toll.” Experts predict an additional 6.9 million people in the US—a 15 percent increase—will lose their health coverage by the end of 2010.
Behind this health care disaster are the combined effects of rising costs, businesses slashing or eliminating coverage, and unemployment.
Noting that the rapid increase in joblessness means that the various states will probably “experience even greater losses ... than can be captured by our Key Findings,” Families USA estimates that between January 2008 and December 2010, 995,200 people in California, for example, will lose health coverage—or 6,380 per week. In Texas, which has the highest percentage of uninsured, some 866,000 residents will lose coverage by the end of next year.
In Florida, more than 3,500 people a week are losing coverage; in New York, nearly 2,500 people; in both Illinois and Georgia some 1,600 people; in New Jersey, 1,200, and in Michigan, a little more than 1,000 people each week.
In the US as a whole, the group estimates that 44,000 people are losing their health care every week.
On July 7 the American Bankers Association reported delinquencies on consumer debt rose to record levels, as customers had difficulty paying for everything from credit cards to automobiles. The percentage of borrowers at least 30 days late paying a balance is the highest since the association began keeping records in 1974.
ABA Chief Economist James Chessen stated bluntly, “The number one driver of delinquencies is job loss. When people lose their jobs, they can’t pay their bills. Delinquencies won’t improve until companies start hiring again.”
Public outrage at the present situation is growing. It is not uncommon to hear the rich, the “filthy” bankers, being denounced in work places and neighborhoods. Many workers—abandoned by the unions to their fate, lied to and cheated by the Democrats—have been stunned by the rapidity of the crisis. The Economist, a little nervously, refers to “The quiet Americans,” who are “proving stoical in the face of pay cuts and compulsory unpaid leave.” Later the magazine adds, “for the moment.”
Whatever the initial problems and hesitations of the population, the raging economic crisis will destabilize American political and social life, and radicalize vast numbers of people. It is inevitably creating the conditions for a showdown between working people, the vast majority, and the corporate aristocracy. Building an independent political movement of the working class based on a socialist and internationalist program to offer a progressive way out of the crisis is the most pressing task.

Los Angeles - MEXICAN WELFARE STATE aka, GANGLAND

What does a SANCTUARY CITY under Mexican occupation look like? A Mexican graffiti covered dumpster? Tijuana? Graffiti hell hole?..... Yes, and it’s called LOS ANGELES, or LaLaLando! The Christian Science Monitor calls it “Mexican gang capital of America.”

Have you seen the campaign ads of this Mex clown, TACO RUNT? Says to look at how much he’s done about MEXICAN GANGS. Here’s a solution. SEND THE ILLEGALS PACKING BACK TO NARCOMEX, put employers of illegals in JAIL, and then watch the Mexican crime wave plummet along with the $40 million in welfare legals pay ILLEGALS monthly! It’s no rock science. It’s saving our country!

And you can thank the racist mayor ANTHONY “THE TACO RUNT” VILLARAIGOSA for his help in making sure Mexicans have greater advantage and rights than those stupid gringos!

Sanctuary city Los Angeles is substantially a Mexican occupied territory where 47% of those that have a job are ILLEGALS. In Los Angeles, so long as you have a stolen social security number, being unable to speak English is not a problem to an employer. You’ll get a job anywhere and get on welfare easily. No one speaks ENGLISH in most service business anyway, and ILLEGALS loathe English like the loathe literacy.

The Mayor of Los Angeles, also Hillary Clinton’s campaign co chairman is a virulently racist Mexican supremacist and party member of the Mexican racist Fascist part of LA RAZA.... “The Race”. This runt Mexican proclaimed the day the Mexicans marched on this country in 2006 as “the happiest day of my life!”

Los Angeles has been characterized by the Christian Science Monitor as the “MEXICAN GANG CAPITAL OF AMERICA”. Google Los Angeles and Mexican gangs.

The number of murders by Mexican gangs approaches 1000 per year. They cost the legals nearly one million each to prosecute. ICE has deported nearly 15,000 convicted criminal aliens already this year from southern California. AND YET FEINSTEIN, BOXER, PELOSI and WAXMAN all are working for OPEN BORDERS, amnesty, AND NO WALL!

1 in 5 births are by illegals. You pay the bills on that, including 18 years of welfare that comes with it. For the rest of the country it’s 1 in 10 births that are illegal that the tax payers pay for.

Los Angeles spends millions per year in Mexican graffiti abatement. One woman that attempted to stop the Mexicans and their spray painting was shot in the head by an illegal.

VILLARAIGOSA has been promised a cabinet post by Hillary Clinton should she get the White House. She spends half her time HISPANDERING to the illegals. The runt Mexican also has a notion he will be governor of California. Feinstein and Boxer both work not only for OPEN BORDERS NO WALL, but No English, No voter ID’s. These two whores are bought and paid for by Big Agri Biz and La Raza donors Bank of America and Wells Fargo that have made staggering profits from illegal money transfers between the United States and NarcoMex. There’s big money for all in the Mexican drug cartel business!

"Part of today's reality has been propositions like 187 (to deny public benefits to illegal aliens, 1994), propositions like 209 (to abolish affirmative action, 1996), the welfare reform bill, which targeted legal immigrants and targeted us as a community. That's been the midnight. We know that the sunny side of midnight has been the election of a Latino speaker was the election of Loretta Sanchez, against an arch conservative, reactionary hate mongering politician like Congressman Dornan! Today in California in the legislature, we're engaged in a great debate, where not only were we talking about denying education to the children of undocumented workers, but now we're talking about whether or not we should provide prenatal care to undocumented mothers. It's not enough to elect Latino leadership. If they're supporting legislation that denies the undocumented driver's licenses, they don't belong in office, friends. They don't belong here. If they can't stand up and say, 'You know what? I'm not ever going to support a policy that denies prenatal care to the children of undocumented mothers', they don't belong here."

Over American Crime Victims

By Walter Moore, Candidate For Mayor of Los Angeles, WalterMooreForMayor.com

On March 2, 2004, the Los Angeles City Council including Villaraigosa, Zine, and Smith voted 15 to 0 to pass an ordinance (No. 175853) requiring all City agencies to accept Mexico's "Matricula Consular" cards as valid identification. This phony ID is handed out by Mexico like grocery store coupons. La Raza donors Bank of America and Wells Fargo both accept them. There’s big money is the Mexican drug cartel’s fund transfers back to NARCOmex.

Repeat: the vote was 15 to ZERO.

The only people who benefit from that ordinance, of course, are illegal aliens. After all, anyone in the country legally would have valid identification. The ordinance is part of the City's "sanctuary city" policy: aiding and abetting illegal immigration by changing our rules to accommodate illegal aliens.

Fast forward to today, May 8, 2008.

It has been a month since the Shaw family came to City Council and urged them to pass Jamiel's Law, to spare another family the heartbreaking burden of a preventable murder.

What action has City Council taken? None. No vote. No ordinance. Nothing but talk and Zine's watered down counterfeit motion, which would merely "request" that Chief Bratton modify Special Order 40 somewhat. Incredibly, City Council hasn't even had the guts to put that tepid, toothless motion to a vote. And Bratton has arrogantly declared that he won't change one word of Special Order 40 in any event.

Nor, of course, has Villaraigosa himself taken any action. His silence on Jamiel's Law is deafening. He came to Jamiel's funeral for a "photo op," but he won't come to the aid of Jamiel's family now that they're trying to spare other families the terrible loss they themselves have suffered. Villaraigosa could deny "sanctuary city" protection to gang members with the stroke of a pen. Special Order 40 is a memo, not a law. The Mayor has to power to amend it or even abolish it by issuing a simple Executive Directive. He refuses to use that power. He insists on making our city a sanctuary for gangs.

So we're done with the Mayor and the City Council. Last night, the Shaws and I signed a formal request for the City Clerk to put Jamiel's Law on the March 2009 ballot. Today I will FedEx the request to City Hall. Within a month, we should have petitions ready for L.A.'s voters to sign.

Then you, I and our fellow voters will have 120 days to gather at least 74,000 L.A. voters' signatures. We will do that, and we will put Jamiel's Law on the March 3, 2009 ballot.

And on March 3, 2009, we will make L.A. a sanctuary not for gangs, but for law abiding American citizens and legal aliens.

Study Shows 25 Percent Of L.A.'s Welfare Goes To Illegal Aliens

Supervisor says county spends more than $1 billion a year on benefits to illegals. According to new data from the Department of Public Social Services, nearly twenty five percent of Los Angeles County Â’s welfare and food stamp benefits goes directly to the children of illegal aliens, at a cost of $36 million a month for a projected annual cost of $432 million.

"The total cost for illegal immigrants to County taxpayers far exceeds $1 billion a year – not including the millions of dollars for education," said Antonovich. "With $220 million for public safety, $400 million for healthcare, and $432 million in welfare allocations, illegal immigration continues to have a devastating impact on Los Angeles County taxpayers."

In March, illegals collected over $19 million in welfare assistance and over $16 million in food stamp allocations.

GANG MAYHEM CRIPPLES BIG AREA OF LOS ANGELES

Thousands stranded, schools locked down as notorious group battles the LAPD after a drive by killing.

By Richard Winton, Susannah Rosenblatt and Andrew Blankstein

February 22, 2008

A drive by attack followed by a wild shootout between gang members and police shut down dozens of blocks of Northeast Los Angeles for nearly six hours Thursday afternoon, stranding thousands of residents, keeping students locked in their classrooms and leaving two people dead.

Veteran L.A. Police Department officials described the bizarre midday shootings and the widespread disruption they caused as highly unusual even in an area known for gang activity. It left the neighborhood littered with shell casings and its residents fearful.

Police blamed the incident on the notorious Avenues gang, which has cast a wide shadow over districts north of downtown L.A. for decades and continues to be active despite several high profile attempts by authorities to shut it down.

The violence began around noon when a 37 year old man police described as a bystander was shot more than a dozen times by suspected gang members as he held the hand of a 2 year old girl. He later died. The toddler, apparently picked up by a passerby and carried to safety, was not wounded. As the gunmen drove off, witnesses told police, several pedestrians who apparently knew the victim opened fire on the car.

Minutes later, police attempted to stop suspects driving in a white Nissan sedan about 10 blocks away. Three men jumped out of the car, and at least two of them fired weapons at officers.

A man wielding an AK 47 rifle was killed by police as they returned fire, authorities said.
students locked down at Washington Irving Middle School.

Near the scene of the shootings Thursday, Bratton described a neighborhood terrorized in recent weeks by gang violence.

"Gangs that have been here for generations have been going at each other," Bratton said during a news conference, referring to the Avenues and Cypress Park gangs.

Since the beginning of the year, authorities said Avenues gang members are suspected in at least six homicides. Northeast Division, typically far from the most violent in the city, already has eight homicides this year, more than any other, police said. At that rate, the division would far eclipse last year's total of 18.

Deputy Chief Sergio Diaz said that while the area has gang problems, the level of violence in the last few weeks is "unheard of."

In the last month, police said, about a third of the 60 aggravated assaults in the area this year have been connected to Avenues gang members.

The Avenues gang has cast a long shadow in these poor, largely Latino sections north of downtown L.A.

LATINO GANG TRIED TO FORCE BLACKS OUT, INDICTMENT SAYS

Criminal rivals and innocent citizens both paid a price in a South L.A. neighborhood, prosecutors allege.
By Ari B. Bloomekatz and Sam Quinones
Los Angeles Times Staff Writers

October 17, 2007

Federal prosecutors Tuesday accused members of a Latino street gang of a violent campaign to drive African American rivals out of their South Los Angeles area neighborhood, resulting in at least 20 killings in the last three years.

Capping an undercover investigation conducted over that period, authorities issued indictments that charged more than 60 members and associates of the Florencia 13 street gang with a long list of felonies. Prosecutors say the gang was trying to dominate the area's drug trade as well as extort "rent" from prostitutes, vendors, drug dealers and others.

Much of the violence occurred in the Florence Firestone neighborhood, a working class unincorporated community of 60,000 north of Watts that went through a rapid shift in population starting in the 1980s. Once mostly black, the area is now home to many Mexican immigrants.

Officials said Latino gang leaders in recent years had sought to drive the remaining black gangs and their supporters from the neighborhood and had repeatedly ordered members to attack black rivals in some cases shooting them on sight.

The indictment's description of sustained, deadly racial gang fighting provides evidence of a type of violence that is often discussed but seldom documented. Homicide statistics indicate that the vast majority of killings take place within racial or ethnic groups.

Florence Firestone, however, appears to have been a murderous exception. Killings in the neighborhood peaked in 2005, when 41 homicides sparked widespread community outcry. As violence rose, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department sent more than 60 additional deputies to the area and conducted several mass arrests aimed at reducing racial violence. The district attorney's office devoted a special prosecutor to handle only Florence Firestone homicides for two years.

Last year, homicides plummeted to 19.

Another piece of the stepped up law enforcement effort was the undercover investigation. Officials said Tuesday that they had determined that 80 shootings since early 2005 had resulted from the gang violence.

In some cases, African Americans with no gang ties were caught up in the violence, prosecutors said. "In their attempt to intimidate African Americans in the community, they targeted innocent citizens," said U.S. Atty. Thomas P. O'Brien.
In one instance, an African American couple were robbed at gunpoint by gang members who were trying to send a message, prosecutors say. In another, a man waiting at a Florence Avenue bus stop before work was critically injured in a drive by shooting by Florencia members who apparently mistook him for a rival gang member, according to the indictments.

The gang would "target African American individuals for assault" and leaders made sure "that all the F13 cliques were participating in the assaults of African American rival gang members," the indictments say.

Florence Firestone is a collection of factories, stucco homes and mom and pop stores that has gone through dramatic demographic changes every 15 to 20 years since it formed in the early 1930s.

Poor Southern whites, middle class blacks and poor Southern blacks have all entered Southern California via short stays in Florence Firestone.

In the late 1980s, the neighborhood was about 80% African American. But most black residents have moved away. Today, the area is 90% Latino mostly Mexican immigrants.

"The last five years has been the greatest influx" of Latinos, said Pastor Chris LeGrande of the Great Hope Fellowship of Faith on Compton Avenue, one of Florence Firestone's largest black churches.

African Americans and Latinos are often separated by language and culture, and frequently compete for the same jobs. The area has two parks: Washington Park is used mostly by blacks; Roosevelt Park to the north by Latinos.

"I think we adults have many problems in sympathizing with the other race," said Gloria Medina, Spanish language liaison for the Florence Firestone Chamber of Commerce. "It's not just the children; it's that we've taught this to children. . . . [We] respect each other, but there's not much closeness."

Sheriff Lee Baca said Tuesday that Florencia's violence was notable given the fact that gang violence in Los Angeles in general has been dropping in the last few years. In Los Angeles, homicides overall so far this year are declining to levels not seen since the early 1970s.

Authorities this year have vowed to focus more attention on race motivated crimes involving gangs. The push started after a 14 year old black girl was shot and killed last year, allegedly by members of a Latino gang, in the Harbor Gateway section of Los Angeles.

Last year, members of the Latino Avenues gang were convicted in federal court for a series of assaults and killings in the early 1990s targeting blacks in Highland Park.

The indictments unveiled Tuesday charged 61 Florencia gang members and associates with a variety of felonies, including weapons violations, drug sales and conspiracy to commit murder. More than a dozen of the suspects were in custody on earlier charges, and 11 defendants are still at large. Many charges give prosecutors the option to pursue hate crime charges once the cases go to court, which would allow stiffer penalties.

THE STAGGERING BURDEN OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION TO TAXPAYERS

Immigration bill sticker shock $127 BILLION (THIS FIGURE IS DATED. CALIFORNIA ALONE PUTS OUT THIS AMOUNT IN SOCIAL SERVICES TO ILLEGALS IN AN EFFORT TO KEEP ILLEGALS FLOODING IN AND WAGES DEPRESSED — WAGES ARE DEPRESSED IN THE U.S. BY $200 BILLION PER YEAR AND THE COST OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO ILLEGALS IS $300 BILLION PER YEAR AND SOARING.

A government study puts the cost of the Senate's version of reform at $127 billion over 10 years.

By Gail Russell Chaddock | Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor

WASHINGTON
The price tag for comprehensive immigration reform was not a key issue when the Senate passed its bill last May. But it is now.

One reason: It took the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) the gold standard for determining what a bill will cost until last week to estimate that federal spending for this vast and complex bill would hit $127 billion over the next 10 years.
At the same time, federal revenues would drop by about $79 billion, according to the CBO and the Joint Committee on Taxation. If lawmakers fix a tax glitch, that loss would be cut in half, they add.

In field hearings across the nation this month, House GOP leaders are zeroing in on the costs of the Senate bill. It's a bid to define the issue heading into fall elections and muster support for the House bill, which focuses on border security. They say that the more people know about the Senate version, including a path to citizenship for some 11 million people now in the country illegally, the less they will be inclined to support it.

“WE ARE NOW JUST BEGINNING TO SEE A GLIMPSE OF THE STAGGERING BURDEN ON AMERICAN TAXPAYERS” OF THE MEXICAN INVASION.......

"We are now just beginning to see a glimpse of the staggering burden on American taxpayers the Reid Kennedy McCain immigration legislation contains," said House Judiciary Committee Chairman James Sensenbrenner, who convened a field hearing at the State House in Concord, N.H., Thursday on the costs of the Senate bill.
But business groups and others backing the Senate bill say that the cost to the US economy of not resolving the status of illegal immigrants and expanding guest worker programs is higher still. "In my opinion, the fairer question is: How will illegal immigrants impact the costs of healthcare, local education, and social services without passage of comprehensive immigration reform?" said John Young, co chairman of the Agriculture Coalition for Immigration Reform, at Thursday's hearing.
"Had we solved this problem in a truly comprehensive way in 1986 ... we would not have the daily news reporting outright shortages of farm labor threatening the very existence of agricultural industries coast to coast," he adds.
Experts are poring over the new CBO data and coming up with radically different assessments of the social costs of reform, ranging from tens of billions of dollars higher to a net wash.
On the issue of border security a feature in both bills there is little disagreement. The CBO estimates that the cost of hardening US borders in the Senate bill is $78.3 billion over 10 years, or about 62 percent of the bill's total cost.
The fireworks involve new entitlement spending in the Senate version. The CBO sets the price tag for services for some 16 million new citizens and guest workers at $48.4 billion through fiscal year 2016. That includes $24.5 billion for earned income and child tax credits, $11.7 billion for Medicaid, $5.2 billion for Social Security, $3.7 billion for Medicare, and $2.4 billion for food stamps.
But it's easier to estimate the cost of a mile of fence than to assess the prospects for millions of workers, once they can work legally and claim benefits.

WHY THE NEW JOBS GO TO IMMIGRANTS

By David R. Francis
Wall Street cheered and stock prices rose when the US Labor Department announced last Friday that employers had expanded their payrolls by 262,000 positions in February.
But it wasn't entirely good news. The statisticians also indicated that the share of the adult population holding jobs had slipped slightly from January to 62.3 percent. That's now two full percentage points below the level in the brief recession that began in March 2001.

Why the apparent contradiction? Reasons abound: population growth, rising retirements. But one factor that gets little attention is immigration.
In the past four years, the number of immigrants into the US, legal and illegal, has closely matched the number of new jobs. That suggests newcomers have, in effect, snapped up all of the new jobs.
"There has been no net job gain for natives," says Andrew Sum, an economist at Northeastern University.

HOW MANY TUNNELS UNDER OUR BORDERS? How Many Illegals?

As America begins to spend millions if not billions on a border fence to bring an end to illegal immigration, drug smuggling, human trafficking, and the threat of terrorists crossing the border without American law enforcement knowledge, one issue that has to be addressed is what to do about the tunnels being burrowed from Mexico into the Unites States. There has also been tunnels found between Canada and the U.S. along the Canadian border as well. These tunnels are growing in complexity and has been a growing problem since the late eighties and early nineties. The Tunnels have been use along the Southern border with Mexico to smuggle illegal aliens,
Drugs, stolen goods, humans being illegally trafficked, weapons and more. Law enforcement are finding them, but they are saying that some have been in operation for years. Along the Northern border with Canada drug smugglers have created tunnels as well that may be used for human trafficking, weapons but definitely are being used for drugs. Tunnels have become a necessity to smugglers since a crackdown that began after the events of September 11, 2001. The newer tunnels are growing in complexity that includes railways, lighting and ventilation systems. The time and manpower to create the complex underground pathways shows a commitment for increase flow. To own or operate a tunnel into America would have to be an extremely powerful and profitable toll bridge worth billions of dollars.

The thing is that organized crime in Mexico is always involved in major operations such as this. They have the resources and manpower to create the tunnels. It would take quite a bit of both to complete the advanced tunnels being found in California and Arizona.

Terrorists Tunnels?
It is very important to understand why these drug and human trafficking tunnels are so dangerous to the safety and security of the United States. As stated drug dealers and human traffickers are the groups that are known to use the tunnels and that in itself is cause for concern and attention. However the thought that terrorists that are dead set to do harm in America could also use these tunnels or better yet create their own should be a major concern. What may be going on beneath American borders can be even more dangerous than what is above in the open. Far from the tiny passages or crawl spaces one would expect or envision from a prison breakout movie. The tunnels are large and lots of product can be moved at once regardless if it is humans, drugs, weapons or anything else that is profitable for the smugglers.
The second disturbing point is that law enforcement has acknowledged that the drug cartels are setting up training camps for recruits similar to those in Afghanistan created by al Qaeda. This shows that the drug cartels are willing to challenge the Mexican police and are even advertising for recruits. The camps are near the borders with United States. The Mexican drug cartels are advertising for young men to step up and come and join their ranks to fight the Mexican army. The ads and banners promise those who join will make good money have food and a place to stay even while in training. Federal authorities say these camps have Afghanistan and other middle eastern instructors who teach the latest military fighting tactics that are utilized in Iraq and Afghanistan by the Islamic radicals that are fighting and killing American and allied troops in those countries. Mexican officials admit they know of special training camps in the Mexican states of Tamaulipas and Michoacan, where newly recruited Zetas take intensive six-week training courses in weapons, tactics and intelligence gathering.
Former Mexican national security adviser and ambassador to the United Nations, Adolfo Aguilar Zinser, stated, that "Spanish and Islamic terrorist groups are using Mexico as a refuge… In light of this situation, there are continuing investigations aimed at dismantling these groups so that they may not cause problems". He also mentioned that the terrorist groups in question are located in the northern part of the country. "Islamic people" in Mexico sparked speculation among observers that the Lebanese Shi´ite terrorist organization Hizbollah have established cells in Mexico.
Iran is believed providing at least some of the money for this recruiting and training program. The training camps are teaching hit and run gorilla technique’s. Cells of Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) have sent their seasoned veterans to oversee the training of the new troops and to direct the war against the Mexican government on behalf of the Mexican Cartels. Extremist cells tied to Hizballah, Islamic Jihad, and al Qaeda are operating in Mexico and pose a potential threat to U.S. businesses, military personnel, and civilians throughout the region.

There is enough evidence to suggests that terrorists are not only in the region but have aligned with some of the drug cartels. The terrorist groups are not there just to help the drug cartels, but must have a bigger plan in place. The locations near the border for their activities is enough evidence to warrant that they are wanting to get closer to America in a hostile area that has seen years of violence and non government control. The drug cartels have run the show in these regions for some time. Terroristplanet.com has stated before that the Mexico - U.S. border has the makings of the lawless Afghanistan - Pakistan border region that has bred extremism and a flourishing drug trade as a result of poverty and ongoing violence. The recipe is the same in both places and now the terrorists have recognized it and are taking advantage of a disinterested America and a mostly absent Mexican government.
The drug and smuggling tunnels in Mexico and the Canada are dangerous. American, Mexican and Canadian law enforcement are locating some of them but are stating that they have been in operation for years. It is not an easy job. The borders are large and as you will read in the clippings below that some travel from buildings on one side of the border to another building on the other. More resources are needed. The Border Fence is just one part of the security measures that are needed to secure America. Surveillance equipment and intelligence gathering is crucial to locate and destroy these dangerous entry ways into America.

Below are a collection of news clipping collected to show how the problem is not going away even as Border Patrol agents on both side of the border fight for control of the borders themselves.
February 28, 2002 • Jacki Lyden speaks with Donald Thornhill, spokesman for the Drug Enforcement Agency, about the discovery of a 1000-foot tunnel used to smuggle drugs from Mexico to the United States. He says the tunnel connects a private home in the mountains east of San Diego to a house in the Mexican border town of Tecate. The tunnel is lighted and has steel rails to carry carts through it. Officials guess it had been in operation for two to three years.
October 3, 2003 Highly developed drug tunnel discovered in Arizona. During the second week of September, one of the most complex drug smuggling rings was discovered. It was connected to the notorious Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin Guzmán Loera. Guzmán Loera is one of the most feared and sought-after Mexican drug kingpins. He is known to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for his use of underground tunnels as a means of smuggling, like the one that was recently discovered. In 2001, he escaped from a maximum-security prison in Guadalajara, Mexico. His current whereabouts are unknown, but it is certain that he is fully established and producing massive amounts of cocaine. The Guzmán Loera tunnel stretches under the border, from a poor border town in Sonora to the clean-cut, well-groomed suburban town of Nogales, Arizona. The tunnel is thirteen feet deep, nine hundred and eighty-five feet long and is the best-equipped drug tunnel ever discovered. It contains rails and rail cars believed to have shipped tons of cocaine and marijuana.
July 25, 2005 Drug tunnel stirs fears about northern border. In the most remote parts of the 4,000-mile border the United States shares with Canada, more than 200 roads snake between the two countries, miles from homes and shops — unwatched and unprotected. News last week that authorities had discovered a tunnel for smuggling marijuana from British Columbia into Washington state — the first tunnel found on the northern border — has focused new attention on what has long been known as the world's longest undefended border. While authorities on both sides have beefed up security and added staffing since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, many believe the stretch remains hugely vulnerable — to illegal crossings, drug smuggling and especially terrorism. In recent years, security measures have been added on both sides of the border.

On the Canadian side, the border is monitored by 23 teams of border agents assisted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and local police. Still, most of Canada's 160 land and maritime border crossings are staffed by only one unarmed guard — and long stretches between entry points go unmanned. On the U.S. side, new camera-surveillance systems have gone online, and since Sept. 11 the Border Patrol force has been boosted by about one-third, to 1,000. Also, the Department of Homeland Security has added small air and marine operations near Blaine and Plattsburgh, N.Y., and plans others in Michigan, North Dakota and Montana.
January 27, 2006 SAN DIEGO -- Federal officials, who are stunned by the discovery of the longest border tunnel ever found, think the tunnel was constructed by a well-known drug cartel. John Fernandes, special agent in charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration's San Diego office, said he suspected the tunnel was the work Tijuana's Arellano-Felix drug smuggling syndicate or another well-known drug cartel. Fernandes said tougher enforcement above ground had forced smugglers to dig below
Mexican investigators found the tunnel entrance Tuesday inside a warehouse near the airport, about 150 yards south of the border. A 6-by-10-foot cement shaft equipped with a pulley dropped about 75 feet to the tunnel. The tunnel exited into a large, two-story white cinderblock warehouse in an industrial San Diego neighborhood near the border. Authorities found more than 2 tons of marijuana in what they say is the longest and one of the most sophisticated cross-border tunnels ever discovered along the U.S.-Mexico border.
The tunnel ran about 2,400 feet from a warehouse near the airport in Tijuana, Mexico, to a warehouse in San Diego's Otay Mesa industrial district, Michael Unzueta, a special agent in charge for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said. The size and scale of the tunnel -- the 21st discovered in more than four years along the Mexican border -- stunned authorities, who said that the passageway revealed the lengths smugglers will go to evade detection.
At least 60 feet below U.S. soil, authorities found a tunnel floor lined with cement, lights that ran down one of the hard soil walls and air piped down from the surface, he said. An adult could stand in the 5-foot-high shaft. It was like being in a cavern or a cave," Unzueta said. "It's just huge, absolutely incredible." The marijuana was found on the tunnel's Mexican side. About 200 pounds of marijuana was also discovered on the U.S. side, Unzueta said. Last week, Border Patrol agents discovered a 35-foot-long tunnel beneath the U.S.-Mexico border in after it caved in and the asphalt roadway above it collapsed. U.S. authorities said the tunnel ended in a patch of vacant land near the San Ysidro port of entry in San Diego. Three other tunnels have been discovered this month in the Tijuana-San Diego area.
June 13, 2007 Border Patrol finds two drug tunnels in Nogales. Border Patrol agents found over 350 pounds of marijuana in a storm drain tunnel last week. Friday, a certified tunnel unit with Border Patrol, along with their Mexican counterparts, started searching tunnels in Mexico into Arizona. During their search in the tunnels, they found a hand-dug drug tunnel. The tunnel actually runs underneath I-19 and comes out near exit 1-A in the city, a length of about 150 yards. Border Patrol's Andy Adame said, "You can see where they cut the sides of the galvanized. They cut that and made a tunnel that runs around and reconnects." Border agents say that smugglers used the tunnel for their get aways. Adame said, "When we dropped down, you could see the bodies going around us and scooting back into Mexico." Agents say the smugglers work in the late evening or early mornng when there's little traffic off I-19. They bring a vehicle down here, use a rope to pull the marijuana into the vehicle, and off they go. When agents went through the tunnel, they found water bottles and a pick. They also discovered a makeshift tray to smuggle their illegal cargo. Adame said, "It's just an aluminum tray. They run this, put it in the ground, run ropes so they don't even have to use a body to bring it across." Agents say that there's a chance the tunnel could collapse, so they have notified the Arizona Department of Transportation. Border Patrol agents don't know how long this tunnel has been in existence, but they do know that it's one tunnel drugs won't be coming out of anymore. Border patrol officials say that were it not for the cooperation of their Mexican counterparts, they would have never found the tunnels.
6/29/2007 NOGALES, Ariz. (AP) — U.S. and Mexican law enforcement agents executing simultaneous raids discovered a recently completed smuggling tunnel linking the two countries, officials said Friday. The entrances to the tunnel, described as a sophisticated passageway its builders planned to use to smuggle drugs, were discovered in a home in Nogales, Ariz., and an apartment in Nogales, Mexico, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. Five people were arrested during the raid on the Mexican location. No arrests had yet been made on the U.S. side of the border. The investigation has been underway since April, said Ramona Sanchez, a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration spokeswoman. The tunnel was about 3 feet wide and 100 yards long, she said. Agents who served a search warrant late Thursday at the tiny, one-story home found the tunnel entrance hidden beneath plywood sheets weighted down with bags of dirt inside a utility room. The tunnel itself was reinforced in areas with wooden supports and sand bags and had a lighting system, but no ventilation. The home was largely unfurnished, and searchers found picks, a jackhammer and other excavation equipment. The tunnel was the largest discovered along the U.S.-Mexico border since January 2006, when a tunnel extending nearly a half-mile from San Diego to Tijuana was found. Federal officials said the tunnel discovered Thursday has been temporarily sealed and will be filled in after the investigation is complete.
Federal officials said 40 tunnels have been discovered crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona and California since surveillance was increased following the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Dec 5, 2007 TIJUANA, Mexico – Gunmen killed the police chief of a Mexican city bordering California Tuesday by shooting him some 50 times in an apparent revenge attack after police found a drug-smuggling tunnel under the border. Gunmen broke into the house of Tecate police chief Juan Soriano in the early hours of the morning and shot him repeatedly in the face and torso as he slept in bed with his wife, an official at the Baja California state attorney general's office told Reuters. His wife was not hit. The killing of Soriano, who had started his job only last week, appeared to be an act of revenge against Mexican police, who Monday discovered a tunnel nearly a mile long running into California from Tecate near the Pacific coast after a tip-off from the U.S. Border Patrol.
September 17th, 2008 Eight people have been charged in Los Angeles for their connection to a 150 yards long underground drug tunnel. From the Los Angeles Times: The men, one of whom was identified as a suspected Los Angeles-area gang member, were arrested this month inside a small house where the well-constructed passageway began. The tunnel, equipped with ventilation, electricity and a rail-and-cart system to ferry material and dirt, stretched 150 yards, ending within feet of the California border. Mexican authorities say the sophisticated design suggests that a major drug cartel financed the project. Drug trafficking in Mexicali is controlled by the Sinaloa-based cartel led by Joaquin “Shorty” Guzman, but authorities have yet to determine whether the group was responsible. The tunnel appeared destined for a quiet neighborhood in the Imperial Valley city of Calexico. In recent years, organized-crime groups have tried to build at least seven tunnels in the Calexico-Mexicali area, taking advantage of flat terrain and dense cross-border neighborhoods. The tunnels, which can cost $1 million, are closely guarded secrets that often enjoy protection by local police
October 6, 2008 Mexican man gets 2 1/2-year sentence for drug tunnel SAN DIEGO (AP) -- A Mexican man has been sentenced to 2 1/2 years in federal prison for his role in a secret tunnel that was used to smuggle marijuana across the border to the United States. Antonio Morales Barrios told a federal judge Monday in San Diego that he regretted his actions. He will also lose his legal residency. Prosecutors say the 41-year-old was the caretaker of a home in downtown Calexico, about 51 miles west of Yuma, that housed a tunnel used to smuggle drugs from Mexico to California. Morales pleaded guilty in May to possession of more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana with intent to distribute. The tunnel discovered in September 2006 is one of at least 60 found along the U.S.-Mexico border since 2001.

Border Security . A nation that was created through immigration is now having to change it's traditional past of welcoming the un-welcomed in order to protect it self from the unknown threat that has changed our world since September 11, 2001.
