A George Soros-linked dark money behemoth has a peculiar partner in its bid to sink voter ID expansion in Michigan—a group of Republican operatives led by a sitting Republican senator's son.
The firm, which Blunt first registered in Delaware before expanding it to 10 other states, functions as a stealthy subsidiary to Blunt's public-facing canvassing company, HBS+. The setup has allowed Blunt and his partners, fellow Republican operatives Gregg Hartley and Meghan Cox, to rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars from deep-pocketed liberals without alienating their conservative clients.
The revelation shows just how far liberal operatives are willing to go to tank the ongoing voter ID expansion effort in the Great Lakes State. In at least one case, for example, the Sixteen Thirty Fund used its Republican allies at Groundgame to pay canvassers tens of thousands of dollars not to work on the issue.
Blunt, Hartley, and Cox did not return multiple requests for comment. All three have professional ties to Blunt's father. Blunt managed his father's Senate campaigns in both 2010 and 2016, while Hartley from 1997 to 2003 served as then-congressman Blunt's chief of staff. Cox, meanwhile, has directed field efforts for the Republican senator, her online bio states.
But Blunt, Hartley, and Cox went on to register Groundgame in 10 more states, some of which require filers to disclose more information about a company's leaders. In Florida and Texas, for example, Groundgame's filings name Blunt, Hartley, and Cox as directors and list the Missouri address the firm used to accept hundreds of thousands of dollars from Protect MI Vote. Similar filings in Nevada and North Carolina also name the three operatives and refer back to Groundgame's original Delaware registration.
If successful, the Republican-led initiative would require voters in the state to use their IDs or social security numbers to submit absentee ballots, among other provisions. Should the campaign gather roughly 340,000 signatures, Michigan's Republican-controlled legislature could approve the proposal in a manner that circumvents Governor Gretchen Whitmer's (D.) veto power.
Groundgame, however, has helped make that event increasingly unlikely. According to the Detroit News, Michigan candidates are struggling to collect signatures due to a canvasser shortage, an issue that Groundgame's scheme to pay petitioners not to work likely exacerbated. The firm's efforts to tank voter ID expansion in Michigan is at odds with its founders' rhetoric—Hartley has urged Washington, D.C., to "just say yes to better voter id!" and suggested voter ID laws would stop voter fraud.
"Dems keep claiming voter fraud doesn't happen. Voter ID not necessary," Hartley tweeted in 2016. "But this story suggests otherwise."
The Sixteen Thirty Fund, which is part of a vast liberal dark money network managed by D.C.-based consulting firm Arabella Advisors, is able to bankroll Protect MI Vote thanks to contributions from some of the world's richest liberals. Soros, a billionaire left-wing megadonor, gave the group nearly $10 million in 2019. Foreign billionaire Hansjörg Wyss has also contributed at least $12.4 million to the Sixteen Thirty Fund since 2010.
George Soros spent more than $40 million in the past decade to elect scores of liberal prosecutors in half of America's largest jurisdictions, many of which are now roiled by crime.
The Democratic megadonor has backed 75 so-called justice reform prosecutors through direct contributions, PACs, and other third-party entities, the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund revealed in a June report. Though many had little prosecutorial experience when elected, they represent 72 million Americans in some of the nation's most populous municipalities. Ten Soros prosecutors, including Philadelphia district attorney Larry Krasner (D.) and Los Angeles district attorney George Gascon (D.), received $13 million in just the last four years, going on to win races where they had vastly outraised their competition—sometimes by as much as 90 percent. In each race, Soros was the single greatest donor to the campaign.
"Our study shows for the first time, Soros's funding and installation of these district attorneys is fundamentally dismantling the criminal justice system as we know it," Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund president Jason Johnson told the Washington Free Beacon.
The report discloses the power progressive criminal prosecutors wield in the American justice system—and the potential effects of that influence on crime. The FBI in 2020 reported its highest single-year increase in homicides—a 30 percent jump from the previous year. A year later, 12 cities, including Krasner's Philadelphia and Soros-backed district attorney José Garza's Austin, Texas, broke their all-time homicide records. According to the report, more than 40 percent of homicides and a third of all violent and property crimes in 2021 occurred in jurisdictions run by Soros prosecutors.
From cities like Seattle and Los Angeles, to wealthy suburbs near Washington, D.C., to provincial counties in Mississippi and Wisconsin, the prosecutors have radically overhauled bail laws and pursued lightened sentencing in an effort to reduce incarceration. Soros began his quiet effort to remake America's criminal justice system in 2014, donating $50 million to the ACLU for justice reform activism. He followed up in 2016 by funneling more than $3 million into seven local campaigns, including to Cook County district attorney Kim Foxx (D.), the controversial Chicago prosecutor known for dropping charges against Jussie Smollett, who committed a hate crime hoax.
Johnson told the Free Beacon career prosecutors are becoming a thing of the past as former tax attorneys and ACLU lawyers have ascended to top prosecutorial positions on Soros's dime.
Soros's network of justice reform groups includes more than 500 PACs, dark money groups, and nonprofits, the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund report notes. Some, such as the Drug Policy Alliance, where Soros serves as chairman, are open about their affiliation. Others, like the Tides Center, are "donor pass-through organization[s]," which launder donations from Soros's philanthropic juggernauts, including the Open Society Foundations, to subentities and political PACs.
Through a cluster of statewide public safety PACs, Soros donated more than a million dollars each to Krasner, Gascon, Foxx, and Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg (D.). He also donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Virginia prosecutors Buta Biberaj (D.) and Steve Descano (D.), both of whom have received scrutiny in office for failing to prosecute violent criminals and allowing repeat offenders to victimize others. In a New York Times op-ed last week, Descano also pledged not to prosecute illegal abortions if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade this month.
Virginia attorney general Jason Miyares (R.) told the Free Beacon the ascent of Soros prosecutors has changed criminal law in many jurisdictions overnight and made communities less safe.
"Instead of trying to change the law through elected officials, these groups are electing prosecutors who simply ignore it," Miyares said. "They've replaced DAs that follow the law with radical extremists with an agenda that makes our communities less safe and emboldens criminals."
The Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund cited a Free Beacon report in March that revealed Descano's office had dropped felony charges against a man who attempted to abduct and rape a hotel maid in 2020. One year later, the same man was charged for killing two homeless men and wounding three others during a nine-day shooting spree in New York City and Washington, D.C.
The looming threat to public safety has inspired recall efforts against Descano, Biberaj, and Soros-funded Arlington County commonwealth's attorney Parisa Dehghani-Tafti (D.) in Virginia.
"Soros prosecutors now preside over 20 percent of Americans with the same disastrous results we have seen in Virginia—violent criminals and sexual predators roam the streets victimizing innocents," Sean Kennedy, the president of Virginians for Safe Communities, which fielded a recall effort against the prosecutors, told the Free Beacon. "As San Francisco’s Chesa Boudin faces his fate in a recall today, VSC knows that Northern Virginia’s Soros prosecutors will face the same public reckoning soon as the American people want safety first."
Other prosecutors have participated in junkets, symposiums, and even lavish retreats put on by Soros-funded entities. More than 20 Soros prosecutors, including Gascon, Baltimore state's attorney Marilyn Mosby (D.), and St. Louis circuit attorney Kim Gardner (D.), traveled with Fair and Just Prosecution, a Tides Center subentity, in 2019 to Germany and Portugal, where they learned about "drug decriminalization and harm reduction approaches." The Vera Institute of Justice, a think tank that receives some government grants, treated Mosby and Foxx the same year to an all-expenses-paid spa retreat during work days.
The Vera Institute and other think tanks funded by Soros also promote these progressive prosecutors' tactics while shielding them from bad press. New York University's Brennan Center for Justice has the PR firm BerlinRosen on retainer for district attorneys it works with, according to the report.
The Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund anticipates Soros will spend millions more to reelect Gascon and to install other candidates in Raleigh, N.C., and Alameda County and Orange County, Calif., this year.
Voters in San Francisco issued the first check against Soros prosecutors during a recall election Tuesday, with 60 percent ousting San Francisco district attorney Chesa Boudin (D.) after a little more than two years in office.

Democrats are readying a massive $50 million effort of their own to shape the next 10 years of elections by flipping state legislative chambers in places as red as Texas and West Virginia next November.
The plan, backed by Democratic megadonors like Donald Sussman and the Soros family as well as small-dollar donors giving online via ActBlue, represents a sea change for the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, a former backwater in Democratic politics that has transformed as the party grappled with the importance of redistricting. In 2020, the last election before states redraw their political boundaries using new Census data, the winners of many state legislatures get the power to draw congressional lines that will last an entire decade.
Data that, thanks to Dem judges and Justice Roberts, will be fundamentally fraudulent.
In preparation, the DLCC has quadrupled its staff, partnered with a slew of other large Democratic groups including EMILY’s List and Barack Obama’s National Democratic Redistricting Committee, and planned to target as many as 14 states, according to plans shared first with POLITICO. The group will start by targeting one or more chambers in Arizona, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas, and potentially expand over the course of the election to target additional legislative chambers in Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Montana, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
The DLCC is chiefly targeting states where flipping just a handful of seats will give Democrats a seat at the governing table in 2021. Six target states are currently under full Republican control, with Democrats locked out of both the governorship and state legislative majorities. And the group is particularly interested in states where state lawmakers have absolute power over the congressional maps and the governor has little influence, like North Carolina.
Republicans have disclosed relatively few details about how they plan to win 2020’s pre-redistricting elections. Their central committee, the Republican State Leadership Committee — which helps elect lieutenant governors and other officeholders in addition to state legislators — recently announced it raised $19 million in 2019. The group has also recruited former House Speakers Paul Ryan, John Boehner and Newt Gingrich to help its efforts.

Soros-Linked Group Gets Six GOP Governors to Resettle More Refugees

A pro-mass immigration organization with links to billionaire George Soros has successfully lobbied six Republican governors to resettle more refugees in their states.
For Fiscal Year 2020, President Donald Trump will continue cutting refugee admissions by reducing former President Barack Obama’s refugee inflow by at least 80 percent. This reduction would mean a maximum of 18,000 refugees can be resettled in the U.S. between October 1, 2019, and September 30, 2020. This is merely a numerical limit and not a goal federal officials are supposed to reach.
Coupled with the refugee reduction, Trump signed an executive order that gives localities, counties, and states veto power over whether they want to resettle refugees in their communities.
Executives at World Relief and the Evangelical Immigration Table — an organization with links to the Soros-funded National Immigration Forum — have been lobbying governors across the country to bring more refugees to their states. So far, six Republican governors have signed off to resettle refugees in their states, including North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey.
The New York Times notes:
Jenny Yang, vice president for advocacy at World Relief, an evangelical agency whose work includes resettlement, has been steering an effort to lobby governors to keep their states open to refugees. [Emphasis added]
She said about 16 governors have submitted written consent, six of them Republicans. Gov. Doug Ducey, Republican of Arizona, agreed after receiving a letter supporting resettlement signed by 250 evangelical leaders. Gov. Greg Abbott, Republican of Texas, who leads the state that received the most refugees last year, has not yet offered his view, despite a plea from the mayor of Fort Worth to continue accepting refugees. Refugee contractors, like the Lutheran Social Services organization, have deployed a campaign to get mayors, local officials, and governors to admit more refugees to their states. Those contractors’ budgets every year are reliant on ensuring that as many refugees are resettled across the U.S. as possible.
It remains unclear which six Republican governors, aside from Burgum and Ducey, have been successfully lobbied by the Soros-linked group.
This week, the Evangelical Immigration Table sent letters to the governors of California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin to ask them to bring refugees to their states.
The federally mandated refugee resettlement program has brought more than 718,000 refugees to the U.S. since January 2008 — a group larger than the entire state population of Wyoming, which has 577,000 residents. In the last decade, about 73,000 refugees have been resettled in California, 71,500 resettled in Texas, nearly 43,000 resettled in New York, and more than 36,000 resettled in Michigan.
Refugee resettlement costs American taxpayers nearly $9 billion every five years, according to the latest research. Over the course of five years, an estimated 16 percent of all refugees admitted will need housing assistance paid for by taxpayers.

The venomous careers of Hitler and Stalin provoked the study of totalitarian regimes as the very epitome of evil, depriving their citizens of freedom and of life itself. A state captured by a demagogue is considered a sure sign of danger ahead -- hence the alleged justification by the Left for their hysteria over “rabble rouser” Donald Trump’s election. Overlooked until more recently are the unelected, bloated bureaucratic fiefdoms and regulatory encroachments of both national and global government and non-governmental institutions, which have created the opportunity for a sinister, large scale violation of political power.
This new abuse was foreshadowed in the career of FBI architect and director, the corrupt J. Edgar Hoover. It has been notched up to a planetary level of hyper-coordination by George Soros as preliminary to the installation of his global Open Society. In this grandiose plan, state governments (specifically the USA) will be reduced to the level of relay stations for a supranational, Sauron-like centralization of power.
What unites the totalitarian and the new tyrant are three personality characteristics, proposed by Professor John D. Mayer in his 1993 article, “The Emotional Madness of the Dangerous Leader.” The first is indifference. The tyrant is consumed by a single-minded, fanatical purpose and has no regard for the suffering wreaked on others during its implementation. The second is intolerance of those whose opinions differ, facilitated through control of the media, secret and insider knowledge, revenge against anyone who thwarts, and a paranoid mania to shut down all opposition. The third character trait (the foundation of the previous two), is psychopathic grandiosity. The power-abuser assumes a messianic pose of unifying society under a utopian plan and persuading others to participate. The very intensity of the tyrant’s narcissism is transferred to vulnerable supporters eliciting a narcotic rush of enthusiasm.
What is easily overlooked is that the sham scheme is not a political health remedy, but a device for maintaining the megalomaniac’s sense of personal omnipotence. In Soros’ own words, “Next to my fantasies about being God, I also have very strong fantasies of being mad. In fact, my grandfather was actually paranoid.” Soros seems disarming in his frankness. But delusions of grandeur preclude self-knowledge, as Soros’ next statements reveal. “I have a lot of madness in my family. So far I have escaped it.”
Soros has spilled bucketloads of words proclaiming he is “amoral,” “self-interested,” and that “normal rules do not apply” to him. “I am unnatural. I am a sort of deux ex machina. I’m very comfortable with my public persona, because it is the one I have created myself.” And this from the man who controls politicians and bureaucrats like a boss giving dictation to his secretary. This is the man who has perfected the subversion of governments, who has robbed failing states, and lavishly endowed every organization and movement destructive of traditional Western society, from abolishing the Electoral College to abolishing life itself if it is in utero, drug-addicted, or senile. His ambition is without borders -- “The Soviet Empire is now the Soros Empire.” “I’m the Pope’s boss now.” And so on, ad nauseum. Yet, like other tyrants, he is untouchable. Those he has made richer and more powerful protect him.
In March 1933 the Germans voted. They could have voted for the moderate Center Christian party. Instead they voted in Hitler. ‘Deplorable’ Americans however confounded Soros by not voting for “What can we do for you, George?” Hillary Clinton. Yet where are the congressional and Senate investigations into Soros? Where is the RICO indictment? Governments have been bought. The media has been bought. The Soros NGO empire operates an invasive, parasitic web currently devouring the body politic of the USA and many other nations besides.
What Trump’s election has revealed is the limitation of the Presidency in withstanding the transfer of power to unelected, publicly unaccountable bureaucrats, and venal politicians, more concerned with their benefices than their constituents. That void has allowed Soros to install himself as de facto puppet-master. We require bureaucracy, and we cannot prevent the existence of associations, but there is an urgent need for reform by abolishing permanency in government and establishing citizens’ tribunals of appeal against abuses of administrative power.
Recently in an interview on his simpering NPR, Soros confessed he was unprepared for the populist opposition to his insurrectionary agenda. Let us continue our opposition. Let us demand Soros be investigated and brought to justice as conditional for obtaining our vote. Those with connection to him must be banned from public office, and his assets frozen. Then his parasitical minions will shrivel, like leeches desiccated by a pinch of salt. If not, although we may escape the mass slaughter of the twentieth century, it will be at the cost of vassalage beneath a tyrant like George Soros.

Left-wing billionaire and Democrat donor George Soros has reportedly fueled Democrats with $125 million through a super PAC heading into the November midterms.
Dubbed as a “long-term investment,” the money is one of the largest political donations in recent years, Politico reported, noting political donations of nine figures are exceedingly rare.
The donation will also likely be one of the largest political donations heading into the midterms.
Soros told the publication the “Democracy PAC” will be allocated to “causes and candidates” to strengthen the “infrastructure of American democracy: voting rights and civic participation, civil rights and liberties, and the rule of law.”
Soros, 91, will concede leadership of the PAC and allow his son Alexander Soros to serve as president.
Alexander Soros told Politico the PAC will be used as a weapon against those who “discredit and undermine our electoral process,” citing the “generational threat that cannot be addressed in just one or two election cycles.”
Reports indicate the “Democracy PAC” has already donated large sums to congressional PACs.
Reportedly, $2.5 million has been donated to Sen. Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) Senate Majority PAC, $1 million to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) House Majority PAC, and $1 million also donated to the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State.

Soros is well-known for contributing great sums of money nationwide to local prosecutors to alter the criminal justice system in the name of “criminal justice reform.” Breitbart News reported:
The rise of these Soros-backed prosecutors has coincided with a massive surge in murder and crime in many Democrat-run cities, including many where these prosecutors have implemented radical policies toward policing and incarceration.
Most recently, for example, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón has faced criticism for his radical reforms in the year since he took office, while murders soared. “The city last year experienced 397 murders, up 11.8 percent from the 355 the previous year, and a 53.9 percent increase from the 258 in the pre-pandemic year of 2019,” Los Angeles magazine noted.

“We’ve all seen these horrible images coming from our southern border … Images of Haitian migrants being hit with whips and other forms of physical violence is completely unacceptable,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a September 21 floor speech — just one day after he insisted that employers need more migrants.
“The images turn your stomach — it must be stopped, this kind of violence,” he continued, just before demanding the anti-epidemic 2020 Title 42 border rules be lifted to let migrants enter the United States:
So I urge President [Joe] Biden and Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas to immediately put a stop to these expulsions, and to end this Title 42 policy at our southern border. We cannot continue these hateful and xenophobic Trump policies that disregard our refugee laws. We must allow asylum seekers to present their claims at our ports of entry, and be afforded due process [in the United States]… the horrible treatment of these innocent people who have come to the border must stop immediately.
According to NBC News:
The Department of Homeland Security document also said the DHS Office of Professional Responsibility, the agency’s internal watchdog, is investigating an incident in which a Border Patrol agent on horseback in Del Rio, Texas, grabbed a Haitian migrant by the shirt.
Many of the Haitian migrants have trekked up from the Darian Gap jungle in Panama, where many migrants are killed or raped by bandits.
In 2021, almost one million migrants have been turned away at the border by the Title 42 rules established by President Donald Trump in 2020. Without the rule, Biden’s deputies would have likely allowed them into the United States, where they would have pressured down wages, pushed up rent, and crowded the K-12 schools needed by the children of blue-collar Americans.
Nonetheless, Biden’s deputies are expected to allow roughly two million migrants — including many of the Haitian border crossers — into the United States in 2021. The inflow will deliver one migrant for every two Americans born during the year.
The videos are “deeply troubling, including the inappropriate use of what appear to be whips by Border Patrol officers on horseback to intimidate migrants,” said a September 30 statement by House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi. “Any acts of aggression or violence cannot be tolerated and must be investigated.”

“What I saw depicted about those individuals on horseback treating human beings the way they were, was horrible,” Vice President Kamala Harris said Tuesday.
“If [border agents] cannot physically detain or deter illegal aliens, you are ceding the immigration laws to the individual illegal alien,” countered Robert Law, the director of regulatory affairs and policy for the Center for Immigration Studies.
By denouncing border officers’ routine enforcement of the nation’s popular border curbs, “you’re turning Border Patrol agents into the equivalent of Walmart greeters, or as tourist guides directing the illegal aliens on their way into the interior of the country.” he told Breitbart News.
The horse controversy is intended to distract the public from the obvious chaos caused by Biden’s loose border policies, Law said:
The entire thing is completely manufactured and it’s orchestrated … [by] this perverse coalition of anti-borders left and cheap-labor right who all work off at the same talking points and they go on the same cable shows, and they get written about the same media outlets, and they repeat the same lie over and over and over and over again.
The pro-migration progressives are eager to lash the U.S. border officers, Law said, even as they also cover up the deaths, rapes, and harms caused to the migrants during their long treks to the side-doors that leftists are opening at the U.S. border:
They would rather criticize the hardworking, patriotic career Border Patrol agents than ever say something negative about the cartels and the coyotes who are involved in this very dangerous and very cruel, [migrant-]smuggling operation … Those [border agents] are being portrayed today as the villain, not the cartels and the coyotes who are smuggling these people for exorbitant fees, and are using them as a distraction mechanism to flood our country with drugs that are killing many thousands Americans.
The Democratic politicians’ statements match the language and demands pushed by Mark Zuckerberg’s FWD.us advocacy group for West Coast investors. The group is pushing for greater immigration of migrant consumers, workers, and renters.
“The horrible treatment of Haitians and other predominantly Black people seeking asylum—including the awful violence inflicted upon them by Federal agents … is an urgent failure that demands immediate action,” said a September 20 statement FWD.us. The statement continued:
Title 42 was wrong in 2020. It is wrong today in 2021—and it is wrong for the Biden administration to appeal the decision declaring Title 42 last week and use this as a pretext for ramping up deportation flights of thousands of Haitians seeking asylum.
Zuckerberg’s FWD.us is funding many pro-migration and pro-amnesty groups around the United States. It is also playing the leading role in pushing the Senate to include multiple amnesties in the pending $3.5 trillion budget bill. That plan was damaged September 19 when the Senate’s debate referee, the parliamentarian, ruled that the amnesties cannot be included in a budget bill.
The FWD.us membership of West Coast investors is pushing for the amnesty because they stand to gain from more cheap labor, government-aided consumers, and room-sharing renters. The network has funded many astroturf campaigns, urged Democrats not to talk about the economic impact of migration, and manipulated and steered coverage by the TV networks and the print media.
The establishment’s media is protecting Biden because his border policies make the establishment look bad, said Law.
They are using the border enforcement videos “to help shift the narrative,” from the chaotic Haitian landing, he said. “You cannot distinguish the talking points of a liberal politician or a cheap labor business guy on cable news from what you see in a lot of [journalists’] print articles … They’re all on the same team.”
Many polls show that labor migration is deeply unpopular because it damages ordinary Americans’ career opportunities, cuts their wages, and raises their rents. Migration also curbs their productivity, shrinks their political clout, widens regional wealth gaps, and wrecks their democratic, compromise-promoting civic culture.
For many years, a wide variety of pollsters have shown deep and broad opposition to labor migration and the inflow of temporary contract workers into jobs sought by young U.S. graduates. This pocketbook opposition is multiracial, cross-sex, non-racist, class-based, bipartisan, rational, persistent, and recognizes the solidarity Americans owe to each other.

A number of open borders organizations linked to billionaire George Soros deployed activists across Washington, DC, on Tuesday, demanding “citizenship for all” illegal aliens living in the United States.
Days ago, Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough ruled that a massive amnesty plan for illegal aliens could not be slipped into Senate Democrats’ $3.5 trillion filibuster-proof budget reconciliation package.
In response, open borders groups like CASA de Maryland, Make the Road NY, United We Dream, United Farm Workers, the SEIU, and the Center for Popular Democracy sent activists out across Washington, DC to demand Congress include amnesty in a budget package regardless of MacDonough’s ruling.
CASA de Maryland, United We Dream, and the Center for Popular Democracy, as Breitbart News has reported in the past, have been financially linked to Soros’ Open Society Foundation for years.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) along with Sens. Alex Padilla (D-CA) and Bob Menendez (D-NJ) spoke at a rally alongside Center for Popular Democracy activists. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) also spoke at the rally.
“Last night’s ruling was extremely disappointing,” Schumer said Monday of the MacDonough’s decision. “It saddened me, it frustrated me, it angered me because so many lives are at stake … Senate Democrats have prepared alternative proposals.”
“During covid, immigrants — documented and undocumented — risked their lives to help others and we are so proud of them and they are so much part of America,” Schumer said.
For months, Democrats had hoped to slip an amnesty for illegal aliens enrolled and eligible for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, those employed on United States farms, those with Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and those deemed “essential workers” into their budget reconciliation package.
In August, a budget resolution framework put forth by Democrats revealed the amnesty would cost American taxpayers at least $107 billion.
After MacDonough’s ruling this week, Menendez revealed that Senate Democrats are planning a different style of amnesty — one that would give green cards, and eventually naturalized American citizenship, to any illegal alien who claims to have lived in the U.S. before January 1, 2010.
Menendez said Senate Democrats will soon make the argument to MacDonough for the amnesty’s inclusion in the budget reconciliation package so that it will only need majority support.
Today, anywhere from 11 to 22 million illegal aliens live in the U.S.

Soros Nonprofit President Departs, Fueling Speculation About a Biden Appointment

The president of George Soros's vast nonprofit network is leaving his position to potentially join President-elect Joe Biden's administration, according to reports.
Patrick Gaspard is stepping down as president of Soros's Open Society Foundation, Axios reported Friday. The move has fueled speculation that Gaspard may be Biden's pick for Labor secretary.
"I write to share with you that I will leave Open Society at the end of the year," Gaspard wrote to people within the organization. "After four profound years of service to this extraordinary institution, and at a critical juncture for the democracy that is my home, I am compelled to charge once more unto the breech in a new political moment."
Soros, who poured a personal record of $70 million into the 2020 elections, has loomed large over the transition. The Washington Free Beacon reported that a number of individuals in Soros's network received seats on Biden's transition team.
Sarah Cross, an advocacy director at Soros's Open Society Foundations, is on Biden's State Department team. Michael Penn, a special adviser in the executive office of the Open Society Foundations, is on the United Nations team. Diane Thompson, a Leadership in Government Fellow at the Open Society Foundations, was tapped for Biden's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau transition team.

Soros-Funded Group Vows to Turn Out 6M Hispanic Voters to Defeat Trump

An open borders lobbying group, funded partially by billionaire George Soros, is vowing to defeat President Trump by turning out to vote about six million young and disenfranchised Hispanic Americans.
United We Dream activists said during a press call this week that they are “powering up” their members to turn out millions of new Hispanic American voters to tank Trump’s reelection campaign.
The group has long advocated for an amnesty for all 11 to 22 million illegal aliens and, specifically, the nearly 800,000 illegal aliens enrolled in former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
Soros’ Open Society Foundations has been a donor to United We Dream since at least 2015.
“We know that in order to defend immigrants, protect DACA and defend our democracy, that Trump must be defeated this November,” United We Dream Executive Director Cristina Jiménez said, according to NBC News.
Jiménez said United We Dream is targeting about 2.5 million mostly Hispanic Americans who are the family members of DACA illegal aliens.
A whole swath of leftist organizations is involved in the get-out-the-vote effort, including the SEIU, the Sunrise Movement, the Soros-funded Center for Popular Democracy, the Youth Alliance, and LUCHA Arizona.
United We Dream is also trying to get in on the current Black Lives Matter movement’s “Defund the police” campaign. The groups have long claimed that arresting and deporting illegal aliens “are rooted in white supremacy and systemic racism.”

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) sounded the alarm over vote-by-mail and the danger it poses to election integrity during a Friday appearance on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily.
Patrick drew a distinction between voting absentee, as has been done for years, and using coronavirus as an excuse to push voting through the mail as the preferred method to casting a ballot in person.
“In my view, the only way Trump loses in November, is if you have a proliferation of voting by mail in state after state, particularly the swing states,” Patrick said in a clip played during the show, adding that Trump’s campaign team is “on top of it.”
“We have to fight this at all costs,” Patrick told host Alex Marlow, saying the vulnerability could give Democrats advantages in states like Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
Patrick said he rejects the premise that voting by mail would be “safer” during the coronavirus pandemic and believes many Republicans fall into that rhetorical trap.
“Voting is not about being easier, it is about being fair and accessible. To have enough polling places, to have enough time,” he said, and noted Texas has two weeks of early voting.
“It’s part of who we are as America to show up and vote,” Patrick told Marlow.
He said once voting in person is removed, “it is absolute pandemonium. It’s wide open for fraud, and the left will take advantage of that and they will steal every election until the end of time.”
Patrick noted the life circumstances change for many Americans between elections. They move or die; some get divorced.
“What stops you from voting for” the person who used to live at your address if a ballot is mailed to them, he wondered.
The shenanigans that go on “can tip the scales to those who would steal elections so it has to be stopped,” Patrick said.
The lieutenant governor cited the recent appearance of Greater New York Black Lives Matter President Hawk Newsome on Fox News, who said, “if this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it.”
“If they’re willing to burn the country down, tear a statue down, you don’t think they’re going to go steal some ballots out of a mailbox?” Patrick said.
He added that if Americans have been to restaurants, gone out in public, or protested, that should be a sufficient test to be able to vote in person.
Patrick asserted that counties and cities used money sent by the federal government for coronavirus relief to advance vote-by-mail, and argued that is where the priorities of Democrat-run cities lie.
The situation was similar in the swing state of Michigan, where Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson used $4.5 million of CARES Act funds to send absentee ballot applications to all registered voters, causing chaos for local clerks who normally handle that duty.
Former Michigan Secretary of State and current state Sen. Ruth Johnson (R-Holly) found applications were mailed to hundreds of residents ineligible to vote, including non-citizen, underage, and deceased “voters.”
