There it is.  That's the issue.  To begin, you have the corrupt family Biden.  They've been scamming us and our system well for almost fifty years.  The man is supposedly worth over 250 million dollars.  How is this possible on his salary?  It's not.  So where did his wealth come from?  Not from being a brilliant businessman. DAVID PRENTICE

Schweizer: ‘It’s Going to Be Business as Usual’ for Hunter’s Dealings

https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2021/01/20/schweizer-its-going-to-be-business-as-usual-for-hunters-dealings/

Joe Biden, the corrupt, unaccomplished 47-year career politician, with a reputation of having been a proud segregationist, an unabashed plagiarist and liar, a resolute tale-teller, and a serial flip-flopper, is pretending to head up a radical social-democratic ticket for President of the United States that includes as his running mate the ambitious, disagreeable junior senator from California: Kamala Harris.

Joe Biden didn’t do anything wrong? A time-honored method of taking bribes is having them paid to a family member, usually in exchange for nominal or nonexistent services. It is comical to watch “reporters” pretend not to understand this.

 MONICA SHOWALTER

There’s also the little problem of Hillary’s incredible corruption (making her and Biden birds of a feather). And of course, the fact that Hillary’s unsecure server damaged national security in a way that would have seen an ordinary, politically unconnected person spend the rest of her life in prison—which, not coincidentally, is where Papa Joe belongs for using his debauched son Hunter as the bagman for decades of anti-American corruption

                                                                    ANDREA WIDBURG

“Protect and enrich.” This is a perfect encapsulation of the Clinton Foundation and the Obama book and television deals. Then there is the Biden family corruption, followed closely behind by similar abuses of power and office by the Warren and Sanders families, as Peter Schweizer described in his recent book “Profiles in Corruption.” These names just scratch the surface of government corruption.    BRIAN C JOONDEPH

What’s really baffling is Hunter’s success with women. Despite being a total loser with a terrible drug habit and some weird sexual perversions, Hunter managed to seduce his brother’s widow, her sister, a stripper, and the woman he married, all over the course of four years. It’s enough to make one think that Hunter’s charm had less to do with the man himself and more with the benefits flowing from the Biden family cartel.   ANDREA WIDBERG

As a senator, Biden vigorously voted for several similar bills. In short, based on his voting record, Joe Biden is not (and never was) a champion of disadvantaged Americans, unless you consider multi-billion-dollar credit card corporations and millionaires “disadvantaged.” Chris Talgo

Nancy Pelosi, a horrid woman equally as without heart and soul, on Tuesday refused to have the names of the thirteen soldiers killed in Kabul read out on the floor of the House.  That should permanently indict her for being the wicked witch she is.  She is more devious, more calculating than the irresponsible Biden but every bit as beyond redemption as he is.  She will do anything to try to convince the American people, for whom she has only contempt, that whatever she and her party do is righteous no matter how loathsome and totalitarian.      PATRICIA McCARTHY

Biden lied about his undergraduate degree and his majors, lied about his rank in law school, lied aboutscholarships and educational aid he had  received, lied about his stance toward the Vietnam  war while in college, lied about his plagiarism of  other politician's writings and speeches, lied about  the circumstances around his first wife's fatal  accident, lied about how he met his second and  current wife, and lied about the affair they were having when they were both married.         MARK CHRISTIAN

Most recently and dramatically, Biden lied about his knowledge of his son's shady dealings,  lied about his own involvement in corruption and ribery, and lied about his current presidential agenda and what he wants to implement in regards to energy, fracking, court-packing, health care, education, and COVID among other issues.

Blue State Blues: The Political Corruption of the DOJ

Attorney General Merrick Garland listens during a meeting of the COVID-19 Fraud Enforcement Task Force at the Justice Department, March 10, 2022 in Washington. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Garland on Wednesday, March 16, for the first time convened a multilateral task force known as REPO, short for Russian Elites, …

The Department of Justice (DOJ) was reported this week to have begun a criminal investigation of former President Donald Trump in connection with his effort to contest the 2020 election.

Also this week, the DOJ was accused of having spiked its own investigation of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, based on false clams that reports of his misconduct were just “disinformation.” And last week, the DOJ convinced a D.C. jury to convict Stephen K. Bannon, a Trump associate and former Breitbart News executive chairman, for contempt of Congress.

Notably, the DOJ declined to prosecute past left-wing offenders for the same crime — such as Lois Lerner, the former IRS official who targeted conservative groups; and former Attorney General Eric Holder, who refused to provide Congress with information about Operation Fast & Furious, a gunrunning fiasco that led to the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

And few at DOJ were punished for the “Russia collusion” hoax, a partisan operation that involved lying to the FISA court.

We are witnessing the transformation of the DOJ into an arm of the Democratic Party.

There have always been a few partisan prosecutors, but the political corruption began in earnest under President Barack Obama, who declined to prosecute members of the New Black Panther Party for voter intimidation; gave millions of dollars to left-wing groups from DOJ fines; and imposed DOJ consent decrees on police in Democrat-run cities to appease Black Lives Matter.

In 2016, the DOJ attempted to influence the presidential election in several ways — first, by declining to prosecute former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in open-and-shut cases of mishandling classified information; second, by investigating Trump for “Russia collusion”; and third, by trying to sanitize the anticipated Hillary Clinton presidency by reopening the inquiry into her emails — a move that backfired spectacularly.

The “Russia collusion” probe continued into the Trump era, fueling efforts to undo the results of a democratic election, and arguably denting Trump’s ability to conduct foreign policy.

Throughout the left-wing riots that gripped the country in 2020, the DOJ was remarkably passive. Attorney General William Barr directed law enforcement on the streets of D.C. as Black Lives Matter and Antifa attacked the White House, but FBI Director Christopher Wray led efforts to deny that Antifa was a threat, insisting it was an “ideology,” not an organization.

The DOJ seemed to shrug at the riots that raged in 48 out of 50 major U.S. cities. And it dithered for years after Hunter Biden’s influence-peddling came to light. The FBI did nothing about his laptop, which it seemed to have seized in 2019 to cover up the story rather than to follow up on evidence of corruption at the highest level.

But after the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, the DOJ prosecuted participants aggressively even for minor offenses, and detained non-violent suspects for months.

Now comes the news that Trump is being investigated by the DOJ in connection with January 6 — reportedly for “seditious conspiracy and conspiracy to obstruct a government proceeding” and “potential fraud associated with the false-electors scheme” or efforts to pressure officials to claim the election was fraudulent.

The timing of the news gave undue legitimacy to the January 6 Committee, a one-sided, arguably unlawful and unconstitutional show trial with obvious political motivations.

The DOJ inquiry is supposedly independent of the January 6 Committee, but there have already been reports that the DOJ has asked the Committee to hand over transcripts of witness depositions — given behind closed doors, and with few of the basic protections they would ordinarily have in a criminal inquiry.

In effect, the DOJ appears to have deputized the committee to carry out its own law enforcement functions — a violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers and the Bill of Rights.

After months of investigation, and more than 1,000 witnesses, the committee turned up nothing on Trump except the claim that he should have done more, or acted sooner, to stop the riot.

Trump did what many of the Democrats on the committee had done themselves: oppose the certification of electors from states where the results were controversial. He also organized a protest to influence a Congressional vote — an activity guaranteed by the protections of the First Amendment.

Notably, the DOJ is declining to prosecute the left-wing protesters who have besieged the homes of conservative Supreme Court justices in an effort to pressure them on the abortion issue — despite a specific federal law barring such protests as an exception to the First Amendment because they represent a threat to impartial justice and an independent judiciary.

The DOJ’s indulgence was followed by an attempt on the life of Justice Brett Kavanaugh by a leftist who, luckily, called 911 on himself.

Both President Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland promised to “depoliticize” the DOJ, referring to the bogus claims by Democrats that Trump “politicized” it because Barr would not break federal law and hand over grand jury materials to Democrats desperate to smear Trump.

It was Trump, actually, who depoliticized the DOJ — or tried to, though he ran into the resistance of careerists and holdovers who were willing to break the law in their effort to undermine his presidency.

Garland told NBC News that the DOJ would not hesitate to prosecute Trump even if he were a candidate for president in 2024. That is the right policy — though the DOJ did not apply it to Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden. Worse, it followed Hillary Clinton’s lead in smearing and spying on her opponent, and covered up legitimate questions about Biden’s conflicts of interest. To this day, the perpetrators of the “Russia collusion” hoax remain unpunished for what was, in effect, a silent coup attempt.

Now the DOJ is apparently trying to find a way to put Trump behind bars, and satisfy the Democrats’ lust for revenge for 2016. This is what happens in Third World countries.

I witnessed it happening in my native South Africa, where the ruling clique began using petty investigations to discredit the opposition and internal rivals. Today, South Africa is on the verge of being a failed state.

The political corruption of the DOJ is likewise undermining faith in the rule of law; it must be stopped.

EXCLUSIVE: 400 Migrants in One Group Cross into Texas Border Town

EAGLE PASS, Texas — In one group, nearly 400 migrants crossed the Rio Grande north of the city Thursday. The migrants crossed during the hottest part of the day as temperatures exceeded 100-degrees Fahrenheit. The group consisted of mostly single adult Cuban, Venezuelan, and Nicaraguan migrants.

The group walked nearly one mile from the riverbank after being guided across by cartel smugglers. They surrendered to Border Patrol agents and were sorted by nationality in preparation for transfer to a nearby processing facility.

Several members of the group were unable to make the walk due to the excessive heat and were moved to a Border Patrol rally point. Mixed into the group were family units with small children. Breitbart Texas spoke to some who said they recently arrived at the Mexican border city of Piedras Negras and had been traveling to the United States for longer than two months.

The migrants say they were part of a caravan in southern Mexico that walked from Tapachula, Chiapas, near the Guatemalan border until receiving travel documents from the National Institute of Migration in Mexico. The travel documents allow the migrants a 30-day window to legally travel through Mexico to the northern border.

Eagle Pass, part of the Del Rio Sector, has become the hotspot for migrant crossings and currently leads all other border cities in migrant apprehensions. In a Thursday press conference addressing border safety issues, Del Rio Chief Patrol Agent Jason Owens told reporters the sector has apprehended more than 340,000 since October. He also voiced concern about the additional 140,000 who have eluded apprehension during the same time frame.

Ironically, as Owens spoke to reporters, the large group of migrants was already fording the Rio Grande only miles away.

The influx of large migrant groups has become commonplace in Eagle Pass. The task of providing transportation, medical assistance, and processing is straining Border Patrol resources at the expense of standard law enforcement functions. One agent told Breitbart Texas that the constant flow of migrants has nearly destroyed personnel morale.

‘Deportation Defense’ is Big Business

Left-wing group could get $1 billion from taxpayers to keep gang members here.

As extremist Biden-Harris policies continue to swamp America with illegal aliens, the regime, which has already lavished millions of dollars on a radical George Soros-funded group, may give the so-called social justice outfit another billion taxpayer dollars to prevent illegal aliens from being deported.

The illegals benefiting from this largesse are unaccompanied alien children (UACs) who supposedly have no parents or legal guardians in the U.S. to take care of them.

Many UACs have ties to MS-13 or other gangs, then-chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican, warned in 2017.

“It is well known that MS-13 actively targets and recruits children as young as eight years old,” the lawmaker said. “While their illegal status and Central American heritage are a key factor in MS-13’s targeting, without a doubt the failures of the current system for handling these children are also to blame.”

“With promises of a cultural community and an escape from often harrowing and isolating living conditions at home, MS-13 has become an attractive option for too many minors,” Grassley added.

This taxpayer-underwritten MS-13 import subsidy comes “amid an escalating border crisis that saw more than 239,000 migrant encounters in May alone -- a historic high. There were 14,699 encounters of unaccompanied minors in May, an increase from the 12,180 encountered in April and slightly higher than the 14,052 encountered in May 2021,” Fox News reports.

“So far, there have been more than 100,000 unaccompanied minor encounters in fiscal year 2022, which started in October, compared to 147,925 for fiscal year 2021 and 33,239 in fiscal year 2020.”

The Trump administration had been using a Title 42 order from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to expel without a hearing individuals captured crossing the border illegally because their presence may pose public health risks to Americans. But the Biden-Harris regime reportedly exempted UACs from the order and typically places them in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), after which they are moved to locations across the country. Critics say this empowers not just MS-13 but also drug cartels and human traffickers.

The leftist lottery winner here is the Brooklyn, New York-based Vera Institute of Justice, which focuses on keeping illegals at large, including those who fail to appear for immigration hearings.

Vera hands out grants to local governments to keep illegals out of detention. Vera also supports the creation of a taxpayer-funded federal defender service to provide legal representation to everyone in immigration proceedings who can’t afford a lawyer.

As I previously wrote, Vera was founded in 1961 by philanthropist Louis Schweitzer and magazine editor Herbert Sturz, who supposedly “recognized the injustice of a bail system in New York City that locked people up simply for being poor.” Schweitzer died in 1971. Sturz, who died last year, had been on the board of radical billionaire George Soros’s grantmaking colossus, the Open Society Institute, which was later renamed Open Society Foundations (OSF). Sturz also served as deputy mayor of New York City for criminal justice, chairman of the city’s planning commission, and as a member of the New York Times editorial board.

Christopher D. Stone, who also died in 2021, was OSF president from 2011 to 2017 and president of the Vera Institute from 1994 to 2004. A deranged legal theorist, Stone kickstarted the environmentalist movement by arguing that trees and bodies of water should have legal rights, which made him a perfect fit with the more-money-than-brains crowd at Soros’s OSF, which of course, has given plenty of grants to Vera over the years. Under Stone’s novel legal theory, perhaps all the farming lands despoiled by illegals streaming across the southern border could sue green groups and Vera for damages.

Originally called the Manhattan Bail Project, Vera focused on helping low-income New Yorkers meet bail conditions that were beyond their means. Nowadays, the institute focuses on immigration-related issues. “Because very few can afford to hire a lawyer, most immigrants face deportation proceedings alone and without any legal defense,” Vera says, omitting the fact that unauthorized “immigrants” shouldn’t be here in the first place.

The institute is headquartered in New York’s 7th congressional district, which is represented by Rep. Nydia Velazquez, a left-wing Democrat running on the ACORN-entangled Working Families Party line in the August 23 primary. Vera used Twitter in 2019 to urge people to attend a protest alongside Velazquez at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, a federal lockup.

Velazquez has sponsored immigration amnesty legislation. In 2019 her bill made it through the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Donald Trump’s hateful policies are creating a climate of fear and uncertainty in immigrant communities,” Velazquez huffed at the time. “Holders of Temporary Protected Status and Deferred Enforced Departure are some of our most vulnerable neighbors who have fled natural disasters and political violence. It would be inhumane and economically disruptive to force these immigrants who have built lives in the U.S. to abruptly leave.”

Velazquez is a member of the militant Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC), which declares itself dedicated to taking on “systems of oppression and dismantling structural racism and discrimination” and tackling “systems that privilege the wealthy and powerful.”

Like the CPC’s website, Vera’s website, too, is a catalog of anti-Americanism.

According to Vera: “In its scale and brutality, the American justice system is a global aberration[,]”; “The United States incarcerates more people than any other country in the world[,]”; and “People of color are incarcerated at an unmistakably higher rate than white people.”

The group’s mission is “[t]o end the overcriminalization and mass incarceration of people of color, immigrants, and people experiencing poverty.”

Vera is a pioneer in the field of the “deportation defense program,” in which legal representation is provided to a non-citizen, generally an illegal alien, in deportation proceedings, typically at little or no cost to the client.

The deportation defense movement grew out of the sanctuary city movement, which gave illegal aliens permission to rob, rape, and murder Americans by, among other things, stigmatizing immigration enforcement with emotive slogans like “nobody is illegal.”

Like the two movements, the regime is also committed to defining illegal aliens out of existence.

A few weeks after he was installed as president, Joe Biden ordered the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agencies to drop the perfectly good legal term “illegal aliens” because leftists consider it offensive. Going forward “undocumented noncitizen” and “undocumented individuals” would be used.

CBP Deputy Commissioner Troy Miller defended the linguistic swindle as necessary to “set a tone and example.”

“We enforce our nation’s laws while also maintaining the dignity of every individual with whom we interact,” he said. “The words we use matter and will serve to further confer that dignity to those in our custody.”

Sen. Tom Cotton, an Arkansas Republican, promptly ridiculed the new directive.

“We use the term ‘illegal alien’ because they’re here illegally,” the plainspoken lawmaker said. “This kind of weakness and obsession with political correctness is why we’re having a crisis on the border in the first place.”

Given the regime’s ideological bent, it shouldn’t be all that surprising that it is now drowning its friends at the Vera Institute in an ocean of money.

Vera signed a $171.7 million contract with the Department of the Interior (DOI) with a start date of March 30 to help unaccompanied minors stay in the country, Fox News reported July 14. The contract runs until March 2023 but could be extended until March 2027 in which case Vera would be paid $983 million in total.

The DOI contract is in addition to a $158 million contract Vera signed with HHS in 2021 to do the same thing.

The nearly $1 billion figure for DOI grants is also separate from the $310 million the Obama-era HHS gave the Vera Institute in 2015 and 2016 to legally represent UACs, an investigation by the Immigration Reform Law Institute discovered.

Biden is the architect of the current mess at the border. He laid out his plans in his usual mangled English during the primary debates.

Illegals should never be detained, he said June 27, 2019.

“But the fact is that, look, we should not be locking people up. We should be making sure we change the circumstance, as we did, why they would leave in the first place. And those who come seeking asylum, we should immediately have the capacity to absorb them, keep them safe until they can be heard.”

Biden egged on the border surge on September 12, 2019.

“What I would do as president is several more things because things have changed. I would in fact, make sure that there is we immediately surge to the border all those people are seeking asylum,” he said.

“They deserve to be heard. That’s who we are. We are a nation that says if you want to flee and you’re fleeing oppression you should come.”

Biden kept on going with his surge rhetoric March 15, 2020.

“All of the bad things are coming through ports of entry right now. We don’t need a wall and by the way I would immediately as president surge to the border. I would end this notion for the first time in history the people seeking asylum have to be in squalor on the other side of the river and--and desperate situation. They should be-- be-- come to the United States and have a judgment made as to whether or not they qualify. I would also surge to the border immigration judges to make--make decisions immediately and no one, no one would be put in jail while waiting for their hearing.”

Before her affirmative-action hire as vice president, Kamala Harris called for crippling the nation’s immigration enforcement apparatus. As a senator, Harris likened ICE to the Ku Klux Klan during rejected ICE director nominee Ronald Vitiello’s confirmation hearing on November 15, 2018.

To paraphrase Biden, that’s who these people are. They’re not even trying to hide what they really think about America.

With the regime’s enthusiasm for illegal aliens and its desire to put their interests above those of Americans, the billion-dollar DOI grant to the Vera Institute of Justice, which does not include the $468 million it received from HHS, is just the beginning.

The deportation defense industry, whose footprint keeps expanding when leftists are in power, seems like it will become a permanent fixture in America.

Why Have Immigration Laws?
Plus, commentary on “documenting the undocumented”

Washington, D.C. (July 28, 2022) – Federal law places limits on immigration. What for? After all, there are those who advocate the free flow of people across borders, allowing unlimited immigration into the United States. This week’s episode of Parsing Immigration Policy addresses the reasons for immigration laws.

Kent Lundgren, a retired career Border Patrol officer and a member of the Center’s board of directors, explains that immigration rules exist to protect Americans and legal immigrants. Lundgren breaks down the areas to be protected into four categories: public health, public safety, national security, and jobs and wages. An enforced border is necessary to secure these four necessities of life for those living legally in the United States.

“Countries have borders, and unless those borders have rules for people who want to come in and who do come in, then the border is meaningless and the country dissolves”, said Lundgren.

In his closing commentary, Mark Krikorian, the host of Parsing Immigration Policy and the Center’s executive director, highlights a report on Biden administration plans to give identification cards to illegal border-crossers who have been released into the United States. Krikorian calls this “documenting the undocumented”, and an incremental step towards amnesty for illegal aliens.

(CNSNews.com) - The U.S. Border Patrol over the past four days has intercepted two large groups--numbering a total of 224 people--illegally crossing the U.S. border from Mexico into California, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Only two of the individuals caught by the Border Patrol were Mexican nationals.

The other 222 migrants were from 12 other countries.

These included: 183 from Brazil; 8 from Romania; 8 from Colombia; 4 from Nepal; 4 from Peru; 4 from Sierra Leon; 3 from Cuba; 2 from Nigeria; 2 from Haiti; 2 from Nicaragua; 1 from India; and 1 from Gambia.

On Saturday, July 23, the Border Patrol stopped 123 migrants illegally crossing the border at 6:40 p.m. Three days later, on Tuesday, July 26, they stopped another 101 illegally crossing the border at 1:45 a.m.

The first group, the Border Patrol said in a press release, were caught at “illegally crossed into the U.S. near Imperial Beach.” That is where the U.S.-Mexico border hits the Pacific Ocean.

The second group, the Border Patrol said, “illegally entered the U.S. through a drainage tube at the international boundary near Imperial Beach.  Smugglers cut the drainage tube bars utilizing a blow torch, which opened a pathway for the migrants to cross into the U.S.”

Here is the text of the Border Patrol press release:

"USBP Apprehends Two Groups of Over 100 Migrants within 72 hours

"IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. — San Diego Sector (SDC) Border Patrol agents from the Imperial Beach Station arrested two separate groups of over 100 migrants totaling 224 people.

"The first incident occurred July 23, at approximately 6:40 p.m., when agents encountered a group of 123 migrants who illegally crossed into the U.S. near Imperial Beach.  This is the second largest group encountered by agents in San Diego this fiscal year. The largest group was in November, which also took place in Imperial Beach and consisted of 144 people.

"The second incident occurred on July 26, at approximately 1:45 a.m., when agents encountered a group of 101 migrants who illegally entered the U.S. through a drainage tube at the international boundary near Imperial Beach.  Smugglers cut the drainage tube bars utilizing a blow torch, which opened a pathway for the migrants to cross into the U.S.

"'I am proud of the effort our agents do daily in continuing to secure the Border, especially considering encounters at the border have been increasing for the past two years,' said San Diego Sector Chief Patrol Agent Aaron Heitke.

"All individuals were transported to a nearby station where they were medically evaluated and cleared by medical personnel.  It was determined that the groups comprised of 167 single adults and 57 family unit members.

"The two groups totaling 224 individuals were determined to be citizens of the following 13 countries:

•    Brazil (183)
•    Sierra Leon (4)
•    Peru (4)
•    Nepal (4)
•    Nicaragua (2)
•    Nigeria (2)
•    Haiti (2)
•    Gambia (1)
•    India (1)
•    Cuba (3)
•    Romanians (8)
•    Colombians (8)
•    Mexicans (2)

"With 13 different countries consisting of mostly non-Spanish speaking migrants, San Diego Sector must resource out for translation support, which can strain the case-work process."

“Heroin is not produced in the United States. Every gram of heroin present in the United States provides unequivocal evidence of a failure of border security because every gram of heroin was smuggled into the United States. Indeed, this is precisely a point that Attorney General Jeff Sessions made during his appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on October 18, 2017 when he again raised the need to secure the U.S./Mexican border to protect American lives.” Michael Cutler …..FrontPageMag.com

Democrat-appointed judges have helped empty Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facilities, releasing a convicted illegal alien killer and another convicted for burglary.

Amidst the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, left-wing open borders organizations filed lawsuits to empty ICE detention facilities claiming that illegal alien detainees were at grave risk of contracting the virus.

In 2020, Judge Terry Hatter ordered that ICE’s Adelanto, California, facility vastly reduce its detainee population, citing the coronavirus. Hatter was first appointed by former President Jimmy Carter.

Likewise, Judge Jesus Bernal ordered the release of illegal alien detainees at ICE facilities, ensuring that any detainee claiming to be “medically vulnerable” from the coronavirus could apply for release. Bernal was first appointed by former President Barack Obama.

The result has been a dramatic drop in ICE’s detainee populations at its Adelanto and Mesa Verde facilities. As of this month, the Adelanto facility holds just 47 illegal alien detainees on average after previously holding nearly 2,000 detainees. At the Mesa Verde facility, only 52 detainees remain on average after previously holding nearly 400 detainees.

Two illegal aliens who took advantage of the judicial-ordered releases were illegal aliens Arody Ramos Tome, convicted of first-degree murder in 1984, and Marvin Cua, convicted of burglary in 2018.

In Tome’s case, “at the age of seventeen, [he] pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder with an enhancement for weapon use, one count of first-degree murder with an enhancement for weapon use, and one count of kidnapping for purposes of robbery,” court records state.

Meanwhile, Cua was recently shot and killed by officers with the Los Angeles Police Department. Police said Cua was armed and had been involved in a confrontation with officers. The shooting happened when officers responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.

Widespread prison release is part of a fierce jailbreak agenda by left-wing non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the open borders lobby.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which helps with releases from ICE facilities, held a “community training” seminar in March where activists detailed their “free them all” goals including defunding ICE and lobbying President Joe Biden’s administration to close ICE facilities.

NYTimes: Cartels Get $13 Billion a Year from Joe Biden’s Welcome for Migrants

The cartels and coyotes are earning $13 billion a year by delivering economic migrants to U.S. workplaces via President Joe Biden’s welcoming border agencies, the New York Times reported Monday.

The current revenue is 26 times larger than the $500 million the cartels earned under President Donald Trump’s low-migration policies, according to the July 25 report.

The key news was buried in the fourteenth paragraph, long after the lede’s focus on a 2014 smuggling crime:

For years, independent coyotes paid cartels a tax to move migrants through territory they controlled along the border, and the criminal syndicates stuck to their traditional line of business, drug smuggling, which was far more profitable. That began to change around 2019, Patrick Lechleitner, the acting deputy director at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, told Congress last year. The sheer number of people seeking to cross made migrant smuggling an irresistible moneymaker for some cartels, he said.

The enterprises have teams specializing in logistics, transportation, surveillance, stash houses and accounting — all supporting an industry whose revenues have soared to an estimated $13 billion today from $500 million in 2018, according to Homeland Security Investigations, the federal agency that investigates such cases.

The article suggests the $13 billion excludes drug revenue.

The article tried to blame former President Donald Trump for the 2021 cartel revenue, saying: “Title 42, the public health order introduced by the Trump administration [in 2020] … has led to a substantial escalation in the number of migrant encounters on the border — 1.7 million in fiscal 2021 — and brisk business for smugglers.”

The cartels and coyotes earn the money via smuggling contracts, high-interest loans, and border extortion, and by trafficking indebted migrants into indentured-servitude, cartel-controlled jobs throughout the United States.

The article was written by experienced reporter Miriam Jordan.

But the newspaper’s pro-migration editors may have buried the $13 billion news to muffle public criticism of Biden’s easy-migration policies from criticism.

The newspaper’s top editors include Jia Lynn Yang. She is the author of a 2020 pro-migration book, titled “One Mighty and Irresistible Tide,” where she wrote:

The image of the Statue of Liberty, the Emma Lazarus poem at the statue’s base, the notion of America as an eternal “nation of immigrants,” — these make up an intoxicating part of this country’s mythology. Set against all the sins of America’s past — from slavery to the removal and genocide of American Indians — the arrival of open-hearted immigrants, grateful for a chance at a new life on our shores serves as a constant renewal of hope in the American project. If there is salvation for this country, it very well may lie in the underlying gratitude of a refugee whose life has been saved by the granting of a visa.

Since January 2021, Biden’s lax policies have allowed roughly 1.7 million migrants to cross the border under various legal pretexts, such as asylum, parole, reunification, unaccompanied child, or refugee status, for example.

His deputies, chiefly his pro-migration border chief, Alehandro Mayorkas, have also allowed roughly 900,000 additional job-seeking “gateway” migrants to sneak past the overstretched border.

A record number of migrants have been killed trying to reach Biden’s welcome. The Democrats’ death toll also includes many children. Many migrants are also raped amid the progressives’ welcome.

The cartel-delivered southern inflow of 2.6 million adds to the huge rush of government-delivered migrants. At least 2 million legal immigrants, shorter-term seasonal workers, and long-term, white-collar visa workers, have been delivered by Biden’s agencies.

Overall, Biden is on track to allow roughly three migrants to enter the country for every four Americans born in 2021 and 2022.

This massive wave of foreign workers, consumers, and renters is tilting the free market in favor of CEOs and investors.

This tilt allows the investors to cut Americans’ wages, raise families’ housing prices, and minimize competitive investment in the labor-saving machines that allow Americans to earn more money each day.

The flood of cheap labor is also re-creating a national workforce of child laborers, which had been nearly eliminated in the low-migration 1930s.

“Reuters learned of underage workers at the Hyundai-owned supplier following the brief disappearance in February of a Guatemalan migrant child from her family’s home in Alabama,” said a July 22 report headlined “Hyundai Subsidiary Has Used Child Labor at Alabama Factory.” The July 22 Reuters report continued:

The girl, who turns 14 this month, and her two brothers, aged 12 and 15, all worked at the [the SMART Alabama LLC] plant earlier this year and weren’t going to school, according to people familiar with their employment. Their father, Pedro Tzi, confirmed these people’s account in an interview with Reuters.

The article also included statements from other workers about additional children who were holding jobs at the Alabama-based parts supplier in Luverne that would otherwise have been held by Americans:

One former worker at SMART, an adult migrant who left for another auto industry job last year, said there were around 50 underage workers between the different plant shifts, adding that he knew some of them personally. Another former adult worker at SMART, a U.S. citizen who also left the plant last year, said she worked alongside about a dozen minors on her shift. GOP leaders are learning to criticize Biden for the border chaos and for causing the death of many migrants.

However, so far, they have avoided any criticism of the economic strategy that fuels the federal government’s pro-migration policies.

Extraction Migration

Since at least 1990, the D.C. establishment has extracted tens of millions of legal and illegal migrants — plus temporary visa workers — from poor countries to serve as workers, managers, consumers, and renters for various U.S. investors and CEOs.

This federal economic policy of Extraction Migration has skewed the free market in the United States by inflating the labor supply for the benefit of employers.

The inflationary policy makes it difficult for ordinary Americans to get marriedadvance in their careers, raise families, or buy homes.

Extraction migration has also slowed innovation and shrunk Americans’ productivity, partly because it allows employers to boost stock prices by using cheap stoop labor instead of productivity-boosting technology.

Migration undermines employees’ workplace rights, and it widens the regional wealth gaps between the Democrats’ big coastal states and the Republicans’ heartland and southern states. The flood of cheap labor tilts the economy towards low-productivity jobs and has shoved at least ten million American men out of the labor force.

An economy built on extraction migration also drains Americans’ political clout over elites, alienates young people, and radicalizes Americans’ democratic civic culture because it allows wealthy elites to ignore despairing Americans at the bottom of society.

The economic policy is backed by progressives who wish to transform the U.S. from a society governed by European-origin civic culture into a progressive-directed empire of competitive, resentful identity groups. “We’re trying to become the first multiracial, multi-ethnic superpower in the world,” Rep. Rohit Khanna (D-CA) told the New York Times in March 2022. “It will be an extraordinary achievement … we will ultimately triumph,” he boasted.

The progressives’ colonialism-like economic strategy kills many migrants. It exploits poor foreigners and splits foreign families as it extracts human resources from poor home countries to serve wealthy U.S. investors. This migration policy also minimizes shareholder pressure on U.S. companies to build up beneficial and complementary trade with people in poor countries.

Business-backed migration advocates hide this extraction migration economic policy behind a wide variety of noble-sounding explanations and theatrical border security programs. For example, progressives claim that the U.S. is a “Nation of Immigrants,” that migration is good for migrants, and that the state must renew itself by replacing populations.

The polls show the public wants to welcome some immigration — but they also show deep and broad public opposition to labor migration and the inflow of temporary contract workers into careers sought by young skilled U.S. graduates.

The opposition is growinganti-establishmentmultiracialcross-sexnon-racistclass-basedbipartisanrationalpersistent, and recognizes the solidarity that American citizens owe to one another.

Rep. Kat Cammack on Drug Smugglers Released on Cashless Bail: California Knows How to Party, But 'They Don’t Know How to Prosecute’

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) expressed outrage Friday that two drug traffickers who were arrested for trafficking 150,000 fentanyl pills in California last month were let out on cashless bail.

“This is crazy, Maria. In the words of Tupac, California knows how to party, but clearly they don't know how to prosecute, okay. I mean, this is absolutely insane. You have the governor of California running ads in my home state of Florida, telling Floridians to ‘come to California. We'll protect your rights,’” Cammack told Fox Business’s “Mornings with Maria Bartiromo.”

“Well, clearly they’re going to protect your right to traffic drugs, because that right there, 150 fentanyl pills, that is potentially 150 overdoses. In my state of Florida we go after those drug dealers, hold them accountable,” the congresswoman said.

“If that person overdoses, that dealer is responsible for that death, and 150,000 potential overdoses, that's a mass murderer, and yet they're out on cash bail. Give me a break. This is George Soros and the liberal DA’s going rampant across the country, saying that this isn't a problem, trying to distract people with shiny objects,” she said.

“It’s a joke. Homeless encampments, crack pipe distributions, and now cashless bail for massive major drug traffickers. California is a disaster, and before they run ads in Florida they need to keep up their own mess in their backyard,” Cammack said.

Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Eric Adams slammed Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Doug Ducey for sending migrants on buses to New York City and Washington, D.C.

Cammack said that Adams could be upset because once the illegal immigrants arrive in his state, they’ll be able to take advantage of entitlement programs like food stamps, housing assistance, and health care programs.

“Well, maybe he's upset about the midnight flights of aircraft dropping illegals at the behest of the federal government in New York or maybe he's upset over the fact that once these buses of illegals arrive in Washington, D.C., that they are free to go wherever they want because that is what the Biden administration has done,” Cammack said.

“But let us also not forget that New York City advertises openly that you do not have to be a U.S. citizen to take advantage of programs like their food stamp program, cash programs, housing programs and also health care programs,” the congresswoman said.

“They openly advertise that if you are an illegal citizen, you are eligible. So he has a magnet and now he's shocked and appalled when people are showing up in New York City expecting a handout? Seems kind of crazy to me, but as I said before, you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes,” she said.

Host Maria Bartiromo said that Adams is upset, but he’s hesitant to blame Democrats.

“Of course not, because that would fly in the face of the political agenda which is as we know, and discussed before, rooted in this concept of dependency and control,” Cammack said.

“But he is starting to see the outrage from people within his city, wondering why aren't we taking care of our homeless population, why aren't we taking care of our veterans first, why are we spending taxpayer dollars on these programs that are supposed to go to U.S. citizens,” the congresswoman said.

“He's got a lot of explaining to do, and voters are going to remember the fact that he didn't take responsibility when he had the chance, and he's just playing politics with people's lives,” she said.

Cammack was asked about the Supreme Court’s decision not to block a lower court ruling that prevents the Biden administration from imposing restrictions on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that would have dramatically limited how many illegal immigrants ICE can deport and arrest.

“You know, it's interesting that this administration was handed a win by some of the more liberal justices, and I think it's because, quite frankly, it seems like the court was trying to save the administration from itself, recognizing that this is a deeply unpopular, un-American policy where you can just come into the country and no background checks, no process,” she said.

“And there's no denying that we are a nation of immigrants, but people come here legally. They do it the right way, and what we have at the southwest border is a total free-for-all. It's an invasion, and it goes against everything that we stand for. The fact that the court stood up against the administration speaks volumes of what's to come in the next few months,” the congresswoman said.

“I think even the court is wanting to see some balance restored here in Washington, D.C. So interesting times we're living in,” Cammack said.

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents arrested an armed human smuggler attempting to move five Mexican nationals into the U.S. interior. During a search of the vehicle, agents found a small quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl pills.

Agents assigned to the Tucson Station responded to an observation of border camera operators who reported a group of migrants crossing the border near Sasabe, Arizona, and loading into a smuggler’s vehicle. The agents found the vehicle and arrested the alleged human smuggler, according to a tweet from Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John R. Modlin.

During a search of the vehicle, the agents found a loaded handgun and a small quantity of meth and fentanyl pills, the chief reported. The agents placed the two U.S. citizens under arrest for smuggling and the illegal firearm and drugs. They transported the migrants for processing.

Elsewhere in the Tucson Sector, Chief Modlin reported the arrest of another U.S. citizen human smuggler after the driver of a sedan led agents on a pursuit from the SR-82 immigration checkpoint. The driver refused to stop at a secondary inspection station.

Sonita Station Agents pursued the silver sedan until the driver lost control and spun out into a rancher’s fence. The agents arrested the driver and four Mexican citizens illegally present in the U.S.

Exclusive—Tom Homan and Matt O’Brien: The U.S. Government Is Running the World’s Most Sophisticated Child Trafficking Operation

According to the United Nations and Amnesty International, roughly 15 percent of Central American migrants who seek asylum in the United States are children traveling without a parent or legal guardian.

The U.S. government classifies these children as Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC), who are to receive special protections pursuant to the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA) and other legislation. In 2021, American shelters received a record 122,000 UACs, and unaccompanied children continue to stream toward our borders.

At first glance, extending a warm welcome to children who are allegedly fleeing persecution would seem to be a noble goal. However, given our combined 60 years’ experience in immigration enforcement, we can tell you that rosy images of the United States offering refuge to suffering kids are the stuff of Hollywood fantasy, not border zone reality.

The TVPRA, rather than protecting kids, has actually become a conduit for trafficking children. Alien smugglers know that, with the exception of Mexican nationals, Customs and Border Protection processes all UACs within 48 hours, whenever possible. They are then turned over to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which places the children in the custody of a family member who is already in the U.S., a non-family temporary guardian or in an HHS facility.

The net result is a government-operated fast-lane into the interior of the United States. Their immigration hearings can last several years. Even though the vast majority will never get relief from U.S courts and get ordered removed, only 3 percent will actually leave as ordered according to the Homeland Security Lifecycle Report.

The problems only get worse from there. Smugglers and other immigration law breakers know full well that the children can easily escape from HHS facilities and foster homes and remain in the U.S. with little fear of being discovered. In fact, it is so easy for these kids to disappear that the U.S. government has lost approximately 20,000 of them.

Where do these kids end up? The UK’s Independent noted in 2021 that HHS has a very poor record of properly vetting temporary guardians, and an alarming number of UACs have been forced into involuntary servitude. According to a Congressional report, in 2014 HHS placed alien minors with “sponsors” who were actually human traffickers.

The traffickers forced those children to work as slave labor on egg farms in Ohio. Such complete malfeasance upon the part of HHS necessarily raises the question, how many kids have been released to sex traffickers who forced them into prostitution?

There is also significant evidence that many of the UACs are – far from being innocent victims – actually hardened members of criminal gangs. In November 2017, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted Operation Raging Bull, which resulted in the arrest of 214 MS-13 gang members. One-third of those arrested entered the United States as unaccompanied minors. Soon after, another operation conducted by ICE was Operation Matador that resulted in the arrest of nearly 500 gang members. Approximately 40 percent of those gang members entered the U.S. as a UAC or part of a family unit youth.

However, we have seen internal DHS documents indicating that the percentage of UACs with gang affiliations may be significantly higher. In fact, the UAC program makes it so easy for criminals to enter the U.S. that over 600 individuals apprehended by CBP were later determined to be adults posing as children.

And here’s the real kicker: this kid-migration pipeline – which does far more to endanger vulnerable children than it does to protect them – is costing American taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.

As of April 2021, the Biden administration was spending $60 million a week to shelter UACs. That’s a massive expenditure, especially when HHS doesn’t seem to have any reasonable idea of what children are in its custody, where they are being housed, or who is caring for them. But instead of auditing the program, Team Biden just awarded its progressive cronies at the Vera Institute a $171.1 million contract to help UACs avoid removal from the United States.

Based on all of the above, it seems safe to say that the federal government isn’t ensuring the safe and orderly migration of desperate children in need of protection. Rather, it is aiding and abetting transnational criminal organizations by running the world’s most sophisticated and expensive child trafficking ring. Every American who cares about children – whether those kids are born in the United States or not – should be demanding their elected representatives to stop this madness as quickly as possible.

This is easy to fix. Congress needs to change the TVPRA and make clear that children from non-contiguous countries are treated the same as children from Mexico. If it is ascertained that the UAC is not a victim of trafficking, that UAC should be immediately removed back to their country, the same as UACs from Mexico.

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley and El Paso Sectors disrupted multiple human smuggling stash houses this week. The raids led to the apprehension of dozens of migrants and the arrest of human smugglers.

Rio Grande Valley Sector agents received information on July 19 regarding a possible human smuggling stash house operation in a residence in Alton, Texas. The agents teamed up with Alton police officers and Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office deputies to investigate, according to information obtained from Border Patrol officials.

The law enforcement team made entry into the residence and found 13 migrants being held in captivity. While now caretaker for the property was identified, the agents identified the migrants as citizens of El Salvador and Mexico. All were illegally present in the United States.

Several hours later, agents received information about another stash house operation in McAllen, Texas. A law enforcement team made entry to this residence and found 35 migrants inside. Agents identified the migrants as citizens of El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. Again, no caretaker was present at the time of the inspection.

At the opposite end of the state, El Paso Sector agents teamed up with Texas Department of Homeland Security troopers and ICE Homeland Security Investigations special agents to apprehend 59 migrants and three human smugglers, according to a tweet by El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gloria I. Chavez.

The video tweeted by Chief Chavez shows the inhumane conditions human smugglers force the migrants to endure. Those packed into the crowded conditions included multiple minors.

Enough fentanyl to kill 140 million people was seized on the Southern border in the month of June alone, a report from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) highlights.

The report from FAIR, which is based on data released by the Biden administration, found that over 680 pounds of fentanyl were seized by Border Patrol in the month of June alone.

In addition, 9,371 pounds of cocaine, 104 pounds of heroin, and 13,167 pounds of methamphetamine were also seized by authorities on our Southern border. Meanwhile, the report notes that 107,622 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2021, according to the Center for Disease Control.

Drug peddling was only one type of crime that occurred on the border in June. Border Patrol agents arrested nine gang members, two convicted sex offenders, and a child rapist last month. Human traffickers associated with Mexican drug cartels also left 50 men, women, and children dead in the back of a trailer.

The report from FAIR also noted that June 2022 was the single worst June on record, with Border Patrol having 207,416 migrant encounters last month, a 527.6 percent increase from the 33,049 encounters in June 2020. Notably, two-thirds of the migrants who were encountered last month were single adults.

Recently, Breitbart reported that a left-wing organization with ties to globalist billionaire George Soros had won a $172 million contract with the federal government and will assist illegal immigrants in dodging deportation.

Meanwhile, the Biden Administration is on track to bring in a whopping 2.1 million illegal immigrants into the United States in 2022 alone. Border Patrol agents have already encountered more migrants in nine months of fiscal year 2022 than in all of fiscal year 2021.

As more illegal immigrants pour across our border than ever before, Democrats in Congress are preparing a bill that would offer amnesty.

Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) lectured American citizens on Tuesday, urging them to reject “conservative” and embrace “transformation.”

During a press conference with President Joe Biden, AMLO attacked “the conservatives” in the United States for their opposition to the administration’s globalist agenda on energy, trade, and immigration.

“I know that your adversaries — the conservatives — are going to be screaming all over the place, even to heaven,” AMLO said. “They’re going to be yelling at heaven.”

“In the face of this crisis, the way out is not through conservatism,” he continued. “The way out is through transformation. We have to be bold in our actions. Transform not maintain the status quo.”

Instead of defending Americans, Biden seemingly agreed with AMLO.

“We have liberals, moderates, conservatives, and extreme conservatives,” Biden said. “I’m waiting for the Republican Party to come back to traditional conservative positions. We have to start to talk with them, to one another, in this country, with respect.”

AMLO also suggested that “it is indispensable” for Biden and Congress to pass amnesty for illegal aliens living in the U.S.

“It is indispensable for us to regularize and give certainty to migrants that have for years lived and worked in a very honest manner, and who are also contributing to the development of this great nation,” AMLO said.

In May, more than 222,000 border crossers and illegal aliens were apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border — the largest level of monthly illegal immigration since the Clinton administration. Since Biden took office, his administration has released over a million border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities.

“Joe Biden is great on immigration. I guess depends on your perspective. If you’re a human trafficker, or drug dealer, you’d give him an A-plus, but theAmerican people would give him an F. The crisis at our border was not only entirely predictable, it was predicted. I predicted that if you campaign all year long on open borders, amnesty, and health care for illegals, you’re going to get more migrants at the border. That’s what’s happened since the election.”

Federal and local law enforcement officials seized a record-setting load of cartel-connected methamphetamine in San Diego County, California. The drugs, loaded 20-foot box truck, weighed in excess of 5,000 pounds and are reported to be the largest seizure in San Diego County.

During the afternoon of July 7, federal officials observed a box truck enter the U.S. through the Otay Mesa Commercial Port of Entry, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California. Law enforcement agencies surveilled the truck to its destination in National City, California. The agents watched as the alleged drug smugglers unloaded the truck into a Dodge van.

At that point, law enforcement officers moved in and arrested Rafael Alzua, 37; Mario Contreras, 41; Ethgar Velazquez, 44; and Galdrino Contreras, 41, prosecutors stated. Officials listed all four suspects as residents of Tijuana, Mexico.

An inspection of the boxes revealed more than 5,000 pounds of drugs that later tested positive for methamphetamine.

“This is a significant accomplishment by our law enforcement partners,” U.S. Attorney Randy Grossman said in a written statement. “Due to stellar work by law enforcement agents, the government stopped more than 5,000 pounds of methamphetamine from being distributed on our streets.”

The case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Border Crime Suppression Team, Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Border Patrol.

DEA Special Agent in Charge Shelly S. Howe stated, “This monumental seizure represents another win against drug cartels that fuel addiction in the United States. Because of our great partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, we will continue to disrupt the cartels’ flow of drugs into our cities.”

San Diego County Sheriff Anthony C. Ray added, “I am grateful for the hard work, vigilance, and steadfast dedication of our Sheriff’s Detectives, as well as our local, state, and federal partners. Our partnership and collaboration allow us to share information that is absolutely critical in keeping drugs from entering our streets and holding drug traffickers accountable.”

The four men from Mexico now face charges of Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine. If convicted, each could face a prison term of ten years to life and a fine of up to $10 million.

Court records were not yet available in the document tracking system.

EXCLUSIVE DOCUMENTS: Mexican Governor is the Nephew of a Cartel Boss in U.S. Custody

Facebook Alfredo Ramirez Bedolla

ILDEFONSO ORTIZ and BRANDON DARBY

15 Jun 20220

3:18

The governor of a Mexican state plagued with cartel violence for years is the nephew of a cartel boss and a cousin to another. Both face drug charges in a U.S court. Breitbart Texas obtained birth certificates confirming the familial relationships between the governor and the crime bosses. The politician has denied such familial connections in the past.

This week, Adalberto Fructoso “Fruto” Comparan Rodriguez, the former mayor of Aguililla, Michoacan, and son Adalberto Fructoso Comparan Bedolla, along with four other cartel members, went before a federal judge in Florida this week. They were notified of the drug charges against them and were ordered to be held without bond.
Breitbart Texas obtained Mexican birth certificates showing the relationships between current Michoacan Governor Alfredo Ramirez Bedolla and the accused through marriage. La Silla Rota had published information about Ramirez’s relatives during his gubernatorial race in 2021, but only now do documents publicly confirm the connections.

The wife of Comparan Rodriguez is Anabel Bedolla Marin from Aguililla, Michoacan — a region under the control of Carteles Unidos.

Anabel Bedolla is the sister of Maria de Jesus Bedolla Marin, who is the mother of the politician.

Ramirez Bedolla, born in Morelia, Michoacan, had previously tried to minimize his relationship by claiming his aunt and uncle were separated for more than 10 years and had no contact with them.

Comparan Rodriguez is accused of being one of the leaders of Carteles Unidos in Michoacan and responsible for large-scale shipments of meth into the U.S. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Comparan Rodriguez would hide the drugs inside concrete tiles and dilute meth in paint. Authorities in Guatemala arrested Comparan Rodriguez in March 2021 and helped get him extradited to the U.S. in January 2022. Authorities arrested his son, Comparan Bedolla, in March 2021 in Miami while they reportedly tried to remove liquid meth from paint.

Michoacan is one of the most violent states in Mexico due to a violent turf war between Carteles Unidos (a collection of smaller organizations and “self-defense” groups) against Cartel Jalisco New Generation for control of vast drug production areas and smuggling corridors. Mexico’s federal government has been unable to reduce violence in the region.

Border Chief Alejandro Mayorkas Says He Is ‘Aligned’ with Pro-Migrant Advocates

Alejandro Mayorkas

The nation’s pro-migration border chief says his policies match the pro-migrant goals of immigrants, not the goals set by Congress or the goals preferred by citizens.

“I am, to a great extent, aligned with the expectations” of the immigrant community, the Cuban-born border chief Alejandro Mayorkas told an audience at the Aspen Institute on July 19.

Those expectations “match my ambitions for what we want to do” at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), said Mayorkas, who described himself as a refugee from Cuba.

“They reflect, I think, the president’s ambitions for what our country needs and who we are,” Mayorkas said, echoing his prior claims that Americans must ensure their homeland is a “Nation of Immigrants,” not a nation for citizens.

“It seems like he does not actually want to be the Secretary of Homeland Security, but that he views himself as the champion of illegal aliens getting immigration benefits in the United States,” said Robert Law, the director of the Center for Homeland Security and Immigration, at the America First Policy Institute.

“He’s got the wrong job if that’s what his perspective is,” Law told Breitbart News.

Mayorkas was gently interviewed by MSNBC host Trymaine Lee. Despite the economic damage that Mayorkas inflicts on Americans, including black Americans, Lee did not ask him about the economic pain caused by the flood of foreign labor and renters. MSNBC is owned by Comcast, which uses Mayorkas’ agency to import visa workers that displace Americans.

Since February 2021, Mayorkas has dramatically expanded the policy of Extraction Migration which pulls workers, consumers, and renters into the U.S. economy.

This post-1990 bipartisan policy has forced down Americans’ wages, pushed up their rents, expanded civic chaos, and spiked political tensions, while shifting vast wealth to the stock market, older investors, and coastal towns. During that period, roughly 30 million legal and illegal migrants have arrived — including at least 3 million legal, illegals, visa workers, overstays, refugees, and others — since Biden’s inauguration.

That flood has tilted the economy away from ordinary Americans, in favor of investors, migrants, and coastal property owners. This month, 75 percent of Americans who earn between $30,000 and $100,000 say their income is dropping amid inflation, says a survey by Primerica. That is a jump from 67 percent in March, says the survey, which also notes that people are cutting back on restaurants and groceries.

Mayorkas insisted the border is “secure,” even though he also admitted that the migrants are not “safe” from death or rape.  But his policy is to admit the vast wave of illegal migrants, so his vision of an orderly and efficient border is compatible with a vast wave of job-seeking economic migrants.

“To the extent that anyone thinks anything is ‘secure’ at the border, what they really mean is the processing centers where they are just waving people through,” responded Law.

“Mayorkas has decided the interests of activist groups are more important than the interests of the American people who put laws on the books through their elected representatives for a reason,” said Jon Feere, at the Center for Immigration Studies. He told Breitbart News:

Those reasons are plentiful — from concerns about the impact on the labor market, to public safety concerns, to national security concerns … There’s a real impact from his non-enforcement agenda that is having a negative impact on families across the country in many different ways, and it leaves the public wondering what recourses are left to get the outcomes we thought we were going to get through the legislative process.

Mayorkas, however, suggested that the public’s growing opposition to his agenda is illegitimate:

The divisiveness in this country creates risk, and in that divide, come foreign adversaries who exploit it, who spread disinformation to drive people’s behavior, who exacerbate the divide, and who have an interest in our weakness and our downfall.

“There would be less division in our country if the American people felt that the laws on the books were being enforced,” responded Feere, adding:

His non-enforcement agenda is having a negative impact on families across the country in many different ways, and it leaves the public wondering what recourses are left to get the outcomes we thought we were going to get through the legislative process?

What happens when a political appointee decides to ignore sections of federal law? What recourse do the American people have?

His failure to enforce the law is immediately creating public safety threats. But, long term, it’s doing damage to our democratic institutions.

Mayorkas is a pro-migration zealot who has repeatedly declared his emotional support for migrants over Americans’ interests.

He has repeatedly described himself as a political refugee from Cuba in 1960, and he repeatedly declines to use his extensive executive authority to protect the economic, civic, and political interests of Americans.

For example, he has decided that illegals can remain in the United States to compete for jobs and housing, as long as they do not commit violent crimes. “Unlawful presence in the United States, alone, will not be a basis for immigration enforcement action … it is a matter of justice and equity as well,” he told the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Washington in January 2022.

The “core founding principle” of the United States is “equity,” and he is building an immigration system built on “equity,” Mayorkas declared at an April 2022 meeting hosted by Al Sharpton’s National Action Network.

“Justice is our priority,” Mayorkas declared at a November 2021 Senate hearing, adding, “That includes securing our border and providing relief to those [migrants] who qualify for it under our laws.”

But polls show that voters are ready to punish the Democrats in November for enabling Mayorkas’ extremist, migration-first agenda.

A political rebuke in November would give the GOP leaders an opportunity to build a broad national consensus on migration in 2023 — but only if they decide to bypass their pro-migration donors.

Yet Mayorkas’s pro-migration policies are still backed by fellow radicals in Biden’s administration.

“Some governors are using migrants as a political tool, as a political play,” White House spokeswoman Karine Jen-Pierre said on July 20.

“We should be making sure that we’re doing everything that we can to help folks who are coming into this process in a legal way and making sure that we do this in a safe way and a respectful way. And I think it’s shameful that [the governors’ ressistance] is happening,” said Jean-Pierre, a Haitian immigrant.

Extraction Migration

Since at least 1990, the D.C. establishment has extracted tens of millions of legal and illegal migrants —plus temporary visa workers — from poor countries to serve as workers, managers, consumers, and renters for various U.S. investors and CEOs.

This federal economic policy of Extraction Migration has skewed the free market in the United States by inflating the labor supply for the benefit of employers.

The inflationary policy makes it difficult for ordinary Americans to get marriedadvance in their careersraise families, or buy homes.

The polls show the public wants to welcome some immigration — but they also show deep and broad public opposition to labor migration and the inflow of temporary contract workers into jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.

The opposition is growinganti-establishmentmultiracialcross-sexnon-racistclass-based,  bipartisanrationalpersistent, and recognizes the solidarity that American citizens owe to one another.

Federal Judge Orders Release Of Dataset Showing Drug Industry's Role In Opioid Crisis

For the first time, a federal court in Ohio is releasing a trove of data that offers far more detail about the size and scope of the nation's opioid epidemic — and about the role played by drug companies and pharmacies like CVS, Walgreens and Johnson & Johnson that profited from the rapid growth of prescription opioid sales.

"I don't think America truly understands the scope and depth, the level of penetration these pills had in their communities," says Paul Farrell with the firm Greene, Ketchum, Farrell, Bailey & Tweel. "It's going to be an awakening."

Farrell is one of three co-lead attorneys suing the pharmaceutical industry as part of the largest consolidated civil lawsuit related to drug industry's role in the opioid epidemic in the U.S., scheduled to go to trial in October.

Some drug companies fought in court to keep the information secret, arguing that it contains proprietary details about their business practices. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration also resisted releasing the data, arguing that it included sensitive information used by law enforcement.

But a large portion of the searchable database, known as ARCOS, is set to be releasedin an order signed by Judge Dan Polster on Monday. Once available to the public later this week, it will offer a transaction-by-transaction account of how opioid pain pills were made, distributed and sold by pharmacy chains from 2006 through 2012 when the addiction epidemic was growing fast.

The data also shows exactly which communities around the U.S. were hardest hit, as pharmacies began dispensing more and more highly addictive medications.

Polster is overseeing the consolidated lawsuit in Ohio involving more than 1,200 local governments suing 23 of the biggest firms in the drug industry, ranging from drug manufacturers like Purdue Pharma to wholesale distributors including McKesson and Cardinal Health.

Also named in the suit are retail pharmacy chains such as CVS and Walgreens.

While much of the media scrutiny and recent high profile lawsuits have highlighted how drug manufacturers allegedly fueled the epidemic, the ARCOS data is expected to clarify the role played by distributors and pharmacies.

"You'll be able to see the flow, the steady flow of pills — it's not a trickle, it's a tsunami," Farrell says.

"In my hometown of Huntington, W.Va., there are 24 CVS pharmacies within 40 miles of my house. From those 24 pharmacies, you'll be able to see that 80 million [opioid] pills were distributed [over a six year period]."

The population in that region of the Ohio River valley is roughly 100,000 people.

The data-sets began to be reported by the drug industry — manufacturers, distributors and pharmacies — beginning in 2006. They were compiled by the DEA.

Judge Polster declined to immediately release data to the public collected after 2012 because of concerns raised by the DEA that it could interfere with on-going criminal investigations.

In court documents last year, Polster described the data as "extremely informative," adding that the transaction records reveal "the precise number of opioid pills delivered to each city and county in America, partitioned by manufacturer and distributor and pharmacy."

Mike DeAngelis, a spokesman for CVS, one of the nation's biggest pharmacy chains, declined NPR's request for an interview, citing ongoing litigation.

But the company issued a statement saying that the pharmacy chain is "committed to the highest standards of ethics and business practices" and "dedicated to helping reduce prescription drug abuse and diversion."

NPR reached out to an attorney representing other pharmacies targeted in the consolidated lawsuit, but has yet to receive comment.

More than 1,200 local governments have sued players in the pharmaceutical industry, claiming the industry worsened the opioid epidemic by aggressively marketing and dispensing prescription pain pills while lying about the risks.

Defendants in the case include the nation's largest drugmakers, distributors and pharmacy chains. Despite opioid-related settlements this year totaling nearly $2 billion, most firms have denied any wrong-doing.

"The plaintiffs' allegations about CVS in this matter have no merit and we are aggressively defending against them," CVS' DeAngelis said in his statement to NPR.

More than 200,000 Americans have died from prescription opioid-related overdoses since the epidemic began in the 1990s, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Attorneys suing drug companies say the data now being released paints a troubling new picture of how each sector of the pharmaceutical industry contributed to the crisis.

Greg Abbott's 'publicity stunt' busing illegals from Texas to Washington, D.C. ... is working

By Monica Showalter

With the border surge hitting historic highs, and Texas taking the brunt of Joe Biden's open borders, the Lone Star state's governor, Greg Abbott, announced a plan to bus illegal border crossers on a voluntary basis to Washington, D.C. He said it was to get Washington's attention. Washington's swamp denizens in the press and halls of power, calling it a publicity stunt.

What we are seeing now is that the much-derided "stunt" is working.

Take a gander at the weird outrage from Washington, D.C.'s sanctuary-city-supporting mayor, Muriel Bowser, on the effects of that Abbott policy, according to Fox News:

Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser appeared on CBS’ "Face the Nation" on Sunday to discuss the persistent homelessness problem plaguing her city.

Host Margaret Brennen brought up a Washington Post report that suggested homeless shelters are now being filled with illegal immigrants being bused in from Texas and Arizona.

Bowser admitted that it’s a "significant issue" and called on the federal government to get more involved as she fears illegal immigrants are being "tricked" into traveling to her city.

"Well, this is a very significant issue. We have for sure called on the federal government to work across state lines to prevent people from really being tricked into getting on buses. We think they’re largely asylum seekers who are going to final destinations that are not Washington, D.C. I worked with the White House to make sure that FEMA provided a grant to a local organization that is providing services to folks. I fear that they’re being tricked into nationwide bus trips when their final destinations are places all over the United States of America," Bowser said.

Seems the illegal migrants are filling the Washington shelters now and she "fears" they are being tricked? Notice she didn't offer any specifics about such trickery, which is a fancy way of saying there hasn't been any trickery. Illegal border crossers are being offered free bus rides from Texas to Washington and a lot of them are taking the governor up on it, heading for the free stuff there after paying $7,000 to cartel human smugglers for the crossing. Cartels make money, cities and states lose money, and migrants get to stay in America for free.

Bottom line here is that her city's shelters are being flooded with illegals, the cost is has got to be enormous, the shelters can't keep up, and now she's whining. Yet this is precisely what happened in Texas in its border towns, and now that Gov. Abbott is "sharing the wealth" with Washington, D.C., she's out complaining about migrants "being tricked" since she dare not complain at all about the actual problem of an open border that incentivizes illegal crossing.

Where was she when Joe Biden was (and still is) shipping illegal migrants all throughout the country, to places like Ohio, or Florida, or Maine, or Hawaii, using the real trickery of doing it in the dead of night to avoid complaints from the public? Seems that kind of busing is O.K. for others, just not Washington, D.C. That exposes her as a hypocrite right there.

Here's another instance of her hypocrisy -- this item from 2016 can still be found on her own mayoral website:

(Washington, DC) Today, Mayor Bowser issued the following statement reaffirming the District’s status as a sanctuary city:

"The values, laws, and policies of Washington, DC did not change on Election Day. We celebrate our diversity and respect all DC residents no matter their immigration status. We are a sanctuary city because we know that our neighborhoods are safer and stronger when no one is afraid to call on our government for help, and when our police can focus on protecting and serving."

When no one is afraid to call on our government for help, Muriel? Step right up to the plate then.

But instead, she's busy complaining, and it's pretty obvious she doesn't like having to eat the cost.

What she's effectively saying in her complaint is that she wants Texas to pay all the costs of illegal migration, instead of her own city. And being part of the Democrat establishment, she's been all in for everything the Biden administration has done, from flying illegals to other people's cities, to denying the state of Texas federal relief funding to deal with the effects of the Biden-incentivized border surge.

It's all fine when it happens to someone else. But being a member of the swamp elites, she just doesn't want it in her backyard.

What's clear to the rest of us that Abbott's much derided "stunt" is working. These complaints from Bowser should filter through soon into the the Democrat elites' circles in the halls of power and at some point, there will be hell to pay.

Illegal Alien Indicted On Fentanyl Charges In Arizona: 'The Drugs...Are Enough To Kill Thousands Of People'

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/timothymeads/2019/07/01/illegal-alien-indicted-in-arizona-the-drugsare-enough-to-kill-thousands-of-people-n2549254

Timothy Meads

As the opioid epidemic continues to ravage families across America, authorities in Mesa, Arizona have arrested two individuals, including one illegal immigrant, on charges "of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl."

The Toledo Blade reports that the U.S. District Court in Toledo indicted Felipe Penuelas-Rodriguez, 50, and Reyna Trejo, 30, in late June after the pair were arrested after authorities discovered the two were attempting to distribute enough fentanyl to kill at least 500,000 individuals.

Penuelas-Rodriguez and Trejo were both arrested in June "with approximately one kilogram of fentanyl, as well as approximately 2,100 pills that tested positive for fentanyl."

While running background checks, authorities discovered that Penuelas-Rodrguez is an illegal alien.

“The drugs seized are enough to kill thousands of people,” U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman said in a statement. “The fentanyl pills stamped to look like prescription painkillers are another reminder that there are no safe drugs available on the street.”

While it is unclear where these laced pills originated, the narcotics confiscation follows a similar pattern across America. In February 2019, the United States Drug Enforcement Agency issued a press release after a similar, albeit much larger, drug bust occurred in New York City.

“These arrests highlight a growing trend in illicit street drugs which increases the risk of drug overdose,” DEA Special Agent in Charge Ray Donovan said the time. “Traffickers are mass producing pseudo-pharmaceutical pills made of heroin, fentanyl and other illicit drugs in makeshift laboratories throughout New York City. These pills attract users because they are more convenient and less conspicuous; but users should beware because they are unregulated and lethal. DEA and our law enforcement partners are committed to removing such threats and arresting drug dealers, traffickers and manufacturers.”

“If you take ‘prescription’ pills that did not come directly from a pharmacy, you are risking your life,” Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G Brennan added.

Both men in the Arizona case have pleaded not guilty. The case will be heard by Judge James Carr.

Democrats to Unveil Amnesty for Illegal Aliens as Inflation Slashes Americans’ Wages

Two House Democrats are planning to unveil a massive amnesty plan for illegal aliens even as Americans’ wages have been slashed by record-setting inflation.

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), a congressional ally to Silicon Valley’s tech corporations, and Norma Torres (D-CA) are set to unveil the amnesty plan that would enable millions of illegal aliens to secure green cards as long as they can prove they arrived in the United States before a particular date.

Bloomberg reports:

Democrats may unveil this week a bill to provide legal status to millions of immigrants who are longtime US residents. Reps. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) and Norma Torres (D-Calif.) said they’ll introduce a proposal to update the Immigration and Nationality Act’s registry provision, allowing immigrants to adjust their legal status if they have been in the US since a certain date. [Emphasis added]

Senate Democrats tried to include such an amnesty provision in a reconciliation package last year. That amnesty would have provided green cards to at least seven million illegal aliens living in the United States.

The amnesty was ultimately rejected by the Senate parliamentarian. Later, President Joe Biden snuck the same amnesty provisions into his “Build Back Better” budget, but the effort never passed Congress.

uch an amnesty would legalize millions of foreign workers who would immediately begin competing for United States jobs against unemployed Americans, even as inflation has slashed wages for America’s working and middle class.

survey by Sophisticated Investor, released this week, found that nearly 55 percent of Americans in the workforce have not seen their wages keep up with inflation. Only 14 percent of Americans surveyed said their wages have kept up with inflation.

A flooded labor market from mass immigration to the U.S. has had a devastating impact on America’s working and middle class while redistributing wealth to the highest earners and big businesses.

While creating an economy that tilts in favor of employers, the economic model helped keep wages stagnant for decades. Between 1979 to 2013, wage growth for the bottom 90 percent of Americans was just 15 percent. Meanwhile, wage growth for the top one percent of Americans was nearly 140 percent higher.

Researchers have found that a flooded labor market can easily diminish job opportunities and wages for Americans.

One study by the Center for Immigration Studies revealed that for every one percent increase in the immigrant portion of an American workers’ occupation, their weekly wages are cut by perhaps 0.5 percent. This means the average native-born American worker has his weekly wages reduced by potentially 8.75 percent as more than 17 percent of the workforce is foreign-born.

Today, there are anywhere from 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S.

With Biden in office, America’s southern border has vanished entirely.

https://mexicanoccupation.blogspot.com/2022/06/is-joe-bidens-open-borders-destroying.html

Mexico’s government has been issuing travel visas to most migrants, including members of caravans, that enter through the southern border, those visas give the migrant a specified time to travel freely through Mexico, Breitbart Texas reported. Most used those documents to reach the U.S. border.

THERE IS NO GREATER THREAT TO AMERICA THAN THE DEMOCRAT PARTY AND THEIR TECH BILLIONAIRES FOR OPEN BORDERS!

How Facebook Crushes Conservative News

A former Facebook engineer details how the company suppressed a Free Beacon report on the Biden administration's plan to fund the distribution of crack pipes to drug addicts

It took just hours after a Washington Free Beacon report on a Biden administration plan to distribute crack pipes to drug addicts at taxpayer expense for the Facebook fact-checkers to mobilize.

In a "fact check" titled "Biden Administration Is NOT Funding ‘Crack Pipes, Heroin' For Drug Use," Lead Stories—a prominent member of Facebook's third-party fact-checking program—concluded the Free Beacon report was "not true." Lead Stories based its determination on Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra's declaration, made days after the report elicited considerable blowback, that as Lead Stories phrased it, "none of the federal funds for harm reduction programs for drug addicts can be used to provide crack pipes."

"While a description of the HHS grants stated that the grantees would be required to buy materials like safe smoking kits and supplies to ‘enhance harm reduction efforts,' such kits and supplies are just a few of the many materials that grantees can utilize," Lead Stories added. The fact-checking system at Facebook, which I saw first hand during my time as a software engineer on Facebook's "Misinformation" fact-checking team between 2019 and 2021, hands monumental power to supposedly nonpartisan fact-checking organizations to quash legitimate news.

According to the original Free Beacon report, President Joe Biden's Department of Health and Human Services planned to implement a $30 million grant program that included the distribution of "safe smoking kits" to drug addicts. A spokesman for the administration told the Free Beacon that these "safe smoking kits" would—like many other similar existing kits across the nation—include pipes for the use of "any illicit substance." Another Facebook fact-checker, AFP Fact Check, also concluded the "U.S. grant program is not funding crack pipes for addicts."

As a result of this wave of fact-checking activity, Facebook posts linking to the Free Beacon report were tagged as "Partly False," thereby "significantly" reducing the "content's distribution so that fewer people see it," according to Facebook's own fact-checking policy.

The Free Beacon tried to fight the decision, but complaints fell on deaf ears. Lead Stories editor in chief Alan Duke insisted he had no responsibility to contact the Free Beacon before making a determination, which relied exclusively on the word of Biden administration officials. That's right: Lead Stories diminished the story's distribution on Facebook based on the word of Biden administration officials whose policies were suddenly under scrutiny.

"Your fact check on Lead Stories led to our highly trafficked piece being removed from Facebook. Is there a reason you didn't bother reaching out to our reporter or anybody at the Free Beacon?" the Free Beacon‘s executive editor, Brent Scher, asked Duke.

"Your article may be ‘highly trafficked' but it is also highly false," Duke, a former CNN reporter, responded. "Please let us know when you have updated it with the correct information, as shared in our article."

Duke, whose Twitter profile describes him as a "Facebook fact-checker," added that his duties required him only to contact government spokesmen—not the Free Beacon.

In this case, by "correct information," Lead Stories meant retroactive statements from government officials, including Sarah Lovenheim, an assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services, who called the Free Beacon report "blatant misinformation," as well as the claims of another HHS spokesman who called the piece "misleading and misinformed."

***

The crack pipe brouhaha raises a central question: Why is Lead Stories qualified to make these determinations in the first place, particularly when it and other fact-checking organizations routinely ignore the undeniable fact that politicians lie—especially when they've been caught? Moreover, why did Lead Stories ignore the fact that both its fact check and the original Free Beacon report effectively relied on the same source, especially when we consider that the subsequent political fallout could impact the Biden administration's public position?

Silicon Valley uses fact-checking organizations to shield itself from responsibility and wash its hands of political pressures to focus on financial objectives. Meanwhile, organizations like Lead Stories can pursue their financial and ideological hobby horses. Indeed, Lead Stories says the "bulk of our revenue originated from our work done as part of Facebook's Third-Party Fact Checking Partnership" in 2021, through its self-described focus on "trending stories," adding that "Facebook pays us to perform this service for them but they have no say or influence over what we fact-check or what our conclusions are, nor do they want to."

Fact-checking organizations enjoy independence regarding "what [they] fact-check or what [their] conclusions are," but that independence is dangerous when we consider their partisanship and the enormous power Silicon Valley has handed them.

The protective cycle of evasion makes recourse impossible. When the fact-checker doesn't care, and the Big Tech platform doesn't want to know, there is nowhere else to turn. The fact-checkers know this, allowing them to profit from the fact-checking system while using their relationships with Big Tech to exert control over the political narrative. But it is also worth noting how futile their efforts are: The Free Beacon report on crack pipes spread everywhere despite the best efforts of the Facebook hall monitors.

That said, as long as Facebook is able to evade responsibility, there is no reason to believe that a handful of left-wing journalists drunk on a little power will exercise it responsibly—or willingly surrender it.

The Biden Administration Insisted It Wouldn’t Fund Crack Pipes. A New Report Shows Otherwise.

The Biden administration is funding the distribution of crack pipes, according to a report from the Daily Caller, which indicates that so-called harm reduction facilities that received administration grants are in fact distributing the pipes.

The news comes after administration officials insisted taxpayer dollars would not be used for this purpose and described a Washington Free Beacon report on their harm reduction grant program as "misinformation." The Caller reported Friday, however, that it received two smoking kits that contain crack pipes, condoms, and lubricant from the New York Harm Reduction Educators, which received $398,960 in May from the Department of Health and Human Services through its harm reduction grant program.

The Caller received its crack pipes "after spending about 10 minutes on paperwork with basic information," according to the report. Not only were they given drug paraphernalia: The reporters were invited to smoke on the premises. One employee asked a reporter to use the crack pipe in a supervised room at the harm reduction center, saying the drug paraphernalia could not be used outside the facility because it was too close to a school.

When HHS announced the recipients of its $30 million harm reduction program in May, it included a note at the top of its grant webpage stating that "no federal funding is used directly or through subsequent reimbursement of grantees to purchase pipes in safer smoking kits." The announcement came after the Free Beacon first reported in February that the HHS harm reduction program was set to fund the distribution of crack pipes. The White House denounced the story as "disinformation" and said smoking kits funded by its program would not include a crack pipe. The Free Beacon subsequently obtained smoking kits in five East Coast cities that all contained crack pipes.

HHS, in a statement to the Caller, claimed the New York Harm Reduction Educators has yet to use the federal funds it received and that its purchases will have to be approved by the government.

The report comes as Congress moves to stop the Biden administration from funding crack pipe distribution. The House Appropriations Committee this month voted unanimously to include a provision in the HHS budget that prevents the agency from funding the drug paraphernalia.

"None of the funds made available by this Act should be used to purchase, procure, or distribute pipes or similar cylinder objects for smoking or inhaling any controlled substance in schedule 1 of the Controlled Substances Act," the amendment states.

The amendment vote comes one week after the House passed a separate Democrat-sponsored bill that similarly banned the department from funding crack pipes through mental health and substance abuse programs.

The votes signal that President Joe Biden's congressional allies no longer believe White House claims that the administration never planned to fund crack pipes. Rep. John Moolenaar (R., Mich.), who sponsored the amendment in the HHS funding package, said he was pleased that Democrats have now joined Republicans to hold Biden accountable for his radical policies.

"While most of the media stopped following the crack pipes story and some outlets tried to suppress it, the Free Beacon deserves a lot of credit for continuing to shine a light on this issue," Moolenaar told the Free Beacon. "Now even Democrats are recognizing this was an abuse of tax dollars."

Biden Admin Stonewalls on Release of Thousands of Illegal Immigrants Into New York

The Biden administration has spent nearly eight months stonewalling a congressional investigation into its relocation and vetting of nearly 3,000 illegal immigrant children to New York.

Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R., N.Y.), a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, accused the administration of stymieing congressional attempts to obtain information about a series of 2021 flights that carried unaccompanied immigrant children from the southern border to communities in New York.

"Almost eight months have passed since my initial letter, and six months since my second letter, and I have yet to receive a response from your administration," Garbarino wrote in a letter sent Friday to the White House and Department of Homeland Security, a copy of which was obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. "Now, additional acts of crime and violence are surfacing, and I remain troubled by the potential security and health risks that these undocumented migrants pose to my constituents."

Garbarino and other Republicans in Congress who oversee DHS suspect that the administration did not properly perform security screening and medical tests on these undocumented children before introducing them into U.S. communities, some of which have since experienced a spike in crime attributed to these illegal immigrants. The Biden administration tried to keep these flights secret, but media reports late last year exposed the effort, sparking congressional ire and a spate of investigations. Nearly a year later, it has become clear that the relocation of these minors poses a security risk, including increased recruitment by the MS-13 gang.

"The tactics you've used to transport migrants in the dead of night and your failure to provide state and local leaders with sufficient security or demographic data and resources has left Long Island communities to suffer the consequences of your misguided immigration policies," Garbarino wrote.

The lawmaker is asking the Biden administration to brief Congress on its relocation effort and hand over information "about who these people are, what their security vetting and COVID-19 screening status is, and how local resources will be impacted." Garbarino also wants details about "what you intend to do moving forward in light of these growing concerns about public safety and security in my district and in communities across the United States."

The Biden administration's "weak policies have directly resulted in an increased threat of crime and gang violence on Long Island," Garbarino wrote.

Last week, five teenagers living at the MercyFirst children's center in Syosset, N.Y., one of the locations to which illegal immigrants were sent, conducted a series of burglaries at seven small businesses that resulted in "thousands of dollars of damage as a result of the actions of unsupervised minors," according to Garbarino.

The burglaries came several months after a violent brawl broke out at MercyFirst, leaving one law enforcement officer with a broken hand and another with concussion.

These incidents have reignited concerns over the lack of security screening implemented by the administration when it decided to relocate the immigrant children.

"Ongoing media reports highlighting crime and violence surrounding the MercyFirst shelter brings to the forefront the question of whether if unaccompanied migrants relocated there by your administration have played a role in creating or exasperating the problem," Garbarino wrote.

Minors who are dumped into U.S. communities are susceptible to recruitment from violent gangs, such as MS-13, that prey on vulnerable children. The administration's refusal to provide Congress and state officials with information about these undocumented minors makes it more likely they will fall victim to gangs, Garbarino says.

"If we don't have a clear picture of who these children are and when they are being brought to New York, we can't safeguard them or our community from that eventuality," Garbarino wrote. "MS-13 is a scourge in my district and will continue to exploit the cracks in our nation's immigration system and corrupt vulnerable minors unless changes are made."

“Mexican authorities have arrested the former mayor of a rural community in the border state of Coahuila in connection with the kidnapping, murder and incineration of hundreds of victims through a network of ovens at the hands of the Los Zetas cartel. The arrest comes after Breitbart Texas exposed not only the horrors of the mass extermination, but also the cover-up and complicity of the Mexican government.”

‘Defund the Cartels’ — Rep. Mayra Flores Talks Border Crisis in Exclusive Interview

A newly-elected Texas Congresswoman is calling for the defunding of the Mexican cartels effectively in control of the U.S. southwestern border.

“We need to defund the cartels,” U.S. Congresswoman Mayra Flores said during an exclusive interview in Spanish with Breitbart News, where she talked about how criminal organizations from Mexico are the only ones benefiting from the current border crisis.

Flores made history in June when she became the first Mexican-born female to be elected to the House of Representatives. She flipped Texas Congressional District 34, which was historically a Democrat stronghold.

“Unfortunately, we have a border that is in control of criminal organizations,” Flores said, referring to the operational control along the border by the Gulf Cartel and the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas. Currently, the Gulf Cartel operates one of the most active human and drug trafficking corridors in Flores’s district. “It is a sad reality, but no one can cross the border into this country without having to pay thousands of dollars to criminal organizations.”

The issue which has been largely ignored by most politicians in Washington and helped create a cycle of violence and abuse where women and children suffer unspeakable horrors at the hands of cartel-connected smugglers, she said.

In many cases, victims suffer sexual and physical abuse. In other instances, victims are kidnapped and held for ransom. “It is something that is happening that in reality, it embarrasses me that it is happening in this country because we are better than that,” Flores added.

According to Flores, securing the border and creating a streamlined process for legal immigration would help to defund cartels.

“I believe that we need to secure our border and to help good people come here legally,” she said. “Where there is a safe process also where people can come without having to go through, like I said before, without having to go through hell.”

El Chapo’s Wife Arrested in Virginia on Drug Conspiracy Charge

The wife of notorious Mexican kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman faces drug trafficking charges after U.S. agents arrested her in Virginia. She is expected to appear before a judge Tuesday, February 23.

The arrest took place Monday at Dulles International Airport where authorities arrested 31-year-old Emma Coronel Aispuro, a prepared statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office revealed. Prosecutors claim Coronel took part in drug trafficking conspiracies and helped plan her husband’s second prison escape in 2015 from the Altiplano facility in Mexico. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Coronel is charged with one count of drug trafficking conspiracy.

El Chapo is serving a life sentence in a U.S. prison after a widely publicized trial where Mexico’s highest levels of government were named as having worked with the Sinaloa Cartel. Witness testimony points to current Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and his predecessor as having received money from El Chapo’s associates.

In October 2019, Lopez Obrador received significant criticism after he ordered authorities to release one of El Chapo’s sons in Sinaloa. Lopez Obrador claimed that the move was done to avoid bloodshed since the cartel gunmen threatened acts of extreme violence.

Authorities are investigating the inner workings of a new alliance between two of the most violent cartels in Mexico. Information exclusively confirmed to Breitbart Texas by top security officials suggests Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG) and La Linea are joining forces against the Sinaloa Cartel.

Breitbart Texas consulted top Mexican federal law enforcement sources who revealed meetings at the highest levels over concerns that an alliance was appearing to be forged. The allied goal is to stop the spread of factions from the Sinaloa Cartel as they make inroads in the border state of Chihuahua–putting La Linea’s interests near Texas at risk. Preliminary information does not yet specify if the alliance will lead to additional gunmen, weapons, or financial assistance from Jalisco. The turf war in Chihuahua has already led to more than 200 high-impact crimes since the beginning of 2021.

Chihuahua is home to Ciudad Juarez, a border city that once was known as the murder capital of the world after the long history of disputes between the Juarez Cartel (aka La Linea) and the Sinaloa Cartel. In a similar fashion, CJNG is currently considered the biggest rival to the Sinaloa Cartel as the two fight throughout Mexico for turf.

Last week, a fierce shootout between a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel known as Gente Nueva and La Linea led to a gory scene that sparked controversy after gunmen left three severed heads on an SUV. The Gente Nueva faction is currently led by Antonio Leonel “El 300” or “Bin Laden” Camacho Mendoza.

The shootout took place near Jimenez, leaving at least five dead gunmen, shot-up vehicles, and thousands of spent ammunition casings. Members of La Linea leaked video of a gunman severing the heads of fallen rivals while chanting the name of his organization.

Texas Towns Cope with Migrant Wave Not Tested for Coronavirus

President Joe Biden’s deputies are dropping many poor migrants with coronavirus into Americans’ neighborhoods, according to a report in the New York Times.

On February 23, the newspaper reported a statement about the drop-offs they say came from Juan “Trey” Mendez, the mayor of Brownsville:

“If it’s several hundred overnight, then that’s something that would become overwhelming for us,” said Mr. Mendez. “The administration is very well aware of that — we’ve conveyed that on numerous occasions.”

Elsewhere on the border, local officials are decrying the administration’s policy of dumping the poor migrants into Americans’ neighborhoods. CNN reported February 19:

… communities along the border in Texas have expressed concern about migrants being released during the pandemic. McAllen requested thousands of Covid-19 tests from state officials last month after learning migrants were not being tested by CBP.

“To drop them off at our bus station without testing them first? I think that’s irresponsible to not only the border but the whole United States,” said McAllen Mayor Jim Darling.

Biden’s deputies are encouraging the migrants to travel to the U.S. border so they can be released via a variety of legal covers. The covers include asylum applications, the 2015 Flores rule, or the 2008 law for supposedly unaccompanied minors.

Fortune 500 business groups back this progressive policy of extracting young migrants from Central America because it helps deliver more wage-cutting workers, taxpayer-aided consumers, renters, K-12 students, and diversity into the U.S. consumer market.

Even as agency officials release disease-carrying migrants into the United States, they are also claiming they will preserve President Donald Trump’s border protections. On February 19, for example, officials tweeted:

To protect our citizens and prevent the further spread of COVID-19, the United States, Canada, and Mexico are extending the restrictions on non-essential travel at our land borders through March 21.  We are also working to ensure essential trade and travel remain open.

The New York Times described the catch and release end of the migration process:

On Saturday, border agents dropped off a dozen migrants, all mothers and small children, outside the Brownsville bus station. Some said they were held longer than the 72-hour limit that border agents are allowed to detain children. Within minutes, a team of city officials and volunteers had begun setting up a station to test for the coronavirus. With a negative test, they were allowed into the station to continue their journey. If they tested positive, the volunteers used donations to pay for their quarantine at a local hotel — although it was not mandatory. Within three hours, the number of migrants at the station grew to about 50.

Doris, a mother of two boys who fled an abusive former partner in Guatemala and crossed the border in recent weeks, did not expect to be provided testing, blankets or coloring books for her children when she was dropped off on Saturday. “They’re very good people,” she said of the city staff and volunteers.

CNN noted that the Biden migrants are responding to Biden’s incentives:

Edwin Rubio and his family were dropped off at the McAllen bus station on a Wednesday morning in early February. Rubio told CNN they decided to make the trek from Honduras to seek asylum after President Joe Biden was elected. “There will be new laws, new immigration laws that will favor Latinos,” he said.

For years, a wide variety of pollsters have shown deep and broad opposition to labor migration and to the inflow of temporary contract workers into jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.

The multiracialcross-sexnon-racistclass-basedintra-Democratic, and solidarity-themed opposition to labor migration coexists with generally favorable personal feelings toward legal immigrants and toward immigration in theory — despite the media magnification of many skewed polls and articles that still push the 1950’s corporate “Nation of Immigrants” claim.

The deep public opposition is built on the widespread recognition that migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.

However, Biden’s officials have been broadcasting their desire to refocus the DHS and USCIS on helping to extract more migrants from Central America for the U.S. economy. On February 19, for example, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ deputies posted a tweet offering support to migrants illegally working in the United States and to migrants who may wish to live in the United States.

The fuss over 'kid in cages' was a crude gotcha by click-bait journos.
Fuss helps to hide the reality that Biden's facilities pump more blue-collar migrants into the economy – while Trump's facilities reduced the migration that shifts wages to Wall St.https://t.co/3wPnFX17Fa

Federal Judge Puts Indefinite Hold on Biden’s Plans to Halt Deportations

A federal judge in South Texas indefinitely extended his order stopping the Biden Administration’s plans to halt all deportations for 100 days. The new order effectively blocks President Joe Biden from his promise to temporarily stop deporting criminal migrants.

U.S. District Court Judge Drew Tipton placed an indefinite ban on the enforcement of President Biden’s memorandum ordering the cessation of all deportations for 100 days, Fox News reported. Tipton, a judge in the Southern District of Texas, issued a two-week restraining order after the Texas Attorney General’s Office filed a lawsuit in January claiming Biden’s order was unconstitutional.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton claimed the memorandum signed by President Biden violated an agreement between Texas and the Department of Homeland Security requiring consultation before such a move can be put into action. Paxton also said Biden’s executive order violates federal law.

“The Court’s decision to stop the Biden administration from casting aside congressionally enacted immigration laws is a much-needed remedy for DHS’s unlawful action,” Paxton said in a January statement. “A near-complete suspension of deportations would only serve to endanger Texans and undermine federal law.”

Fox News reported:

The agreement means that DHS must give Texas 180 days’ notice of any proposed change on any matter that would reduce enforcement or increase the number of “removable or inadmissible aliens” in the U.S. Paxton claims that agreement has been violated.

Under the judge’s order, the Biden executive order cannot be implemented by the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

During Fiscal Year 2020, which ended on September 30, 2020, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers deported 185,884 migrants who were ordered removed by a federal immigration judge. Of those, 92 percent had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges. The deportations also include 4,276 known or suspected gang members and 31 known or suspected terrorists, according to a year-end report published by ICE.

EXCLUSIVE: Feds Increase Migrant Releases amid Detention Space Shortages

U.S. Border Patrol issued instructions to begin the immediate release of migrants to avoid overcrowding in temporary holding facilities as ICE struggles to cope with increasing apprehension rates along the southwestern border.

This development follows a short-lived plan to move released migrants further inland to alleviate stress on the typically smaller border communities.

Now, ICE’s ability to transport illegal immigrants further into the United States is strained due to the new influx of migrants appearing in recent weeks, law enforcement sources tell Breitbart Texas.

In the Rio Grande Valley, more than 2,000 asylum seekers were apprehended within the last 48 hours. Sources report that at least 600 family unit members are in custody and cannot be returned to Mexico under the CDC Title 42 COVID-19 emergency order. Border Patrol agents are also struggling with the spike in single adults from Central America and far beyond the Americas.

The Rio Grande Valley has seen a 647% increase in family unit asylum seekers over the course of seven weeks. The peaks are seen across the southern border sectors, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the situation.

Prior to the cancellation the Trump administration’s agreements with Central American countries known as Asylum Cooperation Agreements (ACAs), seekers were swiftly returned to their home country when credible fear interviews disqualified them from further consideration. In addition, the Migrant Protection Protocols, also known as the Remain in Mexico Program, forced the returns of many to await hearing dates in Mexico and therefore avoided release into the United States.

Federal sources tell Breitbart Texas the order was received mid-afternoon today from CBP officials in Washington, D.C. to begin broader migrant releases as suitable detention space and nonprofit alternatives are overwhelmed.

ICE provided the following statement concerning the situation:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) constantly evaluates its posture at Family Residential Centers to meet changing operational needs. Custody determinations are made on a case-by-case basis in accordance with US law and DHS policy. Individuals can be released from custody based on the facts and circumstances of their cases, and may be placed in alternatives to detention, including release on recognizance, or formal monitoring programs.

The categories qualifying for release, as reported by law enforcement sources, in addition to family unit members not accepted by Mexico under the CDC Title 42 COVID-19 guidelines, includes all single adult apprehensions with no criminal history in the United States.

The new development further promises to burden small border communities and NGOs to absorb the mounting humanitarian and public health crises.

Current Mexican Border State Governor Faces Organized Crime Probe

Federal prosecutors in Mexico are targeting a border state governor in an organized crime investigation and are asking that nation’s legislature to strip his criminal immunity protections. Prosecutors also say they are reviewing money laundering and tax fraud allegations.

Federal prosecutors in a money-laundering task force from Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (FGR) filed a request with congressional leaders for hearings to remove criminal immunity and target Tamaulipas Governor Francisco Javier Cabeza de Vaca in connection with an investigation into organized criminal activity, money laundering, and tax fraud. The matter became public after Moises Ignacio Mier Velazco, a congressional leader with the MORENA Party, tweeted the document. The hearing is scheduled for Thursday, February 25.

— Ignacio Mier Velazco (@NachoMierV) February 24, 2021

During a morning news conference, Mexico’s Attorney General Alejandro Gertz Manero claimed that the investigation was not political, though Cabeza de Vaca is one of the most vocal opponents to current president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

La petición de desafuero para investigar al Gobernador de Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, no es una venganza ni tiene tintes políticos asegura el Fiscal Alejandro Gertz pic.twitter.com/EtQxnIR6S8

— Azucena Uresti (@azucenau) February 24, 2021

In response to the allegations, Cabeza de Vaca took to social media claiming he was the target of a political attack and that he was not notified of the matter but would fight the charges.

Morena filtra una supuesta acusación en mi contra. De nuevo el uso faccioso de la justicia donde no hay delito. Se orquesta una embestida política. Esperaré a ser notificado para tener detalles y fijar mi posición. Nunca he violado la ley. Me defenderé ante cualquier atropello.

— Fco. Cabeza de Vaca (@fgcabezadevaca) February 24, 2021

Mexico’s Financial Intelligence Unit previously revealed to news outlets that they had an open investigation into Cabeza de Vaca’s family on money laundering concerns. In August, the border state governor denied allegations of being tied to cartels during a news conference with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. Cabeza de Vaca warned about playing politics with allegations of ties to organized crime because such “games” risked lives.

Aquí jugarle a la politiquería cuesta vidas, Señor Presidente.

Y ahora quieren desaforarlo y abrirle carpeta en la FGR.

Ajá, no son iguales.
Salieron mucho peores.

— LuisCardenasMX (@LuisCardenasMx) February 24, 2021

Most recently, Cabeza de Vaca was tied to controversy after after a dozen state police officers murdered and incinerated Central American migrants in route to the Texas Border. The massacre is the latest of a series of allegations of police brutality and cooperation with cartels.

Clark: Biden’s Amnesty Bill Worsens Flaws in America’s Broken Immigration System

Last week, the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021 was submitted to Congress as the first major immigration-related legislation of the Biden Administration. It consists of more than 350 pages of amendments to existing federal laws.

The first action out of the gate focuses on terminology: every reference to the word “alien” in existing statutes are removed and replaced with the word “non-citizen.”

The bill ponders amnesty for more than 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States who have been physically present since or before January 1, 2021. It also creates and funds a slew of programs like economic incentives to improve education and employment opportunities for Central American asylum seekers and refugees.

The bill allocates $4 billion to tackle what the White House considers are root problems for irregular migration. Funds are dedicated to address extensive poverty, provide workforce development, school safety, teacher training, and small business resources in Central America.

Social Security cards and work authorization permits are made available to applicants. Tax dollars are also earmarked for domestic advertising campaigns to promote the amnesty offer. Community centers offering legal advice are also promised.

Catch-and-Release becomes federal law. Section 4305, Alternatives to Detention, allows asylum applicants released along the U.S. border to be placed in community supervision programs. Local communities–not ICE—would account for the supervision and whereabouts of newly released migrants.

The bill authorizes federal grants to assist public school districts to improve educational opportunities for asylum seekers. It also provides grants to communities to offer workforce training. The bill prohibits universities from charging out of state tuition.

The mere promise of the legislation is a signal to economic migrants abroad that now is the time to find a way to the United States. History has shown, especially under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA), that eligibility or lack thereof can at times be hard to prove. More than three million illegal immigrants applied for amnesty under IRCA. It was designed to provide amnesty for those physically present in the United States prior to 1982 and to those who had worked in agriculture for a total of 90 days. The bipartisan measure also boosted the ranks of the Border Patrol. Added in were enforcement provisions that sanctioned employers who hired illegal immigrants in the future. Those sanctions ultimately proved to be a bust.

Estimates of the level of fraud under IRCA varied, but to Border Patrol Agents working at the time, it was obvious. The current legislation would provide equal opportunity to game the system based upon the sheer volume of anticipated applications.

Some past amnesty recipients who were arrested by Border Patrol for human trafficking or narcotics smuggling demonstrated little knowledge about agricultural work. As part of the criminal case files, these frauds were documented. Facing political pressure, suspects were ultimately convicted on smuggling matters alone.

If enacted today, the volume of applications would surely result in a rubber-stamp approval process, much like what was seen in the 1980s. As a result of IRCA, fly by night immigration consultants quickly opened businesses to capitalize on the application process. In some instances, undercover investigators with the Border Patrol posed as amnesty seekers who were clearly ineligible. In some cases, they were turned away. In others, they were sold fraudulent documents to bolster claims of eligibility. The latter cases resulted in the arrests and prosecutions of the business owners.

The fraudulent operations from the 1980s risk being repeated under the Biden plan. The requirement to have been physically present in the U.S. prior to January 1, 2021 will be easily defeated with a fraudulent rent receipts or other witness statements. Investigating every single claim of eligibility beyond face value information would be insurmountable, given the expected volume of cases.

The COVID-19 pandemic is brushed aside under the proposed bill. The legislation does not address testing or vaccinations for new arrivals at the border.

The U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021, in sum, exacerbates some of the most broken elements of the American immigration system and ignores lessons from the recent past.

Three Kidnap Victims Rescued After Border City Shootout in Mexico

Tamaulipas Government

CARTEL CHRONICLES

20 Feb 202123

2:35

REYNOSA, Tamaulipas – State police officers in Mexico rescued three kidnapping victims after a shootout with suspected cartel gunmen in the border city of Reynosa.

The rescue took place early on Friday morning when Tamaulipas state police officers patrolling the central part of the city spotted a sand-colored SUV carrying suspected gunmen. The officers attempted to pull over the vehicle. Rather than stop, the gunmen sped away leading authorities in a chase. During the chase, the gunmen fired at police with AK-47 rifles setting off a short but intense gun battle.

The gunmen fired several rounds into the police vehicle forcing them to slow down as the gunmen pulled away. The gunmen were then able to leave the vehicle and run away. When police officers reached the vehicle they found a wounded woman and two men in the vehicle. The three individuals were handcuffed and are believed to have been kidnapping victims. The victims were taken to a local hospital.

The shootout and kidnapping come at a time when the border city of Reynosa faces a continuing spike in armed robberies and high-impact crimes. Officials attribute the crime wave to a cash shortage in the Reynosa faction of the Gulf Cartel. The criminal organization is linked to numerous carjackings, armed robberies, kidnappings, and extortions. The lack of funds is tied not only to smuggling activities but also to the expense of two long-term turf wars — one to the east with a rival faction of the Gulf Cartel from Matamoros and one to the west with the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas.

The shootouts with the CDN-Los Zetas do not take place in Reynosa, but further west near Miguel Aleman and surrounding areas. The shootouts with the Matamoros faction of the Gulf Cartel routinely take place in the east side of Reynosa, near the Pharr International Bridge, and the international airport.

Editor’s Note: Breitbart Texas traveled to the Mexican States of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities.  The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and in their original Spanish. Vicente Fox sticks his nose into the El Chapo case

By Silvio Canto, Jr.

Vicente Fox got off to a great start by winning the 2000 presidential election and putting an end to 70-something years of one-party rule in Mexico.   It was historic and very promising but did not quite work out as most Mexicans anticipated.  To be fair, the Mexican swamp is a bit more complicated than ours.

Since leaving office in 2006, President Fox has found a way of sticking his nose in everything, especially getting into fights with President Trump over the border wall.

He is back in the news with a rather interesting tweet about Emma Coronel Aispuro, El Chapo's young pretty wife.   By the way, how do they say "trophy wife" in Spanish?  I'm not sure, but Emma fits the description.

"El Presidente" Fox tweeted about the arrest and a lot of Mexicans are wondering what in the world he's talking about.  He wrote in Spanish something like this:  "Don't worry, Emma.  The president will come to the rescue!!

What's that supposed to mean?  President Lopez-Obrador is going to intervene to get her out of the U.S.?   I think that he was referring to the 2020 arrest of a former Mexican defense secretary, retired Gen. Salvador Cienfuegos.  He was accused of drug trafficking and money laundering, the same as El Chapo's wife.

I asked a couple of Mexican friends south of the border and got a couple of  interesting responses:

First, Vicente Fox is just looking for attention.  He wants an interview with CNN; and,

Second, El Chapo just wants his pretty wife in prison so he can spend more time with her.

Time will tell but Mexican politics just gets more and more interesting all the time.

Mexican President AMLO Lectures Americans: Reject ‘Conservatism,’ Accept ‘Transformation’

Feds Seize 5,000 Pounds of Meth Setting Record for California Border County

Biden's Deathly Presidency

By Jeffrey Folks

For four years under President Trump, America enjoyed peace, security, and unparalleled prosperity.  Trump's presidency was a historic era of good times in which we began to regain faith in the American Dream.  Now we have the nightmare, and the death and destruction that go with it.

Yes, the Trump Era was prosperous, with historically low unemployment rates, low inflation, energy independence, and rising wages.  But aside from that, the most important thing about Trump's presidency was the fact that Americans were secure, as they had not been under Obama and certainly are not under Biden.  Under Trump, America was in so many senses vibrant and "alive" with pride in our country and hope for its future.

Now we have regular mass shootings in which citizens disarmed by the State have no way to defend themselves.  Overseas, we have a war in Ukraine, the threat of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, and Iran developing nuclear weapons with the encouragement of the Biden administration.  The common thread is death and the fear that goes with it.  And this does not even include Biden's aggressive defense of abortion on demand.

Under President Trump, I lived without fear.  I knew that Trump supported my right to defend my home and that he supported the police who defended me as well.  Just having the president and his administration on my side made me breathe easier.  America was moving in the right direction, as was confirmed by every opinion poll during Trump's time in office before COVID was unleashed.

Long-term death rates are more a matter of demographics than policy, and they have been rising ever since Obama took office in 2008.  But murder rates, deaths in war and civil unrest, drug overdose deaths, and accidental deaths are attributable to policy, and they have been rising under Biden, even during his short time in office.  Under Biden, the U.S. murder rate, which had been declining under President Trump, is the highest in 25 years.  According to former N.Y. police commissioner Howard Safir, the spike in violence is partly attributable to lack of support for police and soft-on-crime prosecutors.  And it is Biden, with his anti-police rhetoric and refusal to prosecute (as in the case of those picketing Justice Kavanaugh's home), who is responsible for this climate of anarchy.

Now I plan my trips carefully, avoid eye contact with strangers, and carry only a driver's license and credit card.  I drive inconspicuously as well, given the explosion of road rage incidents.

The most galling thing is that Biden never says a word about the victims of crime unless he can twist the incident into an anti-gun lecture, and he takes no action to protect anyone, especially law-abiding citizens in middle-class neighborhoods like my own.  In this and so many other ways, he seems on the side of those who wish to destroy us.  It's no accident that murder rates are spiraling at home and war is breaking out overseas.  Both are a response to Biden's weakness, and death is the consequence.

I fear there will be more death ahead.  I expect an invasion in Taiwan, Moldova, or Finland, and new outbreaks of violence in the Middle East involving either Iran or its surrogates.  The incomprehensible Iran deal, which Biden is pushing, would "make Biden 'the biggest funder of terrorism in the world,'" according to Rep. Jim Banks.  "Terrorism" is not just a derogatory word; it is the act of murdering innocent human beings, including women and children.  Hasn't that fact entered into Biden's Iran deal calculations?

Biden's weakness has emboldened our enemies, and their actions pose a threat to our security.  This is the way major wars begin.  They can be prevented only by the projection of force of the kind we saw under President Trump, and Biden projects about as much force as a lady's fan.  His weakness will get us into another war, and our young men and women will die in that war.  There is death hanging over us, and Biden seems oblivious, fumbling with his note cards to find some kind of answer.

There is a new national mood in America unlike anything I've seen since the 1960s: a sense of foreboding and caution based on the very real threat of violence and collapse.  There are more threats to our country, including the wealth destruction of inflation, to which Biden simply rolls his eyes, chuckles, and whispers some idiotic riposte.  There are more criminal gangs, and Biden just welcomes more in.  There is more road rage, more random shooting, more felons out on no bond/low bond.  And there is a callous and brutal disregard for the lives of the unborn.

In response to the mounting violence, Biden seems remote, fuddling with his microphone like a man slipping into dementia, and those around him seem inept, if not callous, including his new press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, who is said to have "frequently stumbled" during her first weeks.  A president who is weak and advisers who are incompetent and anti-American to boot — that is a recipe for disaster, and disaster will end, as it always does, in poverty, destruction, and death.

There are bullies in the world who watched as Biden stumbled out of Afghanistan, and bullies don't have much respect for doddering fools who just want to survive a four-year term and leave a mess for someone else to clean up.

As a citizen, it is difficult to watch my country besieged by violence.  Biden's presidency has been deadly in every respect: turning off economic growth and imposing environmental restrictions, proposing inflation-adjusted cuts in national defense while paying off student loans, and putting citizens at risk with his anti-police rhetoric.

There is little chance of a second Biden term, but just another two and a half years is painful to imagine.  How many thousands will lose their lives because of one incompetent and wrong-headed leader?  How far will America go into danger and destruction?  And how much more difficult will it be for our next president, Trump or a Trump lookalike, to repair the damage and Make America Safe Again?

Republican Study Committee Creates Holistic Immigration Plan to Raise Wages, Grow Middle Class

The RSC Budget would prohibit federal funds from going to cities or jurisdictions operating as sanctuaries for illegal immigrants. There are at least 190 of these so-called sanctuary jurisdictions across the country,[7] and many cities have seen increased crime rates since declaring themselves sanctuary cities.[8

JOE BIDEN AND THE NAFTA DEMOCRAT PARTY’S VISION OF NO BORDER WITH NARCOMEX AND NO LEGAL NEED APPLY

Mexico’s president is reviving calls for a continental superstate that would combine North American employers and South American employees – and sideline tens of millions of middle-class Americans. NEIL MUNRO

What's more, Mexico generally benefits from shipping its surplus uneducated population to the states to take the pressure valve off the potential for unrest. Corrupt Mexican officials often reap "fees" from letting illegal migrants from other countries as well as their own pass through their territory. MONICA SHOWALTER

The same continent-wide superstate was pushed in 2001 by President G.W. Bush and Mexico’s then-president, Vicente Fox. Their unpopular “Any Willing Worker” plan would have allowed U.S. employers to easily import low-wage employees from central and south America. It was derailed following the 9/11 attack.

The policy would spike Wall Street and Fortune 500 profits by giving them floods of cheap foreign workers plus many new foreign consumers. NEIL MUNRO

With Biden in office, America’s southern border has vanished entirely.

So, while we in America are getting a fair number of sex traffickers; mountains of fentanyl; low skilled, illegal workers who drive down wages; and more welfare mouths to feed, the Latin Americans who come here mostly want to work and mostly hew to traditional western, Christian values.       ANDREA WIDBURG

JUDICIAL WATCH:

“The greatest criminal threat to the daily lives of American citizens are the Mexican drug cartels.”

“Mexican drug cartels are the “other” terrorist threat to America. Militant Islamists have the goal of destroying the United States. Mexican drug cartels are now accomplishing that mission – from within, every day, in virtually every community across this country.” JUDICIAL WATCH
