Two women have been arrested on suspicion of drugging and then robbing men at a series of Chicago nightclubs.

The pair are also accused of using stolen credit cards to run up thousand-dollar bills at Walmart and Target in their home state. In total, police say they stole $85,000.

Tiana Trammel, 25, and Tjwana Rainey, 32, both from Milwaukee, were arrested in Chicago on Sunday and accused of drugging and robbing 10 men the nightclubs in the city over 10 months

Investigators say the women, both mothers, would lead men away from nightclubs in central Chicago before offering them a drink from a small glass bottle, at which point they would black out.

Some victims say they woke up in their homes, others were dumped by the side of the road. One claimed to have woken up at a rest stop on I-94, 40 miles away from where he last remembers being.

Officers say the women scheme ran from at least January until October 18, when they were caught carrying an unconscious man from a club into their car.

The man told CWB Chicago that he had been in a nightclub in the River North area when the women picked him up because he was dressed nicely and wearing a Rolex.

He said he doesn't remember leaving the club, but woke up a short time later in a nearby car which had broken down, and was surrounded by police.

Officers said they had identified Trammel and Rainey as likely culprits after a series of similar attacks, and had begun following their movement.

They said a tracker had been placed on Trammel's car, which allowed them to swoop in and make the arrests on Sunday.

Prosecutors said data gathered by the tracker would match information given by other victims, including where they remember being and where they woke up.

Officers also say small glass bottles were found in the car, and have now been taken away so the contents can be analysed.

Attorneys for the women told Beach neither have significant criminal histories and both are mothers of young children.

Judge Charles Beach II branded the scheme an 'act of violence' as he set bail at $55,000 for Trammell and $45,000 for Rainey.

The plot resembles 2019 Jennifer Lopez movie Hustlers, in which a group of strippers steal money from wealthy Wall Street financiers after drugging them.
