HOW WELL DID OBAMA - CLINTON'S CRONY BANKSTERS DO AFTER YEARS OF LOOTING?

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/01/for_some_the_bank_bailouts_were_a_wonderful_success.html

EVEN BEFORE HIS FIRST DAY IN OFFICE, BARACK OBAMA HAD SUCKED IN MORE BRIBES FROM BANKSTERS THAN ANY PRESIDENT IN HISTORY.

HOW WELL DID THEY DO?

Goldman Sach’s Lloyd Blankfein officially became a billionaire in July, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. JPMorgan on Thursday announced that CEO Jamie Dimon's 2015 total compensation was $27 million — a 35% raise from the year before. Dimon also became a billionaire in 2015.”
It seems not long ago that Wall Street was packaging up Collateralized Debt Obligations, faulty sub prime mortgages, and dealing them off to unsuspecting customers. Credit Default Swaps were flung about with outfits such as AIG, in which the viability of these packaged securities were “insured” against default.

Goldman Sachs was caught, not by authorities, but by the market. As the securities failed, some of their own design, Goldman was forced to make clever moves such as becoming a commercial bank, overnight. This move positioned themselves up for the coming flow of money and generous considerations.

Hank Paulson, the Secretary of the Treasury and former Goldman CEO, went to work to defuse the crisis. Not only did he “put out the fire” with unaudited dispensing of massive amounts of federal money, he apparently “filled the swimming pool” as well. He turned a lemon for the big shots on Wall Street into not just lemonade, but limoncello.

Flash forward. Just reported,

“Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein made $23 million in 2015 — down $1 million from the year before. Blankfein's compensation included $2 million in base salary and $6.3 million in cash bonus, according to a person familiar with the matter. That excludes a long-term incentive plan that will be reported later this year.
Last year, Blankfein made $24 million, excluding $7 million in long-term incentive compensation.
President and COO Gary Cohn, CFO Harvey Schwartz, and the Co-CEO of Goldman Sachs International, Michael Sherwood, each received $21 million for 2015, down from $22 million from the year before.
Goldman Sachs reported fourth-quarter earnings on Wednesday that were a beat if you exclude a big one-time legal settlement. Full-year earnings per share were down 28.9% from the year before; excluding the legal settlement, they were up 9.4%.”
Federal Reserve record low interest rates, bailouts, and unaccountability seems good for some. The few fines imposed replaced what could have been jail time. Illiquidity and bankruptcy of the too big to fail was met with a governmental largess that was without restrictions on partner equity draw downs via bonuses and salaries. A remarkable transformation occurred from broke to rich, not by market but by fiat. If there are special talents here, I would hope someone would come forth and identify them. Otherwise, the conclusion readily at hand is that the oligarchic and the “star chamber” machinations in the cabal of Wall Street and Washington DC is a billionaire machine, for some.

The old saying that” if you lose a lot of money, the bank owns you. If you lose a tremendous amount of money, you own the bank.” And, to add a phrase, if you fail on such a scale that it approaches systemic dimensions, you own the Federal Reserve and the Treasury. And they did. Becoming a billionaire is a curious reward.

CUT WAGES? CUT PENSIONS? THAT'S WHY WE HAVE OPEN BORDERS! - Global slowdown to deepen attacks on jobs

Global slowdown to deepen attacks on jobs

Global slowdown to deepen attacks on jobs

By Nick Beams
25 January 2016
Global share markets recovered some of their losses at the end of last week, staging a partial recovery from the slide that saw as much as 20 percent wiped off asset values in the first three weeks of the year.

However, the uptick does not indicate any confidence in the state of the world economy as it took place largely on the back of a pledge by European Central Bank president Mario Draghi that the bank was set to inject still more cash into financial markets.

Last Thursday Draghi indicated that the ECB would extend its quantitative easing policy when it meets in March, declaring in the face of the slowdown in China and falling oil prices that the ECB had “the power, the willingness, the determination to act and ... there are no limits to our action.” Markets lifted in response to his comments after being hit by their worst opening for a new year in history.

But the underlying trend in the global economy is slowing growth, outright recession, and major attacks on jobs coupled with the danger of financial turbulence, especially in highly-indebted emerging markets.

In its annual survey of employment, issued last week, the Geneva-based International Labour Organisation (ILO) warned that global unemployment was set to rise over the next two years.
“The significant slowdown in emerging markets coupled with a sharp decline in commodity prices is having a dramatic effect on the world of work,” the ILO director-general Guy Ryder said in issuing the report.

The ILO said total global unemployment stood at 197.1 million in 2015—27 million higher than the pre-crisis level in 2007. It could be expected to rise by nearly 2.3 million in 2016 and by a further 1.1 million in 2017. In other words, almost a decade after the onset of the global financial crisis, unemployment will still be on the increase.

The unemployment figures themselves significantly understate the true situation because so-called “vulnerable employment,” involving a self-employed worker, often with the non-paid contribution of his or her family, accounted for more than 46 percent of total global employment, or almost 1.5 billion people.

The ILO said that while the number of unemployed people in developed economies was expected to decline slightly it would remain close to historical peaks in a number of European countries. And where there has been a decline in jobless numbers it is often due to continuing or rising underemployment, with a rise in temporary or part-time work.

It estimated that the world economy expanded by 3.1 percent in 2015, half a percentage point lower that had been projected a year earlier, and if current policies were continued “the outlook is for continued weakening, posing significant challenges to enterprises and workers.” Over the next two years the world economy was expected to grow by around 3 percent per annum, “significantly less than before the advent of the global crisis.”

The report was something of a warning to the global ruling elites. Calling for a shift in economic and employment policies, it said that in emerging economies the rise of the middle class had slowed down and there were “renewed risks of social unrest associated with slower growth.” In the developed countries, it noted that the Gini index, measuring inequality, had “risen significantly in most G20 countries,” with top incomes continuing to rise and the bottom 40 percent of households falling further behind. The incidence of what it called “working poverty” was also on the rise in Europe.

However, there is no prospect of the ILO’s call for a “shift” in current to policies to be met. On the contrary, every report issued by the International Monetary Fund, the OECD and other major economic and financial organisations emphasises the need for further “structural reforms” in the labour market—that is, attacks on employment conditions and job security.

The worsening global economic outlook is being translated into a wave of job cuts in energy-based and mining industries, in banking and finance, and heavy industries such as steel. Last week Schlumberger, the world’s largest oilfields services company announced it was to cut a further 10,000 jobs, bringing to 34,000 the number of jobs it has cut since November 2104, or 26 percent of its workforce.

On Friday the credit rating agency Moody’s listed 175 energy and mining companies as being at risk of a credit downgrade, including major global firms Royal Dutch Shell, Total and the gas producer Chesapeake Energy. The notice was the largest single warning of a potential credit downgrade since the financial crisis. It said the slowdown in China was responsible for the gloomy outlook and warned that there was a “substantial risk” that oil prices would recover only slowly from their 12-year lows of less than $30 per barrel. And even with a “modest recovery” producing companies would experience much lower cash flows.

In another warning as to the state of the oil industry, the value of high-yielding or junk bond debt issued by US energy companies has fallen to its lowest point in two decades. The Financial Times reported that investors were bracing for a “wave of bankruptcies” as companies which took out loans in the shale oil industry when the price was over $100 per barrel are struggling under a weight of debt.
Debt problems are not confined to particular industries but extend to whole economies. The level of stressed debt—defined as bonds which are trading at yields of between 7 and 10 percentage points above comparable US treasury bonds—has passed the peak reached during the 2008 global financial crisis.

The combined level of stressed and distressed debt, those bonds where yields are more than 10 percentage points above comparable US treasuries, reached $221 billion this month, compared to the previous record level of $213 billion in December 2008.

While the absolute level of stressed and distressed debt is higher than seven years ago it is has fallen as a share of the total because of the increase in emerging market corporate debt over the past seven years. But there are fears that this will not count for much if there is a rush for the exits and markets suddenly become illiquid with few buyers to be found. Earlier this month the Institute for International Finance said that the capital outflow from China and other emerging markets was $759 billion last year, significantly more than had been previously estimated.

While its proportion of total output has declined, the US economy remains decisive for the world economy as a whole. And here the trends are pointing down. Bank of America Merrill Lynch upgraded its risk of the US entering a recession from 15 to 20 percent and warned of “the lack of policy ammunition to deal with a shock.”

The bank’s economists said they did not think the economy would plunge as in 2008-9 but cut their estimate for US growth to 2.1 percent from 2.5 percent. While the full statistical picture has yet to emerge, it appears that the US economy slowed down significantly in the last three months of 2015, with areas of manufacturing experiencing a contraction. If these trends continue they will have a major impact on the world economy as a whole.

The whole discussion regarding immigration -- quite apart from issues regarding illegals or “refugees” -- is still fatally based on the same old re-energize model that has about as much relevance to today’s realities as the Dick and...

MEXIIFORNIA: WHERE LA RAZA LOOTS FIRST!

LEGALS FLEE THE LA RAZA WELFARE STATE WITH NEARLY THE HIGHEST TAXES IN THE COUNTRY!

You didn't think Mexico was paying for their anchor baby factories in California?!?

Between the mid-1980s and 2005, the state’s aggregate population increased by 10 million Californians, including immigrants. But that isn’t the good economic news that you might think. For one thing, 7 million of the new Californians were low-income Medicaid recipients. Further, as economist Arthur Laffer recently noted in Investor’s Business Daily, between 1992 and 2008, the number of tax-paying Californians entering California was smaller than the number leaving -- 3.5 million versus 4.4 million, for a net loss of 869,000 tax filers. Those who left were wealthier than those who arrived, with average adjusted gross incomes of $44,700, versus $38,600. Losing those 869,000 filers cost California $44 billion in tax revenue over two decades, Laffer calculated.

Immigration and Your Father’s Oldsmobile

The whole discussion regarding immigration -- quite apart from issues regarding illegals or “refugees” -- is still fatally based on the same old re-energize model that has about as much relevance to today’s realities as the Dick and Jane books of the 20th century have to the realities of childhood in 21st century America. Yet even conservative analyst Victor Davis Hanson, who is highly critical of current “suicidal” immigration policies, thinks that the “wise” policy of the turn of the last century can be effectively reinstated. Wrong. The Age of Immigration is over.
Mr. Hanson buys into the basic “re-energize” mantra that forms the underpinnings of the immigration narrative.
In the past, newcomers from around the world were eager for a second start in the United States. They nearly all worked hard, reminding American-born citizens that that they can never rest on their laurels.
Immigrants honed American competition and helped to keep the nation productive.
Fine. But that was, as Mr. Hanson says, “in the past.”

But let us examine more closely just what the re-energize narrative presumes and see to what extent those presumptions are operative in today’s world.

Basically, the re-energize narrative is that immigrant vitality, innovation and determination is what has been largely responsible for the industrial might, power and growth of the United States. The narrative asserts that without the social readjustment caused by the new ideas and vitality that immigrants bring to the U.S., the U.S. would have become moribund and set in its ways. It is the challenge of assimilating a new immigrant population with its new ideas and new perspectives that forces the U.S. to constantly reinvent itself.

The narrative is heard from both sides of the isle. On the conservative side here is Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, giving his thumbnail version of the re-energize immigration narrative:

Immigration is what’s made us economically strong, politically strong, militarily strong, culturally cohesive and strong.
But it is former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg who does the old immigration soft-shoe about as well as anyone. Back in (6/15/11) he made a major immigration policy address before the Council of Foreign Relations and hit all the old heartstring notes about America being built by immigrants and then founded his case on the supposedly obvious inference that what worked in the past is the key to the future. The trouble is the present immigration realities are far removed from the immigration realities of the past and even recent past.
Yet for Bloomberg, the immigration narrative is still the only game in town and a model for framing new immigration policies.
We would not have become a global superpower without the contributions of immigrants who built the railroads and canals that     opened up the west, who invented ground-breaking products that revolutionized global commerce, and who pioneered scientific, engineering, and medical advances that made America the most innovative country in the world.
The three key projections that Bloomberg makes as being the way to go to keep America growing and prosperous -- projections that are based on the above re-energize narrative -- are (1) just as in the past, the U.S. needs to bring in immigrants with the “work, work, work” ethic for our basic industries in agriculture and manufacturing; (2) just like in the past the U.S. needs to bring in tech-savvy immigrants with the “innovate, innovate, innovate” brains and dynamic to keep our industries cutting edge; (3) just like in the past the U.S. needs to bring in immigrants to keep our cities vibrant.

Projection 1

As Bloomberg states, most immigrants in the past came here “with almost nothing except one thing: a desire to work -- and work and work and work -- to build a better life for themselves and their families.” And, just as in the past, we need the “work, work, work” ethic that immigrants have to keep our basic industries going.

The trouble with this argument is that it is rooted in 19th century and early 20th century realities. The immigrants who came to America knew they had to work hard to survive. Immigrants today know the U.S. is a fail-safe environment where their kids get a free education. Even undocumented immigrants get:

a). Public school enrollment and free or reduced price lunches (many children are U.S. citizens)

b). Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

c). Medicaid (primarily for "non-emergency pregnancy related care and emergency care").

d). Food stamps (for U.S. born children -- undocumented immigrants are ineligible to receive food stamps).
Each year, state governments spend an estimated $11 billion to $22 billion to provide welfare to immigrants. Those programs include Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Child Care and Development Fund, and even meal programs in public housing.
The highest welfare use rates for immigrants are in New York (30 percent), California (28 percent), Massachusetts (25 percent), and Texas (25 percent).

This is not the root-hog-or-die environment that past immigrants knew they were facing. And certainly the immigrant-based criminal gangs don’t seem to be driven by quite the same “work, work, work” ethic that Bloomberg had in mind.

Projection 2

Americans don’t have the engineering and scientific talent to make it on their own. Just like in the past, we must import the brightest and best.

First of all, corporations are looking for the most cost-effective talent. The talent is here, it’s just cheaper elsewhere. This article from USA Today (2004) gives some of the personal accounts of IT employees reaction to being asked to train their replacements from foreign countries. A 2015 article in PJMedia, "Twenty-Five Years of Helping Foreigners Take American Jobs", deals with the same issues and points out that executives of IT firms insulate themselves from the demands of a competitive market place by forcing their own IT employees to compete with and train IT candidates from countries all over the globe -- countries with wage standards as low as one-tenth those of the U.S.
There’s no reason why corporations, at least big, publicly traded ones, should like hiring in a tight competitive labor market. This is especially true for Big Tech firms, which are typically asset-light and have a high level of operating costs going to labor. Most would expect that the pressure on CEOs to meet analysts’ profit estimates each quarter will trump any free-market ethos they may have every time. Why else would the industry spend billions on lobbying and public relations related to immigration? Big Tech’s message to the American public might as well be, “the free market for thee but not for me.”
This brutal practice has been going on since at least the 90s. Let’s see. We don’t have the talent here but somehow the talent we do have is good enough to train foreign workers who don’t have the talent?
Moreover, the idea that, in the age of the internet and internet conferencing, talent must be physically located in the U.S. in order to work for U.S. corporations is ludicrous.
Although recent data is hard to come by, a 2010 study, “Is President Obama Right about Engineers?” is based on data collected by the Census Bureau from the American Community Survey. Dr. Steven Camarota, its author, found the following: (1) 101,000 U.S. engineers looking for a job can’t find any type of work at all; (2) 244,000 engineers are unemployed and have stopped looking for work and (3) 1.5 million engineers have jobs but don’t work as engineers. He writes:
Relatively low pay and perhaps a strong bias on the part of some employers to hire foreign workers seems to have pushed many American engineers out their profession.
The “talent is not here” is not a born-in-the-USA problem but is a structural problem with complex factors at work. This is a particularly insidious and demoralizing stereotype fobbed off on Americans -- especially those deciding on a college major or just entering the job market. Energy and resources should be used to develop and encourage U.S. born to enter engineering and IT fields rather than feeding the “strong bias” for dutifully grateful foreign workers.
Projection 3
Just as in the past, the key to keeping our cities vibrant is big time immigration. Here is Bloomberg again:
There is no greater force for economic revitalization of depressed neighborhoods than an influx of immigrants. The reason is simple: immigrants are dreamers and risk-takers who are driven to succeed, because they know that in America, hard work and talent are rewarded like nowhere else.
Cities in decline? Just throw in the immigrants. Yes -- that does help the population decline. But is it a cure for financial woes?

As US News reports (2012), a number of cities from Baltimore to Chicago are pushing immigration-friendly policies to revitalize their crumbling economies:
The Global Detroit effort includes programs that help immigrants start small businesses, get driver’s licenses and learn English. As part of the Welcome Dayton Plan adopted last year, the Ohio city sponsors a soccer tournament for immigrant teams. Not to be outdone, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) says he wants his home town to be known as the most “immigrant-friendly city in the country.”
Well, the turnaround hasn’t happened yet. Both Baltimore and Chicago are in financial trouble. But this immigration-energize plan has been going on for a long time in central California. Here is an account by Victor Davis Hanson:
Seems like importing all those “work, work, work”, “innovate, innovate, innovate” immigrants is not the magic cure for sclerotic cities. And unless the new immigrants bring in more taxes than they get in benefits, why should it -- benefits that were not available in the “wise” immigration policies of the past.

The Old Saw

Then there is the old saw that immigrants do the necessary work that U.S. citizens won’t do. According to this article (16/1/16) in the Boston Globe we would have to pay more for romaine lettuce and restaurants would have a tough time finding dishwashers, and construction firms would be at a loss for roofers and drywall installers, and then there is the clincher: the lawns of all the 1 percenters would go to seed.

But this article from The Center for Immigration Studies claims “that the often-made argument that immigrants only take jobs Americans don’t want is simply wrong.”

Further, this article from Pew Research points out that real wages (adjusted for inflation) have been “flat or falling” for decades and points out that had the labor markets been tightening employers would “offer higher wages to entice workers their way.” A connection with immigration policies?

Whatever policies are adopted, they should be based on current realities -- and not on the three stooges of the re-energize model. Let me conclude with a quote from the Focus Management Group:

The belief that past success, particularly great success, can set an organization apart from the potential negative impact of changing dynamics is one of the primary causes for business failure. Trapped in the limelight and aura of past glories, businesses tend to progress in a predictable manner, oblivious to the dangers lurking around the corner. IBM continued to fight a tsunami of strategic logic in its insular belief that its dominant mainframe computer technology was the only game in town.

Unlike Sears, Roebuck, IBM shifted its business model just barely in time to reverse its decline. Wither the USA? Sears, Roebuck or IBM?

"Some Mexican smuggling networks actually specialize in providing logistical support for Arab individuals attempting to enter the United States, the government documents say. The top Al Qaeda leader in Mexico was identified in the September 2004 cable from the American consulate in Ciudad Juárez as Adnan G. El Shurkrjumah."

Judicial Watch Uncovers New State Department Records Confirming Arab Smuggling “Cells,” Al Qaeda Leader in Mexico.

ShukrijumahFor more than a decade the U.S. government has known that “Arab extremists” are entering the country through Mexico with the assistance of smuggling network “cells,” according to State Department documents obtained by Judicial Watch that reveal among them was a top Al Qaeda operative wanted by the FBI. Some Mexican smuggling networks actually specialize in providing logistical support for Arab individuals attempting to enter the United States, the government documents say. The top Al Qaeda leader in Mexico was identified in the September 2004 cable from the American consulate in Ciudad Juárez as Adnan G. El Shurkrjumah. The cable was released to Judicial Watch under the Freedom of Information Act.

The new intelligence records were released as a result of an ongoing JW investigation into the critical national security threats on the southern border, specifically those created by Islamic terrorists teaming up with Mexican drug cartels to infiltrate and attack the U.S. In response to JW’s reporting in the last two years the Obama administration—through various spokespeople, including FBI Director James Comey—has vehemently denied that Islamic terrorists are operating in Mexican towns near American cities or entering the U.S. through the famously porous southern border.

The State Department documents, which include substantial redactions supposedly to protect classified and personal information, contradict this. JW obtained them as part of an investigative series into Shukrijumah, an Al Qaeda operative also known as Javier Robles. In December, 2014 Shukrijumah was killed by the Pakistan Army in an intelligence-borne operation in South Waziristan. But before he died Shukrijumah helped plan several U.S. attacks, including plots to bomb Oprah Winfrey’s studio and detonate nuclear devices in multiple American cities. For years Shukrijumah appeared on the FBI’s most wanted list and, despite being sought by the agency, he crossed back and forth into the U.S. from Mexico to meet fellow militant Islamists in Texas. JW has reported that, as one of the world’s most wanted terrorists, Shukrijumah piloted an aircraft into the Cielo Dorado airfield in Anthony, New Mexico.

The new State Department records show that U.S. authorities knew Shukrijumah was in Mexico because they say that the Regional Security Office (RSO) at the consulate in Ciudad Juárez used newspapers to distribute information throughout Sonora and Chihuahua, Mexico about the Al Qaeda operative at the request of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in El Paso. This appears on page 17 of the documents, which are linked above in their entirety. Of interesting note is that the government uses an exemption that applies to classified information to continue to withhold some of the records when the entire file was already declassified back in September, 2014.

Information about Middle Eastern terrorists entering the U.S. through Mexico appears in a September 2, 2004 cable—declassified 10 years later—titled “CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANT, A PROVEN CI TO USG IN THE PAST, REPORTS ARAB CELLS WITHIN MEXICO.” It explains that a reputable government informant went to the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juárez and provided information pertaining to suspect Arab extremists who have been smuggled into the U.S. through the Mexican border. “The confidential source (SUBJECT) stated his family member, who is a human trafficker, knows the exact whereabouts of three Arabs who are currently being hidden in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico,” the State Department cable reads. “Although not absolutely positive, one of the three is likely Adnan G. El Shukrijumah, alleged to be a Saudi Arabian terrorist cell leader thought to be in Mexico. SUBJECT also provided information on two smuggling networks, “cells,” that specialize in providing logistical support for Arab individuals attempting to enter the United States.”

Many questions remain about the U.S. government’s relationship with Shukrijumah, but last spring JW obtained records from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) that indicate he was a Confidential Source/Informant for the government. Shukrijumah lived in South Florida’s Broward County and graduated from Broward Community College with a degree in computer engineering. Four months before the 9/11 terrorist attacks Shukrijumah fled the U.S. He was one of the suspected actors in a number of planned terror attacks in the U.S., including a plot to simultaneously detonate nuclear devices in several U.S. cities. Convicted terrorist Jose Padilla claimed to have trained with Shukrijumah to blow up U.S. apartment buildings using natural gas explosions.

In 2010 Shukrijumah was indicted in the Eastern District of New York for his role in a terrorist plot to attack targets in the United States—including New York City’s subway system—and the United Kingdom, according the FBI. The plot against New York City’s subway system was directed by senior Al Qaeda leadership in Pakistan, the FBI says, and was directly related to a scheme by Al Qaeda plotters in Pakistan to use Western operatives to attack a target in the United States.

A year earlier Shukrijumah helped plan a terrorist truck-bomb targeting Winfrey’s Harpo Studios in Chicago as well as the iconic Sears Tower. Two of his fellow conspirators—Emad Karakrah and Hector Pedroza Huerta—were arrested in 2014 for unrelated state crimes in different parts of the country. Karakrah got busted in Chicago on charges of making a false car bomb threat after leading police on a high-speed chase with an ISIS flag waving from his vehicle. Huerta, an illegal alien twice convicted for driving intoxicated, got nabbed in El Paso for drunk driving. Both Karakrah and Pedroza were released from custody in 2015 under highly unusual plea deals.

The men formed part of a sophisticated narco-terror ring, exposed in a JW investigative series, with connections running from El Paso to Chicago to New York City. The operation includes an all-star lineup of logistics and transportation operatives for militant Islamists in the United State, drug and weapons smugglers for the Juarez drug cartel in Mexico, an FBI confidential informant gone rogue and two of the FBI’s most wanted terrorists. Shukrijumah was one of them and, though he’s dead, he is an important part of the puzzle and extremely relevant when connecting the dots in the narco-terror ring.

The headline at The Clarion Project reads: “Christian Persecution in 2015 at ‘Levels Akin to Ethnic Cleansing.’” The sub-heading notes that 2015 was “the most violent year in modern history for Christians.”  I...

In 2015, more than 7,000 Christians were killed because of their faith (twice as many as the year before).  And the estimate is conservative because it excludes places where there is ongoing persecution but where accurate records don’t exist (such as in North Korea, Syria, and Iraq).  In addition, last year 2,400 Christian churches were attacked or damaged (more than double from 2014).

Virginia Police Make Arrests in Gruesome MS-13 Gang Murders

Police have announced that they have solved two murders in Virginia linked to the violent gang MS-13, which is primarily made up of Central American illegal immigrants.

At a press conference earlier this week, Alexandria Police Chief Earl Cook reported that arrests have now been made in the case of two murders carried out by members of the California-based Hispanic gang.

Late last year the bodies of the two victims, Jose Luis Ferman Perez, 24, and Eduardo David Chandias Almendarez, 22, were discovered in separate cases. Police determined that neither victim was a member of the Salvadoran-dominated gang but both were killed by gang members.

Perez’s body was discovered in November. Now police have announced that a 17-year-old MS-13 gang member has been arrested and charged with the murder. A 16-year-old girl and another adult male will also soon be charged for Perez’s death, authorities say.

As to Almendarez’s murder, Chief Cook said that 18-year-old Edwin Alexander Guerreo Umana, also an MS-13 gang banger, was arrested and charged with that murder.

The chief reported that MS-13 activity has been increasing in the area.

“All of this gang activity in this region, and many of you have reported on it recently in the last couple years, the intensity of the violence has risen a great deal in the last couple years. We unfortunately had two of the victims here in Alexandria die because of that violence,” the Chief said.
Alexandria is certainly not alone in seeing a rise in MS-13 activity.

During the same week that police in Alexandria were announcing their arrests, plea deals were being announced in North Carolina as prosecutors go after a large number of MS-13 gang members.
Police in Washington D.C. were also announcing an uptick in the gang’s activity in the nation’s capital and say that the gang is responsible for a rise in homicides in the city.

Additionally, officials in Maryland were also saying that there has been a resurgence of MS-13 activity in the Old Line State.

Christian persecution at record levels

The headline at The Clarion Project reads: “Christian Persecution in 2015 at ‘Levels Akin to Ethnic Cleansing.’” The sub-heading notes that 2015 was “the most violent year in modern history for Christians.”  It takes one’s breath away to see the blunt truth summed up like that.  And the world is turning a blind eye.

The article the references a piece at Open Doors that provides an overview of the rise of Christian persecution around the world.  (See summary below.)

“Islamic supremacy remains the most virulent ideology that drives persecution.”  Countries singled out for being particularly risky for Christians were North Korea, Nigeria, the Central African Republic, and India (due to hardline Hindu nationalists).

The Middle East, as we are well aware, has become an increasingly dangerous place for Christians as the Islamic State sweeps across the region, massacring Christians, enslaving them, raping Christian women, destroying ancient Christian buildings and artifacts, and spurring a mass exodus of Christians fleeing the region.  There is also a constant “low-level” persecution as Christians are driven out of their communities, denied jobs, denied an education, and/or refused burials.

As the caliphate expands, there are two central hubs: one in the Middle East and the other in sub-Sahara Africa.  Though both regions are threatening to Christians, the Middle East poses the gravest threat.  The Islamic State is in Syria, Iraq, and now Libya, while Muslims across the Middle East become more devout.  Meanwhile, Boko Haram has moved into Cameroon and Chad, Al-Shabaab is in Kenya, and smaller terror organizations continue to pledge themselves to the Islamic State and the vision of the caliphate.

Lawlessness contributes to the risk level for Christians, who face untold suffering in Syria, Iraq, and Libya, where migrant Christians from Sudan, Egypt, and Eritrea have been brutally executed.  Meanwhile, Saudi-led forces in Yemen have made life for the few Christians remaining even more dangerous.  Pakistani Christians are fleeing as well, heading to countries in Southeast Asia.

In Central Asia, governments are tightening controls where, under the guise of fighting Islamic extremism, they’ve increased surveillance of the church, while in Myanmar, the state punishes those who convert from Buddhism to Christianity.

Christians are on the move around the globe, running for their lives, taking enormous risks as they cross deserts and hope they don’t fall victim to trafficking gangs.  The journey is long and filled with danger.  And even after they arrive at refugee camps, they continue to face threats and attacks by Muslims.  At the same time, though not comparable to the barbarism Christians are facing around the world, the climate in the West is increasingly hostile to them – a climate so sick that the United States has essentially closed its doors to Christians fleeing the growing caliphate.

We are living in perilous times.  As Christianity is replaced with Islam (as well as godlessness in the West), Western culture will collapse.  The process has already started.  It is a time to pray, a time to act, and a time to be unified against the forces of evil.

“Islamic supremacy remains the most virulent ideology that drives persecution.”  Countries singled out for being particularly risky for Christians were North Korea, Nigeria, the Central African Republic, and India (due to hardline Hindu nationalists).

The sad Bush/Saudi collusion

A recent (1/18/16) article by Doug Bandow, a senior fellow of the Cato Institute, titled “Saudi Arabia Is More Dangerous as a Frenemy than Iran is as an Adversary,” details the havoc wrought not only in the Middle East, but in Europe and the U.S. by U.S. administrations, and especially by the Bush administrations, treating Riyadh as a supposed ally.

It has been known for some time that there was a cozy financial connection between the Bushes and Saudis.  This was well-documented in Craig Unger’s book (2004), House of Bush, House of Saud: The Hidden Relationship Between the World's Two Most Powerful Dynasties.

Here is the review of Unger’s book in the Guardian (2004):
… for the most part this is a very powerful, well-researched and sober book that leaves the reader both enlightened and more than a little disturbed. You will certainly view the Bush administration – and, indeed, American policy-making – through a rather different prism[.]
What the Bandow article adds is the consequences of U.S. administrations, and the Bushes in particular, turning a blind eye to the vicious home rule and Middle Eastern ambitions of the 7,000 ruling Wahhabi-driven Saudi families.  In the case of the Bush family, this was done in conjunction with sub rosa financial support for their various investment activities:

In all, at least $1.476 billion had made its way from the Saudis to the House of Bush and its allied companies and institutions.

As to what the Saudis were up to in return, here are some excerpts from the Bandow article:
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is essentially a totalitarian state which acts as a tool of plunder for some 7000 princes and their families. … Unfortunately, Riyadh doesn't keep religious repression at home. The licentious royals long ago made a deal with fundamentalist Wahhabis to enforce repressive Islamic theology at home and fund its propagation abroad… the royals consistently triumphed, brilliantly manipulating the U.S. to advance their interests… By turning the American military into the Saudi royals' bodyguard, Presidents Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama spurred terrorism and attacks on Americans. The first Gulf War was directed more to safeguard Saudi Arabia than liberate Kuwait… The monarchy's relationship with the Bush clan, including both Presidents H.W. and George, was particularly intimate.
Here is an account of the basic thrust of the Saudi Wahhabi agenda by none other than Thomas Friedman of the NYT:
Nothing has been more corrosive to the stability and modernization of the Arab world, and the Muslim world at large, than the billions and billions of dollars the Saudis have invested since the 1970s into wiping out the pluralism of Islam -- the Sufi, moderate Sunni and Shiite versions -- and imposing in its place the puritanical, anti-modern, anti-women, anti-Western, anti-pluralistic Wahhabi Salafist brand of Islam
Indeed, while it was not just the Bush administrations that became enablers of the Saudi agenda, given that patriotism and forthrightness were the supposed hallmark of the Bush clan, collusion for financial gain, in spite of its ongoing disastrous consequences, is especially disheartening.

ISIS fatwa will allow harvesting of organs from living 'apostates'

This sounds so incredible that if it was any other group, you might question whether it was created by the U.S. for propaganda purposes.

But this fatwa, which allows the Islamic State to remove organs from living people who aren't Muslim, was discovered in a raid following the targeted assassination of ISIS financier Abu Sayyaf and has been shared with other governments.

Reuters:
Reuters couldn’t independently confirm the authenticity of the document. U.S. officials say it was among a trove of data and other information obtained by U.S. special forces in a raid in eastern Syria in May.
"The apostate's life and organs don't have to be respected and may be taken with impunity," says the document, which is in the form of a fatwa, or religious ruling, from the Islamic State’s Research and Fatwa Committee.
"Organs that end the captive's life if removed: The removal of that type is also not prohibited," Fatwa Number 68 says, according to a U.S. government translation.
The document does not offer any proof that Islamic State actually engages in organ harvesting or organ trafficking. But it does provide religious sanction for doing so under the group's harsh interpretation of Islam - which is rejected by most Muslims. Previously, Iraq has accused Islamic State of harvesting human organs and trafficking them for profit.
The document does not define “apostate,” though the Islamic State has killed or imprisoned non-Muslims, such as Christians, and Shiite Muslims, as well as Sunni Muslims who don't follow its extremist views.
U.S. officials say the records that were seized have given the U.S. government a deep look into how Islamic State organizes, raises funds and codifies laws for its followers.
Iraq’s ambassador to the United Nations, Mohamed Ali Alhakim, told Reuters the documents should be examined by the U.N. Security Council as evidence that Islamic State could be trafficking in organs to raise cash.
Trafficking in human body parts is extremely profitable.  Just ask Planned Parenthood.  When you can get hundreds of thousands of dollars for a kidney, or a heart, or a lung, it's a pretty good incentive to use captured infidels as cash machines.
But the question lingers: do they have the know-how and capability to engage in trafficking?  It's unlikely that there are any organ transplants in ISIS land, given the rudimentary nature of their medical facilities, so the expertise to carefully remove organs for transplant probably isn't present.
But it doesn't take a lot of medical training to dissect a body.  While that rules out major organs like the heart and liver as being sold on the market, you can find buyers for hair, blood, bones and other less delicate body parts and still make a lot of money.
In short, it's more than possible that this fatwa is operational and being used by ISIS to raise cash.

Goodbye, Sweden

Pat Condell is the most outspoken and eloquent commentator in the English-speaking world.  (Hello, Dr. Krauthammer: maybe it’s time to take a vacation from the Beltway and realize what’s really going on and why the elites of the world in their bubble are so out of touch.)  Perhaps he is too outspoken for Fox News Channel, but that is their loss.  The rest of us can watch him on our computers and handheld devices and avoid those endlessly rising costs of cable TV subscriptions.

I must confess: my heart breaks for Sweden.  Like anyone born and raised in Minnesota, I feel a certain closeness to that country and feel a familiarity that transcends my visit to it long ago.  Despite their embrace of political correctness, the Swedes are at heart very decent, humane people, their main faults being a desire to please others in their community (which leads to silencing dissent and conformity) and self-righteous hypocrisy.  But these are minor blemishes considering the personal decency most people center their lives on.

BLOG: WILL MEXICO'S WELFARE STATE  AND CRIME TIDAL WAVE BANKRUPT AMERICA BEFORE THE WARS TO PROTECT THE BORDERS OF MUSLM DICTATORS FINALLY END???

Taking advantage of Sweden’s generosity, Muslim immigrants have been arriving in large numbers and, in recent months, catastrophically overwhelming the country’s budget and facilities to house and feed them.
The few minutes you spend watching Condell’s commentary will reward you:

Professor at Christian college wearing hijab during Advent

Larycia Hawkins is a political science professor at Wheaton College, a Christian college in Illinois.  On Thursday, she announced on her Facebook page that she will wear a hijab throughout Advent as a symbol of solidarity with Muslims.  She plans to wear it everywhere: to work, to class, to church, and on the plane ride home for the Christmas holiday.  The Christian Post reports:
“I don't love my Muslim neighbor because s/he is American. I love my Muslim neighbor because s/he deserves love by virtue of her/his human dignity…I stand in human solidarity with my Muslim neighbor because we are formed of the same primordial clay, descendants of the same cradle of humankind — a cave in Sterkfontein, South Africa that I had the privilege to descend into to plumb the depths of our common humanity in 2014.”
Hawkins…further asserted that not only are Muslims her neighbors but they also "worship the same God."
“I stand in religious solidarity with Muslims because they, like me, a Christian, are people of the book. And as Pope Francis stated last week, we worship the same God”….
“As part of my Advent Worship, I will wear the hijab to work at Wheaton College, to play in Chi-town, in the airport and on the airplane to my home state that initiated one of the first anti-Sharia laws (read: unconstitutional and Islamophobic), and at church.”….
Hold it!
She loves her Muslim neighbor because of her dignity, because they are both descendants of the same place in South Africa, because they’re made of the same clay, and, if all of that weren’t enough to make any non-Muslim woman want to run out and don a hijab, because they “worship the same God.”

Really?!

No they don’t.

The Christians God is a God of love.  The Muslim God is a God of hate.

Love.  Hate.  Not the same.

Ms. Hawkins appears to be lacking some very basic abilities in the discernment department.  But that’s not all.  Hawkins seems to have a problem with anti-sharia legislation.  She confuses that which is unconstitutional (sharia) with that which protects our constitution (anti-sharia legislation).

The poor thing just can’t keep basic ideas straight in her mind.

And of course, no social justice warrior can get a gold star without hoping others will follow in her footsteps, because, you know, what she is doing is righteous.
The Wheaton College professor further explained that she hopes she is not the only non-Muslim woman wearing a hijab this holiday season, as she desires to start a movement of women showing their solidarity for Muslims.

"I invite all women into the narrative that is embodied, hijab-wearing solidarity with our Muslim sisters — for whatever reason. A large scale movement of Women in Solidarity with Hijabs is my Christmas ‪#‎wish this year," Hawkins continued. "Perhaps you are a Muslim who does not wear the veil normally. Perhaps you are an atheist or agnostic who finds religion silly or inexplicable. Perhaps you are a Catholic or Protestant Christian like me. Perhaps you already cover your head as part of your religious worship, but not a hijab."
Holy smokes!  She is so delusional and patronizing that she is actually urging not only non-Muslims to don the symbol of female oppression, but also Muslim women who don’t normally wear the veil to give it a whirl.
But the real kicker came at the end of the article, which explains what an A+ dhimmi Hawkins is:
Hawkins turned to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), where she has a friend on staff, for advice on whether it would be offensive to Muslims if a non-Muslim wears a hijab.
"I asked whether a non-Muslim wearing the hijab was haram (forbidden), patronizing, or otherwise offensive to Muslims. I was assured by my friends at CAIR-Chicago that they welcomed the gesture," she explained. "So please do not fear joining this embodied narrative of actual as opposed to theoretical unity; human solidarity as opposed to mere nationalistic, sentimentality."
Of course it’s not offensive!  It’s a sign of dhimmitude.  Once conquered, all non-believers who are not slaughtered must adopt the ways of Islam.

But Hawkins appears short on knowledge and long on fabricated leftist ideas.  And so she checked with CAIR to make sure she can wear a head scarf, lest this good little dhimmi offend.  And, with CAIR’s approval, she urges others to join the dhimmi parade.

It’s hard to know where to begin, but let me just say a couple of things.

First, this woman has no business teaching at a Christian college.

Second, this sickly urge to join with Muslims after terror attacks is a phenomenon I can only describe as mentally ill.  That Hawkins feels no need to stand with fellow Christians in the Middle East who are being driven from their homes, tortured, kidnapped, raped, and slaughtered at the hands of Islamic supremacists is sad and disgusting.
I’ll leave the rest of the commentary to AT readers.  There are only so many keystrokes one can devote to such abject stupidity that masquerades as self-righteous goodness.

ISIS and Obama

We are not at war with Islam.” – Barack Hussein Obama
We could begin with: “ISIS comes to America.”  But that would suggest that the latest mutant strain of Muslim terror is somehow new or unique.  The sad truth is, alas, that contemporary imperial Islam, a kind of cultural sewage, has been flowing just beneath the veneer of civilization for decades now.  You might think of the San Bernardino massacre as merely another one of those urban pipes that bursts from time to time and becomes a public nuisance.  Blood and gore in the name of religion is now routine by repetition.

Those who work inside the Beltway rationalize lethal religious mayhem as workplace violence, “junior varsity” pranks, or better still, an opportunity cost of gun sales.  Gun control is to terrorism now as public schools are to education.  Nonetheless, taxpaying hermaphrodites and voting masochists can rest easy.  The Islamic State is “contained” we are assured.  There are no “credible” ISIS existential threats to America or Americans.

Clearly, religious executions today have political utility.  Slaughter in God’s name is a terrible thing to waste.  For potential victims, when you see something, please say something.  Call a cop and see what stops.  After all, in a “long game,” only soothing rhetoric really matters.

Say something useful too, like HELPOMG or WTF! Then throw your panties, or your smart phone, at the hirsute dude with the AK-47 or the burka bimbo with the bomb.  If your phone doesn’t kill or pacify those “nefarious characters,” hit your knees, face Mecca, tuck you head between your knees, and kiss your timid butt goodbye.  After all, we will always have Paris and 9/11 and the kind of “hope and change” that is beginning to look like a train ride to the ovens.

Alas, religious affiliations of victims and perps alike are irrelevant yet again! Not just Jews, Christians, Copts, or Yazidi this time.  The target in San Bernardino was a government sanctioned secular humanist Christmas bash, an infidel cum apostate California bulls eye laden with symbolism, indeed a threefer: Jerry Brown, baby Jesus, and alcohol.  The latest Islamic free-fire zone is more evidence of the need to restrain infidel excess and the need for new mandates to control speech, partying, guns, Santa Claus, and “islamophobic” Christmas.

Holiday eggnog, after all, is one of those gateway drugs that provokes Muslims and inspires genocidal rage.
Alas, the sharia and jihad ambitions of Islam in America might be too modest.  Muslims merely want to return to the 7th Century and Mohammed.  To stay in that race to the past, agnostic America might give Stonehenge and sun worship another whirl.  Say “salve solstice,” not merry “you know what” this year.

The latest Muslim assault on the 21st Century has put “Berdoo” in the Quintin Tarantino hall of shame too.  Until jihad came to town, San Berdoo, we should note, was known best on the left coast for biker bars and awesome weed.

The 4 December bloodbath in California is both sequel and prequel of dystopian Christmases to come.  Take that FBI news conference two days after as evidence, a kind of costumed, choreographed public relations porn flick.
PR is now the first federal line of defense against shooters, bombers, terrorists, and religious fascists.  Yes, here again soothing, albeit empty, words are best.  San Bernardino was no exception.

One jihadist was a native, the other was an import via Saudi Arabia.  Not that any of that mattered to clueless centurions.  Both shooters were Muslim and both had roots in Pakistan.  Doesn’t matter! Both were equipped like Kevlar ninjas.  Doesn’t matter either! The ISIS wannabes wasted a Christmas party.  Group kill is not that relevant either in traditional Hollywood oeuvre! The FBI and a constellation of four star cops could not, or would not, say anything specific about the obvious: race, religion, arms, ideology, motives, or affiliations.

If you are a government flake and you know something these days, your job is to say nothing.  You know the drill.  Muslim feelings trump public safety, national security, and all vestiges of common decency or uncommon sense.  In contrast, everyman on the street is enjoined to see and say something.  Yes, but good grief not about immigrants, terrorists, Muslims, or Islam

The best parts of the masque in Berdoo were those stars.  No fewer than eight, yes eight, blue groupies in the FBI entourage wore four stars on their lapels.  Who knew that a city of less than 250,000 souls had so many four star lawmen keeping us safe? How, you might ask, did Wyatt Earp ever tame Tombstone with just one star?

Four star cops in urban America are similar to all those fruit salad generals at the Pentagon, impotent mannequins, hangar queens grounded by political correctness.  Uniform garnish matters more than results in public safety/national security sinecures these days.  Policing and soldiering in America is starting to look a lot like ghost of Orwell’s future -- or scoreless soccer and kindergarten T-ball.

The obligatory press conference that quickly follows any gory Muslim rampage in America is now a kind of civic cult ritual.

To start, American Islamist front groups (CAIR for example) launch the spin, while a day or two later the FBI and a local chorus sugar coats the infidel dead, apostate lame, and agnostic maimed.  These televised spin cycles are usually orchestrated by the Feds, echoed by the national press, and back lit by a host of mute locals that might include zaftig crossing guards with stars on their epaulets.  The elected Commander-in-Chief usually leads from behind, keeping his peace until moral equivalence, mental health, gun control, melting icebergs, or carbon credits can be worked into the post mortems

Why it is, by the way, that Bernie Sanders still doesn’t have a Cabinet post? Surely, the Islamic State could be brought to heel by carbon credits or an NSA all-access peeping pass.
After seven years, team Obama still doesn’t get it.  If ISIS implodes tomorrow, Islamism, like the Big Lebowski, still abides.

The Islamic State, a big slice of the Ummah similar to Boko Haram and al Qaeda, is a new symptom, not a new disease.  The civic cancer is, and always has been, the rapidly metastasizing global ideology of sharia and jihad, in short, religious fascism.  Like National Socialism, it’s the ideology, stupid! The predicate of all fascism is coercion, indeed the kind of sick terror now playing in a domicile near you, places like Paris, Mali, and San Bernardino.
American tactics and strategy may appear feckless, but the Clinton, Bush, and Obama regimes are united by the belief that Muslim reputation is more important than American lives.  Both major political parties in the US are aping European quislings for fear that things might get worse.  The public too are patronized with fears of fear; indeed admonished to expect and accept both immigrants and serial depredations indefinitely.

All the while, the Oval Office is mocked by a religion it dares not name.  John Kerry is characterized as an “uncircumcised geezer,” an ambiguous slur that surely assumes too much about men who work at Foggy Bottom.  By some bizarre mutation of values, the White House, ayatollahs, mullahs, imams, and assassins all have similar goals -- a passive if not submissive America.

Al Baghdadi is also annoyed that Obama trivializes ISIS, aka the Islamic State, as Daesh or ISIL.  According to a poorly sourced MOSAD report, the Caliph is considering rebranding ISIS, or jihad, as “Global Warming” in order to get better ink at the New York Times.  Islam and Armageddon seldom appear above the fold these days.
Beltway apologists respond in kind by claiming that the answer to ISIS, like warm weather, is in “the long game.”  You could read such bravado as an endorsement of the status quo, kick-the-can, surrender, or all three.  The long game strategy is a comfort much like knowing that in the end we are all dead anyway.  Team Obama’s most cherished ambition now seems to be to limp out of Dodge ahead of the apocalypse.

When we see something, we should say something! Say something like, “What were Americans thinking when they put Steve Quincy Urkel in charge of the world’s most confused democracy?”

Indeed! Never mind Bashar al-Assad in Syria or Vladimir Putin in Russia; regime change in America can’t come soon enough.

Insh’allah and allah hu akbar!

Sword-wielding Muslim chases neighbor in California, and other news from adherents of the Religion of Peace

A Muslim man wielding a sword screamed that he would “die and kill for Allah” as he chased his terrified neighbor down the street.  It happened on Monday in Victorville, California, located in San Bernardino County.  The Victor Valley News reports that the suspect, Mohamed Elrawi, was taken into custody after investigators searched his home and found a copy of the Quran and other items suggesting he had become “radicalized.”  (I happen to think the word “radicalized” is as bogus as the term “radical Islam.”  People do not become radicalized.  They become devout.)
Well, that’s creepy.
Breitbart reports that a Jordanian with an American passport proclaimed he wanted “to join Allah” while attempting to open a plane door mid-flight.  The flight crew and passengers had to restrain him until the plane was able to land.
The incident occurred ... when the man – a Jordanian with an American passport – began to scream that he wished to join Allah and had to be restrained.

Crew and passengers, which included the Serbian national handball team, lended their efforts to keeping the man restrained on Flight 1406, an Airbus A319 before he was arrested upon landing in Serbia.

Milan Djukic, president of the Vojvodina handball team said: “About halfway into the flight he tried to open a plane door, but the cabin crew stopped him.”

Two players from the team, at the request of flight stewards, reportedly watched the man who is said to have spoken English in an American accent. He was placed in the business class section until landing, according to the Daily Mail.

A Lufthansa spokesman said: “A passenger got up and tried to do something at the door, but was stopped by crew members and other passengers.

“The passenger was then restrained for the remainder of the flight in his seat and handed over to the authorities in Belgrade.
That’s creepy, too
But as creepy as this?  The Daily Mail reports:
A Muslim convert who protested outside Parliament with a sign saying 'I am Muslim, do you trust me enough for a hug?' is facing jail for threatening to bomb an MP's house.

Craig Wallace used the sign as Stop The War protesters came to Westminster for the vote on military action in Syria last week.

It stated: 'I am Muslim, I am labelled a terrorist, I trust you, do you trust me enough for a hug?'
But the 23-year-old, of Willesden Green, north London, is now facing a possible prison sentence after he threatened Tory MP Charlotte Leslie online following the vote.

Wallace, who calls himself Muhammad Mujahid Islam online, wrote on Facebook: 'I'm going to smash her windows then drop a bomb on her house while she's tucked up in bed. You dirty f****** pig-s******* s***.'

On December 3, the day after MPs voted to authorise the air strikes, he wrote: 'I'm going to find her and show her what it's like to murder innocents. You dirty pig-f****** w****.' (snip)
His defence lawyer Abu Sayeed said Wallace had posted the messages after he had been out protesting against the Syrian bombing vote for 'two or three days and had very little sleep and had not taken his medication.' (snip)

Wallace, whose mother died when he was young and who claims his father abused him as a child, had attended an anti-war rally outside Parliament on the day of the Syria vote and was pictured carrying a giant white poppy.

Apparently many Londoners were moved to tears by the man’s action as he stood blindfolded (by a keffiya, of course) with the sign at his feet, as one needy person after another gave him hugs.

The Muslim as victim narrative just doesn’t quit, even if the person threatened to bomb the house of a member of Parliament.

Well, but after all, he was upset.  And tired (two days of protest will really take it out of you).  And off his meds.  And his mother died when he was young.  And his father abused him.  But he carried a large white poppy as a sign of peace and said he trusted everyone and everyone should trust him, so it’s all good, right?

San Bernardino: The Answer is an Immigration Moratorium — and Muslim Expulsion

By Peter Brimelow

VDare.com, December 4, 2015
. . .
Screening DOESN’T WORK

All too obviously, Farook and his wife flew under the security services’ powerful radar [San Bernardino shooting suspects raised few red flags before ‘horrendous’ crime, by Roy Carroll etc., The Guardian, December 3, 2015), This is particularly devastating because Tafsheen Malik came here on a fiancée visa which allegedly “has one of the more rigorous security screening processes — presenting far more hurdles than other avenues for foreigners to enter the U.S.” [This Is How Suspected California Shooter Used a ‘Fiancé Visa’, by Ari Melber, NBC News, December 3, 2015].

But this “rigorous security screening” failed too.

Which is very helpful information when assessing the Obama Administration’s lying claims that the Syrian “refugees” will be carefully “screened.”
. . .
Assimilation DOESN’T WORK

Syed Rizwan Farook was reportedly born in Illinois, the son of Pakistani immigrants, graduated from college, had a career, and appeared (as the cliché has it) to be living “The American Dream.” Yet he still was overcome by “Sudden Jihad Syndrome.” Or, as Refugee Resettlement Watch’s Ann Corcoran puts it: Don’t get hung up on screening! It’s the second generation immigrant jihadists we must worry about.

The issue is not “terrorism”—it’s immigrant incompatibility.

A typically metaphysical MSM debate is currently raging as to whether the San Bernardino killings were “terrorism.” VDARE.com’s position: it doesn’t matter. Many immigrant mass murders are not by Muslims, but nevertheless reflect some profound alienation from American society. The answer: no immigration.
. . .
And the immediate answer is: an immigration moratorium (Muslims first).

The ultimate answer must be: expulsion. This was the late Lawrence Auster‘s proposal for dealing with Muslims in the West. He worked this out in considerable detail here; there’s a video version here.

Today, of course, the idea that any immigrant group should be expelled from anywhere in the West is simply unthinkable. But the unthinkable happens quite often

"When Turkey was admitted to NATO in 1952, the Cold War was ramping up and the nation was relatively secular.  Today, however, it’s well known that Turkey has been Islamizing and that its president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is an Islamic supremacist.  Also note that Turkey was the location of the last great Islamic caliphate, the Ottoman Empire.  And some think that just as Benito Mussolini wanted to resurrect the glories of the Roman Empire, Erdoğan and others want to reclaim the far more recent Ottoman dominance."

With NATO member Turkey

Turkey: Why Muslim Nations Shouldn't be Part of NATO

With NATO member Turkey’s recent downing of a Russian aircraft sparking fears of WWIII, a rather politically incorrect question needs to be asked: should a Muslim nation have NATO membership?

Having a country as part of the NATO alliance is no small matter.  Since an attack on one member nation is considered an attack on all, an escalation of the Russian-Turk crisis resulting in military action against Turkey by Russia could, conceivably, lead to a WWIII.  This is why it’s imperative that NATO members be rational actors.
As to this, I have a theory about the shoot-down of the Russian plane.  It’s just a theory, and admittedly it’s “probably” not the explanation in this case.  Yet I think it’s worthy of consideration, especially since it could be a factor — and a profoundly dangerous one — at some point in the future.

When Turkey was admitted to NATO in 1952, the Cold War was ramping up and the nation was relatively secular.  Today, however, it’s well known that Turkey has been Islamizing and that its president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is an Islamic supremacist.  Also note that Turkey was the location of the last great Islamic caliphate, the Ottoman Empire.  And some think that just as Benito Mussolini wanted to resurrect the glories of the Roman Empire, Erdoğan and others want to reclaim the far more recent Ottoman dominance.

Now, let’s say you’re an Islamic supremacist regime leading an Islamizing nation.  Let’s say that, as is par for that course, you believe the whole Earth should be conquered for Islam and have an apocalyptic worldview.  You look at the geopolitical scene and see a decrepit, secularizing West on one side, a place that itself is being Islamized as it slowly descends into irrelevancy.  And opposing this you see Vladimir Putin’s Russia, the only remaining major nation unapologetically Christian, a nation that has rejected the West’s destructive leftist agenda (Putin himself, whether it’s principle or posturing, has served notice that Russia is willing to be Christianity’s standard bearer).
Before elaborating further, it must be emphasized that an Islamic apocalyptic worldview is so foreign to most Westerners that they can’t even conceive of it.  As to this, however, it has been said that if former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had supreme decision-making power in his land, he would "sacrifice half of Iran for the sake of eliminating Israel.” Remember, we’re dealing with adherents who frequently blow themselves up in an effort to take just a few non-believers with them.  And with this suicide/homicide-bomber mentality so prevalent, it does follow that, sometime, somewhere, it would have to penetrate into Muslim halls of government.

So let’s say this is your mindset.  Is it unfathomable to think you might want to start a war between the Christian and secular “infidels”? Might you not hope that Russia would be destroyed or at least neutered and that the already waning West, in a Pyrrhic victory’s wake, would be left teetering and all the more susceptible to a hot or cold Muslim takeover?

Even if what resulted wasn’t the sudden rise of the final and greatest caliphate, it’s logical to assume that a WWIII could lead to a new world order.  Also realize that most of Dar al-Islam (that apart from Turkey) would most probably sit on the sidelines during such an affair; thus, it would likely emerge stronger relative to the West and the rest than it had been before.  Turkey, of course, would take it on the chin as part of NATO.  But what does that matter to a “half my country for Allah” type?

Also note that it wouldn’t have to be the Turkish regime’s official policy to spark such a war for the action in question to be taken; rogue elements within the government or military could be enough.  And regardless of how it all shook out, wouldn’t the prospect of getting the “infidels” to kill each other be very attractive to a suicide-homicide-vest type? All it means for the Muslim “collateral damage” is that a lot of men get their 72 virgins far sooner.  And given that jihadists have sacrificed themselves for the sake of killing just a few non-believers, what kind of an appeal do you think wiping out millions of them would hold?

Once again, the aforementioned is just a theory, and an unlikely explanation, insofar as the downing of the Russian plane goes.  But how likely or unlikely is it that it could be a factor in the future? All we need is just one apocalyptic jihadist at the right nation’s helm.

There are two Islamic countries in NATO, Turkey and Albania.  The latter is only 58 percent Muslim and a quarter irreligious, yet even it spawns some terrorists.  And is having Muslim nations in NATO much like having Muslim individuals in the West? Is it just a matter of time before one of them takes up the sword for Allah?

Of course, many will scoff.  It’s important here, however, not to fall victim to that common human failing of mirroring, when we project our own values, priorities and mindset onto others.  As Michael Caine’s character explained in the film The Dark Knight, “[S]ome men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.  They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.  Some men just want to watch the world burn.”

And some men want to burn it to buy the promise of Paradise.

The Danger in Islamic Prayer

It is crucial that Westerners discover what Muslims are saying when they recite the Islamic mandatory prayers before sharing their places of worship. A few days ago, an Ontario synagogue invited Muslim worshippers to lead the Friday prayer. This article explains what the Islamic daily prayers mean, with focus on the Friday prayer within the context of Islamic law or sharia. Being better informed will make Westerners think twice before opening the doors to Muslim for prayer.

Canadian Muslims in southern Ontario were invited to preach the supremacy of Islam at a local synagogue and church. In a goodwill gesture, Peterborough’s Mark Street United Church and Beth Israel Synagogue opened their doors to Muslims for prayer following the recent fire damage of the Masjid al-Salaam mosque. President of the Beth Israel Synagogue and his board of directors hosted two Islamic prayer sessions this past Friday with not even a suspicion that the underlying theme in Islamic prayer is to curse and do away with nonbelievers like them.
A deep hatred and rejection of Judaism and Christianity are hardwired into Islamic doctrine, including the Koran. Many of its chapters are incorporated into mandatory daily Islamic prayer. The very first Koranic chapter, considered the most exalted of all chapters, is a prayer directed to Allah asking him to keep Muslims away from the misguided path of Jews and Christians. This chapter is a necessary part of the five mandatory daily prayers, and is recited not once, but anywhere from 17 to 100 times a day by devout Muslims (or in a broader sense, 6200 to 36,500 times a year).

Repetition priming inculcates the notion of superiority over non-Muslims into the minds of all Muslims, instilling a deep mistrust of non-Muslims: “Guide us along the right path, the path of those whom you favored (referring to Muslims), and not along the path of those who earn your anger (referring to Jews), or those who go astray (referring to Christians). The references to Jews and Christians are in accord with Al-Tirmidhi’s authentic hadiths (or Islamic narrations attributed to Mohammed) and other venerated Islamic interpretations, as reflected in some English translations of the Koran.

Friday prayers also include recitation of Koranic chapters 62 and 63 where Jews who reject Allah’s commandments in the Torah are loathed and compared to “the likeness of a donkey carrying books but understands them not.” Jews are told to “long for death” if they pretend to be Allah’s favorite.  Nonbelievers are condemned to a state of error until Mohammed is sent by Allah to purify them “from the filth of disbelief and polytheism” with his verses or revelations from Allah.  “Hypocrites” or apostates from Islam are considered enemies, “so beware of them, may Allah destroy them!". Is it any wonder why many Muslims are prohibited from being friends with Jews and Christians? The Koran condemns them to hell (which melts their skin and bellies) in nearly 500 verses for not believing in Mohammed and for not converting to Islam.

Such are the prayers that are recited over and over again in mosques, and now in some churches and synagogue across the world as more Muslim communities continue to grow and expand. Oblivious to the ignorant Jewish and Christian hosts -- whom the Koran portrays as sons of apes and pigs and as the worst of creatures -- those very same prayers were recently recited by the Peterborough mosque’s muezzin (one who recites the Islamic call to prayer) in the local church and synagogue. His sonorous and somber voice evoked emotion and tears expressing compassion and admiration of Islam during the Islamic prayer session at the Mark Street United Church a couple of Fridays ago.
Little did these people know that he was chanting verses expressing disgust and disdain for nonbelievers, such as themselves. They appeared to be in a trancelike stupor as if undergoing a spiritual awakening -- despite not understanding one word of Arabic prayer that calls for their rejection and eradication due to their misguided behavior. If they only knew what Islamic prayers meant in English, they would not be shedding tears of ignorance, and certainly thinking twice before allowing Muslims to pray in their places of worship. Love thy neighbor should not be a one-way street.

The Peterborough mosque’s imam Shazin Khan, along with other imams and Islamic spokespeople, uses a common deceptive tactic to show the Church audience that Islam cares about people of all religious faiths. He repeats only part of a well-known Koranic verse taken from the Jerusalem Talmud, asserting that saving one human being is like saving all of humanity. However, unlike the original Talmudic verse that applies equally to all humans, the Koranic verse was modified and prohibits only the murder of Muslims. This verse in its entirety is in accord with Islamic law or sharia, which applies the death penalty for killing Muslims, not non-Muslims.

Referring to Judaism and Islam, Kenzu Abdella, president of the Kawartha Muslim Religious Association (in the Peterborough area near Toronto) who formed an alliance with Larry Gillman, President of the Beth Israel Synagogue, informed the Canadian Broadcasting Cooperation that “we have more similarities than differences. We have so much common”.

Contrary to his claim, the differences are so great that 57 Islamic states united in the highly influential Organization of Islamic Cooperation rejected the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that views all people as equal and free, and replaced it with the Cairo Declaration of Human Rights in Islam (CDHRI) that views people as neither equal nor free.

The CDHRI, being subject to sharia, limits the right to freedom of religion and expression according to what sharia permits.  Women have lesser rights than men, as do non-Muslims than Muslims. Slavery is allowed as it still has not been abolished in Islam. Human rights in Islam rely upon the most illiberal, draconian, and barbaric corporal punishments imaginable. Where are the similarities?

Mr. Abdella failed to mention that Islam considers itself the mother religion of both Judaism and Christianity, that it existed prior to those two false religions that veered away from the path of strict monotheism. They became corrupt and ignorant until Mohammed was sent by Allah as a gift to set things straight and convert all back to Islam or “the religion of true unspoiled nature”, as per the CDHRI.

The Islamic end-times, according to Bukhari, the most authentic of all hadith collections, occurs when Jesus, considered the last Muslim prophet in Islam, returns to earth to destroy Christianity (“break the cross”) and forces all to convert or die. But until such a time, radical Muslims must continue waging jihad against Christians and Jews who pay an Islamic tax called jizya that masquerades as halal products to support Islamic terrorism worldwide.
It’s long past time that Westerners familiarize themselves with Islam and think twice before rolling out the welcome mats in their places of worship, especially in light of the tens of thousands of unvetted Muslim migrants coming soon to a city near you. Westerners who remain true to their faith by reaching out to Muslim neighbors with compassion will soon find out the hard way that mutual respect can never exist amongst different religions when one views itself as the perfect and supreme religion above all others, as Islam does.

Obama's grand anti-ISIS coalition has fallen apart

When President Obama began the bombing campaign against the Islamic State, he crowed that he had assembled an "unprecedented" coalition of 65 countries, including the active participation of the air forces of the Arab Gulf States.
Now, officials involved in the air campaign against ISIS say that barely a dozen countries are contributing anything at all to the fight, and the Arab Gulf States haven't carried out a bombing mission in months.
And behind closed doors, administration and military officials admit that air support from such key Arab allies as Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) — something the White House once touted as an unprecedented and essential part of the coalition — has all but evaporated.
One Pentagon official directly involved in the counter-Islamic State fight told The Washington Times that the Saudis haven’t flown a mission against the group in nearly three months. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that Bahrain is still involved, but confirmed that Jordan stopped flying sorties against the extremists in August and the UAE hasn’t flown one since March.
A top former Obama administration official who helped build the coalition last year, meanwhile, said that Persian Gulf Arab powers made a strategic gamble months ago to focus their military resources on helping Saudi Arabia wage war against Houthi rebels seen as Iranian proxies in neighboring Yemen — wagering that the U.S. and the European Union would lead the fight against Islamic State.
During the months leading up to last summer’s nuclear deal between Tehran and the West, Yemen had emerged as ground zero for a proxy war pitting Saudi Arabia, the Middle East’s top Sunni Muslim power, and Iran, the region’s largest Shiite power.
The months since have seen waves of Arab air and ground offensives carried out against the Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen, with a particularly deadly day occurring in early September, when 45 UAE solders and five troops from Bahrain were killed in Yemen.
Saudi Arabia – indeed, the world – will fight the Islamic State to the last dead American.  The world may scream bloody murder when American troops are deployed to fight tyrants, but most nations are secretly relieved.  They get the benefit of not having to fight a potential threat while also being able to trash the U.S., which answers a need in their domestic politics.
In truth, only America with her vast resources would be capable of taking down the Islamic State – if we were of a mind to.  Russia's military is strained by deploying a few squadrons of bombers and fighters to Syria, along with a few combat troops.  They do not have the ability to project massive, overwhelming force overseas.
This does not bode well.  If the Gulf States, who are threatened existentially by ISIS, won't defend themselves from the threat, why should we be forced to do the job?  This should serve as a wake-up call for the Arabs; the U.S. will not fight your battles for you anymore.

Middle East Refugees Will Destroy American Culture!
By Don Boys

CSTNews.com, January 19, 2016
. . .
The desire to keep our nation historically American with our language, customs, values, religion, etc., is admirable and nothing to be ashamed of. Why should we want a major shift in the racial ratio, language, customs, and religion? The desire for keeping America in its present state is a reason to be skeptical of mass immigration. Of course, there is no question regarding illegal immigration although non-thinking liberals usually try to justify such criminal activity.

Moreover, it is not racist but realistic to declare that accepting immigrants from most European nations would have less negative impact on America than immigrants from non-white and non-English speaking nations. Now, if my critics will stop screaming incoherently and try to stop the knee jerking (left one, of course) they will be forced to admit the statement is true. My motives can be legitimately questioned but the accuracy of the statement cannot be.

If potential immigrants have never used an indoor toilet; or never driven an automobile; teach that women are inferior to men; believe in multiple wives; think it is normal to behead a “loved one” for being raped; think it acceptable to mutilate baby girls; have no experience with freedom and no desire to be taught such; are committed to sharia law not American law; believe that death is acceptable for one who leaves “the only true religion”; have no money, skills, or desire to attain them; then only a fool would suggest they can be absorbed in American life as easily as people from European nations. Why welcome such people knowing what it will do to our nation?
. . .
Stop all legal immigration now; build the wall and penalize any US business that hires an illegal alien; fine and deport all foreigners who overstay their visas; and demand that Muslim nations absorb the “refugees” fleeing from other Muslim nations.

Hey, if unlimited immigration is good, then let European and Muslim nations take in the immigrants who are “yearning to breathe free….” If it is noble, kind, and compassionate to take in an unlimited number of foreigners, then let the other advanced nations get the “blessings” of immigration. Furthermore, if Muslims are offended when I sing patriotic songs, fly the American flag, and pray to Christ, then tough luck. This is a big world so they can find somewhere else to live. There is plenty of empty space on the Arabian Desert!
