Cruz: Immigration bill, ObamaCare create ‘enormous incentive’ to hire immigrants - The Hill's Floor Action

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) argued Tuesday that because the comprehensive immigration reform bill prohibits immigrant workers from getting ObamaCare benefits, employers will fire U.S. workers and replace them with immigrants.

Cruz said he wanted to offer an amendment to address the “most egregious aspect” of the immigration bill. He said that because employers with more than 50 full-time employees will face a $5,000 penalty for not providing health insurance benefits, those employers would instead hire immigrants with resident provisional immigration (RPI) status instead of U.S. workers.

While the Obama Administration halts deportations to work on its secret amnesty plan, hospitals across the U.S. are getting stuck with the exorbitant tab of medically treating illegal immigrants and some are finally demanding compensation from the federal government.

WILL ASSAULTING AMERICAN WORKERS AND EASING MORE ILLEGALS INTO OUR JOBS BUY THE LA RAZA SUPREMACY VOTE?

Obama and Justice Sotomayor (A LA RAZA PARTY MEMBER) Vow to Illegals to SABOTAGE E-verify!

VIVA LA RAZA SUPREMACY?

Arrests of illegal immigrant workers have dropped precipitously under President Obama, according to figures released Wednesday. Criminal arrests, administrative arrests, indictments and convictions of illegal immigrants at work sites all fell by more than 50 percent from fiscal 2008 to fiscal 2009. REP. LAMAR SMITH

The figures show that Mr. Obama has made good on his pledge to shift enforcement away from going after illegal immigrant workers themselves - but at the expense of Americans' jobs, said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the Republican who compiled the numbers from the Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE). Mr. Smith, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, said a period of economic turmoil is the wrong time to be cutting enforcement and letting illegal immigrants take jobs that Americans otherwise would hold.

MORE OBAMA DREAM ACTS of WELFARE for ILLEGALS?

REP. LAMAR SMITH for PRESIDENT

"We could cut unemployment in half simply by reclaiming the jobs taken by illegal workers," said Representative Lamar Smith of Texas, co-chairman of the Reclaim American Jobs Caucus. "President Obama is on the wrong side of the American people on immigration. The president should support policies that help citizens and legal immigrants find the jobs they need and deserve rather than fail to enforce immigration laws."  REP. LAMAR SMITH

WHO IS OBAMA’S LATEST LA RAZA FASCIST FOR SECRETARY of LABOR?

THE REALITY OF OBAMA’S IN-SOURCING US INTO A THIRD WORLD DUMPSTER THAT WILL KEEP HIS WALL STREET PAYMASTERS HAPPY AND GENEROUS!

"Wage-cutting, speedup and the imposition of sweat shop conditions are at the heart of Obama’s strategy for doubling US exports by 2015. He has repeatedly boasted of his administration’s success in “insourcing” jobs back to the US, omitting to mention that these jobs often pay half their previous wage."

That's right. Lawabiding, uninsured Americans would be fined if they didn't submit to the ObamaCare prescription.

Lawbreaking bordercrossers and deportation fugitives would be spared.

For years, advocates of uncontrolled immigration have argued that illegals aren't getting free health care, and that even if they were, they'd not be draining government budgets. The fiscal crisis in California gives lie to those talking points. In March, the Associated Press reported that Sacramento and Contra Costa counties were slashing staff and closing clinics due to the prohibitive costs of providing nonemergency health services for illegals.

"The general situation there is being faced by nearly every health department across the country, and if not right now, shortly," Robert M. Pestronk of the National Association of County and City Health Officials, told the AP."
