EDITOR: BIDEN WILL PICK KAMALA HARRIS. SHE’S AMORAL, SUCKS UP TO THE RICH WHILE
SIMULTANEOUSLY STAGING HER ‘POPULIST’ BULLSHIT.
SHE’S
OWNED BY THE BANKSTERS, LIKE HER COLLEAGUE SEN. DIANNE FEINSTEIN, BARACK OBAMA
AND BIDEN, SHE KNOWS THE BANKS RULED THIS NATION.
AS ATTORNEY GEN OF CA, KAMALA HARRIS MADE SURE THAT NONE OF THE BANKSTERS, INCLUDING THE CRIME WAVE OF WELLS FARGO, WERE EVER PROSECUTED FOR THEIR ECONOMIC CRIMES AND TERRORISM. WELLS FARGO HAS BEEN MIGHTY GENEROUS SINCE. WELLS FARGO IS THE OLD WHORE DIANNE FEINSTEIN’S SECOND BIGGEST CONTRIBUTOR DESPITE THE BANK HAVING TURNED CA INTO MORTGAGE MELTDOWN IN 2008. SHE FRONTED THE BANKSTERS’ ‘BANKRUPTCY REFORM’ SO CONSUMERS COULD NOT RID THEMSELVES OF THE BANKS’S TOXIC FRAUDULENT MORTGAGES ( WELLS FARGO HAD THEIR MORTGAGE LICENSE IN CALIFORNIA REVOKED YEARS AGO FOR FRAUD AND CORPORATE MALFEASANCE).
Joe Biden delays VP pick again: A secret civil war among
Democrats?
After
all that time in the basement, not doing very much, Joe Biden still can't quite
decide who his running mate is going to be.
According
to Breitbart News:
Former Vice President Joe Biden is pushing back his
timeline for announcing a running mate, seeming to signal his campaign has yet
to find an acceptable candidate.
Biden told reporters on Tuesday after delivering an address
on the coronavirus pandemic that his campaign was still evaluating its options.
In late May, he floated the
idea of unveiling his running mate by August 1. When pressed if the
announcement would meet his initial August timeline, Biden backtracked,
claiming his staff was just getting “underway now in the hard vet of going into
the deep background checks” required for each of the prospective candidates.
Yes,
he's addled as a result of his advanced age, and very often doesn't know which
room -- or state -- he's in.
But
more likely, it's that the choices he has are all pretty disgusting.
Every
last one of them is bound to alienate a large portion of his electorate,
driving a lot of them to stay home or heaven forbid, switch to Trump. Biden is
currently leading in the polls, and whoever he picks is bound to splinter that
lead or else nullify it as enthusiasm fizzles.
Who
does he have: Most swampers are now focused on Elizabeth Warren. She's got high
positives among Black voters, higher than even the black candidates who are
supposed to serve as clickbait for black votes, and large parts of the
progressive left are all in for her let's-kill-Wall Street program. She's
famous for her big sweeping programs supposedly to be financed with ease by
'taxing the rich' and refuses to let herself be pinned down by cost. That's got
to be good for attracting leftist voters who view double-entry bookkeeping as
no better than 'cops.' She's also got a big donor base, which to Joe, would be a
priority, given his penchant for getting his family members 'taken care of.'
Why is
she such a bad idea anyway? Well, because Wall Street despises her, and that's
bound to put a damper on donations for old Joe as a result. It also could lead
to moves to thwart her, and him, and Biden knows all about how money politics
moves are played. Worse still she's hopelessly 'white' and not just white
but an affirmative-action cheat who bit and clawed her way to ivy league
teaching positions by posing as a fake Indian. In an age of race-wokeness,
that's not going to go over well with a certain chunk of Democrats. It's also
going to give President Trump a field day. Lastly, she represents Massachusetts.
No extra-bring-alongs from there, Biden already has blue Massachusetts in the
bag.
Second
possibility is Kamala Harris - and on some lists, she's first. She's black,
she's female, she's got a bonus East Indian ancestry, she's very very
left-wing, yet she's also a good marching soldier for the Democratic Party
establishment, which, standing in her pearls and corporate suit, is her
first loyalty. She's a sharp speaker who can rally the left with her anti-Trump
zingers, and she wants the job badly. She's also politically wily, agilely
laying low and saying nice things about Joe in her bid to woo him to pick her,
something that probably amounts to a plus to the team trying to pick a running
mate for Joe.
She's
a practiced suck-up to the more powerful, which should please the
Democrats holding Joe's puppet strings, literally learning at Willie Brown's
knee about how to advance.
But
to a lot of us, even Democrats, that's a lot of what's disgusting. Will
the feminists enjoy telling all the little girls that Harris achieved her
political success by sleeping her way to the top? Or worse still, harboring
a sex-harasser in her office, a creep who used to make the office girls bend
down under his computer to fix various issues, so he could see their underwear,
triggering lawsuits and big payouts, something she claims to know nothing
about, despite her 'leadership' in the office. She doesn't quite fit the
feminist bill with those embarrassing details.
More
problematic still, she's a former prosecutor and state attorney general,
shorthand in woke world for 'cop.' And not just any 'cop' but a verifiably
corrupt one - throwing people in jail for pot offenses while giggling on a
radio show that she too smoked pot. Keeping people in jail even after their sentences
were up in order to have a bank of 'volunteers' to fight California's fires,
which surely wasn't her job to ensure, but ... loyalty to the establishment
first, right? Endorsing despicable alterations to 'confession' transcripts in a
death penalty case by other corrupt district attorneys instead of firing their
keisters and vacating the tainted case. Yelling about defunding the police --
while earlier, traveling around with a Los Angeles Police Department detail
across the state, to every party and gala she went to, a significant misuse of
resources for personal status purposes.
And
lastly, she did very poorly in Iowa and other early primary states. Why?
Because with all her fake laughter and suckey-uppiness, it's likely she came
off as a phony. Voters don't like phonies and they especially don't like them
being behind the scenes presidents, which is what Harris is likely to be.
Finally,
she's not going to bring any added value to the electoral tally -- she's from
California, and California is already in the tank for Biden.
There's
also Rep. Val Demings of Florida, who's also black and seemingly low key, who
doesn't have any major negatives on the national stage, which is a plus for
Joe ... except that it's solely because she is not well known. She's from
Florida, which is a swing state and that may mean winning that important state.
Lot to like about her on those grounds.
She
does have a big negative for Biden, though if he hopes to win woke leftist
votes -- she's a former police chief of Orlando. Democrats don't like cops.
Then
there's Rep. Tammy Duckworth, a Thai-American, which would fill in the
woman-of-color box, and a disabled veteran, with a record of executive
experience, too.
She
has fewer negatives, but would she excite the wokester base, which by the way,
doesn't like military service? She's not all that impressive a public speaker.
Plus, being from Illinois ought to get her associated with the blue-state
hell there, which might turn off moderates, and in any case, won't bring
in anything extra vote wise from her state, since Illinois is already in the
bag for him.
There's
also Rep. Karen Bass of California. She too is black and fills in that
checkmark box. She's an engaging speaker and ambitious, but not in any
obviously lean and hungry way in the manner of Harris. She's woke as heck and a
creature of the Democratic machine establishment.
One
problem: She's made some grotesquely pro-Castro
statements, and Sandalista-style praises of some of the worst economic
disasters in the hemisphere. Good luck swinging Florida with that record, Joe.
There's
also his old buddy, former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, who's also
Black and female, and a comfortable old shoe for Joe, given that she goes
back to the Get Trump salad days of deep state, and unmaskings of Trump officials,
complete with bids to cover up the plotting. She's also comfortable lying on
cue in the name of elections, she did in the aftermath of Benghazi. She's
a good one for Joe, because she knows where all the bodies are buried. And
she's the gateway to bringing back all the Obamatons back into the White House.
How does Secretary of State Ben Rhodes sound?
She's
never been a politician, though, and she's kind of a non-starter in polls.
She'd undoubtedly do anything Joe wants in a future presidency, so why waste
her on the veep slot, which requires bringing in something extra? She can't
deliver.
Every
last one of these candidates, and plenty more -- I left off Stacey Abrams
because the Biden people have already leaked out that they are repelled by her
-- amounts to some kind tokenism, which Black voters aren't too keen on, as
this recent poll from this Washington Examiner piece shows.
Yet
with Biden leading in the polls now, you can bet that there's some fearsome
power moves going on behind the scenes among the Democratic Party's
power-brokers - Team Obama, Team Bernie, the congressional Black Caucus, plus
the Democratic campaign operatives looking to find a way to secure swing voters
-- who have nothing in common with the first three groups. With Joe Biden
addled and isolated, you can bet they're moving like pirates to secure the top
berth to power. Someone's going to be the power behind the throne in a Biden
presidency, since it's not going to be Biden. With high hopes for winning
and huge power to be taken, you can bet it's vicious behind the scenes, a
secret civil war among war lords, that is bound to keep extending until one
gets bit in the neck and drops from the cliff.
It
certainly would explain why Joe's having such a hard time making up his mind as
high campaign season beckons, and it also explains the Democrats' shifting
plans on when and where to hold a convention. They're fighting among themselves
all right, and it's got to be fierce.

AMNESTY AND WIDER OPEN BORDERS TO THE DEM PARTY'S

Is Dianne Feinstein out to kill off Kamala
Harris's presidential bid?
Kamala Harris has always
been known for her lean and hungry, pushy, grabby, ambition, which
includes a willingness to sleep her way to the top to
get what she wants. Her political start began as a social mountaineer
with San Francisco's old-money Pacific Heights set dating from her 20s and then just moved
onward and upward.
That's not sitting well
with California's lizardy old-money senior Senator, Dianne Feinstein, who
knows that establishment well.
BLOG: BIDEN AND FEINSTEIN GO WAY BACK WITH THEIR RED CHINA FOR RAW CASH DEALS SIPHONED THROUGH HER HUSBAND AND HIS SON.
According to reports,
Feinstein, the senior senator from the Golden State, will throw a
fundraiser next month for Democratic 2020 presidential frontrunner Joe Biden -- and not for
Harris, another White House contender whose poll numbers suggest she could
probably use some high-profile help.
BLOG: WHAT FEINSTEIN MEANS IS THAT OL' BIDEN IS AS CORRUPT AS
SHE IS ANY DAY!
“My candidate would be
Joe Biden,” Feinstein told CNBC back then. “I watched him as vice president.
I’ve seen him operate. I’ve seen him perform and I think he brings a level of
experience and seniority, which I think is really important.”
The early evening
reception will be the first that Feinstein hosts for Biden in the 2020
election, CNBC reported. Her husband has already participated in several
fundraising events for Biden, who campaigned for Feinstein in 2018, when she
was re-elected by a landslide.
Oh, spare us. Feinstein
knows as well as anyone that old Joe is addled and gaffe-tastic. This is more
likely about putting Kamala back in her place.
Fox News speculated that
this fundraiser among the fatcat donors might just have been payback for
Harris's nasty first-debate attack all but accusing Biden of being a Bull
Conner racist. Remember Harris's phony earnestness in: "That little
girl was me"?
Sure, it's possible.
But it's also been known for close to a year that Feinstein considers
Harris a wretched parvenu who hasn't paid her dues.
Remember this?
“I’m a big fan of Sen.
Harris, and I work with her. But she’s brand-new here, so it takes a little bit
of time to get to know somebody,” Feinstein said of the junior senator,
according to the Los Angeles Times.
Her press secretary told
CNN that Feinstein later added that she certainly likes her California
colleague, saying, “Oh, I love Kamala.”
Translation in a plummy
accent: Do we know her?
Hard to get a better
old-money passive-aggressive remark than that one. People are either known or
unknown in Feinstein's rich circles and it's pretty obvious to Feinstein
that Kamala doesn't cut it.
What's more, Feinstein is
a 'get off my lawn, whippersnappers' non-ideological sort of small-c
conservative, or, as Fox News put it, she pulls rank. Remember this?
Democratic Sen. Dianne
Feinstein pulled rank Friday when a group of kids tried to school her on
climate change.
After the group sought
her support for the Green New Deal, the 85-year-old senior
senator from California let them know she wasn't about to be bossed around by a
bunch of youngsters.
BLOG: THE OLD WHORE FEINSTEIN MADE A VAST FORTUNE SERVING CRIMINAL OPERATIONS LIKE PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC, CRIMINAL BANKSTERS WELLS FARGO AND BANK OF AMERICA AND THE FREAKING PARASITE TRIAL LAWYERS!
“You come in here, and
you say it has to be my way or the highway. I don’t respond to that,” Feinstein
continued. “I’ve gotten elected, I just ran. I was elected by almost a
million-vote plurality. And I know what I’m doing. So you know, maybe people
should listen a little bit.
So just the fundraiser in
Harris's home state of California was a shiv in the side to Kamala.
Why is that?
Well, for one thing, the
Democratic political set widely believes that to win the presidency, one must
win California. Harris is from California, so that stacks things in her
favor.
Now Feinstein is marshalling
money from California Biden's way? So that they give their money to him and
feel 'donor fatigue' when Kamala comes calling?
The matter is compounded
by the fact that the California Democratic campaign fatcats weren't impressed
with Harris's performance in the third debate, as this CNBC report here indicates. Feinstein
knows those people and may very well be egging them toward Biden, or at least
piling on.
Here's another thing:
Money from fatcats over
little-people donations is Kamala's vulnerable spot. The queen of fake Twitter followers is also
highly reliant on big dollar donors over the little
guys, even as the New York Times tries to claim she's changing
that. Well, maybe she is, but if she is, it would be in the infant stage and in
any case, they're taking her word for it. More likely, she still relies on the
big boys, because that's what she knows.
Which would mean that
Feinstein's bid to separate Harris from that cash lifeline is like that of
General Grant at Vicksburg, targeting Confederate supply lines. The California
dinosaur strategizes.
The Feinstein fundraiser,
which will channel and suction big money toward Biden, can't help but come
at a cost to Harris. And Feinstein, right in the middle of the Pacific Heights
crowd, is lobbing her cannon ball where the funds are richest and Kamala's ties
are tightest.
It almost looks like a
concerted chess move to checkmate the upstart. And given the evidence of
Feinstein's antipathy toward Harris, one can't help but think it's all
intentional.
YOU CAN’T SEPARATE THE DEMOCRAT PARTY FROM THEIR PLUNDERING BANKSTERS!
More stiffing the
little guy from haughty Kamala Harris
This
characterization, from Thomas Lifson last month, pretty well sums her
up every time a Kamala Harris story comes to light:
Kamala Harris is scary in her pathological
ambition, moral flexibility, comfort with deception, and sheer ruthlessness.
So
here's a new one, from California watcher Susan Crabtree atRealClearPolitics, reporting Harris's
soapboxing at the second presidential debate:
“So in my background as attorney general of
California, I took on the big banks who preyed on the homeowners, many of whom
lost their homes and will never be able to buy another,” Harris said in late
July during the second round of Democratic debates in Detroit.
In fact, she and several other state attorneys
general were instrumental in negotiating a $25 billion national settlement with
five of the top U.S. mortgage lenders to provide debt relief and other
financial services to struggling homeowners. But in 2012, just months after
Harris secured those funds along with the other state AGs, then-California Gov.
Jerry Brown diverted $331 million from California’s portion of the settlement
to pay off state budget shortfalls incurred before the housing crisis.
Although Harris initially spoke out against
Brown’s diversion of the funds, she remained silent on a subsequent court battle
that began in 2014 – even after she left the attorney general’s office and for
the last year and a half while serving as senator and during her presidential
bid this year.
Which
is pretty outrageous. Harris shook down some banks in the name of "the people"
and then like a crooked lawyer, didn't give the "winnings" to the
clients. Whoever got wronged in this mortgage-lending mess didn't see a penny
of the won cash. It all just went to other Democrat priorities within the one-party
state.
Sound
like the kind of lawyer you'd want to have if you got stiffed in some bank
deal? Whatever this is, it's not the doing of the consumer advocate she's
now painting herself to be.
Any
more than she's the prison-rights advocate she claims to be - she threw
thousands of them in jail for petty offenses during her time as State Attorney
General, kept people in jail beyond their sentences in order to retain them to
fight fires, and refused to disavow false testimony from prosecutorial
misconduct that would have freed prisoners. She's never been about the little
guy.
The
mortgage-payout story shows two distasteful things about Harris.
One,
she plays the old California political machine game (it probably happens in
other crooked one-party states, too) of amassing a vast pot of money for one
purpose, a virtue-signaling purpose, a purpose that press releases can be
released on, and political campaign speeches can be made ... and then spending
the same pile of cash on something thing else, something far less
salable to the voters, something that will cover up spending mismanagement or
fatten pensions. In California, this game is gotten away with all the time. Gas
tax is approved by voters to improve roads ... and ends up bankrolling
bureaucrat and administrative hiring sprees. Federal stimulus money is shoveled
into the state for shovel-ready bridges and road improvements --- and goes
to cover municipal budget holes brought on by mismanagement. Voters approve
bond measures in the name of hiring teachers and getting more school
supplies for kids in education -- and it goes to educrat pensions and union
siphon-offs. Harris is comfortable operating that way in taking on the big
banks, shaking them down -- and just letting the money head elsewhere.
Two,
she's still the teacher's pet of Democrats, the sidling, sucking-up,
get-along-to-go-along, slept-her-way-to-the-top errand girl the more powerful
Democrats like. Crabtree reports that Harris first protested the diversion of
the funds, and then went silent. Why would she do that? Obviouly, she heard
from more powerful Democrats, the kind who could make or break her career.
An Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez-style boat-rocker she was not. The money was won,
the cash was collected, the whole thing went to the government instead of
the little guys, and she went along.
Which
pretty well tells us what kind of leader she would be if heaven forbid she
should win the presidency. In winning the money and then allowing it to be
diverted, she failed the little guys she now says she was serving. And with
that, she shows she's never been about serving the people,
she's about obeying the greater interests of the Democratic political
machine. No
wonder she's so popular in those circles - she's been kowtowing to
these rich and powerful since the dawn of her career. For voters, the real
message, as she vows to take over their health care, hand out reparations to
black people, and offer free stuff for votes is clear: That
the cash she promises isn't going to get anywhere near the little
guys. Not even the illegal immigrants she's promising free health care for
can believe her.
“One, Biden has cut ties with President Obama and no longer expects to get that prized, coveted endorsement from him. He's been sucking up for months for it, and all signs point instead to Obama tilting toward Kamala Harris. The fact that Obama failed to endorse Biden at this point, after all those years of faithful service, was quite a slap in the face for loyal old Joe, who stood at Obama's side no matter what he did.”
In reality,
as David Dayen detailed at The Intercept, the settlement was at bottom yet another bank giveaway — on
top of the TARP bailout and Tim Geithner's backdoor subsidy of banks through a
fake homeowner assistance program. As Dayen writes, "more families lost
their homes as a result of transactions facilitated by the national mortgage
settlement than those who got a sustainable loan modification to save
them." Nearly half of the dollar value of Harris' settlement was for debt
that could not be legally recovered in the first place. She also declined to prosecute OneWest, run by now-Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin from 2009-2015,
after her own prosecutors said they discovered over a thousand violations of
foreclosure law committed by the bank. (OneWest donated $6,500 to
Harris' attorney general campaign in 2011, and Mnuchin himself donated $2,000
to her Senate campaign in 2016.)
The problem with
Harris instead is her tendency to say what is popular in front of progressive
audiences while defaulting to the political status quo when it comes time to
make tough decisions. It would have taken real courage to stand up to the Obama
administration in 2012 when it was pushing states hard to sweep the robosigning
scandal — which involved flagrant document fraud on an industrial scale — under
the rug. But Harris was the top law enforcement official in the largest state
in the country. She certainly could have gotten far better terms than she did. RYAN
COOPER
Harris claims she
“achieved landmark results” by “fighting the Wall Street banks” and winning a
large settlement following the Great Recession. In fact, her office refused to
prosecute blatant foreclosure fraud being carried out by OneWest Bank, run by then
CEO Stephen Mnuchin, now Trump’s secretary of the treasury.
BLOG EDITOR: STEVE MNUCHIN IS KNOWN AS THE ‘FORECLOSURE KING’.
Harris’s office never pursued the matter.
In her 2016 senate bid, Harris was the only Democratic candidate
for Senate to whom Mnuchin donated money. He
was joined by at least one other OneWest investor, billionaire George Soros.

She's
black, and she's female, which is Biden's criterion for picking a vice
president. And unless he wants to go Norbit with
Stacey Abrams, Harris might just be all he's got, given how he's boxed himself
in.
Given
how Biden is showing greater signs of senility than ever, they might as well
even declare her the real president if, heaven forbid, Biden should win.
Harris
sees that, which is why she's jumping at the chance. Ever since her
days as Willie Brown's mistress, sleeping her way to the top in politics, she's
known a good opportunity when she's seen one.
Harris,
recall, is the one who tried to pander to black voters and guilt-minded whites
to the effect that she, in all her Berkeley, California and
Canadian upbringing, had suffered through her upbringing in the midst of
some kind of Klan country. Her yearbook photos from her high
school showed otherwise.
Being
half east Indian, she's not typically black, though she'd have you think she
was. Here's how she acquired that "credential":
Kamala Harris wanted to go to a black school.
That’s what black folks called Howard University in the early 1980s when Harris
was a teenager considering her future.
Harris, she would say later, was seeking an
experience wholly different from what she had long known. She’d attended
majority-white schools her entire life — from elementary school in Berkeley,
Calif., to high school in Montreal. Her parents’ professional lives and their
personal story were bound up in majority-white institutions. Her father, an
economist from Jamaica, was teaching at Stanford University. Her mother, a
cancer researcher from India, had done her graduate work at the University of
California at Berkeley, where the couple had met and fallen in love. And
Harris’s younger sister would eventually enroll at Stanford.
Her rise, however, was propelled in and by a very
different milieu. In this less explored piece of her past, Harris used as a
launching pad the tightly knit world of San Francisco high society, navigating
early on this rarefied world of influence and opulence, charming and partying
with movers and shakers — ably cultivating relationships with VIPs who would
become friends and also backers and donors of every one of her political
campaigns, tapping into deep pockets and becoming a popular figure in a small
world dominated by a handful of powerful families. This stratum of San
Francisco remains a profoundly important part of her network — including not
just powerful Democratic donors but an ambassador appointed by President Donald
Trump who ran in the same circles.
Harris, now 54, often has talked about the
importance of having "a seat at the table," of being an insider
instead of an outsider. And she learned that skill in this crowded, incestuous,
famously challenging political proving ground, where she worked to score spots
at the some of the city's most sought-after tables. In the mid- to late '90s
and into the aughts, the correspondents who kept tabs on the comings and goings
of the area's A-listers noted where Harris was and what she was doing and who
she was with. As she advanced professionally, jumping from Alameda County to
posts in the offices of the district and city attorneys across the Bay, she was
a trustee, too, of the museum of modern art and active in causes concerning
AIDS and the prevention of domestic abuse, and out and about at fashion shows
and cocktail parties and galas and get-togethers at the most modish boutiques.
She was, in the breezy, buzzy parlance of these kinds of columns, one of the
"Pretty Thangs." She was a "rising star." She was
"rather perfect." And she mingled with "spiffy and powerful
friends" who were her contemporaries as well as their even more
influential mothers and fathers. All this was fun, but it wasn't unserious. It
was seeing and being seen with a purpose, society activity with political
utility.
After
that, she became "cop Kamala" as the lefties say, or a pretty dirty
prosecutor, both in San Francisco and as California's attorney
general. She always put the needs of the Democratic establishment
above the people she said she was "helping." Here's
something from an item I wrote about earlier:
So here's a new one, from California watcher
Susan Crabtree at RealClearPolitics, reporting Harris's
soapboxing at the second presidential debate:
"So
in my background as attorney general of California, I took on the big banks who
preyed on the homeowners, many of whom lost their homes and will never be able

negotiating a $25 billion national settlement with five of the top U.S.
mortgage lenders to provide debt relief and other financial services to
struggling homeowners. But in 2012, just months after Harris secured those
funds along with the other state AGs, then-California Gov. Jerry Brown diverted
$331 million from California's portion of the settlement to pay off state
budget shortfalls incurred before the housing crisis.
Although
Harris initially spoke out against Brown's diversion of the funds, she remained
silent on a subsequent court battle that began in 2014 — even after she left
the attorney general's office and for the last year and a half while serving as
senator and during her presidential bid this year.
She shook down some banks in the
name of 'the people' and then went and used the money for something else. No
wonder she's always been popular with the Democratic one-party blue-state
establishment. I have a full blog on that here.
And being part of that
establishment, she protected that establishment - such as a sex harrasser,
Larry Wallace, who happened to be a top aide during her stint as
California attorney general, and whose transgressions forced the state to shell
out more than a million dollars in compensation to his victims while he
was on the job.
Harris claimed she didn't know a thing about it.
Establishment, see, protects its own. So much for #MeToo.
Here's another corrupt little
manuever - she managed to obtain a Los Angeles Police Department Praetorian
guard that followed her wherever she went across the state. Police for me,
but not for thee. Not
her first corruption rodeo.
How
exactly is that kind of establishment record - sucking up to the rich,
protecting Democratic operatives, using all matter of executive privilege,
etc., going to win over Bernie Sanders supporters? If Joe Biden picks Harris,
he can write them off, these are their hot-button issues.
Worse
still is her record as a criminal prosecutor, the Tulsi Gabbard takedowns
described - the very takedowns that sank Harris's presidential bid before she even got
to the primaries. In Tulsi's words:
There are too many examples to cite but she put
over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked
if she ever smoked marijuana.
She blocked evidence that would have freed an
innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so. She kept
people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the
state of California, and she fought to keep a cash bail system in place that
impacts poor people in the worst kind of way.
In
an era of protests against police brutality in one-party blue cities,
particularly from Black Lives Matter supporters, putting Harris on the ticket
with Biden makes about as much sense as Republicans putting Mitt Romney at the
top of the 2012 ticket in an age when Americans wanted to get rid of Obamacare.
Romney, recall, launched his own version of the government takeover prior to
President Obama's legacy program.
As
a Republican, perhaps this is all good opposition research fodder for President
Trump or Vice President Pence to hurl thunderbolts at in the upcoming
presidential election. Maybe we should snicker.
But
it just goes to show how hard up the Democrats are for untainted candidates who
can manage some kind of connection to normal people. If Kamala Harris is the
best Joe Biden has got, it's not happening.
