Racist Mexican Gangs Murder 14 Black Child

“A recent Pew poll indicated that a very large percentage of Americans of Mexican descent regard themselves as Mexicans. Not Mexican-Americans, not American-Mexicans. Just Mexicans.”

“In Mexico, a recent Zogby poll declared that the vast majority of Mexican citizens hate Americans. [22.2] Mexico is a country saturated with racism, yet in denial, having never endured the social development of a Civil Rights movement like in the US--Blacks are harshly treated while foreign Whites are often seen as the enemy. [22.3] In fact, racism as workplace discrimination can be seen across the US anywhere the illegal alien Latino works--the vast majority of the workforce is usually strictly Latino, excluding Blacks, Whites, Asians, and others.”

Just over half, 54 percent, say it is important that they change to assimilate into society, yet about two-thirds, 66 percent, say Latinos should maintain their distinct culture.

2 Latino gang members convicted of first-degree murder of Cheryl Green, potential witness
By Victoria Kim
Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
3:45 PM PDT, September 9, 2010

Two Latino gang members were convicted Thursday of first-degree murder in a hate crime trial surrounding the deaths of a 14-year-old black girl and a potential witness in the Harbor Gateway area of Los Angeles.

The panel also found to be true the allegation that the girl's killing was a hate crime.

The jury deliberated for less than two days in the case of Jonathan Fajardo, 22, and Daniel Aguilar, 23, both members of the 204th street gang. Fajardo was found guilty of killing Cheryl Green because she was black.

Both defendants were convicted of participating in the murder of a potential witness, 21-year-old Christopher Ash, who the gang suspected of talking to police about Green's killing.

Fajardo and Aguilar showed no emotion, staring blankly ahead, as their families sobbed in the audience.

Green was shot in December 2006 as she stood hanging out with friends in a driveway in broad daylight. Prosecutors alleged in trial that Fajardo was agitated from an earlier confrontation with a black man when he fired into the crowd of black youngsters. Three others were wounded in that shooting.

Fajardo also was convicted of attempted murder for shooting at the others in the crowd.

Ash's death came two weeks later. His body, stabbed more than 60 times and wrapped in a bloody blanket, was dumped on a roadside in Carson. The gang suspected him because police served a search warrant on his apartment but released him the same day, prosecutors said.

In the two-week trial, Fajardo's attorney disputed that Green's killing, which Fajardo admitted to in police interviews, was motivated by race, calling it an "accident that rose of fear and anger" and a "rash impulse."

Green's death sparked community outrage and widespread reaction from authorities and politicians about gang violence and black-Latino tensions in the neighborhood, a narrow stretch of Los Angeles between Torrance and Carson where graffiti with racial epithets were an everyday occurrence.

The girl's death was but one of a number of slayings in the area police believe were racially motivated.

WHO HAS MORE CONTEMPT FOR OUR LAWS & BORDERS? OBAMA or MEX INVADERS?

WHO HAS MORE CONTEMPT FOR OUR NATION’S BORDERS AND LAWS?

1. Barack Obama?

2. The Mexican invaders?

“The administration's new direction puts it at odds with those who believe the nation's immigration laws should be strictly enforced and that all illegal immigrants should be deported.”

U.S. shifts approach to deporting illegal immigrants

By Marcus Stern ProPublica

To unclog courts, federal officials shift focus to illegal immigrants who've committed serious crimes
The Obama administration is changing the federal immigration enforcement strategy in ways that reduce the threat of deportation for millions of illegal immigrants, even as states such as Arizona, Colorado, Virginia, Ohio and Texas are pushing to accelerate deportations.

The changes focus enforcement on immigrants who have committed serious crimes, an effort to unclog immigration courts and detention centers. A record backlog of deportation cases has forced immigrants to wait an average 459 days for their hearings, according to an Aug. 12 report by Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), which analyzes government data.

Among the recent changes:

•Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton ordered agency officials on Aug. 20 to begin dismissing deportation cases against people who haven't committed serious crimes and have credible immigration applications pending.

•A proposed directive from Morton posted on ICE's website for public comment last month would generally prohibit police from using misdemeanor traffic stops to send people to ICE. Traffic stops have led to increased deportations in recent years, according to Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, a think tank whose research supports tighter enforcement.

The directive said exceptions would be made in certain cases, such as when immigrants have serious criminal records.

•ICE officers have been told to "exercise discretion" when deciding whether to detain "long-time lawful permanent residents, juveniles, the immediate family members of U.S. citizens, veterans, members of the armed forces and their families, and others with illnesses or special circumstances," Daniel Ragsdale, ICE executive associate director of management, testified July 1 in the administration's lawsuit to block Arizona's controversial immigration law. The law requires police officers to determine the immigration status of suspects stopped for another offense if there was a "reasonable suspicion" they are in the USA illegally. A U.S. district judge has held up the provision pending review.

•A draft memo from ICE's sister agency, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, to Morton discussed ways the administration could adjust regulations so certain groups, such as college students and the spouses of military personnel, could legalize their status or at least avoid deportation if Congress doesn't pass comprehensive immigration reform. USCIS rules on applications for visas, work permits and citizenship. USCIS spokesman Christopher Bentley said the memo was intended to stimulate brainstorming on how to legalize immigrants if new laws aren't passed.

The administration's new direction puts it at odds with those who believe the nation's immigration laws should be strictly enforced and that all illegal immigrants should be deported.

ICE is "thumbing its nose at the law," said Rep. Steve King of Iowa, the top Republican on the House immigration subcommittee.

The changes have also drawn complaints from immigration advocates. They say deportations under Obama are at record highs and immigrants who remain behind are living in limbo, without work permits, Social Security cards or driver's licenses.

"This isn't a free ticket," said Raed Gonzalez, a Houston attorney who saw cases against his clients dropped last month. "The government can put them back into proceedings at any time."

Morton said in an interview that the new strategy is smarter, not softer, enforcement. At a time when more than 10 million people are in the country illegally, record sums are spent on enforcement and the federal budget faces huge deficits, it makes sense to target people who pose the biggest threat to public safety or national security, he said.

"Congress provides enough money to deport a little less than 400,000 people," Morton said. "My perspective is those 400,000 people shouldn't be the first 400,000 people in the door but rather 400,000 people who reflect some considered government enforcement policy based on a rational set of objectives and priorities."

ICE statistics show that deportations have increased dramatically from 189,000 in 2001 to 387,000 in 2009. Much of the increase results from deportations of people who haven't committed serious crimes, according to TRAC.

This year, however, that trend took a sharp turn, according to an Aug. 12 TRAC report.

The number of criminal immigrants removed by ICE "climbed to an all-time high," the report said. In fiscal 2010, which began Oct. 1, "The removal pace of criminal aliens ... is fully 60 percent higher than in the last year of the Bush administration, and at least a third (37%) higher than in the first year of the Obama administration."

Court voids Hazleton, Pa., law targeting illegal immigrants
By Alan Gomez, USA TODAY
A Hazleton, Pa., law that targeted illegal immigrants and served as a model for similar laws around the country was struck down by a federal appeals court Thursday.
The law, passed in 2006 but held up by lawsuits, would have allowed the city to revoke the licenses of businesses that employed illegal immigrants and fine landlords who rented to them. The 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia ruled that the law infringed on the federal government's exclusive power to regulate immigration.

"It is, of course, not our job to sit in judgment of whether state and local frustration about federal immigration policy is warranted," wrote Chief Judge Theodore McKee. "We are, however, required to intervene when states and localities directly undermine the federal objectives embodied in statutes enacted by Congress."

Mayor Lou Barletta said the city will appeal.

"This ruling is a loss for Hazleton and its legal residents," he said. "It is also a blow to the rights of the legal immigrants who choose to call Hazleton their home."

The ruling follows the July decision by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton to halt Arizona's immigration-enforcement law, which would have required police officers to determine the immigration status of suspects stopped for another offense if there was "reasonable suspicion" they were in the country illegally. Republican Gov. Jan Brewer is appealing that decision.

SPEECH: Professors of pronunciation help immigrants

The Hazleton law was the model for similar laws passed around the country, said Omar Jadwat, an attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union Immigrants' Rights Project, who argued against the Hazleton law before the appeals court.

After 84 state immigration laws of different kinds were passed in 2006, more than 200 were passed by state legislatures in each of the next three years, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

"I think it's especially significant that the parent of all of these laws has been pretty conclusively found unconstitutional by a federal court of appeals," Jadwat said.

Gabriel Chin, a University of Arizona Rogers College of Law professor, said those rulings will halt the wave of immigration laws as legislators realize the costs of defending them.

"They are going to put the brakes on around the country on anti-immigrant legislation because it begins to look like a costly proposition," Chin said.

Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, a group that advocates tighter immigration controls, said Thursday's ruling "makes it almost certain" that the Supreme Court will weigh in on states trying to enforce immigration law.

Another Arizona law passed in 2007 that fined businesses hiring illegal immigrants has been upheld by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear that case this year.

Meanwhile, Krikorian said, Thursday's ruling will help Barletta, a Republican who is running for Congress, and others who argue that they are trying to enforce immigration laws in the absence of federal action. That strategy has propelled Brewer's popularity in Arizona as she fights the lawsuit led by the Justice Department.

MEX DRUG CARTEL TAKES OVER OUR BIGGEST SUPPLIER OF OIL - NARCOmex

New Cartel Threat: U.S. Energy Supply
Posted 09/08/2010 07:03 PM ET
Energy: Mexico's state oil firm, our second-largest foreign supplier, is under attack from drug cartels. But that's not stopping the U.S. from investing more in its operations while American rigs lie idle in the Gulf.
The volatile Middle East is often seen as the nexus of risk to U.S. energy supplies. But the biggest threat may be next door, in Mexico. It's bad enough that oil production there is declining due to underinvestment. But now the state oil monopoly, Pemex, is encountering a threat no one foresaw a few years ago: attacks from the country's notorious criminal cartels.
The Los Angeles Times this week reported that the violent "Los Zetas" cartel has "crippled" production in the Burgos basin in Tamaulipas state, home of Mexico's biggest natural gas fields.
Thirty oil workers and contractors have been kidnapped, including five who were snatched in May and haven't been heard from since. The cartels force workers to collaborate with them to steal energy, which is then sold for cash.
The gunmen also shake information out of workers on security systems and the delicate workings of gas transport so they can hijack production. Natural gas, with its visible pipelines, is particularly vulnerable, but the cartels have begun moving on oil too.
Pemex won't send its inspectors to some of the areas where the cartels have gotten a foothold, and the Times reported the company doesn't want to talk about it.
These acts, from the same people who smuggle drugs and illegal immigrants into the U.S., amount to an attack on the Mexican state. One-third of the national budget comes from energy earnings. A cartel controlling Mexico's substitute for tax revenue effectively can take over the government.
"How is it that Pemex, supposedly the backbone of the nation, can be made to bow down like this?" a relative of a kidnapped oil worker asked the Times.
But this creeping takeover also threatens the U.S. America is committed to Mexican oil, given that it isn't permitted to produce sufficient quantities of energy at home, even with vast resources. About 1.2 million barrels of Mexican crude come to the U.S. each day along with significant gas supplies.
The U.S. has been pitifully dependent on Mexico for its energy supplies for some time, and energy analysts worry about the state of underinvestment in Mexico's state fields. An explosion Tuesday at the country's third-largest refinery did nothing to allay those concerns.
High debt and aging fields are other problems with the nation the U.S. depends on in lieu of its own development.
Conditions are now especially dicey given the Obama administration's May 27 moratorium on offshore drilling. That arbitrary ban, placed by presidential decree in the wake of the BP oil spill, shut down deep-water drilling for U.S. companies that had been operating safely. Rigs affected are either lying idle or beginning to move abroad, leaving the U.S. to buy more oil from foreign suppliers.
That would explain why the U.S. Export-Import Bank has begun shoveling money into Mexican production. On Wednesday, Cybercast News Service reported that the independent government entity loaned $1.05 billion in 2009 to Pemex for four projects that would undoubtedly result in more development. Another billion is slated for loans this year, pending Congress' approval.
The bank itself is quick to say that the cash would go to contracts for American companies, but so what? The fact is, U.S. firms will be working to develop oil and gas fields in a country that has lost control of its security.
Al-Qaida-menaced Saudi Arabia has managed to effectively deal with criminal threats to its oil, but Mexico has not. Developing its resources instead of our own will only create an attractive target for cartels such as Los Zetas.
Making matters worse, Congress is treating U.S. security aid to Mexico, known as the Merida Initiative, as a political football, teasingly offering up cash and then pulling some of it back over alleged human rights violations. That occurred last week, when $26 million in security assistance was yanked from Mexico's $400 million aid package.
It all amounts to a big problem that's getting bigger, but which is being ignored as Washington makes one bad decision after another.
The best solution for the U.S. is to lift the federal deep-water drilling moratorium and find ways to encourage production of viable, proven domestic sources of energy such as oil, gas, coal, shale and nuclear power that in the end will lessen our dependence on nations under attack by criminal cartels.

Obama unveils pro-business “jobs” plan
By Tom Eley
9 September 2010
President Barack Obama’s Wednesday speech on the economy in Cleveland, Ohio was an exercise in deceit and demagogy. Presenting himself as a defender of the middle class against the wealthy, Obama outlined a “jobs plan” based on a series of corporate tax give-aways that have long been championed by the Republican Party. The president made no proposals for direct job creation.
The Cleveland speech is part of a campaign to stave off what are widely predicted to be major losses for the Democrats in the upcoming November elections. It comes on the heels of Obama’s Labor Day speech in Milwaukee and in advance of a Friday press conference on the economy.
Obama’s new plan hinges almost exclusively on tax breaks for corporations, justified with the threadbare claim that the windfalls will convince firms to hire more workers. This ignores, for one thing, the fact that US banks and corporations are already sitting on a cash hoard of over $1 trillion.
By way of defending his opposition to public works programs or other forms of government job creation, Obama offered a bald statement of his subordination to big business. “I’ve never believed that government’s role is to create jobs or prosperity,” he said. “I believe it’s the private sector that must be the main engine of our recovery.”
New give-aways for corporations in his plan include allowing them to deduct from their taxes the full value of new equipment purchases. He also proposed to increase and make permanent a tax credit for corporate research and development.
As for Obama’s proposed $50 billion in funding for transportation development—a tiny fraction of the financial outlay required to repair the nation’s crumbling infrastructure—it would merely extend existing funding that is currently set to expire, while establishing an “infrastructure bank” that would attempt to secure profits for private investors in public projects.
*
(THERE ARE NOW 38 MILLION ILLEGALS HERE WITH MORE COMING OVER OUR OPEN AND UNDEFENDED BORDERS DAILY!... BUT NOT ALL ARE CRIMINALS! SOME ARE JUST PREGNANT AND WANT 18 YEARS OF ANCHOR WELFARE, AND SOME JUST WANT YOUR JOB!)
*
All told, the new economic measures would cost about $180 billion. According to economist Mark Zandi, the program might “a year from now… create tens of thousands of jobs.” As the Washington Post noted, “This would be a drop in the bucket compared with the 7.6 million jobs lost during the recession that began in December 2007.”
Meager as it is, the proposal has virtually no chance of passing, a fact underscored by its cool reception among many congressional Democrats. “Republicans noted that top Democratic leaders and embattled candidates were virtually silent on the proposals,” the Wall Street Journal observed. “House Democratic leadership aides said they did not want to move forward without assurance that the Senate could pass the measures. And Senate aides gave no such promises.”
As always, the Democrats, who hold historically large margins in both houses, claim their hands are tied by Republican opposition. “The only way we can get anything done is with cooperation of Republicans, and that’s been in short supply in recent months,” said Jim Manley, spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
What Obama presented as the main difference between the White House and congressional Republicans—whether or not to extend Bush administration tax cuts for the wealthy set to expire in January—is also more pretense than reality.
Obama claims to favor continuing the tax breaks only for households that earn less than $200,000 a year for an individual or $250,000 for a couple, about 98 percent of all households. But prominent Democrats, including Reid and former Office of Management and Budget head Peter Orszag, have already signaled their support for an extension of the cuts for the 2 percent with incomes above the cut-off levels as well.
*
(“Cut regulations for special interests” … OBAMA DID THAT FOR HIS BANKSTER DONORS WITH HIS GEITHNER NO REAL BANKSTER REGULATION. BANKSTER CRIMES SOARING, PROFITS SOARING, AND SO ARE FORECLOSURES!..... OBAMA’S CONFESSION: “We saw financial firms and CEOs take in record profits and record bonuses”)
*
In his speech, Obama sought to obscure the Democrats’ share of responsibility for the economic disaster, pinning blame on the “governing philosophy” of the Bush years: “Cut taxes, especially for millionaires and billionaires. Cut regulations for special interests. The idea was that if we had blind faith in the market; if we let corporations play by their own rules; if we left everyone else to fend for themselves, America would grow and prosper.”
“For a time, this idea gave us the illusion of prosperity,” Obama continued. “We saw financial firms and CEOs take in record profits and record bonuses… But while all this was happening, the broader economy was becoming weaker... The wages and incomes of middle-class families kept falling while the cost of everything from tuition to health care kept rising. Folks were forced to put more debt on their credit cards and borrow against homes that many couldn’t afford in the first place. Meanwhile, a failure to pay for two wars and two tax cuts for the wealthy helped turn a record surplus into a record deficit.”
These remarks reveal the Obama administration’s contempt for the intelligence of the public. The White House seems to assume that the American people are suffering from collective amnesia.
The policies of tax cuts for the rich and deregulation have long been bipartisan. They were expanded during the Clinton years.
And they have continued under Obama. One wonders whether Obama and his handlers think the public has forgotten that Obama supported the multi-trillion-dollar bailout of Wall Street under Bush and extended it once he came to power. And that Obama intervened to block legislation that would have imposed modest restrictions on the pay of bank executives, while insisting that government loans to General Motors and Chrysler be made contingent on a 50 percent wage cut for newly hired auto workers.
In its staggering dishonesty, the administration’s public relations campaign on the economy is strikingly similar to its effort during the BP Gulf catastrophe to appear “tough,” even as every step it took had as its overriding concern the protection of oil giant’s profits. Last spring Obama staged a visit to the Gulf, followed by a White House meeting with BP executives and a prime-time press conference to present the $20 billion cleanup fund—set up according to BP’s requirements—as a great boon to workers and small businesses victimized by the company’s negligence and criminality.
Similarly, the White House has stage-managed a series of events this week to package another bonanza for the corporate-financial elite as a lifeline to the “middle class.”
Yet even as Obama attempts to pose as an advocate of jobs and the middle class, the White House has been at pains to refute any notion that the latest proposals constitute a “stimulus,” or that they will significantly add to the deficit.
“I am absolutely committed to fiscal responsibility, which is why I’ve already proposed freezing all discretionary spending unrelated to national security for the next three years,” Obama declared, referring to his long-term budget plan dubbed “A New Era of Responsibility.”
The speech was two-faced throughout. Appealing to elderly voters, he promised to fight “the efforts of some in the other party to privatize Social Security, because as long as I’m president, no one is going to take the retirement savings of a generation of Americans and hand it over to Wall Street.”
But minutes later, Obama signaled to the ruling class that he was preparing, after the elections, to impose harsh cuts in basic entitlement programs such as Medicare and Social Security. “[O]nce the bipartisan fiscal commission finishes its work,” Obama said, “I will spend the next year making the tough choices necessary to further reduce our deficit and lower our debt.”
Obama was referring to his National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, which in December—one month after the elections—is expected to propose a series of “reforms” of Social Security, including reductions in benefits, an increase in the retirement age, and the introduction of private “add-on retirement accounts.” (See “US ruling class prepares attack on Social Security”)
Obama is playing his role in a carefully orchestrated political act. The media incessantly claim that the primary concern animating voters is their fear of “deficit spending,” and that businesses have frozen hiring due to excessive government intervention from the Obama administration. This is counterposed to the Republicans’ central policy goal—the extension of tax breaks for the extremely wealthy and the rejection of any form of assistance to the vast majority of the population.
In reality, both the Democrats and Republicans are committed to making the population foot the full bill for the economic crisis, the bailout of Wall Street, and the cost of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Arrests of illegal immigrant workers have dropped precipitously under President Obama, according to figures released Wednesday. Criminal arrests, administrative arrests, indictments and convictions of illegal immigrants at work sites all fell by more than 50 percent from fiscal 2008 to fiscal 2009.

The figures show that Mr. Obama has made good on his pledge to shift enforcement away from going after illegal immigrant workers themselves - but at the expense of Americans' jobs, said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the Republican who compiled the numbers from the Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE). Mr. Smith, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, said a period of economic turmoil is the wrong time to be cutting enforcement and letting illegal immigrants take jobs that Americans otherwise would hold.

Immigration will be Obama's Waterloo. We now know Obama is a closet leftist radical who has a tin ear when it comes to listening to the American people. Obama has appointed immigration radicals to high positions in his Administration such as Hilda Solis (Secretary of Labor), Senior White House Advisor Celia Munoz (former Sr. Vice President of La Raza), and ICE’s William Hurtt. These actions stand in stark contrast to the clearly expressed will of the vast majority of American people, who want our existing immigration laws enforced, our border brought under control, and no grant of amnesty to millions of law breaking illegal aliens who are wreaking havoc on our society -- and who cost taxpaying Americans a lot of money. The American public will not permit mass amnesty to be granted to illegal aliens -- before or after November. Too many American citizens and legal residents understand the enormous stakes at play (including the very future of this country). Obama sees 12-20 million new voter registration cards – and he does not care if they are submitted by people who have no right to be in our country, whose first act coming here was to break our laws, and who if granted amnesty will literally bankrupt us.
