CHARLOTTE CUTHBERTSON - US SAYS 70,000 PEOPLE OVERSTAYED THEIR VISAS LAST YEAR... Of course they really have no what the real count is!

US Says 700,000 People Overstayed Their Visas Last Year

August 9, 2018 Last Updated: August 9, 2018

WASHINGTON—More than 700,000 foreign visitors to the United States overstayed their welcome in fiscal 2017, according to a new report by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The report looked at non-immigrant visitors who entered by air or sea—and excluded overstayers from Mexico and Canada.
Student and exchange visitors overstayed at double the rate of other visitors and totaled around 70,000. Of those, 40 percent came from four countries: China, India, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia. More than 15,000 students from China overstayed. Eleven countries had overstay rates of more than 30 percent.
Within the visa-waiver program, the worst offenders by sheer numbers were the United Kingdom (almost 26,000 overstayers) and France (more than 16,000). While the overstay rate for all visa-waiver countries was 0.58 percent, Portugal and Hungary both had overstay rates that topped 2 percent.
Of the non-visa waiver countries, Brazil and Venezuela led the list, with 33,700 and 30,400 overstayers, respectively. The overstay average for this category was 2.06 percent, with several countries recording rates that went beyond 20 percent, including Chad, Eritrea, Liberia, Djibouti, and Solomon Islands.

Overall, the fiscal 2017 overstay rates are lower than those of fiscal 2016, according to DHS.
“While, at this time, there is no specific cause that can be directly attributed to the decrease in overstay rates between FY report years, it’s believed that some contributing factors are: improvements in immigration enforcement, and border security operations, and country specific changes to political, infrastructure, or humanitarian conditions,” the report states.
Although overstayers made up a fraction (1.3 percent) of the 52.6 million non-immigrant visitors in fiscal 2017, they outnumbered (700,000 to 304,000) the number of illegal aliens who were apprehended crossing into the United States between ports of entry.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has started several initiatives to track visitors, and biometrically document their exit more efficiently.
In 2017, CBP began to email visa-waiver program travelers who had overstayed their period of admission, t0 alert them to the ramifications of their violation.
This year, the agency began emailing an alert to visitors before their time period expired.
Countries within the visa-waiver program that have an overstay rate at 2 percent or higher are required to implement an awareness campaign to educate their nationals on the importance of abiding by the terms of their admission to the United States, according to DHS.
While the process for incoming passengers is much more stringent than for outgoing passengers, CBP started testing facial-recognition technology for internationally departing air passengers at Atlanta/Hartsfield International airport in fiscal 2016.
In fiscal 2017, CBP expanded its biometric exit projects with airports and airlines, and DHS said it is moving to a seamless biometric exit collection process.
The agency is investing heavily in facial-recognition technology. This year, at Miami International Airport, it started providing incoming passengers with expedited passport screening via facial-recognition technology, which verifies a traveler’s identity by matching them to the document they are presenting.
In Boston, JetBlue passengers don’t need a boarding pass; facial recognition is used to confirm identities.

JUDICIAL WATCH: NOVEMBER MIDTERMS 'POISED FOR A TSUNAMI OF VOTER FRAUD'

Exclusive–Eric Eggers: November Midterms ‘Poised for a Tsunami of Voter Fraud’

The Government Accountability Institute’s (GAI) Eric Eggers, author of Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election, warned of a potential “tsunami of voter fraud” within November’s forthcoming midterm elections during a Tuesday interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Rebecca Mansour.

Eggers pointed to narrow electoral margins of victory in Tuesday’s elections as evidence of vulnerability to the threat of voter fraud.
LISTEN:
Eggers noted how voter fraud had been documented in numbers large enough to swing presidential elections. He pointed to the volume of “double-votes” GAI identified among Florida residents via a study of voter rolls from 2016’s presidential election.
Eggers said, “[The GAI] performed a nationwide first-of-its-kind study to look at actual votes that were cast in the 106 election. We combined all the publicly available voter rolls that we could get, and we hired a data consultant and contracted with a commercial database … and what we found was stunning. We found that in the state of Florida, in 2016, there were 2,100 double-votes that were cast. That means 2,100 times, somebody that lives in Florida cast a ballot, and then cast a second ballot in a different state. … That’s nearly four times what the margin of victory was in the presidential election in 2000.”
Eggers added, “These are the kinds of stakes that can absolutely swing an election.”
Eggers explained how left-wing organizations funded by George Soros agitate against efforts to implement voter-ID laws and prevent double-voting by persons registered to vote in multiple states.
Eggers stated, “Organizations that are funded by George Soros both fight to keep those vulnerabilities in place, as in Ohio, by trying to prevent efforts to pass voter-ID laws or to make the voter rolls more secure; but then they also — and this is really the insidious part — they fund organizations that go out and round up voters, regardless of legality of their status, and force them through the vulnerabilities in the system.”
Eggers continued, “There are 248 counties in this country that have more registered voters than actual citizens of legal voting age. It’s a problem because it creates opportunity for organizations like the formerly known ACORN and La Raza — they’re all funded by Soros — to go and figure out where the vulnerabilities are and force the voters — whether they’re legal or not — through the gaps.”
Mansour asked Eggers to explain “granny farming,” a method of voter fraud via deception of elderly — and occasionally mentally and/or physically disabled — citizens via absentee ballots.
Eggers explained, “Voter fraud amongst absentee ballot fraud among senior citizens is maybe the largest problem that we face as a country, because absentee ballots are essentially an honor system.
Eggers continued, “These political operatives, they have lists, and they know where the senior centers are and who the senior citizens are. Campaigns will pay these people, and they go to senior citizen centers and they play bingo or watch Matlock or whatever it is to cultivate a relationship with these senior citizens and then they have them fill out a form, or maybe even fill out a form on their behalf, and it requests an absentee ballot, and then they send it off. Two days later when the absentee ballot form comes in, they get there and then either with the vague recognition of the senior citizen — or sometimes without the recognition — they will then fill out the ballot of that senior citizen and fill it in.”
Eggers alluded to an instance of “granny farming” in southern Florida: “We’ve seen numerous examples where people are caught with notebooks that detail intricate systems of payment and organization.”
Eggers speculated on the left’s willingness to use voter fraud to combat the Trump administration. He said, “The really scary thing is [that] we live in sort of unprecedented times of political turmoil and opposition. The left seems to be motivated to create their desired political outcome unlike anytime I can remember. … The hatred for the current administration is such that they clearly feel like they have the moral authority, so any activity — including taking ballots from unsuspecting senior citizens — seems to be supported because the ends are going to justify the means.”
Eggers concluded, “I actually think that because of the lax oversight and the organized effort, motivated like never before, to take back the House, take back the Senate, impeach the president, end ICE, I think we’re actually poised for a tsunami of voter fraud like we’ve never seen before in this country.”
Eggers also discussed a Washington Post critique published Tuesday of the GAI’s voter fraud investigation. He noted the critique’s use of a Soros-funded organization and John Podesta-linked personality.
We’re actually encouraged, I think, because if people are attacking you then I think you’re doing something right,” said Eggers. “The Washington Post came out with a story where it cited an allegedly non-partisan expert that tried to criticize the report we did at GAI in which we examined and found all those issues of double-voting.”
Eggers added, “The problem is, the people they cite as the quote-unquote experts are actually activists. All of them have one thing in common: they’re all affiliated with funding from George Soros; the Brennan Center has taken millions of dollars from George Soros and the academic they cite from Portland, Oregon has worked with John Podesta’s Center for American Progress [and] the Democracy Fund which is partnered with some Soros organization.”
He also noted that the Post “didn’t do us the courtesy of reaching out and giving us a fair chance to kind of point out, maybe, some of the inherent bias of the people they were speaking to.”

Nancy Pelosi: Voting for Democrats Gives ‘Leverage’ to Illegal Aliens

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) described voting for Democrats as giving “leverage” to illegal aliens during a Wednesday press conference in El Paso, TX.

Pelosi is set to become Speaker of the House if Democrats win next year, after losing the position when Republicans won the House in 2010.

In her remarks, Pelosi opted against distinguishing between lawful and unlawful immigrants describing amnesty for illegal aliens as “inevitable for America.”
Partial transcript below:

PELOSI: I don’t want to be political here. I would say that to the extent that people hear the stories, it’s interesting because there was a recent survey that said if you ask people about their attitudes toward immigration and newcomers to the country, they might have one view. They haven’t thought about it a whole lot except they’re hearing the president, and this and that. But if they know one family, if they know one immigrant family, if they go to school with any immigrant children, or if their children go to school with any immigrant children, if they go to church with immigrants, they have a completely positive view. It changes everything. That’s why I keep talking about public sentiment. And so because this is the right thing to do, I have confidence that we will get where we need to go. But everything is about time, and we want to shorten the distance as your question indicated between what we think is inevitable for America. They think it is inconceivable, but we believe that we can get this done. We are not going to be able to get it done under the Republican leadership in Congress. We believe that we will have leverage when we win in November. And why is that important? Because it gives leverage to every family, to every mom who courageously brought her child across the desert to escape — to escape death, rape, gang violence, and the rest. Because it gives hope, because of the leverage it gives to families who may have followed dad home for a family funeral and now can’t come back into the country. As all of those injustices have to be corrected, there’s a path and that path is greatly brightened by the knowledge that is in this community who sees firsthand simple solutions which make a big difference in people’s lives. And so we’re getting ready for this and it is only to come back to a place that honors our values, recognizes the importance of immigration to the success of America.
Pelosi has advocated for illegal aliens — but has also been the target of their frustration, when amnesty activists believe she is not acting quickly enough. A group of illegal aliens crashed in September of 2017, demanding amnesty for all illegal immigrants — not just the so-called “Dreamers” — while chanting, “Brown power!” and “Trans lives matter!”

A clearly shaken Nancy Pelosi mutters "they don't want the DREAM Act" about pro DACA protesters who interrupt press conference.

In February, Pelosi delivered a speech that lasted more than eight hours on the U.S. House floor, demanding a vote for amnesty for illegal aliens brought to the country as minors, who have been helped by the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program since 2012. (The program was canceled by the Trump administration last year, but remains active thanks to the courts.)
In her address, Pelosi described illegal aliens as “more American than Americans.”
“Illegal immigrants are a blessing, they are doing what the Founding Fathers would wish, they are the best of the best, more American than Americans, reinvigorating, they are fabulous, beautiful, and patriotic, yes, very patriotic,” she said.

5 Voter Fraud Facts That Could Determine the Midterm Elections

fraud-cover-closeup

As Americans head to the polls to vote in primaries this month, there has been much discussion about the threats to the American election system, both domestically and from abroad.

While some groups falsely claim that voter fraud is as rare as a lightning strike, some people still think the 2016 elections were either hacked by the Russians or tainted by millions of illegal votes. But there does seem to be agreement that American elections are far from secure. I have seen no evidence that Russians actually changed any votes in 2016. But as a research director for the Government Accountability Institute (GAI), and the author of Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election, I found plenty of evidence of fraud inside our borders.
Here are the five things everyone should know as they head to the polls this month:
1. Nearly 3 million people are registered to vote in two different states.
Voter registration records have been neglected by many states for years, making them rife with flaws. In its opinion upholding Ohio’s efforts to clean up its voter rolls, the Supreme Court cited two Pew Center statistics from 2012 most Americans would find shocking:
  1. 24 million voter registrations in the U.S. are either “invalid or significantly inaccurate.”
  2. 2.75 million people are said to be registered in more than one State.
During the 2016 election cycle, 248 counties in 24 states had more registered voters than residents of legal voting age, according to research by the Public Interest Legal Foundation.
And those are just the registrations. What about the actual votes? GAI’s analysis of the 2016 election found records for 45,880 voters over the age of 115. And 15,000 votes were cast by voters whose records claimed their home address was a post office box, a UPS store, a post office, or some other public building
2. Voter fraud has been documented in numbers big enough to swing presidential elections.
After the 2016 election, GAI performed an unprecedented comprehensive, national study of the actual votes cast in 2016. We were able to get publicly available voter rolls from 21 states, and we hired a data expert and used proprietary commercial databases – the same ones used to combat EBT fraud and other types of identity theft. Using the most conservative set of assumptions and examining only one type of voter fraud – voting in more than one state in the same election – we uncovered more than 8,400 cases of confirmed double-voting in the 2016 election. Of those, 2,100 people voted in Florida and also cast a ballot in another state. When I shared GAI’s findings with an official with the Florida Attorney General’s office, he deadpanned: “That’s a lot of lightning strikes.” To put this in perspective, remember that just 537 votes in Florida decided the presidential election in 2000.
3. George Soros spends tens of millions of dollars to keep our elections vulnerable and to fund groups that exploit those vulnerabilities.
George Soros has a long history of funding groups that have been caught committing voter fraud. Soros poured millions into a group that was both accused of voter fraud and paid a massive fine for violating election laws in the 2004 election. He’s also been a consistent donor to groups like ACORN and La Raza, both of which changed their names because of chronic association with voter fraud. Today, those and other Soros-funded nonprofits file lawsuits to block any attempts to improve election security. In 2016, Soros funded a multi-state fight against Voter ID laws across the country. He enlisted former Clinton campaign attorney Marc Elias, who filed suit on behalf of several groups, including liberal activists Ohio Organizing Collaborative (OOC).
OOC was later accused of falsely registering dead people to vote, with one group member being sentenced to prison.
Soros also gives millions to the so-called nonpartisan Brennan Center, which defines voter fraud in the narrowest possible terms. The truth is, any action that devalues the weight of an honest vote is vote fraud. It nullifies honest voters. It steals their vote. And there are plenty of examples of it all over the country.
4. The vulnerabilities of our voter rolls and elections not only victimize honest American voters, but the vulnerable populations the Left claims it wants to help.
The victims of our electoral vulnerabilities include every honest voter in the country. But they also include the groups and demographics the Left claims to support, but really just victimizes and exploits. In my new book, I show how senior citizens are routinely targeted for their absentee ballots in a practice known as “granny farming.”  One woman in South Florida was caught with notebooks detailing the hundreds of payments she received for collecting ballots from senior voters who were impaired. She got only two misdemeanor charges and was sentenced to probation, partly because one of her victims had died before charges could be filed.
The ease with which felons remain on voter rolls and cast illegal ballots only harms their later efforts to see their full voting rights restored. Sometimes, ex-felons even work for the elections department and still don’t know they shouldn’t be voting.
Non-citizens have the most to lose from our lax oversight of elections. Registering to vote in many states is as easy as getting your driver’s license, but DMV officials in some states are prohibited by law from providing non-citizens proper guidance so they don’t accidentally register to vote. Illegally registering to vote forever imperils a non-citizen’s ability to become a naturalized citizen. If they actually vote, non-citizens could face deportation, even if they are legal residents. Cases of non-citizens voting just because they thought they could, without having malicious intent, are common.
A newspaper editor in Las Vegas, after interviewing two illegal aliens who were forced to vote by unions connected to former Sen. Harry Reid, concluded “voter registration is not a groundless conspiracy or hypothetical threat to our Democracy. In Nevada, a battleground state that could decide the presidency and control of the U.S. Senate, it is real.”
5. Fights for non-citizen voting rights will be more common.
President Trump recently said “only American citizens should vote in American elections.” But a majority of Democrats, for the first time, disagree. While most Americans agree with President Trump overall, 54 percent of Democrats and 53 percent of self-described liberals support granting illegal immigrants the right to vote. And the push from the Left won’t slow down. DNC President Tom Perez’s former employer, Casa De Maryland, has pushed for non-citizen voting rights for years. Perez’s hometown of Takoma Park, Maryland, allowed non-citizen voting beginning in 1992.
Federal law prohibits non-citizens from voting in federal elections, but 11 states currently allow non-citizen voting of some kind. Cities like Chicago and San Francisco allow non-citizen voting in some local elections.
Sadly, this will threaten the citizenship chances of more legal immigrants who may be confused by the inconsistency surrounding their voting rights. Thus, they will be victimized by the same political organizations that wanted their votes in the first place.
These are the realities of voting in America in 2018. Soros-funded groups and mainstream media outlets will continue to tell you that voter fraud doesn’t exist, but that requires you to believe two things:
  1. Voter registrations are accurate and secure from fraudulent registrations.
  2. No one is trying to manipulate outcomes for political purposes.
Sadly, voter registration vulnerabilities do exist and do encourage fraud, and the groups denying it for their own purposes are very real and very serious. The reason I wrote Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election was to expose the real “myths” in the voter fraud debate.

Voter Fraud: 670 Ballots Cast in Georgia Precinct with 276 Voters

Six hundred and seventy ballots were cast in a Georgia precinct with 276 registered voters in the state’s primary election, according to the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.

A northeastern Georgia precinct located in Habersham County had 276 registered voters before the state’s primary elections at the end of May, but 670 votes were recorded—indicating that 276 percent of voters turned out in Georgia’s primary election, McClatchy reported.
The recently publicized voting irregularities come as the state investigated other instances of voter fraud—including one where an Atlanta City Hall staffer claimed she had to “print and deliver 500 blank absentee ballots” to an advocacy group staffer and pick up additional ballots from the Atlanta mayor’s campaign office to drop them off at an office in Fulton County.
Part of the reason for the increase in voter fraud claims stems from concerns about the security of Georgia’s electronic voting systems, as Georgia is one of a handful of states, including New Jersey, South Carolina, Delaware, and Louisiana, that uses electronic voting machines that do not produce a paper trail for voters to verify their ballots.
Elections experts say the lack of a paper trail makes the ballots difficult to audit.
A voter in one sworn statement said she and her husband were assigned to different polling places and city council districts even though both were registered to vote at the same address, according to McClatchy.
In other instances, voters arrived at polling places indicated on the secretary of state’s website only to be told by election officials they had to vote elsewhere.
One Atlanta Democrat even said that a voting machine gave him a ballot displaying the 5th Congressional District when he was supposed to get a ballot for the 6th Congressional district.
Harri Hursti, an election cybersecurity expert, said the incorrect ballots could have been the result of a clerical error or manipulation of voter data by hackers.
A spokesperson for the office of Georgia’s Secretary of State defended the security of the state’s ballots in a statement in response to the recent allegations of voter fraud.
Spokeswoman Candice Broce wrote in an email:
Alongside federal, local, and private sector partners, we continue to fight every day to ensure secure and accurate elections in Georgia that are free from interference. To this day, due to the vigilance, dedication, and hard work of those partners, our elections system and voting equipment remain secure.
The latest revelations of voter fraud come soon after the release of Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election, a new book by Eric Egger, the Government Accountability Institute’s (GAI) research director
Egger’s book points out that voter fraud is increasingly common and encouraged by left-wing mega-donors like George Soros who support organizations that commit voter fraud. The book also notes that enough voter fraud has been documented to swing a presidential election and is enough of a problem that it could impact the 2018 midterm elections.

U.S. Election Meddling: Nationwide Voter Fraud, Importation of 15M Foreign-Born Voters

Shelby Lum, Richmond Times-Dispatch via The Associated Press

19 Jul 2018Washington, D.C.

As the establishment media, GOP, and Democrats fret over the influence foreign countries have on U.S. elections, the leading threats to the American electorate remain nationwide voter fraud and mass immigration.

Though President Trump’s administration sought to thoroughly investigate voter fraud through the Presidential Commission on Election Integrity, the board was handed off to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in order to bypass obstruction from national Democrats who refused to turn over voter data.
Voter Fraud
The number of convictions against voter fraud continues to rise, with now nearly 940 criminal convictions on the books across the U.S., according to the latest data from the Heritage Foundation.
Likewise, the number of cases of voter fraud has risen. Heritage’s Voter Fraud Database now features 1,071 cases of voter fraud that spans across 47 states.
In the most recent study by the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) on voter fraud, the think tank found 8,471 high likely cases of double voting. About 7,271 of those cases were inter-state double voting, while the remaining 1,200 cases were of intra-state double voting.
“The probability of correctly matching two records with the same name, birthdate, and social security number is close to 100 percent,” the GAI report noted.
Kansas Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Kris Kobach is fighting in his state to enforce voting laws that would mandate voters  prove their U.S. citizenship. This effort has currently been halted by the left-wing ACLU organization and a circuit judge who recently claimed that it was unconstitutional for a state to demand voters provide their U.S. citizenship records. Years ago, proof of citizenship voting laws were upheld as fully constitutional.
“Compare [Russia meddling in the 2016 presidential campaigns] to the kind of foreign influence in the actual election numbers in foreign nationals voting,” Kobach told Breitbart News. “That’s real and much more consequential and it’s happening all over the country.”
Kobach said his expert witness in the suit with the ACLU over the proof of citizenship law revealed that as many as 33,000 foreign nationals are on the voter rolls in Kansas. For states like California, with the largest foreign-born population in the country, the number of foreign nationals on the voter rolls is likely in the hundreds of thousands or even the millions, Kobach says.
Mass Immigration
Similarly, mass legal and illegal immigration to the U.S. continues to be the largest driver of population increases and demographic shifts in the country. Every year, more than 1.5 million immigrants are admitted to the country. The U.S. has imported more than ten million immigrants in the last decade.
The vast majority of foreign nationals arrive through the process known as “chain migration,” where newly naturalized citizens can bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S. Every two new immigrants to the country bring an additional seven foreign relatives with them.
As Breitbart News has extensively reported, the U.S. is on track to import about 15 million foreign-born voters by the year 2038. That is nearly quadruple the size of the annual number of U.S. births; about four million American babies are born every year.
Through chain migration alone, the U.S. will import about eight million foreign-born voters in the next two decades.
The country’s continued mass immigration policies are likely to hand over electoral dominance to Democrats in statewide and national elections, Breitbart News has noted.
Analysis conducted by Axios’s Chris Canipe and Andrew Witherspoon shows the overwhelming trend of foreign-born populations voting Democrats into office over Republicans.
The victory of socialist Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in New York’s 14th District is the latest case where a booming foreign-born voting population pushed the far-left activist over the edge to beat out establishment, high ranking Democrat Rep. Joe Crowley.
Ocasio-Cortez’s district is close to 50 percent foreign-born, a drastic shift of an area that was once populated primarily by native-born Americans. Ocasio-Cortez ran her congressional campaign on abolishing all immigration enforcement across the U.S.
In California, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) is facing a challenge from State Senator Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles), and the California Democratic Party has endorsed León. The far-left challenger was the key proponent of California’s sanctuary state law that protects criminal illegal aliens from being deported.
University of Maryland, College Park researcher James Gimpel has found in recent years that more immigrants to the U.S. inevitably means more Democrat voters and thus, increasing electoral victories for the Democratic Party.
In 2014, Gimpel’s research concluded with three major findings:

·         Immigrants, particularly Hispanics and Asians, have policy preferences when it comes to the size and scope of government that are more closely aligned with progressives than with conservatives. As a result, survey data show a two-to-one party identification with Democrats over Republicans.

·         By increasing income inequality and adding to the low-income population (e.g. immigrants and their minor children account for one-fourth of those in poverty and one-third of the uninsured) immigration likely makes all voters more supportive of redistributive policies championed by Democrats to support disadvantaged populations.

·         There is evidence that immigration may cause more Republican-oriented voters to move away from areas of high immigrant settlement leaving behind a more lopsided Democrat majority.

Years ago, only a handful of elected Democrats would mention how the demographic shift spurred by mass immigration was a benefit to Democrats electorally. Today, it is a widely used talking point of elected Democrats.
Take San Antonio, Texas Mayor Julian Castro, for example. Months ago, Castro admitted that immigration could potentially turn the state of Texas, Florida, and Arizona into Democrat strongholds, like California.

Julián Castro

@JulianCastro

The Hispanic vote in Texas will continue to increase. By 2024 Democrats can win Texas, Arizona and Florida. A big blue wall of 78 electoral votes.

“The Democrats have now become very open about what they are doing and they state it very clearly,” Kobach said of the Democrats’ use of immigration for shifting the electorate.
“Now, multiple Democrats are saying their plan is to import new voters to change elections,” Kobach said.
In an analysis from Georgetown University, the University of California, and Banque de France, researchers discovered that immigration to the country continuously increases Democrats’ chances of winning elections:
On average across election types, immigration to the U.S. has a significant and negative impact on the Republican vote share, consistent with the typical view of political analysts in the U.S. [Emphasis added]
This average effect – which is driven by elections in the House – works through two main channels. The impact of immigration on Republican votes in the House is negative when the share of naturalized migrants in the voting population increases. Yet, it can be positive when the share of non-citizen migrants out of the population goes up and the size of migration makes it a salient policy issue in voters’ minds. [Emphasis added]
These results are consistent with naturalized migrants being less likely to vote for the Republican Party than native voters and with native voters’ political preferences moving towards the Republican Party because of high immigration of non-citizens. This second effect, however, is significant only for very high levels of immigrant presence. [Emphasis added]
In 2016, the legal and illegal immigrant population reached a record high of 44 million. By 2023, the Center for Immigration Studies estimates that the legal and illegal immigrant population of the U.S. will make up nearly 15 percent of the entire U.S. population.
Mexico has the largest group of legal and illegal foreign nationals in the U.S., with 1.1 million immigrants from the country arriving in the U.S. between 2010 and 2016. Mexican nationals make up roughly one in eight new arrivals to the U.S. On average, every one Mexican immigrant brings six foreign relatives with them to the country through chain migration.

Will Californians Prevail Against the Little Picture of Hell?

https://townhall.com/columnists/arthurschaper/2018/06/05/draft-n2487359

The state of California has descended into a modern-day version of Dante’s Inferno, where treachery of all kinds occupies the bottom circle. Public sector unions are running (or rather ruining) the state into bankruptcy, betraying the public trust while charging the taxpayers for the perverse privilege. Republicans collude with the supermajority of Democrats to raise taxes, fees, and unrelenting regulatory burdens.
The public schools indoctrinate their young charges to hate this country and the rule of law. Illegal aliens continue overwhelming the state, draining California’s already depleted public services while endangering our lives, the rule of law, and public safety for all citizens. The federal government has filed lawsuits against Sanctuary California, and ICE is rounding up illegals in their homes and in workplaces. However, demonic pro-illegal forces still parade in the streets and cross our borders, defying American sovereignty. Larger cities have more homeless than homes for citizens.
The natural disasters are hitting crisis level, too. The Bible depicts torturous flames with respite in hell without respite, (Luke 16: 24). So too parched conditions have engulfed California. Wildfires have become a year-round terror, yet the state’s leadership refuses to prepare emergency water storage. This past week, two hundred firefighters had to quell another massive conflagration in south Orange County, and summer hasn’t even begun yet. To make matters legislation to make the current drastic water rationing permanent!
Even wealthy coastal elites have found that the cost of living in California is slowly exceeding its value. Money can’t create water, and financial gain provided nothing for West Los Angeles socialites when a few homeless transients set a blaze along the 405 Freeway overpass along the Santa Monica mountains.
All of this is a testimony to the damage wrought by progressive policies which have transformed California into a picture of hell. That’s precisely what Evangelical preacher Franklin Graham called California … or at least that’s what he called the sanctuary cities. During an interview on the Todd Starnes Show, Graham commented:
"People are leaving the state. The tax base is eroding. They are turning their once beautiful cities into sanctuary cities, which are just a little picture of Hell," Graham said. "Just go to San Francisco and go to this once-beautiful city and see what has happened to it."
But why did the son of the renowned Reverend Billy Graham take time to comment on the harrowing horrors of California? For his latest Gospel Crusade, he visited ten cities in the once-Golden State. Starting on May 20 in Escondido (one of several cities to challenge SB 54, aka the Sanctuary State law over the past three month), Graham is bringing the message of the Good News to the dispirited wasteland along the Left Coast.
Returning to Pastor Graham’s signature statement from the Starnes interview, finally a pastor of stature and renown is condemning sanctuary city policies, and a welcome response from the all-too-quiet church leadership in California and across the country. Pastors should be the first to denounce this misnamed, misleading agenda. The concept of sanctuary comes from the Bible, better known as “cities of refuge” (cf. Numbers 35:11-28), locations reserved for those who had accidentally killed someone. To avoid retribution, they would flee to those cities.
In California, sanctuary policies bar local and state law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration officials to arrest and deport illegal aliens. These cities are not safeguarding otherwise innocent people, but are protecting criminals who have broken into the United States and reside illegally to this day. Pundits left and right contend that these policies actually protect otherwise law-abiding residents to seek help and report crimes. Nothing could be further from the truth.
However, is it fair to tie the long list of hellish outcomes from these left-wing enclaves to their refusal to enforce federal immigration laws?
Yes.
What has happened to sanctuary city San Francisco, for example? The progressivism that made God nothing and man’s “ideas” everything created the s***-hole dystopia that resides there today. It’s an overpriced progressive utopia, to put it charitably. For the vast-majority of residents, even for those who can afford it, a salary of $100,000 a year barely pays the rent. Roommates doubling up is the norm, especially among the Big Tech interns who take the bus to Silicon Valley to work all day on the latest app for the Google, Facebook, EBay overlords.
For the price they pay to live in the city, San Franciscans aren’t getting their money’s worth. Intravenous drug needles litter the streets everywhere. Homelessness is more common than homeownership. “S***hole” better describes the streets of the city, where the feces piles have so overwhelmed the streets, that visitors receive maps on how best to navigate away from the crap and corruption. Street fights among transients and the mentally ill have exploded, rampant moral decline has overshadowed the once great city. Tourists find enough to see, then flee.
Freedom of speech and freedom of religion have lost their place, even though Graham’s latest crusades have succeeded in otherwise unfriendly territory, like Berkeley. Last year, the Patriot Prayer movement, headed by Joey Gibson, attempted to throw two rallies for freedom of speech and thought. The elected officials of San Francisco (including Nancy Pelosi) and the now-deceased mayor Ed Lee, smeared the peaceful program as a “White supremacy rally.” Gibson is half Japanese, by the way.
Where Gibson had tried and failed, Graham’s message of hope accomplished peaceful gatherings with a call to action to California’s Christians. And I say it’s about time. There have been flickers of hope in spite of the deranged left-wing agenda ravaging my home state. Californians in general, and Christians in particular, need to step up. They are called to be light in a dark, hellish world, but nothing good will happen if they don’t vote for their values, then educate the public how to fight against the devilish lawlessness foisted upon us by our political leaders and the cultural elites running—or rather ruining—the state.

The one topic Democrats don't dare bring up in today's SoCal primary

The airwaves in Southern California are flooded with Democratic candidate ads, with most openly touting extremely loony far-left positions – promises of free health care for all, free college for all, beefed up public funding for Planned Parenthood, full gun control, pretty much the full Bernie Sanders plate of pie-in-the-sky goodies.  Democrats, whether in the House, Senate, governor, or assembly races, are all openly offering all the free stuff on the far left's wish list, not holding back at all.  Fiscal discipline isn't in fashion with this bunch.  If I had to speculate, I'd say it's because at the time these platforms were formulated, Democrats were convinced that a blue wave was upon them.  In a crowded field, and at primary time, where only the most committed voters show up, extremism seems to be the way to stand out and get ahead of the pack.
There's one topic among these offerings that isn't being touched – not even in one campaign ad:
Illegal immigration.
As the sign says: "Caution."
We all know that Democrats favor open borders, given the potential for muscling mendicant votes in the state's poorest cities from their well oiled political machines.  Democrats favor DACA, DAPA for the parents, amnesty, state benefits for illegals – from driver's licenses to free health care – an end to deportations, and no border wall, let alone National Guardsmen at the borders.  You can find vague admissions of these stances on candidates' websites, buried deep.
But somehow, this topic isn't one they want to bring up in the heat of the primaries, at least not in ads, where they have an overcrowded slate of candidates on the June ballot, and face the real prospect of seeing no Democrats making it to the slate in November.
Illegal immigration seems to be the electric third rail.
That says a lot about the sentiment of the voters in illegal alien-filled California, which houses one quarter of the nation's illegals.  Nobody's brought up the Democratic plan for free health care for illegals, now wending its way through the California statehouse.  Nobody's asked Gavin Newsom, the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination for governor, what he thinks of the state's inundation of illegals, and he's certainly said nothing to the broad public about it in his ads.  The costs of illegal immigration are being carefully hidden by Democrats.
Meanwhile, city after city and county after county in Southern California has joined the lawsuit against the state for its "sanctuary state" laws, which require them to house and feed illegals instead of turn them over to the feds for breaking the law.  It's probably significant that increasingly blue San Diego and Orange Counties, the two areas Democrats have placed all their hopes and cash on for winning the House back, have joined this movement.
It all suggests that this topic is dry tinder among voters, the internal polls look bad for Democrats on their free everything for illegals, and the Democratic Party line is far more unpopular than anyone on the left is willing to admit.
President Trump should have a field day enacting his orderly immigration agenda, even in California, when crunch time comes at the November midterms.

It Pays to be Illegal in California

 By JENNIFER G. HICKEY  May 10, 2018
It certainly is a good time to be an illegal alien in California. Democratic State Sen. Ricardo Lara last week pitched a bill to permit illegal immigrants to serve on all state and local boards and commissions. This week, lawmakers unveiled a $1 billion health care plan that would include spending $250 million to extend health care coverage to all illegal alien adults.
“Currently, undocumented adults are explicitly and unjustly locked out of healthcare due to their immigration status. In a matter of weeks, California legislators will have a decisive opportunity to reverse that cruel and counterproductive fact,” Assemblyman Joaquin Arambula said in Monday’s Sacramento Bee.
His legislation, Assembly Bill 2965, would give as many as 114,000 uninsured illegal aliens access to Medi-Cal programs. A companion bill has been sponsored by State Sen. Richard Lara.
But that could just be a drop in the bucket. The Democrats’ plan covers more than 100,000 illegal aliens with annual incomes bless than $25,000, however an estimated 1.3 million might be eligible based on their earnings.
In addition, it is estimated that 20 percent of those living in California illegally are uninsured – the $250 million covers just 11 percent.
So, will politicians soon be asking California taxpayers once again to dip into their pockets to pay for the remaining 9 percent?
Before they ask for more, Democrats have to win the approval of Gov. Jerry Brown, who cautioned against spending away the state’s surplus when he introduced his $190 billion budget proposal in January.
Given Brown’s openness to expanding Medi-Cal expansions in recent years, not to mention his proclivity for blindly supporting any measure benefitting lawbreaking immigrants, the latest fiscal irresponsibility may win approval.

And if he takes a pass, the two Democrats most likely to succeed Brown – Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom and former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa – favor excessive social spending and are actively courting illegal immigrant support.

Expert: 170 Registered Voters in Ohio’s 12th District Listed as Over 116 Years Old

Republican Troy Balderson clings to a narrow margin in last night’s special election for Ohio’s 12th Congressional district, underscoring the impact voter fraud can have in key elections around the country.

The separation of 1700 votes, or less than one percent, highlights the recent attempt by Democratic activists to fight efforts to prevent voter fraud from occurring.
For the past four years, George Soros has spent millions of dollars trying to weaken Ohio’s election security by funding efforts to both block its implementation of Voter ID and prevent the state from removing inaccurate registrations.
Soros pledged $5 million to fund Clinton campaign attorney Marc Elias’s efforts to fight voter ID laws in Ohio and two other states ahead of the 2016 election. Elias would file that suit in Ohio on behalf of several groups, including the Ohio Organizing Collaborative, that would have an employee sentenced to prison for voter fraud.
In 2016, liberal activist groups Demos and the ACLU filed suit against the state of Ohio in an attempt to stop its efforts to remove inaccurate voter registrations from its rolls. Soros gave 1.25 million to Demos in 2016, on top of the more than $3 million he had given in previous years. And Soros has been even more generous with the ACLU, giving over $35 million for Trump related lawsuits.
Ultimately, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Ohio’s efforts in a 5-4 decision earlier this year.
But even with voter ID and cleansed voter rolls, there are still problems with Ohio elections.
Consider that 170 registered voters listed as being over 116 years old still existed on the rolls of Ohio’s 12th Congressional when GAI accessed the data last August. That’s 10 percent of Balderson’s current margin of victory, pending provisional ballots. And 72 voters over the age of 116 who “live” in Balderson’s district cast ballots in the 2016 election.
But the Left hasn’t given up trying to create conditions favorable for voter fraud in Ohio. As former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell has pointed out, “hyper-partisan liberals…have their eyes on Ohio.” Electing a Democrat as the state’s top elections official would undoubtedly roll back the hard-won safeguards Ohio has implemented. And as Blackwell points out, as goes Ohio, so goes the Presidency.
