Big Tech, Koch Network Cheer Biden’s Amnesty to Flood U.S. Labor Market

Big tech’s lobbying arm and the Koch brothers’ network of donor class organizations are cheering on President Joe Biden’s amnesty plan that would pack the United States labor market with more foreign visa workers for business to hire over American graduates and professionals.

This week, Biden’s amnesty plan was introduced in Congress by Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) as Democrats look to increase foreign competition in the U.S. workforce while more than 17 million Americans are jobless.

Among other things, the plan would:

  • Put nearly all illegal aliens in the U.S. on an eight-year path to citizenship
  • Provide $4 billion in foreign aid to Central America
  • Expand the U.S. labor market with more foreign visa workers
  • Expedite green cards for foreign relatives, otherwise known as “chain migration”
  • Potentially add 52 million foreign-born residents to the U.S. population
  • Eliminate per-country caps, ensuring India monopolizes employment green cards
  • Increase the Diversity Visa Lottery program where visas are given out randomly
  • Provide green cards to foreign students who graduate in advanced STEM fields
  • Bring already deported illegal aliens back to the U.S. to provide them amnesty

For Amazon, millions of newly legalized illegal aliens, foreign visa workers, and chain migrants who would be added to the U.S. labor market as a result of the plan are a boon to multinational corporations’ profits.

“Today’s immigration reform bill marks an important step in reducing the green card backlog, creating a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers & making our immigration system more efficient,” Amazon officials wrote in a statement. “We look forward working [with] the administration and Congress to advance these proposed solutions.”

Specifically, aside from providing Amazon with more foreign visa workers to hire, the plan includes a green card giveaway that would create a green card system where only H-1B foreign visa workers are able to obtain employment-based visas by creating a backlog of seven to eight years for all foreign nationals.

The process would reward outsourcing firms and tech corporations for the decades of outsourcing American jobs to H-1B foreign visa workers.

Executives with the Libre Initiative, a Koch-funded organization, also praised the Biden amnesty plan as “an important first step” to securing the green card giveaway for corporations that they have also long lobbied for.

“There is broad support for proposals like a permanent solution for Dreamers, workforce visa reform, removing per-country caps, efficient border security measures and much more,” Daniel Garza with the Libre Initiative wrote in a statement:

Lawmakers should seize the opportunity and demonstrate that partisan gridlock will not keep the American public waiting another 30 years for congress to enact sensible, permanent solutions. We look forward to working with lawmakers to ensure that we can get nonpartisan, sensible solutions past both chambers and enacted into law.

Todd Schulte with FWD.us, a group that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg created to lobby on behalf of tech corporations, called the amnesty plan a “critical moment for immigration policy” and a “substantial step forward.”

“Congress has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform a long-failed and too easily weaponized immigration system,” Schulte wrote in a statement. “The time is now and we will seize this moment.”

Despite the business lobby’s insistence that there is a labor shortage, millions of Americans are out of work today and hundreds of thousands of U.S. graduates enter the labor market every year looking for white-collar professional jobs with competitive pay and good benefits.

Already, the U.S. admits about 1.2 million legal immigrants every year. Another 1.4 million foreign visa workers are brought in annually to take American jobs, many in white-collar professions. The latest data reveals that nearly 6-in-10 workers in Silicon Valley, California — the tech industry’s hub — are foreign-born.

Border Patrol Rescues Migrants in California after Smugglers Abandoned Them

Border Patrol agents in Southern California rescued multiple migrants after they were abandoned by human smugglers. Agents found the migrants, including an unaccompanied juvenile, in near-freezing conditions.

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents received information late Tuesday night from Mexican government officials about a group of migrants who illegally entered the United States and were abandoned by their human smugglers, according to information obtained from Border Patrol officials. The Mexican officials told the USBP Foreign Operations Branch the smugglers abandoned the migrants on Otay Mountain while they slept.

Officials said the smugglers abandoned the migrants in near-freezing temperatures. High winds and lack of food and water added to the dangers, officials stated.

Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue (BORSTAR) agents responded to the call and began a search and rescue operation. After nearly three hours of searching on foot through the mountainous region, the BORSTAR team located the group of migrants.

The agents evaluated the migrants’ condition and determined they were ambulatory. They identified the migrants as Mexican nationals — two adult males and one 15-year-old male unaccompanied minor.

The agents provided the migrants with hand-warmers and warm fluids and then transported them to a nearby Border Patrol station for processing.

“Regardless of harsh weather conditions, our agents continue saving lives,” said Chief Patrol Agent Aaron M. Heitke. “I am very proud of their efforts.”

Earlier on Tuesday evening, El Centro Station agents apprehended another group of migrants in the Jacumba Wilderness mountain region. The agents began evaluating the migrants and observed a female had difficulty standing and answering questions. The agent called for BORSTAR to provide medical assistance.

The responding BORSTAR agents noted the woman had a weak pulse. They began to administer intravenous fluids. After she responded to the treatment, the BORSTAR agent extracted her from the mountains.

The other agents marched the remaining migrants to Interstate 8. The march in the darkness took three hours, officials stated.

“The illegal aliens were evaluated once more and cleared to be transported,” El Centro officials stated. “The subjects stated they required no medical attention and were then transported to the El Centro Sector immigration rally point where they were expelled back to Mexico.”

The agents expelled the migrants to Mexico under Title 42 coronavirus protection protocols put in place under the Trump administration by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

California Republican Assemblyman Calls for Corruption Investigation Into Newsom

California state assemblyman Kevin Kiley (R.) called for a corruption investigation into Governor Gavin Newsom's (D.) management of public contracts awarded during the coronavirus pandemic to companies that contributed to his reelection campaign.

Kiley proposed Tuesday that state authorities probe Newsom’s role in alleged influence-peddling by corporations, many of which were able to receive no-bid contracts from the California government because of the state of emergency declared in response to the pandemic.

Reporting by local outlets indicates Newsom’s government issued contracts and other opportunities to at least half a dozen companies that made major donations to Newsom’s reelection campaign. The contracts offered by the state range from $2 million to $1 billion.

Companies that received no-bid contracts include large donors in the health care industry. Blue Shield of California has given Newsom more than $300,000 since 2018 and won a $15 million contract from the state government. UnitedHealth has contributed more than $200,000 to Newsom’s political efforts since 2018 and won multiple no-bid contracts totaling more than $400 million.

The president of BYD, a Chinese manufacturer, donated $40,000 to Newsom and received more than $1 billion from California to produce N95 and surgical masks. BYD ultimately failed to complete its contract on time and had to return $247 million in public funds.

Kiley slammed Newsom’s coronavirus management as a strategy to aid "special interest allies" over working Californians.

"This governor has repeatedly used extraordinary emergency powers to reward special interest allies as millions of Californians have paid the price," Kiley said. "It's hard to imagine a worse betrayal of the public trust."

Scrutiny over Newsom's management of the pandemic comes as the governor faces a recall effort led by Republican politicians and conservative activists. Roughly half-a-million Californians have reportedly signed a recall petition against Newsom, with 1.5 million signatures required to force a special election. The movement gained enough steam in recent weeks to merit a response from the Biden administration. White House press secretary Jen Psaki tweeted last week that President Joe Biden opposes any recall effort against Newsom and shares "a commitment to a range of issues" with the governor.

California Republicans, including former San Diego mayor Kevin Faulconer and former gubernatorial candidate John Cox, have lined up to challenge Newsom in a potential recall election, which would take place later this year if the signature campaign is successful.

Is Kevin Faulconer California’s Next (Scrawny) Schwarzenegger?

Former San Diego Mayor: 'You can't underestimate the frustration of California families right now'

Under normal circumstances, a California conservative like Kevin Faulconer would stand little chance of toppling Governor Gavin Newsom (D.), the polished product of San Francisco's powerful political machine. But after nearly 12 months of harsh lockdowns and shuttered schools, the state's political landscape is anything but normal.

"You can't underestimate the anger and frustration of California families right now," Faulconer told the Washington Free Beacon.

The former two-term San Diego mayor launched his campaign to succeed Newsom in early February, promising a "California comeback" centered on common-sense policies. The timing proved opportune: Just two weeks later, Republicans called for a corruption investigation into Newsom over no-bid contracts the Democrat awarded to campaign donors. And with a recall effort against Newsom sweeping the state, Faulconer is eager to capitalize on what is undoubtedly the best chance for a Republican to take the governor's mansion since Arnold Schwarzenegger's recall win nearly two decades ago.

Fed-up residents launched the long-shot recall petition in June. It began as a modest effort, amassing roughly 55,000 signatures by November 5. Just one day later, however, Newsom committed a term-defining blunder—he attended a lobbyist-filled party at the luxurious French Laundry restaurant in Napa Valley, violating his own coronavirus restrictions in the process. Even NFL star and California native Aaron Rodgers joined the pile-on as signatures skyrocketed, reaching 1.5 million in February, according to activists.

"In the midst of all the lockdowns, to see that happen? That really struck a nerve for Californians across the state," Faulconer said. "It's the classic ‘do as I say, not as I do' hypocrisy. There was a lot of frustration already, but that sent it into the stratosphere."

The incident did serious damage to Newsom's COVID credibility, but it did not stop the Democrat from instituting additional shutdown measures. Newsom ordered a 10 p.m. curfew, closed outdoor playgrounds, and shuttered outdoor dining all within weeks of his French Laundry outing, sparking outrage from many small business owners, who refused to comply. Faulconer railed against the governor's "constantly changing metrics," describing the orders as draconian and ineffective.

"The governor shut down outdoor dining with absolutely no science showing that outdoor dining was contributing to the spread and transmission of COVID-19," he said. "We had businesses that were open and shut four different times because of the conflicting measures. The goalposts kept changing."

Newsom has also struggled on school reopenings, an issue Faulconer hopes will be the driving force of his unlikely recall campaign. The Republican held a Wednesday news conference at San Francisco's Abraham Lincoln High School, where school board members have postponed discussions on in-person learning as they work to rename the school in order to "dismantle symbols of racism and white supremacy culture."

Newsom attempted to intervene with a December plan aimed at opening California schools by mid-February. The deadline passed with little progress—"another broken promise," according to Faulconer. The state legislature is now pushing its own reopening bill that would resume in-person instruction in April, but Newsom says the legislation "doesn't go far enough or fast enough." As pressure mounts, there is evidence that the delay could resonate with voters in the state's bluest cities—San Francisco, with the blessing of its Democratic mayor, recently sued its own school district to force open classroom doors.

"There are no results. There's rhetoric and virtue signaling and failed plans," Faulconer said. "A computer screen is no substitute for a classroom. California kids are falling behind, and there's absolutely no reason for it."

Faulconer emphasizes that the campaign is about more than just Newsom's failed leadership. He plans to run on his own record as San Diego mayor to woo an overwhelmingly Democratic population. He spearheaded initiatives that saw the city rank among the nation's best in safety and cleanliness—all while working with a city council comprised almost entirely of Democrats. Under Faulconer’s leadership, homelessness went down in the past two years, and home prices soared at the third quickest rate in the nation. He said the same policies that drove San Diego's success could help California turn the tide on the mass exodus of residents and businesses in the past decade.

"I can't say enough how many folks and companies are looking to leave California. My job as governor would be to keep them here," Faulconer said. "We're so proud of San Diego, we're so proud of California’s innovation and spirit. But you don't see that same spirit in our state government."

Faulconer sees San Diego as a "microcosm of California," expressing confidence that his bipartisan experience will resonate with disgruntled voters in both urban and rural areas.

"Ten years of one-party rule in Sacramento has failed us," Faulconer said. "It's time to replace the status quo."

The deadline for the recall petition is March 17.

18 Trash Bags Full of Human Remains Found near Mexican Soccer Stadium

Authorities in Mexico found 18 trash bags filled with what appear to be severed human remains in the coastal state of Jalisco. The discovery took place near a large sporting complex where one of Mexico’s top professional soccer teams play.

The gruesome discovery took place this week in the town Zapopan, near the Akron Stadium in the Guadalajara metropolitan area. According to information released by the Jalisco Attorney General’s Office, a group of local police officers was patrolling the streets when they spotted what appeared to be a human leg on one of the avenues near a soccer stadium. The location of the discovery is just a few yards away from Akron Stadium, where the Mexican soccer team Chivas de Guadalajara plays.

The local cops called state investigators who began a search of the area. Police found a shallow pit near an overpass that passes by Bosques de la Primavera Avenue and Periferico. In that pit, authorities found 18 trash bags filled with various human remains. It remains unclear how many bodies were inside the trash bags.

As Breitbart Texas reported, there have been numerous mass graves discovered in recent months in the state of Jalisco — an area controlled by Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion who uses extreme violence and social media videos to spread fear. In 2020 authorities found more than 185 bodies in three separate mass graves in the town of Tlajomulco.

In December, a group of hitmen assassinated the former governor of Jalisco, Jose Aristoteles Sandoval, in a ritzy bar in the tourist resort town of Puerto Vallarta, Breitbart Texas reported. The triggerman was able to reach the politician and shoot him even though he had a squad of bodyguards and police officers to defend him. That crime is also believed to be linked to the struggle between cartels for control of the region.

Abandoned Trailer Holding 233 Migrants Found in Mexican Coastal State

Human smugglers abandoned a tractor-trailer carrying 233 Central American migrants headed for the Texas-Mexico border. The trailer is the latest incident in a resurgent trend of moving large groups of migrants at a time. The failed smuggling attempt took place this week in the Mexican coastal state of Veracruz.

After getting the migrants out of the vehicle, emergency medical personnel tended to them and then immigration officials checked legal status. Police did not find the driver. The group was made up of migrants from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Belize.

The mass smuggling attempt comes days after authorities in Nuevo Leon stopped 108 migrants found stuffed in a trailer. In that seizure, officials stopped the vehicle near the town of General Bravo and found more migrants.

Nuevo Leon law enforcement sources consulted by Breitbart Texas revealed that since the start of 2021, they stopped more than 300 migrants in trailers — a concerning development given the historically low temperatures. In that border state, independent human smuggling groups pay protection fees to the Gulf Cartel to access their routes to Texas. The Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas also operates pathways to the U.S.

Top Mexican government officials are predicting an influx of migrants beginning in 2021.

Exclusive: Biden Policies Force Release of 200 Migrants into West Texas Border Community

Law Enforcement sources report the release of more than 200 mostly Central American family units into a West Texas border community. The Biden administration’s cancellation of swift removal policies for Central American migrants forced Border Patrol officials to begin the releases of certain migrants immediately.

The recent dismantling of international agreements by the Biden administration created a backlog of migrants being detained in Border Patrol facilities. Due to these changes, the Border Patrol will begin to release Central American family groups that cannot be removed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to their home countries, according to information obtained from sources with knowledge of the plans. The order to release the migrants comes with little notice to local humanitarian organizations.

Lack of bed space in ICE detention facilities designed to accommodate family units put Border Patrol officials in a quandary. The only option available to the Border Patrol is the immediate release of these migrants into humanitarian shelters. The non-governmental shelters will coordinate their travel to other destinations around the country.

In West Texas, migrants will be transported from the region surrounding Eagle Pass, Texas. Other cities within the area lack adequately staffed humanitarian shelters to handle the number of releases. In Eagle Pass, humanitarian shelters will work to accommodate the new arrivals.

As previously reported by Breitbart Texas, the shelters are currently providing humanitarian care for recently released Haitian Migrants. They are still receiving the population of released Haitians on Sunday, further complicating the situation.

The releases began on Saturday and will continue over the coming days. Border Patrol agents must complete the work to reprocess hundreds of Central American migrants and their release will be continuous until the task is complete.

Asylum case file amendments take several hours per migrant. This removes many Border Patrol agents from patrol duties. The timing of the move could not have been worse.

Texas Governor Greg Abbot declared a state of emergency for all Texas counties due to impending freezing weather. Many of the migrants travel lightly and lack cold weather apparel. With little advance notice, local humanitarian shelters will likely attempt to provide shelter, food, and clothing through donations.

In a recent tweet, a State Department spokesperson celebrated the end to Asylum Cooperation Agreements (ACA) with Central American countries that sped the removal process, thus preventing the overcrowding of Border Patrol Stations. These agreements also eased the strain on ICE managed detention facilities.

The border is in a state far from closed as thousands of migrants are being arrested by the Border Patrol weekly. Migrant releases, a rarity during the previous year, are now a frequent occurrence.

The new administration coined the term “irregular migration” apparently to soften earlier used terms such as “illegal immigration.” This perhaps is an attempt to deflect from the reality of what is happening along the southern border.

Witnesses reported seeing multiple Border Patrol contracted transportation vans dropping off released migrants at a local shelter on Sunday.

Other law enforcement sources outside the West Texas region are reporting migrant releases as a daily occurrence as well. One source reports the increase in illegal entries of previously removed asylum applicants under the Migrant Protection Protocols, known as the “Remain in Mexico” program. Most, however, are swiftly returned to Mexico under the CDC emergency COVID-19 order. They are being advised to wait until the DHS program unfolds next week allowing their return and release into the United States.

Breitbart Texas reached out to ICE officials for additional information. A response was not available as of press time.

Randy Clark is a 32-year veteran of the United States Border Patrol. Prior to his retirement, he served as the Division Chief for Law Enforcement Operations, directing operations for nine Border Patrol Stations within the Del Rio, Texas Sector.

Adult Cartel Leader Escapes Mexican Border State Juvenile Detention Facility

An adult cartel lieutenant broke out of a Tamaulipas juvenile detention facility where he was serving time for extortion. State authorities are tight-lipped about the escape and the probes into jailers who aided in the escape. The man belongs to a new Mexican border state organization going by the name “Cartel X.”

Over the past weekend, 22-year-old Mario Otoniel Garza Mendez slipped out of a state juvenile detention center in Guemez, law enforcement sources revealed to Breitbart Texas. The fugitive is a top leader within the newly formed Cartel X, which is fighting against the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel for control of the state capital, Ciudad Victoria.

Even though he is now an adult, Garza Mendez was a minor at the time of his conviction. He must therefore serve his full sentence in his original facility.

The Tamaulipas government has not released any formal statements about the case, however, law enforcement sources tell Breitbart Texas that prison guards and some state police officers are under investigation for letting Garza Mendez walk out the front door. The guards claim the fugitive scaled a perimeter wall to freedom, however.

Garza Mendez is considered a close associate of Jesus Gilberto “El Cholo” Acuña Jurado, the founding leader of Cartel X. Authorities in Chihuahua arrested El Cholo in July 2020 for extortion in Tamaulipas. The new organization is responsible for executions, abductions, and arson as a way of pressuring businesses to change the recipients of protection fees.

Originally a member of the CDN-Los Zetas, Garza Mendez was tied to criminal activity since his early teen years and used the nickname “El Soberano.” However, a betrayal within CDN-Los Zetas led to the kidnapping of Garza Mendez. He was tortured and left for dead. After he recuperated, he and El Cholo began to recruit Los Zetas deserters to form Cartel X. The fledgling organization initially focused on meth sales but recently branched into protection rackets.

Editor’s Note: Breitbart Texas traveled to the Mexican States of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities.  The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and in their original Spanish. This article was written by “Francisco Morales” from Tamaulipas.
