Barack Obama Praises Courageous Defund the Police Activists as Violent Crime Rates Rise

Still reeling from the left-wing backlash to his recent criticism of “defund the police,” former president Barack Obama (D) appeared on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show on Tuesday where he appeared to strike a conciliatory note by praising the activists behind the movement, calling them courageous and media savvy.

But he also doubled down on his criticism of the actual slogan, saying that it can alienate potential Black Lives Matter allies.

Obama’s laudatory words for “defund the police” activists come as major cities are experiencing soaring crime rates. New York City saw shootings more than double in November, according the an NY Police Department report. For the first 11 months of the year, shootings in the city have risen nearly 96 percent.

In Los Angeles, homicides are up 25 percent from last year so far, while in Chicago, murders and shootings have increased more than 50 percent.

Speaking to host Trevor Noah, Obama sang the praises of BLM activists who have pushed for police departments around the country to be stripped of public funding. Their activism has yielded results in a handful of major cities, including New York, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis, where Democrat politicians have deprived local law enforcement of tens of millions of dollars.

“Nothing made me more optimistic during a difficult year than the activism that we saw in the wake of George Floyd’s murder,” Obama said.

“I have consistently believed that their courage, activisms, media savvy, strategic resolve far exceeds anything I could’ve done at their age and I think has shifted the conversation in ways I would not have even imagined a couple of years ago.”

Watch below:

He cautioned that the slogan has the potential to backfire.

“That particular slogan I think the concern is that there may be potential allies out there that you’d lose. And the issue always is: how do you get enough people to support your cause that you can actually institutionalize it and translate it into laws,” Obama said.

He said that more universal slogans like President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” and his own “Yes We Can” serve better to unite people.

“Can we be precise with our language enough that people who might be persuaded around that particular issue to make a particular change that gets a particular result that we want. What’s the best way for us to describe that?”

Democrats lashed out at Obama earlier this month when he first spoke out against the “defund the police” slogan during an interview with Peter Hamby on an episode of “Good Luck America.”

As Breitbart News reported,  Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) fired back at the former president on Twitter, writing, “We lose people in the hands of police. It’s not a slogan but a policy demand.”  Democrat congresswoman-elect Cori Bush, who will represent Missouri’s First Congressional District, also lashed out at Obama: “With all due respect, Mr. President — let’s talk about losing people.”

JOE BIDEN SUCKS OFF THE BRIBES

Senate Republicans have pledged to continue investigating the matter once the new Congress opens session in January. Of particular interest for some congressional watchdogs are allegations, first reported by Breitbart News in October, that a top official from a Chinese energy firm offered to provide the Biden “family” a $5 million non-secured, forgivable loan.

The Biden family is notorious for being the crookedest clan not only in Delaware, but in D.C. DANIEL GREENFILED, FELLOW, SHILLMAN JOURNALISM, FREEDOM CENTER

The Hunter Biden laptop unrolls two ragged threads. One is the descent of Joe Biden’s son into new depths of depravity and the other are the foreign investors who bought into Joe Biden Inc.

If they can buy an election for Biden, the theory is, they can buy it for anyone.

Oligarchies always have lots of money even when workers go hungry and lose their homes. And they get that money by seizing the centers of power and consuming the wealth of nations.

Oblivious Biden

What kind of man must Joe Biden be to accept being illegitimately put into the Oval Office?

We’ve all seen the clips.  Nearly every recent Joe Biden public appearance has been an embarrassment.  The media called his garbled statements 'gaffes,' as if they were innocent, harmless mistakes, but many have suggested far worse age-related cognitive failures.  We experienced embarrassment with him, and pitied a man clearly past his prime.  What seemed most prominent about Joe Biden, other than his mental decline, was his obsession with one singular goal -- to be president of the United States.

He first ran for president in the 1988 presidential election.  He didn’t last until the first primary, being forced to drop out when caught in multiple lies about his background, his upbringing, his academic record, and for plagiarizing other politicians.  Twenty years later, he ran again in the 2008 presidential election, but dropped out after coming in fifth in the Iowa caucuses, with less than 1% of the vote.  He was later chosen as Barack Obama’s running mate.

After eight years of office there, and four years out, he announced his run in the 2020 presidential election, where his plagiarism problem came up again as some of his policy positions were lifted verbatim from other organizations.  The blame was immediately deflected to his staff, and the scandal seemed not to touch him.

For most politicians, such scandals end careers, but Joe Biden outlasted the scandals, and remained in office for more than four decades, really only rising above the noise on three occasions.

The first was as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee during the Clarence Thomas Supreme Court confirmation hearings, where he conducted what Thomas called “a high tech lynching” of a black man who dared to be a conservative.  Thomas was still confirmed, though, and remains on the court today.

The second time was as Barack Obama’s vice president, where little was heard from him, but much has since surfaced about family conflicts of interest during that period, including illicit family business relationships with several adversary foreign countries.

Third, and finally, is the present day.  While the election is still contested, and more evidence of widespread Democrat fraud surfaces daily, Biden speaks and behaves as if he were the clear and universally accepted victor.

Looking back, one may ask, ‘Why didn’t Biden run in 2016 as the heir-apparent after eight years as vice president?’  He claims it was due to the death of his son, but here's the far more likely answer:  Because Obama lacked confidence in him.

Obama said of Hillary, in 2016:  "I don't think there's ever been someone so qualified to hold this office."

When Biden announced his 2020 run, Obama reportedly told him, “You don’t have to do this, Joe, you really don’t.”

During the campaign, Obama said of Biden, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.”  In reference to a connection to the Democrat electorate, Obama said, “And you know who really doesn’t have it?  Joe Biden.”

Obama’s own Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, wrote in his 2014 memoir, while Obama and Biden were still in office, that Joe Biden “has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.”

Ben Rhodes, Obama’s former deputy national security adviser, wrote, "...in the Situation Room, Biden could be something of an unguided missile.”

The picture is getting clearer as to the kind of man Joe Biden is, from those who worked closest with him.

But there’s more.

In 1972, only weeks after Biden’s first election to the Senate, Neilia and Naomi Biden were tragically killed in a collision with a tractor trailer.  His sons, Beau and Hunter, were both seriously injured and hospitalized.  Neilia was Joe Biden’s first wife, and Naomi his 13-month old daughter.  During a public appearance in 2007, Biden told his audience, “A tractor-trailer, a guy who allegedly — and I never pursued it — drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family and killed my wife instantly and killed my daughter instantly and hospitalized my two sons …”  He had also told the story in 2001.

The truck driver was Curtis C. Dunn, and he was not drunk.  In 2008, Delaware Superior Court Judge, Jerome O. Herlihy, who oversaw the police investigation as chief prosecutor, recalled that Mrs. Biden drove into the path of Dunn’s tractor-trailer, and he did all he could to avoid hitting the car, including overturning his truck and trailer.  Following the collision, Dunn ran to the car and was the first to render aid.  He remained traumatized by the accident, and the media’s repeated retelling of it, for 27 years, until his death in 1999.

In 2008, Dunn’s daughter, Pamela Hamill, said she had had enough of Joe Biden’s lies about her father, and demanded an apology.  “I just burst into tears,” Hamill said.  “The story already is tragic enough.  Why did he have to sensationalize it by saying my father was drunk?  My family is outraged.”

Hamill told Politico in 2019 that Biden did apologize in 2009, a full ten years too late for the man he had wrongfully and repeatedly publicly humiliated.

In 1977, Joe married Jill after her first marriage had broken up.  They met on a blind date in 1975.  That’s the romantic story they tell, but her first husband, Bill Stevenson, tells it differently.  He says he and Jill had helped on Biden’s first campaign in 1972, and that he first suspected they were having an affair in 1974.  "Then one of her best friends told me she thought Joe and Jill were getting a little too close.  I was surprised that she came to me.”  Soon afterward, he discovered the truth.  Today, Stevenson says, “Joe Biden stole Jill from me.”

It’s clear Joe Biden is not the type whose intelligence, competence, or mastery of even a single topic has ever been a point of envy.  Those he worked with have not thought highly of him, and the few times he has risen into the spotlight, he has failed to accomplish anything of note on his own accord.  Without the coattails of another, namely Barack Obama, Joe Biden would have vanished from public life over a decade ago.  Had it not been for other Democrats sabotaging Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democrat primary, Biden would have certainly fallen away early.  If he hadn’t sold his soul to the socialist and progressive wings of their fractured party to get support, the Democrats couldn’t have manufactured enough votes to save him.

There is one certainty about Joe Biden, and Barack Obama capitalized upon it.  So did China.  So did Ukraine.  So did Iraq.  So did Kazakhstan, and others.  One thing he has proven time and time again is that he’s for sale.  He will take the position and use his elected powers to implement the policy most beneficial to Joe Biden and his family.  Remember the flip-flopping fracking fiasco?  He is a piece of moldable flesh, a useful idiot, who will do what he’s told and paid to do.  His positions change as his handlers change.  He is wholly void of any core beliefs, a single bank of knowledge he could be considered an expert in, the ability to think for himself, or any recognizable moral principles.  His Catholic faith does not even conform to the Catholic Church teachings.

The question is not whether Joe Biden is a liar, it is whether he is a compulsive liar (sees his lies as clearly untrue, but cannot stop himself from telling them; lies out of habit), or a pathological liar (sometimes believe their own lies; plan their lies in advance).  He’s also a serial liar (lies repeatedly over time).  But whatever type, he is undoubtedly a liar.  Proof:  hereherehereherehereherehereherehere, and here.  That’s more than enough.

So back to the original question: What kind of man must Joe Biden be to accept being illegitimately put into the Oval Office?  From his speech on Monday, after the Electoral College vote, I must reiterate everything above, and add one more word:  Oblivious.

Both the Left and Right Have a Biden Problem

Joe Biden will never be my president, period. This election was stolen for him even if he is the only one who does not know it. He is a despicable man who has been one of the most divisive politicians of the last half century. He is a kleptocratic pederast and rapist (forced digital penetration is rape -- ask Tara Reade). In a more just world, he would receive nothing but scorn.

Americans know this election was stolen. And just in case we did not realize how little respect they have for us, Democrats boasted continuously of their millenarian machinations as they absconded with the election for all to see.

Arising every day at the crack of 9 A.M., after Jill Ed. D (the “Ed” stands for Education, not the medical condition.) assists him with his morning ablutions and toiletry, Joe looks in the mirror and sees not just any president, he sees the PresidentThe rest of us, meanwhile, see a man picked by Obama as his vice president because Joe had a reputation as an amiable simpleton and therefore, would be no threat to Barry politically. He knew Biden’s mouth was a yawning chasm of logorrheic gibberish, but Barry knew he could control him by giving him places to collude with and loot from, like China and Ukraine.

Yet, the Democrats never accounted for Joe being a most dangerous of morons: the moron who does not know he is a moron. Their intention was to let him be president for a while, not thinking he would actually believe he was in control.

The left is now faced with Joe Biden, President Select, an addlepated buffoon standing on home plate in an adult diaper absolutely convinced Americans believe he hit a home run.

Biden thinks he is supposed to be in charge, when in reality he should change his name to Xiden to acknowledge the real boss. Believing it is his prerogative, he is checking off the identity politics boxes with retreads from the Clinton and Obama administrations, when the left thought they would get appointees who were more radical.

What’s a criminal political party to do? They were hoping that after his inauguration, they could infect him with COVID and blame his demise on Trump’s mishandling of the pandemic. If the blame does not stick, they can say Trump was right and Biden was too old, cognizant of the fact that in 2024 Trump will be the age Illegitimate Joe is now. Either way, the plan is to ruin his chances in 2024. It is why they are shutting the nation down again. They need the virus to be ascendent for their plot to work.

The world then would get President Harris. I shudder at the thought of the damage she would do to this country.

C’mon man. Here’s the deal, folks: on day one, day one, we get Biden the idiot. If the left figures out how to get rid of Joe, we get President Harris. A woman whose first job was literally a “job” for Willy Brown.

Harris is a piece of work and considerably to the left of Biden (afflicted as he is with the inability to tell his left from his right). The destruction she would wreak upon the nation would be appalling and perhaps irreversible. Her Green Raw Deal alone would cost the nation tens of trillions of dollars and millions of jobs.

The same could be said for Joe, who after all, has claimed to support the same policies that Kamala Harris supports. But she is in control of her faculties and would be much more effective than a doddering fool like Biden.

Those of us on the right should get right with God and pray that Joe keeps the mask on, hires a food taster, and washes his hands regularly while always putting down the lid when he flushes, because we are praying he lives for at least the next two years when we can give the Democrats a shellacking in the midterms like we did to Barry. I look forward to Biden suffering one humiliation after another. He is, after all, a horrible person. And c’mon man, he has literally no accomplishments in almost 50 years of public service. It is not like he is going to get smarter and pick up the task of running the country now. His incompetence is legendary, and he should be every bit as effective as president as he has been at everything else.

The best-case scenario for the nation and the world would be Joe running for reelection against Trump in 2024. But we will probably have to make do with Harris as their candidate -- hopefully running as Joe’s VP seeking the presidency. When she ran against Biden in the primaries, she fought for and received 1% support. Enough said.

The United States of scams, steals, and schmucks

I studied Nihilism in college; it was just another name for an alien world. Like utopia, dystopia, socialism, communism - names for political systems in theory or in places far away.

That was then.

Now we live in a nihilistic universe.

Religion is under attack and disdained. Religious services are out for most; riots, looting, and protests are in. The late Justice Ruth Ginsburg’s body was laid in state, her funeral a high profile gathering.  But those of Orthodox Jews, who deem funerals a sacred group obligation, are forced to be held in secret, and castigated.

Morality is sneered at and trampled. Human traits such as shame and remorse are out. “Good” and “bad” are irrelevant; situational relativity is in. While the Torah exhorts that judges must not favor rich or poor, big city district attorneys and judges increasingly favor the connected rich and the victim poor.

The curtain has been pulled back -- all the institutions are built on pillars of sand. They have crumbled.

It appears that we are governed by people who not only hate half of us but hate the United States more. Our monolithic left wing-run government schools are turning out good little comrades who then go onto universities where freedom of speech is dead, history -- if it is taught at all -- is revisionist, and where it seems, ‘50 ways to hate America’ is a popular major.

Having practiced before great Judges in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks County, Pennsylvania, it is incomprehensible to me to witness the cowardice of the justices elsewhere. Wouldn’t we all have been better off if cases had been heard, litigated, and lost rather than rejected on procedural mumbo jumbo?

Senator Ted Cruz in his book, One Vote Away, discusses key Supreme Court decisions that were passed by one vote. With prescient accuracy, Cruz also describes the composition of the Court prior to Justice Ruth Ginsburg’s death. He details Chief Justice Roberts’s sleight of hand in his abominable Obamacare decision: arguing the mandate was a tax when all along Obama swore it wasn’t. Robert’s didn’t just betray us he betrayed his oath as an attorney swearing to uphold the law and Constitution of the United States. Cruz describes Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh not in the mold of the late Justice Scalia, but closer to the middle alongside Robert. Woe unto us.

We were schmucks[i] for: idolizing the Supreme Court, lionizing the mainstream media and Hollywood, allowing election rules to be subverted, funding Jewish institutions that support a political party that provides a microphone and money to virulent anti-Semites AOC and her squad plus the despicable Georgian Democrat Senate candidates, and sending our kids to colleges and universities that rewrite history and teach that America is not just imperfect but evil.

The proof of election fraud is overwhelming; the proof our institutions have failed us is crushing. We have a country divided by one half condoning violence as a means to an end and the other half that put their faith in institutions that have failed.

The pictures of Joe Biden, the presumptive president-elect, campaigning for the senatorial candidates in Georgia last week in front of a half empty parking lot, should be all the proof one needs that he did not win the election.

America will prevail somehow. She has to. But Joe Biden is not my president.

DALLAS, Georgia — Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) told Breitbart News Tuesday on the campaign bus that Georgia Senate Democrat candidate Jon Ossoff has a huge “liability” with his omission of a payment from a Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-linked company, which may jeopardize Democrats’ chances of taking back the Senate.

Breitbart News reported that Ossoff failed to list a payment that his film company, Insight TWI, received a payment from Hong Kong-based PCCW Media Limited on his financial disclosure. Ossoff later amended his filings to include the payment. The Georgia GOP submitted a complaint to the Senate Ethics Committee regarding the payment. Ossoff’s campaign attributed the payment omission to a “paperwork oversight” caught during a “normal review.”

The campaign later said Ossoff received “around $1,000” from the CCP-linked media company. This conflicts with the Senate filling requirement to disclose payments that are more than $5,000.

Ossoff’s campaign did not respond to Breitbart News’s Ashley Oliver over whether Ossoff had proof of the claimed amount of $1,000.

Perdue told Breitbart News that Ossoff has been hiding the details of his work with the Chinese company from Georgians.

“There’s a lot of controversy about that; he’s not come clean about any of it. You know, he worked for the CCP company, we know that. He hid it from Georgians during the primary; he got caught then filed a document so that he wouldn’t go to jail. There’s a federal document saying that he worked for them, and yet he lied about it later in a debate,” Perdue said.

“I think this goes back two years according to the record, he won’t tell us how much they paid him they won’t tell us what his job was, but I will tell you this that was propaganda company for the CCP. That was owned by the Chinese government,” Perdue said.

He added, “So, he’s got a lot to tell the people of the world, of course, he’s not saying a word about it.”

Perdue charged that Ossoff’s China payment has started becoming a liability for President-elect Joe Biden, which may jeopardize Democrats’ chances of gaining the Senate majority.

He said, “I think Ossoff is becoming a liability for Biden on a couple of fronts. The China one is a huge one, you know. Biden wants the Democrats to have the majority, so he’s telling these guys to back off on defunding the police, back off on China, play defense on that; we think they both ought to come clean about, particularly about Ossoff and his relationship with China.”

Perdue charged that it goes much larger than his China payments; the Georgia conservative labeled Ossoff a “career politician wannabe” who has lived off his father’s largess.

“I mean, he worked for nine years at a company his daddy bought. You know he’s never really done anything in the real world,” he said.

“It just shows you that this kid has never produced a result in his life and never produced one American job in his career, and he’s the only career politician wannabe he hasn’t been elected yet,” Perdue said.

In contrast, Perdue said he has served as a political outsider, who grew up on a farm and rose to become a successful businessman.

“You know, I’m an outsider in this political process … you know my mom and dad were schoolteachers. We grew up on a farm. We were taught about hard work, and we lived in America,” he said.

“I worked my way through Georgia Tech,” Perdue added.

“When you have a long-term [business] career like that, you sort of develop a perspective really about life and the government role in business, and I believe in limited government, and my opponent believes in bigger government. I believe in economic opportunity for everybody; they believe in socialism.”

Deep State Pushes to Deep-Six Intelligence Report Demonstrating Chinese Interference in 2020 Election

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe is considering not signing an intelligence report to Congress if it does not accurately reflect an ongoing debate among intelligence community career analysts over Chinese attempts to influence American voters in the 2020 election, according to a source familiar with the issue.

The intelligence report on foreign efforts to influence the 2020 election is due to Congress on Friday, but Ratcliffe is concerned it will not accurately reflect the debate among senior intelligence community analysts as to the extent of China’s influence operations during the election, according to the source.

There is allegedly “ample” raw intelligence about China’s intentions and actions related to the election, with more intelligence reporting coming in everyday. Some of the influence operations include social media campaigns seeking to amplify messages such as that President Donald Trump is a white supremacist.

However, senior career analysts disagree on the significance of those influence operations. Some analysts argue that they were minimal or ultimately not acted on, while others say it is extensive and far more than previously known. The disagreement includes whether there should be a China section in the report, according to the source.

Despite this serious debate, Ratcliffe is concerned that proper tradecraft — which would require that the disagreement be reflected in the report with both views represented — will not be followed simply in order to deprive President Trump of a potential political talking point.

In other words, Ratcliffe is concerned that the intelligence report would be written in a way due to politics — the very definition of politicization of intelligence, and only bury real and growing concerns about China from the intelligence community.

A senior national security official told Breitbart News on background:

Good to see Ratcliffe stepping up and addressing the China issue inside the IC. This appears to be a textbook case of intelligence being politicized by a handful of careerists in the bowels of the CIA. They don’t want to give Trump the talking points that China was engaged in election influence operations, but we all know they were.

Ratcliffe has applauded the growing focus among the intelligence community on China, which he said for the last few decades has prioritized counterterrorism. He wrote in an op-ed on December 3 in the Wall Street Journal:

Within intelligence agencies, a healthy debate and shift in thinking is already under way. For the talented intelligence analysts and operators who came up during the Cold War, the Soviet Union and Russia have always been the focus. For others who rose through the ranks at the turn of this century, counterterrorism has been top of mind. But today we must look with clear eyes at the facts in front of us, which make plain that China should be America’s primary national security focus going forward.

The intelligence report would go to Congress in a classified form, but would be released in an unclassified form to the public weeks afterwards, which will certainly fuel public discussion on Chinese election interference, as President-Elect Joe Biden seeks to move past what for many was a contested outcome.

The current IC debate is similar to a debate that was not reflected in the Obama administration 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment, which alleged Russia interfered in the 2016 election to specifically hurt Hillary Clinton and help Trump.

There was fierce debate among intelligence agencies over whether Russia’s goal was to help Trump or just to sow discord, but that debate was not reflected in the ICA, which was then used as a talking point by the left that the Trump campaign and Russia had colluded. After several years and millions of dollars, Special Counsel Robert Mueller found there was no criminal collusion, conspiracy, or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The intelligence report only covers foreign influence operations related to the election, not voter or election fraud or election security.

CATO Shows Joe Biden How to Flood the Labor Market for Wall Street

Joe Biden’s deputies can bypass Congress and use their bureaucratic powers to open the U.S. economy to millions of foreign graduates, blue-collar workers, and chain-migration families, says a legal guidebook posted by the Cato Institute.

“The new administration should go far beyond simply rescinding [President Donald] Trump’s changes and adopt reforms that make legal immigration easier … this compilation fills a gap in the administration’s regulatory agenda,” said an op-ed in TheHill.com by David Bier, a Cato employee.

The guidebook reflects the political shift of big business from the increasingly populist GOP towards the increasingly progressive Democratic Party. The new alliance promises to spike Wall Street with a wave of government-delivered consumers and workers, albeit with minimum wages set by the Democrats.

Bier helped write the December 18 guidebook, titled “Deregulating Legal Immigration: A Blueprint for Agency Action.”

The nation’s immigration law was loosened in 1965 by President Lyndon Johnson, and the annual inflow doubled in 1990 to roughly one million by President George W. Bush. The one million is a huge number in comparison to the four million Americans who turn 18 each year. In fact, wages and salaries have grown very slowly since 1970, even as the stock market has exploded the wealth of Americans with money to invest.

But Cato’s advisers are disappointed by the annual inflow of one million immigrants and the resident population of roughly two million temporary foreign workers. So they are offering Biden’s agency officials numerous options for getting many more millions of taxpayer-aided migrants into U.S. jobs, shopping malls, and apartment rentals.

For example, the one million annual limit means that many would-be immigrants — including most chain-migration family members — are forced to wait years in line to migrate into the United States’ labor market, communities, and schools.

Cato responds by suggesting the federal agencies let them in as not-quite-immigrants:

What about the 3.5 million immigrants who are waiting abroad? [immigration lawyer Cyrus] Mehta [says] the administration should “parole” — the legal term for waiving restrictions on entry — the backlog of family and employment applicants waiting in other countries. This would allow them to reunite with family and start working for U.S. companies immediately under a well-known legal authority.

The resulting inflow of migrants would boost consumer sales, raise real estate prices, cut wages, and spike profits — all of which would be good news for investors, but not Americans.

That good for Cato’s donors and board members, who include current and former principals and partners at MQS ManagementCenterview Capital HoldingsE*Trade FinancialJP Weigand & Sons, Inc., and Susquehanna International Group, LLP.

Cato’s 99o form for 2019 lists several individual donations, including three $1 million donations, one $3.6 million donations, one $1.99 million donations, as well as donations of $700,000 and $900,000.

But a wide range of politicians, business leaders, and academics admit any infusion of new labor suppresses salaries for American white-collars and blue-collars. In 2019, median family household income jumped by 7.3 percent from March 2018 to March 2019 in President Donald Trump’s popular l0wer-immigration economy, even as salaries for college graduates fell by two percent from 2016 to 2019.

But amid the current large inflow of foreign college-graduate workers, the median or midpoint income of American college graduates fell by two percent from 2016 to 2019, according to a survey released in September by the Federal Reserve banking system.

Several of the Cato proposals sketch ways employers could import hundreds of thousands of compliant foreign graduates instead of hiring outspoken American professionals.

Greg Siskind, an immigration lawyer for healthcare employers, says that the agencies “should add nurses, physicians, and other health science professionals to the list of occupations eligible for a 24‐month employment authorization extension under Optional Practical Training (OPT).”

The OPT program is now used by roughly 400,000 foreign graduates of U.S. colleges to get work permits lasting up to three years. There are no caps or barriers for foreigners to get OPT work permits, so Siskind’s plan would cut young American doctors, nurses, and therapists from starter jobs.

In fact, said Bier, the Department of Homeland Security “should issue OPT [work permit] extensions to every international student sponsored for a green card.” Again, there would are no limits to this workaround because companies already nominate many supposedly temporary foreign contract workers so they can stay and work until they get green cards, years or decades later. This green card workforce now consists of at least one million foreign graduates, including roughly 600,000 temporary workers working for many years while waiting for green cards.

Congress did not create the OPT program. It was invented by officials working for President George W. Bush. The entire program rests on a claim that Section 1324a of federal law allows the president’s Attorney General to award work permits to whomever he or she wishes and exempt the employers of those foreigners from Social Security taxes.

Many visa workers bring their wives or husbands to the United States, and they should get work permits too, says Cato. The United States Citizens and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency “has denied jobs to all other spouses and children of temporary workers not specifically authorized by Congress. It makes little sense to have foreigners residing in the United States under programs designed to enhance economic growth but who are banned from working. For that reason, USCIS should authorize all spouses and children of foreign workers to work.”

That practice would be great for companies because they could import two or more workers with one visa.

Migrants should be allowed to import millions of their own relatives if they are relabelled as refugees, says Cato:

The president should classify all beneficiaries of approved family‐sponsored immigrant visa petitions as those of “special humanitarian concern” and allot refugee numbers equal to the number of qualifying applicants. The State Department should establish a fee to accept refugee applications directly at consulates from beneficiaries of approved family‐sponsored immigrant visa petitions …

If they are approved, the refugees would be “resettled” by their relative, not through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, without government funds just as they would have been had they received immigrant visas.

Companies should also be allowed to import their own workers — as refugees — if Americans demand excessive wages, according to Cato:

U.S. sponsors—organizations as well as individuals—should be allowed to submit sponsorship applications directly to the State Department. They would be required to present evidence of the refugee’s status, provide a resettlement plan showing where the refugees will live for the first year after arrival, and pay a fee to cover the costs of resettlement for the first year.

Overall, open-ended legal migration is praised by business and progressives partly because migrants’ arrivals help transfer wealth from wage-earners to stockholders.

Migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.

Migration also allows investors and CEOs to skimp on labor-saving technology, sideline U.S. minorities, ignore disabled peopleexploit stoop labor in the fields, short-change labor in the cities, impose tight control and pay cuts on American professionals, corral technological innovation by minimizing the employment of American grads, undermine labor rights, and even get many progressive journalists to cheerlead for Wall Street’s priorities.

Mike Lee’s S.386 Giveaway Bill Exposes India vs. Asia Fights

Indian-origin lobbyists are rallying India’s many

visa workers to pressure Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) to

remove his China-related amendment from Sen.

Mike Lee’s S.386 green card giveaway bill.

“Please act IMMEDIATELY and with utmost URGENCY. We need this email to go out in LARGE numbers & for there to be a LOT of calls,” said a Facebook message from Immigration Voice, a group which has organized a very aggressive series of street protests against GOP and Democratic legislators.

The message also included a veiled threat to restart the harassment of U.S. politicians who do not pressure Scott:

We will view this as a direct intent to permanently maintain an Indian Exclusion Act in the United States, and will act accordingly in our interactions with all of our local representatives. The time has come to end our suffering and pass our bill, not to give in to every cynical attempt to block our bill from passing.

The language inserted by Sen. Scott curbs the award of green cards to Chinese migrants who remain connected with China’s Communist Party.

However, the China bar is a relatively minor feature of the disagreement over the bill.

Lee’s Senate S.386 bill and the similar House’s HR.1044 legislation, pushed by Rep. Zoe Lofgren, )D-CA), would dramatically shift the nation’s employment-based immigration system in favor of Silicon Valley’s Indian workforces. Both bills would also dramatically raise the incentive for another wave of Indian graduates to take jobs from U.S. graduates in the United States. The labor inflow would also cut wages for many other American graduates in many careers.

Already, hundreds of thousands of foreign graduates get jobs each year in the United States via the uncapped Optional Practical Training (OPT) program. The OPT program offers foreigners a long, lower-wage path to the huge prize of green cards and citizenship, so creating a massive Green Card Workforce for employers.

The China bar has become the public focus of closed-door negotiations over the legislation, in part because no GOP or Democratic legislator wants to publicly defend the economic interests of U.S. graduates, many of whom have lost wages or jobs in the last year.

The politicians’ silence — and the media complicity help hide the tech sector’s lobbying campaign for the Lee bill.

President Donald Trump has not commented on the legislation, partly because some of his aides support it. But if the legislation is included in the year-end omnibus spending legislation, the Silicon Valley giveaway will end up being the only immigration law that Congress allowed him to sign, despite steep GOP losses among college graduates during the 2020 election.

The “Employment Based” portion of the nation’s immigration system provides green cards to roughly 140,000 employees (and spouses) of American companies each year. Overall, the legal immigration system brings in one million people each year, just as four million Americans leave school to look for decent jobs, homes, and families.

The closed-door, multi-cornered standoff is centered on Lee’s S.386 and Lofgren’s HR.1044 bills.

Lofgren usually champions the interest of immigration lawyers and Silicon Valley companies. But her ability to push her HR.1044 bill into the year-end legislation is complicated by Rep. Judy Chu, (D-Ca.), who champions the interest of Chinese-Americans. Chu opposes Scott’s China provision in Lee’s bill.

Lee’s bill includes the China provision because of a deal Lee made with Scott to get the bill through the Senate on December 2.

Scott opposed the Lee bill because it would largely bar Florida employers from getting green cards for their immigrant employees, who tend to come from Spanish-speaking countries south of the border or from the Caribbean.

In his deal with Lee, Scott also got Lee to agree to reserve some green cards for migrants who are not part of the one million-strong H-1B program that is widely used by Silicon Valley employers to exclude American graduates from good jobs.

Lee’s bill also includes some modest reforms of the H-1B program that were included under a prior deal with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA). Those Grassley reforms are inadequate to suppress the wide-scale jobs-for-sale corruption in the visa-worker sector, say reformers.

Grassley’s weak H-1B reforms are also opposed by Lofgren, according to a Hill source.

Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) supported Grassley’s H-1B reforms as part of his effort to expand immigration.

Major U.S. companies, including Microsoft and Google, lobbied to include the green card giveaway in the year-end legislation. If their campaign fails, advocates will have to start the entire process over again. The delay raises the modest chance that the establishment media will explain the fight.

So far, the media has remained passive throughout 2019 and 2020.

The push to include the Lee and Lofgren giveaways in the year-end legislation has also created a split among the ethnic groups and the employers’ lawyers who help import different groups of foreign workers.

For example, the Immigration Voice group says Scott’s bar on Chinese green cards is a mere symbolism and should be ignored by Chu and other legislators:

Although Immigration Voice did not ask for this provision, it is important to note that this provision is not a “Chinese Exclusion Act.” It is instead a bar of inadmissibility for green cards for people who are unwilling to un-affiliate themselves from the Chinese Communist Party or Military at the moment they are actually seeking to become immigrants to the United States and adopt American values. That is not a ban in any rational sense of the word. By contrast, the current law is, in 100% fact, an “Indian Exclusion Act.” This is because any Indian who applies for an employment-based green card will have to wait over 150 years for a green card, meaning they are 100% likely to die before ever receiving their green card.

Asian groups say the Lee and Lofgren bill will favor India’s mid-skill workers and exclude many high-skill graduates at U.S. universities.

Despite the Indian group’s claim of an “Indian Exclusion Act, at least 14,000 Indian workers and family members get green cards each year. Some get visas in a few years, but many run-of-the-mill Indians must work while waiting more than 10 years, in part, because coastal investors have jammed roughly mid-skill 400,000 Indian employees into the line for green cards. In general, industry executives hire cheap and compliant Indians because they try to exclude innovative American professionals who will likely quit to create rival products.

In October, the Immigration Voice group slammed Scott for supposedly helping China.

The Immigration Voice demand is backed up by another group of India’s lobbies, including roughly six rival groups from India’s ethnically distinct Telangana region.

Immigration lawyer Greg Siskind, however, says Scott’s curbs on Chinese green cards is a real issue:

Siskind specializes in importing medical professionals for the healthcare sector, as the sector tries to replicate Silicon Valley’s pipeline of foreign workers.

The Lee and Lofgren legislation is also opposed by lawyers who help import sports players, Spanish-speaking migrants, and other non-Indian migrants who would be forced to wait behind the vast population of Indian tech workers and their spouses.

The Lee and Lofgren bills are opposed by many other groups, including ethnic groups and high-skill postgraduate students at major U.S. research universities. If the giveaway bill passes, the industries and ethnic groups that lose out will likely unite to pressure the GOP to approve more green cards in 2021.

Mike Lee: GOP Doesn’t Want Coronavirus Relief Money to Be ‘Gigantic Bucket of Slush Funds’

1:37

Friday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) provided some insight on the ongoing coronavirus relief negotiations.

Lee said Congress expects to negotiate through the weekend and possibly into early next week to reach a deal. He added that Republicans are working to ensure the funds “don’t just become a gigantic bucket of slush funds” for the Joe Biden administration to have access to an endless amount of money.

“We are told that it will spill over in through the weekend,” Lee advised. “We are told that we need to expect to be here through the week, not just into it. We are buckling down to be here all weekend and perhaps into early next week.”

“Looks like you might be doubling the number of checks. I think that Senator Hawley and — believe it or not — Bernie Sanders are pushing to get a bigger stimulus check to people in this. Also, Senator Toomey is making sure that the faucet is shut off should Joe Biden become president, and they want to make sure that it just doesn’t become the fed just giving the … Biden administration an endless array of cash,” co-host Brian Kilmeade pointed out.

“Yes, and Senator Toomey has done fantastic work in this regard to make sure that these 13(3) funds don’t just become a gigantic bucket of slush funds to be used in whatever manner the Biden administration might want to use them for,” Lee replied. “I think he has done an outstanding job with that, and he needs to be congratulated.”

As this won't be done all at once, Biden will do his best to try to hide the politically explosive consequences from public view. The new administration will likely fail to mask the fallout of Biden's immigration pledges, but he has the Top Men in the anti-borders brain trust working on the problem.

What matters, Joe Biden wants you to know is that this is a democracy, always has been, always will be and by electing Biden and the small secretive group of billionaires who choreograph his every move, this country has become even more democratic, small seat, democratic, of course. And that’s reassuring to hear honestly because some of us were starting to get other impressions, non-democratic ones.

Pretty much the same way retired hedge fund operator, Tom Styer gets to tell you what to think about the weather, or how 78-year-old Mike Bloomberg decides which guns you can buy, or how George Soros can choose your prosecutors or how Tim Cook of Apple runs our trade policy, or how Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook can keep America’s borders open just because he feels like it, but nobody says anything because his friend, fellow billionaire, Jeff Bezos owns Washington, D.C.’s hometown newspaper, and may soon buy CNN. TUCKER CARLSON

Never Trump Bill Kristol Offers to Help Joe Biden Win Amnesty

Former Republican foreign-policy hawk and Never Trump die-hard Bill Kristol told Politico that he wants to help Democrats win a Capitol Hill battle over immigration.

“Never-Trump Republicans are a small but potentially important part of the overall Biden governing coalition,” Kristol said in December 17 article.

If Biden tries to pass an immigration bill, for instance, they could help by touting provisions popular with Republicans and moderates.

“It could be ads. It could be private meetings. It could be talking to business leaders or to … members of Congress,” he said. “Never-Trumpers can help the Biden administration govern successfully.”

President-elect Joe Biden has announced he wants an amnesty for the population of at least 11 million illegal aliens. Once amnestied, the vast majority of the illegal aliens will vote for big-government Democrats — and against Kristol’s goals of an aggressive foreign policy and high military spending.

Yet Kristol and his backers have a long history of supporting mass migration, supposedly to help boost the United States’ military clout.

In November 2018, Kristol posted a cheap labor plan for his New Center think tank: “Unauthorized immigrants living the U.S. should be brought out of the shadows.”

Kristol’s report also suggested that employers be allowed to freely import workers, just as President George W. Bush sought with his 2004 “Any Willing Worker” plan that would have washed away Americans’ ability to bargain for higher wages:

Immigrants can currently obtain only permanent and temporary visas, with employers often forced to fill long-term positions with temporary workers who are really de facto permanent residents. A new provisional visa would align with current economic needs by creating visas for immigrants of all skill levels who have offers of employment. The provisional visa program would increase these employees’ freedom by not tying them to their employers, and would enable them to eventually transition to lawful permanent residence. Provisional immigrants would be sponsored for threeyear visas, but could change their employer after one year. They could apply for a second three-year visa, and afterward, could adjust to lawful permanent residence.

In February 2017, Kristol, then the editor-at-large of the now-defunct Weekly Standard magazine, deemed Americans to be disposable and declared that population replacement would be best for national power:

Look, to be totally honest, if things are so bad as you say with the white working class, don’t you want to get new Americans in?  [I hope] this thing isn’t being videotaped or ever shown anywhere. Whatever tiny, pathetic future I have is going to totally collapse. You can make a case that America has been great because every — I think John Adams said this — basically if you are in free society, a capitalist society, after two or three generations of hard work everyone becomes kind of decadent, lazy, spoiled — whatever. Then, luckily, you have these waves of people coming in from Italy, Ireland, Russia, and now Mexico.

During the campaign, Biden promised an amnesty, more skilled white-collar workers for the Fortune 500, plus more refugees to fill out low-wage jobs at retail stores and meatpacking plants.

If implemented, these pro-corporate labor policies will prove extremely unpopular among voters, according to numerous polls.

In 2020, President Donald Trump increased his vote total by offering a better deal for the back row, non-elite Americans — including whites, Latinos, and blacks — partly by reducing the inflow of blue-collar migrants. Those policies helped raise household media income by seven percent in 2019.

Jobless Claims Unexpectedly Jump Higher Again

New weekly jobless claims jumped to 885,000 in the week that ended December 12, the Department of Labor said Thursday.

The prior week’s initial claims number was revised up to 862,000 from the initial estimate of 853,000.

Economists had forecast a decline in claims to 806,000, according to Econoday.

Jobless claims can be volatile week to week so many economists prefer to look at the four-week average. This rose to 812,500 from 778,225.

Jobless claims—which are a proxy for layoffs—remain at extremely high levels. Prior to the pandemic, the highest level of claims was 695,000 hit in October of 1982. In March of 2009, at the depths of the financial crisis recession, jobless claims peaked at 665,000.

Even when the economy is creating a lot of demand for workers, many businesses will shed employees as they adjust to market conditions. But in a high-pressure labor market, those employees quickly find jobs and many never show up on the employment rolls. What appears to be happening now is that many workers who lose their jobs cannot quickly find replacement work and are forced to apply for benefits.

Claims hit a record 6.87 million for the week of March 27, more than ten times the previous record. Through spring and early summer, each subsequent week had seen claims decline. But in late July, the labor market appeared to stall and claims hovered around one million throughout August, a level so high it was never recorded before the pandemic struck. Claims moved down again in September and hade made slow, if steady, progress until the election.

New restrictions on businesses aimed at stemming the resurgence of coronavirus are likely contributing to layoffs now. Some states and cities have imposed new curfews and discouraged people from leaving home for non-essential reasons. Businesses faced with this suppressed demand will likely be forced to cut their payrolls to reflect lower sales.

The monthly jobs report released on the first Friday of December showed that hiring had slowed in November. Some sectors hardest hit by limits on capacity and social distancing, including restaurants, pared down their payrolls. Retailers expanded their payrolls by hundreds of thousands of workers to prepare for the holiday shopping season. But because they hired fewer workers than Department of Labor economists expected, this showed up as a contraction in the seasonally adjusted figures. Some of the traditional retail jobs also appear to have migrated into shipping and warehousing as shoppers moved online.

Continuing claims, those made after the first filing for benefits, get reported with a week’s lag from initial claims. For the week ended December 5, continuing claims fell 273,000 to 5,508,000. The four-week average of continuing claims was 5,726,250, a decrease of 215,500 from the previous week.

In addition to regular state unemployment benefits, the federal government this spring launched two new programs aimed at delivering benefits to workers who ordinarily would not qualify, including gig workers and the self-employed.  During the week ending November 28, 51 states reported 9,244,556 continued weekly claims for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance benefits and 51 states reported 4,801,408 continued claims for Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation benefits.

The total number of continued weeks claimed for benefits in all programs for the week ending November 28 was 20,646,779, an increase of 1,603,281 from the previous week. There were 1,782,260 weekly claims filed for benefits in all programs in the comparable week in 2019.

The highest unemployment rates in the week ending November 28 were in California (7.0), New Mexico (6.7), Alaska (6.6), Hawaii (6.5), Nevada (6.1), Illinois (5.6), Puerto Rico (5.6), Pennsylvania (5.5), Massachusetts (5.4), and the Virgin Islands (5.4).

The biggest increases in initial claims were in California (+48,341), Illinois (+33,485), Texas (+22,729), Pennsylvania (+16,955), and New York (+16,814).
