JOE BIDEN - IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY DREAM TO SEE AMERICA'S BORDERS SURRENDERED TO OUR ILLEGALS AND A MEXICAN FLAG FLY OVER THE WHITE HOUSE

There are about 10,000 people associated with MS-13 in the United States.... Joe Biden wants to know if they're registered to vote Democrat for more?

David Limbaugh: Time for 'Moderate' Dems to Stand Up to Biden at the Border

Everyone knows President Joe Biden ran as a moderate and is governing as a leftist radical, yet we see little evidence of Democrats, including the liberal media, breaking ranks from him. Why?

I've previously written about the lack of Democrats' dissent from their party's undeniable extremism and have always been met with the response that they don't dissent because there are no longer any moderate Democrats. Yet when I talk to my Democratic friends, they vehemently deny that they personally are extremists. Are they? Or might they just as well be?

Rank-and-file Democrats can no longer blame their rank partisanship and extremism on Donald Trump, who is no longer president. It's past time for them — and never-Trump Republicans, for that matter — to answer for Biden's disastrous policies.

Let's look at Biden's border debacle as one of many flagrant examples of raging Democratic and media hypocrisy, for they're giving Biden a complete pass and even defending him on the very policies for which they berated Trump.

Biden wholly owns this border train wreck, though he disingenuously continues to blame Trump. Trump's border policies were working. We had seen major progress in sealing the border; fewer migrants were entering the United States and cartels were being stymied. But Democrats, wedded to their open-borders agenda and their faux compassion for illegal immigrants, castigated Trump as a racist and particularly zeroed in on his allegedly inhumane treatment of children. Now the cartels are flourishing, and our borders are being overrun. And we know all the hyperventilating over the children had nothing to do with any genuine concern for them but with demonizing and defeating Trump — and cynically promoting Democrats' policies to flood the borders with future Democratic voters.

We know this because the Biden administration is doing nothing to address this growing and dangerously out-of-control border situation. This crisis is a direct result of Biden's virtual invitation to migrants to come on up, his promises of amnesty and welfare for illegals, and his emasculation of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Purely for appearances' sake, as we now know, Biden put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of this crisis, and she has done nothing except cackle when asked about her progress.

Border crossings by migrant children are way up. Children are being held, and Democrats are supplying misleading photos to dupe the public. U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar accused the Department of Homeland Security of trying to create the impression that the facility in Donna, Tex. was emptying out, when the youths held there were simply moved to a nearby location.

"All they're doing is, they're moving kids from one tent to the other and saying, 'Oh, they're not in the Border Patrol [custody],' but they're right next door," said Cuellar. This is a major scandal.

A few Democratic politicians are calling Biden out, but most Democratic officeholders, Democratic voters and liberal media outlets remain entirely silent or proactively deceitful about this travesty.

Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema met with the Arizona National Guard and reported that the federal government is not doing enough to deal with the issue. She joined Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) in sending a letter to Biden to support Gov. Doug Ducey's request that the government reimburse Arizona for its expenses in deploying the Guard. Ducey had said: "It's become evidently clear that Arizona needs the National Guard, and the White House is aware of that. Yet, to this day, there has been no action from this administration, and it doesn't look like they are going to act any time soon. If this administration isn't going to do anything, then we will."

Don't overlook those charges: The White House is aware but has taken no action and is unlikely to take action.

Let's review. Democrats and the media savaged President Trump for his inhumane treatment of children, using photos of kids in cages during the Obama administration, no less. The border situation under Biden is worse in every respect, from cartels to the inhumane treatment of migrant children to the border being overrun to illegal migrants being shipped all over the nation and in some cases becoming eligible for government handouts. But Biden denies the observable facts; his administration submits bogus photos to deceive the American people; he's ignoring border-state governors' requests for assistance; he pretends to empower Harris to address the problem and she does nothing; and the crisis continues to explode. Yet (most) Democrats and the media cover and thus enable this nightmare.

No self-respecting nation can long survive without protecting its borders, and yet one of our two major political parties and its media cohorts are deliberately fanning this dangerous flame in their quest for one-party rule. It would be bad enough if Democrats and the media were pursuing these abominable policies for misguided ideological reasons, but it's worse. This is about raw power and placing their party's interests above the national interest: They advocate open borders to paint themselves as loving and tolerant and tar Republicans as racists, and then they encourage millions of illegals to flood the borders to get sanctuary and welfare and be fast-tracked for amnesty — all to magically create millions of new Democratic voters.

Time for self-styled moderate Democrats to draw the line and prove me wrong.

Will Biden Ignore Both Bishops and Pew Research on Border Crisis?

President Joe Biden is getting high marks for his overall performance, but if there is one issue that is dogging him, it is the crisis at the border. He even refuses to call it a crisis. Indeed, neither he nor his border-in-chief vice president has shown any interest in visiting the border.

Two new surveys spell disaster for the president on this subject. The Pew Research Center poll found that almost 7 in 10 Americans say Biden is doing a bad job dealing with the increasing number of migrants who are crashing our border. Most want more staffing and resources made available to handle the throngs of people, often unaccompanied children, who are seeking asylum. The majority also favor improving the safety and sanitary conditions facing these people.

The public knows that the situation is worse now than before. In fact, over the past year there has been a 20% increase in the share of Americans who say illegal immigration is a "very big" national problem.

A poll by tippinsights (TIPP), commissioned by the National Sheriffs' Association, found that 55% of Americans think the border crisis is making matters worse for migrant women, many of whom are forced into indentured servitude and prostitution. Almost 6 in 10 say that the situation is increasing preventable migrant deaths. Half believe the southern border crisis is contributing to the spread of COVID.

Since Biden took office, he has issued almost 100 executive orders on immigration, approximately half of which reversed initiatives taken by the Trump administration. According to Rep. Scott Franklin, "What's happening on our border is unprecedented. We are on track for more illegal border crossings in 2021 than any time in the past 15 years—perhaps ever."

Biden is not only out-of-step with the public; he is at odds with the bishops as well.

The bishops along the border of the United States and northern Mexico released a joint statement last month saying, "Undoubtedly, nations have the right to maintain their borders. This is vital to their sovereignty and self-determination. At the same time, there is a shared responsibility of all nations to preserve human life and provide for safe, orderly, and humane immigration, including the right to asylum."

The Pew survey suggests that the public and these bishops are pretty much on the same page. We need to protect our borders and improve conditions for migrants. It is Biden who is out of sync.

A Lexis-Nexis search of Donald Trump and "we must protect our borders" turned up 884 instances where his name appeared with these words in a news story. A search of Joe Biden on this measure turned up one (that was over a year ago, and it was conditional in nature).

We need to know why. Why is there such reluctance on the part of President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to speak forthrightly about this issue? Why do they seemingly want to have more illegal aliens in our country? Moreover, Harris needs to stop with talk about "root causes." It is a dodge: If we treated every problem this way, it would be a prescription for paralysis.

At the very least, Harris needs to speak directly to those who are suffering, as well as to border patrol agents who are burdened by current policies. That, however, cannot be done from Washington, D.C.

Texas Lt. Gov.: Biden Administration Concealing Real Situation at the Border

(CNSNews.com) - Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick accused the Biden administration on Thursday of concealing all the information about the border from the public.

“Well first of all, the Biden administration is totally concealing all information coming out from the border, all information. You just cannot get information at the state level or any level. I'm not even sure Joe Biden and Kamala Harris know what's going on, and Henry Cuellar and the Democrats in the valley have been bold and brave talking about this issue,” Patrick told Fox News’s “America’s Newsroom.”

“I've gone to the facility in San Antonio and yes, I walked in one room, and it was empty, but the next room had 1200 kids in it. You can take a photo of an empty room and say no one’s here or take a photo of what’s really happening. They talk about deportations are down, because they’re not sending anyone back. They’re letting everyone stay. The border has never been in worse shape, never more overrun, and America is in trouble with their policy,” he said.

The lieutenant governor warned that the Biden administration is enabling the cartels to force women and children into sex slavery and forced labor.

“You have more criminals in Texas, more criminals coming to states across America because many go through Texas to other states. Bill and Dana, what you have here is Texas, we're spending even more money than our normal $800 million in our budget to try to catch criminals. In the past we would catch them, turn them over. They would be deported,” Patrick said.

“Now we catch them, we turn them over and they let them go. ICE is handcuffed. The Biden administration is putting American lives at risk.and The biggest sin of all is they are enslaving people. We just had the stash house in Houston last week,” the lieutenant governor said.

“We found 90 people living in one house - a lot of women and a lot children in the sex trade, in work slavery because they’re sending money back to the cartels paying part of their fee to get here. So modern-day slavery is taking place at the hands of the Biden administration by enslaving these people to the cartels who come to America to work or are forced into child, sex or women in massage parlors and other places,” he said.

“This is all orchestrated. The Biden administration should know about it. They should stop modern-day slavery that's taking place,” Patrick said.

“I’ve often looked back at history and said why did some countries do what in terms of part of the population in their country in this country and other countries and turn their back on them. Today, the Democrats are turning their back on children and women being enslaved and workers being enslaved in this country. They’re turning their back on them. It’s happening. We see it is every day,” he said.

“We know it’s happening. That stash house is a great example. They’re doing nothing about it, and who is speaking up for them? Republicans and some brave Democrats,” the lieutenant governor added.

MS-13 Member Pleads Guilty To Brutal Murder in Maryland

Dismantling the gang was a Trump administration priority

A drug dealer and MS-13 member pleaded guilty in a Maryland federal court on Thursday to charges stemming from the brutal murder of a rival gangster just outside Washington, D.C.

Moises Alexis Reyes-Canales, known to fellow gang members as "Sicopita," admitted to his involvement with the 2016 stabbing death of Jose Hernandez-Portillo in a Maryland park, as well as MS-13’s broader criminal enterprise, which has a strong presence in the capital region.

Even as leaders of the Biden Justice Department publicly promise a break with Trump-era policies, Thursday’s plea is a sign some Trump-era objectives will remain in place. In 2017, former attorney general Jeff Sessions directed the elite organized crime unit that investigated Reyes-Canales’s case to make MS-13 a top priority. That directive came after former president Donald Trump signed an executive order creating a whole-of-government approach to "destroy" the transnational criminal syndicate.

According to the plea agreement, Reyes-Canales and several others lured Hernandez-Portillo to Quiet Waters Park in Maryland in March 2016. Members of the gang struck Hernandez-Portillo with "a branch or stick," then stabbed him repeatedly. He died on the scene and was buried in a shallow grave.

Apart from the 2016 murder, Reyes-Canales admitted to plotting and attempting to murder two other individuals thought to be rival gang members. The defendant and several other associates ambushed the pair in October 2016 on a street near Quiet Waters Park with firearms and machetes. At one point during the ambush, one of Reyes-Canales’s confidants commandeered a car and tried to run the victims over. The victims were transported to the University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma Center with grisly, life-threatening injuries. Both survived.

"The violence perpetrated by Reyes-Canales and his fellow MS-13 members was brutal and tragic and is totally unacceptable," said acting U.S. attorney Jonathan Lenzner. "We need the continued help of members of our communities in order to carry on our work against MS-13."

Reyes-Canales also admitted that he and three other associates sold marijuana throughout the region, the proceeds of which were used to buy narcotics, guns, and support other MS-13 members in the United States and El Salvador.

Though MS-13 has an international presence, it operates via loosely connected local affiliates called "cliques." The cliques regularly consult with one another to share resources, information, and advice. Court papers show Reyes-Canales is a member of the Hempstead clique, one of at least nine cliques at work in Maryland. Reyes-Canales received approval to murder Hernandez-Portillo from gang leaders, the plea agreement shows.

"Incarcerated clique leaders based in El Salvador regularly communicated and directed orders to Maryland-based cliques through phones smuggled into Salvadoran prisons," prosecutors wrote in court documents.

In general, the cliques raise revenue through extortion of legitimate businesses or "taxes" on illegitimate operators on their turf, such as drug dealers and brothels. For example, prosecutors accused Reyes-Canales of assaulting a marijuana dealer with a blunt object because he wasn’t kicking a portion of his proceeds to the clique.

The two charges Reyes-Canales pleaded guilty to are RICO conspiracy and use of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. The maximum penalties for both charges is life imprisonment, though he will likely receive a lesser sentence as a result of the plea.

The plea deal came less than three weeks before Reyes-Canales’s trial was set to begin. Motions to exclude evidence were due by May 14, with the trial scheduled to begin on May 24.

There are about 10,000 people associated with MS-13 in the United States.

The case is U.S. v. Reyes-Canales in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 180 migrants in three human smuggling stash houses. The arrests came in raids on three residences in the Laredo, Texas, area within hours of each other on May 4.

Laredo South Border Patrol Station agents and the Laredo Special Operations Detachment (SOD) teamed up with ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents and Webb County Constables Office (WCCO) Precinct 2 deputies to investigate a possible human smuggling stash house located in central Laredo, according to information obtained from Laredo Sector Border Patrol officials.

The law enforcement team conducted a welfare check on the residence and found 68 migrants who were illegally present in the United States.

Later that day, Laredo South Station agents received information about a second human smuggling operation at a house located in south Laredo. The law enforcement team arrived and found 50 more migrants packed inside the residence.

The team assembled once again Tuesday night to investigate a third possible stash house for the day. In this incident, the law enforcement team discovered 65 migrants.

In total the team arrested more than 180 migrants, all illegally present in the United States, officials stated. The agents identified the migrants as foreign nationals from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico. Officials said none of the migrants packed inside the houses wore PPP equipment to deter the spread of COVID-19.

“All of the people rescued from these Stash Houses were being held against their will,” Laredo Sector Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Carl E. Landrum said in a written statement. “Human Smuggling/Trafficking are dangerous situations.  Please help others by reporting suspicious situations you see; you just might save a life.”

Agents provided the migrants with PPP and transported them to the station for processing.

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 150 migrants and an armed human smuggler in multiple failed human smuggling attempts over the weekend. The arrests took place as smugglers packed migrants into a variety of vehicles, including a stolen vehicle.

Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Austin Skero tweeted photos of multiple failed smuggling attempts where human smugglers packed migrants into vehicles. The interdictions led to the arrest of more than 150 migrants and at least one armed smuggler during vehicle stops by Border Patrol agents and other law enforcement partners.

Skero reported at least one of the human smugglers arrested had a gun in their possession. In another smuggling incident, agents recovered a stolen vehicle.

Skero also tweeted the punishment handed down to a U.S. citizen teenager who was recruited into the human smuggling business with promises of “easy money.” The 19-year-old convicted human smuggler now faces a sentence of 24 months in prison and three years of probation, Skero stated.

5 Foreign Nationals Charged in Texas Human Smuggling Stash House Operation

HOUSTON, Texas — The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas filed criminal charges against five “non-citizens of the United States” for their alleged roles in a human smuggling stash house operation. The alleged smugglers reportedly extorted the families of migrants being held in a house in southwest Houston.

Federal prosecutors filed a criminal complaint against Marina Garcia-Diaz, 22, El Salvador; Henry Licona-Larios, 31, Copan, Honduras; Kevin Licona-Lopez, 25, Santa Barbara, Honduras; Marco Baca-Perez 30, Michoacan, Mexico; and Marcelo Garcia-Palacios, 21, Oaxaca, Mexico, Fox 26 Houston reported. Police reportedly found nearly 100 migrants locked inside two rooms inside the stash house.

Law enforcement officials began an investigation after a woman contacted police saying that her brother had been kidnapped. The human smugglers, despite already having been paid “several thousand dollars” to be smuggled into the U.S., threatened to kill her brother if she did not pay additional smuggling fees.

An investigation led Houston Police Department officers to a house in southwest Houston where they found 97 “undocumented noncitizens” being held in two rooms of the house. Officials said the rooms had deadbolts on the doors to prevent the migrants escape.

A criminal complaint reviewed by Breitbart Texas states the men were being held in their undergarments.

The complaint states that the woman who reported the alleged kidnapping claimed to have initially paid smugglers $11,000 in February to bring her brother from Honduras to the United States. She said the smugglers demanded she drive from Dallas to Houston to pay an additional $6,300 for her brother to be released. The smugglers told her they would kill her brother if she did not pay, the complaint states.

Houston police officers executed a search warrant at the four-bedroom house on the city’s southwest side. The kidnapped migrants were locked inside two of those bedrooms.

Suspect Kevin Licona-Lopez was reported to be armed with a handgun by one of the witnesses. He also instructed the men to remove their clothes and surrender their cell phones. The witnesses identified the suspects as being in charge of the stash house operation, the complaint states. Lopez also reportedly told the migrants if they did not live, it was because their families did not pay.

Another suspect, Henry Licona-Larios, reportedly told the migrants that if their families did not pay, they would be be put in “four pieces of wood,” the complaint states. The witness said he understood the threat to mean they would be put in coffins six feet under.

Witnesses also reported the migrants were physically assaulted and threatened if they did not remain quiet inside the house.

Inside the home, investigators found envelopes with cash and “poll ledgers,” investigators stated.

Fox 26 News reported that five of the 97 migrants held in the two small rooms tested positive for COVID-19, according to a spokesman for the Houston Health Department. Five other migrants remain hospitalized pending COVID-19 test results.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the suspects are being held on charges of harboring, concealing, and shielding illegal aliens for the purpose of commercial advantage or private financial gain. If convicted on the charges, each defendant could face up to 10 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

George W. Bush Lobbies Republicans to Work with Joe Biden on Amnesty for Illegal Aliens

Former President George W. Bush is lobbying House and Senate Republicans to work with President Joe Biden on amnesty for illegal aliens.

In an interview with the Dispatch Podcast, Bush said Biden and Republicans ought to strike a deal to provide amnesty, at the least, to illegal aliens enrolled in or eligible for former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

“I think piecemeal probably makes sense and I think the president, if I could be so bold, is calling Republicans like-minded and saying ‘Let’s see if we can get something done,'” Bush said.

“Comprehensive may be too big of a reach right now,” Bush continued. “Like if they can get DACA done with some kind of border enhancement, you know plans to give Republicans comfort in voting for the bill, then all of the sudden there’s confidence to be gained.”

The statements come as Bush helps lead a charge among a Democrat-Republican coalition, big business interests, and the open borders lobby to provide amnesty to potentially millions of illegal aliens — a plan to which Biden gave a resounding endorsement in his first address to Congress last week.

In the address, Biden touted his amnesty for 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the United States while also urging Congress to pass two other amnesties: One for potentially 4.4 million illegal aliens and another for 2.1 million illegal aliens working on farms.

Bush, in recent weeks, revealed he is working the Koch network — run by the billionaire Koch brothers estate — to help Biden pass amnesty for illegal aliens. Not passing amnesty, Bush previously said, was his biggest disappointment as president.

The push comes as a survey from the pro-migration, Koch-funded Cato Institute reveals the extent to which Bush is out of step with Republican and conservative voters, as well as the majority of Americans.

The survey found 6-in-10 Americans want less overall immigration to the U.S., including 75 percent of Republicans and 76 percent of conservatives. Similarly, the survey showed 72 percent of Americans would prefer less immigration to the U.S. and more public benefits over more immigration and less public benefits.

Likewise, the survey confirmed opposing birthright citizenship is a mainstream Republican-held position.

In exclusive statements to Breitbart News, Republican staffers on Capitol Hill described Bush as an irrelevant globalist who does not represent the GOP’s base of voters or the majority of those in elected office.

“Republicans are well aware that his presidency was a national disaster on this issue as he failed to act when needed. Bush immigration policy has no impact today other than a reference on what not to do,” one House GOP aide said.

Exclusive: Migrant ‘Got-Away’ Total Exceeds 185K this Year, Says Source

A law enforcement source within Customs and Border Protection says more than 185,000 migrants escaped Border Patrol apprehension so far this fiscal year. On average, more than 30,000 illegal aliens avoided capture in the last 22 days the source said.

Breitbart Texas reported in mid-April, the “got-away” total exceeded more than 155,000 leaving Border Patrol leadership frustrated. Last year, 69,000 illegal migrants managed to avoid apprehension by the Border Patrol. In just over seven months of this fiscal year, which began on October 1, 2020, the number of “got-aways” nearly tripled last year’s totals. Sources report the sharpest increase began in January.

The metric is usually not released by the Department of Homeland Security. It is achieved by counting illegal immigrants who ultimately escape Border Patrol apprehension after being observed by aircraft platforms and camera systems. In addition, Border Patrol agents using traditional sign-cutting techniques identify footprints crossing the border and count those that elude apprehension.

“That’s where it gets tricky,” says one Border Patrol agent who did not wish to be identified. “On a small trail, dozens can walk all over each other’s footprints, so you just do your best. Often, they’ll glue carpet to the soles of their shoes making detection even harder.”

Sources report for these reasons, the “got-away” count is usually lower than reality. How much so is debatable as the latter method of counting is not scientific. The increasing “got-away” numbers come as CBP reports its highest apprehension totals since 2006.

Despite the current administration’s refusal to call the immigration situation on the border a crisis, the recent surges are concerning. The increasing number of unaccompanied migrant children crossing the border has Health and Human Services struggling to find sponsors within the United States. Many believe the impetus for the surges in illegal entries is being fueled by the promise of amnesty legislation. The Biden administration’s new policies regarding lax interior enforcement and a reduction in removals are also believed to be contributing to the surge in activity along the border.

Recent reports concerning the reduced patrols being conducted by the Border Patrol are likely contributing to the surge in the “got-away” count. Addressing the humanitarian needs of thousands of migrants crossing the border directly impacts the Border Patrol’s ability to patrol many remote areas. This situation is likely to worsen as the crisis develops.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents found 52 migrants in stash houses during a seven-hour period last week.

Rio Grande City Border Patrol Station agents working the border near Garciasville, Texas, on April 28 detected migrant tracks indicating a group illegally crossed the border from Mexico, according to information provided by Border Patrol officials. The agents began following the tracks north from the river.

The agents tracked the group of migrants to a suspected human smuggling stash house. Agents contacted the Starr County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in investigating the possible stash house operation.

While carrying out a welfare check on the residence, agents identified 10 migrants hiding in the home. All were determined to be illegally present in the United States, officials stated.

A few hours later, agents working with Starr County deputies identified three additional homes near Roma, Texas, believed to be operating as human smuggling stash houses. Authorities arrived at all three locations and found several migrants in each house who were identified as being illegally present in the U.S. Agents carried out immigration interviews and identified the 42 migrants as foreign nationals from Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua.

“With help from our law enforcement [partners], we will continue putting pressure on these dangerous smuggling organizations,” Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Patrol Agent Brian Hastings said in a tweeted message.

Agents transported all of the migrants to Border Patrol stations for processing and possible expulsion under Title 42 coronavirus protection protocols put in place by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“Even with the spread of the COVID-19 virus, human smugglers continue to try these brazen attempts with zero regard for the lives they endanger nor to the health of the citizens of our great nation,” Border Patrol officials said in a written statement. “The U.S. Border Patrol agents of the Rio Grande Valley Sector will continue to safeguard the nation and community against these criminal elements.

Texas game wardens, DPS troopers, and Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents teamed up in the rescue of 10 migrants who became distressed while illegally crossing the Rio Grande from Mexico. Game wardens responded after hearing people screaming for help in the river.

“Our agents and partners continue to save the lives of those in need,” Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Austin Skero tweeted. “With assistance from Texas Game Wardens, we recently responded and rescued 10 migrants that were heard screaming for help from an island in the river.”

The video shows Texas Parks and Wildlife wardens in their river patrol boat approaching the U.S. bank of the Rio Grande with a group of migrant adults and children. The game wardens heard the ten migrants screaming for help and pulled them into their boat.

Once they arrived at the Texas riverbank, Border Patrol agents and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers assisted in offloading the migrants and getting them ready for processing.

Water rescues in the Del Rio Sector have been on the rise in recent months, Chief Skero previously discussed. Just last week, Skero announced the deployment of a new water rescue vessel — a jet ski type watercraft with a towable flotation device, Breitbart Texas reported. This first-of-its-kind Border Patrol rescue vessel will enable Del Rio Sector agents to traverse shallow water to get to migrants in distress more quickly.

“This vessel can be quickly deployed in any water depth, improving our agents’ abilities to conduct rescues or aid agents working from land,” Skero tweeted. “Greater versatility saves both lives and time.”

Earlier this month, these agents rescued a two-year-old child and the child’s parents after agents found them struggling in the Rio Grande. Following this rescue, agents found 20 more migrants trapped on an island in the border river.

About a week earlier, a nine-year-old girl drowned during a border crossing attempt. Agents were unable to revive the girl but managed to revive the child’s mother and a sibling.

An illegal alien has been sentenced to five years in prison for killing a 24-year-old man in a drunk driving car crash in the sanctuary state of New Jersey.

Jesus Leal-Corona, a 49-year-old illegal alien, pleaded guilty in 2020 to second-degree vehicular homicide, two counts of third-degree vehicular assault, and drunk driving after hitting and killing 24-year-old Frankie Hensley of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in September 2019.

Leal-Corona, who had been living in Monroeville, New Jersey, admitted to police that he was drunk driving when he hit Hensley. At the time of the crash, Hensley was the passenger in a vehicle involved in a separate crash when he got out of the vehicle.

Then, Leal-Corona hit Hensley who was rushed to a nearby hospital and died hours later as a result of his injuries.

Leal-Corona was sentenced to five years in prison for the vehicular homicide charge and must serve 85 percent of his term before becoming eligible for parole. He also received a 3-year sentence for vehicular assault and 30 days in prison for the drunk driving charge.

Before the deadly crash, Leal-Corona had been arrested in Texas and New Jersey. Despite those arrests, Leal-Corona was never deported. New Jersey’s broad sanctuary state policy, which shields criminal illegal aliens from federal arrest and deportation, could prevent Leal-Corona from being turned over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency following his sentence.

HOUSTON, Texas — A Texas jury rendered a sentence of life without parole to an MS-13 gang member convicted in the killing of a Houston-area teenager. The victim witnessed several gang-related murders before being lured to Missouri City, Texas, for his own execution.

A jury in Harris County, Texas, sentenced Douglas Alexander Herrera-Hernandez, an MS-13 gang member who illegally entered the United States in December 2014, to spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of 16-year-old Estuar Quinonez. The victim suffered 15 gunshot wounds as he sat on a park bench in Buffalo Run Park on June 13, 2016, Fox 26 Houston reported.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officials confirmed to Breitbart Texas that Herrera-Hernandez, aka “Terror,” entered the U.S. illegally as an Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC) by crossing the Rio Grande in December 2014. Officials reported the migrant was 17 years old at the time he crossed the border.

Border Patrol agents released him under President Barack Obama’s catch and release policies with a “notice to appear” before an immigration court. A Houston immigration judge issued a final order of removal against Herrera-Hernandez after he failed to appear for his hearing.

Just under one year later, Herrera-Hernandez murdered 16-year-old Estuar Quinonez in Missouri City, Texas, a suburb of Houston, Breitbart Texas reported. Quinones reportedly witnessed several MS-13 gang-related murders. Missouri City police, working with the Houston Police Department, identified the Salvadoran national as a suspect in the murder.

Herrera-Hernandez fled from Texas and was later arrested by police in Virginia in late July 2017, Breitbart Texas reported. In addition to the murder of Quinones, the MS-13 gang member also allegedly shot and killed 26-year-old Kevin Alvarez in southeast Houston on July 9, 2017.

During the trial, prosecutors told the jury that Herrera-Hernandez got permission from MS-13 gang leaders in El Salvador to kill Quinonez, the local Fox affiliate reported. The now-convicted killer gathered several gang members to carry out the execution of the victim. Herrera-Hernandez and another gang member picked up Quinonez and brought him to the park where the gang members fired multiple gunshots including one to the head.

“We are trying to break the back of this organization by sending their assassins to prison for as long as possible and we will remain unrelenting in our pursuit of these criminals who band together to terrorize communities,” Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg told reporters.
