A Mexican migrant has been sentenced to ten years in prison in Rigby, Idaho, after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter for a fatal crash that killed 22-year-old Broc Stoddard and seriously injured his girlfriend, Hannah Britton.

On Monday, 19-year-old Alonso Hernandez-Garcia was sentenced for causing the August 11, 2023, crash that killed Stoddard and left 24-year-old Britton with serious injuries. At the time of the crash, Garcia had been speeding and crashed head-on with Stoddard and Britton.

Stoddard died at the scene, and Britton was rushed to a hospital in Idaho Falls, where she was treated for multiple serious injuries.

Jonathan Stoddard, Broc’s father, said his son “was robbed of experiencing the joy of marriage to his loving, beautiful and supportive girlfriend Hannah, deprived of becoming a father … cheated out of becoming an uncle.”

“Broc will never know what it is like to be called daddy or grandpa,” Jonathan Stoddard told the court at the sentencing hearing, according to East Idaho News.

Broc Stoddard “was the pillar of his family,” his obituary reads.

“He was a constant source of strength for his mother & he adored his little sister above all else,” the obituary continues. “However, his biggest role was that of a father figure to his younger brother Cole. The deep friendship shared between them welded a brotherly bond that will last throughout the eternities & beyond.”

Authorities said Garcia arrived in the United States from Mexico. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency plans to take Garcia into its custody and have him deported when he is released from prison.

Joe Biden Breaks Public Support for ‘Skilled’ Migration

Voter support for the legal inflow of white-collar, college-graduate migrants has plunged amid President Joe Biden’s mass inflow of more than seven million southern migrants, according to a survey by the Associated Press.

The growing opposition is likely caused by Biden’s accelerating inflow of foreign visa workers for the professional careers sought by millions of Democrat-leaning, white-collar college graduates. For example, the Indian outsourcing firm, Tate Consulting Services, is being sued for firing Americans to help transfer U.S. jobs to cheaper and subordinate Indian migrants, according to a lawsuit described in the March 29 Wall Street Journal.

The huge legal inflow of white-collar migrants into U.S. jobs via the nation’s airports gets little press, partly because progressives, lobbyists, and establishment media outlets prefer to focus Americans’ attention on grateful southern migrants.

The new Associated Press survey showed that just 41 percent of 1,282 Americans see a “major benefit … [from migrant] skilled workers in fields like science and technology.”

That “major benefit” share is down by almost one-third compared to the 59 percent share in 2017:

Among Democrats, the “major benefit” response fell from 71 percent to 52 percent, the poll, which was conducted March 21-25, shows.

Among Republicans, the share fell from 51 percent to 33 percent — or less than the 36 percent who say “Not a benefit at all.”

Overall, the share of Americans who responded “Not a benefit at all” jumped 8 percent in 2017 to 28 percent in 2024.

The 28 percent opponents included roughly one in six Democrats. The Democrat opposition is sharply up from just 4 percent in 2017.

This shift likely creates a Republican’s opportunity to reduce Biden’s huge advantage among college graduates. Many of the graduates would support a candidate who protects them from corporate outsourcing and migration.

In 2016, candidate Donald Trump promised reforms to the H-1B program. He pushed some fixes — including a 2020 suspension of the corruption-ridden programs — but the promised reforms were foiled by covert, investor-backed opposition in his own administration:

The Associated Press survey echoes the data from Rasmussen Reports, which runs a long-term survey of attitudes toward migration. The survey asks likely voters, “Should Congress increase the number of foreign workers taking higher-skill U.S. jobs or does the country already have enough talented people to train and recruit for most of those jobs?”

The March 21 survey of 1,000 likely voters shows that 64 percent oppose importing skilled migrants. Just 23 percent favor importing more workers.

In a December 2019 survey, the respondents split 58 percent opposition to 28 percent support.

Since 1990, the federal government has allowed U.S. companies to import millions of long-term temporary workers for white-collar jobs. Many of the visa workers were allowed to get green cards and stay in their jobs. Many others took their jobs back to India or China when they went home.

Currently, the federal government is providing companies with a “Green Card Workforce” of roughly 1.5 million white-collar visa workers. Many work for low salaries and long hours in the hope of getting green cards and citizenship. The visa workers are imported via the H-1B, OPT, CPT, H4EAD, TN, L-1, and J-1 programs, as well as the B-1/B-2 loophole.

The result is a massive loss of white-collar jobs, white-collar salaries, white-collar cloud in the Fortune 500, and white-collar prosperity and political clout.

Despite the massive damage to the U.S. professional classes and U.S. innovation, this government-boosted white-collar outsourcing has gotten very little publicity from U.S. journalists. The Wall Street Journal report, however, sketched the national trend:

A U.S. visa program for skilled foreign workers has long stoked concerns over American workers losing their jobs to lower-paid foreigners. Now a group of experienced American professionals is accusing an Indian outsourcing giant of firing them on short notice and filling many of their roles with workers from India on H1-B visas.

The complaints revive questions about how Indian IT companies use H-1B visas. The visas are designed for skilled foreign workers but have for years led to concerns that Americans are being displaced by cheaper foreign workers with lesser qualifications. Companies apply for visas on behalf of workers and aren’t required to demonstrate that Americans with those skills are unavailable.

The American former TCS employees are Caucasians, Asian-Americans and Hispanic Americans ranging in age from their 40s to their 60s and living in more than a dozen U.S. states. Many have master’s of business administration or other advanced degrees, according to the complaints, which were viewed by The Wall Street Journal.

In December 2022, bipartisan opposition defeated an investor push to dramatically expand the white-collar outsourcing programs that have spiked stock prices while crippling innovation at many U.S. companies, including Twitter, Boeing,  Theranos, and Intel.

The government-incentivized failures have allowed China to seize the technological lead in many critical areas, including 5G telecommunications, by subordinating U.S. professionals’ workplace clout to the investors’ stock-market priorities:

Joe Biden Spikes Immigrant Population to 51.4 Million

The number of migrants in the United States is at a record 51.4 million, up by 6.4 million people since President Joe Biden took office, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.

The data shows one in six people, or 15.5 percent of the U.S. population, arrived via the federal government’s myriad official and unofficial migration paths.

Almost one in five workers was born outside the United States, according to the March 28 report.

CIS reported:

Since President Biden took office in January 2021, the foreign-born population has grown by 6.4 million — larger than the individual populations of 33 states.

If current trends continue, the foreign-born population will reach nearly 60 million and 17.5 percent [one in six] of the U.S. population by the end of a second Biden term — both figures would be without any precedent in American history.

The U.S. population consists of 280 million native-born Americans and 51 million immigrants.

One century ago, voters forced Congress to sharply reduce immigration in 1924. The shutdown lasted 41 years until 1965. The low level of migration helped to spread the wealth created by the industrial economy, so ensuring a wealthy and powerful middle class.

But in 1965, lobbyists persuaded the federal government to reopen the doors and adopt the Cold War’s “Nation of Immigrants” narrative. The government doubled the inflow in 1990 under Republican President George H.W. Bush and then re-doubled the inflow in 2021 under President Joe Biden. The result is a bigger national economy — and smaller per-person income.

Most migrants arrive via the government’s many legal migration routes, according to CIS. “Legal immigrants still account for roughly three-fourths of the total foreign-born population,” the report said.’

CIS estimated that Biden has increased the population of illegal immigrants by roughly four million, hitting “14 million in February 2024 [which is] four million larger than in January 2021, when President Biden took office.”

The population of illegal migrants grows as the government fails to stop them coming over the border. But it also shrinks as some illegals go home, die, or win legal status.

Biden’s nation-changing inflow is enabled by the Democratic Party’s powerful combination of big government politicians and activists, the party’s Wall Street donors, and the investors’ astroturf empire of open-border ideological progressives,

The Democrats’ pro-migration political coalition is strongest in major cities.

Many cities rely on a flood of new migrants to replace the millions of Americans who quit the high-crime, high-rent cities for middle-class suburbs, and greener states. On March 18, for example, New York politicians called for taxpayers to fund the immigration lawyers who will bring in their replacements:

Immigration is a boon for New York City’s economy – immigrants are more likely to work, start a business, and contribute billions of dollars into our New York economy in spending power and tax revenue,” said Comptroller Brad Lander“Investing in immigration legal services will bolster New York City’s bottom line by keeping workers in the workforce, getting new arrivals work authorization, keeping families together and providing pathways to upward mobility.

“An international migration Ponzi scheme is the only thing that averts a demographic doom loop for cities like New York and San Francisco,” as Americans flee the Democrats’ huge and badly-run cities, Lind wrote in a September 2023 article for Compact Magazine. He continued:

The rentier cities have come to depend on a constant influx of new immigrants from other countries to replace the immigrants and natives who move out in search of lower prices or higher wages. Low-wage immigrants are welcome as servants for the urban managerial elite, tenants for urban slumlords, clients for public agencies and nonprofits, riders for mass transit, and taxpayers for urban governments.

The immigration policy is very unpopular, but government officials insist they profit by extracting more government clients from poor countries.

“Its clear that even though we welcome refugees and asylees for humanitarian reasons, they bring cultural richness, enhance community vibrancy, and – as we showed in our report – add a net positive economic contribution to the U.S.!,” claimed Miranda Lynch-Smith, a deputy assistant secretary for Human Services policy. “There are so many reasons to do what is right and welcome and assist refugees and asylees,” she said in February 2024.

However, the main drivers of immigration are the nation’s corps of bipartisan investors and CEOs who gain more wealth from the inflow of additional consumers, renters, and workers.

Extraction Migration

Since at least 1990, the federal government has relied on Extraction Migration to grow the economy after allowing investors to move the high-wage manufacturing sector to lower-wage countries.

The migration policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries. The additional workers, consumers, and renters push up stock values by shrinking Americans’ wages, subsidizing low-productivity companies, boosting rents, and spiking real estate prices.

The economic policy has pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors, reduced Americans’ productivity and political clout, slowed high-tech innovation, shrunk trade, crippled civic solidarity, and incentivized government officials and progressives to ignore the rising death rate of discarded Americans.

The policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors and government agencies with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers. Similar policies have damaged citizens in Canada and the United Kingdom.

The colonialism-like policy has damaged small countries and has killed hundreds of Americans and thousands of migrants, including many on the taxpayer-funded jungle trail through the Darien Gap in Panama.

Migrants Apprehended at Northern Border Sector Exceed Last 12 Years Combined

Swanton Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more migrants crossing the Canadian Border into the U.S. this year than in the past twelve years combined, according to the sector chief patrol agent. A recent change in Canadian immigration policies could bring a positive change in this disturbing trend.

“In FY23, SWB caught an unprecedented number of undocumented migrants, surpassing the prior 11 fiscal years combined,” Swanton Sector Chief Patrol Agent Robert Garcia said earlier this month on X. “During the first four months of FY24, SWB has doubled the number of apprehensions made during the same period in FY23.”

Unofficial Border Patrol reports reviewed by Breitbart Texas reveal that Swanton Sector agents apprehended more than 4,000 migrants during the first five months of FY24, which began on October 1, 2023. This is up by more than 100 percent from the same period in record-shattering FY23.

Reporters from WBZ CBS Boston rode along with Swanton Sector agents earlier this month, Garcia posted on X.

“It was a flood we had never seen before. It was an exponential shift, something we were not expecting and it just hit us hard,” Breecher Falls Station Patrol Agent in Charge Erik Lavalee told the reporters. In more than two decades of service to the Border Patrol, Lavalee said he has never experienced this type of migrant surge on the northern border.

The station chief told the reporters that most of the migrants they encounter are not looking to surrender.

“Here, we’re not seeing the same prevalence of individuals requesting either asylum or wanting to be caught,” Lavelle told the reporters. “The people here that we’re seeing for the most part, they’re trying to find that seam. They’re trying to find that vulnerability and come into the United States without detection.”

Part of the cause of the surge was a change in Canadian immigration policies a few years back. The change allowed migrants from many countries, including Mexico, to fly to Canada without obtaining a travel visa. The only requirement was that the migrant obtain a low-cost electronic authorization form.

“For a very minimal fee, they would be able to enter the country as a tourist,” Lavallee explained. “Some folks, utilizing the ETA program, were being arrested here in the United States for illegal entry within 24 hours of their landing in Canada.”

During FY23, Swanton Sector agents apprehended approximately 7,000 migrants who illegally crossed from Canada into Eastern New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire. Of those, more than half, 3,747 came from Mexico and the Central American Northern Triangle countries of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

A recent change in Canadian immigration policies could have some positive impact on the increasing numbers of migrants choosing to enter the U.S. via its northern border. At the end of February, Canadian immigration officials reinstituted an visa requirement for Mexican nationals, CBS reported.

It may be too early to see the impact of this immigration policy change. In the first three weeks of March, the unofficial report reviewed by Breitbart shows Swanton Sector agents apprehended more than 900 migrants. This is more than double the same period one year earlier when agents apprehended just over 400 migrants. The official report will likely be released in mid-April.

“Border Patrol said they have arrested individuals from 66 different countries, including India, Bangladesh, Haiti, and Venezuela,” the CBS report.
