(CNSNews.com) - The Biden administration is "making every state a border state -- every town a border town," Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) warned on Thursday night.

She's one of three Republican lawmakers from Tennessee who is demanding answers on the stealthy movement of unaccompanied minors from the border to Tennessee and other states:

"What they are doing is shifting the burden to the states," Blackburn told Fox News's Sean Hannity:

And once they do that, they're making every state a border state -- every town a border town. But this is the first link in a chain of bad immigration policies. But they're shoving this cost for education, child services, housing, all of the healthcare onto the states. Now, as you have these communities, the illegal migrants coming into cities, what are blue city mayors going to do? They're going to do sanctuary cities.

But what the Biden administration is doing is specifically this: They have now apprehended 500,000 people at the border from 160 countries. They're putting them on planes and flying them to states without any knowledge of the governors. I've just talked to our governor tonight [Republican Bill Lee]. And the governors don't know it. The local officials don't know it.

And Sean, that is how they are shifting this burden and moving them across the country. You know, they should be putting them on a plane and sending them back home to their families.

In a May 20 letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Tennessee Reps. Bill Hagerty, Chuck Fleishmann, and Sen. Blackburn expressed concern about the “management of unaccompanied alien children in federal custody and where they’re being housed."

"We are particularly concerned about recent reports regarding the use of Chattanooga, Tennessee, as a central location for resettling UACs in the United States," they wrote. The lawmakers point to media reports saying at least four planeloads of UACs have landed in Chattanooga, where the minors were loaded onto buses and transported “to multiple cities across the southeastern United States for apparent resettlement, with zero transparency regarding what was happening."

Blackburn said Gov. Lee had declined a request from the Biden administration to accept some of the migrant children.

"And this is a 10th Amendment violation, because they're doing it anyway. They're sending them into these communities with no one's knowledge.

"So, if any of your viewers see this happening in their community, if see these planes and buses coming into the community, call their local Fox affiliate. They will come out and cover this and make certain that people know about it.

“Because this will force the state -- once these individuals show up for education, healthcare, housing, children's services -- the state, the taxpayer is paying the bill for every bit of this," Blackburn said.

"And one of the things that is so egregious -- you have the cartels. Nobody crosses the border unless they're going through a cartel. But then what is the U.S. Federal government doing? They're finishing the job for the cartel. Because once someone is caught, they (feds) take them, the taxpayer is paying for it, and we find out they are flying them and busing them to a neighborhood near you."

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended a large group of migrants who illegally crossed the border last week near San Miguel, Arizona. Officials reported 105 of the 124 migrants as unaccompanied minors.

Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John Modlin tweeted images of a large group of migrants apprehended Monday night near San Miguel. The group consisted of 124 migrants including 105 unaccompanied children.

Modlin stated that Tucson Sector agents normally apprehend groups of single adults. This group of unaccompanied children was outside the norm.

During Fiscal Year 21, which began on October 1, 2020, through the end of April, Tucson Sector agents apprehended just over 100,000 migrants — an increase of 167 percent over the previous year’s 37,559. Of those, only 8,967 were unaccompanied minors.

Also last week, Douglas Station agents assigned to the horse patrol unit encountered a group of 32 Mexican nationals who illegally crossed the border near the Arizona/New Mexico state line in the southeast corner of the state.

Modlin tweeted a photo showing the migrants wearing camouflage clothing in an attempt to blend into the surroundings.

Earlier this month, Modlin welcomed the newest members of the sector’s horse patrol units.
