JOE BIDEN - WAR! WAR! WAR! ENDLESS WAR BUT NO DEFENSE OF AMERICA'S BORDER WITH NARCOMEX DRUG CARTELS - Biden on “60 Minutes”: American capitalism is at war with the world, at war with reality

As in 2016, Democrats advance a corrupt ruling-class candidate. Like the dead man Gary Ernst, Democrats want people to vote for Joe Biden so they can swap him out for Kamala Harris, already a beneficiary of voter fraud and with the exception of Xavier Becerra possibly the worst attorney general in California history.

Biden on “60 Minutes”: American capitalism is at war with the world, at war with reality

On Sunday evening, CBS aired an episode of “60 Minutes,” featuring an extended interview by Scott Pelley with US President Joe Biden.

In the space of 25 minutes, Biden made a series of extraordinary statements. He declared that the COVID-19 pandemic was “over”; announced his “ironclad commitment” to backing war against Russia, while acknowledging this contained the possibility of nuclear war; and pledged US forces to a possible war with China.

It has been over 200 days since Biden last sat down for an interview with a television journalist. Much has changed. The US and NATO provoked war with Russia in Ukraine and have escalated the conflict with massive tranches of military aid and direct involvement, overseeing and planning the movement of troops and the targeting of missiles. The eastern and southern portions of Ukraine invaded by Russia have become the concentrated site of an expanding third world war.

Mass inflation has gripped the globe. The prices of basic necessities have soared beyond the reach of the working class. Workers in Europe face the prospect of a freezing winter, unable to afford heat; workers in the United States struggle to pay rent. The stock market is turbulent, and its future looks grim. Most significantly, the struggles of the working class against capitalism are coming into the open, are growing rapidly and are taking an increasingly political form.

American capitalism is at war with reality, and nowhere is this more openly embodied than in its President Joe Biden. He acknowledged the gravity of the situation declaring, “This is a really difficult time. We’re at an inflection point in the history of this country.” At the same time, and without any justification, Biden announced, “I’m more optimistic than I’ve been in a long time.”

The American ruling class’s delusions and its grotesque indifference to the lives of workers was summed up in Biden’s statement on the pandemic. One million Americans had died. Biden pulled a long face at this but declared, “The pandemic is over ... the pandemic is over. If you notice, no one’s wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape.”

The 1 million COVID-19 deaths in the United States were, in their overwhelming majority, preventable. Biden, like his predecessor Trump, would take none of the necessary public health measures to isolate the virus and prevent its spread. Such measures threatened the profits of American businesses. America led the ruling classes of the world in embracing the pandemic and accepting mass death.

Now, as 3,000 Americans die of COVID-19 every week, Biden declares the pandemic is over. He celebrates the fact, the direct result of his own criminal policies, that people are not wearing masks. The death and infection rate data can no longer be considered reliable. The dead and infected, those suffering the terrible consequences of Long COVID, are being shoved into the ranks of the countless uncounted, and the pandemic declared to be at an end.

Biden’s statement, “Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape,” erases the experience of millions of people with Long COVID. According to a recent report from the Brookings Institution, roughly 4 million people suffering from Long COVID have left the workforce.

The extraordinary statement that “the pandemic is over”—which can be compared to George W. Bush’s infamous “mission accomplished” speech in the initial phases of the Iraq war—also ignores the ongoing and persistent danger of viral evolution. Recent studies indicate that new, highly mutated variants of COVID-19 appear almost every week, with increasing immune-escape potential.

The American ruling class is inured to mass death. They have learned, with alarming speed, that widespread preventable death is something with which they are prepared to live. This sharpens the teeth of their militarist threats and brinkmanship.

Biden’s paramount concern in the interview was to make clear his unwavering determination to wage war. He announced Washington’s “ironclad commitment” to take the war against Russia “as far as it takes.” The goal, which he termed “winning in Ukraine,” was “to get Russia out of Ukraine completely.”

This formulation implies a commitment by the United States to arming the Ukrainians and orchestrating the conduct of the conflict until Russian forces are removed not only from eastern and southern Ukraine, but also from Crimea. The Crimean Peninsula is claimed by both Kiev and Moscow and is a critical military position for Russia, securing as it does access to the Black Sea.

Pelley pointed out that Putin was being “pushed into a corner” and asked Biden what the American president would say if Putin considered “using chemical or tactical nuclear weapons.” Biden responded, “Don’t. Don’t. Don’t. You will change the face of war unlike anything since World War II.”

Washington’s entire geopolitical strategy is one of unrelenting recklessness. Biden told Putin before the entire world that he was committing the US to the defeat of Russian forces in Ukraine, recognizing that this pushed him into a corner. The use of nuclear weapons is being openly discussed as a real possibility, and yet Washington refuses to take a single step backwards.

Not content to wage world war in a single theater, Biden turned his attention to China, and here too his statements were of unmitigated recklessness. Taiwan, he declared, would “make their own judgments about their independence ... that’s their decision.” This statement directly calls into question what has been a mainstay of global stability for nearly a half-century: the One China policy.

By declaring Taiwanese sovereign independence to be a matter for Taiwan itself to decide, Biden threw out the principle that Taiwan is part of China. The statement is an open and deliberate encouragement of pro-independence forces in Taiwan. Beijing has been clear for decades that the One China policy, more than almost anything else, is a red line that cannot be crossed without severe consequences. Attempts to secure Taiwanese independence would be met, it has declared, with forcible reunification.

The war-mongering continued. In what may be the most rash statement of the entire interview, Biden declared that US forces would defend Taiwan against an attack by China. Pelley followed up with the question, “US forces, men and women, would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion?” “Yes,” Biden coldly replied.

Gone is any claim to strategic ambiguity—the idea that by not declaring if US forces would defend Taiwan they left both pro-independence elements in Taiwan and pro-reunification forces in Beijing uncertain of what Washington would do in the event of conflict. Biden pledged that the US will go to war with China.

Afterwards, the White House issued a statement that US policy had not changed and that the United States still holds a position of strategic ambiguity. This is a pattern of the Biden administration, using the president’s tendency to “gaffe” as an excuse to deliberately state and then claim to retract the most provocative possible statements.

The only thing that Biden presented as an unacceptable calamity was when he spoke not about perpetual mass infection or the possibility of nuclear annihilation, but when he addressed the possibility of a railway strike, which he claimed to have narrowly averted. “If in fact they’d gone on strike,” he stated, “the supply chains in this country would have come to a screeching halt, and we would’ve seen a real economic crisis.”

This crisis for the ruling class—the growing upsurge of working class militancy—has not been averted. Despite the aid of the unions, who jumped to assist the president in shutting down the strike, holding extended negotiations in the White House to broker a sellout deal, Biden has not reached a settlement that will in any way address the demands of the railway workers. Workers are furious and are determined to fight.

When it came to the soaring cost of goods, a driving factor in the class struggle, Biden brushed it off. “We’re going to get control of inflation,” he pledged—without explaining that the main way the ruling class is seeking to “control” inflation is by instigating a recession and driving up unemployment in order to undercut workers’ demands for higher wages.

Biden articulates the crisis-driven desperation of the American ruling class—at war with Russia, at war with China, at war with the working class, at war with reality.

It does not speak well for either the president or American capitalism that the question, posed in the interview, of his mental fitness has now become obligatory.

Washington will not prevent mass death, nor will it step back from nuclear war; US capitalism is driven to these ends by crises from which it cannot escape.

The policies and strategies of Washington are insane—in the most real meaning of the word—but it is an intelligible madness, an insanity with objective causes. Capitalism has nothing to offer humanity but war and poverty and death. It has no solution to the pandemic but to deny its existence, no solution to war but escalation.

Law Professor Jonathan Turley: If Transporting Migrants Is Illegal, ‘Biden Would Be the Biggest Coyote Ever’

(CNSNews.com) – The Biden administration cannot charge the governors of Texas or Florida with a federal crime because the migrants that were sent to Democrat-run cities gave their consent for transport, George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley said Monday.

“I don't see a case, unless they can establish some systemic coercion or fraud, there’s really not a federal crime here. They can find individual cases that might be somehow actionable, but what the state has said is that they have express consent for these flights,” he told Fox News’ “America Reports.”

“There are rational reasons why someone would want to leave the border area, which has been, it just has this influx of undocumented migrants and go to areas that might have better employment possibilities or better levels of support, and you know, what they are arguing here is that this is an illegal transport of migrants,” Turley said.

“If that was the case, then Joe Biden would be the biggest coyote ever. Right? I mean he's transferring thousands of people across the country, also public interest organizations transfer migrants. All of them are saying, as they need to, and need to establish, that this is done with their consent, but there are rational reasons why migrants would want to go to New York or Chicago and away from these border areas,” he said.

What’s more, there’s no case for human trafficking, because no one was exploited for sex or labor, Turley said.

“Human trafficking is usually transferring or transporting someone for the purposes of exploiting them for sex or labor. That's not thankfully being alleged here with Governor DeSantis. Transportation of individuals occur all the time in the federal government. Governor Newsom has himself when he was mayor, I believe, transferred homeless people to other states,” he said.

“Was he kidnapping them? Was that human trafficking? The answer is no. They were vulnerable, but they're allowed to make the consensual choice. Once the migrants are released by the federal government into the country, they have the right to go anywhere they want, and therefore, groups like public interest groups or states can assist them with their consent,” Turley added.

“What's really concerning for me is that this is not literally human trafficking. That is literally nonsense, and we do have some obligation to tell the public what the law is. This was a political -- some people can call it political stunt, but the federal code does not make political irony a crime. You’re going to have to deal with it as a political matter, not as a criminal matter,” he said.

“They’re just going berserk,” Krikorian told Breitbart News:

They’re behaving like children. It’s ridiculous. Martha’s Vineyard has something like four times the median income as South Texas. So they can’t deal with any illegal aliens? Martha’s Vineyard Residents Begged for Mass Immigration Until Migrant Flights Arrived: ‘They Have to Move’

Business owners on Martha’s Vineyard have spent years begging for more mass immigration to the United States in the hopes of filling summer jobs with foreign workers.

When 50 illegal aliens were flown onto the elite coastal island, home to the nation’s wealthiest and most well-connected, officials declared a “humanitarian crisis” and Gov. Charlie Baker (R) swiftly deported the new arrivals to a military base on Cape Cod.

The reaction to just 0.001 percent of the nation’s border crisis arriving on the doorsteps of Martha’s Vineyard residents comes after business owners spent years pleading with the federal government to import more foreign workers so they could fill jobs.

“At some point in time, they have to move from here to somewhere else. We don’t have the services to take care of 50 immigrants,” an official said when the illegal aliens arrived. “We certainly don’t have housing. We’re in a housing crisis as we are on this island, so we can’t house everyone here that lives here and works here. We don’t have housing for 50 more people.”

In September 2018, a Martha’s Vineyard business owner complained to the New York Times that he lost out on Jamaican workers and had to scrub toilets himself:

This summer, he has found himself on his hands and knees scrubbing toilets and tubs at Edgartown Commons, a hotel he manages on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. Five Jamaican workers who had long worked at the property failed to get H2-B seasonal-work visas.

“I’m 65 years old, but you got to do what you got to do,” he said. “We did hire contract workers, but it’s never going to be as good as people with years of experience.”

In August 2017, a Martha’s Vineyard owner admitted to the Wall Street Journal that he prefers to hire foreign workers over local high school students:

Mike McCourt, the manager at Murdick’s, says he knows this is against the rules but “it’s just kind of the nature of the game here on the island. I can’t really defend myself other than it really does fill a need.”

He says he prefers H-2B workers to college students, who go back to school before the summer season is out, and to high-school students, who he says don’t work as hard. American teenagers, he says, “know you need them more than they need you.”

The Washington Post ran a similar story in August 2016 proclaiming that it is foreign workers, not Americans, who are the engine behind the economy in Martha’s Vineyard:

On Martha’s Vineyard, they make the beds, stir fudge and wash the dishes. “It’s the work Americans don’t want,” [21-year-old Romanian visa worker Timofti] Flaviu says. “We’ll do the lifting, take the overtime work — anything to make the trip worth it.” It’s a common take among the students here. And privately, many local employers agree: “We certainly don’t see our countrymen doing so much overtime,” said one.

In May 2018, Martha’s Vineyard business owners said they needed more foreign workers to fill summer jobs that were open and unfilled:

“It’s a crisis,” [retail store owner] Ms. Tiernan said. “I’ve had to work full-time on the floor, along with our two other owners, to keep the store open.”

Vineyard businesses, like Ms. Tiernan’s, depend on foreign seasonal workers to staff their shops during the busy summer months. These workers come to the Vineyard on either J-1 student visas, which the United States issues to non-immigrant students to promote cultural exchange, or H-2B visas. The H-2B visas are part of a non-immigrant program that permits American employers to temporarily hire foreign workers.

Other business owners on the island said the same a few months earlier, telling the Vineyard Gazette:

“I’ve never encountered this,” said Rob Hurst, general manager of Edgartown Commons, a 35-unit efficiency hotel that employs 10 to 11 people each summer. Five are housekeepers who typically work under an H-2B visa. This year, the hotel received no approvals for those visas, leaving Mr. Hurst scrambling to find workers as the busy season approaches.

“We’ll need a different plan. Otherwise, we can’t service our guests, and we would not be able to open,” he said.

Rather than give the illegal aliens jobs, some officials said the island could not house the new arrivals and did not have the infrastructure. A Breitbart News analysis, though, shows that Martha’s Vineyard could house up to six million border crossers and illegal aliens.

Martha’s Vineyard could see an influx in illegal immigration, and thus foreign workers, if Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) follows through on a promise to fly more illegal aliens to the island.

Martha’s Vineyard residents are claiming that a “housing crisis” prevents them from properly housing illegal aliens on the elite coastal island. At the same time, tons of sprawling summer estates, owned by the wealthy, sit empty and are readily available as makeshift shelters.

Late last week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) sent two planes full of 50 illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard where former President Obama owns a $12 million estate with 29 acres, seven bedrooms, and more than seven bathrooms.

Officials on Martha’s Vineyard quickly declared a “humanitarian crisis” in response to the new arrivals, and they were deported in less than 48 hours to Joint Base Cape Cod.

A Breitbart News analysis found that the island could house up to six million border crossers and illegal aliens if necessary. Residents, though, told Fox News that Martha’s Vineyard is experiencing a “housing crisis” that prevents them from housing illegal aliens:

“There’s no place to live here,” she said. “Housing is bad.” [Emphasis added]

“We have a major housing crisis as it is,” echoed Rachel Hines, who works for the nonprofit Vineyard Preservation Trust. [Emphasis added]

Airbnb and Vrbo listings show there are tons of empty summer homes on Martha’s Vineyard today as wealthy residents rent out their properties to the highest bidders in the non-summer months.

On Vrbo, one such property rents for over $1,600 a night and can sleep up to 15 guests. Another boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms and can sleep up to 10 guests, renting at nearly $1,700 a night.

A property known as the “Carousel House,” featured in the New York Times, can sleep up to 10 guests as well and rents for $1,375 a night. One property sits on the oceanfront and can sleep 10 guests, renting for about $2,800 a night.

On Airbnb, there are rentals all across Martha’s Vineyard. One property rents for $2,000 a night at the moment and can sleep up to 10 guests. Another listed property sleeps up to 15 guests and is known as the “Luxurious Captain’s Mansion” for its colonial-era architecture and waterfront views.

To house the 50 illegal alien arrivals, residents only needed to open just five Martha’s Vineyard homes so long as each could sleep 10 guests. To Breitbart News’s knowledge, no residents opened their homes to the arrivals.

The Obamas tackle climate change and wealth inequality

By John Eidson

In a remarkable commitment to their tireless fight against climate change and wealth inequality, Barack and Michelle Obama reportedly are purchasing a magnificent $15-million oceanfront mansion in Martha’s Vineyard, presumably as a much-needed retreat to supplement the $9-million mansion they already own in one of the most exclusive areas of the nation’s capitol.

A fierce opponent of fossil fuels and wealth inequality, the former president has harshly criticized rich people for the oversized, carbon-gluttonous houses they buy.  On April 25, 2010, the president who would become fabulously wealthy in retirement scolded Wall Street CEOs with this admonition:

I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money.

His views about the sin of making too much money haven’t changed.  During a speech last year in South Africa, this shining example of environmental stewardship and unparalleled concern for the poor spoke passionately about the unfairness of some people having more money than others in blasting rich people for their excessively lavish lifestyles:

There’s only so much you can eat; there’s only so big a house you can have; there’s only so many nice trips you can take. I mean, it’s enough.

That direct quote came from the lips of a man who, along with his wife, is sitting atop a nest egg estimated at a meager $135 million.  But don’t feel sorry for them, because there’s much more to come: with money barreling their way like a runaway train, the concerned couple is rapidly becoming a billion-dollar brand.

Sharing with the less fortunate: During the five years from 2000-2004, a period when they earned $1.2  million, Barack and Michelle Obama donated less than one percent of their income to charity, ten times less than the tithing guidelines of their professed Christian faith.  Only when Obama decided to run for president did the couple’s charitable instincts improve.

Protecting the planet: During his first full day in the White House, President Obama was photographed without his suit jacket.  Senior advisor David Axelrod explained: “He’s from Hawaii, okay?  He likes it warm.  You could grow orchids in there.”  While campaigning, Obama vowed to exhibit environmental leadership if elected: “We can’t drive our SUV’s and eat as much as we want and keep our thermostats set at 72 degrees.  That’s not leadership.  That’s not going to happen [with me].”

In decreeing that rich people make too much money and that global warming is an imminent threat to our very survival, this ultra-wealthy man and his ultra-wealthy wife decided to indulge themselves in another opulent mansion, this one sitting on 29 oceanfront acres on one of the most exclusive islands in the world.  While homeless people are sleeping on the streets and our planet is being destroyed by CO2, the Obamas are living large, a pitifully small reward for two remarkable people who bend over backwards to show leadership in the fight against climate change and wealth inequality.

Nolte: Michelle Obama Condemns ‘White Flight’ After Purchasing Home in Martha’s Vineyard

Gerardo Mora/Getty Images

JOHN NOLTE

Former first lady Michelle Obama condemned white people for fleeing minority neighborhoods just weeks after she and her husband purchased a $15 million estate in Martha’s Vineyard.

Martha’s Vineyard is 95 percent white and just two percent black.

Martha’s Vineyard is almost as white as an Elizabeth Warren rally.

Martha’s Vineyard is whiter than my subdivision here in rural North Carolina.

Martha’s Vineyard is whiter than MSNBC.

During a Tuesday appearance at the Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago, she said, “But unbeknownst to us, we grew up in the period — as I write — called ‘white flight.’ That as families like ours, upstanding families like ours … As we moved in, white folks moved out because they were afraid of what our families represented.”

“And I always stop there when I talk about this out in the world because, you know, I want to remind white folks that y’all were running from us.” She went on, “This family with all the values that you’ve read about. You were running from us. And you’re still running, because we’re no different than the immigrant families that are moving in … the families that are coming from other places to try to do better.”

Did I mention that Michelle and Barry just purchased a $15 million estate in Martha’s Vineyard, which is 95 percent white?

Oh, and did I mention the Obamas own a second home, an $8 million mansion, in the exclusive DC neighborhood of Kalorama, which is 80 percent white and just four percent black.

Oh, and did I mention the Obamas have a third home, a $5.3 million mansion, in Rancho Mirage, California, which is 89 percent white and just 2.6 percent black.

Oh, sure, the Obamas still own their Chicago home in Hyde Park, which is at least 26 percent black. But you would think they could do better than 26 percent!

I like Michelle Obama. I have always liked Michelle Obama. I’ve never said an unkind word about her, quite the opposite, and while I find her politics ignorant, she was a terrific first lady.

But this is nuts…

Not only is she attacking white people for seeking a better standard of living, which I can assure you (as I will explain below) has little to do with racism, she is also attacking whites after she herself “fled” to 95 percent white Martha’s Vineyard (I will never stop repeating this point) and two other homes in areas where the black population is less than 5 percent.

Worse still, she is putting white people in a position where they can never win, where they are damned if they do or don’t, where they are always and forever racist.

If white people move out of a black neighborhood, they’re racists engaging in white flight.

But…

And this is important…

If white people move into a minority neighborhood, they are also racists for either engaging in gentrification — which is just another form of cultural genocide, donchaknow — or cultural appropriation.

Now I’m going to tell you a little something about white flight, from my own  experience…

Because I was poor, back in the mid-eighties, I lived in the inner-city of Milwaukee for two years. My wife and I did not flee (my wife is not white, by the way) because of “icky minorities” (did I mention my wife is not white?), we fled because it was not safe to live there. It was never safe. Over those two years, we had been mugged, robbed, and had our car stolen. That’s why we left.

And when we fled, it was to a community that was still not as white as *ahem* Martha’s Vineyard.

In 2002, my wife and I moved to California for nine years and lived in an East Los Angeles neighborhood that was just four percent white. For nearly a decade, I was outnumbered 96-4 and never gave it a thought because I was not outnumbered. A darker skin tone, an accent, and different religious traditions did not make my neighbors any less American than me, and when I am among Americans I am among my own. We left because predominantly white leftists are destroying California.

Then there’s my poor dad…

He moved to the Northside of Milwaukee in 1980, and spent decades, a lot of money, and a ton of sweat, remodeling his home, building a garage, and paying that home off. He intended to retire there. And yes, there were black people in his neighborhood when he moved in, and for most of his adult life he worked in predominantly black institutions. He never intended to move, and held on for as long as he could… He didn’t flee because of black people. He was not forced to start all over at age 67 because he suddenly decided he didn’t like blacks. He left because he was robbed, because gangs started tagging his house and garage, because it was no longer safe to live there.

You know…

If we’re going to shame people for such things, what does it say to black people when other black people, especially the first black president and his family, reject them? What the hell kind of message is this to send to black Americans, especially when the Obamas can afford the security to live safely in any neighborhood they choose?

And if the Obamas wanted to live in Southern California, why choose Rancho Mirage over Ladera Heights, the Black Beverly Hills, a predominantly black neighborhood as swank as any in America?

Shame on Michelle and Barack Obama. They have the money and profile to make an important statement on this issue, but they obviously prefer to live in overwhelmingly white neighborhoods.

Martha’s Vineyard Liberals Scream 'Not in my Backyard!'

Who knew that residents of woke and progressive Martha’s Vineyard were racist, white supremacist, xenophobes?

Former President Barack Obama owns a $12 million estate on this racist island off the coast of Massachusetts. Are the Obamas racists?

Other liberal celebrities either live or frequent Martha’s Vineyard, including Oprah Winfrey, Larry David, Bill Murray, John Kerry, and the Clintons. Perhaps they are all racists, too, as the island has become anti-immigration.

As NBC News confidently asserts, there is “racism behind anti-immigration rhetoric,” rhetoric which we are now hearing from Martha’s Vineyard.

Democrats and the left do not believe in a sovereign national border, instead encouraging illegal immigration and amnesty for those making their way from anywhere to the United States. Democrats have voted to defend sanctuary cities and block mandatory jail time for repeat illegals. This would include, “Garcia Zarate, a repeat felon from Mexico, had been deported multiple times prior to the shooting” and murder of Kate Steinle.

Democrats are not in the least bothered over such incidents. During the Obama administration, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi argued that the surge of illegal immigrant children and families crossing into the U.S. is more of an “opportunity” than a “crisis.” It wasn’t such a great “opportunity” for Ms. Steinle, although it was for Mrs. Pelosi remaining House Speaker.

Then why are Democrats and progressives outraged when unvetted, potentially criminal illegal immigrants wind up in their tony neighborhoods? As Fox News reported, “Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis followed through on his promise to drop off illegal immigrants in progressive states, sending two planes full of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.”

YouTube screen grab

Imagine wealthy, virtue-signaling leftists being outraged when, as those whom Speaker Pelosi characterized as “God’s children” move a little too close for comfort.

DeSantis challenged progressives to walk the walk, rather than just talk the talk. And now they are tripping over their self-proclaimed virtue.

Local Democrat elected officials are not pleased:

“History does not look kindly on leaders who treat human beings like cargo, loading them up and sending them a thousand miles away without telling them their destination," Democratic Massachusetts Congressman William Keating said on Twitter. Keating represents Martha's Vineyard.

But it’s O.K. to send such “cargo” to Denver or Seattle, also thousands of miles away from their homes under the guise of tolerance and diversity?

The local NBC News affiliate reported that lawmakers from the Bay State condemned the move, saying it's "manipulating people who are in very dire circumstances for political gain." That describes Democrat policies to open the borders, exploiting vulnerable populations simply for electoral gain.

Martha’s Vineyard County Commissioner Keith Chatinover pulled out the leftist standard, calling Gov. DeSantis a “fascist.” He previously said he would “love” for the affluent island to become a “haven” for migrants but not that he is getting his wish, he calls DeSantis “inhumane” for not giving the Democrat-run enclave advanced warning. How much warning do border states receive when not 50, but 50,000, migrants show up in their states?

Despite caterwauling over a mere 50 migrants, Breitbart Business Digest calculates that the island has room for six million refugees. Who knew that the wealthy progressive islanders could be so cheap and racist? Or as the Federalist reported, “Here are 12 beautiful estates on the island with plenty of room for the local community to benevolently offer to their newest residents.”

Despite virtue-signaling their tolerance, it seems Democrat and white Martha’s Vineyard residents don’t like brown people in their neighborhood. Unless they are cleaning their mansions or mowing their lawns.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, observing his Florida counterpart, said “hold my beer” as he bussed more than 100 illegal immigrants to the vice presidential residence in Washington, D.C. This was after Vice President Kamala Harris noted a week earlier during a T.V. interview that “we have a secure border” despite illegal immigration hitting record highs.

The brilliant White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, who thought Senator Ted Cruz was the governor of Texas, doubled down on Harris’s “secure border” nonsense. She also had the audacity to blame former President Donald Trump for the flood of illegals into America, forgetting that Trump was one of very few Republicans who made this an issue, and despite bipartisan opposition, began building a secure border between the U.S. and Mexico.

Fortunately, these two Republican governors had the cojones to take on illegal immigration and serve a dose of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals to the Democrats: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the virtual-signaling left is in favor of illegal immigration and sanctuary cities, then by all means let them prove it.

New York City and Washington, D.C., both proudly self-proclaimed sanctuary cities, are now complaining over illegal immigrants from Texas and Arizona arriving in their cities. This is about inclusion, allowing northern cities and states to experience the delights of being a border state, including them in the problems that most of the federal government and many elected Republicans choose to ignore.

Wealthy liberals are famous for telling their inferiors what to do, but loudly proclaiming “not in my backyard” over what they want in everyone else’s backyard. A famous example was a plan 15 years ago to build 130 windmills off the Massachusetts coast.

Windmills are a progressive's wet dream, along with solar panels. But only as long as not in their yards or neighborhoods. Ted Kennedy and William Koch, of the infamous and evil Koch Brothers, helped kill the project. The Cape Wind Project in 2007, “Would also have spoiled the view from the Kennedy family’s estate and that of the Democratic family's billionaire neighbor, William Koch, owner of a nearby 26-acre estate.”

Imagine if Gov. DeSantis sent a few busloads of illegal immigrants to Hyannisport and dropped them off in front of the Kennedy and Koch estates. Sen. Kennedy pushed through the 1965 Immigration Reform Act and subsequent legislation which gave us chain migration, refugee programs, blanket amnesty, an immigration lottery, and H-1B visas. But he didn’t want these immigrants anywhere near him.

Just like with unsightly windmills, Sen. Kennedy would have not allowed unsightly illegal immigrants to camp out in front of his gated estate. He would smugly tell America, “walls for me, but not for thee.”

Leftist outrage is quite selective.

From a few months ago: “Biden administration resumes after-dark migrant flights to airport outside NYC.”

Was there any liberal or Twitter meltdown over this? Funny how the left reacts when forced to live under their own rules.

This is what pushback looks like. Republican governors should have been doing this as soon as President Trump met resistance to his wall building plans. Busloads of immigrants could have been dropped off in front of Paul Ryan, Nancy Pelosi, and Mitch McConnell’s homes. As well as in other sanctuary city enclaves like Boulder, Ithaca, Berkeley, Ann Arbor, Westchester County, and Cambridge. If blue states want to be sanctuaries, red states should send them all of their illegal immigrants.

Fortunately, a few Republican leaders are now waking up and learning to fight. Too bad most Republicans sit on their hands, preferring campaign checks from the pro unfettered immigration Chamber of Commerce rather than fighting to enforce the nation’s laws and keep their constituents safe.

Thankfully Donald Trump brought this issue front and center after his 2015 escalator ride at Trump Tower. What a perfect opportunity for the few Republicans brave and smart enough to make this an issue in the upcoming midterm elections.

I’m hoping Republican hopefuls in my state of Colorado make this a campaign issue as Denver morphs into San Francisco. It was a winner for Trump and would be for any Republicans with the sense to take this issue to the people.

When a ‘Sanctuary City’ is Short on Sanctuary

Martha’s Vineyard gets a lesson on lax immigration policies.

Self-proclaimed “sanctuary city” Martha’s Vineyard, one of the richest and whitest communities in the country, has turned out to be not much of a sanctuary for the illegal aliens they claim to care so much about. Recently, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent 50 Venezuelan illegal aliens to the tony enclave, reasoning that if its citizens are serious about their compassion for migrants and their love of diversity, they’d jump at the chance to prove it by actually spending some money on them.

Instead, the town-fathers and citizens whined about the strain on their resources and the disorder caused by unvetted illegal aliens swarming their town. Then there’s the hysteria over relocating illegal border-crossers, something Biden’s Feds have been doing for months––an estimated 10,000 just to New York.

Martha’s Vineyard’s complaints are also particularly shameless, claiming a “housing crisis” in a community with thousands of empty rooms. Meanwhile, documentary film maker Ken Burns by implication called De Santis Hitler, and Hillary Clinton directly called him a “human trafficker.”  Barack Obama, who frequently lectures “bitter clingers” about their xenophobia towards “people who are not like them,” owns a huge, 29-acre estate in Martha’s Vineyard that could easily accommodate all 50 Venezuelans.

Instead, the mayor called in the National Guard to ship all those “diverse” victims of callous Republicans to a military base on Cape Cod, an act of NIMBY Pharasism. Then the rich denizens of Martha’s Vineyard started a GoFundMe fundraiser to panhandle ordinary Americans for money to handle this “humanitarian crisis” that’s already been resolved simply by kicking the migrants out of town. The proceeds, however, will not go to the expelled migrants, but to “building up a reserve to assist situations like this in the future.”

But like most of the virtue-signaling Left, this playground of the economic elite has exposed itself as full of posers unwilling to actually do anything about their vaunted “principles”––a long tradition among Western leftists. The result is a morally preening political rhetoric that worsens problems like uncontrolled illegal immigration by proscribing obvious common-sense solutions such as upgrading border security, including building a wall; keeping those claiming asylum in Mexico; and Title 42, which allowed for increased expulsions.

These are just a few of Donald Trump’s policies that substantially reduced illegal border-crossings that under the Biden administration have swelled to 4.9 million, according to FAIR. Currently the rate of illegal entries in El Paso has been 1300 a day, while Yuma, Arizona this year has seen its population of about 100,000 more than double to 250,000. Texas border-town Del Rio has had 15,000 enter in just one day. Those numbers are a real “humanitarian crisis.”

There are many reasons for the bipartisan de facto open-borders policy. The Democrats’ decades-long dream of creating a “permanent majority” coalition of college-educated whites and minorities requires letting in more and more migrants, legal or not, to increase the number of dependents on government largesse. Meanwhile corporate plutocrats want lax immigration protocols in order to stock the pool of cheap labor.

This dangerous policy comes cheap for both cohorts, since the impact of millions of illegal aliens will not be felt by the cognitive and economic elites who promote unfettered immigration. Their posh communities don’t have to deal with the drug and sex trafficking, overdoses, crime, and daily disorder. That fact is what makes the relocation programs of border-state governors like DeSantis, Arizona’s Doug Ducey, and Texas’s Greg Abbot so politically brilliant–-now “sanctuary” mayors and governors and their citizens can experience first-hand the costs of their lofty principles they’ve been flaunting on the cheap. Then maybe they’ll start rethinking their disastrous immigration policies.

But the hypocrisy of the Left and progressives is nothing new. It goes back to the beginning of Marxism. Karl Marx came from the upper-middle class, and his financier and collaborator Friedrich Engels was the scion of a wealthy Prussian textiles industrialist. Over the years the promoters and leadership of leftist movements have been mainly middle-class and affluent, like today’s cognitive elite “woke,” “parlor pinks” and “limousine liberals” who espouse the principles that they can afford and that fit their upscale life-styles, making them superior to Middle America’s hoi polloi.

The biggest insult, though, of this hypocrisy is the fundamental ignorance that underlies it. I learned this from the experience of growing up in an environment exactly the opposite of Martha’s Vineyard. About 80% of the people living around our ranch were so-called “people of color,” mostly ethnic Mexicans, the vast majority legal. Most were working class or poor, including the white Dust Bowl migrants––the vast majority of whom showed no signs of enjoying “white privilege.”

It wasn’t until I got to UCLA and started interacting with mostly white, mostly affluent professors and students that I started questioning my callow leftism. Some of them talked a lot about racism and bigotry, or waxed lyrical about the poor. Of course, I never met one who had actually lived among minorities, especially the poor or working class of any ethnicity. All they had were leftist clichés and Dickensian melodramas. And all they knew about Mexicans was that they were noble farmworkers abused by corporate agriculture, forced to slave away on land stolen from their ancestors by greedy gringos. As for illegal aliens, they parroted activist lies like “We didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us.”

So too today, the champions of open borders and sanctuary cities are massively ignorant about the conditions in communities swamped by unvetted migrants, let alone the complex diversity of every ethnicity. They talk, like D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, about a “growing humanitarian crisis” as if it were something new rather than a problem that border-states have been dealing with for decades.

Or they just slander as “xenophobic” and “racist” the mostly working-class people, including Mexican-Americans, blacks, and Asians as well as whites, who have to live with the crime and disorder. And because of that ignorance, they support policies that make things worse for everybody else except the cognitive elites of all ethnicities who congregate in tony enclaves where the only Latinos they know, apart from fellow credentialed elites, make their beds and mow their lawns.

Finally, the issue is not immigration per se, as the open-borders people claim with their Emma Lazarus clichés like “we’re all immigrants.” This tactic serves to deflect from the real problem: our broken immigration system that needs reforming. Most of us know that given our declining birth-rates, we need immigrants. What we don’t need is the indiscriminate influxes that include criminals, drug-traffickers, deadbeats, and terrorists.

This means first securing the border, as Donald Trump had made a good start at doing. Asylum claimants must be kept in Mexico while their claims are adjudicated. Instead of hiring legions of IRS auditors, that money should go to hiring more border-patrol agents. “Family unification” policies should stop. And most important, the vetting process must not just sift out the unwanted, but identify those who can contribute to the well-being and success of this country.

One silver lining of this mess is the growing number of Latinos who are breaking away from the Democrat plantation. This shift reflects the assimilation that is happening despite the illiberal identity politics that permeates our culture, especially in schools and universities. I know this because I’ve watched it happen over my 44 years of teaching in a Latino-majority university. Whether it’s rate of intermarriage, tastes in fashion, and now political preferences, students of Latino heritage are not as culturally distinct as they were when I was growing up.

The  2013 bipartisan “Gang of Eight” Republican champions of a “path to citizenship,” then, were not entirely wrong about the conservative inclinations of Latinos. The problem was they never came up with specifics about how to sort them out from criminals and deadbeats. Lax standards for illegals who were on the path to citizenship, such a allowing offenses like DUIs or other misdemeanors, didn’t bespeak a serious effort to thoroughly vet preconditions for citizenship.

We need to get serious about immigration, which means specific reforms and ending blue-state nullification policies like sanctuary cities, as well as not letting corporate interests override national interests and security. For now, border-state governors like Ron De Santis and Greg Abbot have done the country a great service by exposing the hypocrisy of open-borders Democrats, as well as giving their constituents some first-hand experience of the dangers and disorder of an unfettered immigration they haven’t had to experience first-hand.

Media Elites Outraged as Migrants Get Free Trip to Elite Resort

The media elites are outraged about the 50 migrants flown to the exclusive island of Martha’s Vineyard this week.

The establishment media has published many negative opinion articles in the last few days, dubbing Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) chartered flight of migrants as a “disgraceful stunt,” to “whip up” “deeply cynical” “anger.”

But in reality, the passengers on the flight of migrants to the elite destination of Martha’s Vineyard are just a tiny percentage of President Joe Biden’s mass migration since January 2021. For perspective, Del Río, Texas encountered 28,000 migrants in the single month of October 2021.

The Democrats on Martha’s Vineyard are in such an upheaval about the 50 migrants they have called the situation a “humanitarian crisis” and have expelled the migrants, along with considering legal action.

Farah Stockman, a member of the New York Times’ Editorial Board, wrote an article with the headline, “The Martha’s Vineyard Migrant Stunt Is Making One Truth About This Country Clear.” In the article, she claimed the flight was a “part of a not-so-secret Republican plan to whip up anger against Democrats ahead of the midterm elections.”

NBC published, and later deleted, a tweet quoting “a founding member of a foundation which helps refugees,” who compared the migrants to “trash.”

A similar theme appeared in the Los Angeles Times. Bob Drogin, a reporter for the paper, wrote an op-ed titled, “Ron DeSantis’ cruel political theater falls flat on Martha’s Vineyard.”

“It was cruel, of course,” Drogin said of the migrants being sent to the exclusive island. “It was deeply cynical. But the disgraceful stunt made for striking political theater.” Drogin made no mention that the Venezuelan migrants were just a tiny percentage of Biden’s mass migration into the interior.

The Editorial Board of the Boston Globe, the largest paper near Martha’s Vineyard, said DeSantis had trafficked humans — again, without mentioning Biden’s migration policies. “Trafficking in human lives should have consequences for its Republican perpetrators,” the headline read.

The piece continued:

Dr. Jose Rodriguez, a reverend in Orlando, wrote in the Orlando Sentinel that the flight “cruelly attacked our migrant neighbors.” In an article titled, “DeSantis has betrayed Florida’s values of refuge, hospitality,” Rodriguez claimed that “Florida politics have embraced the idolatry of the age.” He further claimed the flight violated Florida’s “duty of care to our neighbors.”

He continued with parts of Emma Lazarus’s sonnet: “Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp! … Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me.”

Rodriguez made no mention of Biden’s “trafficking” policies or the fact that Massachusetts is a sanctuary jurisdiction. Florida is not.

On Friday, the White House convened a meeting “to discuss a range of pressing immigration issues — including ‘litigation options’ to respond” to the migrant transportation to exclusive locations, Axios reported. Later in the day, the migrants were expelled from the exclusive island and taken to a military base.

“These are the kinds of tactics we see from smugglers in places like Mexico and Guatemala,” Karine Jean-Pierre claimed, referring to the flight, not to the expulsion from Martha’s Vineyard.

White House Whips Media with ‘Cruel GOP’ Narrative on Migrants

The Republican party’s televised policy of sending economic migrants into Democrat neighborhoods has forced the White House to double down on its bald-faced narrative that “cruel” Republican governors are interfering with the “safe, orderly, and humane” processing of several million invited migrants.

But the narrative is risky because it fuels angry, much-publicized reactions from Democratic activists even while Democratic campaign advisers are  trying to keep the issue out of the headlines during the midterm campaign, according to Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies.

“They’re just going berserk,” Krikorian told Breitbart News:

They’re behaving like children. It’s ridiculous. Martha’s Vineyard has something like four times the median income as South Texas. So they can’t deal with any illegal aliens? Even though Martha’s Vineyard’s media and businesses have been complaining last year and this year about the need for more foreign workers to work in their restaurants! … All they’re doing is reinforcing the populist-versus-out-of-touch-elites narrative that the Republicans are running on.

This is drawing attention — unwanted attention — to their destruction of the border. Even the lapdog media has to write about this when a busload of illegal aliens is dropped off at the Naval Observatory right in front of Harris’ house. In a sense, their concern is that anytime the news is about the border and illegal immigration, it’s bad for them. That may be what’s going on.

But White House officials are whipping White House reporters with the Democrats’ narrative.

“It is a cruel way for elected officials — the power who have power … to behave in this way and we should call it out,” said Karine Jean-Pierre, a Haitian immigrant who is now the White House’s spokeswoman.

She continued:

It is a political stunt. That’s what we’re seeing from Republican governors in particular, and it is a cruel, inhumane way of treating people who are fleeing communism — people who are poor. And we’re not just talking about people. We’re talking about children, we’re talking about families who were promised a home, promised a job, put on a bus, and you know, driven to a place that they do not know. And it is a cruel thing to do. … It’s cruel. It is a cruel way for elected officials — the people who have power, the people who are elected by their constituencies — to behave in this way, and we should call it out. Republicans should call out Republicans.

She used the word “cruel” at least eight times during the briefing. She used “stunt” 10 times, and “communism” five times — and the subsequent media reports echoed with “stunt” and “cruel” references.

The pitch was ridiculed by DeSantis and pro-American groups.

“Their virtue signaling is a fraud, ok?” DeSantis said Thursday. “It is not defensible for a superpower to not have any control over the territory of its country, over the borders of its country.”

“The Republicans [are] cruel and horrible and mean for sending people to Martha’s Vineyard!” scoffed Rosemary Jenks, the director of government relations for NumbersUSA. She continued:

Most people who see this, I would guess, just think it’s hysterical because it is completely, hysterically funny. You have Kamala Harris saying on national television the border is secure [but] every sentient being on the planet knows our border is not secure. And how many days later, a busload of illegal aliens arrives at her doorstep? I mean, that’s just funny.

The in-house journalists quietly accepted the narrative, and a few even asked Jean-Pierre if the governors’ busing of migrants is illegal.

Jean-Pierre continued the invective on Friday, saying the GOP governors are using “the kinds of tactics we see from smugglers in places like Mexico and Guatemala,” and are treating the migrants “like chattel,” which is a synonym for slaves.

On Thursday. Jean-Pierre repeatedly insisted the Biden administration is repairing an immigration system that was “broken” by President Donald Trump, who worked to enforce barriers against economic migration:

We are fixing a broken system. It is not like turning the light switch on. It is going to take some time. But I will say this: More individuals encountered at the border will be removed or expelled this year than in any previous year.

We have repeatedly said a long-term solution can only come from comprehensive legislation that brings lasting reform to a fundamentally broken system. We understand that and that’s why we continue to call on Congress to also act so we get it done. It’s a fundamental long-term issue. It is a broken system.

Overall, few White House reporters understand immigration politics — especially the economics of migration. After all, they face massive social and workplace pressure from other journalists, and editors, and vice-presidents — to endorse migration.

When the establishment media subordinates itself to the White House narrative and then refuses to connect the dots, many Americans have to do it themselves, Jenks said. “They have to connect all those dots and with the media screaming at them “Republican Bad! Republican Bad!,” they may not go any deeper than that.

“The Democratic narrative very well could work if Republicans aren’t pushing back on it,” she continued. “… Even when inflation and the economy has overtaken all other issues, immigration is still in the top five of every poll I’ve seen, right? So … Republicans should be talking about immigration.”

To be persuasive in politics, “you have to personalize it for people,” Jenks added. “Why is an open border bad for me? Republicans could be so easily showing that.

“They could say that these are economic migrants. They’re coming here for your jobs. They’re going to lower your wages. They’re going to compete with you for housing. They’re going to be competing for resources in your kids’ school. … [And] it is perfectly reasonable for Americans to be concerned first and foremost with their families, then second with their communities. That’s how communities function.”

Republicans should also show how Biden’s effort to extract migrants is bad for the sending countries, she added. “The people who are coming to the border are the people with the most resources from those countries. You have to pay a smuggling fee. You have to pay for your transportation, however you got here. You have to pay for food and water and shelter along the way. So these are the people with resources. They’re also the people with the most get up and go the most ambition. … We’re also giving basically a pass to bad governments in these four countries because the people who would rebel against the government are coming to the United States.”

But the leaders of the Democratic Party understand how to whip their upper-class progressive base back into line, even though the vast immigration hurts their voters’ wages, salaries, housing costs, and communities.

In September 2021, when progressives watched the Del Rio migration rush, Democratic leaders shouted “Racism!” and the major TV networks turned their cameras and questions away from the crush of migrants while progressives were invited to display their moral superiority over the supposedly racist supporters of U.S. borders.

In September 2022, the White House leaders are encouraging their base to view their own faction as noble and to view pro-border Americans as cruel, exploitative, and racist outsiders.

On Thursday, Biden used a speech to a pro-migration, ethnic advocacy group to lash the GOP governors:  “Republicans are playing politics with human beings, using them as props. What they’re doing is simply wrong. It’s un-American. It’s reckless.”

The party’s tactic of promising moral superiority to liberal college graduates in exchange for allowing a huge transfer of their wealth to Wall Street is often successful. For example, the Martha’s Vineyard narrative was quickly echoed by progressives tweeters:

Extraction Migration

It is easier for government officials to grow the economy by immigration than by growing exports, productivity, or the birth rate.

So the federal government officially — and unofficially — extracts millions of migrants from poor countries and uses them as extra workers, consumers, and renters. This extraction migration policy both grows and skews the national economy.

The policy prevents tight labor markets, and so it shifts vast wealth from ordinary people to investorsbillionaires, and Wall Street. It makes it difficult for ordinary Americans to advance in their careers, get married, raise families, or buy homes.

Extraction migration slows innovation and shrinks Americans’ productivity, partly because it allows employers to boost stock prices by using stoop labor and disposable workers instead of the American professionals and productivity-boosting technology that would allow Americans and their communities to earn more money.

This migration policy also reduces exports by minimizing shareholder pressure on U.S. companies to build up beneficial and complementary trade with people in poor countries.

Migration undermines employees’ workplace rights, and it widens the regional economic gaps between the Democrats’ cheap-labor coastal states and the Republicans’ Heartland and southern states.

An economy fueled by extraction migration also drains Americans’ political clout over elites, alienates young people, and radicalizes Americans’ democratic civic culture because it gives an excuse for wealthy elites and progressives to ignore despairing Americans at the bottom of society, such as drug addicts.

This economic strategy is enthusiastically pushed by progressives who wish to transform the U.S. from a society governed by European-origin civic culture into an economic empire of jealous identity groups overseen by progressive hall monitors. “We’re trying to become the first multiracial, multi-ethnic superpower in the world,” Rep. Rohit Khanna (D-CA) told the New York Times in March 2022. “It will be an extraordinary achievement. … We will ultimately triumph,” he boasted.

But the progressives’ colonialism-like economic strategy kills many migrants. It exploits the poverty of migrants and splits foreign families as it extracts human resources from poor home countries to serve wealthy U.S. investors.

Progressives hide this extraction migration economic policy behind a wide variety of noble-sounding narratives and theatrical border security programs. For example, they claim the U.S. is a “Nation of Immigrants,” that migration helps migrants, and that the state must renew itself by replacing populations.

Similarly, establishment Republicans, media businesses, and major GOP donors hide the skew caused by migration. They suppress any recognition of the pocketbook impact and instead tout border chaos, welfare spending, migrant crime, and drug smuggling.

Many polls show the public wants to welcome some immigration. But the polls also show deep and broad public opposition to labor migration and the inflow of temporary contract workers into jobs U.S. graduates need.

This “Third Rail” opposition is growinganti-establishmentmultiracialcross-sexnon-racistclass-basedbipartisanrationalpersistent, and recognizes the solidarity that American citizens owe to one another.

Sen. Tom Cotton: ‘Biden Is Doing the Exact Same Thing’ That GOP Governors Are Doing

(CNSNews.com) - President Biden is doing the same thing with the migrants that he complains about Republican governors doing, which is transporting migrants all across the country, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said Friday.

Border towns in Texas and Arizona have had to deal with thousands of migrants who cross the border everyday, yet when a few thousand arrive in Washington, D.C., they declare a state of emergency, he said.

“The hypocrisy of these sanctimonious liberals is just amazing. Joe Biden has presided over a slow motion invasion of our country since he took office. Almost 4 million illegal migrants have crossed into our country and there are border towns, including El Paso, as we heard from Bill Melugin who have thousands of illegal migrants arriving every single day,” he told Fox News’ “America Reports.”

“Yet when a few thousand arrive in Washington, D.C. They declare a state of emergency. When they get to Chicago they call out the National Guard. When 50 get to Martha's vineyard the liberal media goes into a five-alarm fire. These communities are so hypocritical because they are not willing to bear the brunt of Joe Biden's immigration failures,” Cotton said.

“Remember, Joe Biden is doing the exact same thing. He is transporting migrants all around the country. Just liberals want to decide where illegal migrants go, and apparently all the rich elite on Martha's Vineyard don't want them in their communities. So why should working class communities in Arizona and Texas have to bear that burden?” he asked.

“But more fundamentally what I would say is that [Arizona Gov.] Doug Ducey and [Texas Gov.] Greg Abbott and the people of Arizona and Texas, I’m sure they would much rather than sending buses and planes to the north that Joe Biden actually do his job and protect our border and send those buses and planes to the south because these illegal migrants should be going back to their home countries. They shouldn't be going anywhere in America,” the senator said.

Cotton said that the almost 4 million illegal immigrants that have crossed into the U.S. since Biden took office “is not the result of incompetence.”

“This is not an accident. This is not bad luck for the Biden administration. This is their deliberate policy. This is exactly what they wanted. It’s what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris campaigned on. You saw yesterday that the press secretary wouldn't even say migrants shouldn't come to this country,” he said.

“They wouldn't even send a message that you shouldn't make the journey to get to our borders because they're inviting illegal migrants from all across the world to come to our country. This is the exact result the Biden administration wanted,” the senator said.

“Yet when it imposes hardship on democratic communities like Martha’s Vineyard or Washington, D.C., they go to Deathcon one about it when they are doing the exact same thing in cities across the country,” Cotton added.

Martha’s Vineyard, Voting 84% for Biden, Gets Illegal Aliens Deported to Military Base

After declaring a “humanitarian crisis,” the outcry from Martha’s Vineyard over just 50 illegal alien arrivals has prompted Gov. Charlie Baker (R) to deport the group from the elite island off the coast of Massachusetts to a nearby military base.

This week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) flew about 50 illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard — a wealthy enclave of liberals and home to former President Obama who owns a nearly $12 million estate.

As Breitbart News estimates, the island could house about six million illegal aliens.

Democrat officials on Martha’s Vineyard immediately declared a “humanitarian crisis” even as the 50 illegal alien arrivals are a drop in the ocean compared to the nearly 6,000 border crossers and illegal aliens that American border towns are subjected to every day.

In response, Baker bused the illegal aliens off Martha’s Vineyard to Joint Base Cape Cod following Democrats’ outcry that DeSantis’ flying illegal aliens to the elite island was “evil and inhumane” even as President Joe Biden buses and flies thousands of illegal aliens every day to working and middle class communities.

Residents on the island voted up to 88 percent for Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

“… [Joint Base Cape Cod] can provide dedicated space for access to legal services and other essential services such as basic healthcare,” Baker said in a statement, noting that the illegal aliens will live in “dormitory-style spaces.”

Baker is also deploying about 125 members of the Massachusetts National Guard to aid the illegal aliens arriving at Joint Base Cape Cod.

The move comes as the Biden administration is reportedly reviewing “legal options” against Republican governors who are sending border crossers and illegal aliens to Democrat havens rather than keeping them in their states.

Baker also claimed that Martha’s Vineyard is “not equipped to provide sustainable accommodation” to illegal aliens. Wealthy residents, though, leave their summer homes on Martha’s Vineyard in the autumn and winter months — providing excess shelter space for new arrivals.

“Most of those multi-million dollar mansions are summer homes that are vacant most of the year,” Christina Pushaw, a spokeswoman for DeSantis’s re-election campaign, said. “They can be used to house thousands of illegal migrants. Time to walk the walk, Biden voters.”

The Obamas, for instance, do not live primarily at their vacation home in Martha’s Vineyard. Instead, the family spends most of their time at their primary residence in Washington, DC — an $8.1 million estate in the exclusive Kalorama neighborhood.

On Martha’s Vineyard, the Obamas’ property boasts 29 acres, a private beach, seven bedrooms, and eight and a half bathrooms. The residence alone could likely house up to 15 newly arrived illegal aliens while the acreage could house the remaining 35 illegal aliens in makeshift facilities.

The “zero tolerance” program was dismantled by Attorney General Erc Holder once it had successfully cut the transit of migrants by roughly 95 percent. Initially, officials made 140,000 arrests per year in the mid-2000s, but the northward flow dropped so much that officials only had to make 6,000 arrests in 2013, according to a 2014 letter by two pro-migration Senators, Sen. Jeff Flake and John McCain.

The cost of the Dream Act is far bigger than the Democrats or their media allies admit. Instead of covering 690,000 younger illegals now enrolled in former President Barack Obama’s 2012 “DACA” amnesty, the Dream Act would legalize at least 3.3 million illegals, according to a pro-immigration group, the Migration Policy Institute.”

The Obamas quickly became super rich (SERVING THE SUPER RICH CAN DO THAT!). Vanity Fair celebrated these "Obamoguls" and hailed Michelle Obama for her "saintly popularity." This so-called saint doesn't spurn the finer things. Last August, TMZ reported the Obamas were buying a $15 million mansion on the coast of Martha's Vineyard to match their $8 million Washington, D.C., mansion.

Just for appearance’s sake, you would have thought that one of the homeowners in Martha’s Vineyard would have offered to open his or her house to the migrants shanghaied to the island by Florida governor Rick DeSantis. Instead, the migrants were sent packing to a military base on the mainland.

President Barack Obama, for example, has plenty of room. In 2019, Obama purchased a seven-bedroom, nine-bath, nearly 7,000-square-foot house that sits on 29 bucolic acres alongside Edgartown Pond on the island’s southeastern shore. His two neighbors to his immediate north have eleven beds between them, according to real estate records. The two neighbors to his south have ten beds between them. So by our count, the neighborhood could have housed more than half of the newcomers.

Since this is the Breitbart Business Digest, we’ll point out that the former president’s investment in Martha’s Vineyard real estate has worked out extraordinarily well. The president reportedly paid $11.75 million for the place in 2019. Zillow estimates that it is now worth $18.4 million, nearly a 57 percent gain.

I’ve Seen Fire…

The labor market remains incredibly hot. The Labor Department reported Thursday that initial unemployment claims fell by 5,000 to 213,000 in the week ended September 10. This is the fifth consecutive week of falling claims. The four-week moving average, which smooths out volatility from week to week, declined to the lowest level since June.

This suggests that the Federal Reserve’s efforts to ease labor market tightness have not gained much traction. Employers are clearly holding on to workers despite softening in the retail sector and in manufacturing. These low levels of layoffs point toward another hot jobs number for September. The tightness of the labor market will give workers more leverage to push for higher wages. That will fuel inflationary pressures further.

Shifting consumer spending toward services is likely creating additional demand for workers because so much of the services side of the economy is manpower intensive. Restaurant sales, for example, rose 1.1 percent in August, according to the Census Bureau.

…and I’ve Seen Rain…

FedEx delivered a pretty dire view of the global economy, sparking a broad selloff in stocks. The company warned that a macroeconomic slowdown was lowering the volume of goods being shipped around the world. In an appearance on CNBC Thursday, FedEx’s chief executive said he expects the global economy to enter a recession. The company warned that profits in the quarter that includes August would be roughly half of what Wall Street was expecting. Shares of FedEx fell 21 percent on Friday.

While FedEx’s size makes it a decent economic bellwether, it’s not safe to assume that the U.S. economy is in as dire shape as the decline in FedEx shares might seem to imply. In the first place, a lot of the softness FedEx expects is emerging from Asia and Europe, which have their own particular challenges. Second, FedEx was a huge benefiter of all the consumer spending on goods during the pandemic and post-pandemic recovery. Now that spending is rebalancing back toward services, this will hurt shipping volumes.

In the Census Bureau’s report on retail sales for August, online sales dropped by 0.7 percent. That is the first month-to-month decline since March and likely reflects a shift away from people ordering so much stuff. (Although some of the decline may be an artifact of the seasonal adjustment not properly accounting for Amazon’s Prime Day in mid-July.)

That said, the shift back to services is happening more slowly than expected. Remember that big jump in restaurant sales we mentioned? A good part of it was due to inflation rather than people eating out more frequently. The consumer price index of food away from home rose 0.9 percent. So the real increase was just 0.2 percent. On an annual basis, sales are up 10.9 percent, but the price index is up by eight percent, leaving real growth at just under three percent.

… I’ve Seen Rate Hike Cycles That Never Seemed to End

The Federal Reserve is almost certain to announce a 75 basis point rate hike next week, although there is a slim chance that they could announce a 100 basis point hike. If the Fed does act as expected, however, the focus of investors will be on the Summary of Economic Projections (SEP). We haven’t seen the dots since the June meeting, and it is very clear those are now badly out of date.

The last SEP had the Fed Funds rate rising to 3.4 percent by the end of this year and 3.8 percent by the end of next year. We’ve since heard from a number of Fed officials that they would like to see the target be around four percent early next year, which means the expected tightening has not just accelerated by 12 months but also pushed up the terminal rate. That report also had unemployment at 3.7 percent by the end of this year and 3.8 percent by the end of next year. Both are likely to be revised a good deal higher in the new estimates.

A big test will be not just how high the Fed Funds rate is expected to go but how long it will stay there. The June SEP had the rate falling back down to 3.4 in 2024. If the Fed wants to really convince the market that rates will stay higher for longer, officials may do away with the projected decline. The Fed still has work to do to convince markets that they will not soon see lower rates again.

THE GREATEST TRANSFER OF WEALTH TO THE BANKSTER CLASS AND THE RICH PRIOR TO TRUMP OCCURRED DURING THE OBAMA-BIDEN BANKSTER REGIME. THEY SERVED THE 1% WELL AND THEY HAVE BEEN RICHLY REWARDED WITH FRAUDULENT DERIVED BOOK DEALS AND BANISTER SPEECH FEE BRIBES.

But soon enough, the reality of Barack Obama’s unpopularity, the reality of the criminal abuse by his administration in trying to frame and otherwise take down President Trump, and the reality of a booming economy helping all Americans, would take the air out of her balloon.

Michelle Obama, Saintly Buckraker?

Tim Graham

The Hollywood Reporter recently broke a scoop about the latest Netflix documentary from the Obamas, designed to offer us an oasis of joy as we suffer through the coronavirus pandemic. It's called "Becoming," and it will be available worldwide on May 6. As the title suggests, it promotes Michelle Obama's memoir of the same name, which has sold more than 10 million copies. So let's get this straight. The Obamas were awarded a book deal worth an estimated $65 million for their memoirs, hers and then his. They also struck an estimated $50 million production deal with Netflix. (We don't have actual numbers. Could someone in the media ask for a tax return?)

With this self-aggrandizing documentary, their second deal is being used to accentuate the profits of their first. The buckraking here is intense. President Donald Trump surely admires their self-promotional moxie. The Obamas quickly became super rich. Non-Fox network coverage? Zero. In December, they actually bought said Martha's Vineyard mansion for $11.75 million. Non-Fox network coverage? Again, zero. There would be no denting haloes by asking how much they're giving to charity. The documentary celebrates Michelle Obama's "Becoming" book tour events at stadiums that charged Obama superfans $300 or more a ticket, often with celebrities like Oprah Winfrey along for the ride.

Media outlets repeated Obama's self-puffery without rebuttal. "Those months I spent traveling -- meeting and connecting with people in cities across the globe -- drove home the idea that what we have in common is deep and real and can't be messed with," she said in a statement. She augmented her new status as a self-help guru with a workbook of sorts: "Becoming: A Guided Journal for Discovering Your Voice," complete with "an intimate and inspiring introduction by the former First Lady and more than 150 inspiring questions and quotes to help you discover -- and rediscover -- your story."

Not everyone famous is praised for self-help books for women. The current president's daughter Ivanka Trump wrote one in 2017, and The New York Times was brutal. "It reads more like the scrambled Tumblr feed of a demented 12-year-old who just checked out a copy of Bartlett's Familiar Quotations from the library," it wrote.

There are never Republican critics of Obama in the "news" these days. In a Washington Post story on the documentary, writer Sonia Rao quoted Anita McBride, chief of staff to former first lady Laura Bush, who said Obama was "a reluctant first lady" but then formed lasting public connections through her "extraordinary use of media and pop culture and television."

Is that Michelle's gift to the media? No, it's the media's gift to Michelle. The infatuated titans of "news" and entertainment media appear to have granted her every "extraordinary" wish in building this "billion-dollar brand."

The cheers are always presumed to be unanimous. Dissent from this party line is ignored. And no one asks about the profits. For the Obamas, greed is cast as just another inspiring voyage of self-discovery.

BARACK OBAMA   -  SERVING THE RICH!

It happened

The Obamas: Royals in an Imaginary Kingdom

It's time for them to take the criticism they so richly deserve.

I heard only two weeks ago about a grandmother in New Orleans, Linda Frickey, 73, who was carjacked in March after taking a break from work to put something in her car.  When the carjackers rushed the car and drove off, Frickey got tangled in the seatbelt and was dragged for one block as her clothes were being torn off.

According to witness Leanne Mascar, after a neighbor frantically screamed to let her go, the carjackers “slowed down and opened the door to kick her out.” Naked and with her arm severed, that grandmother bled to death in the street.

This happened as the blood of vicious murdering and random violence spills from its usual purlieu to just about everywhere in America.  As anti-policing policies infect the country with gut-churning insecurity, in August monthly civilian gun sales exceeded 1 million for a recording-breaking 37 consecutive months.

A day after a 27-year-old California woman’s head was found under her car, severed with a sword by her ex-boyfriend in broad daylight; the same week jogger Eliza Fletcher’s body was found after being randomly kidnapped and raped; and the same day deranged Memphis teenager, Ezekiel Kelly, livestreamed his massacre on Facebook – the Obama’s unveiled their portraits at the White House.

The two uttered calm, “mostly peaceful” speeches atop Biden’s wreckage of record inflation, record border crossings, record crime, record racial and political division, and full-blown generalized anxiety over the deliberate torching of America’s load-bearing institutions.  The Obamas gave every indication that they have no earthly idea about what’s happening in the real world.

“Joe, it is now America’s good fortune to have you as president,” Obama said in the speech, partly meant to atone for overshadowing Biden on his last visit.  “You have guided us through some perilous times.  You’ve built on and gone beyond the work we all did together to expand health care, to fight climate change, to advance social justice, and to promote economic fairness.”

And then he said it.

“Thanks to your decency and thanks to your strength, maybe most of all thanks to your faith in our democracy and the American people, the country’s better off than when you took office …”

In what world is that true?  A make-believe one, of course.

More than a century after slavery was abolished, over a half century after the end of legal discrimination, and when blacks in America – despite it all – have become the most successful in human history, Barack and Michele Obama remain the king and queen of an enchanted Neverland where the unicorn dreams of “social justice” and “economic fairness” produce a perpetual crop of endless grievances.

But paying homage to progressive policies makes sense when you think that it was Obama, who ran on a platform to “fundamentally change the United States of America,” opened the political can of worms that has, today, made America unrecognizable.

Biden’s catastrophes are the rotten fruit of Obama’s policies.

It was Obama, in 2009, who spent his first 100 days apologizing for America’s sins on three continents.  In France he said America “has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive” of Europe.  He poetically seethed, in London, that the world’s financial system was created through decisions made by “just Roosevelt and Churchill sitting in a room with a brandy.”   And when asked if he believed in American exceptionalism, he said yes, but in the same way “that Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks in Greek exceptionalism.”

In the end, his confessions diminished America but earned nothing from jealous friends and avowed enemies.

It was Obama who, while in Turkey that same year, said the U.S. no longer believed itself to be a Judeo-Christian nation.

“Although, as I mentioned, we have a very large Christian population,” said Obama, “we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation.”

It was Obama who repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in the military in 2010 and, in 2011, refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which defined marriage as only between a man and a woman.

After the Supreme Court ruled DOMA unconstitutional in 2013, and in 2015 ruled that the Constitution protects same-sex marriage, it was an unusually giddy Obama who celebrated the decision by lighting up the White House in the colors of the rainbow.

After admitting he didn’t have all the facts, it was Obama who said that the Cambridge police “acted stupidly” in arresting his friend Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., and in 2013, took sides in the highly publicized Trayvon Martin case.

“You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot, I said that this could have been my son,” Obama said at a press briefing.  “Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago.”

After saying that he, like many black males, had been followed while shopping, heard people locking their car doors as he walked down the street, and that he saw a woman clutching her purse “nervously and holding her breath” on an elevator until she got off, Obama said the justice system is racially biased.

“The African-American community is also knowledgeable that there is a history of racial disparities in the application of our criminal laws – everything from the death penalty to enforcement of our drug laws.”

Black Lives Matter was created that same month, a group that Michelle Obama fully supports to this day – after the riots, after the random violence and destruction, and after the Derek Chauvin guilty verdict.

“Many of us still live in fear as we go to the grocery store …” she told Gayle King in a 2021 interview.  “Like so many parents of black kids … the innocent act of getting a license puts fear in our hearts. … I mean, all those Black Lives Matter kids, they’d rather not have to worry about this.”

With no more offices to run for, it’s sad to see that the Obamas have become completely irrelevant in the real world as they fully embrace their role as king and queen of perpetual black grievance.  Despite the mayhem and death young blacks create in Chicago, New York and Memphis, and no matter how much their own lives contradict the deeply flawed narratives they push, the Obamas strut in the accolades of cheap royalty, with stupid pride.

“For me, this day is not just about what has happened, it’s also about what could happen,” she said at the unveiling.  “Because a girl like me, she was never supposed to be up there next to Jacqueline Kennedy and Dolly Madison.  She was never supposed to live in this house, and she definitely wasn’t supposed to serve as first lady.”

No Michelle.

Your extremist policies of climate change, social justice, and economic fairness are creating real victims – in the real world – who couldn’t care less about your bleeping color. They’re suffering and dying, for God’s sake.

It’s long past time for the Obamas to either abdicate the throne or grow up and take whatever criticism they get, and which they so richly deserve.

WHY AMERICA SHOULD BLAME SOCIOPATH GAMER LAWYER BARACK OBAMA FOR THE BIDEN DEBACLE AND WHERE WAS THE OBOMB WHILE GAMER LAWYER HILLARY CLINTON WAS FUNDING THE PHONY CLINTON FOUNDATION SLUSH FUND WITH MONEY FROM FOREIGN DICTATORS?

https://globalistbarackobama.blogspot.com/2022/07/blame-obomb-for-biden-debacle-only.html

During Obama’s presidency, everyone joked that he selected Biden for VP because Biden’s incompetency insured that Obama would never be impeached. Yes, Obama was bad, but Biden would be worse. Now that Biden’s the president, that joke was 100% correct. Sadly, he’s multiple times worse than anyone imagined. Biden has more failures in one year than most presidents have in a lifetime – the Afghanistan debacle and surrender, huge crime spikes due to Democrat “defund the police” insanity, actively working to destroy the petroleum industry while supporting Russia’s, soaring inflation, open support and deference to China, and his weakness being directly responsible for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine -- to name just a few epic failures. As bad as Biden is as president, it’s obvious he selected Harris for the same reason that Obama selected him -- to insure he’s never removed from office. If you think things can’t possibly get worse, just look at Harris and you instantly realize – yes, they can. She would be multiple times worse than Joe.

No Shady Banking Buddy Left Behind

First Lady Michelle Obama's latest overseas jaunt is getting all the headlines. But President Obama's money-grubbing junket to Chicago may cost taxpayers far more in the long run. With his Gaultier-clad wife sashaying around the Spanish seaside, the lonely fundraiser-in-chief returned to Illinois to take care of some birthday-week business. Job One: Filling the Senate campaign coffers of his corruption-tainted political protege Alexi Giannoulias.

Mission accomplished. Obama's Thursday afternoon campaign event for Giannoulias, the beleaguered state treasurer of Illinois, reportedly raked in $1 million. Lagging behind his GOP opponent, liberal Republican Rep. Mark Kirk, Giannoulias has coveted one-on-one, grip-and-grin time with Obama for months. In addition to the cash, photo-ops and video of the Obama fundraising event that Giannoulias will milk from now until Election Day, the White House has dispatched Vice President Joe Biden, White House senior adviser David Axelrod and White House campaign management guru David Plouffe to boost Giannoulias' bid. Plouffe proclaimed Democrats "all in" for Giannoulias, whom he described as "a great progressive champion."

Obama gave his own personal seal of ethical approval,

telling deep-pocketed donors this week: "I appreciate his

strong sense of advocacy for ordinary Americans. You

can trust him -- you can count on him." Uh-huh. And I've

got a bridge to Hope and Change to sell you.

What would Giannoulias know about "ordinary Americans"? Giannoulias, 34, befriended Obama during pickup basketball games with an elite group that also included Michelle Obama's brother, Craig; Chicago edu-crat Arne Duncan (now Education Secretary); and hedge fund manager John Rogers (the ex-husband of the Obamas' ex-White House social secretary, Desiree Rogers). He spread his wealth and influence around early and often to support Obama's fledgling political career. He pitched in $7,000 in 2003-2004 to Obama's Illinois State Senate bids. He hosted fundraisers for Obama's U.S. Senate campaign in 2004 and for his presidential campaign in 2007.

Where'd the cash come from? Giannoulias' Greek immigrant family founded Chicago-based Broadway Bank, a now-defunct financial institution that loaned tens of millions of dollars to convicted mafia felons and faced bankruptcy after decades of engaging in risky, high-flying behavior. It's the place where Obama parked his 2004 U.S. Senate campaign funds. And it's the same place where a mutual friend of Obama and Giannoulias -- convicted Obama fundraiser/slum lord Tony Rezko -- used to bounce nearly $500,000 in bad checks written to Las Vegas casinos. This week, the Chicago Sun-Times revealed an additional $22.75 million Broadway Bank loan to a Rezko-owned business in 2006. Giannoulias held an ownership stake in the bank at the time.

Giannoulias served as Broadway Bank vice president and senior loan officer for four years. According to the Chicago Tribune, during Giannoulias' tenure, some $27 million of Broadway Bank's funny money went to mob crooks Michael "Jaws" Giorango and Demitri Stavropoulos. Giorango is a hustler who fronted a nationwide prostitution ring and was sentenced to six months in prison; Stavropoulos is behind bars for operating a multistate bookmaking ring. Giorango ran the $400-an-hour call girl operation out of high-rise luxury apartments in Chicago with the infamous "Gold Coast Madam," Rose Laws. Giorango and Stavropoulos used their Broadway Bank loans to start their own risky lending business for nontraditional borrowers unable to secure traditional bank financing.

Despite Giorango's criminal record exposed by the Tribune in 2004, Broadway Bank approved massive mortgages for him. Giannoulias' brother, Demetris, explained that as a "relationship bank," Broadway wouldn't just throw someone under the bus because of a "bad article." Instead, the bank went ahead and rubber-stamped a September 2005 loan for $3.4 million to buy a 32-unit Los Angeles apartment complex. The application falsely stated that the borrower, Giorango, had "not been convicted of a felony." Giannoulias oversaw the servicing of such shady loans totaling $11 million. Remember: He was no low-level staffer. He was, as he reminded supporters when he needed to deflect attention away from his youth, top management at Broadway Bank.

In January 2010, the bank entered a consent decree with federal and Illinois state regulators. It required Broadway Bank "to raise tens of millions in capital, stop paying dividends to the family without regulatory approval, and hire an outside party to evaluate the bank's senior management." The city's former inspector general blasted Giannoulias and his family for tapping $70 million worth of dividends in 2007 and 2008 as the real estate crash loomed. Broadway Bank was sitting on an estimated $250 million in bad loans. In late April, federal regulators shut it down. Cost to taxpayers: an estimated $390 million. Giannoulias refused to drop out of the race -- and instead used the company failure to argue that it made him (SET ITAL) more (END ITAL) qualified to serve in office: "I have a renewed vigor and a new perspective on just how horrible it is out there for so many people."
