MUSLIM MURDER OF CHRISTIANS

'Children and women were not spared': Boko Haram kills at least 81 in hourslong attack on Nigerian village

Dozens of men, women, and children in Nigeria were killed during a brutal attack by Islamic State-affiliated terrorist group Boko Haram.
The attack occurred Tuesday morning in Faduma Kolomdi, a nomadic village located in the northeastern part of the country. One of the survivors said a group of men claiming to be Islamic teachers entered the village and gathered as many residents as they could into one location.
“They gathered us and said they wanted to deliver religious sermon to us. They asked us to submit whatever arm we had. Some villagers gave up their ... guns, bow, and arrows,” the survivor told authorities, according to CNN. “Suddenly, they started shooting at will. Even children and women were not spared, many were shot at close range.”
The survivor said that 49 people have since been buried in the village following the attack, with another 32 bodies being transported to nearby villages for burial. Footage posted on social media from the attack shows bodies strewn across one area of the village, with some lying in close groupings.
Nigeria military spokesman Sagir Musa said in a statement that “a large contingent of military personnel have been drafted in the general area to track and apprehend or neutralize the perpetrators.”
“The Nigerian Army is committed to investigating the circumstances of these callous attacks by desperate Boko Haram criminals and the bandits on innocent civilians,” he said.
Boko Haram has been terrorizing the region for years and has killed thousands and displaced millions of people. The group is perhaps most well-known for its 2014 abduction of 276 schoolgirls.
The Washington Examiner reached out to the State Department for comment.
