LLOYD BILLINGSLEY - YES, I CON - BARACK OBAMA AND THE CON JOB OF THE CENTURY

They knew Obama was an unqualified crook; yet they promoted him. They knew Obama was a train wreck waiting to happen; yet they made him president, to the great injury of America and the world. They understood he was only a figurehead, an egomaniac, and a liar; yet they made him king, doing great harm to our republic (perhaps irreparable.) ALLAN ERICKSON

We are talking about the Clintons, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Frank, Wasserman-Schultz, Biden, Leahy, Durbin, Murray, Kennedy, Hagel, Kerry, Dodd, Hoyer, Baucus, and many others.
They all knew Obama was an empty suit; yet for private gain and personal advancement, they trampled on the flag, betraying the very people they claim to serve, preferring Party to principle. During the 2008 campaign, they said he was unqualified, ill-prepared, and unsuited for the office. Yet when his crooked ways carved out primary victory, they jumped on board the Ship of Fools, stoking his engine with lies, deception, and propaganda. Hillary knew he stole victory; but like a good Party operative, she buttoned her lip and took orders, submitting to authority and covering criminality.

Yes I Con

Lloyd Billingsley's new book unveils the United Fakes of America.

Mark Tapson is the Shillman Fellow on Popular Culture for the David Horowitz Freedom Center.
Rachel Dolezal, the white woman who rose to president of an NAACP chapter by pretending to be black. Jussie Smollett, the black actor who blamed a fake hate crime on MAGA hat-wearing white rednecks. Senator Elizabeth Warren, who parlayed a false claim of Native American heritage into acceptance at Harvard Law School.  These are just a few of the most controversial recent examples of Democrats attempting to dupe the public in order to further their careers and/or their radical agendas.
That’s the theme of the new book Yes I Con: United Fakes of America by FrontPage Mag contributor Lloyd Billingsley, author of Hollywood Party: How Communism Seduced the American Film Industry in the 1930s and 1940sBill of Writes: Dispatches from the Political Correctness Battlefield, and more. In Yes I Con, Billingsley presents several exhibits of evidence of the left’s habitual fraudulence and self-deception, including Presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Barack Hussein Obama, Somali-born Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and stolen valor perpetrator Sen. Richard Blumenthal, purported gay rights icon Harvey Milk and the aforementioned Elizabeth “Fauxcahontas” Warren, and more. He also indicts the left-leaning media’s complicity in covering up or turning a blind eye to these duplicities.
I asked Billingsley some questions about his new short book for FrontPage Mag.
Mark TapsonLloyd, you open with a quote from Gibbon’s Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire about the conscience going silent in the “middle state between self-illusion and voluntary fraud.” Do you think the leftist deception you recount in the book stems more from self-delusion, outright fraud, or a combination? In other words, have leftists simply normalized and justified their deceit in their own minds?
Lloyd Billingsley: It’s a combination and a process. Self-delusion can remain a personal problem until the person deploys it to deceive others. That requires the deluded party to silence the conscience in the progression to outright fraud. For example, no harm if Elizabeth Warren fancies herself a Cherokee, but it takes some doing to make that claim the basis of a career, more so to maintain it after the fraud has been exposed beyond any doubt. That’s what Gibbon was on about.
MTThe foreword to your book is titled, “The Syndrome Beyond Satire.” What is the syndrome beyond satire?
LB: It’s all about subjunctive mood, which used to give me trouble until a French professor nailed it as the sense of irréalité. Under today’s dictatorship of the subjunctive mood, unreality prevails. The world will end in twelve years, Green New Dealers warn. Hillary Clinton proclaims Army veteran Tulsi Gabbard a “Russian asset.” MAGA-hatted rednecks attempt to lynch Jussie Smollett in Chicago. And so on. It’s all “unreal,” as we used to say in the sixties.
MTOne of your chapters addresses murdered – some would say “martyred” – San Francisco supervisor Harvey Milk, who has been lionized by the left and immortalized on film as a gay rights champion. What’s the truth about Milk?
LB: Milk was something of a ne’re-do-well who managed to get elected in San Francisco. He’s billed as the first “openly gay” candidate but never outed as the pederast he definitely was. Milk was not, as he claimed, kicked out of the Navy for being gay. His murder was all about [fellow SF supervisor] Dan White trying to get his job back, as Dianne Feinstein said at the time, and had nothing to do with homosexuality. To say the least, his martyr status is much in doubt.
MTOne of the lesser-known figures you cover is San Diego congressional candidate Ammar Campa-Najjar, whose Palestinian grandfather was one of the terrorists who killed 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics. Can you elaborate a little on what he might be concealing?
LB: After the Israelis took out his grandfather, Ammar’s father was on the run across the Middle East, so Ammar could be concealing any role his father played with the Black September terrorists. Campa-Najjar claims his father wanted to come to the United States and that the USA “wanted him” as an immigrant. It remains uncertain if Ammar’s father ever came to the United States, but he is an official with the Palestinian Authority, and boastful of his father’s role in the Munich massacre. If Ammar has any documentation for these moves he might be hiding it.
Ammar says he moved from San Diego back to Gaza, then back to San Diego again. Ammar compares the 9/11 attacks with the vandalization of his Islamic school in San Diego. In 2012 he gets a job with the Obama administration, then in 2018 he runs against a vulnerable Republican. All very convenient, and mysterious.
MTMuch of the book focuses on Barack Obama. Why do you describe his purported autobiography Dreams From My Father as “historical fiction”?
LB: I’m quoting the ex-president’s official biographer, David Garrow, the Pulitzer Prize-winner who in the 2017 book Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama proclaimed the Dreams book a novel and the author a “composite character.” In Yes I Con, I cite reasons why even the casual reader back in 1995 would see it that way. The fictions jump right off the page and Garrow cites reporters who say the composite character’s story is “not entirely true” and something he and [former Obama advisor] David Axelrod cooked up. As we know, the composite character became president of the United States, a development of some importance.
MTWhat is the left-leaning news media’s role and responsibility in all this “self-illusion and voluntary fraud,” from Franklin Delano Roosevelt all the way through Elizabeth Warren?
LB: FDR demanded that reporters take no photographs of him in a wheelchair and the reporters obeyed. The White House laid down the rules and reporters essentially protected the president. It took nearly half a century for the “splendid deception” story to emerge in any detail. This is a case of what Julien Benda called la trahison de clercs, or as Roger Kimball puts it, the treason of the intellectuals.
In similar style, the establishment media, “presidential historians” and such accepted Dreams From My Father as authentic autobiography and attacked skeptics as “birthers,” racists and so forth. This continues after David Garrow proclaimed the Dreams book a novel, the author a composite character. As Saul Bellow said, a great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep.
The establishment media failed to challenge Campa-Najjar’s unbelievable story but did better exposing Warren’s false claims and Sen. Richard Blumenthal’s fakery about serving in Vietnam. On the other hand, neither resigned from the Senate and Warren seeks the presidency of the United States. The dictatorship of subjunctive mood is bad news for those committed to facts, truth and reality. The cons, fakes and frauds never have to say they’re sorry.
They Destroyed Our Country

The Ship of Fools also carried members of the 'progressive' propaganda press, people who made it a full time job to promote the Democrat agenda and the joke called the Obama Administration: Chris Matthews, Rather, Maddow, Schultz, Olbermann, Moyers, Sullivan, Friedman, Huffington, Sharpton, and Krugman and legions of others.

They banded together with the likes of Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, George Soros, Saul Alinsky, Khalid Al-Mansour, Rashid Khalidi, and legions of other radical Islamists, communists, and assorted America-haters. Embarrassingly, many Republicans and so-called conservatives either helped the farce along or were used as pawns in the promotion of the hoax. But the greatest disgrace of all were evangelicals. Through sloth or ignorance, they either voted for the poser or stayed at home on election day.
And what progress have the "progressives" delivered?
A ruined economy.
Insurmountable debt.
Bankruptcy.
Record numbers on disability and food stamps, a dependency class mushrooming out of control.
Federal despotism.
Domestic chaos, violence, and deepening divisions.
Systemic demoralization.
Emboldened enemies.
Erosion of constitutional protections.
Looming tyranny.
Loss of global standing.
...AND SABOTAGED OUR BORDERS WITH NARCOMEX TO BUILD THE LA RAZA DEM PARTY of ILLEGALS!
Now, with whistleblowers finally getting an ear on The Hill and in the media, we are learning the truth about Benghazi. We are seeing the end of Obama as a consequence; but, even if he exits, the disease remains.

They knew he was a catastrophe. They knew ObamaCare was a train wreck. They knew. Yet they proceeded, and they may have destroyed our country. For that, they can never be forgiven.

SUICIDAL IMMIGRATION - IT HAPPENED TO SWEDEN, IT HAPPENED TO CALIFORNIA - WHAT NEXT?

JUDICIAL WATCH:

America builds the La Raza “The Race” Mexican welfare state

Illegal Immigration Costs U.S. Taxpayers a Stunning $134.9 Billion a Year

IT’S MEXICO SUCKING THE BLOOD OF AMERICA…. HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS FOR WELFARE, “FREE” HEALTHCARE, HEROIN SALES, CRIME COST AND THEN THEY SEND TENS OF BILLIONS BACK TO NARCOMEX

“In the U.S. the remittances that come of illegal immigration drive down U.S. wages, particularly of those on the lowest-skilled parts of the ladder, and as money flows out from local communities, leaves them underinvested and run-down. Nobody can live two places at once. Illegal immigrants live here but their money lives in Mexico. And it's often untaxed.” MONICA SHOWALTER

Los Angeles County Pays Over a Billion in Welfare to Illegal Aliens Over Two Years

In 2015 and 2016, Los Angeles County paid nearly $1.3 billion in welfare funds to illegal aliens and their families. That figure amounts to 25 percent of the total spent on the county’s entire needy population, according to Fox News.
The state of California is home to more illegal aliens than any other state in the country. Approximately one in five illegal aliens lives in California, Pew reported.
Approximately a quarter of California’s 4 million illegal immigrants reside in Los Angeles County. The county allows illegal immigrant parents with children born in the United States to seek welfare and food stamp benefits.
The welfare benefits data acquired by Fox News comes from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services and shows welfare and food stamp costs for the county’s entire population were $3.1 billion in 2015, $2.9 billion in 2016.
The data also shows that during the first five months of 2017, more than 60,000 families received a total of $181 million.

Over 58,000 families received a total of $602 million in benefits in 2015 and more than 64,000 families received a total of $675 million in 2016.

Whitewashing the Swedish Nightmare

Sometimes libertarianism is the enemy of liberty.

Bruce Bawer

Bruce Bawer is a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center and the author of While Europe Slept and Surrender: Appeasing Islam, Sacrificing Freedom, among others.
Poking around YouTube the other day, I stumbled across a 2018 documentary that was written and hosted by Johan Norberg, a 46-year-old Swedish economist who is a Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute, the libertarian think tank in Washington, and who is one of his country’s leading boosters of free trade and free markets. This was hardly Norberg’s first venture into the documentary form: in 2003, Britain’s Channel 4 aired Globalisation is Good, in which Norberg celebrated the prosperity created in Taiwan and Vietnam through the outsourcing of factory jobs from the U.S. – but neglected to breathe a word about the catastrophic impact of that outsourcing on millions of American workers.
Norberg’s 2018 documentary is entitled Sweden: Lessons for America? In it, he traces Sweden’s economic ups and downs over the last couple of centuries: once a dirt-poor land in the grip of guilds and regulations, Sweden embraced the free market and low taxes – resulting in a century of burgeoning prosperity – only to “screw it up” in the 1960s by introducing a big-government welfare state that charged Pippi Longstocking author Astrid Lindgren a 102% income rate and Ingmar Bergman 139%. (He fled to Germany.) From 1976 to 1995, Sweden went downhill; interest rates hit 500%; IKEA moved its headquarters abroad. But the story, as Norberg tells it, has a happy ending: the 1990s brought reforms – deregulation, lower taxes, school vouchers, widespread privatization of public services, no minimum wage – that resulted in a first-rate climate for entrepreneurship and innovation and a “very productive private economy” that yields enough wealth to fund generous welfare benefits and pensions. America, we’re urged in Norberg’s conclusion, should look to Sweden as a model.
Some observers would contest Norberg’s explanation of how Sweden attained economic success. “It got to be one of the richest countries in the world,” Swedish comedian Aron Flam said on a 2017 podcast, ”by staying out of two world wars and selling arms to both sides” and, during the Cold War, relying on NATO (which it never joined) for free defense. But let’s put history aside for now and focus on the present. At the outset of his documentary, Norberg promises to show us “what it’s like to live in Sweden today.” When it comes to this topic, his show is a masterpiece of evasion – one that echoes much of the nonsense one often encounters in glowing libertarian accounts of the “Swedish model.” Libertarians, when they talk about Sweden, like to deny that Sweden is socialist, even though the country was ruled for decades by a party that identified as socialist; in any event, the fact remains that Swedes are, by nature, collectivist, statist, consensus-oriented, and anti-individualistic – scared to challenge received opinion and eager to join in ostracizing those who do.
They’re also, thanks to years of suicidal immigration policies, living in a social, economic, and cultural nightmare – to quote Flam, “a slow, simmering war zone.” In the cities, violent crime, shootings, gang rapes, car burnings, massive explosions, and even grenade-throwing have become routine. Just in the last couple of weeks, the chief of the National Police, Anders Thonberg, has put in an urgent request for backup from the military, and Ulf Kristersson, head of the Moderate Party, has charged the government with losing “control of what is happening in Sweden.” A few weeks ago, after a gang of armed thugs raided a Christmas party at a private home in the city of VästerÃ¥s, robbing and brutalizing twenty or so guests, a neighbor commented: “It’s the Wild West here in Sweden.” (Not true: Wild West crime rates were almost surely lower, and settlers had guns to defend themselves.)
In a January 13 blog post, a cleric named Helena Edlund observed that in her hometown of Malmö it became normal some time ago “to wake up to bombs and bullets”; now, she laments, the same is the case in the most exclusive parts of central Stockholm, where she lives now. “I have lost count of the friends whose family members have been robbed, beaten, raped, or had their cars burned or stairs blown up,” she wrote. “For those who have lived in relative security in the country's more privileged areas, this is something new, but those who live in vulnerable areas have had it this way for many years.” The same politicians whom Norberg extols unreservedly for making today’s Sweden wealthy and dynamic are accused by Edlund of having “destroyed” the country with their open-border policy and their readiness to roll out the welcome mat for “terrorists.” Addressing those pols, Edlund asks: “What advice do you have for those of us who loved Sweden’s peace and security? Where should we go to seek asylum?”  The perpetrators of all this mayhem, of course, are Muslims, either immigrants or the children of immigrants – people to whom Sweden provided refuge and whom it has rewarded lavishly for not working. Most of them reside in no-go sharia enclaves where even the cops fear to tread. In 2016, a 60 Minutes Australia film crew was beaten by Somali migrants in Rinkeby, a no-go zone in Stockholm that is also known as “Little Mogadishu.” (“This,” said host Liz Hayes, “is a country that’s barely coping”; in an interview, an activist told her that Sweden is “on the brink of an economic and cultural disaster.”) Last September, a news team for Sweden’s SVT was targeted by stone throwers at the construction site for a new mosque in Stenhagen (“stone grove”), a no-go zone in Uppsala.
Then, last December 12, journalist Joakim Lamotte ventured, video camera in hand, into the town square of another no-go zone, KronogÃ¥rden in the city of Trollhätten, thereby attracting the attention of several dozen young Muslim men, most of them masked, who (as can be seen here and here) gradually closed in on him, verbally harassed him, demanded that he leave “their” turf, and finally struck him repeatedly and stole his video equipment. Several police officers were present, but did nothing to protect Lamotte and made no arrests, even though a couple of them were also physically assaulted by the thugs. How did Lamotte’s fellow Swedish journalists respond to this horror show? By mocking him and expressing support for his attackers. Robert Aschberg, a prominent Aftonbladet columnist, accused Lamotte of being a profiteering, self-dramatizing attention-seeker; Mathias StÃ¥hle of Svenska Dagbladet tweeted that Lamotte’s account of being beaten and robbed made him “giggle.” The Swedish media’s take on this story was so egregious that even the BBC ran a report calling them out and treating Lamotte sympathetically.
Fortunately, after decades of polite PC silence, more and more Swedes are finally admitting that they’re in deep trouble – hence the fast-rising support for the upstart Sweden Democrats, who call for serious immigration controls. Yet too many mainstream politicians and journalists remain in denial. Legislator Isabella Lövin asserted in 2016 that Sweden, with “the world’s first feminist government,” is nothing less than a beacon of hope for the Western world; as of last November, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven was still sticking to the line that the underlying cause of all this lawlessness is high unemployment in certain neighborhoods; the felons’ cultural and religious backgrounds, he insisted, are irrelevant. In Sweden: Lessons for America?, Norberg lauds the newspaper Aftonbladet; in a bracingly blunt 2019 op-ed about elite Swedish views on immigration, Norwegian author Kjetil Rolness accused that paper (the flagship publication of the Swedish elite) of “almost pathological denial of realities, in favor of wishful thinking and virtue signaling.”
In 2016, the Spectator ran an unusually frank article by Tove Lifvendahl, the political editor of Svenska Dagbladet, about Sweden’s immigration challenges; but its subtitle was telling: “We’ve taken in far too many people and we’re letting them down badly – especially the children.” This is the Swedish establishment mentality in a nutshell: even when they’re being honest about the problem, they reflexively feel obliged to express more concern for immigrants than for native Swedes – more concern for evildoers, indeed, than for their victims. Note the comment made by Stockholm police chief Jan Evensson a couple of years ago: “It’s hard to be a criminal. We want to help them get out of it.”
BLOG: 93% OF THE MURDERS IN MEXICO'S SECOND LARGEST CITY OF LOS ANGELES ARE BY MEXICANS. IN CALIFORNIA HALF THE MURDERS ARE COMMITTED BY MEX GANGS.
The anarchy in the streets is only part of the big scary picture. Norberg’s documentary portrays a Sweden where retirement homes, pensions, schools, and health care are just plain terrific. On the contrary: the immense cost of providing for immigrants (Muslims make up over 8% of Sweden’s population, the second highest figure in Europe, and the yearly bill for housing, feeding, and clothing the huge percentage of them who are on the dole is colossal) – has drained more and more money from basic services and benefits for hard-working native Swedes (this, moreover, in a country where people with jobs are so heavily taxed, supposedly to cover those basic services and benefits, that a citizen with a purportedly decent income has to struggle to get by). In recent years, while the national mainstream media have all but ignored this mass redirection of taxpayer funds, alternative news sites and local papers have told one horror story after another about retired Swedes who’ve been unceremoniously tossed out of their residences to make room for newly arrived Muslims.
Mass immigration, Swedish businessman Henrik Jönsson told Dave Rubin on a January 17 podcast, is causing Sweden to go broke “because we have the most expensive welfare system in the world.” And yet last year the Swedish parliament, the Riksdag, voted to increase the annual number of immigrants. Rolness, again, had it right when he wrote that too many Swedes prefer foreign refugees to Swedish babies; similarly, Swedish journalist Kajsa Norman assailed police and media for downplaying assaults on Swedish girls by Muslim men, maintaining that "sympathy for the refugees trumps sympathy for the girls."
What did Sweden: Lessons for America? have to say about this crisis that seems destined to drag Sweden into anarchy, civil war, and/or sharia? Nothing whatsoever. About forty minutes into his paean to contemporary Sweden, Norberg visits a private school, and the camera pans quickly past a girl in a hijab, a potent symbol of female subordination: that’s the closest Norberg’s program comes to acknowledging the grim truth about the cultural challenges facing Sweden today. Does Norberg comment on the hijab? No. For that matter, does he mention that Jews are leaving Sweden in droves because of Muslim harassment (and worse)? No. For that matter, while touting Sweden as an economic success story, Norberg omits to mention its dramatic decline in GDP, GDP per capita, and current account balance during the last few years (a trend that was already clear when he made his documentary).
None of which should surprise anybody. Norberg is one of those libertarians who, for all their repeatedly professed love of liberty, refuse to oppose the disastrous immigration policies that have already done serious damage to individual freedom throughout the West – witness, for example, the prosecution in Britain, Austria, Denmark, Canada, and elsewhere of citizens accused of offending Muslims. Watching Norberg’s documentary on Sweden, one can’t help thinking of an observation by Aron Flam: “Swedes don’t really understand the concept of liberty.” For people like Norberg, regrettably, the totally unhindered movement of people and goods across borders is a veritable religious doctrine to which they cling in the name of freedom but to which they’ll brook no exception at all, no matter what the actual consequences to individual freedom. That a citizen of Sweden, where at present the perils of this kind of thinking are perhaps more clearly in evidence than in anywhere else on earth, can so lustily sing the praises of his country’s cockeyed policies shows just how delusionary – and dangerous – certain strands of libertarianism can be in the face of manifest threats to human liberty.

“What is driving that kind of growth? Over 10-12 million legal immigrants in California were born abroad. Immigrants birth 900,000 babies annually. (www.cis.org, Dr. Steven Camarata) Something in the range of 4 to 5 million illegal immigrants live and work in California. Most do not pay taxes and others pay on forged identification.”

Therefore, when we say the Golden State "won't be much like anything that people who have lived here for awhile have known," that isn't hyperbole or agenda motivated exaggeration. It's simply reality. The most basic function of government is to protect people and property. California's government increasingly can't because the money is all gone, and so are many of the citizen taxpayers who never wanted any part of this grand liberal immigration experiment and politically correct nonsense, to begin with.
CALIFORNIA: AMERICA'S FIRST FAILED STATE
By Frosty Wooldridge
NewsWithViews.com

In 1965, California housed a reasonable 15 million people. No traffic jams, little air pollution and everyone spoke English. Route 66, from Chicago to Los Angeles, ended at the Santa Monica Pier. Americans drove to Yosemite National Park for a delightful weekend of hiking. Tony Bennett sang, “I left my heart in San Francisco.”
California ranked among the top five educational systems in America. Hollywood produced incredible movies with Gregory Peck, Susan Hayward, John Wayne, Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe, Robert Redford, Paul Newman and Jane Russell. I loved Gary Cooper. Bing Crosby sang away our troubles and Bob Hope laughed away our cares.
Few criminals plied the streets of cities in California. Everyone pledged their allegiance to the United States of America and our stars and stripes. Skiers and surfers plied the waves and moguls.
But in 1965, something happened in the Halls of Congress called the “Immigration Reform Act” pushed by the late Teddy Kennedy that changed the 200,000 annual incoming immigrants from compatible countries to 1.2 million third world immigrants annually. Senator Howard Metzenbaum said, “He let the flood gates wide open.”
Within 40 years, the United States galloped from193 million people to 315 million in 2012. Kennedy’s bill will add another 138 million people by 2050-a scant 38 years from now. From a net exporter of oil, we now import 7 out of 10 barrels at a cost of trillions of dollars. Kennedy’s egregious mistake changed the ethnic, linguistic and cultural foundation of America into what we see in California today. Also, Houston, Chicago, Miami, Detroit and New York.
His single act changed the entire history of America from success to utter and growing chaos on multiple levels.
California reached a mind-blowing 38 million people in 2011. It adds 1,655 people net gain daily. It adds over 400 vehicles 24/7 on its already crushed highways. (Source:www.CapsWeb.org) California expects to add 20 million people within 30 years.
What is driving that kind of growth? Over 10-12 million legal immigrants in California were born abroad. Immigrants birth 900,000 babies annually. (www.cis.org, Dr. Steven Camarata) Something in the range of 4 to 5 million illegal immigrants live and work in California. Most do not pay taxes and others pay on forged identification.
For every added person, 25.4 acres of land must be destroyed to build homes, schools, roads, malls and everything else to support that person. Known as “ecological footprint”, it destroys wilderness and arable land. Thus, California leads the country in animal and plant extinction rates.

Worse, California with its seething, hungry human mob sucks up so much water from the Colorado River that it fails to reach the ocean. As it adds another 20 million people, it will destroy millions upon millions of acres of farmland.
On the educational front, over 100 languages now paralyze California school systems. From the top five states in education, California sank to the bottom five in the United States. English has become a foreign language in California.
As to crime, MS-13 gangs work with the 20,000 member “18th Street Gang” to power drugs, guns and other contraband into the streets of America. Pot farms grow in national parks.
As to cultural breakdown, California now features major Mexican cock fighting organizations throughout the state. Police caught one group of 300 Mexicans last week as they roared and screamed at their blood sport:
In Freemont, California, the call to worship for its dominant Muslim immigrant audience heralds from the growing network of Mosques. Women’s rights degrade, female genital mutilation grows, arranged marriages are commonplace and honor killings take place. (Covered up by the liberal press, of course.)
Yosemite features wall to wall crowds that make any chance for a wilderness experience a hike into human dominated wilderness frenzy.
Most of the children born in California today feature Mexican parents living on American welfare. The EBT program or Electronic Benefits Transfers rewards single mothers unlimited financial support for every baby they produce. And they produce them by the tens of thousands. One mother said on a recording, “I get everything for free…I don’t know why anyone would want to work in America.”Write me at frostyw@juno.com and I will send you the live video of the interview.
Thus, California runs a $24 billion debt that cannot be paid. Ultimately, California will bankrupt into chaos. It suffers from a Faustian Bargain that degrades into Hobson’s Choice.

With so many languages, so many ethnic tribes and so many cultures fighting for dominance in California, how will it survive the next 20 million added people? The TV journalist Bill Moyers asked the famed science fiction writer Isaac Asimov, “Which is the greater danger - nuclear warfare or the population explosion?
“The latter absolutely!” said Asimov. “To bring about nuclear war, someone has to DO something; someone has to press a button. To bring about destruction by overcrowding, mass starvation, anarchy, the destruction of our most cherished values—there is no need to do anything. We need only do nothing except what comes naturally—and breed. And how easy it is to do nothing."
Asimov followed up with a penetrating reality check brought about by overpopulation: “...democracy cannot survive overpopulation. Human dignity cannot survive it. Convenience and decency cannot survive it. As you put more and more people into the world, the value of life not only declines, it disappears. It doesn't matter if someone dies. The more people there are, the less one individual matters.”
California will become our first third world country within our country. It pretty well has reached that status in 2012. It’s a failing state like Mexico. Corruption is a mechanism by which a third world country operates. Illiteracy drives a failed state. California defines that reality.
I suspect that Houston, Chicago, Detroit and other heavily dominated immigrant cities will follow California. How come I see this “thing” accelerating and most Americans apathetically sit by and do nothing? Our kids will curse our inaction and historians will laugh at the stupidity of mass immigration, diversity and multiculturalism as it took the greatest country in the world down to its knees. Tragically, we did nothing to stop it.

MEXIFORNIA – THE SHATTERING OF THE AMERICAN DREAM

WITH THE MEXICAN INVASION AND OCCUPATION
"Victor Davis Hanson brings a lifetime of experience in California's Central Valley to this indictment of multiculturalism and mass immigration." -- Mark Krikorian, Center for Immigration Studies

READER’S REVIEW (source: AMAZON)
If you don't understand something or disagree with a concept then the best way to conceal your ignorance or discredit the idea is to call it "racist". Dr. Hanson did not have to go very far out on a limb to make the point that non assimilation of Chicanos to American culture is divisive and destructive - and that it is the new immigrant that is failing to adapt. Great book, on point and very timely.

*Starred Review*
Classics professor Hanson is also, like generations of his family before him, a fruit farmer in California's central valley. He has employed immigrants, seen them flood his community during the last 30 years of mass flight from Mexico, and endured the crime associated with illegal immigrants. Hanson is immensely sympathetic to poor Mexicans, however, and the most powerful chapter here outlines the harried life of the illegal alien. But he hates to see the ordered culture in which he grew up drowned by an alien inundation whose undeserving beneficiaries are Mexico's kleptocratic rulers, for whom an open border is a safety valve expelling the potential for democratic change. The four solutions to the mess that Hanson enumerates include continuing de facto open borders but insisting on rapid acculturation; patrolling the border effectively and reducing legal immigration; imposing "sweeping restrictions on immigration" and ending Mexican chauvinism in the U.S.; and allowing present policies to make California increasingly mirror an unreformed Mexico. Hanson thinks that the U.S. "still need not do everything right" to prevent social collapse in the Southwest and that the totalitarian uniformity of valueless mass culture may soften that collapse. He also sees very clearly what has brought this crisis on: the American globalist ideology's lust for cheap labor and emphasis on "raw inclusiveness" instead of "standards and taste."

REVIEW 1
This review is from: Mexifornia: A State of Becoming (Hardcover)
This book shows how Mexico sends their poor to America to work, so they don't have to improve their own country, and how we use these people for cheap labor so that we can sell things for less. It's a deal made between the two countries. The trouble is, it's not what American citizens want. The "servants of the people", the representatives, are not listening to us, so it's always exciting to read something that really tells it like it is.
This book is written from the viewpoint of someone who actually lives with these Mexican immigrants. The rich people who want to use them in their businesses for cheap labor don't live with them; the liberal elites who push for them to get amnesty don't live with them. This guy lives among them, and knows the problems first hand, and as I suspected, there are many, and they're not pretty.
He writes very bluntly about the problems, but not without sympathy for the Mexican immigrants whose own country won't take care of them. With all the new books out and the discussions going on about legal and illegal immigration, and what the American people want, I'm hoping that these problems will be solved. This book is one of the best on the subject, because it is written from a viewpoint of personal experience.

REVIEW 2
Victor Hanson combines scholarship (Professor at Cal State) with personal experience (life long resident and farmer in central CA. who has Mexican-American family and friends) to present a thoughtful look at the illegal Mexican immigration crisis. Hanson argues that the reason for this crisis is that both ends of the political spectrum have vested interests in continuing the unabated entry of illegal Mexicans. Republicans wish to placate business interests with cheap labor and Democrats hope for a future electoral base. Hanson further explains that this wave is not like the earlier waves of Polish, Jewish, or Italian immigration which was of a fixed duration and where the connection of the new immigrant to the Homeland was more thoroughly severed.
This book is well written and to the point (approx. 140 pages). I have also seen Victor Hanson on several political talk shows. He is well spoken and mild mannered which is a welcome relief from the cacophonous diatribe we too often get on cable news channels.

REVIEW 3
As one who shares the author's ethnic, cultural and geographical heritage, I thought Hanson did a marvelous job of assessing California's major social issue, and one of America's primary problems. Like Hanson, I was born and reared in Fresno County, albeit some 25 miles from his native Selma. I can attest to the accuracy of his description of Selma and the Central Valley in the 1950's.
As a child, my associates included Hispanics; as a teenager working in the fig and peach orchards, my fellow workers were Hispanic. During my professional career, I have hired and promoted many Hispanics.
Hanson's Scandinavian ancestors (from Sweden) and mine (from Denmark) came to America legally and without speaking English, but they succeeded--without bilingual classes, welfare, government subsidies, or that phenomenon known as "affirmative action", which is being rapidly unmasked as nothing, more or less, than "reverse discrimination". Hanson deftly exposes the race industry as an amalgam of organizations and individuals who are quick to attack the Anglo for any slight, either real or imagined, but who, in the long run, seem not to do much for those whom they purport to serve.
As a criminologist, I am well aware of the violence committed by Hispanic Gangs, and the fact that those gangsters who do not wind up in the morgue soon become expensive inmates in our overcrowded prison system, costing taxpayers some $25k per year each. I am equally aware of the many outstanding Hispanic officers, prosecutors, and judges with whom I've worked.
Hanson has eloquently described the failure of our educational programs to work toward an assimilated America, as well as the failure of the "separatists" in the race industry.
The one failure which, to my surprise, he did not identify is that of our elected officials who establish public policy. When Hanson and I were youngsters/young men in the Central Valley, the politicians seemed to act in the best interests of their constituencies. Today,by and large, our politicians have little integrity, but rather pander incessantly to special interests which, in turn, provide them with campaign funds, endorsements, and precinct workers. It is common knowledge that, in Sacramento, legislative votes are "for sale" almost daily. Until we can restore some integrity among our public officials, we will not move toward a better California--better for Hispanics, Anglos, African Americans, Asians, and all others!
Except for his failure to discuss the lack of integrity among many of our elected officials, Hanson has done an admirable job. Mexifornia should be on the "must read" list of all who are concerned about the future of Californians, nothwithstanding the color of their skins!

DICK LAMM, GOVERNOR OF COLORADO

REVIEW 4
We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of America's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, "Mexifornia," explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America. The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy! America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'"

"Here is how they do it," Lamm said: "First, to destroy America, turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country." History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: "The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and
tragedy." Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans."

Lamm went on: Second, to destroy America, "Invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and
discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

Third, "We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: "The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we! are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together." Lamm said, "I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have
various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities."

"Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school."

"My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all
minority failure on the majority population."
"My sixth plan for America's downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia, threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. "E. Pluribus Unum" -- From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus' instead of the 'Unum,' we will balkanize America as surely as Kosovo."

"Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits; make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the! doctrine of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them."

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said,. "Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis's book "Mexifornia." His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America. deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book."

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today.

Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.' American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America - take note of California and other states - to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book "1984." In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: "War is peace," "Freedom is slavery," and "Ignorance is strength."

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.
California's Accelerating Demise
The end is nearing, and it's not that far away anymore. Oh, make no mistake, California will still be here, but very shortly, it won't be much like anything that people who have lived here for awhile have known.
The culture, the quality of life, pristine environment, and enviable public school systems are rapidly being segregated into ever-shrinking areas of affluence.
Anyone who has read this blog knows that the focus here is on illegal immigration.  Is the presence of people who are unlawfully in the country the only thing that has led to the Golden State's desperate financial and demographic situation, however? Clearly, no. There's been plenty of irresponsible spending by California politicians that is, at most, only marginally related to the millions of the undocumented who have set up house here.
Still, you can't escape the facts; facts that are so plain and obvious that one doesn't need to hold an MBA degree to see that much of California's economic ruin has resulted from nearly unfettered unlawful immigration from Latin America. We're rapidly absorbing the poorest and least educated that countries in that area of the world gladly send north, and the bills for having done this are coming due. California's illegal alien and anchor baby population is well over twice the size of any other state's, and not surprisingly, our state's budget deficit is also over twice the size of any other state's.
When you lack money, you borrow. California certainly has, out the yin yang. In fact, California is so far in debt that its credit rating is the lowest of all 50 states.  And when you can't borrow anymore, you do without.  California is ...
Because we have been so busy building public schools (among other things) to keep up with an exploding Hispanic population, and repeatedly raising public school teachers' compensation to convince educators to work in dreary academic conditions surrounded by limited-English learners and street criminals, we essentially stopped constructing prisons. Well the illegal alien children, and the offspring of current and former illegal aliens, who now make up the bulk of public school students here, have been graduating at rates below 50%.
Where does a person with little education, who has been raised in a family where skirting laws is everyday conduct, commonly wind up?  You guessed it.  Over half of the people in California jails and prisons are current and former illegal aliens, and their children.  In fact, we have so many illegals and anchor babies that our "gray bar hotels" are stuffed.  Jam-packed to the degree that the Supreme Court recently ruled they violate 8th Amendment protections against cruel and unusual punishment
OK, so just build more prisons, right?  Sure ... with what money?  We already spent it on teachers, free public school breakfasts and lunches, new grade school campuses, discounted college tuition for illegal aliens, and prison guards who watch over our growing population of people who didn't seem to benefit from the money we've been laying out to educate/babysit them.
The bottom line: California will be releasing tens of thousands of convicts because government officials don't have any other choice.

TESLA CRASHES!

Tesla under investigation by US government for defect that caused over 100 crashes

Electric car maker Tesla is facing a potential government investigation into consumer complaints of a defect which causes the sudden unintended acceleration of all three of its available vehicle models, the years 2012-19 Model S and 2018-19 Model 3 sedans, and the 2016-19 Model X SUV.
The National Highway Safety Traffic Administration (NHSTA), a government organization under the US Department of Transportation (DOT), said Friday that it is currently reviewing the allegations brought forth by a petition that cites 127 complaints against Tesla with claims of 110 crashes and 52 injuries. The petition was received by the NHSTA Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) by email on December 19.
If granted, the NHTSA will investigate about 500,000 Tesla vehicles over the alleged defect. The NHSTA is already investigating three December crashes involving Tesla vehicles which killed three people in California, Connecticut and Indiana, which may or may not be related to the acceleration defect.
The December 29 crash in Indiana is the 14th crash that the NHSTA’s crash investigation team is investigating in relation to what it suspects to be the use of Tesla’s Autopilot driverless technology. According to Tesla, Autopilot “enables your car to steer, accelerate and brake automatically within its lane,” although “features require active driver supervision and do not make the vehicle autonomous.”
According the Reuters and Fox News, the complaints made to the agency allege that the sudden acceleration occurred in a number of situations which could potentially cause serious harm to drivers, passengers and property, including while in traffic and while attempting to park in a garage or at a curb.
Tesla is also reportedly under investigation by the agency for its decision to issue a software update for 2,000 vehicles rather than to recall them after reports that the vehicles had a possible battery defect that could start fires.
Shares of Tesla’s stock (NASDAQ: TSLA) reached an all-time high of over $537 per share on January 14 and have continued to hover above $500 per share in spite of the safety allegations. Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of the auto company, has a personal net worth of nearly $30 billion and is currently the 40th richest person on earth according to Forbes’ 2019 billionaires list.
Tesla is the world’s largest producer of electric vehicles by units sold and is a major investor in autonomous vehicle technology. Industry-wide, billions have been invested in electric and autonomous vehicles, which require less labor to produce and which are expected to dominate the world auto market by mid-century. Daimler’s chief executive recently called electric vehicles the greatest revolution in the industry since Henry Ford’s introduction of the assembly line a century ago.
In spite of its “independent” status, Tesla has become something of the standard-bearer for electric vehicle technology in the United States. The major US-based automakers are in danger of falling behind foreign rivals in the emerging electric vehicle market because they have predominantly relied upon sales from high-priced, low gas mileage trucks and SUVs. By far the largest market for electric vehicles at present is China, where they are heavily subsidized.
Tesla’s financial growth is based, in large part, on its low labor and production costs in comparison to its competitors across the automotive industry worldwide. Tesla was ranked, along with fellow high-tech giant Amazon, among the 12 most dangerous workplaces in the US according to the National Council for Occupational Health and Safety (COSH) 2018 annual report, “The Dirty Dozen 2018: Employers Who Put Workers and Communities at Risk.” COSH reported that recorded injuries for workers at Tesla, Inc. were 31 percent higher than the rest of the auto manufacturing industry in 2015 and 2016.
Severe injuries are a normal part of a day’s work at a Tesla plant, and workers often work 60 to 70 hours per week with mandatory overtime. Workers are paid as little as $16-$21 per hour, while the cars they create sell for between $35,000 and $81,000, depending on the model.
Across the automotive industry, the relentless drive for increasing profit as demand dips in spite of stagnant or falling sales has increased the pressure on manufacturers to lower production costs and cut corners, resulting in defective products but also unsafe conditions for workers and attacks on wages and jobs.
Ford Motors recently came under fire for covering up a defect with its DPS6 transmission, which it introduced in an attempt to meet new federal gas economy standards. The defect caused unexpected acceleration and sometimes loss of power in its Focus and Fiesta models, leading to numerous crashes and injuries. Engineers were aware of the problems before the new transmission was launched, but company management decided to cover up the problems and put the transmission on the market.
In 2014, General Motors was revealed to have covered up an ignition switch defect which led to the recall of 2.6 million vehicles, which could have accidentally jarred out of the “run” position, shutting off the engine, power steering and power brakes, and disabling the airbag system, putting drivers and passengers at serious risk for death and injury.
The subordination of the health and safety of humans and the environment is international in scope. From 2015 to 2018, German-based automaker Volkswagen was engulfed in an emissions scandal stemming from its sale of 1.2 million vehicles with software which cheated laboratory emissions tests on several of its models, including its luxury Audi and Porsche lines.
Inevitably, such scandals involve the complicity of the government, which subordinates public safety and the environment to corporate profits. The US Department of Transportation is currently headed by Elaine Chao, a right-wing Republican appointed by US President Donald Trump who is currently overseeing Trump’s plan to cut the agency’s vehicle safety budget by 40 percent. Before serving as the Secretary of Transportation under Trump, Chao was appointed as US Secretary of Labor under Republican President George W. Bush from 2001-2009 and oversaw the attacks on jobs which paved the way for the Obama administration’s restructuring of the US economy and mass layoffs in the years following the Wall Street crash of 2008.
