Election 2020: Voters are highly engaged, but nearly half expect to have difficulties votingThe coronavirus outbreak continues to cast a large shadow over the 2020 presidential election. Only about half of registered voters say it will be very or somewhat easy to vote, down from 85% in 2018. Most voters who support Donald Trump would rather vote in person, while a majority of those who support Joe Biden prefer to vote by mail. A record share of voters say it “really matters” who wins in the election, and while Biden has an advantage over Trump in voter preference, he lags in strong support. |
