Joe Biden Laments: Confederates Did Not Make It to the U.S. Capitol, but January 6th Rioters Did

President Joe Biden suggested the violence of the January 6th riot on Capitol Hill was worse than the Civil War during a speech Thursday at the White House.

“Not even during the Civil War did insurrectionists breach the Capitol of the United States of America, the citadel of our democracy,” Biden began. “Not even then. But on January the 6th, 2021, they did.”

The president hosted a signing ceremony Thursday for a bill awarding Capitol Police officers a Congressional Gold Medal for their response to the January 6th riots, giving Biden an opportunity to excoriate supporters of the former president for the violence.

Biden described the Trump supporters who rioted at the Capitol as “a mob of extremists and terrorists” and disrupted a “sacred ritual” act by Congress to certify his election as president of the United States.

“It wasn’t dissent, it wasn’t debate, it wasn’t democracy,” he said. “It was insurrection. It was riot and mayhem. It was radical and chaotic. It was unconstitutional and maybe most important, it was fundamentally un-American.”

Biden added the riots were an “existential threat” to the United States.

“Our Democracy did survive,” he said. “Truth defeated lies. We did overcome.”

He attributed the eventual successful certification of the election to the law enforcement officers who tried to stop the protesters.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you for protecting our Capitol. Maybe even more importantly, for protecting our Constitution,” Biden said.

Exclusive — Mark Morgan: ‘White House and Democrats Are Trying to Pass Through a Mass Amnesty as Part of Infrastructure’

Migrants are processed by United States Border Patrol after crossing the US-Mexico border into the United States in Penitas, Texas on July 8, 2021. - Republican lawmakers have slammed Biden for reversing Trump programs, including his "remain in Mexico" policy, which had forced thousands of asylum seekers from Central America …

Mark Morgan, former chief operating officer and acting commissioner for Customs and Border Protection (CBP), told Breitbart News on Wednesday that the Biden administration and Democrats intend to include a “mass amnesty proposal” for illegal aliens in an appropriation bill marketed by the White House as a “Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill.”

“The White House and Democrats are trying to pass through a mass amnesty proposal as part of infrastructure,” Morgan warned on Wednesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow. “That in and of itself is ridiculous, but they’re also doing it through a complicated, seldom-used reconciliation process. It’s an end-run around needing a 60-vote requirement to get a bill passed [in the Senate].”

He continued, “This is unconscionable. I believe it’s illegal. I believe it goes against the reconciliation requirements, that [the legislation must] have some tangential relationship to spending. That’s the only way it can be part of an appropriations bill, [in this case] specifically infrastructure. It’s absolute lunacy.”

Americans “should have their voices heard” on an issue “so critical to our national security, public health. and our public safety,” Morgan remarked.

“The White House and Democrats [are] trying to do a back door, midnight, cloak of darkness deal to further their agenda,” he added. “It’s unconscionable.”

CBP cannot adequately secure the border while its resources are consumed by processing and housing illegal aliens, Morgan stated.

“Border patrol agents [are processing] 210,000 illegal aliens [in July],” he noted. “Guess what’s happening? They’re being pulled off the line. Large areas of the border are wide open. It’s why you’re seeing fentanyl [trafficking] skyrocket, criminal aliens are getting past them, gang members are getting past.”

Morgan said approximately 300,000 migrants — which he described as a “conservative” estimate — evaded Border Patrol agents in the current fiscal year for the federal government, which ends in October.

“[We’ve seen] 300,000 got-aways this fiscal year,” he said “That’s shattering all records. That’s 300,000 individuals that have snuck into the country, gotten past, our front-line defenders, and made their way to every town, city, and state.”

Illegal immigration affects the entire country, Morgan warned.

He stated, “What happens on the southwest border does not stay at the Southwest border. The illegal aliens — right now, [by] this administration — are being released into the United States and being flown to every state in this country.”

Morgan said the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is not screening migrants for coronavirus.

He said, “DHS, up to this point, is not doing anything with respect to COVID. They’re not testing. They’re sure as heck not giving out vaccines.”

The Biden administration has released about 300,000 unaccompanied minors, Morgan shared.

“I’m being conservative when I say this administration has released around 300,000 … unaccompanied minors, as well as families into the country. … They’re not testing the families, not a single one,” he added.

Morgan highlighted how lawful travelers — both U.S. and Mexican citizens — seeking access to the U.S. across ports of entry along the southern border are subjected to greater travel restrictions than migrants illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.

He concluded, “Right now, a family can walk up — illegally enter our borders — walk up to a Border Patrol agent, a family of four [or] five and say, ‘Hey, I just walked into your country, and oh, by the way, we all have COVID.’ Guess what they’re going to [say] under this administration? ‘No problem, come on in, we’re going to release you into the interior of the United States.'”

Mayorkas Offers Work Permits to Chinese from Hong Kong

Migrants arrives at the West Railway Station with their luggage on February 2, 2009 in Beijing, China. Homeland security chief Alejandro Mayorkas is offering temporary residency and work permits to people who claim to be victims of China’s oppression in Hong Kong.

“Today, President [Joe] Biden issued a memorandum directing the Department of Homeland Security [DHS] to take appropriate measures to defer for 18 months the removal for Hong Kong residents presently in the United States,” the August 5 statement said.

Because of the directive, “DHS will temporarily defer removal for eligible individuals. [And they] may also seek employment authorization through U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services,” the statement said.

The offer of “Deferred Enforcement Departure” is a “reckless decision by the Biden administration,” responded Rob Law, the director of regulatory affairs and policy for the Center for Immigration Studies.

“There’s very little confidence that nefarious members of the Chinese Communist Party in the United States are not going to try to disguise themselves as a qualified persons from Hong Kong, and we will literally be allowing the enemy to operate from within,” he said, adding that under Mayorkas’ direction, “we don’t want to screen anybody anymore.”

Law, who served as a top official at the visa-screeing agency — the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency — under then-President Donald Trump, explained:

I would not feel confident that we will have the ability to verify that those are legitimate documents. How are you going to validate them? [If you try] You’re going to have to ask the officials from Hong Kong which is now under the Chinese Communist Party.  When [you get] fraudulent documents, you’re gonna get an affirmation that they’re actually legitimate … Given the complete animosity that the Biden administration has towards proper screening and vetting, bad actors are going to slip through the cracks here.

Their philosophy is [that] it is better to err on the side of giving out an immigration benefit to an ineligible alien than for someone to possibly miss out on something that they might be eligible.

The announcement is unneeded because there are other ways to protect people from Hong Kong who do not want to return to the communist-controlled city.

“There are all sorts of other avenues available that don’t open the door for fraud and abuse online .. they could apply for asylum, they could apply for an extension of stay in their current immigration status, they could apply for a change of status to a different non-immigrant category,” he said.

The hidden purpose, he said, “is just to create yet another population” of work-ready migrants, he said.

Mayorkas is using his agency power over the border rules to open many new doorways for foreign migrants, including migrants with no plausible legal claim to work permits in the United States.

For example, Mayorkas is offering Venezuelan migrants work permits through the Temporary Protect Status (TPS) program if they meet a Setempber 2022 deadline. He has also offered TPS and work permits to 100,000 Haitians.

Under his oversight, roughly 700,000 migrants have crossed the Mexican border, and more are being flown from Central American cities to join other migrants in the United States.

Mayorkas is expanding the U Visa program, which provides work permits and green cards to people who claim they are victims of crime.

The Department of Justice is also revising asylum rules so Mayorkas’s deputies can offer citizenship to migrants who claim their home-country governments do not protect them from spousal abuse or routine crime.

The Cuban-born Mayorkas is an immigration zealot who grew up, graduated, and worked in California as a prosecutor during the 1990s. His support for migration is backed up by business groups.

Overall, investors and business coalitions want to import more migrants — even impoverished, ill, aging, or criminal migrants — because the migrants spike consumer sales, boost rental rates, cut wages, minimize management hassles, and so raise profits and stock values. The migrants also serve as clients for Democrat-run welfare agencies, and eventually, as voters for Democratic candidates.

But migration damages ordinary Americans’ career opportunities, cuts their wages, raises their rents, curbs their productivity, shrinks their political clout, and fractures their open-minded, equality-promoting civic culture.

Amid Mayorkas’ inflow of migrants, the “median weekly earnings of the nation’s 113.6 million full-time wage and salary workers were $990 in the second quarter of 2021 … 1.2 percent lower than a year earlier,” Breitbart reported July 16.

The economic extraction of valuable consumers, renters, and workers from poor countries also helps move wealth — and social status — from heartland red states to the coastal blue states. The extraction policy also helps move wealth and status from GOP rural districts to Democrat cities within each state.

In general, legal and illegal migration moves wealth from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to investors, from technology to stoop labor.

Jobless Claims Notch Down to 400,000 as Layoffs Persist at Elevated Levels

The jobs market’s progress appears to have stalled, with jobless claims repeatedly coming in at high levels and no longer steadily declining as they did this spring.

New claims for unemployment benefits fell to 400,000 in the week ended July 24, 24,000 below the upwardly revised figure for the previous week.

This is the ninth consecutive week in which new claims, which are a proxy for layoffs, have been reported in a range between 365,000 and 425,000. The four-week average of claims is 394,000, an incease of 8,000 from the previous week’s range.

The lack of progress in claims is something of a mystery to many analysts. Many employers have complained that they cannot find enough workers and yet hundreds of thousands of workers appear to be losing their jobs every week.

Continuing claims for July 17 rose to 3,269,000, an increase of 7,000 from the previous week’s revised level. Continuing claims get reported with a one week delay. The 4-week moving average was 3,290,750, a decrease of 53,750 from the previous week’s revised average. This is the lowest level for this average since March 21, 2020.

The federal government launched a variety of new programs to extend unemployment benefits to those normally not eligible. These get reported with a three-week delay. The total number of continued weeks claimed for benefits in all programs for the week ending July 10 was 13,156,252, an increase of 582,403 from the previous week.

Homeland Insecurity for Conservatives

The Department of Homeland Security was created in the wake of the 9/11 attacks for the purpose of protecting America against terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda.  It was not intended to spy on ordinary Americans or track their political affiliations.  But now DHS seems to be spending as much time tracking and prosecuting "domestic terrorism" as it does foreign terrorists and actual criminals, including those gang members who are crossing our southern border every day.  That's the same border that Kamala Harris is in charge of.

An official at DHS stated in May 2021 that "domestic violent extremism poses the most lethal, persistent terrorism-related threat to our homeland today" — that in connection with a new program of monitoring extremism on public social media.  DHS is going to be collecting and analyzing social media data in an effort to identify possible threats.  That seems straightforward enough, except that one often discovers what one is looking for, and recent history suggests that government is tracking conservatives more closely than radical groups like Antifa.

On July 1, in one of many such actions, DHS predicted "increased activity" by what it calls "rightwing groups."  It is mystifying how the department could make this prediction, especially since no such highly public prediction was made in regard to those terrorist groups that actually have stated their intention to harm us.  Those groups, like Iran's Revolutionary Guards, seem to get a pass, but ordinary Americans become targets for bureaucrats who believe that the "biggest terrorism threat" comes from "individuals and small groups in the U.S."

Contrary to those, like the ACLU, who question the right of DHS to collect information on American citizens, I believe that government agencies do have the right to collect whatever information they need to avert violence.  But unlike many in these agencies, I also believe that these efforts must be even-handed.  Conservatives who are actually conspiring to commit illegal actions should be prosecuted, but so should those on the left who plot violence.

None of that seems to be happening.  As Charles Marino writes, during summer 2020, "protests by Black Lives Matter ... became associated with the destruction of cities, attacks on law enforcement and other forms of violence."  Yet how many of those responsible for this violence were ever prosecuted and jailed?  One has to question whether the same standards are applied to BLM, Antifa, and other groups on the left.  In my view, all who engage in violence or conspire to commit it should be prosecuted equally.

Americans must never relinquish their rights to free speech, but there are limits to expression.  In our democracy, one has the right to speak freely, to criticize the government and its leaders, and even to express radical views so long as one does not advocate violence.  Government does not have the right to track speech that is legal and within bounds.  The danger is that government, with its power to judge what constitutes "extreme" expression, may be monitoring the wrong groups.

DHS needs to be extremely careful to avoid gathering information on lawful citizens.  There is not, as some at DHS believe, a "close proximity between constitutionally protected speech ... and the threat of violence."  Constitutionally protected speech is entirely different from speech that incites violence, and one would expect high-level DHS officials to know this.  DHS was created in order to protect Americans from those who do not recognize this difference, but now it appears that some of those may be working at DHS itself.

DHS may be confused as to what its mission is.  At the center of current DHS policy is Alejandro Mayorkas, a person who has worked in government or government-related jobs, mostly located in Washington, D.C., for his entire life.  Are his ideas concerning "rightwing groups" connected with the fact that he grew up in Beverly Hills, attended Beverly Hills High School, and graduated from U.C. Berkeley?  True, one can hardly expect a person who has lived only in Beverly Hills, Berkeley, and Washington to have a very sophisticated understanding of heartland values.  Perhaps that is why DHS is so quick to accuse conservatives of extremism.

Part of this bias is the notion that left-wing violence is committed by "decentralized" groups like Antifa, while right-wing actions like the Jan. 6 protests were "coordinated" and "insurrectionary."  In fact, thousands of protesters do not show up without some sort of coordination: in the era of social media, Antifa and the Proud Boys are equally "coordinated."  The idea that left-wing violence is decentralized and thus less of a threat is extremely dubious.

Ironically, Mayorkas was in charge of DHS's Citizenship and Immigration Services unit under President Obama from 2009 to 2013, a period that saw a surge in illegal immigration and in criminals such as MS-13 gang members crossing our border.  Unrestricted immigration always brings with it an increase in violent crime, terrorism, and drug importation — just the sort of activities that DHS ought to be investigating and blocking.  Failure to secure the border simply abets crime and terrorism.

Shouldn't DHS spend more time securing our borders than tracking legal citizens who may entertain what it considers extreme views?  According to ICE, the total number of criminal illegal aliens stands at 1.9 million, about 16 percent of the officially recognized illegal alien population.  (Of course, all illegal aliens are criminals by virtue of their having crossed the border illegally, but ICE tabulates those who have committed other crimes.)  Surely these criminal illegal aliens pose a greater threat than the swaggering of native extremists, some of which may be simply letting off steam.  After all, one motto heard among MS-13 members is "kill, rape, control."  Why isn't Homeland Security more effective in protecting Americans against these and other gang members instead of letting them in?

A percentage of the 30 million illegals who may be here are members of criminal gangs, and the numbers may be much larger than government wants us to believe.  In many places, Americans live every day in fear of these gangs, and for good reason.  In the midst of crime waves in many cities, senior citizens are afraid to venture outside their homes, and even at home they do not feel safe.  Meanwhile, Biden minimizes the numbers and denies that a "crime wave" exists — this despite a near doubling of violent crime in many large cities this year.

There are an estimated 10,000 MS-13 gang members in the US, but this is only a fraction of the number of illegal alien gang members in our country.  It is difficult to obtain accurate numbers because search results are buried beneath articles claiming that "nondocumented" criminal activity is less prevalent than "native" criminal activity.  (The same apparent manipulation of search results takes place when one googles "crime wave.")  Progressives are going to great lengths to obscure the truth that illegals do commit violent crimes, that the borders are in fact wide open, and that a crime wave is sweeping across America.

Instead, progressives including Joe Biden focus on "right-wing groups."  DHS officials have stated that domestic extremism is more of a threat than foreign terrorism or even than gangs such as MS-13.  DHS was created for the purpose of combatting foreign terrorism, but somehow under Biden it is evolving into an agency that tracks conservatives on social media and focuses on domestic extremism.  That mistake needs to be corrected while we still have the freedom to do so.

The Bullying of Pro-Lifers Continues Under HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra

In a "we told you so" move, Health & Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra is abandoning the conscience protections of a nurse, who, when she worked at the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) was forced to assist with an abortion. The nurse said she was told by the doctor "please don't hate me."

The elective abortion--which the nurse initially believed was a follow-up procedure to a miscarriage she was assisting with--took place in 2017. The nurse filed a complaint in 2018 with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at HHS.

UVMMC was found to be in violation of federal law known as the Church Amendments, which were unanimously passed by Congress in 1973.

However, in writing for National ReviewRoger Severino, who was the director of OCR during the Trump administration, discussed how the Department of Justice dropped the lawsuit last Friday. This is despite how Severino said it "was the most open and shut conscience case in over a decade."

When it comes to the assurances he made during his confirmation hearings--ultimately false--that Becerra would uphold the law, Severino had this to say:

It was a lie. All of it. And Congress must hold him accountable for it. I cannot understate how unusual it is for DOJ and HHS to drop a duly authorized lawsuit after it has been investigated and filed, while getting literally nothing in return. The government strenuously avoids doing such a thing because it calls into question the consistent expectations of the law, reeks of politics, and exposes the government to potential liability for attorney’s fees under the Equal Access to Justice Act. Without so much as a slap on the wrist, this was a clear favor to abortion special interests and a spit in the face of not only the victim in the case, but the many medical professionals who have suffered conscience violations through the years and will continue to suffer, but now with little hope of recourse from their government.

In his reporting on the dismissal for Fox News, Sam Dorman included various statements from relevant parties:

An HHS spokesperson told Fox News on Tuesday: "After a detailed evaluation of the underlying legal theory used to issue a referral to the Department of Justice, the Department of Health and Human Services withdrew the original referral and requested DOJ dismiss the suit against the University of Vermont Medical Center, a request which was granted. In line with this, HHS removed the Notice of Violation issued against UVMCC last Friday. HHS continues to evaluate the underlying facts of the matter and notified all the parties about its actions last Friday."

...

Former administration officials are describing the move as unprecedented and a dereliction of duty.

"Its a dereliction of duty that is an insult to the bipartisan consensus that says you cannot force people to assist in abortions," said Roger Severino, the former head of Health and Human Services' Office of Civil Rights (OCR). Severino had referred the case to the Justice Department after an apparent delay within the department.

...

Both Severino and John Daukas, who served as former acting assistant attorney general for civil rights under Trump, told Fox News the move was a stark departure from normal practice.

"It's very hard to understand how anybody could support forcing someone to perform an abortion, who thinks that they're killing an innocent life," said Daukas.

"I think that's just outrageous, and I can't believe the Justice Department dropped the lawsuit. Setting the morality aside, the law is clear," he said. He was referring to the Church amendment, which was passed after the landmark decision in Roe v. Wade.

Severino has had more to say since then, according to Dorman.

Becerra's other forms of bullying against pro-lifers have been heavily documented.

As Severino summed it up in his piece for National Review:

For those unaware, Becerra may be the most notorious violator of conscience laws in recent years. He even lost a Supreme Court case with his name on it, NIFLA v. Becerra, after he tried to coerce pro-life pregnancy-resource centers into violating their consciences by forcing them to refer mothers in search of life-affirming alternatives to free abortion services. Becerra was twice found in violation of conscience-protection laws by HHS’s Conscience and Religious Freedom Division, but now he is in charge of the entire agency. The fox is running the hen house.

President Joe Biden and Sec. Becerra are both Catholics, and Church teaching is abundantly clear on its opposition to abortion. Biden has been hailed as a "devout Catholic" by the media, with Becerra serving as a co-chair for Catholics for Biden for the 2020 election.

Sean Parnell Urges ‘Full Investigation’ into Allegations Pitt Harvested Unborn Baby Organs While Hearts Still Beating

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sean Parnell called for a “full investigation” Thursday into allegations the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) has been harvesting the organs of unborn babies while their hearts are still beating.

Parnell, a decorated combat veteran and author who announced his bid in May for Pennsylvania’s 2022 Senate seat to be vacated by retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R), referred to the documents obtained by legal watchdog group Judicial Watch.

The documents, obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, detailed the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) grant of $3.2 million to Pitt to achieve its goal of becoming a fetal tissue collection site that could quickly harvest the organs of full-term aborted babies.

Parnell described the allegations as “nauseating” in a statement posted to his campaign’s Twitter account:

Allegations that officials at the University of Pittsburgh were harvesting kidneys of unborn babies while they still had a heartbeat is absolutely nauseating. This goes far beyond the scope of being pro-life and pro-choice. This is an issue of good vs. evil. There needs to be a full investigation into these allegations. If there is any truth to them, people need to be fired, funding needs to be suspended, and criminal charges must be brought.

Judicial Watch and the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) announced Tuesday the receipt of 252 pages of documents from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which oversees NIH, the nation’s medical research agency.

A press release by Judicial Watch noted the documents revealed taxpayer funds were spent on Pitt’s quest to become a “Tissue Hub,” for the harvesting of tissue and organs of aborted babies of 6-42 weeks gestation.

“The NIH grant application for just one of Pitt’s numerous experiments with aborted infants reads like an episode of American Horror Story,” said CMP project lead David Daleiden about the documents obtained via the FOIA request, adding:

Infants in the womb, some old enough to be viable, are being aborted alive and killed for organ harvesting, in order to bring in millions of dollars in taxpayer funding for Pitt and the Planned Parenthood abortion business it supports. People are outraged by such disregard for the lives of the vulnerable. Law enforcement and public officials should act immediately to bring the next Kermit Gosnell to justice under the law.

In May, CMP released a video that alleged NIH uses taxpayer funds to sponsor experimentation at Pitt on aborted babies obtained from a local Planned Parenthood facility.

Judicial Watch noted the current documents revealed Pitt’s proposal also indicated the school said it had been “collecting fetal tissue for over 10 years … includ[ing] liver, heart, gonads, legs, brain, genitourinary tissues including kidneys, ureters and bladders,” and that in 2015 Pitt had already “disbursed over 300 fresh samples collected from 77 cases,” anticipating its collections “can be significantly ramped up as material could have been accrued from as many as 725 cases last year.”

The documents also revealed, stated Judicial Watch, that Pitt records the “warm ischemic time on our samples and take steps to keep it at a minimum to ensure the highest quality biological specimens.”

In another news release, CMP stated Pitt admitted “ischemic time refers to the time after the tissue collection procedure.”

“This means the organs are still receiving blood supply from the fetal heartbeat during the ‘tissue collection,’” CMP noted.

FIGHT THESE 'GOOD CATHOLICS' PELOSI AND GRIFTER JOE BIDEN FOR THE LIVES OF THE UNBORN.

“These documents show taxpayer money is being used to turn the University of Pittsburgh [into] a one-stop human fetal tissue shop – from procuring the tissue from elective abortions, ‘subdividing’ the human remains, to distributing and shipping the harvested tissue,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Report: Sex-Selective Abortions Will Eliminate 4.7 Million Girls by 2030

The elimination of baby girls through sex-selective abortions will lead to an increase in the gender gap by 4.7 million over the next nine years, according to a report Wednesday in MedicalNewsToday.

The current widening of the gender gap at the expense of girls is added to the estimated 45 million “missing” female births between 1970 and 2017 as a consequence of sex-selective abortions, the report stated.

“Skewed levels of the sex ratio at birth (SRB) due to sex-selective abortions have been observed in several countries since the 1970s,” declares an August 4 study published in BMJ Global Health. “They will lead to long-term sex imbalances in more than one-third of the world’s population with yet unknown social and economic impacts on affected countries.”

“Sex-selective abortions, the main mechanism behind sex selection, have been observed across a range of various countries from Southeast Europe to South and East Asia,” the study found “They lead to a hike in the sex ratio at birth (SRB; namely the ratio of male to female live births) above its natural (biological) level and to the emergence of a surplus of male births.”

Along with excess female mortality, “this SRB inflation is now a major contributor to the ‘missing women’, a concept first described by Sen to refer to a population with much fewer females than males,” it declares.

The study notes that prenatal sex selection accounts for “about half” of the recent deficit of females in the world during the previous decades, adding that a male-biased sex structure in a society “could lead to demographic issues such as marriage squeeze with lack of marriageable females.”

“Fewer-than-expected females in a population could result in elevated levels of antisocial behaviour and violence, and may ultimately affect long-term stability and social sustainable development,” it adds.

The study also cites a 2020 report by the United Nations Population Fund that deemed the bias in favor of male children “a symptom of entrenched gender inequality, which harms whole societies.”

“The preference for sons over daughters may be so pronounced in some societies that couples will go to great lengths to avoid giving birth to a girl or will fail to care for the health and well-being of a daughter they already have in favour of their son,” the U.N. declared.

As Breitbart News reported in 2015, China has been trafficking young girls from Vietnam to be sold as wives in an effort to compensate for the dearth of Chinese women of marriage age due to sex-selective abortions.

According to reports, Vietnamese villages near the Chinese border have become a hunting ground for people smugglers, where girls as young as 13 are trapped, drugged or lured under false pretenses and then trafficked across the border.

Chinese men are willing to pay upwards of $3,000 for a Vietnamese bride because the cultural similarities between the two countries make the women especially desirable, the report noted.

As a consequence of 40 years of its draconian one-child (now “two-child”) policy, China has the greatest gender imbalance of any country in the world, with the number of eligible males of marrying age outnumber their female counterparts by some 30 million.

Since most Chinese couples prefer having a son, many abort their baby girls in the hope that the next child will be a boy. This practice has radically skewed China’s gender ratio, leaving a significant deficiency of women vis-à-vis men.

“Sex-selective abortion is the ultimate violence against females,” said Reggie Littlejohn, President of Women’s Rights Without Frontiers. “Aborting a baby just because she is a girl is the ultimate act of gender discrimination.”

Government-Funded Researchers Sought Aborted Minorities for Organ Harvesting

The federal government gave at least $2.7 million in taxpayer money to researchers who sought out minority babies who had been aborted in order to harvest their organs, according to internal documents released Tuesday.

The University of Pittsburgh targeted minorities in its request for infant organs—including those taken from full-term babies—to create a "pipeline" for fetal research. Researchers said they needed 50 percent of the donated fetuses to be minorities and specified that 25 percent must come from black women. The Pittsburgh metropolitan area is 85 percent white and 8 percent black. Researchers stressed the importance of maintaining organ blood flow in the request, which watchdogs say could violate federal law by asking doctors to illegally preserve organs during labor-inducing abortions.

The National Institutes of Health has overseen experiments on fetal organs at the University of Pittsburgh since 2015 in what the school claimed to be a "tissue hub." Aborted babies used in this research ranged from 6 to 42 weeks of gestation, according to government documents. The grant request from the university to the government agency redacts key information, including how many fetuses were obtained and who provided them. Its language, however, raised troubling questions.

David Daleiden, founder and president of the pro-life Center for Medical Progress, called on the federal government to investigate the NIH and Pitt after obtaining more than 300 pages of information related to the program through a public records request.

"The experiments with aborted infants at the University of Pittsburgh, sponsored by the NIH, are like Kermit Gosnell's house of horrors, but this time funded by the federal government," Daleiden told the Washington Free Beacon. "It was systemic bias and abortion extremism that permitted Gosnell to evade the law for so long, and the same thing is happening in Pittsburgh. These atrocities deserve the full response of law enforcement and government officials—law enforcement should put a stop to it and arrest the perpetrators."

The NIH did not respond to a request for comment.

The fetal research focused on harvested kidneys. The University of Pittsburgh said fetuses should have minimized "warm ischemic time"—a medical term to describe the time that an organ is without blood flow. It also lists "labor induction" as a utilized abortion procedure to obtain the organs.

"There’s the distinct possibility that some of these babies are born alive and then their organs and tissues are removed," Dr. David Prentice, vice president and research director of the pro-life Charlotte Lozier Institute, told the Free Beacon. "This is horrific—almost medieval. It is certainly antiquated science."

Federal law bans the purchasing of aborted fetuses, which must be donated for research. It is illegal to request how donated fetuses are to be aborted. A university spokesman said researchers played no role in the "timing, method, or procedures used to terminate the pregnancy."

"In this case, ischemia time refers to the time after the tissue collection procedure and before cooling for storage and transport. It does not have an impact on how the procedure is performed, which is always at the discretion of the attending physician," the university said in an email.

The spokesman also said "projects funded by the National Institutes of Health must ensure appropriate inclusion of women and minorities" and that the study's racial distribution was appropriate. One of the study's goals, he said, was "to support researchers looking for treatments and cures for kidney disease," which disproportionately afflicts minorities.

Federal officials released the records 17 months after Daleiden's initial request—and only after the activist enlisted the help of attorneys with the government watchdog Judicial Watch. Meredith Di Liberto, the lead attorney on the case, said further information about the program is required to find definitive proof of illegal behavior, but the redactions leave many unanswered questions.

"We keep getting this pushback that ‘Oh, it’s not illegal'—but it’s all done behind closed doors with redactions," Di Liberto told the Free Beacon. "If this is all legit, why did we have to fight so hard to get a document, and when we get them, they’re redacted? Why did we have to go to court to see who’s paying for this?"

The University of Pittsburgh has been involved in fetal organ research for more than a decade. It conducted an experiment in 2020 that implanted the scalps of aborted fetuses onto lab mice in a study that was funded by Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. The grant proposal boasts of the institution's experience handling a variety of fetal organs, including the liver, heart, legs, brain, kidneys, and bladders. The university outlined its goal of becoming a "pipeline" for fetal organ research, which would mean not only conducting this research but providing organs for other institutions to experiment on.

"You see words like ‘we have a sample' and ‘subdivided,' and it's like, well, we’re talking about a human being," Di Liberto told the Free Beacon. "It’s a little Frankenstein-ish"

Terry Schilling, president of the American Principles Project, said voters must hold their representatives accountable to ensure government funding goes nowhere near experiments on aborted fetuses.

"This latest discovery that millions of taxpayer dollars have apparently been funding this same barbaric practice through NIH is nothing short of outrageous and should profoundly trouble the conscience of every American," Schilling told the Free Beacon. "Congress should act to ensure that any future funding of NIH be explicitly barred from going toward such inhumane practices, and any lawmaker who opposes such action should be forced to answer for it to their voters."

The documents redacted the identity of the provider, but the university has longstanding partnerships with Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania as a "contracted care site" and shares some senior-level staffers. Dr. Beatrice Chen, for example, serves as both the medical director for Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania and the director of family planning at the University of Pittsburgh. Local Planned Parenthood staffers admitted to providing aborted fetuses to the University of Pittsburgh in an undercover video released by the Center for Medical Progress in 2019. Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania has denied that any of their three facilities participate in fetal organ donation programs.

‘American Horror Story’: Feds Pay for Full-Term Aborted Baby Parts

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) granted $3.2 million in federal funds to the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) to achieve its goal of becoming a fetal tissue collection site that could quickly harvest the organs of full-term aborted babies, according to documents obtained as part of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit.

Judicial Watch and the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) announced Tuesday the receipt of 252 pages of documents from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which oversees NIH, the nation’s medical research agency.

According to a press release by Judicial Watch, which represents CMP in its lawsuit against HHS, the documents reveal the taxpayer funds were spent on Pitt’s quest to become a “Tissue Hub,” for the harvesting of tissue and organs of aborted babies of 6-42 weeks gestation.

“The NIH grant application for just one of Pitt’s numerous experiments with aborted infants reads like an episode of American Horror Story,” said CMP project lead David Daleiden about the documents obtained via the FOIA request.

Daleiden, who conducted undercover investigations of Planned Parenthood’s alleged fetal tissue trafficking with biomedical procurement companies, elaborated:

Infants in the womb, some old enough to be viable, are being aborted alive and killed for organ harvesting, in order to bring in millions of dollars in taxpayer funding for Pitt and the Planned Parenthood abortion business it supports. People are outraged by such disregard for the lives of the vulnerable. Law enforcement and public officials should act immediately to bring the next Kermit Gosnell to justice under the law.

In May, CMP released a video that alleged NIH uses taxpayer funds to sponsor experimentation at Pitt on aborted babies obtained from a local Planned Parenthood facility.

Judicial Watch noted the current documents revealed Pitt’s goal was to use the taxpayer grant funds to:

Develop a pipeline to the acquisition, quality control and distribution of human genitourinary [urinary and genital organs and functions] samples obtained throughout development (6-42 weeks gestation). … [and] generate an ongoing resource to distribute fresh developmental human genitourinary samples from various stages (6-42 weeks) to the GUDMAP [GenitoUrinary Development Molecular Anatomy Project] Atlas projects.

Pitt’s proposal also indicated the school asserted it had been “collecting fetal tissue for over 10 years … includ[ing] liver, heart, gonads, legs, brain, genitourinary tissues including kidneys, ureters and bladders,” Judicial Watch reported, adding the university said in 2015 it had already “disbursed over 300 fresh samples collected from 77 cases,” and envisioned its collections “can be significantly ramped up as material could have been accrued from as many as 725 cases last year.”

The documents also reveal, stated Judicial Watch, that Pitt records the “warm ischemic time on our samples and take steps to keep it at a minimum to ensure the highest quality biological specimens.”

“Pitt’s statement suggests the time between the abortion and collection is minimal,” Judicial Watch explained, adding the university also included a “racial target for harvesting of human fetal parts.”

“Of its planned aborted ‘subjects’ Pitt desired 50% to be minority fetuses,” the legal watchdog group said. “The proposal suggests that the ‘subjects’ be diverse because Pittsburgh is diverse, the U.S. Census Bureau shows the city of Pittsburgh is close to 70% white.”

In its grant application proposal, Pitt also gave a target goal of having “available a minimum of 5 cases (tissues and if possible other biologicals) per week of gestational age for ages 6-42 weeks.”

According to Judicial Watch, the documents show NIH had already granted Pitt at least $2.7 million for its human fetal tissue harvesting activities.

Texas Dem Leads Charge Against Biden’s Mail-Order Abortion Regs

Lawmakers push for penalties against companies that ship abortion drugs directly to homes

A Texas Democrat is leading the charge to outlaw mail-order abortions after the Biden administration made the controversial decision to legalize the practice.

State senator Eddie Lucio (D.) is sponsoring legislation to enact criminal penalties against companies and individuals who ship abortion drugs directly to women by mail. Federal regulators overturned a long-standing prohibition against abortion by mail in April, prompting pushback from pro-life lawmakers at the state level.

"The federal government has chosen not to enforce its regulations. … It will allow access to these drugs through the mail, and that is a major concern to me and to many people," Lucio told the Washington Free Beacon. "Our thought here with this legislation is that pharmaceutical companies would not be able to mail the patient, or the woman, what we consider dangerous abortion pills."

According to Lucio, there are major safety concerns with mail-order abortion. Women who face complications after consuming the lethal drugs could find themselves alone, rather than in the presence of doctors and nurses.

"I wouldn't want two deaths instead of one. It's bad enough that there will be an abortion, to also lose the mother will be catastrophic," Lucio said. "I'm trying to save the life of the mother at this point by not having her be able to receive these dangerous abortion pills over the mail."

Republican governor Greg Abbott asked lawmakers to make the ban on abortion by mail a top legislative priority when he convened a special legislative session that has mainly drawn attention for voting reform measures. Republicans have spearheaded the effort in the House, while Lucio joined a bipartisan group of lawmakers to sponsor identical legislation in the state Senate.

Abbott has signed a number of pro-life bills into law, including a measure that bans abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected.

"Governor Abbott supports legislation that ensures that the life of every child with a heartbeat will be spared from the ravages of abortion," Abbott spokeswoman Renae Eze told the Free Beacon.

Texas pro-life groups praised lawmakers for coming together in a bipartisan fashion. Joe Pojman, executive director of Texas Alliance for Life, said the criminal penalties are necessary checks against bad actors taking advantage of vulnerable women.

"We think the time is right for this to happen," Pojman told the Free Beacon. "We are very afraid that illegal mail-order abortions could become commonplace in Texas, and we think that the criminal penalties are going to help mitigate that problem."

In the last several years, chemical abortions have become the most common form of abortion in Texas. Pojman estimates that 28,000 chemical abortions were carried out in Texas in 2020 and that number could rise dramatically if pharmaceutical companies are allowed to bypass doctors and ship directly to women.

"We think that is a grave mistake," Pojman said.

Many House Democrats fled Texas in an unsuccessful bid to block voting reforms, but the state Senate has carried out its legislative procedure without interruption. Lucio expects a vote on his bill before the end of the session and expects it to pass easily through heavy GOP majorities.
