Profiles in Corruption, based on over a year and a half of research by Breitbart News senior contributor and Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President Peter Schweizer and his team of investigators, details the past conduct and little-known ties of several prominent progressive leaders. Those include former Vice President Joe Biden, Mayor Eric Garcetti, and Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Cory Booker (D-NJ), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Sherrod Brown (D-OH).
The revelations in Schweizer’s investigative work are backed by 1,126 endnotes, totaling 83 pages of source material. Some of those revelations include:
Joni Ernst Proposes to Disclose Lawmakers’ PPP Loans, Potential Conflicts of Interest
3:18
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) introduced legislation Monday that would disclose lawmakers’ Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, which she said could reveal lawmakers’ potential conflicts of interest.
Ernst unveiled her legislation after a Politico report found at least four lawmakers — Reps. Roger Williams (R-TX), Vicky Hartzler (R-MO), Susie Lee (D-NV), and Debbie Murcasel Powell (D-FL) — either received a PPP or had a spouse who had received a PPP loan. The PPP program is typically reserved for small businesses to help alleviate the effects of the coronavirus outbreak.
The legislation, otherwise known as the Transparency Requirements Aimed at Congressional Expenditures (TRACE) Act, would mandate that lawmakers, spouses of lawmakers, and congressional employees disclose within 15 days that they have received a PPP loan.
Ernst said in a statement on Monday the American people deserve to know if lawmakers have a potential conflict of interest over the PPP program. She said:
It’s really simple: if you’re a member of Congress and you or a family member benefited from the Paycheck Protection Program, Americans – your constituents – should know. This bill provides greater transparency, which ensures accountability. The PPP has saved countless businesses and the jobs of millions of Americans, but those in Congress who are voting on it—or any issue—where a potential conflict of interest may exist need to be upfront about it. The only reason to oppose this bill is if you have something to hide.
Conservatives and ethics watchdogs lauded Ernst’s bill.
Andrew Lautz, the policy and government affairs manager of the National Taxpayers Union (NTU), said:
Congress has authorized more than $650 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) since March. While PPP has certainly helped many small businesses around the country, taxpayers supporting this program have a right to know where such an extraordinary amount of money is going – especially if the Members of Congress who voted for the program are benefiting from it. The TRACE Act would ensure that the people who represent Americans in Congress, and the people seeking to represent Americans in Congress next year, are required to disclose any benefits from PPP. National Taxpayers Union applauds Senator Ernst for introducing this good-government measure, and we urge Congress to pass it as standalone legislation or as part of the next major COVID-19 legislative package.”
Adam Andrzejewski, the CEO and founder of transparency nonprofit OpentheBooks, said, “Taxpayers must be able to follow the money. If members of Congress vote for subsidies or other aid that they benefit from in their private capacity, then every dime must be disclosed in as real-time as possible.”
“This helps preserve the institutional integrity of Congress,” Andrzejewski added.

Valerie
Biden Owens, the sister of former vice president Joe Biden (D), who served
as the campaign manager for his past presidential campaigns, directed $2.5
million from “Citizens for Biden” and “Biden for President Inc.” to her own
consulting firm during her brother’s 2008 presidential bid alone, Breitbart
senior contributor and Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President
Peter Schweizer’s investigative blockbuster Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by
America’s Progressive Elite reveals.
Biden’s political tenure, as Schweizer’s book extensively
details, has largely remained a complicated family affair, resulting in
little-known financial benefits for not just his son Hunter Biden, but for his
sister Valerie.
Her role as a senior partner in the
political messaging firm Slade White & Company coincided with her
participation in Biden’s various political campaigns. She was only one of two
executives – the other being Joe Slade White – at the firm and has remained the Executive
Vice President for 15 years.
However, the lines between her role
as leading her brother’s political campaigns and working at the firm blurred,
as the firm “received large fees from the Biden campaigns that Valerie was running,” Profiles in Corruption reveals:
The firm received large fees from the Biden campaigns that
Valerie was running. Two and a half million dollars in consulting fees flowed
to her firm from Citizens for Biden and Biden For President Inc. during the
2008 presidential bid alone. Keep in mind that Joe Slade White & Company
worked for Biden campaigns over eighteen years.
The report demonstrates a pattern, as Schweizer’s book shows, of
the complex, albeit largely unknown, dynamics of the Biden family and the financial
benefits reaped, which purportedly stem from the presidential hopeful’s varying
positions in government throughout his life.
“These are not a few disparate
enterprises, but rather moneymaking ventures that appear to be part of a
well-organized family business,” Profiles
in Corruption details.
Biden has previously denied, particularly on the campaign trail,
the allegations that his family members have cashed out in various ways over
the course of his political career.
“I’ve never discussed with my son or my brother, or anyone else
anything having to do with their businesses, period,” Biden told reporters in
August 2019 amid further allegations of his family members using his political
leverage for personal gain.
“As we will see, this is an impossibility, “ Schweizer writes.
The latest revelation, detailing
Valerie’s direction of millions of her brother’s campaign dollars to her
consulting firm, follows the eye-opening discoveries detailed in
Schweizer’s New York Times #1
bestseller Secret Empires,
which effectively “blew the lid off the Biden-Burisma scandal in Ukraine,
wherein Hunter Biden made up to $83,000 a month with Ukrainian energy giant
Burisma as his father led U.S.-Ukraine policy while vice president,” as
Breitbart News detailed.
Profiles in Corruption also exposes “the Biden 5,” detailing how Hunter
Biden’s firms scored business
deals with figures and entities tied to the governments of Russia, China, and
Kazakhstan. It also reveals how Biden’s brothers seemingly benefited from his
political stature. As Schweizer reveals, James Biden’s firm received $1.5 billion in government contracts despite a lack of
experience in the international development industry. Profiles in Corruption also
details Frank Biden’s connection to projects receiving millions in taxpayer loans over the
course of the Obama administration.
Biden will continue to face mounting
questions surrounding the benefits his family reaped as a result of his
political influence as the Iowa caucuses kick off the Democrat primary election
next week. While he is thought by some to be the Democrat party frontrunner,
the RealClearPolitics average shows Sen.
Bernie Sanders (I-VT) slowly closing the gap. The socialist Sanders has
overtaken him in key early state polls over the last week.
Report:
Ilhan Omar Paid over $500,000 to Alleged Lover’s Firm
2 Feb 202010
2:50
The
Washington Free Beacon reported Saturday that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN)’s
congressional campaign paid over $500,000 in 2019 to a firm run by her alleged
boyfriend, political consultant Timothy Mynett.
The Free
Beacon, citing FEC campaign filings,
noted that Omar’s campaign apparently paid the E Street Group $215,000 in
the fourth quarter of 2019, bringing the total paid to the firm to $525,000
last year.
Omar filed
for divorce in October from her husband, Ahmed Hirsi, after reports of the
affair surfaced. Her filing, the Washington
Post reported, did not mention an affair.
But divorce filings from Mynett’s wife did allege an affair, though both Omar and
Mynett denied the allegations, the Post reported.
As
Breitbart News noted in
October, the UK Daily Mail reported last fall that Omar and Mynett
had been spotted together.
Omar’s
marriage to Hirsi was already the subject of controversy. A state ethics board
investigating campaign finance violations found that
Omar had filed taxes jointly in 2014 and 2015 with Hirsi while legally
married to another man, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. She claimed that she married
Hirsi in a religious ceremony in 2002, and the two have children together,
though they never married legally until after she divorced Elmi.
David
Sternberg alleged at the Powerline blog last
year that Elmi is Omar’s brother, and that she was brought to the U.S. as a
refugee by another family, using their surname instead of her own.
Omar is a member of the so-called
“Squad,” a diverse left-wing group of first-term women in Congress that has
clashed both with party leadership and President Donald Trump.
She endorsed Sen.
Bernie Sanders (I-VT) for president last year, declaring that he would fight
against “western imperialism.” She also backs radical boycotts of Israel and
triggered a political crisis last year with several antisemitic comments.

Rep. Ilhan Omar Marries
Fundraiser and Six Figures She Was Paying Him
March 12, 2020
Daniel
Greenfield
Aside from all the obvious brother jokes,
the grift keeps on griftng.
And that denial is now a
non-denial.
Rep. Ilhan Omar’s alleged lover Tim Mynett
has denied bombshell allegations that he left his wife for the Somali-born
representative — accusing wife Beth Mynett in a counterclaim of waging a
campaign to “ruin his career” after he left their unhappy marriage.
The DC political consultant, who has
been working for Omar, denied accusations leveled by his physician wife in her
divorce filing that he was having a love affair with Omar and said he hadn’t
been in a relationship with any other woman during their six-year marriage,
according to the counterclaim filed in DC Superior Court.
Now the two of them are married. And the
union brings together all that sweet
campaign cash.
Democratic representative Ilhan Omar
(Minn.) married her top political consultant, whose firm received more than
half a million dollars from Omar's campaign coffers last year.
Omar denied allegations of an affair with
Tim Mynett, her top campaign consultant, after reports surfaced last
August alleging the two were romantically involved. During this time, cash
flowed freely from Omar's campaign to the E Street Group, a consulting firm
owned by Mynett.
"Got Married! From partners in
politics to life partners, so blessed. Alhamdulillah," the congresswoman
wrote in a Wednesday night Instagram post with a photo of herself and
Mynett.
Throughout 2019, Omar funneled
$525,000 to Mynett's firm for consulting, direct mail, research services,
travel expenses, advertisements, and graphic designs. The payments to Mynett's
firm steadily increased as the year progressed. During the last three months of
2019, Omar's campaign spent $404,000. Mynett's firm received $215,000 of that
amount, more than 50 percent of the campaign's total expenditures.
Charlie Kirk asks, "Taxpayers
funded her campaign Now they're funding her marriage How is this not an FEC
violation?"
Good question.
But you've gotta give Rep. Omar credit.
She's even better at strategic marriages than John Kerry.

IN THE November 2006 election, the voters demanded congressional

ethical behavior of her colleagues. But for many years, Feinstein has been
beset by her own ethical conflict of interest, say congressional ethics
experts.

Everything we know about Hunter Biden's business connections in
China
Alexandra Ma
·
President Donald Trump this week suggested that Hunter Biden had
used his position as then-Vice President Joe Biden's son to secure a $1.5
billion deal with the Chinese state bank for a Chinese private equity company
where he is a board member.
·
There is no evidence to this claim.
·
The $1.5 billion appears to refer to a sum that BHR, the private
equity firm, was trying to raise in 2014 to invest outside China, according to The
Wall Street Journal.
·
But Biden's lawyer said Biden has never profited from his work
at BHR.
·
Here's what we know about Hunter Biden's business dealings in
China.
The global business dealings of Hunter Biden, the son of former
Vice President Joe Biden, have been thrust into the spotlight after President
Donald Trump suggested without evidence that the father and son had engaged in
corruption in Ukraine and China.
Trump on Thursday openly called on
China to
investigate the Bidens, suggesting — without evidence — that
China had given $1.5 billion to a Chinese private equity firm where Hunter
Biden was a board member to secure favorable deals with the US while Joe Biden
was Vice President.
President Trump: "China should start an investigation into
the Bidens because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened
with Ukraine. So, I would say that President Zelensky, if it were me, I would
recommend that they start an investigation into the Bidens." pic.twitter.com/Xia8vLUVT2
Here's what we know about the background of this allegation.
·
Biden
has been a board member at BHR Equity Investment Fund Management Company, a
Chinese state-backed private equity firm, since late 2013, according to The New York
Times and the South China
Morning Post.
·
In
2017, Biden bought 10% of the company for about $420,000, The Times reported.
·
The
$1.5 billion Trump cited on Thursday appears to refer to a sum that BHR was
trying to raise in 2014 to invest outside China, as The Wall Street
Journal reported at the
time.
·
That
sum appeared in "Secret Empires," a book published last year that
criticized Biden's business activities, The Journal
reported.
·
Peter
Schweizer, the author, said BHR "would seal a highly unusual $1.5 billion
deal with funding from the Chinese government" after Biden flew to Beijing
aboard Air Force Two at the time.
·
Trump
has praised the book in the past, The Journal reported.
·
Trump
on Thursday suggested that Biden used his position as the vice president's
son to secure the money from China's state-owned bank, and made millions in the
process, the South China
Morning Post reported.
·
But
Biden's lawyer George Mesires said earlier this week that Biden had never been
paid for sitting on BHR's board, and has not received any payouts from his
investment, according to The Times and The Washington
Post.
·
BHR
has removed all photos of Hunter Biden from its website, the South China
Morning Post reported on Saturday. BBHR has not yet responded to Business
Insider's request for confirmation and comment on the date of the photo's
removal.
Mesires has not yet responded to Business Insider's request for
comment on Biden's current role and responsibility at BHR Partners.

Is Dianne Feinstein out to kill off Kamala Harris's presidential
bid?
Kamala Harris has always
been known for her lean and hungry, pushy, grabby, ambition, which
includes a willingness to sleep her way to the top to
get what she wants. Her political start began as a social mountaineer
with San Francisco's old-money Pacific Heights set dating from her 20s and then just moved
onward and upward.
That's not sitting well
with California's lizardy old-money senior Senator, Dianne Feinstein, who
knows that establishment well.
BLOG: BIDEN AND FEINSTEIN GO WAY BACK WITH THEIR RED CHINA FOR RAW CASH DEALS SIPHONED THROUGH HER HUSBAND AND HIS SON.
According to reports,
Feinstein, the senior senator from the Golden State, will throw a
fundraiser next month for Democratic 2020 presidential frontrunner Joe Biden -- and not for
Harris, another White House contender whose poll numbers suggest she could
probably use some high-profile help.
BLOG: WHAT FEINSTEIN MEANS IS THAT OL' BIDEN IS AS CORRUPT AS
SHE IS ANY DAY!
“My candidate would be
Joe Biden,” Feinstein told CNBC back then. “I watched him as vice president.
I’ve seen him operate. I’ve seen him perform and I think he brings a level of
experience and seniority, which I think is really important.”
The early evening
reception will be the first that Feinstein hosts for Biden in the 2020
election, CNBC reported. Her husband has already participated in several
fundraising events for Biden, who campaigned for Feinstein in 2018, when she was
re-elected by a landslide.
Oh, spare us. Feinstein
knows as well as anyone that old Joe is addled and gaffe-tastic. This is more
likely about putting Kamala back in her place.
Fox News speculated that
this fundraiser among the fatcat donors might just have been payback for
Harris's nasty first-debate attack all but accusing Biden of being a Bull
Conner racist. Remember Harris's phony earnestness in: "That little
girl was me"?
Sure, it's possible.
But it's also been known for close to a year that Feinstein considers
Harris a wretched parvenu who hasn't paid her dues.
Remember this?
“I’m a big fan of Sen.
Harris, and I work with her. But she’s brand-new here, so it takes a little bit
of time to get to know somebody,” Feinstein said of the junior senator, according
to the Los Angeles Times.
Her press secretary told
CNN that Feinstein later added that she certainly likes her California
colleague, saying, “Oh, I love Kamala.”
Translation in a plummy
accent: Do we know her?
Hard to get a better
old-money passive-aggressive remark than that one. People are either known or
unknown in Feinstein's rich circles and it's pretty obvious to Feinstein
that Kamala doesn't cut it.
What's more, Feinstein is
a 'get off my lawn, whippersnappers' non-ideological sort of small-c
conservative, or, as Fox News put it, she pulls rank. Remember this?
Democratic Sen. Dianne
Feinstein pulled rank Friday when a group of kids tried to school her on
climate change.
After the group sought
her support for the Green New Deal, the 85-year-old senior
senator from California let them know she wasn't about to be bossed around by a
bunch of youngsters.
BLOG: THE OLD WHORE FEINSTEIN MADE A VAST FORTUNE SERVING CRIMINAL OPERATIONS LIKE PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC, CRIMINAL BANKSTERS WELLS FARGO AND BANK OF AMERICA AND THE FREAKING PARASITE TRIAL LAWYERS!
“You come in here, and
you say it has to be my way or the highway. I don’t respond to that,” Feinstein
continued. “I’ve gotten elected, I just ran. I was elected by almost a
million-vote plurality. And I know what I’m doing. So you know, maybe people
should listen a little bit.
So just the fundraiser in
Harris's home state of California was a shiv in the side to Kamala.
Why is that?
Well, for one thing, the
Democratic political set widely believes that to win the presidency, one must
win California. Harris is from California, so that stacks things in her
favor.
Now Feinstein is
marshalling money from California Biden's way? So that they give their money to
him and feel 'donor fatigue' when Kamala comes calling?
The matter is compounded
by the fact that the California Democratic campaign fatcats weren't impressed
with Harris's performance in the third debate, as this CNBC report here indicates. Feinstein
knows those people and may very well be egging them toward Biden, or at least
piling on.
Here's another thing:
Money from fatcats over
little-people donations is Kamala's vulnerable spot. The queen of fake Twitter followers is also
highly reliant on big dollar donors over the little
guys, even as the New York Times tries to claim she's changing
that. Well, maybe she is, but if she is, it would be in the infant stage and in
any case, they're taking her word for it. More likely, she still relies on the
big boys, because that's what she knows.
Which would mean that
Feinstein's bid to separate Harris from that cash lifeline is like that of
General Grant at Vicksburg, targeting Confederate supply lines. The California
dinosaur strategizes.
The Feinstein fundraiser,
which will channel and suction big money toward Biden, can't help but come
at a cost to Harris. And Feinstein, right in the middle of the Pacific Heights
crowd, is lobbing her cannon ball where the funds are richest and Kamala's ties
are tightest.
It almost looks like a
concerted chess move to checkmate the upstart. And given the evidence of
Feinstein's antipathy toward Harris, one can't help but think it's all
intentional.
Revealed: Four senators dumped millions in

Four senators dumped millions of dollars
worth of stock while Capitol Hill was being briefed on the threat of
coronavirus but before the markets tanked as infections soared, disclosure
records have revealed.
Republicans
Richard Burr, Kelly Loeffler and James Inhofe and Democrat Dianne Feinstein
collectively offloaded up to $11million in stock between late January and early
February, according to records seen by The Daily Beast, New York Times and ProPublica.
Burr, chair of the Senate Intelligence
Committee that was directly briefed on coronavirus, sold up to $1.7million in
stock including in hotels, according to reporting from ProPublica.
Feinstein, a member of the same
committee, sold up to $6million in stock including in a biotech firm.
Loeffler dumped up to $3.1million in
investments starting on the day the Senate Health Committee, which she sits on,
was briefed by the CDC. Meanwhile James Inhofe sold up to $400,000 in stock
including real estate.
Loeffler and Feinstein have defended
themselves, saying their stocks are invested in trusts and portfolios that they
have no personal control over. Inhofe has not commented.
Burr's spokeswoman said in a statement to
DailyMail.com that Burr filed his financial disclosure form several weeks
before the markets showed 'volatility.'

According
to The Daily Beast, Sen Kelly Loeffler and her husband, Jeffrey
Sprecher, the chairman of the New York Stock Exchange, sold $3.1million in
stock between late January and early February.
The first sale was in the firm Resideo
Technologies worth between $50,001 and $100,000 and made on January 24, the
same day her committee - the Senate Health Committee - held a briefing with the
CDC.
The stock has since halved in value.
During the same period the couple made just
two purchases, one of which was stock in a tele-working company that has seen
an increase in price amid office shutdowns.
Meawnhile Richard Burr, Republican chair of
the Senate Intelligence Committee which was being briefed on coronavirus,
offloaded between $582,029 and $1.56million of his stock holdings in
mid-February.
Burr later went on to warn people at a
meeting in Washington that coronavirus was likely to cause significant
disruption to businesses, even as Donald Trump was playing down the threat.
Dianne Feinstein, a Democratic member of the
same committee, and her husband also sold between $1.5 million and $6
million in stock in California biotech company between late January and
mid-February.
Elsewhere James Inhofe, Republican of
Oklahoma, sold stocks totaling $400,000 on January 27 including shares
in PayPal, Apple and Brookfield Asset Management, a real estate
company.
·
·
ProPublica reported that on February 13 Burr sold of stock
holdings in 29 separate transactions. A week later the stock market
started its downward trend, now losing about a third of its value.
Burr dumped $150,000 worth of shares of
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts stock and $100,000 worth of shares of Extended Stay
America.
The hospitality industry has been one of the
worst shattered in this collapse.
Then, on February 27 Burr gave
well-heeled constituents from the Tar Heel State a dire warning about the kind
of chaos the coronavirus could cause.
The North Carolina
Republican is heard on a secret recording obtained by NPR telling members of the Tar Heel Circle
on February 27 that the coronavirus was 'much more aggressive in its
transmission than anything that we have seen in recent history.'

·
'It is probably more akin to the 1918
pandemic,' Burr told the group, who pay between $500 and $10,000 for membership
of the group, according to NPR's reporting.
In a series of tweets, Burr pushed back and
said he was addressing the membership of the North Carolina State Society. 'The
message I shared with my constituents is the one public health officials urged
all of us to heed as coronavirus spread increased,' he also said.
A spokesman for Feinstein said that all of
her stock holdings are in a blind trust, and that she has no involvement in
financial decisions made by her husband.
The luncheon that was taped was held at the
Capitol Hill Club, a social club for Republicans located steps away from the
Capitol Building.
