PALM BEACH SAYS HELL NO TO THE TRUMP TROOP OF GRIFTERS AND DEAL HUSTLING CHEATS

'It's a nightmare': Residents of exclusive Palm Beach community DON'T want Don Jr and Kimberly to move in 'because they'd bring undesirable notoriety'

  • Donald Trump Jr and Kimberly Guilfoyle are relocating to Palm Beach County
  • The pair have bought two waterfront mansions in Admirals Cove near Jupiter
  • They are likely to relocate from New York in March but locals are unimpressed
  • The general manager of the property owners association received 30 messages
  • Some said their arrival was a 'nightmare' and would bring 'disharmony'
  • Others were concerned about security threats and 'notoriety'
  • Ivanka and Jared are also moving to Florida, with a new home near Miami

Donald Trump Jr's plan to move to Florida with girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle has been greeted with horror by some residents of the exclusive gated community where they have purchased an $11 million home, it was reported on Tuesday.

One resident described having the Trumps as their neighbors as 'a nightmare', and another lamented the 'undesirable notoriety' they will bring.

The couple have signed contracts to buy a seven-bedroom waterfront property in Admirals Cove, an affluent community near Jupiter, in Palm Beach County.

Guilfoyle has also separately bought the $9.5 million house next door for her family.

The pair plan to relocate from New York and move in March, according to The Palm Beach Post.

But residents of the community - which Celine Dion and Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres used to call home - are worried about their forthcoming arrival, according to Peter Moore, general manager of the property owners association.

He told the paper that around 30 people have contacted him since the couple were seen house-hunting in the area.

'About half have concerns about safety,' Moore said. 'The others have political concerns with what's happened in the last couple of weeks.'

One member referenced accusations of Guilfoyle's improper behavior while working at Fox News, which she has denied, as well as reports that Trump Jr. is under criminal investigation in Washington D.C. for incitement of the deadly January 6 siege on the U.S. Capitol.

'There are news reports detailing improper behavior by Ms. Guilfoyle while employed at Fox News and news reports of possible criminal investigations of Donald Trump Jr.,' one resident wrote to the board.

'I believe their membership would bring undesirable notoriety to the club, harm our reputation and have the potential for creating disharmony,' the resident said.

On an email thread sent among residents at the weekend, several residents, the paper reported, denounced the Trumps' arrival.

One resident described the pair's purchase in the community as 'a nightmare.'

Others were more welcoming.

Terri Ameen said she thought all newcomers should be treated with hospitality.

'We don't want this to be a community that makes those kinds of judgments,' she said.

'I don't see a problem. We have to be more accepting.'

Brett Morris, Admirals Club general manager and chief operating officer, said the community 'prides itself on being an inclusive community.'

Morris pointed out that members overwhelmingly voted to become a mandatory membership club, meaning that when someone buys in Admirals Cove they are automatically approved for membership.

Residents who buy a home at Admirals Cove must buy a membership in the club, which costs $195,000 to join.

The 888-home community features a spa, 45 holes of golf, pickleball and tennis courts, a fitness center, two clubhouses, two driving ranges and four restaurants.

It also features a marina for mega-yachts and a 30-room hotel atop a clubhouse for guests of members.

'The Club has no say in who buys in Admirals Cove,' Morris said. 'The Club cannot disapprove of them for membership.'

Just over half of the residents are registered Republicans and Trump carried the community with 57.6 per cent of the vote to Biden's 42.1 per cent.

Admirals Cove is about 20 miles north of Mar-a-Lago, where Donald Trump is expected to live with his wife Melania and son Barron from Wednesday.

Trump officially abandoned New York, with its high taxes and hatred of their presidential son, in November 2019 - relocating his home to Florida, where there is no state income tax.

It had long been expected that he would not return to Trump Tower in Manhattan, but confirmation of his plans to be based permanently at Mar-a-Lago have left some of the locals seething.

In December, town officials received two letters from neighbors who cited legal reasons and security concerns that should bar Trump from living at his private club.

'Neighbors of Mar-a-Lago, have a message for the outgoing commander in chief: We don't want you to be our neighbor and break our laws,' wrote a group of anonymous neighbors calling themselves The Palm Beach Committee.

'We do not (want) Proud Boys, Skin Heads, Neo Nazi Crazies visiting Trump proposed new PB residence. We hope you agree!'

Their new Florida home will be close to his ex wife and their five children

Trump Jr and Guilfoyle will be close to his five children from his ex-wife, Vanessa, who lives nearby in the Jupiter Country Club. Guilfoyle also has a 14-year-old son, Ronan Villency, with her second husband, designer Eric Villency, who she divorced in 2009.

Admirals Cove also is near Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, and is 70 miles north of Indian Creek, the island off Miami where Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner have reportedly purchased a $30 million plot.

On Tuesday night it was reported they have signed a deal to lease a condominium in Miami's new Arte building for a year, while the Indian Creek property is built.
