Glenn Beck: We Need One Billion People in the U.S.
The United States needs one billion people to keep pace with China’s expanding strategic power, according to Glenn Beck, owner of TheBlaze TV network.
“Having ONE BILLION AMERICANS is a goal worth striving for and crucial to keeping China from overtaking us as the top global power,” Beck tweeted after a conversation with progressive author Matt Yglesias, who has recently published a book urging the tripling of the U.S. population from 330 million to 1 billion.
Yglesias’ book, One Billion Americans: The Case for Thinking Bigger, calls for roughly 670 million additional residents, including both immigrants and native-born.
In 2013 and 2014, Yglesias supported the “Gang of Eight” amnesty, which would have flooded the U.S. labor market with approximately 30 million in ten years, boosted investors over wage earners, and shifted political power towards the pro-diversity progressives who are increasingly allied with Wall Street.
Yglesias, a top editor at the progressive site Vox.com, told Beck:
We’re sort of the number one power in the world. We have been for a long time, 100 years or more. But that’s slipping, right? We are facing a sort of relative decline vis-à-vis China. Their economy is growing very rapidly. In a lot of ways, that’s a good thing; global poverty has gone down a lot. It’s good to see other people doing well. But when you have a country of 1.2 billion people, it’s four times our population. If they get to half of our per capita wealth, they become a much stronger economy than we are in the aggregate. Right. And so we should do something about that. Cracking down on Chinese video meme apps is not going to get the job done right. What we need to do is something bigger.
The claim prompted much criticism on Twitter:

Beck agreed with Yglesias but argued that incomers should work hard, speak English, and accept the civic and constitutional principles of the United States:
This is a place where you have no argument with most of the conservatives that I know. … I’m looking to understand. I don’t know where you get the view that conservatives don’t want immigrants. Donald Trump is a symptom. He is not a cause. He’s a symptom. He’s a symptom of [the elite] not listening to people who love their country, are worried about the culture of the country, worried about the Constitution. … We’re worried about the loss of things. And so what happens with immigration is you have wild open borders, which after September 11, we all should know that’s just stupid. …. But you also have lost the idea of merit. I think every conservative that I know has no problem with people coming in if they are going to come in and work, and they want to better their lives, which is almost every immigrant I have seen from, you know, Mexico and Latin America. They work far harder than most Americans, especially American kids. It renews us. It’s good. But we can’t lose the culture — meaning we can’t say, “We’re two languages, and it doesn’t matter what you think of the United States.” If you came here and you know why you came here and you’re willing to work, you are going to be the best American.
“I’m glad to hear you say that,” Yglesias responded. “I wish that all conservatives thought the way you’re thinking about immigration.”
Beck added:
If you’re coming here to be able to say, “I want to be a part of this” without shedding who you are and what you brought, but melt into this, you’re still holding up the [civic and constitutional] principles, not [just] the flag … not that jingoistic crap; I hate that stuff because it obscures the principles, the principles that made us different. And if you hold up those principles, that’s, I think, what most people are worried about, the deep change.
Beck did not explain how the nation could accept almost two immigrants for every American, who would supercharge the progressive strategy of rule by chaotic diversity and exacerbate the existing cheap-labor trends that favor coastal stockholders and also preserve the nation’s civic and constitutional principles.
Yglesias’ population idea “is the most ludicrous manifestation of a pretty widespread view of immigration as a tool for America’s elite to compete with the rest of the world,” Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies, told Breitbart News on September 11.
“What he is proposing is a nation-breaking policy,” said Krikorian. Immigration policy should “serve the interests of individual Americans,” rather than the personal interests of globalist advocates, he said, adding:
For all his flaws, [President Donald] Trump understands that government policy, including the federal immigration program, should be designed to help Americans thrive and live better lives. It is not to play some kind of geopolitical chess game.
What should be more important for the U.S. government? The gas station attendant in Iowa or the state of geopolitics in Burundi? The gas station attendant is the one whom the American government is supposed to serve.
Krikorian added, “It is almost comical to hear from the left-wing editor of Vox that we need to be engaging in a geopolitical population race with China. … It is as if [Sen.] John McCain got reincarnated”:

Last Friday, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 1876, which removes the
requirement for a tax filer to have at least one child under the age of six to
qualify for California’s earned income tax credit.
“Expanding the CalEITC,” Newsom said in his signing message, “will provide a
critical boost to undocumented and mixed-status families across the state,
stimulate the economy and make us all stronger in the face of economic
uncertainty.” This was only California’s latest benefit for false-documented
foreign nationals illegally present in the United States.
Newsom’s first budget set aside $98 million for illegals’ health
care, and as the Sacramento Bee noted, made California “the
first state to allow undocumented adults to sign up for state-funded health
coverage.” Countless legal immigrants and legitimate citizens are not eligible
for state-funded health care, and they also come up short in other ways.
California’s false-documented illegals get in-state tuition at
state universities. University of California president Janet Napolitano defied the 1996
California Civil Rights Initiative, Proposition 209, to admit students on the
base of ethnicity. The former Arizona governor and Homeland Security boss also
made the University of California a sanctuary system, founded the UC Center for
Undocumented Student Legal Services, and granted illegals an aid package of
$25.2 million.
Legitimate citizens and legal immigrants did not get an aid
package, and the University of California does not pay their legal bills.
Napolitano also ruled that UC campus police would not cooperate with federal
authorities. That mirrors the statewide policy of giving sanctuary to
false-documented foreign nationals illegally present in California.
Senate Bill 54, the “California Values
Act,” was authored by Senate boss Kevin de Leon, who claims his father was
a Chinese cook born in
Guatemala,
and that he grew up on both sides of the border. De Leon authored the bill
because half his family would be eligible for deportation, and despite claims
to the contrary, his sanctuary law protects criminals.
If criminal illegals had been handed to federal authorities for
deportation, Kate Steinle would be alive
today. So would California police officers Ronil Singh, Brian Ishmael, Danny
Oliver, Michael Davis and many others. As it happens, sanctuary laws are hardly
the only special privilege false-documented illegals enjoy in California.
When illegals get driver’s licenses, the California Department of
Motor Vehicles automatically registers them to vote. By 2018, the “motor voter”
program added one million “new” voters, but secretary of state Alex Padilla
isn’t saying how many actually voted. After the 2016 election, Padilla refused
to cooperate with a federal probe of voter fraud, so one million is a ballpark
figure for 2018, with many more illegals set to vote in November.
In May, Newsom issued an executive order to “send vote-by-mail ballots for the November 3,
2020 General Election to all registered voters.” Those will include those
illegals automatically registered to vote by the DMV, and those who voted
illegally long before. As a State Department investigation confirms, false-documented
illegals have
been voting in local, state and federal elections for decades.

Legal immigrants must certify that they will not become a public
charge, so Becerra, once on Hillary Clinton’s short list as a running mate,
seeks yet another privilege for foreign nationals illegally present in the
United States. Democrats have made illegals a privileged, protected class and
in return the illegals vote for Democrats. That’s a great deal for Democrats
and illegals, and a bad deal for legitimate citizens and legal immigrants. As
they know, it is illegal for non-citizens to vote in American elections.
With a crucial presidential election just around the corner, Gavin
Newsom adds a tax break to the illegals’ roster of benefits. The governor, a
crony of Jerry Brown and a one-time nephew of Nancy Pelosi, has also been busy
on other fronts.
On September 11, Newsom signed Senate Bill 195, by San
Francisco Democrat Scott Weiner,
Which says that non-forcible sodomy, oral copulation, and sexual
penetration with a minor do not require mandatory sex offender registration
unless there is a ten-year gap between the minor and the other person. The
measure outraged even leftist Democrats such as San Diego assemblywoman Lorena
Gonzalez.
“I cannot in my mind as a mother understand how sex between a
24-year-old and a 14-year-old could ever be consensual, how it could ever not
be a registrable offense,” Gonzalez told reporters. “We should never give
up on this idea that children should be in no way subject to a predator.”
Democrats have already made California safe for millions of
false-documented illegals, their imported electorate. So for a trendy
progressive like Gavin Newsom, expanding protections for pedophiles and
predators is hardly a problem.

Can
the Present-Day Democrat Party Govern America
(with
or without Joe Biden)?

The
cabal fronted by Joe Biden is selling hatred of Donald Trump and his voters and
prefers that voters not worry about their ability to govern should the
Democrats win the Senate and install Harris-Biden.
This
same cabal that would be charged with governing the nation has, for the past
four years, marginalized, physically confronted and repeatedly accused the 63
million Americans who voted for Donald Trump of being not only racists but
fascists and white supremacists as well as homophobic, xenophobic and among the
vilest people on the face of the earth. What will be their intentions for
these rightfully incensed citizens? Ignore them and hope they go
away? They will not. Instead, the Democrat party cabal will
continue to vilify half of the voters in 2020 thus potentially fomenting
serious ongoing confrontations and retaliation.
Over
the years 154 million observant
Christians have been denigrated, mocked and pilloried for their beliefs as
religious liberty is under continual assault by the left and the Democrat
party. What can this segment of society look forward to under a
government committed to promoting unfettered abortion and infanticide as well
as a determination to purge society of its basic Judeo-Christian
foundation? It is an absolute certainty that the hierarchy of the party
will persist in imposing their secularism on the nation, either by litigation,
administrative decrees or intimidation. How will they respond to
what will be increasing anger and resentment by 48% of the population?
In
a nation of 330 million people there will always be those who will commit mass
murder. When and if the current iteration of the Democrat party takes
over, these occurrences will increase. The left has always blamed
rhetoric and guns as the primary causation. Thus, when mass murders occur
a Democrat party in power will have no choice but to continue to ignore
underlying factors such as societal breakdown and mental illness and actively
focus on overtly limiting speech and enforcing gun control.
Currently 235 million Americans either
own or could see themselves owning a gun. How will the Democrats in power
go about effectively confiscating guns in a nation of 3.8 million square
miles? Utilize a national registry of all gun owners? Outlaw all
semi-automatic weapons? Impose onerous taxes and insurance requirements
making gun ownership unaffordable? Pass open-ended red flag laws allowing
virtually anyone to file a complaint against someone, ostensibly based on their
suspicions, thus allowing the police to seize the guns of the accused? As
for speech, will certain words, phrases and organizations, as determined by the
left, be considered inciteful and dangerous and thus outlawed? How will
the Democrats deal with the inevitable resistance and potential violent push
back from upwards of 72% of the nation’s citizenry?
Once
in power, the Democrats are committed to eventual Medicare for all, reparations
for African Americans, and new environmental programs amid a myriad of new
spending programs. The estimated average annual cost of these proposals
exceeds $4 trillion over and above current spending. Discounting the
one-time pandemic spending, the federal government currently spends $4.7
trillion a year (which includes $1 trillion of deficit spending). Income taxes account for 50% of
all government revenue and Social Security and Medicare withholding account for
36%. Thus, individuals account for 86% of all revenue. In order for
the Democrats to pay for these programs, revenue from individual taxpayers
would have to be increased by 150%.
As
the Democrats have promised not to touch Social Security and Medicare all the
increase would have to be in the income tax arena, assuming that all this
proposed spending would not be financed by unfettered money creation and
debt. Based on the most recent IRS analysis the effective
average income tax rate would have to be 70% on the top 10% of income tax
filers, a rate of 55% on the next 40%, and a rate of 35% on the bottom 50% of
filers. (Further, the corporate tax rate would have to be increased from
a current rate of 21% to 50%.
How
would the Democrats enforce these new rates as people either refuse to pay or
go into the underground economy? How would they pay for massive
unemployment and welfare benefits as a result of an avalanche of layoffs and
business closures? What are their plans for the recession and potential
depression that would ensue? From whom (China?) would a Democrat
administration borrow money and at what exorbitant interest rate? Would
they successfully coerce the Federal Reserve into printing trillions of dollars
in new money? Thus, creating massive uncontrolled and nation-toppling
inflation?
Recently

30% of all working families (or nearly 50 million Americans) are essentially
unskilled and low income but above the poverty threshold. 60% of these
are families headed by racial/ ethnic minorities. African Americans,
while 13% of the population (41 million), account for nearly 30% of low-income
working families. Another 39 million Americans live
below the poverty level. Thus, a total of 89 million live in low-income families
or in poverty. Yet the Democrat party that claims to be the
champion of minorities and low-income families is pushing to ultimately
legalize upwards of 22 to 30 million unskilled illegal immigrants (equal to 55
to 73% of the current African American population) which will devastate low
income working American families by driving down wages.
The
left and the Democrat party are now so committed to open borders and illegal
immigration that they cannot reverse course. Do they really give a damn
about the African American population, or native born and naturalized
Hispanics, or the low-income white working families? Or are the
potential votes of the illegal population more important? With the
spending plans outlined above, how will they buy off these groups as there will
be no money or jobs? How will they avoid the inevitable class friction
and potential hostility with so many in the marketplace and a limited number of
jobs in the low-income sector?
How
will the Democrat Party hierarchy deal with the Marxist mobs they tacitly
unleashed onto the streets of the nation’s major cities and suburbs? Mobs
who now know that virtually all Democrat politicians inevitably cower and
capitulate in the face of violence and intimidation. How does the party
leadership placate them and their demands to overthrow capitalism and transform
the nation into an unabashed Marxist/socialist nation without fomenting more
militant upheaval?
While
at the same time, due to their failed policy prescriptions, incompetence and
fecklessness, deal with a myriad of near insolvable problems they deliberately
created as well as the resultant demands from the rest of the populace.
Nationwide
chaos and antagonism on a massive scale is thus inevitable.
In
summary, the current Marxist/socialist dominated Democrat Party and its
propaganda arm, the mainstream media, is good at sowing confusion,
communicating overt falsehoods and vilifying their opponents in order to win
elections. But they cannot and will never be able to successfully
govern a diverse nation of 330 million people the size of the continent of
Europe. If they ever fully control all the levers of power, this
nation as presently constituted, will, in due course, cease to exist.
