Biden Rescinds Trump’s 'Muslim Travel Ban' as 'Inconsistent with American Values'
Even as most of the nations on that list have just appeared on another more troubling list.

No sooner did Joseph Biden enter the White House on January 20, 20201, before he began rescinding some of his predecessor’s strong immigration policies.
In early 2017, for example, Trump issued travel restrictions into the U.S. from various nations. They are currently eight: Chad, Iran, Somalia, Libya, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. Although North Korea and Venezuela have nothing to do with Islam, in an effort to present Trump’s policy as “Islamophobic,” then and now his enemies refer to it as a “Muslim Ban.” Or, in the words of the Biden White House, it was “rooted in religious animus and xenophobia.”
In reality, Trump banned entry from those eight nations because they were all to various degrees either state sponsors of terrorism and/or posed a serious security threat to the U.S; most or all of them regularly appear on the State Department’s list of “countries of particular concern,” while others are known state sponsors of terrorism.
Interestingly, and perhaps even more tellingly, most of these eight nations appeared on another list just a few days ago. On January, 18, 2021, Open Doors, an international human rights organization that annually ranks the 50 worst nations that persecute Christians, published its latest findings. Six of the eight nations affected by Trump’s so-called “Muslim ban”—that is, 75 percent of them—are on this list.
North Korea (#1) is the worst: “Being discovered as a Christian is a death sentence.” The other nations—Somalia (#3), Libya (#4), Yemen (#7), Iran (#8), Syria (#12)—are not much better. As with North Korea, they too, as part of the absolute worst 12, are all categorized as nations where “extreme persecution” occurs.
For the record, Open Doors, which compiled this list, is critical of Trump, i.e., its findings are not politically motivated.
Of course, you may not be nor care much about what happens to Christians; even so, rest assured that these aforementioned nations that persecute Christians do so less because they know or care about Christianity, and more because they simply hate “the other”—that is, you, if you’re not Muslim.
Despite all this, Biden has denounced Trump’s strict travel measures against these eight nations as “inconsistent with American values.” Moreover, and as one of his very first acts, Biden has just issued an order that “instructs the State Department to restart visa processing for affected countries and to swiftly develop a proposal to restore fairness,” as well as to increase “information sharing” with foreign governments and nations.
Only time will tell what the ramifications of this ease on travel restrictions will be.
By the way, and in closing, that six of the eight nations on Trump’s “ban” are Muslim—and that nearly 80 percent of the nations that persecute and maul Christians and other minorities are Islamic—is and always has been less a reflection of “Islamophobia” and more a reflection of why fear of Islam exists in the first place.
Muslim Convert Plotted to Help ISIS Kill American Soldiers
Not the domestic terrorism that Democrats or their media want to talk about.
The Justice Department, along with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and U.S. Army Counterintelligence, announced today the arrest of a private first class in the U.S. Army, on federal terrorism charges based on Bridges’ alleged efforts to assist ISIS to attack and kill U.S. soldiers in the Middle East.
Cole James Bridges, aka Cole Gonzales, 20, of Stowe, Ohio, was charged by complaint with attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization and attempting to murder U.S. military service members
This is really the worst kind of betrayal imaginable and yet it's part of a pattern to which less attention than ever is being paid.
In or about December 2020, Bridges began to supply the OCE with instructions for the purported ISIS fighters on how to attack U.S. forces in the Middle East. Among other things, Bridges diagrammed specific military maneuvers intended to help ISIS fighters maximize the lethality of attacks on U.S. troops. Bridges further provided advice about the best way to fortify an ISIS encampment to repel an attack by U.S. Special Forces, including by wiring certain buildings with explosives to kill the U.S. troops. Then, in January 2021, Bridges provided the OCE with a video of himself in body armor standing before a flag often used by ISIS fighters and making a gesture symbolic of support for ISIS. Approximately a week later, Bridges sent a second video in which Bridges, using a voice manipulator, narrated a propaganda speech in support of the anticipated ambush by ISIS on U.S. troops.
Bridges/Gonzalez became interested in Islam and then establishing an Islamic caliphate.
On or about August 12, 2020, BRIDGES searched for the phrase: “Suicide in Islam.”
"The brothers who have been fighting to establish a khilafah have inspired me a lot, they’re love for Allah and courage to go against all of this world to raise His word to the highest," he allegedly wrote.
Based on my review of the BRIDGES Account-1, I have learned that between on or about October 21 and November 2, 2020, BRIDGES searched and viewed the results for the following search terms: “Isis nasheed,” “Ummat al Islam BushraAbu Malik,” “Isis ideology,” “Faking on joining the army,” “Abu Ali- Say to the Aggressor (Nasheed),” “How to Fake Your Own Death,” and “Captured U.S. Soldier on Tape.” Based on my training, experience, and 15 involvement in this investigation, I know that the Youtube videos “Ummat al Islam BushraAbu Malik” and “Abu Ali- Say to the Aggressor (Nasheed)” appear to be jihadist propaganda videos. I also know that the YouTube video “Captured U.S. Soldier on Tape” relates to Bowe Bergdahl, a former U.S. Army soldier who was convicted in a court-martial
And protected by Obama. Did this kind of thing embolden Bridges/Gonzalez?
Now here we're dealing with actual terrorism. The kind the media doesn't want to talk about.
The OCE, who was in New York, New York, then sent BRIDGES a series of photographs of federal, local, and foreign government buildings in and around New York City. In connection with these messages, the OCE also stated, “Everything is so heavily guarded, I don’t know that it’s even possible to do an operation in NYC,” to which BRIDGES responded “choose your targets wisely,” and asked the OCE if the OCE would be able to participate in a call with BRIDGES. The OCE agreed to have the call later and then stated, “I also went a few other places I will send you those oo.” After BRIDGES asked which other places, the OCE identified other government buildings in New York City. In response, BRIDGES commented “not enough firepower for that.” The OCE and BRIDGES further discussed a potential attack at the 9/11 Memorial. BRIDGES initially stated that he believed that the 9/11 attacks were murder. The OCE replied, “Yes I was thinking of when the diplomats came though, the heads of state.” BRIDGES then wrote “a key target” and “that could honestly be a sniper kill and then getting out quietly for a second attack.”
On or about December 27, 2020, after the OCE stated that BRIDGES should stay safe and avoid being “compromised,” BRIDGES responded, “No akh, If I were to be comprised I would either become a martyr or somehow escape the country.”
And actual treason of the worst kind.
As BRIDGES sent the diagrams, he continued to explain the depicted troop movements, including how the ISIS fighters should fire, when they should use grenades, and how to avoid U.S. Army grenades. For example, BRIDGES stated that the OCE should tell the ISIS fighters to stay a certain distance apart “because if the enemy throws a grenade then it won’t kill anyone,” and BRIDGES specified the range of a particular type of U.S. Army grenade so that the ISIS fighters could avoid it.
After the OCE informed BRIDGES that the ISIS fighters thought the U.S. soldiers would arrive via helicopter, BRIDGES advised that the fighters should “[d]efinitely get a lmg and a rpg on the roof,” and “make those little building to the east as their last stand if needed, and can pick a building as their ‘Alamo’ that they must hold until the last man, whichever building they choose should be the same one Emir is in.”
And there will be a lot more of this as a Democrat administration further dismantles surveillance and investigation of Islamic terrorism.
